(00:21):
you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. There's been a lot
of nonsense over the past several months in the NBA.
A lot of it has meant nothing. We've blown stories
that aren't that big a deal out of proportion. But
now it all comes down to the next month and
a half to two months. The playoffs are here and
(00:41):
we've got you covered here on Fox Sports Radio. I
am Jonas Knox. He is Katino Mobile, former NBA badass
with us here on Fox Sports Radio in for Doug Gottlieb.
Want to let you know that The Doug gott Leap
Show is brought to you by Farmers. At Farmers, we've
seen almost everything, so we know how to cover almost anything,
and it's game time. Have an experienced player to help
(01:02):
you stay ahead of the game. Put their experience into play.
At Farmers dot com. Katino Mobile you you had you
had a lot of experience in the NBA playoffs, correct, Yeah,
you had enough. So this time of year, it's got
to feel like muscle memory to where now doesn't your
(01:22):
body just sort of d d get in playoff modeven
when you're not a player. Oh yeah, you start. I
mean you you actually start uh jelling as a team
in February, right after All Star break, right because you
took your little especially if you didn't make All Stars
or whatever, you didn't go to the event. You take
your little break right there, just to get your reboot
for the second half, which is the most important half
(01:43):
of uh, you know, basketball, and especially for your team.
So you know, when that that late February early April,
you're saying yourself, Okay, guys, yeah, let's sacrifice, no going
out late, make sure you sleep well, you know, let's
do extra shooting, you know, just to get yourself ready
for that mid April May. And so the playoffs are
gonna be starting coming up tomorrow. Uh. And we've heard
(02:05):
look all year long, we've heard from so many people, well,
you know, the regular season, it should do whatever. They're
just kind of getting through it to get into the postseason. Block.
It is that even possible? Can you just sort of
coast your way through the regular season to some extent
and then all of a sudden the playoffs get here
and you just ratchet it up. How funny is this? Right?
It's like you think about the teams when when I
was younger, right, Uh, you have forty three So back
(02:30):
in the nineties, the only team I really saw do that,
and actually the only team that does that now. So
the only team I really saw do that with Chicago Bulls.
They would coast and they still win fifty sixty games,
but they would coast right then when it got to
the playoffs, they turned up another notch. And I think, uh,
the only team that does that now is Golden State Warriors.
(02:52):
That's the only team that does that right now. Everybody
else If if you think Boston's going like, oh yeah,
well we're just waiting, No, that's not how it works, right,
those guys the have enough experience, and I don't think
and I love Kyrie Iver, don't get this wrong, Kyrie
and Kyrie fans, He's not that guy to say, Okay,
I'm going to turn it up now and then put
(03:13):
the team on my back. So we can win a championship.
I haven't seen that yet, right, Like Lebron James, the
first guy when you were in Cleveland, then you were
it wasn't Kyrie and then Lebron James. And I think
it's funny though, because we sort of criticize um and
and this is why we wonder why some of these
guys go out and chase rings and want titles and
all this stuff, because they're told that no matter what
(03:36):
you do, doesn't matter what it is. You russell Westbrook
three straight years with averaging a triple double. Okay, big deal,
what did you do in the postseason? Well, here we are,
and you wonder why some of these guys put such
a premium on the postseason nowadays, because they're told your career,
according to us, according to media members who weren't good
enough to play, like myself or fans out there who
(03:57):
weren't good enough to play, that your career is not
validated unless you win a ring. And then we wonder
why guys do load management and then want to go
chase rings and form super teams. So here we are
in the postseason here, and I just think that too
much is put on the postseason from the outside when
there's already enough put from the inside. But but so
(04:18):
many guys hear the voices and are told you're not
good enough unless you do this. And now here we are,
and I just wonder how it plays out because you've
had a lot of players who have been resting, picking
their spots, trying to get to this point. Now here
we are and then we go out and we play.
That's that's such a great point. You know. It's a
couple of names come to mind for me before I've
(04:41):
played Rod Strickland, who was amazing and um uh Srefa
do Brahim he was a twenty and ten guy, right
and he was he wasn't on great teams. Um to me,
like you said, the perception of you have to do this,
you have to make the playoffs, you have to do this,
you have to win ring to be really good. Those
(05:02):
guys are really good those and I'm not like for
me if the Paul says, if I had you know,
um um Skeel Meal or Lebron James, I can win
five or six. Well, I mean a lot of really
good players can say that same thing, right, Like it's
it's all about the organization. The coach, uh, the GM right,
the management, A lot of that comes into play as well,
(05:24):
because you can be amazing as a player, but you
just don't have the supporting cast to get to that
next level. Right, because the Lakers were on another level
in San Antonio was on another level, and that when
this is the early two thousand's, we couldn't get past
them hard and nobody does it alone. You can't do
it on the One thing about the NBA Playoffs is
(05:45):
regardless of whatever you think about whoever wins it, the
best team wins every single time. Because you have so
many seven games series and you can argue about whether
or not the opening round should be a seven game series.
I don't think it should be. Um, I think it's
too long. And these playoffs are gonna go until June,
and there's gonna day off in between all that stuff,
so it drags out for so long. It's impossible to
(06:08):
have one great player and a supporting cast and go
in In an NBA championship, you can't do it because
you have to beat teams over and over and over
again until you finally beat enough of them and then
you go and you win a championship. So everybody needs help.
Everybody needs help. But I don't care who you are,
you can't find me one player in the history of
(06:29):
the NBA who wanted all by himself. It's not possible
the way the playoffs are set up. And it's so
funny you said, right what you just explained, it's common
sense a lot of people when they start to speak
about uh players productivity, productive or um, how good they are,
they kind of forget that basketball. You need five guys,
(06:52):
not one. Right, like Alan Iverson, you were amazing. But
if you don't have Aaron McKee and Ma Tumbo and
George Lynch and Eric Snow who are defensive minded people,
you may not get to the finals. It wasn't Matt
Geiger on that team too. I love that was my God.
By the way, if you have any questions on Matt Geiger,
(07:13):
you just come straight to the source. I'm your Geiger
insider here on fre the best. But yeah, you do
so look Alan's yeah, he wash it was and we
mean that, we mean that as a compliment. But no,
Alan Iverson, he went as far as you possibly could
(07:35):
without the greatest supporting cast and the fact that they
got one game against the Lakers and him stepping over
Tyron loose corpse after he hit a shot in the corner.
The fact that he did that just shows you how
great Iverson was. But even as great as he was,
wasn't great enough. He can't beat all those guys. You
can't beat all those guys. And listen, it's not football.
(07:56):
Football is one game, okay, whoever best team wins. Football
is one game, and something well in football usually is
not the best team. It's just to play. It's just
something that happens. Is you know, it's what it is,
right because I believe that the Saints should have been
in the Super Bowl opposed to and if they, if
they play a seven game series, maybe the Saints win.
(08:17):
But then and now you think about this in basketball,
Alan Everson the very first game, he really deep down
the side, thought he was gonna win. The Lakers, Phil Jackson,
Derek Fisher, all those guys said, be cool, it's okay.
Kobe Bryant, you know saying that, you know, Rick All,
I'm saying that. It's like, we're gonna go back, look
at what we did wrong, and then these next four
(08:38):
games they have to beat us on this. And that's
what made it for what you know what I mean.
And I also think another guy who I don't think
it's enough credit for being a great player because people
just look at the highlights, Dominique Wilkins. Dominique Wilkins was
a great player man, And the Hawks had really good teams.
Doc Rivers, Kevin Willis was on the team. Like they
(09:00):
had really good teams. But because the East was so
stacked at that time, where you had the Bulls and
the Knicks and the Pistons and the Celtics, then who
are still relevant? It just I think it's I think
we all assume that, well, it's a superstar league. Yeah,
you're right, it's a superstar league, but you better have
more than one superstar if you're gonna win a championship.
So as you look around the NBA playoffs right now,
(09:23):
and you just look at it being a superstar driven,
uh league, and and you need more than just a
superstar to go out there and win a game, who
do you immediately look at right now and go all right,
well they can't win, Like like there's a team that
look great season. I mean, obviously you can look at
the Brooklyn Nets, Um, you can take a look at Um,
(09:43):
the Detroit Pistons, maybe the Orlando Magic. Like, you need
a lot to win an NBA championship. So when people
tell you, well, that guy, yeah he was great, but
he wasn't good enough and he his career wasn't this
because he didn't want a title. Look, there's a lot
that goes into it. I think sometimes people get discredited
just because they don't have that ring, when the reality
(10:04):
is they were awesome, they just didn't have enough help around.
And you know what, you can look at Milwaukee and
Milwaukee is great, right, but a steady diet of seven games.
I love the Greek Freak. He's my favorite. And I
you know, listen, I don't want Lebron to retire, but
when he does, I can't wait because Greek Freak is
gonna be the next guy, especially when he gets a jumper,
(10:24):
consistent jumper. But they don't have it, right, they don't
have it. I love Middleton, I love Eric Bledsoe. Brook
Lopez has expanded his game out to the three. That's great.
You know you got the kid? Uh Brobden is that
his name? Brob Obama? Call him Obamacare has Obama's voice?
(10:45):
How you do it? He's got the everything he speaks.
You ever hear him talk? Can you can? I can?
I throw to you real quick and just pretend that
you're Obama? Right, let me just do it. Let's go
live now, Barack Obama joining us here on sports radio. Barrock,
your thoughts on the playoffs? Well, I don't know, Jones. Uh,
(11:06):
that's that's uh figure it out, like, uh, how many
people do you think are day drinking right now? Going,
Oh my god, they've got Barack Obama. I'm not good
at it, but it's so funny. Listen to this kid
when he speaks. He's so polite, so respectful, and he
has that politician kind of demeanor. It's the craziest thing.
(11:28):
It's two years ago. I think it was about two
years ago. Rest in peace of Super Butler. We were
at the NBA Awards show and uh in New York
and the kid walks up to me and we're talking.
I'm like, is this Barocks or something? So strong handshake
like I love. I'm a fan of that kid. But again,
(11:49):
back to with Milwaukee. They have a great team, but
they don't have it yet. Right. I've seen Middleton do well,
but then I've seen him when it's really CRUI show
kind of get lost. Yeah, and Greek you need another
guy in a half to even compete to that next level. Okay,
(12:10):
So who has it in the Eastern Conference? Who's got it?
When you look at him, you go, that's a team
that's got it in the Eastern Conference. Six Ers got it.
Jimmy Butler is a dog. He's he might be a
little weird and crazy, you know what I mean. He
wants to win. He has that. Tom tiboat Tom Tibodeau
was my coach. I love Me's the best defense coach ever, right,
the worst office of coach ever, the worst, He's the worst.
(12:34):
Oh my god, Tom, don't say nothing when it comes offense.
I love you when it comes to defense. You taught
me so much. But I like them and I you
know JJ Reddick and and you have Tobias Harris and
you have the Closer and then be down low and
you know, uh right now. And I'm not really a
fan of Ben Simmons. I'm not a fan. He's just
(12:54):
he's tall, right, It's it's I don't know, he's talented,
but I just I'm not a fan of his. But
he can take them to a level. He can't help
them get to another level. And I think that's the
that's the team to beat because Kyle Lory uh from
my neighborhood. He went to my high school, one of
(13:15):
my best he went to my best friend's school, Villanova. Um,
he played in my AU team somewhere. It happens to
that guy in the playoffs. That's my point. I just
can't count on I can't. I can't count on them
yet because, like you said before, this right, my big
psychology and communications. I believe patterns, patterns or something else,
and that might be a psychological thing. When the playoffs comes,
(13:35):
you shut down. But you have Marcus all now, you
have quite learning. Now you have Green now right, you
have a box comeback. You have guys that's going to
be there for you just in case you slip up
and have a brain for you. Got Van van whatever,
the little little Vane, a little short Drake looking yeah, yeah,
you know, he looks like Drake's little cousin, you know,
I mean, yeah. So the Eastern Conference is gonna be
(13:59):
a lot of fun, though, especially after this opening round
for hour along that drags out. But it'll be a
lot of fun, all right, he is Katino Mobile. I'm

Coming up in about ten minutes from now here on
fs are. Katino has got a theory on a quarterback
(16:06):
dilemma in the NFL. Alright, so that is an exclusive.
You'll here a quarterback dilemma in the NFL coming up
ten minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio right now, though,
Chris Haynes joins us here on fs ARE. He's a
senior NBA insider for Yahoo Sports. You can get him
on Twitter at Chris B. Haynes. You can also check
out his podcast posted up with Chris Haynes here on
(16:29):
fs ARE. Chris, thanks so much for the time. We
appreciate it. Thanks for having me. Guys. What's up, Chris?
What is the We've seen the back and forth with
you know, Magic Johnson leaving. Did he know or did
Genie bus know? Did she not know? As it stands
right now, what is the latest on the Lakers situation
(16:49):
and the search for a new president of basketball operations. Well,
obviously you know, the search and foremost something they have
to get. I think they get it done. And the
extra this is fashion because the Lakers need to show
that they have to build it around. They have to
they you know, they're going to free agency summer. They
all see you know, obviously saw it already. They need
(17:12):
to get somebody atter him right now and then let
that person who's gonna hold that leadership um make a
few um baby steps, uh, you know, make some moves
that's going to you know, shine a positive light on
the Lakers and to to to where they can go
into the free agency period, you know, on on a
(17:32):
good note, what what players and that agents are saying, Hey,
because they can you know, doing some good things over there.
Uh you know maybe they got there, maybe they got
their stuff together. Um, So that that's first and foremost.
And then I think whoever takes that position, Zeny has
to allow them, uh the free authority and taught me
(17:52):
to do as they see fit with the franchise and
with with the staff of achieve and if that means
um removing rock Polika, that they would so be it.
But they she got to a lack somebody to come in,
and that's somebody who competent improving and holding that position.
Fire that could come in and just change the course
(18:14):
that from day one. And you know that that's right now.
That's what they're trying to do, is you know local,
you know it target from my ideal candidates. But I
think before they do that, they have to make sure
they all the same page. And given that candidate a
free of time me to to do what he sees
for he is Chris Haynes with us here from Yahoo Sports,
(18:36):
joining us here on Fox Sports Trader Coatino Mobile. Jonas
knocks here on fs are filling in for Doug gottlieb. Um,
how much of the future of the Lakers will Lebron
James have an input in? Uh? Yeah, he has to
have a large input I would think, you know, obviously,
(18:56):
I think, um, you know, the final say, of course,
is going to be up to management ownership, but they
what every move that's being considered, that's that's that's that's
being seriously to ship. You have to run through by
Lebron James and get his thoughts on him. You know,
get the thoughts on the player. What's he liked, what's
his background? Do you think he's committed to win it?
(19:18):
Do you think he's committed to sacrifice and all those things.
Lebron James has a great false on most players in
the NBA, So they have to run things by him. Now,
if Lebron James doesn't give a ring and endorsement, all right,
they were seriously I have to consider that because you know,
you want to keep Lebron James happy to an extent.
But ultimately, you know, the final stab will be up
(19:39):
to the ownership of bassman Chris Hayscatino. So I got
what's your brother? So I'm sitting here thinking like you know,
I have these conspiracy theories, started talking about them. You know,
Lebron picking uh Kevin durant the last couple of years
and all stars, right, I don't know that's subliminal. I
(20:00):
don't know what what is? You know, I think the
blond Lebron has no problem deferring when it comes to
a superstar like that, whether it's Kauai or Kevin Durant. Um.
You brought up an interesting point of as far as
Gennie letting whoever it is come in, uh take over,
and I go back to say Doc Rivers, right, Doc
(20:23):
had control of damn near everything and it didn't go
well for the Clippers. And then you know you have
uh Jerry West coming in to kind of revamp a
lot of things. And then Doc came back to what
he does best, and that's coach. Right. I think what
Genie needs to do, because you know, Genie has been
in this situation since what she's about she she don't Magic.
(20:44):
She was seventeen. Magic's nineteen when he came in, and
as she sees the highs and the loads of the Lakers,
a lot of things is what I've learned, especially if
not just from basketball, from just in business. You can't
be emotional with things, right, And I think there's a
lot of emotion that comes on because Genie's attached herself
to a lot of Luke Wall and this person, that person,
(21:05):
Kobe one of her guys, and just so happened that
Rob Polinka becomes you know, head of this that or
whatever for the Lakers. I think, and you correct me,
I think Genie needs to you have to get somebody
that's what, uh maybe that the Dave Griff or the
guy from Toronto GM. You have to get uh, the
(21:25):
Jerry Westers of the world, and then sit back and
just be the owner, right, sit back and let everybody
else do what they do best, especially in the franchise
like this where the standards are so high, you can't
just bring in part time people, right. I just think
she needs everybody needs to play their own role. And
(21:48):
and and I don't think that you have You have
newbies and playing roles that are very very expensive roles
when it comes to responsibility. What do you think, Well, no, yeah,
you know a couple she points there, you know, playing
your role and getting out the way. But also I
think you know, you you touched on. You know, she's
doing magic for so long, and for so long, you know,
(22:12):
it's been a bus run organization. I wrote my story
a couple of days ago about how Magic. You know,
sources told me that Magic uh identified you know, when
he was going to let go a loop, but he
identified Mark Jackson, Um, Tyler lou and Monty Williams. And
(22:34):
I heard that there was um some pushback initially from
Zeni because she she she didn't want to she didn't
want the perception to be out there that Lebron James
or his agent Rich Paul were kind of running the
coaching search. And you know, I was only at one
point she said, this is a this is a bus
rand organization. UM. So we're having that mindsetting that in mentality.
(22:57):
I think it's important that they get out that mindset
of thinking that they have to bring in somebody who
has laker ties or somebody was part of the family.
So if you look at look at the people that's
out there who have laker ties and there and they
can handle this role, it's probably only Jerry West. He
ain't coming back. And so you know they're they're gonna
(23:18):
have to step outside of that Laker family, bringing somebody
who's competent, who's qualified, and who's proven that they can
do the job. You know, they have Rob Perlinker and
Magic Johnson at the him, but come on, you know
there was no experience between of those gides putting off
this job. So it's very important to bringing somebody's competent, qualified,
(23:40):
somebody will handle the role. And you know the guy
who was the top of my list is David Griffin.
You know, somebody Cavaliers, GM, yeah, Levelner Championship, obviously familiar
with Lebron change now knows how to work with him.
So I think that's the ideal fit. But also you
gotta look at somebody like Bob Mayer's go to State
and you mentioned saw you Jimy. You know, he definitely
(24:01):
shouldn't get my call. She what's up? But it's so
funny we were somebody I like his. Well, it's so funny.
It's so funny when you say David Griffin, right, you're
gonna have Lebron hater saying, look, Lebron's taking over the Lakers.
He's gonna run everything. He's gonna have a gim he's
gonna have to the hot dog sellers. Everybody's working for them,
like it's just so funny. But you are basketball expert,
(24:21):
you know. I know Jonis knows like David is one
of the best guys out there. Right, It's not even
about Lebron James. It's about how well of a job
that he does, period it is. But you know, I
understand Jennie's concerned because, look, say they go ahead and
hire David Griffin. Okay, then then David Griffin goes and
(24:42):
hires Tyln lou so what. But you know, those are
two the top caaratives left in their fields. And so
I think if you're trying to win, you go after
the you know, you after the best and you know,
and don't worry about the optics, go after the best. Condus. Yeah,
(25:05):
he is. Chris Haynes, Senior NBA inside of for Yahoo Sports. Chris,
the last one for you here before we let you go.
The three names that could be moving places after this
season that are in the playoffs right now, the three
big names, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Kawai Leonard. What needs
to happen in those three places for those guys to
(25:26):
resign with their current teams in the off season. Well,
I think Kauai, I think it's very crucial that they
get to the conference finals, um maybe even the NBA
Finals to to get close to guaranteeing that he comes back.
You know, look, the Clippers are in Plus, the Clippers
(25:46):
are like there, you know, we know that we've been
putting out on that for the last year. They're going
to be in place. So it's definitely important that they
go they go deep. I don't know necessarily that it's
important for Boston to go deep. Uh, obviously that help
with with Kyrie. But when it when it comes to
che Durant, I don't you know, most people believe his
(26:08):
mind is made up, you know, so you know, I don't.
I don't think it's a playoff run or a championship
is going to change his mind. I think his mind,
his might has made up, whether it was leaving or
going to go to State. But I think obviously when
you talk about Kauai and Kyrie, uh, their two success
is going to play more more of a factor or
what the season ate they ultimately make it to lie
(26:30):
k D. I think most people believe, you know, it's
it's a it's a done deal either way, You can
get him on Twitter at Chris B. Haynes. You can
also check out his podcast posted up with Chris Haynes.

Fame quarterback and a soon to be Hall of Fame
quarterback in the NFL. So that's coming up next. But
for all the latest from around the world of sports,
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello and give a warm welcome
hello to the always positive Steve Disager. Good afternoon, gentlemen.
Let's look at the Master's leader board. Is there winding
down round number two For some of the golfers, including
for Jason Day, who's now tied for the lead with
(27:37):
Francesco Molinari, who shot a second round sixty seven. Day
also at minus seven, one stroke head of Dustin Johnson,
who still has a couple of holes to go. Phil
Nicholson has tied for fourth place, two shots back. He
has three holes to go. Michelson has even par for
the day. Tiger Woods is even for the day so far,
He's only through five holes in his second round. He's
at minus two, so Woods is five back of the
(27:59):
co leaders Day and Mulinari. Major League Baseball, the Angels
have won six in a row, but they're down four
one to the Chicago Cubs at windy Wrigley Field as
they end the fourth inning of play. All the runs
coming on home runs so far today five and our
winds at Wrigley chance of snow there Sunday. By the way,
Mike Trout of the Angels out again with a groat jury.
(28:19):
He's meeting with doctors in l A today. Detroit at Minnesota,
Tonight's scheduled game rained out temperatures in the thirties there.
Yankees will host the White Sox tonight. White Sox just
three and eight. They've lost five in a row. Yankees
catcher Gary Sanchez was placed on the injured list with
a strained calf. The NBA playoffs start tomorrow. The NHL
Playoffs continue tonight, including number one Tampa Bay at home
(28:41):
to Columbus. The Blue Jackets stole game number one. Forest
Greg has passed away. He is known to modern fans
as a Super Bowl coach, got the Bengals there f
C champs. But for the older folks, Forest Greg was
a Hall of Fame offensive lineman in Green Bay. A
great career there. Forest Gregg passing away age of eighty five.
(29:01):
Carolina signed former Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan to a
one year deal. We'll be back to the show in
ten seconds. But first a word from farmers that Farmers insurance.
We know a roof can withstand a lot. One exception
being an airborne car. I've seen it, covered it, Dr Farmers,
we are Farmers underwritten my Farmers Truck Fire Insurance exchanges
(29:23):
and affiliates products not available in every state. Jonas and
Contino back to you. Thanks Steve Jonas, Knox Coatino Mobile,
and for Doug Gottlieb here on Fox Sports Radio in
about twelve minutes from now here on FS are we
are going to look into the future. Are We're going
to look into the future, including the NBA playoffs. We
will tell you what is going to happen that twelve
minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio. But we
(29:45):
were talking a little bit before the show, and people
may not know this, but Katino Mobile, you come from
a football family. All right, you played in the NBA
a long time, but you're a football guy at heart. Yeah. Football, Yeah,
a quarterback, where receiver, a grade school, high school. My
cousin's John Mobile's. I watched them Broncos with Trelle David,
Trell Davis and Shannon Sharp and John Elway to three amigos.
(30:05):
I loved all those guys um and growing up, but
I wanted to be Randall Cunning him, My god, I
love him. That's the reason why my high school my
jersey was twelve because of Randall. Oh. He was awesome.
I think I think he gets a law. He's kind
of like a Dominique Wilkins to where you think about
yeah they were he was awesome, and you just look
at the highlights, but then you don't I think you
have like a ninety eight yard punt. At one point,
(30:28):
he could do anything anything. He was awesome. Um, so
we were we were talking about this because Brett Farve,
NFL Hall of Famer former Green Bay Packer. There's been
a lot of drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers and the Packers
and all that. Brett Farve appeared on TMZ Sports and
he had this to say about his former teammate Aaron Rodgers.
(30:48):
There's absolutely no doubt that he's probably the most dynamic
player in the game right now, maybe ever, you know
what a playmaker? All right, So now you hear that
and you go, that's a nice thing for him to say.
And I'm looking at it from a positive standpoint. I'm thinking, Man,
Brett Farve given out compliments on a Friday. That's beautiful.
I love to hear it. Unfortunately, not everybody here is
(31:09):
as positive as me, because Katino Mobile sprinkling a little
negativity on the story and apparently you don't like you
don't like what Brett Farve did. No, it's not that
I don't like it. Listen. I come from a psychology
and communications background, right, so I kind of like think
of I think of things differently than everybody else. Right,
So I'm like, I'm pulling the way to fat. I'm
trying to see from the bones of what's really going on. Right.
(31:32):
So for for for so many years, they weren't even cool, right,
And it says right here says in two thousand, two thousand,
he said this in two thousand and five Milwaukee Journal.
My my contract doesn't say I have to get Aaron
Rodgers ready to play. That's not me making that up.
That's him saying that. Right. They weren't the best of
(31:53):
friends in its thirteen years. So, yes, you do mature. Yes,
the sourness of the Green Bay not wanting you to
finish out your Really, I don't know. I have no clue.
Brett far As one of my favorites. I love quarterbacks.
If I had to come back in the next life,
I want to be a quarterback. I might want to
even be Brett Farve right, like I just I love
the way he played. I loved all the quarterbacks that
ever played. I love those guys. But it just so
(32:16):
happened that the most powerful guy in Green Bay is
wearing number twelve, and for the next six years he's
gonna get almost two hundred million dollars. So like, do
you want to and you want to be like John
Elway in Front Office? Because if you do, you better
watch it, you say. Anyway, right, you can't have those
same relationships that you had for the last thirteen years.
(32:36):
That's just my perspective because you would have helped him
back in the day and you've been you'd have been
mentoring him since then. But all of a sudden, now
you guys are friends. Of course you are. I I
learned this early on just In Radio. Somebody told me.
They said, hey, listen, don't burn bridges if you don't
need to burn bridges, because you never know who you're
gonna end up working for. Because somebody that you dismiss
or your disrespectful to you could end up being your
boss one day. You're never quite sure. And so now
(32:59):
Brett Farve finds himself and that's sort of a spot
to where Aaron Rodgers is the guy. So do you
think Brett farb is trying to play his way into
a potential role with the Packers Ront office? Listen? Due,
I think so? Yeah? I mean Eric Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers
fight with everybody. The gross free lady the parking attendant,
(33:20):
you know what I mean. Like Aaron Rodgers, that's how
he rubbs people wrong. And it's not me making this up.
I don't know Aaron Rodgers. I'm just reading and listening
to what's going on for the past I'm teen years
that he's been uh in the in the limelight. So
maybe he rubbed Brett wrong throughout the years, and maybe
Brett saw something in him from very beginning because he
(33:40):
has that kind of like that. I'm not saying it's
the same. I'm not saying Aaron Rodgers the same as
Josh Allen. But that kid, Josh Allen from Arizona, he
rubs people. Josh Rosen, I'm sorry, Josh Roses. He rubs
people wrong. J Cutler rubs people wrongs right. And it
won't stop. You continuously keep doing those things and what
we talk about until you hit rock bottom. You don't
have to change your way. You can say who you are.
(34:01):
And Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay loves you so much for
the next six years and begin two million dollars from
those fans. Cool, So, Brett, now you gotta see your stuff.
I love Green Bay so much. I got not bowed down,
but I gotta like make friends with the so called enemy.
You didn't though the enemy's personality is something I don't like.
And it is interesting because I've always thought this about
(34:23):
I love Jay Cutler just because everybody hates him. People
hate him, and I asked people sometimes, so what why
do you hate him? What did he do? But I
don't like they don't really have a reason. But you
just hear stories about him being a little uncomfortable around players,
and I think. I think he's a lot like Aaron Rodgers,
and I think that he's not the friendliest guy in
the world, but I think he keeps a close knit
(34:45):
group of friends and they love him to death, and
then he sort of stand office with everybody else. And
Rogers is the same way. But that doesn't make them
bad guys. It doesn't mean they're bad. He's a great guy,
but he just wasn't while he played. He was just
something but you didn't want to be a real But
I loved him. I literally loved always would even when
I played. I couldn't wait to go watch the Leakers
(35:06):
and watch Colby his footwork, his competitive nature of the
whole thing. But he just didn't have friends and that's okay,
not to helts, all right, but Aaron stop hiding behind it.

game time on the Doug Gottlieb Show, and we welcome
in Steve to Seger, our national update anchor here at
Fox Sports Radio, Steve, what are we gonna be playing today?
By the way, thank you? Oh hey, I didn't see
that coming. Apparently I am not. The band is non union,
by the way, so it took a little bit to
(37:32):
get him to play. But yeah, we're gonna play Psychic.
So I look, are under the payment are under the
table payments, Steve, are none of your business here on
Fox Sports Training. Always good to spreak to you and
your potty mouth co host. We're gonna play Psychic. I'm
so sorry. I get excited sometimes. It's good that you

(37:54):
you tell can tell them that that last segment for
Katino was like me in high school, dump three times?
What do we got? All right, we will get to
sports items, and you sirs, put on your psychic cats
and give me your predictions. So item number one, as
we're getting ready to start the NBA postseason, what will
(38:16):
be higher number of three pointers taken by Ben Simmons
in the playoffs or the number of playoffs series wins
by the seventies sixers as a team this postseason? Well,
don't copy off my sheet, get out of here. I
looked it up. Ben Simmons in his two year career
is oh for seventeen from three points? Can we get
these in scantron form from now on? I don't trust
(38:38):
a Tino over here. He looked at minus. I am
going to say, by the way, all credit to our
beloved producer right today are just Steve can can ask
you this? If Ben Simmons throws up a half court shot,
does that count if it goes in? The statue? Is one?
You bet? If this is everything, it's pointers taken by
(39:00):
Ben Simmons more than playoff series wins by Philly Yes, wow,
hold on, hold on, I'm gonna go. If you think
he'll take five three, then you should go with them
for obvious reasons. How many three point attempts does he
(39:22):
have in his career? Like over seventeen? You know what
I'm gonna go. You know, I trust the Sixers And
it's like, who do I like for the yes coming out?
I said the Sixers, Sixers, right, So I'm gonna go
six Ers series series wins? All right? Him too? What
will be higher for the Round one matchup? Draymond Green.
(39:42):
Technical fouls are a number of games won by the
Clippers against Golden State Day. What a crumby draw for
the Clippers. Man, what a great season. I wanted to
see them play anybody but Golden State. Man. That's so
let's if you're if you're gonna go to the that's
(40:05):
a terrible draw for them. Come on, what else, Steve?
I got an idea win some more games at the
end of the season. Okay, well, I don't think we
need to bully the Clipper franchise, Steve. But again, Steve
de Seger just continues with his negative and at least
three out of four in a bunch stuff west That's
what happens people. What will be higher Russell Westbrook rebounds.
This is in game one this weekend. Only Russell Westbrook
(40:28):
rebounds or James Harden free throw attempts. That's a good one.
You know what? Because um, okay, in the playoffs and
how okay see plays the Rockets and defends James Harden.
I'm gonna go with Russell's rebounds. I am too, because
also Harden doesn't get those same calls in the playoffs
(40:50):
that he does in the posts in the regular season.
We're on the same page. We get my sheet. Apparently
I did yea Sunday. Who wins the regular season m
v P James Harden or Joannice Attennant coom Okay, I
(41:12):
think Janice will win. But I I but I I
think that James Harden should win. James. How what James
Harden points per game this year? Two guys have done
that in the history of the league. Will Chamberlain and
Michael Jordan's How is he not the m v P
and seven assists? Yes? How is he not the m
(41:33):
v P. But I think it's gonna go to Janice.
I'm thinking James Harden just for the simple fact that
that Milwaukee's coaches did this with Atlanta making the best team,
you know, best record, blah blah blah blah. I'm going
with James Harden. Thirty six alright, good stuff, and we
got a couple of more will sprinkle into This is
game time on the Duck Got Leave Show. The Got

what was Radio against to Georgia this morning. Tiger Woods
is in the top twenties on his front nine still
and just about to finish his second round. Phil Nicholson
he's in the top ten. The co leaders Jason Day
Francesco Molinari each shot second round sixty seven's. They're each
(42:37):
seven under par, one stroke ahead of Dustin Johnson, who's
finished with a second round seventy, and Brooks Kepka, who's
one back. He has one hole to go. Phil Mickelson's
on its final hole of the day at Midas four
so three strokes back and Tiger Woods tied for fifteenth.
He's at minus three, four strokes back, but Woods is
only on the eighth hole so far. The Angels have
(42:57):
won six in a row, but they're down four one
bottom of this six at Windy Chicago and I mean
windy today at the Windy City. Our winds all the
runs coming on Homer's four of them. Detroit at Minnesota

the biggest disaster in all of sports. We will get
(43:19):
into it here coming up in just a couple of
moments moments. He is Katino Mobile. I am Jonas Knox.
This is Fox Sports Radio filling in for Doug Gottlieb.
You can always check out the show on the I
Heart Radio app And as always, Doug Gottlieb Show is
brought to you by Farmers. At Farmers, we've seen almost everything,
so we know how to cover almost anything. When it's
game time, have an experienced player to help you stay
(43:41):
ahead of the game, put their experience into play. At
Farmers dot com, we are so Katino Mobile. Let me
just ask you this. Were you a big fan of
the movie Titanic? Okay? Were you? Were you a big
fan of that movie? To Titanic? Now, when you think
(44:02):
about Titanic, do you think of it as a love story?
If somebody were to say, all right, Titanic, what is
it about? Would you would you call a love story?
Just to summarize it? Yeah, I would call a love story. Uh.
You know I have to really think about that one, right,
because there's there's more messages that are in that movie. Uh,
from Leonardo's perspective just as an individual, and then from
(44:27):
uh what was her name, Kate? From her perspective as
being more independent and not kind of like core still
or disorganized marriage kind of thing. Right, Yeah, And so
I want to get into that because there is there
is something to that that I think ties into a
(44:48):
to some a story in the n b A. But
speaking of which, we have a breaking news development and
let's go live to Steven Sager breaking it's from Fox Sports.
The Lakers have announced they have fired coach Luke Walton.
So the season just ended a few days ago. It
was thirty seven and forty five. Lakers had forty seven
(45:10):
losses last year and fifty six the year before. The
former Golden State assistant out as Lakers head coach. Wow,
So Luke Walton done in l A. He's going to
He's going He's going to sacrament. So that's so he
is going to Sacraments, I think. So. I think he's
going to say so he's trading in Magic Johnson from
Vladi Divatch. I mean, it's amazing how this how this
(45:31):
all works. So you're calling it right now? He is
going to sacraments, going to sack, he's going to his body.
He's going with those younger guys. What's the um what's
his name? Fox? Yeah, Dearren Fox. He's I mean, they're talented,
They're very talented, and they're young, and I think Luke
can get them on the right track. And they don't
have the baggage. Dearren Fox doesn't have the baggage that
(45:52):
came with some of the fair k not what you
want to say about Lonzo Ball that he did come
with baggage because his dad was always was always talking
um right. So Luke Walton, Steve D. Sager just reporting
is done fired by the l A Lakers. Like the
idea that they were going to keep Luke Walton after
Magic left didn't make any sense to me because if
they were going to keep Luke Walton, what you're saying
(46:13):
is we don't care what Lebron says. Luke Walton is
our guy. So I give him credit for that because
that's been the case. Then I think a potential Lebron
trade is on the table because they were clearly picking
Luke Walton over Lebron. Right or wrong. We'd heard that
Lebron James and Luke Walton didn't really co exist while
during the season, and so now Luke Walton is done.
(46:34):
And the reason I bring up Titanic some people look
at that as a love story. I look at it
as a guy who crashed his boat into a glacier
and everybody drowned. That's how the Lakers look because what
we all thought was a love story between Lebron and
l A turned into a guy crashing into a glacier
and everybody's in the water trying to figure out how
they're going to save their own lives. Now we know
Magic gone, Luke Walton gone. What's the next move in
(46:57):
l A because apparently Rob Polinka is there. Yeah, you
know what I'm not. I'm not really sold on Roblinker.
No dispects Rob, but he's never done this this job
before one and two is he was on the other
side of the fence, right, He was an agent at
one point in time. And his name doesn't He burned
some bridges. It doesn't give you butterflies when you're going right.
It's not not butterflies in the stomach when you're going around.
(47:18):
What Rob? You know? Now you you're you're on that
side where you have to pick free agents, and you
have to you have to talk to their agents. And
these guys have a relationship with Rob that we don't
know about, and it's not the best relationships. So should
I take my should I send my guy to you?
I don't know about that. I want you to suffer
a little bit. It could be that vindictive thing to
(47:40):
going to the Lakers, because like I said before before
the show started, there wasn't any big before Lebron James,
maybe Dwight Howard. There wasn't even big free agents to
come to the Lakers. Never forget about Greg Monroe chose
Milwaukee over l A. I mean Greg, I mean Greig
Monroe chose the place that Jeffrey Dahmer used to live
(48:01):
over palm trees and beaches. I'm telling you, like like
a lot of guys passed. LaMarcus Aldridge laughed at their presentation.
Dwight Howard laughed at their presentation. Paul George wouldn't even
have to have an interview with the Lakers. That's one
Kobe and is like, listen, we don't have to. While
we smoothe you, you smoothe us, tell us why you
want to be here, because we're the Lakers, and that
(48:23):
don't fly. That's an antiquated thought. There there are more
options out there, especially what a big business the NBA
has become. I think guys can go anywhere and make money,
and I think guys like Paul George, I think they
do look at it and go, all right, well, how
much further can my dollar go in Oklahoma City? Then
it can go in l A. We live in l
a place a rip off. I just got gas before
(48:43):
the show. It was like ninety dollars to fill up
my tank. There's a lot to l A that people
don't like, and the arrogance that came from Laker fans
and all that. I think they've seen this six years
in a row. They're one of the laughing stocks of sports,
and I think fans are looking around on all right,
what are we doing here? You can make money anywhere? Right?
(49:05):
And how many Lakers have played for the Lakers since
Magic Johnson? A lot of this and it's only two
of them when it comes to business savvy is Kobe
Bryant and Magic Johnson. So when magic pitch is not
saying magics doing it, but when you pitch that you
can be like magic and business. Well, there's a lot
of people that played for them that don't have business
agreements or the relationships like a Magic Johnson. That's not
(49:28):
how it works. I can make money like the Wayne
Waite and not be a Laker. I can make money
like Chris Paul or Carmelo Anthony or whoever it is
and not be a Laker. That is possible. Now, Yeah,
I mean Kevin Garnett exactly. Kevin Garnett played in Minnesota
and Boston. I think he's made If he's not made
more money than anybody, he's at least in the top
three to five layed Minnesota, Boston, and Brooklyn at the
(49:51):
end of his career when he was pretty much finished.
Those aren't you know? Sunshine and and and beaches and
and the Laker prestige. I I think they're is an
arrogance that has come with the Lakers organization, and they
got to check that at the door. And the longer
you keep bringing in retreads or people from the old
Laker era, the longer you're gonna keep bringing that same
(50:11):
attitude and same arrogance into the organization. And at some point,
I know nobody wants to do this because she's really nice.
But I've been saying this for a while. There's one
constant over the last six years, since the Lakers have
been uh firing gms or coaches or signing players, trading players,
drafting players. The one constant is Genie Buss. I mean,
(50:32):
when is anybody gonna say, hey, maybe she's not like
doing this right because she's the same person there and
it's the same disaster every single season, and the magic
hiding on the notes, right, Magic, Like you know what
I'm irving here. I want to go back to be
a magic everybody loves Genie. Go back to being Genie,
stay behind the scenes, let somebody else take all the
(50:52):
heavy hits, leave it alone kind of thing, because it's
it's harder than you think when you're the front right,
when you're the front face, it's very hard then, right,
like Doc Rivers tell you, like, yeah, I needed Lawrence
Frank and I needed uh Jerry West so I can
do me and Genie is amazing. I love Jennie, I
love Magic, but Magic, I don't want you to talk
(51:15):
show right that didn't do well. I don't want you
to be in a coach that didn't do well. Right,
certain things you're great at, and certain things you need
to back up. And so I always said when Magic
got hired, everybody was jumping for joy around here, and
I was. I remember saying at the time, why do
you just all of a sudden assume this is gonna
work because you know his name? Like that? Look, I
got a great mechanic. I don't want to making me
(51:36):
a steak, no offense, But like, you're good at something
and you're just not maybe not good at others. I mean,
like I I do radio. Don't ask me to make
you something on the stove. I don't know how to cook.
It's not my thing, especially when you just got finished
messing with the engine in your hands. Yeah, yeah, you know,
and you and those and by the way, you love
how every mechanic uses the same rag to wipe his hand.
(51:57):
Come on, at least like change a while. Come on, man, uh,
you don't don't touch my avocado if you've had your
hand on the carburetor for two hours? Yeah yeah, what
do you? Salt bay? And there's Pen's oil dripping off
his elbow. Now, I just so I look at this,
at this situation with the Lakers, and I'm just not
(52:18):
surprised that it didn't work because you hired people that
didn't have a lot of experience. Let me ask you this,
if Magic wasn't a former Laker, if Luke Walton wasn't
a former Laker, would they have been hired by the Lakers? No? No, no,
no way, no way? No how is that Rob Parker?
No way, no how? With a lot of a lot
(52:39):
of spit on the bottom. I love, but it just
I hear I see this situation, and I go, look,
Luke Walton got hired. They never even interviewed anybody else.
They picked him and said, no, no, that's our guy stuff, right, Yeah,
all emotional friendships. Yeah. And so the second you you
(53:01):
steer away from that sort of an operation that you're running,
I think it's with the second that you start to
turn this thing around in the right direction, because it
is not worked. They've tried it over and over and
over again. And now in the span of four days,
the president that she hired and the head coach are
both out of a job after you signed the greatest
(53:22):
player in the world. What does that tell you? It
didn't work and it wasn't going to work. Could you
imagine how they not signed Lebron, then what are we
talking about? Yeah, so I just and now Adrian ward
Zarowski is saying, you know, tylu is a strong front
runner for the Lakers coaching job, but again it's a
former Laker, um like, you gotta you. I think you've
(53:44):
gotta step outside of yourself and really take a chance sometimes.
And I'll give Danny ainge credit for this. When they
hired Brad Stevens, nobody was rumored to think Brad Stevens
was getting the job with the Celtics, but had a usion.
It wasn't like I need you to win right now.
It was like kind of not saying Danny ags like
protected himself, but it was kind of like, you know what,
(54:06):
I'm gonna get this college coach. You know, if it works, amazing,
I look amazing. If it don't work, it's still okay
because we're rebuilding. Blah blah blahlah blah kind of thing.
And also the part that stood out to me when
he signed, when he assigned Brad Stevens and hired him
his head coach, they give him a six year deal.
They basically said, hey, relax, we know this is gonna
take time and we'll figure it out together the Lakers.
(54:29):
Just one home run after home run after home run.
Give us a boiled child. I gave you a Lamborghini
at sixteen? Yes, what are you going to get from there?
What are you doing? You see these bar mitzvas and
these three sixteens, aren't they What are you doing? Yeah,
there's no other big party you can have. Yeah, it's
the best. Yeah, it's I just think that this is
this will be interesting to see what direction they go. Um,
(54:52):
gut feeling. Who's another candidate? Maybe we're not thinking about
as a head coach for the Lakers. Somebody you look
at and go that that would be a mo that
I could get behind. You know, you know what's funny?
It's um, I I love Tyler. I like Mark Jackson
a lot. I think he got to show it into
the stick, right, I truly think Mark Jackson got to
(55:12):
show the into the stick. That's a weird one. Something's
up there. Wh I have no clue why he hasn't
been hired again, I have no clue. And then you
know what, um um juwan Howard love Jowan, but you
haven't been a head coach yet? Right, Like, I don't
even know how what kind of play calling, or if
you're the specialist in defense in Miami, or I don't know,
(55:35):
I haven't been that close to Miami to even know
exactly what your your your expertise is when it comes
to things. But again, you have only your short window
of of lebron greatness. You better get this right this
time and right now, Tyler, I think is the best
fit for you. And I think, uh, you know, um
(55:56):
what you call David Griff, Dave Dave Graff, I think
for for run right now? Absolutely all right, Katino Mobile

I'm Jonas Knox in for Doug Gottlieb here on Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up in ten minutes from now here
on fs ARE, we're going to tell you our favorite
(57:00):
stories of the past six months in the world of
sports in one particular department. All right, So that'll be
coming up in about ten minutes from now here on
Fox Sports Radio. But right now we welcome in Rick Buker.
You see his stuff on the Bleacher Report. You can
listen to his podcast, Buker and Friends. Always kind enough
to spend a few minutes with us here on Fox
Sports Radio. Rick, Jonas Knox Coatino Mobile. Thanks so much, gentlemen.
(57:24):
Good to be with you. What's up, buddy, Welcome to
the family. Looking real handsome one at TV. I saw
you this week. Thank you. You know, lighting and makeup
will do a lot of things for you. I'm big
on that. By the way, I aged you didn't. By
the way, Rick blows into town and now Luke Walton
is out of a job with the Lakers. Unbelievable, Rick,
(57:46):
what kind of strings did you pull to make that happen? Yeah,
let's not connect those thoughts. I do believe that he
will be headed back my way, not to join the
Golden State Warriors, but I expect that the next step
is going to it is that he's going to be
joining the Sacramento Kings, and that that was part of
(58:07):
what the Lakers, knowing that they were going to go
in a different direction, that they were doing him a solid.
And that's why by mutual agreement they're they're parting ways
because he gets to go to a team that actually,
in many ways was the team and the job that
he was originally hired to do with the Lakers, And
(58:27):
once Lebron James came to town, the dynamics changed dramatically
and they started looking for somebody different. And so I
think this is if any parting can be good for
both parties, I would say that this is it. Rick.
How much input is Lebron James going to have in
the next head coach higher well, uh, Jonas, I have
(58:50):
to expect that this is one of the reasons why
they're doing it. If it was up to Genie, all
things being equal. I don't know that we would have
ever gone down this vote, but I and I do
believe that question would be best posed to uh Kobe Bryant.
Uh not Rob po link Up, but Kobe Bryant because
(59:11):
I think ultimately he's the one who has Genie's ear,
and what Rob is doing is being informed by what
Kobe thinks that the that the franchise needs to do.
I am sure because Kobe has been in that position
that Kobe will take the council of Lebron James. He
(59:31):
will find out where he wants to go, but it
also has to go through the prism of who who
Genie is comfortable with. I don't know that that they're
suddenly going to open up the viewfinder and they're gonna
take anyway and take anyone, and just from everything that
I've heard before and since, unless Kobe is trying up
the template and they're moving in an entirely different direction,
(59:54):
I would expect that, assuming Tyl's health is good, that
he's going to be the next coach of the Lakers.
He is Rick Buker from Bleacher Report joining us here
on Fox Sports Radio, Katino mobile Jonas knocks in for
Doug Gottlieb here on fs are Um. So we've heard
some of the names that were out there. I know
Katino brought up Juwan Howard as a potential. Ty Lou
(01:00:16):
is also out there. Is there somebody maybe we're not
thinking about, or somebody on the outside of those two
that could potentially be a head coach hire for the Lakers.
I have not If there is one, I have not
heard it. And again it's a combination. This is what
makes this whole, this whole thing challenging with the Lakers
is that you have the Lakers prerequisites in terms of
(01:00:39):
who you're gonna hire, and then you have Lebron's prerequisites
and then and Tylu fits both categories, and that the
Lakers are familiar with him. That's where he started his
career as a player, and Lebron obviously knows him well,
having won a championship with him in Cleveland. So for me,
I just I don't understand and I would not understand
(01:01:02):
the Juwan Howard higher. I know people respect his and
I respect his work ethic as an assistant coach. He's
put in, he's put in time. We've seen it. David Fizdale,
another Heat assistant you rise to the head coaching ranks
and and do well. But for where the Lakers want
to go right now, I just can't imagine hiring a
(01:01:26):
first time head coach considering the timeline they're under to
try to play for a championship before Lebron gets too old. Rick,
this is Katino. Let me actually a quick question. What
do you think? Well, actually your opinion? What do you
think about and what happened? Why does Jonas and are
kind of clueless about this? Well? I know, I am
(01:01:48):
what happened with Mark Jackson. Why wouldn't Mark Jackson b
Why wouldn't he have a Yeah, he did so well
up in Golden State. Right, he's a great guy. Right,
he's a player's coach. I'm trying to understand what what's
that story? A big I believe a big part of
that is the innuendo around his relationship with ownership and
(01:02:14):
ownership and management. And there's been a lot of backbiting,
you know, behind the scenes. There's been a really negative
uh image provided of Mark. Now, I don't buy into it.
I was here firsthand. I was a sideline reporter for
(01:02:35):
the Warriors the two years that he was here. I
saw the transformation. I saw how they changed, how he
changed them, and he he led the way. Some veterans
like Jared jack We're right there with him. But ultimately
he was the one who came in with the mantra,
we're not going to be the same old Warriors. He
instituted a defensive philosophy that had not been here for
(01:02:57):
the longest time. He gave them a confidence. He uh
got them to understand the work ethic and the continuity
that that they had to have. Mark Jackson, without question
put the building blocks of what you see with the
Golden State Warriors. He put them in place. So I'm
(01:03:18):
not one of those who has a negative view of him.
But this is why everybody is really careful about uh.
You know, they get done dirty by a GM, or
they get done dirty by an owner. If you speak
out on that, if you let people know that, every
other owner, every other GM goes well, what are the
(01:03:39):
chances that if our relationship goes sideway, he's going to
do the same thing to me? And so that, to
me is the only explanation I have is why Mark
Jackson hasn't even gotten sniffed since he left the Warriors.
He is Rick Bucker from the Bleacher Report with us
here on Fox Sports Radio covers the NBA has been
doing it a long time and always kind enough to
spend a few minutes with us here on Fox Sports Radio,
(01:04:00):
Jonas KOs, Katino, Mobley uh filling in for Doug Gottlieb here,
what is it from people you've talked to around the NBA? Rick,
Because we're in l A, so obviously everybody out here,
I mean, it's fanboy central for the Lakers. I mean,
you can't get it. Nobody wants to be critical sometimes.
But from people you talk to outside of l A
from a national perspective, what is what is Lebron's reputation?
(01:04:22):
What's the reputation of the Lakers as an organization right
now around the league? Jonas, It's not It's not good.
I don't think wow. And what is perhaps what's most
interesting is that they've both taken a hit this year
(01:04:42):
in it and we see this all the time with
great players, particularly when it comes to Lebron. Lebron has
always been a high maintenance player in terms of you
need to cater to him, the guys around him, you
need to take care of them. There's a lot of
demands that are made people happily, uh well or maybe grudgingly,
(01:05:07):
but they fulfilled those demands. They were willing to answer
those demands because Lebron could get them the thing that
they all desired, which is playing for a championship and
potentially winning one, and obviously a box office draw the
face of the league. They were willing to put up
with all of that. That has changed, and this season
(01:05:28):
has had as big an impact as anything, And talking
to people around the league and talking to teams and
owners about would you make a deal for Lebron James.
It sounds almost unheard of that you would even think
of trading him, but the idea that you would have
an opportunity to make a trade for him and not
be interested. And yet there were teams, uh more teams
(01:05:51):
than not either said not that it wouldn't be a
good fit for us right now, or yeah, but you know,
I'd only give up so much much in order to
get him. That's that's how far he has fallen off
just because of this season. Now obviously all of that,
I don't know if that actually can't turn around just
because of his age at this point. Um and then
(01:06:15):
the Lakers, I mean, they've been viewed as on shaky
ground for for some time now, and while people are
looking at what's happening right now as a referendum on
this is just how bad it is. I believe they
are finally finding their way. If Genie, if Kobe has
(01:06:38):
Genie's ear, they're uh pledging allegiance along with Rob Polinka.
They're making clear, concisive moves right now. I feel as
if maybe finally they're finding some they're they're they're finding
a foundation, they're finding a place to work off of
(01:07:00):
that's a little more solid than it's been now. Obviously,
this is going to be a huge summer in terms
of determining that. But when they came in and I
looked Magic was my favorite player as a kid, and
his personality, his I'm just the joy with which he played. Uh.
(01:07:23):
I like him, but I never ever ever thought that
he was It was a little bit like Shack be coming,
you know, joining the Sacramento King that he was going
to be involved in them, and I was like, that's
not happening. These guys have too many other interests and
the grind of the job is simply not something that
(01:07:43):
they're cut out for. At this stage, and so I
never expected that to happen. Now now at least that
has been recognized. And I don't think it was by
accident that that that magic left, and I don't think
it was I don't think Jennie was disappointed. I think
actually was something that she she realized needed to have happened.
So they're they're clearing the deck now, and they're they're
(01:08:07):
looking at we have Lebron James. We have this asset.
How do we make the most of it over the
next couple of years that he has left. At least
now I see a path to them making the most
out of what they've got. He is Rick Buker. He
covers the NBA for Bleacher Report. You can check out

in one particular area, all right, So that's coming up
next year on Fox Sports Radio for all the latest, though,
it's Steve de Seger three way tie for the lead
at the Masters in the second round. But we'll lead
with the Lakers as coach Luke Walton and the team

a candidate for the Sacramento opening. Now, and you mentioned

(01:11:43):
of the great teams of our generation. So you will
hear that twelve minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
But we were thinking about this, since the NBA season
is over with, we've got the playoffs starting up on Saturday,
We're trying to come up with what are the best headline,
like the best non basket ball drama stories from the
NBA season, Because Katino, since you were playing in the
(01:12:05):
league basketball like like non basketball, my daughter she scored
it first goal. Okay, well, okay, well you put that
right to the top of the list, right to the
top of the list. But since you have have stopped
playing in the n b A, I think you can agree.
Social media and some of the drama that comes out
of the NBA it's almost too much. It's almost too much.
(01:12:26):
So we were thinking, what are the top ones, the
top drama stories of the past season in the n
b A uh, And we will get to that here
coming up momentarily, But we go back to Steve de
Sager for some more breaking news to the NBA, and
we just talked about Danny Ferry stepping aside and not
taking the Pelicans GM job. Wo GESPN reporting David Griffin
(01:12:50):
is finalizing a deal to become the next president of
basketball operations with the New Orleans Pelicans. David Griffin maybe
from Arizona, and yes he's been with the phene Sons,
but Cleveland as well, and now to the New Orleans Pelicans. Guys.
So David Griffin is taking over for the New Orleans Pelicans.
(01:13:10):
Yeah there, that's all right. That's a great thing about radio.
They just won't delete that from the podcast and never
have any worry about it. Never have I do it
all the time. Um. Wow. So David Griffin's taken over
in New Orleans. Man, Like we were saying earlier, everyone
assumes the Lakers are this gotta have a job and nobody.
I don't think people want to deal with the crap.
I don't think they trust how the organization is run.
(01:13:34):
David Griffin could have gone to l a taken over
the Lakers, could have could have been a calming influence there.
And either the Lakers didn't want another Lebron guy in
the building or David Griffin just said I'd rather go
to New Orleans where I can try and build it
the right way. Either that or it's some sort of
elaborate plan uh, to get somebody in New Orleans who
you know will trade Anthony Davis l A. You know,
(01:13:57):
it's it's it's it's a weird thing, right. Blakers has
had so much success in the last twenty years, twenty
five years, that you kind of anything that happens on
a bad team or bad relationship is magnified. If it's
on a really good team or great relationship. Even the
bad things we don't care about because you you're you're
(01:14:20):
more focused on the success. I think it's just coming
out now, how dysfunctional. Maybe the Lakers were, right, how dysfunctional? Right,
maybe the Lakers were, but Kobe winning with Shack and
then Kobe winning with Palle and Lamar and blah blah
blah kind of erased all of it not in the
(01:14:41):
last six years. Right, Yeah, it's the same thing that
happened with the Packers, this whole Aaron Rodgers crap with
the Packers. When when the Seth Wicker Sham YESPN article
came out on the Patriots. I've always felt this way
that when stories come out about dysfunction, we on the outside.
You've being a player, you know this, and and I
and I asked Brady Quinn one time and I do
(01:15:03):
a show with Brady here on Fox Sports Trade. I said, hey,
what do we get the most wrong as media members
and his fans? And he says, the locker room. Because
some of the stories that aren't that big a story,
or some of the stuff that's really going on you
never hear about. But you are starting to hear about
it with the Lakers, and you are starting to hear
about it with the Packers, and so to your point,
it becomes magnified and everybody looks in and goes, oh
(01:15:24):
my god, this may have been going on for a
long always been here. You think about psychology, it's always
been here that they didn't just start the one just
you know, terrorizing, they plan it. Yeah, or it's it's
something that's been going on for so long, but you
can hide it. It's just what you You don't just become, uh,
the crazy girl when you just or the crazy guy
(01:15:44):
when you're in the twenties, you like, what are you
gonna do today? I don't know. I kind of feel
like being a pain in the ash. That's a good idea.
You've been a pain in the ash, like this is
what it is? Right? Yeah, So yeah, this is and
so to Steve Disager's breaking news, David Griffin is going
to be taking over in New Orleans. A lot of
people were trying to put two and two together and
assume he was going to be the guy in l A.
(01:16:06):
Which leaves the possibility that maybe that's something that you know,
Kobe Bryant maybe is the guy now in l A
as the president. So yeah, there's a lot of It'll
be an interesting offseason for the l A Lakers, and
it's only just starting, all right. Katino Mobile Jonas Knox

Coming up in just a couple of moments. It could
be the end of an era in the world of sports.
We will have that for you because somebody, a well
known sports personality thinks that it is an end of
an era coming up in just a couple of moments
here on Fox Sports Radio. So before we get to that,
(01:17:32):
and I'll let you know that we are brought to

It's wrapped with more than three ft of bacon, then

(01:17:53):
are We've got breaking news in the NBA. Two huge stories,
and they could be potential bad news for one organization.
So we'll get to that twelve minutes from now, right
now though here on the Dug gott Leap Show, it
is time for this and now. Skip Bayliss earlier on
Undisputed on Fox Sports One was discussing the start of
(01:18:17):
the NBA playoffs this season, and Skip talked about the
defending champs, the Golden State Warriors. Are you taking the
Warriors or the field? I am taking the plunge and
I am taking the field might be a field of dreams.
I don't know what field it will be. I feeling,
I've told you guys, both of you all year long.
(01:18:40):
I just have a feeling that Golden State is a
ticking time bomb. I just have a feeling that this
all time prohibitive favorite there. This is one of the
most prohibitive we've ever seen. I just feel like it's
about to reach its expiration date as a dynasty. All right.
So that was Skip Bayless earlier today on Fox Sports one,
(01:19:03):
Katino Mobile, you played in the NBA, you played in
the playoffs. You are better at basketball than nine point
five percent of human beings that have ever walked the
face of the earth. When you hear Skip Bayless say
it could be the end of the era with Golden State,
what do you make of that? I mean, he's not wrong,
It's just that he's kind of covering all his best right,
(01:19:24):
because it does he mean like this year or does
he mean when Kevin Durant leaves after this year and
cousin leaves as well, they could be the end of
the dynasty, right, So like he's covering his He's not.
He didn't give you like a direct answer. It's kind
of open ended, right because he could say when they win, Well,
you know what, I didn't mean this year. It could
when they leave now and then the nextra little bit
(01:19:46):
of an out a little bit of out right little
bit because he's he's right, but then he's not right. Also,
I'll say this though, if Golden State, look, they can't
win forever and what they've done is incredible. Um, if
they lose Kevin Durant, you could do a lot worse
around the NBA than Steph Curry, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green
and whatever. Like that's gonna open up the potential for
(01:20:07):
somebody else. To go in there. So if Kevin Durant
does decide to leave, I think the bigger unknown is
where Kevin Durant ends up than it is Golden State,
who had a ton of success before Kevin Durant got there.
And I think that maybe Steph Curry and Clay Thompson
a lot of those guys have maybe taken a step
back during this time and we've almost forgotten how great
(01:20:27):
they were before Kevin Durant got there. Yeah, that's a
great point. If you lose Kevin Durant, you're still the one.
And now you think about it like this, you have Clay,
Steph Draymond, Iguodala, Sean Livingston, Um Boguts came back, which
(01:20:48):
is great, right add on for playoffs, that core right there,
you can add anybody. Those guys know how to play
with each other. I mean, the oldest out of that
core right there would be Sean Livingston, who's who is
flitting with retirement and uh at this point, right, so
you can you can those guys. You can't replace those
(01:21:09):
guys because one is their high i q s and
they're kind of like point forward, point guard and point
forwards where they're all point guards right, and they don't
have to have the ball. They like to ditch the ball,
and they play defense. That's hard to replace. You can
replace the Kevin Durant. You can get somebody else in
here that can understand how to play the game because
they want seven three Before him, they actually knocked him
(01:21:29):
out right. So I'm not really worried about Kevin Durant leaving,
But I am worried about if Klay Thompson just so
happened to like bump his head and say, you know what,
I don't want to be in Golden State no more.
I'm gonna go to the Lakers Lebron James. So who's
a bigger if if both things being you, who's a
bigger loss, Kevin Durant or Clay Thompson if you were
I think Clay Thompson. Yeah, And you know what the
(01:21:50):
world out there like, are you crazy? You have no clue?
Kevin Durant holds the ball more. Not saying it's a
bad thing, but it's just the way their offense set up.
It's moving the ball a lot. Yeah, and and and
that's why I just and also you know what they've
shown that that's a fun place to go play and
they're opening up a new building. It's we we talk about.
(01:22:12):
You know, can the Lakers land free agents? You know,
I don't think it would have a problem landing free agents.
The Golden State Warriors, you saw a ton of guys,
a ton of a ton of veterans towards the end
of their career, like David West going man, I'd rather
take less money to go try and chase the championship.
You're gonna have guys like that, but you're also gonna
have guys who want to go play in a place
to where it's fun. It's a brand new environment. They're
(01:22:35):
used to winning. You've got a coach who's a player's
coach about this superstar is super super stelfless. Yeah, Stephen
Curry is super selfless. And Clay Thompson doesn't like he
just doesn't. It seems like he's just okay playing in
Golden State and being the second fiddled. Steph Curry isn't minded.
He's not delusion from from what I know, he's not
(01:22:56):
delusional one right, because he's playing against the best shooter
to ever shoot touch the ball, right, And do you
have Draymond Green that cleans up every single thing you
guys do, right, Yeah, Eaguo Dollar lives the net makes
you guys, Star Clay and Steph because it can be
hard if you don't have those three Draymond, um Sean
(01:23:16):
and Yeah. And there's also the aspect of if Kevin
Durant leaves, nobody wants to be the one who's, you know,
showing the wear and tear of the breakup. So you
don't think Golden State's gonna be motivated to show, hey,
we can move without this guy. We've done it before,
so I think that'll be at UPO. He is Katino Mobile.
I'm Jonas Knox. This is Fox Sports Radio. We are
(01:23:37):
going to in about I would say we'll call it
seven minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio. Bad news, okay,
bad news for one organization in the world of sports.
Somebody they thought they had is now gone. He has
chosen somewhere else over them. We'll have the latest here
on Fox Sports Radio coming up next, and you can
(01:23:58):
also check out the show on the i Heart Radio app.

(01:24:20):
We'll tell you what they were coming up here in
just a couple of moments. He is Katino Mobile. I
am Jonas Knox. This is Fox Sports Radio. We are
in for Doug Gottlieb. You can always listen to the
show on the I Heart Radio app and wherever you
are taking part in the program, we appreciate a few
minutes of your time. And as always, a Doug Gottlieb
Show is brought to you by Farmers. At Farmers, we've
(01:24:40):
seen almost everything, so we know how to cover almost anything.
When it's game time, have an experienced player to help
you stay ahead of the game. Put their experience into play.
At Farmers dot com. We are Farmers, all right. The
breaking news story out of the NBA, there are two
of them, both involving the Lakers, is Luke Walton, like
(01:25:02):
I guess, mutually agreed to part ways with the l
A Lakers, so they are in the search of a
new coach. David Griffin, former CALVS GM is now taking
over in New Orleans, so he will not be a
member of the l A Lakers. What do you make Patino,
of the Big Lakers stories that have taken place so
far during the show. I mean, that's this, and it's
it's a little I didn't see that come in as
(01:25:23):
far as uh I saw Luke wall In um leaving. Yeah,
and it's it's like a relationship breakup, right, And I'm
saying it's jokingly, but it's kind of real right where
it's like it was a mutual breakup, right, you know
why right Luke, No, he's going to get a job
(01:25:44):
with Sacramento. He's cool. Yeah, that girl knows he's gonna
get speaking personal experience. A lot easier to break up
with somebody when you go he got somebody else, you know,
that's that's potentially out there. Yeah, it's a little bit easier.
There's no disgrunting episode. Luke Walton is done. Now there's
we are seeing rumors of who could potentially be there. Um,
(01:26:07):
we've talked about Ty Lou is a possibility. Uh, they've
talked about now Monty Williams. Somebody was out there. And
I know Monty Williams is a guy that a lot
of players respect around the league. He's a great guy. Man.
I love Monty, He's a great guy. He's I mean,
it's it's a lot of pressure coming to l a right,
And I think that's what the scary thing is for
(01:26:27):
a lot of people. Right, It's like, no big free
agent wants to come here. No, you know, the coaches
that came here didn't last long. Right, it's just the
the the mazzi, the not the cockiness, but the aura
that the Lakers possess. It's kind of hard for a
lot of people to you know, be a part of Right,
(01:26:48):
It's like, you have to live up to those standards.
And Kobe said that you you really have to live
up to these standards. And Kobe being here for twenty,
you know, twenty years, and then before that you had
Magic for the last thirty some years that the fans
has been super spoiled. That's not every organization, but understand
his fans. You had Pat Rally and Phil Jackson and
(01:27:11):
that's it, right for the majority of that success run.
And then you had Magic Johnson and Kareem and James Worthy,
and then you had Shaquille O'Neil, Kobe Bryant, Paul Lamar,
David Derek Fisher. Like that's a lot of years, but
then you had those guys stand for a long period
of time, you got spoiled, spoiled, and I think it's
(01:27:33):
this is where it's going to be interesting because we
assume that it that. And that's why I've asked, you know,
Rick Buker. We talked to Chris Haynes, who appeared earlier
in the show, and I asked him, Hey, how much
input do you think Lebron's gonna have in the head
coach higher And everyone assumes that, oh, He's gonna have
a ton of input. I don't know, man, I I
don't know if he's if he's going to have the
(01:27:54):
amount of input that everybody thinks he is. There was
a story out there that he was blind. I did
buy the Magic Johnson decision um because normally he hears
about this stuff before it goes down. That's usually been
like what has happened with every other organization. But the
idea that the Lakers uh and Genie Buss, who was
frustrated with some of the things that came out of
(01:28:16):
Lebron's camp this year as all of a sudden okay,
with waving bye bye to a longtime friend, Magic Johnson,
Bye bye to a longtime friend Luke Walton. But Hi, Lebron,
what do you want to do with the team at
this stage of his career. I don't know that he's
gonna have the input that everybody thinks he is. I
don't know, you know, I don't. I don't buy that
Magic didn't say anything or even hint to Lebron that
(01:28:38):
he was stepping down. I just don't. I find that
hard to believe it, right, I just don't. You just
met with him on Saturday for dinner for hours, and
you didn't tell him. I didn't even tell Jeannie. Um
you know, I was with her yesterday, Like I don't.
Maybe not Genie, I don't know. But you didn't tell
Lebron on Saturday when you have together for three hours.
(01:28:59):
Come now, of course the brons an say we already
knew that. Of course he's not gonna say that. He
also said when David Black got fired, he also said,
um uh uh to David Bladu, well, I just found out,
like the rest of you guys, right, because that's how Yeah,
they just fire your head coach. You'd have nothing to
do with it, okay, man, Mike, But of course he's
got to play the game, and I get that. Everybody
(01:29:21):
does it. Quick story. Right when I was with Orlando
Magic and we were doing really well and our team
could have been a championship team. Do you think about this?
It was Steve Francis at the one, myself with the two,
Grand Hill at the three, UH Dwight Howard as a
rookie Cheese and uh Calvin Kato at the starting five.
You know what. The second five was Jamir Nelson, the
Shawan Stevenson, he to Turkolu, Tony Batti, Stacy Agen was
(01:29:45):
on the bench, former Temple our right exactly. So think
about this, right, you had all those guys and Johnny
Davis was our coach. Johnny Davis came to Steve and
I was saying, listen, we gotta get everybody now. I
mean we were like third in the East. Right the
year before you only won eight team one two thousand
and four. That's a damn good team. That's a really
(01:30:05):
good team. We bumped heads because he said it was
my contract year. He said I was topping the league
in threes. Okay, he said to the guys on the team, listen,
if you can ask her Hill this I organized from
dinners to making sure we did this that whatever. That
was my job. I did that in Houston. I did
that there, right, that was my leadership role. That's who
I was, even when I went to Sacramento, Chris Webber
(01:30:26):
and Mike Maybe I'll tell you, I'm not saying I
kept us all together, but that was just how I am.
I'm a family guy. That's just who I am. He
comes to me and Stephen, he says, uh, you know what,
We're gonna have to split time because you know, we
gotta get the rookies in what oh my my six
year You gotta wait for a little bit, let them learn,
and then we'll bring him in, you know, slowly, but
not right now. Coach, you can't be cutting me and
(01:30:48):
Steve minuts blah blah blah. So I asked for a trade.
I had to get out of there. We're third and
East didn't even make the playoffs. I go to Sacramento
when when people came to me and said, oh, you
got traded. I knew I got traded, becau I'm the
one who started it. Yes, Johnny's like, well, oh wow, surprise.
It wasn't a surprise to you, Johnny, and I love
you're a good guy. But it wasn't a surprise to
(01:31:09):
you because we spoke about this. This is what we
spoke about, you know what I mean? Like these guys
know it, but they try to cover the But when
it comes to these starting site, you don't want to
answer to these questions. Who's the biggest liar in the NBA?
I go straight to right there, I want to biggest
liar in the NBA. Actually, I don't want anything too personal.
Who's cheated on their wife the most in the NBA?
(01:31:36):
But no, and it is it is. It is part
of the game. So what what they're telling us and
what's really happening are two completely different stories. But how
much do you think Lebron is going to have a
say in the direction of the Lakers this offseason? Because okay,
(01:31:56):
so then David Griffin is gone. Okay, so he's gone,
He's in New Orleans. Um so now if if we're
just tying it together, okay, so Tyler, that that fits
the criteria because the Toronto, the Toronto, I can't even
say his Messiah Jeri, yeah, Massia, just call him or
(01:32:20):
Messiah yeah. Uh. And so you think those are the
two moves but is Toronto gonna let gonna let him walk?
Is Toronto gonna let him you know, after he's done
really good things in Toronto's done amazing things in Toronto.
The the other thing as well too. And this has
been floated out there that the big fish in the
free agent market that Genie bus really wants is Kawhi Leonard.
(01:32:44):
If Kauai Leonard not only leaves Toronto, but leaves Toronto,
goes to l a and chooses the Clippers over the Lakers,
how many times can you get hit in the groin
before you go? All? Right? I this is just enough.
This may be weird, right, but I'm looking at Hilt
like he's one of my top favorites. Okay, I love
(01:33:05):
the way the guy plays, But Kauai is not you know,
like Paul George can lead a team. Okay, Russell Westbrook
can lead a team. I don't think if I don't
have the pieces, he's not vocal enough. And I don't
think he First of all, it takes off all the time, right,
(01:33:25):
I mean the case like Donald Trump, he takes a mania.
It's ridiculous. For opening seatement he mentioned Obama and here
we are our three. You mentioned Donald Trump. I'm actually bowing.
I'm actually like my daughter Jersey. But I just don't
(01:33:45):
think he can lead a team. And if Lebron leaves
or anything happens, you're with that team and it's so
much pressure on you, and you're not even a vocal guy.
It he eats you up. I don't think that's the
team for him. I think he's better off with the Clippers,
would not can protect him around you know, solid talent. Yeah,
and I think Kevin Durant with Lebron and Kyrie Irving
(01:34:07):
should be in l A. That's just my opinion. And
now as far as the young players on the Lakers,
Alonzo ball. Look, we've never seen Alonzo ball without LaVar
ball and big ball er brand and all that stuff
around him. So maybe now that he's trying to get
away from that and distance himself, maybe he's a different player.
But health is an issue. Brandon Ingram, health is an issue.
(01:34:29):
I like Kyle Kuzma a lot, but if you're trying
to acquire a big time player in a trade like
an Anthony Davis. If I'm New Orleans, that deal isn't
happening unless I get Kuzma. So what the hell is
the future in l A. I think it is so
up in the air right now. They can talk all
they want about, well we got Lebron James, there's one
thing out of the way. Okay, Well, clearly that wasn't
enough because you improved by two games over a year ago.
(01:34:52):
Well he got injured, Yeah, but injuries are a part
of the game. Everybody deals with injuries at some point
or another. Lebron just happened to deal with it his
first year in l A. So what is the future
of the Lakers? What do we got? Again? Like I
said before, I like I don't trust Kevin Durant's words,
more so his actions and his actions in the past
six seven years when he says red is really blue,
(01:35:13):
when he says right is really black? Right, and he
says right, it's really left right. And it's no discredit
to Kevin Durant, but I just he wants to keep
people off his back or say what makes sense at
the moment, But what truly behind closed door with Kevin Durant, THU,
I think he's good. I think I would prefer him
with Lebron and Kyrie with Lebron with the Lakers, and
I like Anthony Davis with because I love this man
(01:35:36):
so much and he's like one of my favorite human
beings in the world. What get Gregg Popovich right? Like
I see Anthony the air because they have a great
core and uh, the kid white at the point you
have the other kid coming back you you he's Greg
is an amazing coach, you know, and he can take
over that kind of like that. Tim Duncan is kind
(01:35:56):
of because it's like Anthony Davis. He does so much
for the Pelicans and he still don't win. Yeah, he
having like twenty boards, fifteen blocks and they still like
win by one or lose by one. It's kind of empty.
This what's the weirdest thing? You kind of you gotta
forget about it. And also I think that Anthony Davis
sort of took on a villain persona and he's not
(01:36:19):
really good at it. Certain people are good at it.
Garnett was good at it. Garnett, you mean he was.
He's always been like that from day one. Anthony come
to my beach parties and cuss people out there was
like really skateboarding the beach. I'm like, Kevi, they can
do that as public beach, I know. What you're doing.
But what's he drink? What's his what's his go to? Kevin?
Kevin that I love that guy so much. Oh my god.
(01:36:39):
We had so much fun in my backyard and like
a Corona guys, he like he's just he just like
sits and he chills. He smokes a cigar with me.
We played cards and like, if you come withinside the
gate of my house, he should. He's your guy. If
you if you don't know you, oh, he's cussing you out.
You forget about like a guard dog. It's exactly. They're good. Good.
(01:37:01):
That's a good move. You need one of us. All right.
He has Katino Mobile. I'm Jonas Knox in for Doug
Gottlieb here on Fox Sports Radio. You can check out
the show on the I Heart Radio app Coming up

Fox Sports Radio. He's Katino Mobile. I'm Jonas Knox. This
is Fox Sports Radio filling in for Doug. I leave
here on FS are coming up in less than ten
(01:38:02):
minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio, we will
give you our top drama stories of the past six months. Alright,
some really really juicy stuff, including one of the coolest
and most arrogant moments that I've seen in a long
time by a professional athlete. So that'll be coming up
in about ten minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
(01:38:23):
Right now, Ryan Burr is with us. He is a
Golf Channel analyst joining us here on Fox Sports Radio. Ryan,
thanks so much for the time. We appreciate it. You
gotta guys, what's up? All right? So tell me big
any surprises though so far at the Masters? What jumps
out to you right away? This is the biggest sporting
event and golf. We love it every single year, But
(01:38:43):
is anything different this year than than years prior. Well,
first starters, World number one, Justin Rose is gonna miss
the cut. So you asked first for surprises. Let's get
that out of the way. That's a surprise for sure.
He's the number one fire in the world. Uh, let's
move away from that and look at at the board.
It has a chance to be, uh, one of the
(01:39:04):
greatest of all time. I mean, Tiger is playing great.
Just hit it tight on thirteen. The top of the leaderboard,
you have Dustin Johnson, you have Brooks Kepta where a
micro was got at underpart Jordan's speechs got at underpart
john Ron, Rickey, Fowler, You go on and on, and
of course everything kind of revolves around house, Tiger Woods playing,
and Tiger is gonna have a chance in the next
(01:39:26):
hour and a half. We've just been called off the
course with some electricity in the air. But when they
come back out, Tiger's gonna have a chance to get
within two or three of the lead, maybe one of
the lead if you can make eagle on thirteen or fifteen,
and uh, you know, that's that's what the golf world
in the sports world, guys wants to see. They want
to see Tiger Woods contend. He and Phil Nicholson currently
(01:39:48):
both four under tied for tenth place, but three out
of the lead. Phil has done for the day. Tigers
still some very scorable holes. So the Woods story, h
I predicted he would be inside the top ten going
into Sunday. My prediction right now is looking good. Ryan
Burr with us here on Fox Sports Radio. So, when
(01:40:09):
you guys are called off for a weather delay and
they're waiting for that stuff to clear up, how do
the players stay loose? Um? Are are they hitting shots?
Is there an area they can do it? What are
you guys doing in between the time that you're on
the course and back on the course during a delay
like this? Right? Well, no, and no. First of all,
when there's electricity in the air, it's not like a
(01:40:30):
baseball game where you go down in the tunnel and
have a pitching Uh. There's a clubhouse that has a
bar and a restaurant. Of course, we are at AUGUSTU.
Guys are gonna go in and they're gonna eat. Uh,
they're gonna try to stay loose with uh. You know,
there's there's teams in there that you know, guys and
(01:40:52):
girls that that get will will stretch and uh you know,
maybe ah if you need to see someone from your
training staff, your physio, but for the most part, get
something to eat, try to stay loose, and then depending
on the amount of time of this delay, and it's
certainly well, it actually looks like it looks like everyone's
(01:41:12):
coming back out. So uh, if it's twenty minutes or more,
you're allowed to go back to the range and it's complete,
uh you know, complete rewarm up reset where you get
to go hit balls and do that whole thing. If
it's under twenty minutes and they say we're back on,
you've got to go back out to where you were
when you hit your last shot with no warm up,
and uh, it's gonna be real close to see where
(01:41:35):
we're at when the clock when they officially say you're
able to play, it's gonna be close either way. But
it looks right now if that there's a chance, there's
not gonna be any chance to warm up again, and
you're just gonna come back up and pick where you
left off. Ryan Burrows with us here on Fox Sports Radio.
You can see him on the Golf Channel. You can
also get him on Twitter at Ryan Burr, Jonas Dockscatino
(01:41:57):
Mobile and for Doug Gottliebire on Fox Sports Radio. The
Super Bowl changes places every single year. The World Series.
We never know where it's gonna be. Uh, Stanley Cup Final.
We never know where it's gonna be U NBA Finals.
Usually it's in Golden State, but you don't know who's
coming out of the East this year. The Masters, same
spot every single year. Augusta National. Why is it so special?
(01:42:20):
Every year at the same location. What is it about
Augusta National for people that haven't been there that when
you get there, you go, this is heaven. Yeah, it's
a religious experience. It is the single greatest piece of
land that that a place has been built in the world.
And the way that the players and the patrons and
(01:42:42):
everyone is treated when they get there, it's Uh, it's
a walkdown memory lane for sure, because you for a
hundred years have seen the shots and the holes. Uh.
The azaleas are all in bloom. Uh. They do a
great job of sandwich. Here is a dollar twenty five
a beer, two bucks. I mean they they turn back
(01:43:03):
time and and there are no cell phones. There's no
If you caught the cell phone, you not only are
you kicked out, but you're never allowed back. You know.
It is a yeah, it's you come in here and
everything else you just let it go away? Now, what
kind of beer we talking about? Like Keystone is like
Natty Light? Are these like quality beers for two bucks?
(01:43:24):
Or is this? I mean, what are we What are
you saying here? Yeah, it's whatever you need. That's awesome. Yeah,
I wish I like drink. That's all right, Well, I
wish I got an invite to Augusta National. It just
it looks so there's something about it to where certain
times of the year you know something is coming, and
there's something about the sunlight, the way that it's shot,
the way that it's presented on television is amazing. And
(01:43:47):
so when you get to go there and when you
get to take it all in, um, what do we
miss on television? Like what about it do we miss
after watching it on television? But getting to be there
in person that if anybody did get the opportunity, they
should want to be a part of. As good as
it looks on TV, it's it's a it's not close
to what it really looks like it's a different shade
(01:44:10):
of green that I've seen anywhere else. And of course
I've seen just about every golf course there is, and
it's a completely different shade than everywhere else you've ever been.
They somehow managed to every single day, every single flower
is in perfect bloom. I don't know if they switch
them out every night so the next day they're blooming again,
(01:44:30):
or how they do it, but they do it, and uh,
it's just it's it's a pretty remarkable spot. Yeah. I've
been to Tory Pines in La Joya, Oakmont in Pennsylvania
for the US Open a couple of years ago and
just was raving about how beautiful it was and how
great the setup was, and everybody said, yeah, it's not
like Augusta. So I'm terrible. I'm terrible this catino where
(01:44:56):
I need to get better because this guy's taking my
money and I us dope. Maybe that's why he asked
me to come out so it can take my money.
I don't know. I mean, listen, listen, you can Uh,
if you can shoot the three, then you can play golf.
You just need to practice more, man, But you have
that that obviously you have an innate ability to judge
(01:45:18):
distances and a hand I without I mean you should
probably looking at the whole. It's a lot like a
free throw that way, as opposed to looking at the ball.
You tell me that. Yes, the last one for Ryanburg
Golf Channel analyst kind of have to spend a few
minutes with us from Augusta National talking the masters here
(01:45:40):
on Fox Sports Radio. Um, we focus in and a
lot of people focusing on the big names, Tiger, Phil Rory, etcetera, etcetera.
Is there somebody on the outside looking in that you
think could make a big impact this weekend that we
should be paying attention to. Well, Charles, I'll tell you.
I'll tell you a couple of things. One, Brooks kept
is one three of the last six majors, So we
(01:46:02):
need to start paying attention to brooks Kept getting they
are going to come back out here with no warm up.
It's official. We're gonna be playing here in a couple
of minutes. Uh. But sure the big names are there,
but uh, you know, Francesco Molinari is a great ball striker.
He won the Open Championship in Scotland last summer. Uh,
(01:46:25):
Dustin Johnson, Brooks kept at John rom It's it's the
same cast of characters. The best players in the world
generally rise to the occasion here at Augusta National. When
I tell you is I look at this leaderboard right now.
Like I said, with Tiger and Phil and the young
guys that are in position here, we are in for
(01:46:45):
what might go down? Is uh? When when it's all
said and done, might go down? In is the best
sporting of end of the year. Yeah, it's gonna be
awesome to watch throughout the remainder of the weekend. He
is Ryan Burr Golf Channel, NBC Olympic Hows. You can
also see his stuff on Twitter at Ryan Burr Live
from Augusta National. Ryan, we appreciate it. Thanks so much
for a few minutes of your time. Alright, guys, have
(01:47:06):
a good one. All right. Jonas Knocks Katino mobile uh
here on Fox Sports Radio. Let me reiterate, Jonas Knox
Katino mobile here on Fox Sports Radio, filling in for
Doug gottlieb Um. All right, guys, we are brought to
you by True Car. In sports, a trade can make
or break your team. It's no different when it comes
to selling or trading in your Car. You need to
make good choices, and with True Car you've got a
(01:47:28):
star on your roster. So when you're ready to sell
or trade in your car, check out truecr True Cash
offer not available in all areas. Up next, we're going
to rank the greatest drama stories of the past six months,
including one of the moves, arrogant moves by an athlete
that we've seen in a long time. That's next year
on Fox Sports Radio. But for all the latest from
(01:47:49):
around the world of sports. Steve to Seger, you mentioned
the weather delay at Augusta. I haven't finished. He also
mentioned Charles. I'm trying to figure out what interview he
was doing. Berkeley's on everywhere. I guess maybe because I
(01:48:09):
think there if there were two of you see next
to each other, then you might be confused. Term Saturday
morning thunderstorms in the forecast for Augusta and definitely thunderstorms
on Sunday. So we'll see how things go. Weather was
but for now, we have not yet concluded the second
round of the Masters. There's a three way tied for
the lead, including a couple of guys who shot sixty
(01:48:29):
seven today, Jason Day and Francesco Mullinary Brooks kept after
a seventy one, also tied for first. Dustin Johnson's in
a group that's just one shot back after his second
round seventy. Adam Scott, still with four holes to go,
is also one stroke back. Matt Kucher is tied for
tent with Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. Now Michelson shot
a second round seventy three. Woods is only through eleven
(01:48:52):
holes flenty to go in his second round again currently
a weather delay at Augusta. The NBA Playoffs start tomorrow,
four games today, four on Sunday. The Lakers and coach
Luke Walton have parted ways mutually. According to the team
tylu and Monty Williams are reported lead candidates for the
l A job now, and Walton will be a candidate
for the Sacramento opening. David Griffin will run basketball operations
(01:49:14):
for New Orleans. Will you on the ESPN? Said? Danny
Ferry backed out for family reasons former NHL playoff games.
Tonight in Major League Baseball, Cubs ended the angel six
game winning streak five one Detroit at Minnesota. Tonight rained out.
We'll be back to the show in ten seconds. But
first a word from Farmers that Farmers insurance. We know
a roof can withstand a lot, one exception being an
(01:49:37):
airborne car. I've seen it, covered it. Dr Farmers, we
are Farmers under written my Farmers truck Fire Insurance Exchange
and affiliates, products unavailable and everything. Jonas and Cantino back
to you. Thanks. Steve Jonas knocks Katino mobile in for
Gottlieb here on Fox Sports Radio. Coming up in fifteen
minutes from now here on ups Are we will have
(01:49:58):
the press last call for hard hitting questions and topics
from Steve to Seger here on Fox Sports Radio. But
right now it is time to get to something. Well,
I'll just be honest with you. We tried to do
this earlier in the show, and then the Lakers fired
Luke Walton, so it kind of killed everything. And then
they David Griffin decided to go to New Orleans and
not go to l A and that kind of killed
(01:50:19):
So it is time to get to what we have
talked about the greatest drama stories in the NBA. Since
the regular season is over, the playoffs are coming up
this weekend. So Ryan Music are executive producer, you have
got what We've considered the top five non basketball drama
stories in the n B A uh this past season. Music,
(01:50:40):
What do we got? Thanks Charles with you guys, No problem, Robert.
Let's let's start with number five. Here, the fifth best
drama filled store in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls rebelling
against their coaching staff not wanting to practice this after
a fifty six point loss to the Celtics. That was great.
(01:51:04):
You magic, Tino. You played a long time at the FNBA.
You imagine tell one of your coaches, No, I don't
think I want to practice anymore. It's so funny because
that's what we just try to do. With Jeff van
Gundi for like four hours. We broke them, but then
they traded us the next year, so I don't really
think that counts, is you know? It's funny. Jim Barlan
(01:51:24):
was my coach Chicago Bulls coach that wanted that practice
the next day. He was my coach in Houston with
Rudy tom Janovic. Well, you guys, I mean with travel
and everything else, How often to players? How often do
you guys practice during the regular season, depending on your coach? Right,
Like Rick Adleman, did you know it was very light practice,
if any practice, because you want to preserve the body
(01:51:47):
for the game. But don you have like Jeff Van Gundian,
you know, Mike, Mike Dunlevy, Oh my gosh, eating veterans,
he's three hours. I mean it's the he's playing a
plan B, Plan C, Plan D plan ease like Microman.
To me, that just be It's like in in mixed
martial arts and in boxing they always say, don't leave
(01:52:07):
your best rounds in the gym, and and if your
training sessions are so brutal, like you can look at
and go yeah, but it makes a fight easier, you know,
not if you're bangedb not if you're tired. You're tired, man,
you gotta you need more energy? What what? What? What
did I say? Practice? Yeah, you're talking about practice. Yet
(01:52:28):
what else you got music? This is the storyline that
we saw stretched out over the course of the entire season.
Let's check in on Russell Westbrook versus the fans. Oh, man,
I wish he would have slapped the hell out of
that guy in you. I I think I think fans
get away with too much. And just because you paid
money for a ticket doesn't give you the right to
(01:52:50):
rip somebody to pieces like they do. Because you know
what if if a player walked into your and sat
outside your cubicle and harassed you while you were working
at your desk, you your mind mind for a fact.
You know, listen, I don't care if someone says, oh
you suck or you know what I mean, you can't
shoot free throws, whatever it is. But when you start
getting personal, that's when I don't cross the line. How
(01:53:13):
do you get about that? Even if you go to
go to like the last thing I'm thinking about when
I go to a game and I'm sitting there is
oh can I get this guy to flip me off?
Can I get the last thing? I just want to
sit there and watch really great athletes and great performers
do what they do. You don't do it at the circus.
So why do people feel like they have the right
at a comedy show or at a basketball game to
(01:53:35):
rip somebody who you know is better than you what
you're ripping them for? Get it? Make a that's yeah.
We see if you go listen, if I'm going to
a comedy show and you're trying to rip the guy
that's on stage by himself, what kind of person are you? Right,
it's already it's fear. I'm I'm gonna have fear if
I'm there telling jokes and I'm gonna standing into the
(01:53:56):
crowd hoping that you laugh. Now I'm on the basketball
with twenty thousand looking at me, and if I mess up,
all twenty see it. That's fear in itself. Like, and
we try to we work hard and play hard just
so those things don't happen, and then they go ahead
and happen without saying it on the air. All right,
let me go ahead and make sure we are clearance
(01:54:17):
without saying it on the air. What is the worst
thing you ever heard from a fan while playing? The
worst thing I ever heard from a fan when I
was playing. I was in Seattle. Uh well, one of
them was Utah. But then I was in Seattle and
it was doing the playoffs, and you know, the fans
were super excited or whatever, and we're playing Royal and
(01:54:38):
Rach Charlott Lewis and those guys, and they were a
really good team, and uh, we had a great game
against We battled, we battled against them, and the fate
My mom was there and she was sitting courside, and
the fans said something really disrespectful, and I went back
with disrespecting the league find me because it cut to
a commercial, and you know, doing a commercial, you hear this,
this this music we're listening to in our ear, we
(01:54:59):
hear that, and all you see is me slow motion
grabbing my crotch. Like, God, you didn't hear this? Guy?
Did you get my crotch? So you were Baker Mayfield
before Baker may Field. That's that's that's a man that
in the double barrel middle fingers I think is a
(01:55:20):
lost art A lot of people don't have to do
because people throughout their thumbs and like do like like
this stuff that you gotta close all your fingers except
for the you gotta bite the bottom when you put
your fingers. You got to bite the bottom of your Yeah,
that's a good move to you know what I mean
by the bottom of your Like, let's do it to Iowa, Sam,
our tech producer right here, Sam like that? Sam? Yeah,
it's like I want to touch you, but I can't
(01:55:41):
touch it. And Katino just grabbed his crotch again. Screw you, Sam?
About that? What else we got music? Alright? Number three,
another long standing storyline of the NBA season, Kyrie Irving
versus the media. Man, I like Kyrie Irving a lot.
I just want to play basketball, Yeah, I just I
(01:56:02):
don't know why you guys making us a big deal.
He is. I've never seen somebody takes so long to
figure out who they are. It's really weird. Man. Like, Look,
if you believe the earth is flat, there's enough videos
on YouTube that that you can make a reasonable argument that, Okay,
some of that makes sense. So like, I have a
buddy who's a flat earther. I don't personally believe it,
(01:56:24):
but he's thrown some theories at me, and I go,
all right, I could understand how you could believe it.
But then he just walks back on it, and then
he changes his mind, and then he's not having his teammate,
and he seems like he's all over the place. Man,
he's first of all, he's the kid, speaks well like
he's he's a smart Yeah, he's a smart guy, and
(01:56:44):
and and and and in the beginning I didn't think
he was. That's case sensitive? Is he is? He is?
Now right, he's so case sensitive. And then you try
to be so intellectually like you know, aware of so
many different things. But yet you have to understand when
you put yourself out there Uncle Dru, when you put
yourself out there commercial, when you put yourself out there superstar,
(01:57:07):
no matter what you want, is what the fans will do,
regardless of whatever it is they that's you're putting yourself
out there. Soon as you walk out the door, you don't.
You're not in control of anything. People can do whatever
they feel like doing. That's just what it is in life.
They can say whatever they feel like saying. So don't
do the commercials, don't do the movies, don't be a superstar.
And guess what, just sit in your house. People won't
(01:57:28):
do say anything about. We are talking about the top
drama stories in the NBA non basketball related of the
regular season. Ryan Music, what else? The second one here
is all of the drama plan out behind the scenes
but reported on the beef between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green.
Yeah that's uh you see see Kevin Okay, Draymond Green
(01:57:52):
is a world class ball breaker. That's just what he does,
right people. Yeah, he's time as those pupil and Kevin Durant,
he does not like to have his his was broken. Yeah,
and so why it took this long to manifest? I
don't know. You heard David West a year ago after
(01:58:14):
they won the title say, man, if only you guys
knew what this season was really like. I think a
lot of what we saw him out this season probably
took place last season, but it never been made it
to this first season that Kevin Durant. I remember my
my two sons, my godson Jamal Hoff we call him Bubby,
and my son Tino Jr. I remember the first season
(01:58:34):
which is three years ago, but Kevin Durant came to
um um um Golden State. Yeah, they were playing at
Sacramento and Draymond Green. It was early on and Draymond
or yeah, it's early on in the in the season.
Draymond Green literally was pounding and yelling at Kevin about listen,
come get the ball, step up, do what you're supposed
(01:58:54):
to do. Because in his face when I started to
rewind it, he looked nervous. He could look kind of
like he didn't want to mess up kind of think.
And that Kevin Durant is who Draymond Green argues with
because Draymond Green, like I said before, he's a protege
of tom Izzo. Tom Iszzo wants everything from you, but
he loves you, and I think it's it's a misconception
of Raymond Draymond Green is this that whatever, he just
(01:59:16):
wants to win and when he sees that you have
this potential to do X, Y and Z. If you
show me you can make a layup, son, I want
you to keep making live. You show me you can
play d I don't want to no days off of it.
Be great. You want to be the best. This is
what it takes. And I think that's what Draymond Green
was trying to get out of Kevin Drean. But that
those arguments and those bumping their heads and everything like that,
it's been set the very beginning, I think. All right,
(01:59:36):
And last one, best to drama story non basketball related
during the NBA season, Ryan Music, It's gotta be Lebron
James drinking wine on the bench maybe the most arrogant
move I've ever seen by an athlete. You imagine, like
just walks in with with a cup of wine to
(01:59:58):
a game that he's not playing in. If that was
you imagine if Durant pulled that, he would get killed.
You know, at first, I was like, dude, what does
it matter? But then you think about it's like, it's
pretty weird. It's pretty bad. I mean, do you imagine
imagine if you were playing and one of your teammates,
who the best player on the team, uh, showed up
(02:00:19):
to the game right before. And this is a guy
that you guys have always rallied around when he was
out there playing, and he shows up, is nearly late
to the game, and he's drinking like a red one,
like a Merlot as he's walking into States. Well, he
wasn't drinking. But the story behind is like Clyde Drexel game,
was that seven thirty cloud to come Clyde uxus to
come to the game seven ten, We're about to play
(02:00:42):
the game. That's act like they didn't care. And I
love Clyde, but come on, ah, yeah that was of
course he was amazing, all right, So he is Katino Mobile.

We are Farmers under written my Farmers Truck Fire Insurance
Exchanges and affiliates products not available in every state. This
is the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio. He
is Katino Mobile. I'm Jonas knocks in for Doug Gottlieb
here on Fox Sports Radio. And right now it's time
(02:01:51):
for this the press, and we turn it over to
Steve de Sager, our national update anchor, for a final
full court press from the Saga. Let's go Steve. Hello, gentlemen,
they are continuing play after the brief weather delay at
the Masters Round two. There's a three way tie for
the league. Tiger Wood still on the back nine. He's
(02:02:12):
three strokes back, but he's in the top ten, tied
for tent with Phil Mickelson and others. And of course
it is a picturesque setting and you can always hear
the birds chirping in the background on the CBS broadcast
annually some and it's just a conspiracy theory. I think
that CBS is piping in bird sounds just like uh oh,
I don't know. Maybe a football team in the past
(02:02:34):
has been accused of piping in crowd noise to their
home games. We actually got down to the bottom of
this with today an article on slate dot com that
CBS back at the two thousand p g a in
a different state, actually admitted with the whole chicanery of
piping in birds chirping. But this article spoke to a
(02:02:54):
guy in ornithology at Cornell who happens to be a
huge golf fan. He was one of the guys years
ago called CBS on that and he says, absolutely the
birds I'm hearing and he catalogs them manually. The birds
I'm hearing at the Masters are native to Central Georgia.
They are the ones I'm hearing that should be calling
there this time of year. You know. Come on, First
(02:03:16):
of all, nobody should admit to what it is. Just
keep it a mystery, all right, Keep people engage, man.
I mean, if you're gonna sell everybody on a on
a course that nobody is allowed to go to, you
like your Ryan Burr. You can't even have your cell
phone on the course either. You cannot run. You will
be people's phones go off in church, but no not
at Augusta National. So you know what, if you're gonna
make some some fake birds and pipe those in, just
(02:03:38):
continue the mystery. Come on, play it up a little
bit for God's snakes item too. They just showed this
replay from Zack Johnson's round today. This is a guy
who's been a major champion, but he inadvertently, on a
practice swing, hit the ball, send it Karen off, the
team marker, and his eyes, according to his playing partner,
was big as I've ever seen them, jaw dropped, but
(02:03:59):
then he a good chuckle because it's not a penalty
for accidentally hitting the ball. The ball is not considered
to be in play until it's actually properly hit from
the t area. But it's some goofball thing that you
and I might do if we walked onto any course
in America and it's yes, a not so top ten
moment for Zac. Well, no, it's not what you and
I would do, because he actually made contact of the
(02:04:19):
ball I would miss. I've done it. It's embarrassing. And
an update for the NBA playoff openers this weekend. For Philadelphia,
for example, Joel and beat status now doubtful for Game
one due to the increasing pain in his left knee.
As for Golden State tomorrow night, Steph Curry went through
practice today and is expected to be available for Game
one against the Clippers. Out there and pressed that the press.
(02:04:44):
