of all time from a year ago. Coming up with
the final segment, Excited to talk to an old friend.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Here it is March. Seth Greenberg joins us. Here, Seth,
how are you happy? March?
Speaker 4 (00:40):
To you?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Happy NCAA tournament?
Speaker 5 (00:42):
To you, sir, It's just good, can't good play? Let's
get this thing going wait for us for a long time.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Do you get annoyed by all the people who haven't
been waiting for this for a long time, who just
kind of stroll around your sport once the tournament starts?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Is that frustrating to you?
Speaker 5 (00:59):
Oh? See once the NFL Super Bowl. Oh there's another
sport going on. I mean it's college basketball. I mean,
but this has been one of the most watched seasons
in college basketball a long time. Some of it has
to do with the freshmen and how good they are.
Someone doesn't do with last year the four number ones.
I think style of plays had a lot to do
(01:19):
with it. But it's been a great year. I mean,
more really good players, more good teams, even like everyone's
losing their mirow. The bubble soft. Actually the bubble wasn't soft.
The problem is each league had two or three really
teams that maybe separated themselves, and then they'd have nine
teams because see, leagues are so big that would just
don't beat each other up. So they end up like
(01:41):
eight and ten or nine and nine, and if they
played there a fairly difficult non conference schedule, they end
up with, you know, thirteen or fourteen losses. And people
perceived that as the bubble was soft and trilogious. The
good teams are playing against each other more games, and
there's more parody.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Seth, there's something.
Speaker 6 (02:01):
There's a handful of teams that when they're sort of
on the top line or the number one overall, SEA
just brings a little extra juice to the tournament. It
feels like Duke being that top seed does that for
this tournament. What is it about Duke this year that
makes them so good in particular? And what kind of
pressure is on them now at this point? Does it
feel like they have to get this done?
Speaker 5 (02:23):
Well? I think it's less pressure because they might be
about two of their starters and Patrick and for sure
Kiln Foster. So I mean, how many teams can afford
to lose two starters and still continue to compete for
national championship? And I think they can't compete for national championship.
Of course, They've got an elite shooter in Isaia Evans,
and they got Kamboozer, who's just a little bit different.
Caden played great last few games in the ACC tournament
(02:47):
and he's getting starters for reps. They're an elite defensive team.
Everyone does what they do well, and Duke is a brand.
I mean, either you like them or hate them or
the Yankees seth.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
It's good to see Saint John's back in the mix
in college basketball. And I'm wondering here because it felt
to me like they should have been a two to three,
maybe a three seed, but the committee disrespected the season,
the body of work and the season they put together.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Is that fair?
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Uh? Yes?
Speaker 7 (03:13):
And no?
Speaker 5 (03:14):
The two ways against Connecticut. Obviously, UH negated a little
bit by the one blowout against Connecticut, but they didn't
get anything in the non conference any the East was there,
so they just didn't get opportunities to get those wins
that would compare new teams that maybe put text. I
thought they'd get it four, but they didn't get the
winns they needed to get to get up to like
(03:35):
a three. I mean like like they had a great
year compared their resume to Arkansas. Arkansas got to a fourth,
there were five. Arkansas won the SEC much deeper SEC,
so it it's like splitting the hairs. I think the
most important thing is you know regions where you know
they're trying to get to the point of four that
second weekend, where are you playing.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
Seth the Florida coming back the one seed to defending
national champs.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I watched them all year long. I'm a Gator myself.
Speaker 6 (04:05):
I haven't seen them really find a replacement guy that
they can trust, like Walter Clayton, because it's either a
blowout for them or if that's at the time that
I've watched, or they they struggle a little bit in
the clutch. What do you think about Florida. I know
they've had the transfer guards really sort of come into
their own, but do they have that type of win
it all sort of player like Walter Clayton in this unit.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
I think the last year was the guards of shirts
to bigas. This year it's the getting ex possessions on
the glass, expositions off your defense. Do they have a
guy like Walter Clayton they can drive it in, pull
it out, back step and knock down threes in multiple
tournaments there. I don't think so, but they're gonna get
extra possessions off their defense, and they're ridiculous in transitions.
(04:48):
I do. I'm concerned. I mean I thought they're Gonnay
went twelve and ar Old, they're playing great, and then
they had a meltdown in the SEC tournament. Even the
game they won, I mean turn it over and didn't
shoot the ball. Well kind of we're a middle out
of I'm sure practice has probably kicked that out of
him a little bit. But they're still really, really good.
They could win national championship, but their guard plays a
(05:09):
little bit fragile, even though it was better.
Speaker 7 (05:12):
Set. There's a lot of big names in this tournament.
Cameron boozer, Darren Peterson, Cole Pete, aj Debonsa. Who's a
name that's kind of going under the radar for a
team that could get hot and make a run this march.
Speaker 5 (05:25):
It's fairy Saycuff. I mean he's he's ridiculous. He's Damian Lillard.
I mean, you see if you saw what he did
the SEC tournament, but we saw he did all season long,
especially at the end of the game. I call him
he's a starter, like you're talking baseball. He's a starter
and a closer. I mean that's he starts the game
(05:46):
and then he hits itself and he makes sure I play.
At the end of that game the other night, you know,
yeah about thirty points, but the three biggest players in
the game, he drew crowd, made a pass and opened
up Trevn Brazil for wide open US. So his feel
is great. He's got a big, thick body. He does
nice job of changing speed, stopping and then accelerating. Uh.
(06:11):
He's really a special special talent. Just in terms of
big picture, I mean, Cole Pete's been great, Kingston Flooding
has been great. All these fresh minut Michael Brown up
his back's right it's been great. They've all been great.
Keithan Woggler's been great, but uh Acuff is probably until
the last few weeks underappreciated.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
A cup is up there among like Kyle Perry's best guards,
right outside of the Eric Rose Division.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Yeah, right in that there conversation, right in that Tires
Maxi conversation, right in all the great guards that he's had.
I mean, if you watch the play, the things that
does just goof. Like we were like little kids sitting
on the on the on the set watching the end
of the first half and then in the second half
of that Arkansas Championship game, the shots guys were making
(07:00):
and just crazy.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Seth is Mick Croning crazy.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Yeah, he's got blank crazy. But I'll tell you what
as he is, as crazy as he is, like everything
that happened, And I'm going to ask you guys, because
you guys are around here, you guys live it. Uh
the Michigan State game, I thought one or two things
were gonna happen. He was even get fired or the
kids were going to quit on him, and then they
(07:28):
won nine on their next eleven And that's so like
the people don't understand and he was one hundred percent wrong,
and that's a choice. I'm not gonna donate anything. But
people don't understand that. When those guys started to play
it at you see anything that they're getting, and he's
he is bat blank crazy. But the amount of time
he spends with those players, and how much he cares
(07:49):
about him as people, and how much he pours into him,
they understand it. They understand kt of what he is.
But in the end, who he is is a guy
who's really passionate and really cares about his players.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
Seth, I was watching ESPN Selection Show and your bracket
you have Michigan State versus Michigan in the National Championship.
I'm wondering what would that do to both Michigan fan
bases because I don't think either fan base would be
ready for that.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Well, first of all, we guarantee Big Tag get a championship.
It hasn't happened since the last one. I mean, I'm
gonna we stillize this full disclosure here and I'm going
to finalize mine. But we fell out those brackets. If
you're watching that show, you see it's looking down. We're
looking down. We're filling out the brackets as we're talking,
(08:41):
like if Bills is talking, I'm feeling we still out
those brackets in about three four minutes. But I mean, look,
that could happen. Michigan State Jeremy Fears is terrific. Uh,
They've got a physicality defense and they've got two seniors
upfront that are really like Carson Cooper has become a
really good player. I mean, actually call it was a
tough patch up, but making enough shots they defend their rebound.
(09:04):
That could happen. Duke without you know, without Callum is
a different Duke team. So and you know, Michigan's good,
and that was good that they lost ledacation, but they're
still really good.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Seth between now and Thursday, how many brackets will you
have filled out?
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Oh? Just one more? I don't I'm a big bracket.
Last year I filed out one bracket. I was in
the ninety nine percentile going into being like a little
bit of a homeber and ticket is or I had
three out of four and I had only I think
two wrong one or two wrong. Wow, going into to
the final four. I had a good year. This year
(09:44):
is much more difficult. Yeah, I made my friends a
lot of money last year.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Make us a lot of money feel very well more difficult.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
But is it crazy to think that Darren Peterson, because
there's that thought that you know, he wasn't giving it
at all. Maybe in the regular season, like if he
is all the way turned up, that he could absolutely
just have a magical postseason here.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Yeah he could. But if you watch Big Felt Champion
part of it, you'd say that team would have a
hard time doing that. I mean the lack of enthusiasm
and energy and committivity and joy. Uh yeah, obviously, you
know the reporters can take that out of you. He's
an incredible talent, and you know, I like, I'm about
wanting to go into well, yeah, he's got to play
(10:29):
to a guy, I don't know what his body's going through.
He's an elite shop maker, he's an NBA shot maker.
He's a very good finisher. He's a willing passer. But
I don't like his body language. You know some guys
and that's just me. I like emotional, you know, fired up, tough,
you know, good locker room, high energy guys. And he
doesn't say boom man. Guy doesn't talk.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Is there a team in this in this tournament?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Seth that you feel like has no business being in
the NCAA tournament.
Speaker 5 (10:59):
Well, you just ask if I think Miami should be
the terns to dress.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Okay, they should be okay, surprised, Seth knows me.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Well, would you be surprised if they went more than
one game in this tournament? I'd be shocked, shocked, really shocked.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
I don't think they'll be best to you, No, they
won't get the guard, they might get hurt under glass.
Play with great space and you can really shoot the
ball and are fun to watch, and shooters complay suit
play anywhere. And Skal Jacks is the tough dude that
left handed the point guard Myers. They invert their offense.
Wolf started at RUT because I think he's gonna be
(11:36):
a good player at RUT because you know, the Elmer
kid is a nice player. They're a nice team. But
Actle was the best team in that conference. M hm.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
I'm big on Nebraska coming out of the South reaching
the final five.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
He's got the team that's never what.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
The final for it. I mean, I like the yeah,
may yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
The year is great and they're having a great year. Yes,
and they can invert their offense and they can shoot
the ball. And sam plays as hard as anyone, and
Frager is a really good freshman, and sam Ford is
a big time shooter. And if you got them Bolton
Finals four, you're in the same category as Nick Crogen.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You said that, beautiful Lisa staying in the South region.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
A lot of people are looking for upsets. I'm looking
right now. I'm a Carolina grad. I see Carolina's minus
two and a half against VCU. Is Carolina on upset alert?
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, oh boy, yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Think they are. I don't know if it will happen.
Somet Martelly Junior's team is good. Nick Lewis is an
explosive young freshman guard. Darrin Tracy's an athletic long plays
really really hard. They can shoot the ball, They come
out in waves, play really fast. Uh, it'd be interesting.
I mean to me, that could be a very very
(13:06):
interesting game. They can match the intensity of the Seth Tremble.
So yeah, I think that that's one. If you want
to take it like a flyer, that's a that's a
pretty good good one to pay a flyer on.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Is that that?
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Have you ever really picked, like nailed the super low
seeded team that made the run. Have you ever predicted
that like on the nose any of these years?
Speaker 5 (13:27):
No, the one that may on the run DCUK not
gon be on an Answer Life tournament.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
So I'm with those teams because I was trying to think.
I mean, you mentioned this year might be as difficult
of any as any to predict a double digit seed
making any kind of run, right, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
I think it'll be like Utah State is at nine
is an interesting I don't think they can make a
run in that bracket, but they're you know, their metrics
are are really interesting. They're hard to play against, a
really physical Defensively, they'll play zone and play man. They
got two kids, Mason false Vent he goes right every time,
but he goes right every time and he gets there.
And Dad Collins can really it, can really shoot it.
(14:05):
They like that guy could be Coach Calhoun could be
the next which of Cincinnati people are talking about. So
I think they're third team that could kind of make
some noise. I think, you know, Saint Louis is an
interesting one to me because you know one thing about
that bracket. You know, like Texas Uh, Texas Tech is
not a three seed because they don't have JT. Tompin.
(14:28):
So like that's why I think Michigan's got the softest
bracket and the softest region. Of course, they're three is
not a three as good as Donovann outwell shoots the
ball and as good as Christian Anderson is. Uh and
you know, other guys have stepped up, but Petty stepped
up a little bit undersized, they don't. They just don't
(14:48):
have anyone up front that can vry. Few people can
do the things that JAT tomp can do.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
Yeah, so it sounds like a nine seed is probably
the lowest seed you'd be willing to, you know, maybe
take a chance on.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Yeah, yeah, I think so. I like Akron is a
flyer in that game against Texas Tech a little bit
that that that's like someone want to take a flyer.
Acker's really good. They're off furthered offensive. They play really fast,
they shoot thirty seven percent of shots from the three
point line. They're a good passing team, they're older, they
got three guys that have been there four years. Sacrilegious,
(15:20):
I mean, I mean, they're they're they're they're a good team.
They're a good team. And if Furman didn't play Yukon.
I would have said Furman as a fifteen would be
worth a shot. Uh, they got a Cooper Bowers Kiddings
shoot seventy from the fields six to eleven kids only
as junior, and then they've got a very good Treshman
(15:41):
Akins freshman about sixty three, a little erradic, but pretty good.
I'll give you a double digit seed. You might want
to kind of mess around with top Florida over Louisboo.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Wow, you guys right, stuff down. I have that one.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
That is it's a really good style of play, really
good offensive rebounding team after guard the three a little
bit better, but incredibly athletic. I mean they fly at
down the floor. Brian Houstin's done a great job there
in a short period of time.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Seth, how about Purdue pretender or contender?
Speaker 5 (16:19):
If they're physical defensively like they were against Michigan, they're
a contender. All they got to be physical defensively, and
Lawyer can't be taken out of the game. Because Lawy's
taken out of a game, you know they need those.
They don't have as many weapons offensively. I like Trayoff
and Rin, but if Lawyer's taken out of a game.
(16:39):
They puts so much pressure on Braden Smith to maybe
score a little bit more cluff and I think that's hard.
But when they're gardening and physical and that things in
the sixty eight to seventy two's, I think they're really dangerous.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
You know, we're a South Florida Bayed show. How good
is the University of Miami.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Jay's done a great job. He's doing a great job
for the love of sunny Hurst right there. Uh, you
know they're there. They defend their physical bright o of
the Jay Loop is probably the best job of anyone
going into the portal and getting guys that will play
together and are connected. I mean, their roles are really
(17:18):
clearly defined to Washington guards of ball, what makes open shots,
which is gives them their inside kind of match up problems.
You know, Henderson kids are really good defenders, kind of
like the domisar of of of the Miami team. I
love Trey Donaldson. I love Trey Dollison's leadership. They don't
have great depth, but they have a nice team Seth.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
It's always great to uh to hear your voice, great
to catch up. It's your time of year, my man.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
It is March. I am so happy it's here.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
It's a good time of the year. You know, cop
have in March. Go to the beach.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
I go to Augusta. You go to the beach. I
got to Augusta.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
But I don't know. You're probably also flying on a
private jet. Shaw mean, world will limited listen.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
I don't want to brag on we'll break, but I do,
and somehow they're still delayed.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Well not today. I should used it today, Seth.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
We look forward to watching your coverage on a ESPN

Speaker 8 (18:58):
We'll get to the college basketball new the day in
just a second, But we've got some NFL to talk about.
The Justin Fields era with the Jets is overtraded to
the Kansas City Chiefs today. Chiefs gave up a sixth
round pick in the twenty twenty seven draft for Fields,
and the Jets are paying seven of the ten million
that's guaranteed on Fields a contract forty nine ers of
sound wide receiver Christian Kirk to a one year deal,
(19:20):
while veteran corner Darius Slay announced his retirement from the
NFL after thirteen seasons. Speaking of retirement, that's what Butler's
thed mana did, stepping down from coaching. Won five hundred
and two games throughout his coaching career. This was his
second stint at Butler also spent time at Xavier and
with Ohio State, led them to two final fours. CBS
(19:41):
Sports reports Penny Hardaway will return to coach Memphis for
a ninth season now. The Tigers missed out on the
tournament this year. They had been to the dance three
of the previous four seasons, but went just thirteen to
nineteen in this campaign. His first non twenty win season
at his alma mater, Alabama, plays Friday against Hofstraw. The
status Guard Aiden Holloway is not known at this time
(20:02):
after he was arrested this morning on a felony drug charge.
Authorities say they recovered more than a pound of marijuana
paraphernalia in cash at the residents of the Tides second

Seattle and Las Vegas. WBC SEMIS winner gets the US
in the title game as Italy takes on Venezuela at
seven o'clock Eastern time on FS one.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Sto back to you, Thank you, Dan.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
We should not be celebrating that Zion Williamson is playing
or has played in thirty five consecutive games. And it
was a post on social media celebrating Zion Williamson playing
in thirty five consecutive games.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Congratulations, Zion.
Speaker 6 (21:07):
It is pretty sad. It's what's sadder is having played
in all those games. His team is actively not trying
to tank because they can't benefit from a high draft
pick this year, and yet they're still losers.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
That has eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, we
will get to the Bleacher Reports one hundred greatest NBA
Basketball Players of all time from a year ago. In
the last segment, is he how do you feel? I
heard the update there with Dan Beyer. I was listening
and he was talking about the NBA expanding How do
you feel about NBA expansion here?
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I mean they have enough teams, you.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
Know, it's been a bit of a discussion for a
while now. I think the you can see with most
teams that the depth of talent is pretty deep in
the NBA, Like there are a lot of really good players,
and I think there's enough talent to have a couple
more teams. Yeah, and been talk about you know, getting
Seattle to team back because they never.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Should have left.
Speaker 6 (22:04):
And Vegas is obviously a place now that it's okay
to have professional teams there that every league wants to
be a part of. So you know, the story is
that they're basically sources saying they're starting step one of
that process, which you know why now, I think it's
probably it's sort of an economic thing. I'm guessing, you know,
take advantage while you can. I mean, these the value
(22:24):
of these teams just seem to be going through the roof.
And like I said, there's plenty of talent.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
To spread out right, the value of these teams continues
to rise.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
And so I think when you look at expansion in
the NBA, of course it's economics right there has to
they're making money if they expand, they're going to make
money Otherwise why expand?
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Yeah, they don't actually feel sorry for the people of Seattle.
They actually just want their money.
Speaker 8 (22:44):
Pack And guys, you can bet on the over under
of what the expansion fee is going to be. Bet
online has it at eight and a half billion dollars
right now?
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Lord geez, you're going over under there, Dan, What are
you doing?
Speaker 8 (22:56):
If it was seven and a half, I would have
gone over.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
But eight and a half, a man, that's a lot.
It is a lot.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Mikey A justin Fields as the Jets starting quarterback sounds
like a disaster waiting to happen. Justin Fields is the
backup to Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City sounds like a
dream come true.
Speaker 9 (23:18):
We are two years away from watching Justin Fields in
the playoffs leading some team we're not talking about right now,
at least wonder he's gonna go spend a year. He's
gonna go spend a year under Andy Reid, and then
some team is gonna sign him and he's gonna be fixed.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
This is our life.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Well in Kansas City, he's gonna have that one Chad
Henny drive to save a postseason game because Patrick Mahomes
turned his ankle the opposite way, and yeah, he's gonna
have a moment which he would never have had with
the Jets.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
But there are certain guys.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
They just sound but they feel better as a backup
quarterback option as opposed to being you're starting. Like, if
Daniel Jones is your backup quarterback, man, you have a
good quarterback room him as your starting quarterback.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Yeah you kind of average, you.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Know, Yeah you don't.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
It's the guys you don't want to see a lot
from and when you do see him, You'll only remember
a couple of good things that they did. They're like, okay,
just bring those good things, play a couple of downs,
and then we're good.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
But I'm with Mikey.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
I fully look forward to Justin Fields winning Super Bowl
MVP for another team in about three or four seasons.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
I just haven't figured out which team yet.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Can we Taylor's been sort of keeping us.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
Abreast of his family situation when it comes to the
World Baseball Classic. Can we get an update here on
Taylor your dad's relationship with Team Italy because you've been
bragging with us, Taylor.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Italian the Hippolis's yahip line.
Speaker 6 (24:42):
You've been bragging to us about Italy possibly being a
powerhouse and maybe them winning this whole thing.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Has your dad caught on yet?
Speaker 5 (24:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (24:49):
So my dad, just for the audience that hasn't been listening,
born and raised in Italy, really wasn't keeping up to
date with the World Baseball Classic. Stu something this week?
Can something this weekend? Switched? Yeah, because he locked in
for the Puerto Rico game. He's a guy who's really
not watching much of any baseball and stew I got
(25:11):
a text that said, Italy, we are the best, Taylor.
I'm coming to Miami for game.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
There's only two remaining, maybe one for then. I mean, so, I.
Speaker 7 (25:21):
Believe he is en route right now for the Venezuela
game tonight. And he texted me he said, Hey, really
like this Vinnie Pasquatino guy. Do you think they'll have jerseys?
And I said yes, And he said, where's Vinnie Pasquatino
from Richmond, Virginia.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
He's not from the homeland, Dad, Virginia.
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Can you explain how this growth is actually exponential? Like
when you first talked to him about the Italian team,
what was that conversation?
Speaker 7 (25:49):
Like, So, his first question was is the World Baseball
Classic new? And I was like no, I think the
first one was like two thousand and six. He was like, so,
is this new for Italy? I'm like no, I'm pretty
sure they've had a team almost every year. Yeah, completely
new to him, completely new to all his siblings. But
is he I think what's happening is the more Italy
is winning.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah, well that's usually how it happens.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yes, that winning has begun to trinkle over to the Motherland.
I think I just made up the word, yes, trickle.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
But somehow we all know what you meant put it
on the pole his trinkle a word, Taylor, can you
was that the text verbatim?
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Did he actually say Italy we are the best?
Speaker 4 (26:33):
Is that exactly how that came out?
Speaker 7 (26:34):
So I believe he's I believe he's one of the
text to talk people where he's talking to his phone
and Italian is his first language, so it says Italian,
we are the best.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
So he was expecting when you like ran through the
roster with him, that all these guys were from like
Florence or Dinia, like all these right on the motherland.
Speaker 7 (26:53):
A couple of guys from Piano the coast.
Speaker 6 (26:58):
But somehow, when you saw the tech where it said
Italian we are the best, you knew exactly what he
was talking about. You didn't think it was a food genre,
you didn't think he was commenting on Totalina.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
He just had.
Speaker 7 (27:09):
So I think the best thing that happened for Italy,
for my dad's viewing experience in this game is they
got out to an eight to two lead. So then
when that happened, is he I'm telling you right now,
the Italian fans they're getting cocky, like they're thinking that
this is a team of destiny right now.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
I mean, they have a team of Americans Italian Americans.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
Does your dad has he caught on with the espresso
celebration and is that dangerous for his heart?
Speaker 7 (27:34):
So I don't believe he so the game that he watched,
they didn't hit any home runs, so I don't think
he's he's up to date with what they do for
their celebrations. The one part that really got him though,
is when they won, he just realized that it just
turns into an Andrea Bocelli concert and he was all
about that, Oh my goodness, what a voice.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Wait, it's a tailor. Who are you going to be
rooting for? If it's team USA versus H against USA B.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
So the American Americans present the Italian American This is.
Speaker 7 (28:07):
A bit of a house divide a game for me
now that I'm thinking about this, right and I've had
the take that I think that Italy loss is going
to get better as the tournament goes on, and not
to pat myself on the back, that kind of has
but I think I have to go with Vinny Pasquatino.
I'm a pass Quatino guy. I'm a passquatch guy.
Speaker 6 (28:24):
Right now, really, do you think the US team would
have lost anyway if they started the right players to Italy?
Speaker 4 (28:32):
It's starting to look like that, right.
Speaker 7 (28:33):
It's starting to look like this, like these these are
not guys from from Bari, These are not guys from Rome.
This is a very good MLB team. And if they
have Aaron Nola going in the final. I don't know
if Arnold's pitching in the semis or the final, but
he's going to give them a chance.
Speaker 9 (28:51):
I love the idea of when they finally do hit
a home run and your dad is watching him, calling
you and telling do you know that they take a
shot of a spread, like, yeah, no, we've been watching
it tournament dad.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Yeah, thanks, we know.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Speaking of Taylor's dad, who is a hairdresser, right, yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
One of the things Stu Gott said when he walked
in and saw you on the screen, Tailor, is that's
a nice haircut, Taylor.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
That is possibly the best your hair has looked since
he's known you.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah, I did say that you look good, Tailor. What happened? Yeah,
what happened there?
Speaker 7 (29:19):
I just went to a new barber.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Shop, right, was it a barber that I recommended?
Speaker 5 (29:23):
It?
Speaker 7 (29:23):
Was a barber that you recommended. So I went to
a first barber shop here in Fort Lauderdale, and the
guy at the end, first he grabbed my phone and
made me do a Google review while I was sitting
in the chair.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
That's Fort Lauderdale man.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Immediately one star.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
That's how we roll.
Speaker 7 (29:38):
Yeah, well he filled out the review for himself of course,
was like you just need to hit post. And then
when I'm getting my haircut, he was doing like he
was like spraying my hairline in which you could see
like my hairline.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
To be clear, this is not the person I recommended.
This was the person he went to previous. This is
the first guy, the first guy I found.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Is why you had to recommend so much to him?
Speaker 7 (29:58):
Yes, Stu, He's basically like painting a hairline on my
head and I'm like, my hairline is strong, Like there's
no reason to do that. So that's when I kind
of broke down and I was like, is he I need?
I need a barber? And then is he is? He
came through for me?
Speaker 1 (30:12):
So this guy he spray painted your head and gave
himself five stars while doing it.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Is that what happened?
Speaker 9 (30:18):
Carlos boozared me, can I get the number of the
guy that spray paints?
Speaker 4 (30:25):
Well, how did the conversation go or how did the
haircut go?
Speaker 2 (30:29):
With my guy?
Speaker 6 (30:30):
Because I did give you a little bit of a
warning of don't try to talk too much because you
just never really know where the conversation is gonna go.
Speaker 7 (30:39):
So the conversation was good. He's he's a former New Yorker,
so we kind of bonded over that.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
But is he I am?
Speaker 7 (30:45):
I am probably more aligned with you in the sense
that when I go get a haircut, the less conversation
the better.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
Yeah, same, same, And this is why this one's difficult
to me because I won't say his name or anything.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
But it doesn't matter what you say, he might find
a way to create an argument.
Speaker 10 (31:01):
And even if you completely agree with him, and it'll
just follow up with yeah, I don't know about that.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
And I was like, what do you mean? I just
agreed with you?
Speaker 6 (31:09):
So I'm with you, Taylor. I want less talking the better.
But it also comes a point where if you go
to a guy enough, you have to give him the
small talk catchup on your life.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
It's best, well you do, it's just cut my hair
here's my problem.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
All right, you're right.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
In most cases, here's my problem. My partner also goes
to him, right, so it's like if he talks to him,
then it's like, oh I heard this and this and that,
and I'm just like, oh my god, I just want
to sit here and not talk at all, and you
just cut my.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Hair, right, I'm just searching for silence. I really, at
this stage of my life, I am.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
And you're right.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
When you sit down to get your hair cut, that
is one of the places where you would appreciate no
small talk, no conversation, Just cut my hair, give me
fifteen minutes of silence, and get me the hell out
of there. I do not want to be chatty with
the guy cutting my hair. And I imagine Taylor because
the new guy is a New Yorker that he started
(31:59):
a conversation about turning his back on Roman Anthony when
he hits a home run in the World Baseball Classic.
And of course your guy had an opinion because he
has an opinion on everything.
Speaker 10 (32:07):
Yes, although it won't be about romany haircut guides, what
do you mean or do you get like a or
do you get like you ever get like a straight
razor shave or like a wash or anything like that,
or you guys just straight.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
He put those moldy smelling tawels away from my face.
Speaker 6 (32:23):
I don't need a steam bath on my face and
potentially get some sort of bacterial infection.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
I'm also a little nervous about the blades. But you know,
if you give me a guy that I trust, he
can use the straight blades all they want.
Speaker 7 (32:36):
So my ideal conversation with a barber, it's my barber
back home. It's in a very Hispanic community, and this
guy loves baseball. I love baseball. But we both kind
of go into the haircut. My boy Vladdie. We both
go into the conversation knowing we both really don't want
to talk too much here, so like, I'll sit down.
He goes Glad Guerrero. I go He's having a very
(32:58):
good season.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
And that's it. That's your small talk right there.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Yes, mean, well, I had lunch with Taylor the other
day too.
Speaker 6 (33:05):
That's his all the time talking. It's just just get
in and out a lot of silence. Roman Anthony turning
your back.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Today, we left off the Bleacher Reports one hundred Greatest
NBA Basketball Players of all time on Friday.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
We stopped in last year from last year, a year ago.
Thank you Izzy. We stopped at number forty one, which
was Rick Barry.
Speaker 6 (34:03):
Because life moves fast, man, and a lot of people
probably missed this list. I missed this list, and you
know what, I was hoping for somebody to give me
ten every day so I can consume this list and
digest it properly.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
And again, this list has been out for a year,
so almost almost a year. Are you ready here for
number forty?
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Count spicy baby.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
We have counted down from one hundred. We have arrived
at number forty. Israel goody Era.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
We're doing all the work here.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Not Bleacher Reporting, Nope, number forty.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Bleacher Reports Top one hundred NBA players of all time
from a year ago.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Patrick Ewing, Wow title list.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Patrick Ewing, Taylor is shaking his head. He's nodding his
head in approval. I feel like Ewing should.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Be higher on this Seattle Sonic's legend.
Speaker 7 (34:50):
It was less. It was less nodding of approval at
his spot on the list and just more nodding of
approval of I love Patrick Ewing.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Yeah, that's fair, okay. Number thirty nine according to the
Bleacher Report from a year ago. Clyde Drexler man.
Speaker 6 (35:06):
And yet every time I played with Clyde Drexler on
two K, I wonder why he was so great?
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Yeap.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Clyde Drexler one of those guys that just wasn't gonna
win an NBA title, even though we did. When he
went to Houston, I just did a little Mark Drims.
You did ask, but he didn't win one in Portland
where he wanted to win one. With that reporter because
of Michael Jordan Drexys, there is.
Speaker 6 (35:24):
That none of his teams won a championship, except he
won a championship.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yes, but Jordan's that's one of the guys that Jordan
prevented from winning NBA titles.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
Yep, one of the many.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Except for Elijah. Want only want them right? Because Jordan
decided to take.
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Two years, they don't really count. So if the teams
don't count, then Clyde doesn't count in your personal.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Right, Jordan has eight. Yes that Let's mosey on down
the list here.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
I gonna find my number thirty eight. Do you want
me to say it?
Speaker 2 (35:49):
No, I got it. You shouldn't be looking. I'm not
number thirty eight. Bob Pettitt Wow, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (35:55):
Good player, trusty on that one too. Never in my
life have I seen a Bob Pettit highlight same related
to Andy or no no ye spelled different. Forty three
point six percent career shooter.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Yeah, hikes, what do you average?
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Twenty six point four not bad, it's a good score, sixteen.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Rebounds when I know my Bob Bettt, I mean, come on,
I do not.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Number thirty seven one hundred greatest NBA players of all time.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
According to the Bleacher Report one year ago. Bob Coozy Wow,
goos a couple of bobs. Yeah, cutting it up.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Where mad Dog when you need him?
Speaker 7 (36:33):
Cozy number one on mad Dogs listening, and I are
you what do you think he shot for his career too?
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I think that might be Hondo, Avil Jack, Bob Coozy.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
I'm gonna say Koozy different time, probably shot thirty seven
percent from the field.
Speaker 7 (36:49):
That's exactly correct.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
What I was trying to play the game.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
And here I thought you were just cheating and looking
at the list, but no, you were looking dead at
me the whole time.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Overrated.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Don't tell mad Doug number thirty six, Wow, Alan Iverson
the answer the answer, Wow, yeah, uh, he.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Was so great. What he is shoot from the field?
Not that great?
Speaker 6 (37:14):
Forty two point five percent. He's in Kozy range. Actually
different time, Yeah, different time.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
The thirty fifth best basketball player of all time according
to the Bleacher Report from a year ago.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Steve Nash.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (37:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (37:27):
How many people are taking Allen Iverson over or Steve
Nash over Alan Iverson, I'm a history of beasts.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
I would take Kozy over Nash. Wow, and Pettit.
Speaker 7 (37:35):
Stole a couple MVPs from Kobe.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Stole one from Shack, not Kobe.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
My list won two titles, two MVPs, no titles, no titles. Okay,
he should be lower number thirty four James Harden speaking
of those titles, Wow, you owe me a Cooke Jeeves
Hard and Jesus Bob Coosey has to be outraged. I'm
(38:06):
outraged on behalf of Bob Coosey and his entire family
and the petits number thirty three chasing Kidd.
Speaker 4 (38:13):
This one is a little if you see the key stats,
twelve point six points per game, forty percent field goals
shooter and only I know this doesn't sound like an
only number, but it's him, so only eight point seven
assists per game.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, overrated. It seems like you're saying a little bit.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
Maybe should be in the forties. Jason Kidd never won
a title, did he?
Speaker 5 (38:36):
No?
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Yes with the Mavericks, Yes with the Mess but not
with the Nets. No, not as the leader of the team.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Now went it with the original two? Enough of this anyway?
Where was it? Thirty two? Oh god, the Nets weren't
even his original team.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
Who were No, it was the Mavericks what but they
weren't very good? Remember Jimmy Jackson, And.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Hey, he's a net. Thirty two. Kawhi Leonard, that's a
good one. Is he feels like he should be top ten?
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I know, is he feels like he should be top
if he was, if he was healthy, he'd be top
five all time at number thirty one, although he would
be number one on mad Dog's list. Honda have the
check John havelcheck.
Speaker 7 (39:14):
Kid was also on the Suns before the Nets too.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
What no, not before the nets?
Speaker 5 (39:19):
Was? Yes, he was.
Speaker 7 (39:20):
They were from Marbury.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
I thought it was that you know you're right? It
was before huh Starberry his best years
