Can't wait to tell you how devastating I think that
Pat mahomes minor injury will have a major impact. Let's

(00:52):
get after it. God Leave Show, Fox Sports Radio brought
to you by Discover Card. We tree you like you'd
treat you. Man, What a what an interesting night we had?
Talk about an interesting night in uh in the National
Football League where Pat Mahomes ends up getting hurt and

(01:16):
dislocates his kneecap and the reports are, Um, what you're
going to hear from everybody in Kansas City is, hey,
best case scenario, Uh, this is what happened. Best case scenario,
that's what took place. Well, actually, the truth is the
best case scenario is you don't get hurt, right right,

(01:39):
And UM, I I fully completely understand that it could
have been worse. Um, but it wasn't good and you're
not gonna have your quarterback. And let's also keep in mind, UM,
let's also keep in mind that while it isn't that

(02:01):
bad and it could have been worse, it is not
something that you're just going to throw him back out there.
Mahomes had a bad ankle, was playing well, they were
gonna win the game. It's a it's a quarterback. Sneak
stuff does happen. It's football. But remember you're you have
a quarterback who at the end of this year, everyone

(02:24):
assumes he's going to sign the biggest contract in the
history of the sport. Kancity Chiefs are looking at this
like it's a lifetime contract. He's their quarterback for the
next ten years. So as much as you feel like
your Super Bowl window can close or you could fall
out of the playoffs. One, they're in the a f
C West, which Chargers have been very disappointing. Broncos aren't

(02:44):
any good obviously they smashed him yesterday and the Raiders,
while surprising, it's not like they're gonna run away and hide.
You can hang around. But more than anything, you gotta
look long term, not short term, long term, not short term.
But uh, I do think that Chiefs fans are going
to go through all five stages of crisis right like

(03:10):
like denial. The first stage is denial. I will be
fine fine without him, will be okay, Man more solid,
He's solid, right like we've had We've had Alex Smith,
who his captain check down, We've had other quarterbacks. Look
at all the talent we have. We're if we're fine.
You know, there's also a little bit of anger there
was last night that will be continuing to have anger,

(03:32):
which is what in the world was Andy Reid doing
having a quarterback sneak with Pat Mahomes. Forget the fact
that Tom Brady has a quarterback sneak at least once,
if not twice a game, and that is in fact football, Like,
we can't wrap these guys in bubble wrap and generally,
having a guy stand as a statue in a pocket
that's gonna collapse is more dangerous on your body than
sneaking forward. Then they'll go through bargaining. You know, maybe

(03:56):
we can trade for cam Or Mariota. Here's mine. What
about Nick Foles? What about fools? There's Minshew mania in Jacksonville.
Foles knows this offense from his time in Philadelphia. Why
not Nick Foles? Never know? There's there's depression? Right? Um,

(04:17):
they had to play the Packers next week. They'll probably
get smashed by the Packers. And it was supposed to
be this epic showdown between the Packers and the Chiefs,
the Aaron Rodgers against kind of the future Aaron Rodgers.
And we'll see if ultimately there's acceptance all five stages
for the kanc City Chiefs, but kan City Chiefs fans.

(04:38):
But I think it's most important to recognize, I mean ridiculously,
seriously incredibly important to recognize that last night was huge.
Last night was big because the only thing you felt
like could derail Pat Mahomes is a debil aitating injury.

(05:01):
And I know that Drew Brees suffered one that was
his shoulder. I see Tom Brady suffered one that was
his knee. Heck, Philip Rivers suffered one that was his knee.
So this does happen. The problem is kind of the
casual in this with Oh, the knee popped out, you
pop it in, no structure damage, You're fine, like, no,
he's not, he's not riggs from uh from uh uh yeah,

(05:28):
I mean he's he this is he's not lethal weapons
riggs and then pop his shoulder out and pop it
back in. We need to escape from the bad guys.
Don't just pop your knee back in. I mean, I
guess you do. The problem with the knee popping out
and popping back in with such ease is what's the
stop from popping out and pop back in again? Right?

(05:48):
And every time it pops out it becomes even looser.
You know, this is like a shredding a screw, right,
like the first time you get it out that but
the more and more you do it, the worst it be. Ums.
So this is not me predicting gloom and doom for
Pat Mahomes long term, but I think the idea that
people are saying walking around Kansas City are walking around

(06:11):
with their fantasy team or just walking around as NFL
fans going, She's to be fine. They're already five and two.
You know we'll be fine without him. You've got Packers
and Vikings. You're not winning either of those two games.
And by the way, those are two home games, right
got patrif Vikings, Then you go to the Titans. We'll
see what they look like by then. Then you got
the Chargers who beat you at home last year, and

(06:32):
that's a divisional game, before you get the Raiders another
divisional game. He's not playing in those? Am I gonna
play against the Patriots? Do you know how long it's
gonna be until you see him again? You know they
have the twelve most difficult remaining schedule. I look at
that this is a dramatic change in the a f C.

(06:53):
Because even if he's cleared to play, are you going
to put him out there like? This is? This is?
This isn't any other quarterback. This is the most prized
possession in the NFL. I tweeted this, and you can
go through my my tweets and there's a lot of them.
I'm kind of embarrassingly so, but I tweeted this a

(07:15):
couple of weeks ago. The kand City Chiefs went from
being kind of the punchline too many jokes for NFL fans,
aren't terrible in the playoffs, especially at home, Andy Reid
finding way to lose Earl blah blah blah, to the
envy of NFL teams. You had arguably the best quarterback,
if not maybe not best quarterback, best arm, and guy
with the best talent in the league, still under rookie control,

(07:39):
right with a quarterback friendly offense, a quarterback friendly head coach,
and a team totally built around his skill set. Like
all of these things are perfect. You went from that
to this is a nightmare scenario. A nightmare scenario. You've
already lost two out of three. You've got the Packers

(08:00):
coming in, the Vikings coming in. Those are two teams
with dynamic defenses, good pass rushes. They're gonna get after
Matt Moore and now they'll have more of a book
on him. Then you go to the Titans, Chargers at home,
Raiders and Patriots. And while you can hear the well,
I'll only missed three games. If it's three, plan on
it being six. Because this is not a two year,

(08:23):
three year relationship that the Chiefs want to have with
Pat Mahomes. They don't want. No one wants to be
the Golden State Warriors, who people still think. Even Kevin
Durant was like, look, no one had anything to do
with me playing except for me. That's still not good
enough for NBA players, for NBA fan like, Oh, Golden
State knew, they knew he was gonna leave. They didn't care.

(08:43):
They like that Pat Mahomes isn't going anywhere anywhere. They
want him to stay. They want him to be the
greatest quarterback in the history of the Chiefs, and that
includes a great Len Dawson and Joe Montana who was
there and and and the great Elvis Gorbach. And if
they want that to happen, they're gonna air on the

(09:04):
side of caution. That's what we all do. And when
you have a quarterback who's in his second years of
full time starter and his knee pops out, and the
only thing that keeps knees from popping out more often
is rest and continual rehab and staying off of it right,
staying away from the contact which may have popped that knee.

(09:25):
I'm telling you he's going to be out much longer
than they say because caution will win the day. And
in the meantime, a team that is completely and totally
built around his skill set, his offense, his arm, talent,
his feet, he he hadn't. I mean, look, we we

(09:45):
brought the stats to you yesterday about how you know
the long drives and being on the field for more
plays and longer drives than anybody in the league would
ultimately keep him from a Super Bowl. But that's because
he hid everything else. He was a great deodorant. And
while Matt Moore is a competent backup who for a
game or two, game or two he can survive, but

(10:07):
not against the elites of the league. And that's what
you have with the Packers. I mean, think about the Packers.
When do they play last They just played on a
Thursday night, so they have I mean, they just played
on a Monday night. Now they play the Raiders at home. Meanwhile,
they have time to uh uh to to get tape

(10:28):
on Matt Moore to know this offense. And by the way,
it's the same offense the Bears run. So there aren't
any There aren't gonna be nearly the number of surprises
for other teams that cross over and play against the Chiefs,
as there are throughout the NFC. But I'm just word
to the wise Chiefs fans the five stages of grieving.

(10:50):
You may be through denial, now you may be through anger.
What is Andy Reid doing with a bargaining? We're a
good trade for you can't trade for can't you can't
trade for somebody who doesn't know the offense. There might
be a little depression right now, but I'm encouraging you
to get to acceptance, outright acceptance. Once you get to acceptance,

(11:14):
you'll realize that there's a chance last night's injury, there's
a chance last night's injury takes you out of the playoffs,
essentially injured season. He's that good, he's that important to
this team short term and long term. They're gonna air
on the side of caution. Their schedules the tenth toughest remaining,

(11:35):
and most of those tough games are during the period
in which he'll be out. That was a massive, massive injury,
even if it was a big win for the team.
And that Golic show is brought to you by a
Discover card. We treat you like you treat you. NFL
insider Adam Caplan joins the show. Up coming next do
the chiefs role with Matt Moore or is there somebody

(11:57):
out there that they can acquire in short order? Look,
they got a weekend to do, so get him in,
get him up to speed and getting ready for the
tough part of their schedule. Be sure to catch the
live edition of The Doug Gottlieb Show weekdays at three
pm Easter noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
I Heart Radio Whap Gotlip Show here on Fox Sports Radio. Man, Uh,

(12:23):
you know, you know it's kind of interesting. I mean,
obviously football and Pat Mahomes getting hurt um that because
it's like first and foremost in the reaction, and we
get you ready for a huge college football weekend. We
got you know, Ohio State tonight we have game was
the game five of the LCS. But c c Sabathia

(12:45):
walking off the field, limping off the field for a
last time at Yankee Stadium. I want to get to
that upcoming because you know, as much as many of
us who are not Yankee fans don't like the Yankees,
c c Is was an not a Yankee, you know,
for his soul career and he does have this immensely
likable character, although it does it does feel a little bit,

(13:08):
just a little bit like what the Dodgers did with
Clayton Kershaw. This is a little bit all right. Let's
welcome to the NFL insider Adam Kaplan. He joins us
in the Doug Gottlin Show here on Fox Sports Radio.
And and Adam, how big an injury do you think
Mahomes is dislocated? Kneecap? Was it is? It's big dog
go to talk to you. Yeah, here's why Matt Matt

(13:31):
Moore given credit and he read did a great job
of managing him. But it was a little bit ugly.
I mean, you're talking to a guy who semi retired.
He was going to get into scouting and maybe some coaching,
and this just tells you this stays the backup play
the national football It gets hard to get good backup quarterbacks.
But they'll be able to manage it. They do have
a run game. It's gonna be a minimum three weeks,
it could be more than that. I know that Mahomes

(13:53):
is told after the X ray, we think there's no
other damage, and that's what the m r I confirmed
this morning. The images were good and that's good. Look,
it was an injury where you you look at and
you go, okay, what exactly happened? And then you see
the medical staff reset his knee. That was kind of interesting.
The video that we saw there so much better than
it looked. And they're going to be impacted because they're

(14:16):
not gonna be able to play the offense the same way. Yeah,
I and the other part two. It is no matter
when we want to say he's going to be healthy,
he's going to be right. There's no chance to the
Chiefs who want him to be their quarterback for the
next ten fifteen years, are going to rush him back.
If we hear three games, it feels like it will
be six. Now. You know, I'm glad you said that

(14:37):
because the one thing when I deal with teams, they say, hey,
this is the time frame. They might take three weeks,
four weeks, Well, it's a knee injury that does not
need to be repaired. You could rehabit, but it's not
gonna You could be looking at three to five weeks. Now.
Their hope is that if all goes well once he
started practicing, once he starts practicing, that there's enough strength

(14:59):
in me and some'm setback and maybe before the week
twelve by he plays at the Chargers. But that that
to me is a little bit by in the sky.
But the best thing happened here is that there's no
ligament damage. Um, there's nothing associated with with the kneecap,
nothing other than the injury that happened last night, no
additional damage. That's the best they can hope for now.
Now you wait, and he's gonna have to wear a

(15:21):
braces on that knee. By the way, it sounds like
he's just gonna go out there and run. He that's
the only thing that people are not understanding, Doug. He's
gonna have to change the way he plays. With that
knee brace, he won't be running as much. And he
already had the bad ankle, and and everything they do
is built around him. And then the whole thing is fascinating.

(15:44):
All right, let's let's make our way around the national
football Let's let's talk about those Eagles. The biggest game
of the weekend. I would say is is Eagles versus Cowboys.
Let's let's take the Cowboys perspective. They get their bookend
tackles back at practice, still no word on their wide receivers.
What are your thoughts on that offense versus the Eagles defense. Yeah,
it's a great question. So so we know we know

(16:05):
Mariy Cooper's got his issue with his Bruce quadristeps that
you're concerned about both tackles. The pretty I know this,
so pretty hopeful for one will play. They don't know
if both will play, but that's a problem. I mentioned Cooper. Defensively,
They've got some injuries in the secondary, by the way,
Philly's really banged up. But the Eagles secondary was the
trocious last week. I had a veteran personnel man see

(16:27):
that he never had seen so many missed assignments. He's
fact he thought on defense they had at least a
dozen and quite frankly, if the Vikings tried to try
to put on more points in the fourth quarter, they
might have scored fifty. That's how embarrassing was for the
Eagle secondary. However, they're gonna get Jalen Mills, who started
from them at quarterback in the Super Bowl from his
broken foot. He's been out for almost the calendar year.

(16:49):
They're hopeful with Ronald Darby the other starting quarter to
come back. That is a big reason why I think
they could win that game. But guess what, They're gonna
have their left their their left tackle, first round pick
Andre Allard starting his first NFL game, going against that
really good cowboy front. That's gonna be okay. So let's
let's let's talk about the Eagles. They lead the league

(17:09):
in drops, right, and this is big for whether it's
big for Carson wins with the Eagles or not. It
feels big because you got Doc who wants Carson Wentz money.
It's the same draft, etcetera, etcetera. You mentioned their defensive problems,
what about offensively? Obviously Deshan Jackson was supposed to take
the top off the defense. Um, you know, you didn't
have your best wide receiver for start of the year
and they had all those big drops which caused a

(17:30):
couple of those those losses. What what where is that offense?
It's not good. They cannot get the ball downfield at all.
They have no one who could run. Nelson aghilor the
former first round picking fifteen Chip Kelly Chips last year,
he's one of a slot receiver, vertical slide. He's not
really a deep threat, doesn't track the ball real well.
They have a compressed pass the game. This is why

(17:51):
in this game you're gonna see it. I'm pretty certain
of it. The way you beat the Cowboys defense, you
throw against the safety, you get. The tight ends involve
Evan Ingram. The tight end for the Giants killed them
in week one. Ingram, by the way, we'll be back
this week from his great one mcl S brain. But
getting back to the Eagles here that they're gonna have
to use the tight endsmore. Dallas got at their second
round pick last year was a big factor against Minnesota
last week. That's what they're gonna have to do. And

(18:12):
by the way, to Shaun Jackson was incredible week one,
but I'm told he's got a great to Adam and
Adam and tear and it's right down that it's the
sports muscle core injury. They don't know what exactly it's
gonna be back there, hopeful for next week at Buffalo,
but they're not even certain right now. And without him, Doug,
their passing game is completely different. Um No. Alvin Kamara

(18:32):
at practice today for the Saints. Teddy Bridgewater continues to improve,
and you know they've they've band aided this thing without
Drew Brees quite well. But now that this different animal
going to Chicago taking on the Bears. What are your
thoughts on the Saints on the road. Traditionally not a
great open weather team, but the Bears have their own
offensive issues, Doug, the big story about the football team

(18:54):
is not how Teddy bridge words playing, believe or not,
It's how great their defense has been. Their defense is
the best defensive they put together in ten years. They
have no weakness. I would argue if Marcus Lattimoerris in
Dentaville's the best corner, he's top three. He's a phenomenal player.
He's shutting everyone down. They play a lot of man
coverage with him. Does a great job. I'm picking the
Saints to win this game. I don't think they're gonna

(19:14):
have a problem. I know the Bears are coming off
of their buy and teams benefits from having a buy.
But this same defense, believe or not, it travels well,
and I think they'll come out and win this game.
Travels well. Something we haven't. Yeah, something something we have
not heard from the from the from the Saints in
the in the in the past. All right, Uh, let
me work my way to the U to the Green

(19:36):
Bay Packers. They get a win. They they kind of
survive against the Detroit Lions, and now they get the
Oakland Raiders, who are a surprising team. Um, but you
know the Packers, it's been a series of drops and
the defense at times has allowed has allowed stuff to
be gashed with the running game, and you're coming up
against the team and the Raiders that they want to
get rid of it quickly and run the football any

(19:58):
chance the Raiders have for an upset. Here's what's the
problem is the number one to see what Arry Williams
will not play with his turf till injury. And then
and then um the right tackle twin friend Brown is
not expected to play. That's a problem for me. I
know they're coming off of a bye. This is gonna
be hard. They don't score a lot of points and
they just got to rely on Josh Jacob to their
first round pick. I don't feel really good about I'm

(20:20):
gonna do. I give him a chance yet because they
can run the football on their defense surprisingly has played
pretty well lately, but Green play Green Bay is still
great at home. I don't see them getting done. And
I don't know who's gonna make a play for other
than Darren Waller, who got this nice extension. What a
great story he is. They're tight end. I just don't
see him scoring enough. I think the Packers, one way
or another will win that game. Yeah, that's what are

(20:41):
your thoughts on the Jalen Ramsey trade. I'm the only
thing that surprised me is it got done this early.
I know there are a bunch of teams in it.
The Eagles were one of them. I just don't I
just don't think teams were willing to give up not
only first round picks, two of them. I one GM
telling me, look, and we give up two from we're
getting some back like the Raiders, Like the Bears did

(21:03):
in the Mac trade. They actually got a second back.
If you're giving up to two ones. The only team
that is willing to beat that that I know of
was the Rams. No. I know that a bunch of
teams were in it, No one that I know I
was able to beat two ones and a four. And
that's why they got it done. But let me just
tell you some about the Rams. Keep to leave on
I are there other starting corner. It's gonna be a
problem opposite Jayala Ramsey if he does play on Sunday.

(21:25):
Did practice well, I'm told yesterday John Johnson. They are standing.
The young safety is on into reserve. They've got they're
beat up in the offensive line, they're not running the
ball wells doug As they were away in the season.
They still have a lot of problems here when they
play the Stompkins on Sunday. All right, what about the
Seahawks to keep finding a way? Right, I probably should
have lost to the Rams. Go and beat the Browns

(21:46):
on the road, and they just they find a way.
Now you got the Ravens coming in, and the Ravens
against the elite level teams. Lamar Jackson showing his ceilings
against the lower level teams. He's been dominant. Um, Lamar, Actually,
year two, are you more of a buyer now? I'm
a little bit of a buyer. I had a nice
talk with Greg Roman, their offensive coordinator, when he came

(22:07):
to Philly when they had combined practices, and look, this
is a guy developed Colin Kaepernick and Greg Roman is
probably the best run game designer in the National Football League.
My only problem with Lamar Jackson is Doug runs the
ball way too much. And he's not like a big
guy like Cam Newton. It's not six ft five, he's
six just over six ft two, a little bit wiry.

(22:27):
You're asking for trouble. And Josh Allen, the quarterback for
the Bills, also running too much. I really worry when
when quarterbacks run too much. But it's working right now
because Romans creating so much space for for Jackson to run.
He's doing a great job on the road at Seattle.
By the way, Seahawks getting back Jarren Read they're really
good defensive tackle from the six games suspension, that should

(22:50):
impact their defense, and I'll be interested to see if
if the Ravens can really get the run game going.
I can say young and improved Seattle defense. Adam Kaplan
joined us NFL side of for Serious Sex and Palum
on Twitter at at Kaplan NFL. Also check out the
Inside the Birds podcast um. I would say the Chargers

(23:10):
might be the most disappointing team this season, and I
know they've had a lot of injuries. They just got
back their left tackle from blood cloud issues. You don't
have Derwin James. They have a Hunter Henry. For a
couple of games, they go and take on a Tennessee
team that has decided that Marcus Mariota era is over.
These are two teams just kind of grasping it at something, Um,

(23:31):
what are your thoughts? First on the Chargers if they
can turn this ship around, Doug, you hit on the
top here. Their their defensive injuries are major part down. James,
of course is the biggest one. Two other top three
safeties are out. They're not getting the pastors that you
have in the past. They're doing the best they can
to run. Defense isn't great and they can't protect. Now,

(23:52):
when you talk about Russell comb with coming back from
his pulmonary embolism, he's practicing. He may not play this week,
though they they're not sure yet. They'll they'll figure that out.
But once they get him back, their defense, excuse me,
their offensive line was atrocious in their last game. It's hard,
it's hard to win, and it's hard to win you
when you can't protect. So that's a problem. No, Tennessee,
Let's get over to that. Marcus Mario being benched. Yes, look,

(24:14):
let's not forget this personnel staff and coaching staff. Doug
inherited this quarterback that to me is a problem unless
less Ryan Tannehill doesn't even play fan football. I don't
think Mario it will get another start in. They gotta
win games. Their defense is fantastic. They have a real
good chance to get Cam Wake back from his hamstring injuries.
There outside linebacker who has added a good veteran presence.

(24:35):
I think Ryan Tannehill has got a better army to
give him a little bit of juice and the hopefully
though that you know, they've got a coaching staff that
the first time they've been in charge of a quarterback before,
like a situation like this. This is not easy to
change quarterbacks in the middle of the season. But their
defense is so good. I think they'll find a way
to win this game. Yeah, what what is What is
the major issue with Mariota not seeing the field? Well,

(24:59):
not get where the football quickly. He's too deliberate, he
needs to. He's just not been real accurate. They're having
trouble processing their offense. He's just not getting with the
football on time. Now, ironically, Ryan Tannehill's problem is he's
to see it and throw it. That means Waits Waits,
Waits throws it. But he's got a much better on
the Mariota. When Mariota looked like he's one of the

(25:19):
better young quarterbacks in the league, but he was throwing
the ball on rhythm very accurate. Also, would would be
a threat with his legs, and he's just not the
same player anymore. It could be too many injuries. But
one thing I would say is the offensive coordinator Arthur Smith,
first year calling plays, never developed a quarterback. Pat O'Hara,
the quarterbacks coach, only his second year of coaching quarterbacks.

(25:41):
I think this has I think quarterback development it's sometimes
is tied to how long these guys have worked with quarterbacks.
And I'm not gonna put it on on Marcus Mariota.
I think everyone's got a hand on this. Yeah, I mean,
look at look at what Kansas City did to develop
Pat Mahomes and the layers that they have. Look what
Philadelphias and to develop card Carson Wentz, and there's there's

(26:02):
a reason those young guys have. In fact, even even
look at Dallas, you know, um and what they're trying
to do to develop Dak Dak Prescott. It's it's different
than what Tennessee's doing. Let me ask you about Cleveland.
You mentioned inaccuracies and and suddenly a guy who was
playing well not playing well? How deep are the issues
with Baker Mayfield? Are they fixable? They are? He's got

(26:25):
some insues with accuracy. Wore he was he accurate last year.
He needs to settle down. He's playing too fast. He's
not letting the game go up come to him. But
the other problems which he has done to do with
and I knew this. I told people, they've gotta blow
average offensive line that's been well below average. It's just
it's been a nightmare. They don't protect well. The only
thing they do is they run the ball well. But

(26:45):
there their line is not very good. And John Dorsey
there there, their general manager. I think he's got to
be in the market for offensive line and that's something
they may do. Before the trade deadline. They just traded
one and awesome Corver to the Rams, befomer second rounder
and state who I had a person Oh guys, look,
one personnel guy I'm really close with said, look, I
had a third round graide on him. Not a two,
but he may wind up starting for the Ramps in

(27:06):
a couple of weeks. Okay, let me asking about Trent
Williams really quickly before we let you go. Obviously, he's
the big get out there. He don't want to play
the Redskins. Redskins want a pirates ransom for him. What's
the market like for him in terms of the value
and where do you see him going? Yeah, well Cleveland.
Cleveland's looking for for helping the offensive line. He he's

(27:28):
a left tackle, not a right tackle. He could help
them immediately. There will be a there's a good market
for him, but they're not willing to do it. But see,
this is what I've always said, and John John Elway
the GM that le Broncos is probably gonna come down
to the same thing. They won two in a row.
Now they just got embarrassed at home. If they lose again,
they'll be two and six At the trade deadline. You
got a move players who don't want to be there

(27:49):
or who were the last year of their deals. Chris
Harris the corner. I think he'll wind up getting moved
if they lose next week. Emanuel Sanders also in the
front of his deal there. There should be some action
on him. Trent Williams, he doesn't want to be there.
You saw Lamsey did he didn't want to be there.
The guy doesn't want to be there in the end,
and you can't men fancies that God won't meet with you.
What is the point? Get value? You're not going anywhere.

(28:10):
I think I thinks Sale's gotta get realistic here. They're
gonna have a new coaching step next year. You might
as well start with a new left tackle. Adam Caplan
NFL Insider series sex m great follow on Twitter at
Kaplan NFL and check out his podcast Inside the Birds. Adam,
what a great wealth wealth of information you are. Thanks
so much for joining us. I don't know if you
guys saw this story, but Zion Williamson is uh not

(28:34):
going to play early on this season because of a
knee issue. Remember you didn't play last night in New
York in their final preseason game, which you know, look,
I I saw as you would likely playing that anyway.
On the other hand, it is New York. You're trying
to promote the team, he's trying to sell some sneakers, etcetera.
But now let's take a breath. What have we said
about Zion? We said the what what the limitations are?

(28:58):
Like one, he's you know, in terms of talent wise,
he is six five and a half. He's six five,
really's six six with shoes on, Like that's six five. Okay,
So he's got to be a small ball for he's
gotta be a four small ball five, which he can
do what you can do. But he has to continue
to develop his perimeter game. Pull up jump shot. Didn't

(29:18):
you one pull up jump shot last year in college?
Um continue develop his perimeter skills. But the other thing is,
and this is the bigger deal, is hey, can you
play an NBA season at two five? And the answer
is hell, he can't even play a summer league season
or a college basketball season. And he hasn't played a

(29:38):
game in the NBA season and he's already been shut down.
I think you think about that for a second. So
here's the you if you saw him in summer league,
you'd be like man and and watching Zion in person,
not with his arms flax when he grabs a basketball whatever,
Like he's just he's a thicker kid. He looks like
a football player playing basketball. He has got to drop

(30:00):
like pounds immediately. And as much as you sit there
and go like that, that's that's crazy. You can't do it.
Of course you can, of course you can. You know,
it comes massive diet change, exercise change, you know. But
I mean a lot of it is is diet and
and and how you train him. And I'm sure there
will be some times in which he loses some strength.

(30:23):
But like, look, if you hurt your knee in college basketball, grant,
it was a freak thing. Is shoe ripped off, But
part of it was the torque on that foot. The
torque on that shoe was the reason that he got hurt.
When you factor that in and then he heard a
knee in summer league, however bad it was hurt. Like
we we haven't even gotten to where he's playing a
game yet he's already hurt a kneet Like that's just

(30:45):
too much grind, too much, weight, too much, wear and
tear too much. The only possible smart solution is shut
him down, trim the weight before he ever gets on
an NBA floor. It's the only one one. It's the
only one. How many games will the Chiefs win without
Pat Mahomes will discuss next be sure to catch the

kind of poetic license, pick where he wants to go
with the show, but but keep it to the topics
of the day, the topics of the night, the topics
of the weekend. We play a game. This is game

(31:31):
Time Tide on The Doug Gottlieb Show, Dan Buyer, check
out Dan Buyer Show Sunday afternoons right here on Fox Sports. Right.
I mean, you just do yourself. Favorite, never changed the
station and you're good. Uh, Dan Buyer e from Salam
reacting to all the first games in the NFL and
then under in the second games. Great interviews, straight back

(31:53):
and forth. Awesome show, Uh Dan. The game today is psychic.
I know that because I'm psychic. Okay, let's see after
those kind words, today's game is psychic. Alright, your one
for one. Although we don't keep scoring this game because
you tell us the answers psychic. Who is the favorite
to win the a f C West Right now? I

(32:15):
still think it's the Chiefs that the facto Chiefs. I mean, like,
look the Chargers, it's not just the injuries. They're leaking
the league and missed tackles. They have no home field advantage,
their schedule gets more difficult. I don't see the Raiders
being a long term Yes. Uh, They're gonna lose to
the Packers this weekend and we've seen the Broncos, so
I still think they're the favorites. I just I don't

(32:36):
know when he comes back. Even my psychic powers can't
tell me when he comes back, because I think the
Chiefs hold him out of game or too longer. Alright, psychic.
If Patrick Mahomes returns after the bye week, that's week
twelve for Kansas City. How many games would they win
in the span before that return? So there would be
home against the Packers, home against the Vikings at Tennessee,

(32:57):
and then the game in Mexico City against the Chargers.
I'm gonna say zero, none of them, even at Tennessee. Yes,
all right, that would be all about that. A showdown
between former Dolphins quarterbacks Matt Moore against Ryan Yeah, yeah, alright?

(33:19):
That more was the starter when Ryan Tannehill was drafted too, right, Um, yeah,
he may have he's been, he was there for a while.
He's from up where I live, a Heart High product
up in the Santa Clarita Valley. Psychic will be bron
He started the season as insistant coach at Heart High School.
Oh then, all right, well, Psychic, Well, the Broncos bench

(33:43):
Jill Flacco after the body week in Week ten. I
don't think so. No. Uh, their issues come down to
the offensive line. Flacco hasn't been good, but no one
can be good behind that offensive line. It was an
epic and complete disaster last night. Alright, Switching gears to
college football, Will any conference get two teams in the
College Football Playoff? Right now? The SEC in the Big

(34:06):
Ten seem to have candidates that could put two teams
in the playoff. Uh? Yes, I I do think one
conference gets two teams in. My psychic powers can have
not allowed me the opportunity to see which it will be.
I just you asked the question and the answer popped
into my head. Yes, Well, you know, no one from
no one from the packs getting in. All right, I'm

(34:28):
not you know, Let's we assume Clemson's getting in, but
remember they got South Carolina at the end of year.
South Carolina just beat Georgia UM. Plus they got the
not that they're gonna lose it. You think they lose
the a CEC title game, but it's not like they've
been dusting teams off week after week after week. But
let's assume Clemson gets in. Reputation wise, you got Oklahoma
maybe right if they can hold on, they still have

(34:49):
Oklahoma State, UH, possible rematch with Texas in the Big
Twelve title game. Like there's there's still some other stuff
out there for the Sooners to do. Whereas I think
the Big Ten, you know, if if a Penn State
loses to the Ohio State or Ohise State lose the
Penn State, you can see both of those teams getting in.
Or Wisconsin loses at Ohio State UM and then Wisconsin

(35:11):
beats Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game, they
could both get in. I think the same thing could
happen with l s U and Alabama where one team
wins but they both end up advancing. One one conference
will get two teams in. You Psychic Philly's outfielder Bryce
Harpard told The Athletic he is so happy for the
Nationals right now, but will his feelings change if they
win the World Series? Well, will those feelings change what

(35:36):
he says? That's heck, we don't know if if what
he's saying and what his feelings, if that's correct right now,
but that's my point. Yeah, yeah, I think it's one
thing to be like, that's great, but then if they
win at all, maybe he would be like, uh yeah, um,
I think his his feelings will remain the same. He

(35:57):
will wipe his tears with one hundred dollar bills psychic.
Will a Nationale's Astro's World Series matchup change people's minds
about the importance of starting pitching in Major League Baseball?
It's a great point. No, no, it won't because starting pitching,
while incredibly important in the postseason, is not nearly as

(36:18):
important during the regular season. And I know you sit
there and go like, hey, the Astro is the best
team in baseball? What do you mean it doesn't mean anything.
I'm not saying it doesn't mean anything, okay, but different
markets have different values. They're right, they just do, and
not everybody can have that starting pitching. It's it's for
the postseason. Everyone knew starting pitching matter, But for the

(36:40):
regular season. I think it's a different calculation psychic. How
many regular season games do you see Lebron James playing
for the Lakers this upcoming season after playing in just
fifty five contests a year ago. I think the magic
number is sixty five, My guests, magic number sixty five.
Kauai played sixty last year coming off an injury and

(37:02):
just had enough to get him to the finish line.
I think Lebron wants to make a statement early on.
I would expect, like I think the Lakers are gonna
hammer the Clippers next Tuesday at Staples. But I do
think that he'll sit some games. I'm gonna say sixty
five is the magic number? All right? And finally, how
much will the Pelicans miss Zion Williamson since he won't
be with the team at the start of the season. Well,

(37:22):
the crowds will be different, the buzz will be different.
The NBA is gonna miss him. You know. Opening night
they're supposed to play the Toronto Raptors, right, and that's
they're gonna play Toronto Raptors, And that just's not the
same thing. But keep in mind that they made the
trade the stuff a Lonzo Ball, who I think is
gonna have a big year. They have Brandon Ingram who
had a big year last year and should come into
his own. They got Drew Holiday. They'll miss him, but
this is He's one of the great things about Zion

(37:44):
is Duke wasn't built around him, more around r J
and than he kind of took over. This team is
not built around him, and they'll miss him, but it's
not a It's not a season ender for them. This
is game time on the god Leave Show. All right. Uh, look,

(38:05):
we still have our five for five five picks College
five picks pros. My numbers continue to get better, get
better and better. But this might be the dumbest and
most uninformed criticism of a really good NFL quarterback I've
seen in a long time. I'll tell you what it
is and why you shouldn't make any sense of it. Next.

Radio form pro Bowl Wide receiver will join us. Uh

(39:08):
and and we'll we'll talk about the Jalen Ramsey deal
where you know, kind of like Carson Palmer who he
played with stuck is feeding the ground. I ain't playing
unless you trade me. And he got his wish and
unlike some players, he didn't get sent to Tibet. He
got sent to the l A Rams. But does that
make the Rams actually that much better? Plus you got
my picks, uh my take on the Mahomes injury, which

(39:33):
I do think is a dramatic, dramatic sea change for
this season in the NFL, this season in the NFL.
But let's let's let's get to this story. Josina Anderson's
an outstanding NFL insider for ESPN. Her report has this, uh,
this quote from an unnamed Eagles player. We need to

(39:54):
make bleep simpler. Sometimes we need to just handle what
it is manageable. Even Peyton Manning new when to check
it down. Carson Wentz right now is thirty eight percent
on passes that travel fifteen yards in the air and
has three interceptions on passes like that, which is tied
from motion the league. UM Josina Anderson said he also

(40:16):
has a hundred forty eight passes on those that are
ten yards are fewer right now. He has nine touchdowns
zero interceptions on passes like that, So I do think
it's an app point. This is Anderson reporting both an
unnamed players quotes and the stats to kind of back
up the idea of Carson Wentz forcing the ball downfield
too much. But this is where stats don't really tell

(40:40):
the story unless you tell all the stats. The Eagles
lead the league and drop passes Nelson Aghilar against the
against the Atlanta Falcons in his hands, zach Ertz in
his hands um. They lead the league in drop passes,
their offense third in the NFL in third down conversion percentage.

(41:03):
Which by the way, is like the most important number.
That in red zone percentage of the two most important ones,
and their their fourth in red zone touchdown conversion. So
those are the two most important deaths. That and and giveaways.
Their ninth in points per game. What's the problem? Twenty
three points per game given up defensively five most passing

(41:25):
touchdowns fourth most passing touchdowns. Remember week uh, they're loss
to the Falcons, Aglar dropped a wide open past that
would have won them the game. And in Week three
against the Lions, j Say j j R. Sega Whiteside,
the kid from Stanford dropped the four yr bomb that
went through on fourth and fifteen seconds remaining trailing by three.

(41:49):
The Falcons drop was Aglar I think a minute fifty
three to go on third down, wide open and by
the way, same game, Zach Hurts, you know, uh a
little comeback route that was like a yard short of
the sticks. Otherwise trailing by six, they got first and goal.
And remember their top five in league in red zone

(42:10):
touchdown conversion percent So what exactly are we talking about? Yeah,
you want to check it down, and yeah they've been
successful on checking down, but part of it is they
don't really have Deshaun Wattson're not Sewan Jackson to take
the top off the defense. So sometimes you gotta force
things to free things up. Like what are we really
talking about? The unnamed player who's the named player running

(42:35):
back was gonna get a checkdown? Is that what it is?
So we're dealing with here now now, it's it's just
it's a it's a quote that we were gonna blow
out of proportion because it's a big game, because it's
Whence against DAC, because the Eagles got their askalup last week.
You just heard Adam Kaplan joined us last hour Adam

(42:56):
Caplan's NFL Inside for Serious x M, and he said
a defensive code said they had eleven missed assignments, the
most those guys have ever seen, as coach had watched,
ever seen in one NFL game. Eleven missed assignments. That's
crazy town, USA numbers. That's really those are really crazy,
crazy numbers. So I understand that what happens with wins,

(43:20):
and this is what happens to everybody. You get that
big contract, we're gonna we're gonna evaluate you differently. That'd
become like a look at Jared Goff, Jerikof's offensive lines terrible,
Todd Gurley hadn't played last couple of weeks, and suddenly
by why did you get and and there were a
questions about Jaredof's contract when you gave him that contract,
but we're also coming off a year and when she

(43:41):
led the Rams to a super Bowl, and whatever you
think of the blown call in New Orleans, the Rams
did win the game on the road, and Jared goff
was their quarterback, didn't score an offensive touchdown the Super Bowl,
didn't play well. But considering he's in his what third
year in the league, last year, fourth year in the league,
this year, like he's trending to being an elite quarterback

(44:01):
end you want cost certainty, I would agree they probably
overpaid Jared goffin maybe he didn't have to pay Carson
Wentz so much money because those guys got those early
guaranteed deals. But when you have your guy, you lock
up your guy, you've got cost certainty that position. The
prices are only going up. And Carson Wentz unlike Jared Goff,
unlike Dak Prescott, unlike any of these other quarterbacks, as

(44:25):
outside of Pat Mahomes, who was the NFL's MVP. He
was gonna be the MVP the two years ago. Then
he towards a c L and they had the Super
Bowl hangover, he was coming back from injury. Offensive line
wasn't as good, defense wasn't as good, the outcome wasn't
as good. But the numbers would tell you that Carson
Wentz has been on target as much or more in
any quarterback in the league. He hadn't had to Sean Jackson,

(44:47):
he didn't have um all Sean Jeffrey early in the year,
and they're still competitive in spite of the fact that
they had leaguan drops. So what exactly we're talking about, Like,
if you think they're losing because of Carson Wentz, you
you have to either be watching you're not watching red

(45:09):
zone because the red zone conversion percentage the top five
in the league. I don't know what you're watching. I
don't I don't know what you're watching. They're losing because
their defensive backfield stinks. They're losing because they don't get
the quarterback like they used to. They're losing because they've
had a ton of drops and a ton of injuries
at positions where he's gonna throw them to the the football
that that's where they're losing. Has he been perfect? No,

(45:30):
No quarterback is perfect. I have searched for perfection yet
to find it. You know Pat Mahomes throws some picks, Well, oh,
he's got a bad ankle before he popped out his knee. Us,
I always got a bad ankle, Like, okay, he had
some injuries to The best guys are gonna look Aaron Rodgers.
You know they weren't good the first couple of weeks, right,
I mean, the best guys are the best guys for

(45:52):
a reason. Carson Wentz is one of the best guys.
You haven't figured that out yet. There's actually statistical analysis
that tells you he's playing like the best or one
of the top two or three quarterbacks in the entire
freaking league. And so whatever this unnamed player is, that's
just what happens when you're when you're the highest paid guy,
when you're the quarterback, when you're the golden child, you're

(46:13):
gonna have somebody who And it does feel like like, look,
the check it down thing feels like a swipe at him,
but the complexity thing feels like a swipe at the offense,
like they're they're trying to dall some stuff up, They're
trying to do some special stuff up because they feel
like they don't have the personnelity have those explosive plays.

(46:34):
I'm not saying with this in with any disrespect to
Josina Anderson's unnamed report. I'm just simply pointing out that
most of the stats belie the idea that Carson Wentz
isn't playing well and actually tell the story that the
wide receivers aren't playing well, that the defense isn't playing well,
and that feels like a more accurate depiction of what's

(46:55):
actually taking place. Doug Otlieve Show is brought to you

What does he think about the Cowboys and Eagles. We'll

(47:42):
Is this a trend for the future? Was that a
good trade for the Rams? Who should the Kancity Chiefs
reach out to or should they just roll with Matt
Moore and gets somebody else who knows the offense? All
that up coming next, be sure to catch the live
edition of The Doug gott Leap Show weekdays at three
m Easter noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the

(48:03):
I Heart Radio app. Doug ot leave schell, You're on
Fox Sports Radio. There's an expression in boxing, is that
no one walks out of the last fight, right, no
one walks out? Well, I think that's the case with c. C.
Sabathia last night with New York Yankees. You know, now,

(48:24):
in fairness, CC wasn't carried out like a fighter would
be carried out of a ring, but I mean for
all intensive purposes, Yeah, that's what happened. CC Sabathia pitched
uh his last game as a Yank. Look barring, barring
an unbelievable comeback. I mean there is a potential there,

(48:49):
But the Yankees removed c c from the roster of
the A l c S today, putting Ben Heller on there,
so he would not be able to to return for
the Yankees if they get to the World Series. So
he's done. His knee buckled and his shoulders seemed to
give out as he tried to get out of a
bases load of jam in the eighth inning of the

(49:09):
Astros eight three win. So he's he and Brett the Jet,
or Brett who used to be the Jet. We're the
last of the two thousand nine champion New York Yankees.
But but to go out like that with a partial
dislocation of his left shoulder joint, a left handed pitcher

(49:32):
to pitch, that would to go that way like that's
about his devastating and end this party. That's like that
is your body officially going I'm done. I'm done. It's
not a drop to Mike Moment's not Derek Jeter with
you know, five for five and a home run and
his three thousand hit like that, Oh no, that's not.

(49:55):
But kind of amazing that CC Sabathia a beloved baseball player.
I don't know anybody who does. Isn't um. Everyone likes
him to go out that way. That's a lot like
Muhammad Ali getting beat up in his last fight. And
I'm not saying he's as impactful as Muhammad Ali. I'm
just drawing the boxing comparison that no one walks out

(50:18):
of their last fight. And that's what happened last night
at Yankee Stadium. And you know that there's a little
bit of there's a little bit of what happened last
night and and what the Dodgers did. You know, you
try and give Clayton Kirk Claytonkershaw comes in, gets a strikeout,
gets you out of the seventh inning, like all right,
that's good, We're done. Great job, bro, shake hands, put

(50:41):
on the put on the jacket, and cheer for your team.
You try and give him more than he's capable of.
And that's that's what happens. That that that's what happens.
So the same with CC Samathea. You know who, he
did come in and get two outs, like let's let's
remember you got two outs, but he just had nothing left, man, nothing, nothing,

(51:05):
at all left and his body said no, Moss. And
you know the the Yankees are down eight link Yankees
lose eight three. They're down three games to one, and
this just appears to be let's and let's not go
crazy on starting pitching always wins, but the starting pitching
in the postseason, whoever had the better for starting pitching

(51:26):
has one. A little bit of trend there, but also uh,
kind of a bummer. Right. You thought all year the Yankees,
Dodgers and Yankees knew they're starting pitching. It wasn't probably
good enough, but they thought their hitting would be. The
Dodgers thought they're starting pitching would be good enough. The
question was their bullpen. And turns out one of their
starting pitchers end up being part of their bullpen. That
blew it. Alright, Let's get you to John middal Coffe,

(51:49):
who joins us three owns the podcast um has over
a million downloads. Over a million downloads of the three
Now podcast. You can download that in the Herd podcast Network.
He joins us in the Doug Golap Shop on Fox
Sports Radio. How big do you think that Pat Mahomes
injury is? It's pretty big from a big picture standpoint

(52:11):
from the NFL, I mean, he's one of the superstars
of the league. Uh. From a from a micro standpoint
of just the Chiefs. If it's not gonna be a
season ender, I don't know if it's as crazy just
because they're already five and two. They have three games
remaining against all three divisional opponents at Arrowhead and the Raiders.
Now the next couple of games they you know, I

(52:33):
don't think we'd all agree the Chiefs are better than
the Raiders. They kicked their butt when they played, but
with this Mahomes injury, there's a little life. But they
played the Packers and the Texans the next two games
on the road, so they could easily lose back to
back games, and the Chiefs have a little buffer being
five and two. So I think the question mark now
is can the Chiefs win one of these next two

(52:54):
games against either the Vikings or the Packers, both games
of Arrowhead somehow with Matt Moore, and then push off
Mahomes until after the bye so he basically could miss
four games, Like can they go two and two without
him till the bye week? So you basically give him
off this extra time right now? Then next week and
then then four straight weeks then a bye week and

(53:14):
you could get him back fully healthy the ankle and
the knee. But they avoided disaster clearly that it wasn't
a a c L or a broken blague or you know,
it was just a clean dislocation. Yes, but and and
you know this, Um, I think people one, they're gonna
be super extra costious because they're about to give him

(53:34):
more money than anybody's ever got in the NFL. To um,
even if you're back in your fine, when you pop
something out, it's likely to pop out again. Right. And
and the third thing is uh, is that he's everything
to them. Right. The defense isn't good like they play.

(53:56):
They have to. They play a style that they played
to score a lot of points because they have to
because their defense can't stop anybody. And they're about to
hit the meat of their schedule. Like, I feel like
this is a huge, huge injury to me. Their team
is talented enough. If again, this is never it was
a while ago now, but when Tanny Hill went down,

(54:17):
Matt Moore came in and led that team to the playoffs.
Now that's a long time ago. We we you know,
we've we've had some years between, and I saw James
Palmer tweet out he claimed he hadn't taken one single
rep with the starters. I mean, he was thinking about
being a scout like six months ago. So there's a
chance this guy is just terrible. It was hard to

(54:37):
the game was over when he came in even last night,
just because the Denver's offense was terrible. Now that they
easily could get their butt kick these next two weeks,
and my tone will change immediately, But I think coach
reads good enough. We'll see, you know. I would imagine
they're not gonna do something drastic because he is coming back,
like trade for Mariota or something. They'll just roll with

(54:59):
Matt Moore and et about trading what about trading for foals?
But his fulls healthy, you know, and the time that
he's like, he won't be ready till my homes is ready.
If Folds was healthy right now, I don't think that
would be crazy at all. Now here's where it would
get complicated because they gave him so much money. I
don't know if it would even you know, they have

(55:20):
the salary cap space if Jacksonville. That's the other thing
Jacksonville gave him such a big signing bonus that it's
like we already paid it and we're just gonna trade
him away for not much. I don't know if it
makes sense. And we'll see if if Gardner, you know,
can maintain the play that he had his first couple
of weeks, I would be my guest would be the
role at least a couple of games with more and
see what he's got. What do you think of the uh,

(55:45):
the Jail and Ramsey trade. Uh? You know my first reaction.
I'm never against trading, and I think about this in
baseball too, and I which the Giants to do this
more often, trading prospects for elite players. I'm always okay
with doing that. And that's what Jalen Ramsey is. He's
an elite player. I think the problem is in football,

(56:07):
and like baseball where you don't have a salary cap,
is that you do have a salary cap in the NFL,
and their salary cap is a little unique because they've
already paid multiple max contracts. Aaron Donald's worth every penny.
Todd Gurley, in theory, was worth every penny until he
no longer was a good Todd Gurley, and I think
the bigger albatross might be Jared Goff. I like Jared Goff,

(56:30):
like them since Cal but the game a ten million dollars.
I would have liked that number to be. And maybe
I'm unrealistic and I get quarterback contracts like eight five
million dollars like Jared. It's clear you need help, and
we've proven we'll do everything to help you. But you
take a hundred ten million dollars, you make us a
little more complicated. Now. I was told a couple of
days ago. This This changes it a little bit for me.

(56:53):
Is that Jalen and his representation maybe he's maybe this
has already come out too, but they're okay. Playing next
year on the fifth year option would just still high.
It's thirteen point seven. But they don't need to get
that Khalil Mack Aaron Donald contract until after the year,
which I think is kind of stupid, because I mean's football.
At any moment, you're lad could snap, your career coulden.
You're in position to capitalize right now. The number is

(57:16):
clearly going to be really high. But I guess they
told the Rams that, and that that helped the Rams
make this decision because this year it doesn't necessarily matter
because they're in the season, but next year, in the
off season, they're gonna have, you know, like fifties six percent.
I did the math a couple of days ago. Invested
in five players Jared Gopp, Brandon Cooks, Todd Gurley, Aaron Donald,

(57:37):
and Jalen Ramsey. And to me, only two of those
five players are worth their money, and that's Jalen Ramsey
and Aaron Donald. Jared Goff is not right now. Brandon
Cooks is fine, but he's not a seventeen million dollar
a year wide receiver. That's what he's making next year.
And Todd Gurley is just not the same guy. So
they just have some economic problems, you know. They just

(57:58):
they're just against the cap to improve their team, which
Seattle is gonna have some wiggle room, and and the
Niners aren't going away. That's the other thing. Their division
is good. So it's it's I get it from a
business standpoint, and you know, bill board and getting a
sweet player and people in l A care and I
get that, But from a football standpoint, I don't know.
I think it's gonna be a challenge. Well, what about

(58:19):
does it make him a playoff team, Well, I think
these next couple of weeks are going to determine, Like
if the Packers keep rattling off wins and the Vikings
keep rattling off wins, they're just you know, in the
Niners in Seattle keep winning. There's only so many spots.
And if if the Niners in Seattle, you know, are
clearly headed towards ten eleven win teams, they've already beat

(58:42):
both teams, beat the Rams. And if the NFC North
is going to get two teams out, even with Philly
and Dallas, kind of proving that only one of those
two teams are gonna make it, how did the Rams?
The Rams are gonna have to go on a streak
where they win like seven of eight, and you could argue, well,
you know they've done it before. I I don't know, Doug.
I'm just watching this team, and they don't look when

(59:03):
when you can't block, as you saw last night, it's
just it'd be like it'd be like a point guard
that can't dribble, Like you can't even function, you know.
And they they their tackles are okay, but their gardens
cent they can't block anyone up the middle. And so
many teams in the NFL now have capable inside path rushers.
They can just destroy you. And Jared Goff he is

(59:27):
your old school, like Eli Manning type guy. He's just
kind of a stiff in the pocket and when he
has time, he's fine. But when he doesn't, it's it's
it's a rap. And that's what you know. A lot
of people were kind of making fun of it on
social media, like this, this doesn't fix their offensive. Limetell
got show here on Fox Sports Radio. Uh. That that's
the voice of John Middlecoff. Three and Out is in

(59:48):
fact the podcast, which you can download on the Herd
podcast network. All right, let's let's let's get to the
Cleveland Browns. Is training for Trent Williams. The answer, Uh,
it wouldn't hurt. I just I think Dan Snyder and
those guys are that petty did They're not gonna do it,
so I I think that's just a pipe dream and

(01:00:10):
they're just gonna let it go down with the ship
and he's just gonna stay holding out for the entire season.
Maybe in the off season. I would imagine the Browns,
regardless of what happens this year, we'll be at the
front of the line. But I doubt he gets traded
this year. I'd be actually shocked if he gets traded. Okay,
so how do you fix the Browns in the meantime? Well,
you don't. I mean, they're just they're kind of screwed

(01:00:31):
back to the rams. When you can't block, you can't block,
and once the season starts, there's no like you just
don't add you know, starting guards and centers, they don't exist.
You know, maybe you elevate a gun on the practice
squad and he's better than the guy you're starting. But
you're just your groups, the group. You know, no team
is unless you know, like you said, if Trent Williams,
they get a hail Mary there, Yeah, but it probably

(01:00:52):
costs him a first and a second round pick. So
then you get Trent Brown. How do you improve your
guards and centers next year? Like in the draft, you know,
it's just it's like a credit card, you know, you
kinda you eventually gotta pay. And I think that it's
just gonna be an off season priority for them to
build up there their offensive line. And this year, you know,
like a lot more pressure on Freddie Kitchens, like you've

(01:01:12):
got to get this guy rolling I actually think the
bigger issue Doug is their quarterback, especially last week against Seattle,
is I thought Freddie was bad against the Niners. I
thought the Seattle game was on Baker his inaccuracy. You know,
some of those picks are like behind guys sitting their hand.
He's just he hung his hat on on accuracy. What happened?

(01:01:32):
Is this a confidence thing? Maybe maybe it's just pressure.
I mean he is, for as cocky as he is,
he is a young human. I mean he's got to
be feeling some of this pressure for carrying an NFL
franchise like the one thing he had at Oklahoma. And
you know this better than anyone. That program is just loaded.
I mean, how many didn't he I mean all five

(01:01:54):
of the guys that were his offensive line all got drafted.
They're all in the NFL. And then obviously the skill
guy speak for themselves, so that he had such an advantage,
just a little Matt liner ish not. I think he
was a really good college player, and he was. He
was better like for an NFL prospect standpoint, but he
does not look good right now. It's like he doesn't

(01:02:15):
have confidence where the ball is going when it leaves
his hand and that that was the number one thing
I thought when he was coming out, like his comparison
was like, you know, a stronger arm, Drew Brees, he
was gonna pick you apart. And he's just not doing
that right now on the place that are there when
they are blocked up right, And that's that you can't
win because Baker Baker's not when he runs away, it
drives me nuts. Like Baker stopped running away from these

(01:02:37):
defensive linemen. They're gonna catch you. Throw the ball away
like you're you're not a runner, so stop. He tries
to leave the pocket. That is not his game. He
Drew Brees doesn't run away, He just gets rid of
the ball or just false. And I think that he
has so much growth. And I don't know if Freddie
Kitchens can't even think like that because they're living day
to day trying to win this game. I think they
got problems. John milcoff our guest three and Out is

(01:03:00):
the podcast. He's the former NFL scout. He joint us
in the Doug Oatlet Show on Fox Sports Radio, an
unnamed Eagle player says, sometimes, essentially, sometimes you're trying to
do too much. Why not just check the ball down.
It feels like criticism Carson Wentz. I feel like Carson
Wentz is the one actually playing well in this team.
I think Carson Wentz has been fantastic. I watched a

(01:03:20):
little bit of Doug's press conference this morning. He laughed,
He's like, I've heard a million criticisms over the years
of we're throwing the ball deep, we're throwing the ball
too much. I've never heard of we need to check
the ball down, that's the first I would agree. I don't.
I don't think I've ever heard that either. I think
they just need to catch the ball like Nelson magilor
when the ball comes out, you've got to catch the
football or take a whiteside or whoever the ball is,

(01:03:43):
that they have to catch the football. I I think
Carson Wentz has proven, unlike Jared Goff, that like, yeah,
that's the type talent you take a swing on for
a hundred plus million dollars. Uh. I you know, de
Sean Jackson's had this you know, quad or whatever injury
for seven weeks and that's you know, hurt their ability

(01:04:04):
and I just you know, they can't stop anybody like
they're scoring there. I saw Usa. This week, they're scoring
more points they did last year. It's it's their secondary
is hideous. I mean they can't they can't cover anybody,
let alone the good players where they have no chance
to cover them. I their problem is not offensive defense.
Are you more of a buyer into the Packers now? Oh? Yeah,

(01:04:26):
they're pretty good. I'm still you know, I don't know
what the head coach is doing as much because I
feel like Aaron's playing at a high level and he's
kind of doing his own thing and the defense is rolling. Uh,
not that the head coach is doing a bad job,
but like they haven't really needed them yet, which is fine.
Their personnel is good. Uh. Now they play the Raiders
this week, which is kind of tricky, you know. I

(01:04:47):
mean they're coming off a short week the Packers are,
and the Raiders are coming off a bye, and they're
playing well and they're running the ball. I would expect
the Packers to kind of kick their butt. But you know,
Will Stevens hope the Green Babe win this game. You're
six and one. You're six and one, I mean that's
it feels like you're headed on a straight path to
about twelve and four. Thirteen and three, and then you
can't really deny that they're kind of back. And I

(01:05:09):
wouldn't want to play Rodgers in the playoffs, even if
him and the head coach aren't exactly like bfs, right,
I mean it just he can just take over it anymore.
I think he's been awesome in the last month, So
even with a bunch of random play. Yeah, I'm starting
to believe in Green Bay. What happened to the Atlanta
Falcons defense, that's a good question. I saw Balding or

(01:05:30):
tweet something out about a goal line stand and they
had everyone on the wrong side, and David Johnson just
walked right in. When you're head coach, the defensive guy
and you're just getting smoked every week defensively, it's just time.
You know, it's it's it's over. You know, it's if
it wasn't official before last week, you was the Arizona
That's that's pretty bad. Uh. You just you're gonna have

(01:05:52):
a new coach next year, and that doesn't necessarily mean
it's a lot to change anything, but they just stand Quinn,
time has kind of run its course. Yeah, but I mean,
just it it. The collapse is stunning, right, I'm just
they had one quarterback hit in the last two weeks
one and everybody was hitting. Everybody's hitting Arizona, and now

(01:06:15):
they can't so well. And and like on paper, they
they still have some decent defensive players, right the middle
linebacker is a good player. The corners, I mean, Marcus
true Font was once thought about pretty highly. They've drafted
some guys high in the first round on the defensive line,
so it's not like they're just playing with, you know,

(01:06:36):
nine undrafted free agents. They have some name guys that
are making some good cash and just getting beaten like
a drum every week. And you know that owner, You're right,
I mean from three the fall from Grace over the
next several years has been pretty eye opening. John middle
cof guest me now is the podcast? Um Obviously the

(01:06:57):
time from Marcus Mariota in Tennessee is over. Is he
a starting quarterback in this league? I would typically say yes,
But you just look around the NFL, so many teams
either have an established older guy or have young drafted guys.
In the last four or five years, there aren't as
many open spots, like are the Bengals just gonna get

(01:07:19):
rid of Dalton for Mariota are the do the Dolphins
even want to win? You know, if they draft to
he wouldn't go there, Like, where where's a spot? I
just he's definitely gonna be in the league for a while.
I just don't think the starting spot is a lot.
And I also wonder if he takes a step back
and goes do I want to be like Mahomes backup

(01:07:40):
or Russell Wilson's backup for a year or two, boost
my stock back up, and then make a make a
return to grace like that? That might be the move.
You know, I think guys have done it before. Uh
you go play like to me the move if if
Coach Reid were to call you, hey, we want you
to be Mariota's back or Mahome's backup. We'll give you
a two year deal about three or four million dollars
a year. I'll get you playing good football again. And

(01:08:03):
then we've seen this happen time and time again. Then
all of a sudden, Oh, Mariot has got his confidence back.
He's making plays in the preseason, and hell, maybe they
trade him. You know, I think that's probably the move
instead of going again. I don't even think the bad
team has really exists. Like where what team needs a
quarterback next year? Beside the teams they're probably gonna draft

(01:08:23):
and Miami, Miami needs one. I mean, the Redskins have
the rookie, but dude, nobody thinks he a lot of
a lot of people don't think he can play at all. Um,
who else needs I mean, I think the Chargers are
ultimately gonna need one. I think that's there's a team
that people haven't people are talking about they need a quarterback.

(01:08:45):
Well he's a free agent, right, so yeah, I mean
that one's a They're gonna have to be something like
I'm I'm a Mariotta who they can they can refresh
a little bit. Well that's then that there's more than
you think when you when when you stop right, Um,

(01:09:06):
like I mean, I I hear he said, like do
the Jags have a long term solution there? The Bengals
have their term solution? Well, the Jacks did give you know,
folds a lot of money and they got Minshew. I
think the Chargers actually a good one. Is there any
chance that they just let Philip Rivers walk or there
is that zero they don't so he'll be the starting
quarterback Denver. Denver's gonna need a quarterback. They did just

(01:09:29):
draftru Lock high in the second round and we haven't
seen them play snaps, But they didn't invest some capital
and a guy. That's all I'm saying is is most
of these teams, like you're right, I don't know, Drew
Lock might be terrible, but the guys like him are
all around the league that teams didn't vest something in. Uh. Now,
there are some teams like the Steelers that have Roethlisberger
that Tommy John that you're gonna need a quarterback more

(01:09:51):
than likely Mason's any good the Chargers. But then if
you do, if you're the Charger of the Steelers and
you're interested in Mariota, are you giving him as he's
in clearly the backup? Is he better off going for
a team that, like, I don't know, it's a tough situation.
Would you just pick in the number one coach that
can like resurrect you, like a Sean Payton or Andy Reid,

(01:10:12):
Like That's what I'm trying to do. If I'm Mariota,
get in the situation that Teddy Bridgewater got into Matt Nage.
Maybe in Matt Magan maybe in Chicago, And yeah, that's
that's not that's not a bad one. That's that's that's
the team I forgot about after this week. I mean,
Robisky looks terrible. Assuming he plays. Uh, they're gonna have
a legitimate quarterback problem on their hands. Three now is

Every single day at this time, we uh, we pick

(01:11:16):
Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports One. Don't we call it
Fox Say? This is Urban Meyer, former Florida or Ohio
State Utah Bowling green head coach, current analyst on I
think he's the best studio analysts in college football. It's
just first year doing the Big Neon Show on Fox
being asked about Lincoln. Was that first asked about Lincoln

(01:11:38):
Riley potentially taking the Cowboys job leaving Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley,
I suggested this week, Dallas Cowboy jobs different. Jerry Jones
is hired, Jimmy Johnson out of college, and Barry sweatshirt
and one super Bowls. That's a big job. Okay. Do
you think Lincoln Riley, even with as great as Oklahoma is,
that's a great job. Would he consider leaving for the Cowboys?

(01:12:03):
Pure speculation because he's not I don't I know him,
but I don't know him like that. But that's the one,
you know, that's the New York Yankees, that's the Dallas Cowboys.
That's the one great city. You got Dak Prescott, you
got Zeke Kelly, you got loaded team, you know. And
I can't speak for him, obviously. I hate to even
speculate because I don't know him. That's really not fair.
But to me, that's the one job in professional football

(01:12:24):
you kind of say, I gotta go do that had
you been called by the Cowboys, I have not, but
if you would have been, you you just spent a
couple of days with it. Sure, absolutely absolutely one, Okay,
fair enough. Yeah, Hey, listen, I'm not in the market
for a job, but I'm just telling you, if they
called me about that job, I would take that job

(01:12:45):
because it's that good a job, right, I mean, that
was amazing, But it also tells me a couple of things.
One or by our coach again too, I agree with
him on the Dallas Cowboys. Right, that's a you got uh,
you gotta, you gotta take it. Three. I I also
thought that urban and I think he didn't mean to,

(01:13:09):
but he did. He did it, and he he didn't
really clean it up. You don't ever talk about taking
a job that's currently occupied, right, like that's that That's
a that's a big one for coaches. It's a big
one for coaches. You don't go like, yeah, I want
your job that you currently are because it it undercuts
anybody trying to get it. And I don't actually think

(01:13:29):
I Remyer thought of it in the way that we're
thinking about it. Hey, he just said he would take
the job, but It's impossible not to, isn't it. It's
impossible not to make that connection. So the question is
does he think of USC along the same lines? Does
he have the same affinity for USC? And the history

(01:13:50):
considering he did coach at Ohio State? Is that one
you gotta take a look at, you essentially have to
take and and that we don't know that he wasn't
asked about, and I'm not sure he would moment on
And maybe the reason he wouldn't comment on is because
you don't comment on jobs that are currently occupied. But
he just did that with the Cowboys, so I guess
that violated that to begin with. Anyway, UM, I guess

(01:14:16):
my question on Meyer being a good NFL head coach
would be, well, what his offensive philosophy has been? Really
a college collegiate one? Do I think he's a good
leader of men? Sure? Do I think that he hires
good assistance? Absolutely? I don't know enough about schematically, defensively, offensively,
but I do know that his his quarterbacks by and

(01:14:36):
large have not succeeded in the pros and um and
you know, the system is more of a college system.
That doesn't mean he couldn't evolve or he couldn't hire
up a big time offensive coordinator. But is that what
he's about? I don't know, Lincoln Riley. It's also interesting,
you know, we he's taken college football by storm, and

(01:14:59):
the thought is that we look at what he did
with Baker Mayfield, Look what he did with Kyler Murray.
But if Baker Mayfield doesn't succeed and Kyler Murray, though,
I think he's a little better than Baker Mayfield is
a thrower, he's not a stunning success. Doesn't he become
just another college offense right? Doesn't he become another air
raid guy? And the air raide doesn't transfer? So I translate,
so I I don't think it's as much of a

(01:15:21):
no brainer for Lincoln Riley as Summer leading you to believe.
And the other part is, and this is not a
bad thought, but it's an honest one, which is, Hey,
you know, um, aren't you better off at Oklahoma? Right?
Like in Oklahoma you have better players than the other
team nine times and ten aren't you better off that way?

(01:15:43):
And maybe maybe it's the Hey, I want the challenge
of coaching in the National Football League? Okay, do you
can have the challenge of it? But I I also
think in terms of lifestyle where you are with your family,
do you want to compete for a championship every year?
Like in the NFL they all like of it up,
competing for a championship every year is very very slim.

(01:16:04):
In college football, you can be for a championship every
year at the elite programs. So not necessarily better or worse,
it's just just very very different. Say uh, I don't
know if you're a half empty or a half full guy.
When you look at stories, do you try and take
the positive of it? I tell people all the time,

(01:16:25):
like or my kids, even what's the silver lining to
the story? You know, what's the silver lining? I just
got a note that my daughter hasn't retaken a test.
She told me she retook a week and a half ago.
I'm upset, but the silver lining is at least I
talked to the teachers enough to know when she doesn't
retake a test. I'm usually a glass half old guy,

(01:16:47):
but what happened last night to the Chiefs leaves me
half empty. I'll explain up coming next why the Chiefs
and the injury to Mahomes though, see me, Lee Minor
is a huge setback for their season. We'll explain next

I hope you're ready to have a great weekend. World
Series may be set by the end of tonight as
the Yankees trying to just find a way to win
one game at home and extend the series. That's on
Fox Sports One, Big Night on Big Night on Fox right.
Fox Sports one has Astros Yankees. The Big Ten network,

(01:17:56):
which we have Fox do own has northwestern Ohio state,
so that moves that moves from Fox Sports One. Um,
Justin Verlander against James Paxton. That feels like a mismatch,
doesn't it. But Verlander wasn't classic ver Landard last time out.
So we'll see the Yankees just trying to win a

(01:18:17):
game Houston, a big favorite tonight at the stadium that
would end the a LCS. That would set up a
World Series between the Astros and the Nationals. Starting pitching galore,
Let's get to the story of last night, which I
think is gonna be the story of the really the
next six eight weeks of the season. Pat Mahomes had
a dislocated kneecap trying to get a quarterback sneak right

(01:18:40):
around the goal line for the Kansas City Chiefs. The
Chiefs end up thumping the Denver Broncos, who couldn't block
them come block. I mean, as much as we want
to pick apart the Chiefs defense and what they didn't
do the two previous weeks, they did do last night,
getting after Joe Flacco. Flacco constantly under dress and look

(01:19:02):
look like regular season Joe Flacco. Right. Uh, the the
Broncos got behind earlier, down twenty six and a half,
I don't even think that changed our game plan that much.
The only run for seventy one yards and Chiefs get
the win. But but the but the Mahomes injury, and look,
Mahomes wasn't killing the world's ten of eleven seventy six yards.

(01:19:24):
Picking him apart game did feel like, Uh it was
a mismatch. He ends up dislocating his knee cap and
I'm guessing Ramos Ramos is a lookaway guy, right, he
didn't he didn't want to see the knee cap pop
back in. I couldn't get enough of it. I've watched
it fifty times on replay. Pop that thing back in,

(01:19:45):
Pop like, yes, yes, pop that knee back in. That's
who I am. But when you see and then you
see Pat Mahomes walk off and he tells his coach,
I'm RMB all right, and then today the m R
I like, oh, you know, the best possible scenario. Wait,
best possible scenario is your star quarterback doesn't get hurt. Right,
that's the best possible scenario. This is the best of

(01:20:07):
the worst possible scenario. Bad news is he heard his knee.
Good news is it ain't a season ender. We don't think.
But of course they're the Cancie Chiefs were set, by
most people's estimation to give Pat Mahomes the biggest contract
we've ever seen at the position. Right, and now his
knee just pops out. You're like, oh, no, it's good,

(01:20:29):
just pop back in now. I can never remember which
was Riggs and which was Murtalk? Was Danny Glover? Riggs
was Danny Glover? Murtalk? Okay, so Danny Glover was Murtalk
And that means um uh mel Gibson was Riggs and
I don't know if you remember, do you guys? Are

(01:20:49):
am I too old? Like Ramos was sitting there nodding
his head. I see him. Yeah. Now lethal weapon was
Buddy Cop Movie one oh one Leith Weapon fours when
it really got good. They had Joe Pesci and Chris
Rock but leave the weapon was really good. Riggs used
to get himself in a jam and then get himself
out of a jam by popping his shoulder out of socket. Right,

(01:21:11):
so that was gonna be like his go to move
like Steph Curry's go to moves to step back. Riggs
go go to move was popping his shoulder at his side.
That that's not mahomes go to move and they're like, oh,
we popped his shoulder out. He's fine now, don't worry
about him. In the next scene, this is a two
million dollar quarterback, mostly because of his arm, but some
because of his legs. And when a knee pops out

(01:21:34):
that easily and pops back in that easily, no matter
what other damage was done, the thought in your mind is, well,
it means it's gonna happen again, right, Alright, I mean,
everybody else is in there going like yeah, like the
guy who pops out of shoulder, CC popped out his
shoulder pitching last night. Don't you think next time he pitches,
he's not gonna pitch anymore, But next time he throws
a pitch to his kid, he's gonna worry about popping
it out again. Of course we know how how how

(01:21:58):
joints work, how Sutton's not just sockets, but but hinge joints.
Let's a hinge joint, isn't it. You're near hinge jo.
I think your need is a hinge joint. Now those work,
and it feels like the easier they pop out and
pop back in, they're gonna pop out and pop back
in again. So you're gonna get a Maxter. So now
you talk about they have the tenth hardest schedule remaining, um,

(01:22:20):
the next two home games are really tough. You still
have to go to New England. They got Green Bay
at home, Like Tennessee is a road game. And as
much as we think of Tennessee is a bad team,
maybe he's changing quarterbacks reinvigorates them and like, look, the
fall off to Matt Moore is gigantic gigantic. There are

(01:22:43):
just throws that Pat Mahomes can make that no one
else can make, and that caused you to have to
defend not just Pat Mahomes, but Tyreek killed differently because
you have the ultimate weapon and the ultimate weapon to
throw to the ultimate weapon. So I'm normally a half
full guy. I'm normally like, ah, we back, he's he's injured,

(01:23:03):
not hurt. But it's not an a c L. It's
not a hip. He didn't shred his knee, he didn't
Alex Smith it like, he'll be all right. But this
is a year in which the a f C, I mean,
who from the f C South scares you? Houston, we
did see them beat a bang deb Kansas City team

(01:23:24):
New England scares you, especially with their defense, but maybe
it's not as much as their offense. Nobody else in
the West really like. This is a year which Kansas
City was close. Last year lined up off sides could
have gotten there. And now I'm just wondering, Um, I'm
just wondering if they make the playoffs. He misses four games,

(01:23:46):
You tell me the game that they win with Matt
Moore at quarterback. Matt Moore was gonna be a high
school coach before he got the call. This year, Vikings
at home, Packers at home, Vikings at home, Titans on
the road, Chargers at home, extuming Argers in Mexico City
right then the Raiders. Then they go to the Patriots
for the finish up. Broncos at Bears, Chargers at home

(01:24:08):
with the team they lost through last year, and that
could be for the division. Maybe I think higher of
the Chargers their ability to bounce back. Maybe I think
less of Matt more than I should, who was a
good quarterback with the Dolphins. Is a solid, smart, steady
back up, and they have a bunch of weaponry around him.
But I I look at knee injuries and I understand

(01:24:31):
that Pat mahomes career is one of the Kansas City
Chiefs want to pay for for the next fifteen years.
They're not rushing him back like it wouldn't stock me
at all. If you hear a story a month from now.
Pat Molmes is fine, he's ready, but the Chiefs want
to be extra cautious. They're gonna keep out a couple
more weeks, and the whole thing is built around him.

(01:24:51):
You know, the defense can can give up points. Why
because he can make him back. The offense can run
the routes that they run. Why because he can make
it up. Look, the same exact offense is being run
by the Chicago Bears. How good is their offense? What's
the difference? Well, some of its personnel of wide receivers,
but a lot of it is the trigger man. And

(01:25:14):
while Matt Moore may be more accurate than Mitstrobinsky, the
point is the difference between Pat Mahomes and Matt Moore,
not Mahomes and Troubisky. You know, they haven't had a
run game since what was it midseason last year? I

(01:25:34):
mean think about like they went out got Lashawn McCoy.
Shady has three hundred and twenty two yards rushing so
far in the season and we're through seven games. There
my homes there, secondly in a rusher Darryl Williams seventy
six yards, Like, think about that. No run game, no problem.

(01:25:55):
We have Mahomes, no defense, no problem. We have my homes.
Tyreek Hill runs you know it takes the top off
a defense. No problem. We have Mahomes and the Chiefs
fans will go through those five stages of grief, right,
like denial last night, like, oh, look what we're fine
without him? Anger? What is Andy Reid doing sneaking with

(01:26:18):
Pat Mahomes? Like, I get it, But Ali did was
dive forward, something Tom Brady has done for twenty years
and never been heard on. There's a little bit of bargaining,
right Maybe they're in stage three right now, which is bargaining. Hey,
we go out and get Cam or Mariota, maybe Nick
Foles if he's healthy, and then what's next is depression

(01:26:41):
because they got the Packers, you know, the Packers up
coming next week, and then eventually be acceptance. But I
can't see cheese fans rightfully and fantasy fans rightfully going
through the five stages of grief because I think my
homes is gonna be out twice as long as they
say out of precaution, because of the popping out of
the thing out of socket, and because of the contract.

(01:27:01):
He's surely gonna get t J. Hushman's out is gonna
join me upcoming next, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver.
I'll get his sense of how the Kancity chief season
changes with their quarterback being hurt for at least a
couple of games. Plus uh Marcus Mariotta, will he ever
play quarterback in the NFL? The Jalen Ramsey Trade Cowboys

(01:27:23):
Eagles preview a lot to get to. I'll come next.
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Doug
Gottlieb Show weekdays at three p m. Easter noon Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app
Doug Gottlieb Show Fox Sports Radio. T J. Hudgmans out
his former Pro Bowl wide receiver with since Sati Bengals.

(01:27:45):
You can hear him every Saturday one pm Eastern Time
to ten and ten am Pacific, alongside the legend Steve
Hartman right here on Fox Sports Radio. He joins us
on the Doug Gottlieb Show. Let's start with the Jail
and Ramsey trade. Um, rams have some issues, wenter back
among them. But to go and get, you know, top
of the market, trade away two first round picks in
the fourth round pick considering they didn't really fix their

(01:28:08):
offensive line or they traded for a guard. But what's
your reaction to the trade itself? Personally? I love it.
And he's getting crawled right into the fire. You're about
to face Julio Jones and Matt Ryan and the falcons
at offenses like hitting on all cylinders right now, and
so he's getting round into the fire. I really like

(01:28:29):
the move because the rounds defenses they haven't been as
good as they have in years past. But now you
get a guy that you know or you hope can
shut down one side of the field. You can keep
a guy in the box and not really worried about
that side of the field and getting beat over the top.
How good is he at worst? He's the top three

(01:28:51):
corner in the league at worst. You know what that
what people don't realize is his belief in himself makes
him just as good mentally as he is physically. That
that unfiltered belief he has in himself. It goes along
when he believes you the best. And so when he
matches up with a guy when you and you notice

(01:29:11):
or transport man, that's self belief that goes a long way,
It really does. I mean, I guess you know my
issue is long term. Boy. You know you got all
that money locked into like five dudes, and we don't
know what Todd Gurley is long term. I don't think
Brandon Cooks is worth what he's paid long term. And

(01:29:33):
and Jared Goff has to have everything around him right
in order to be anywhere near as valuable as he's paid.
I mean, you you gotta pay somebody, Like I hear people,
oh man, the round the paying it. You got to
pay somebody, and that somebody is normally your best players.
You have to pay somebody. And so you look across
the lead. For the most part, every team pays their players,

(01:29:58):
just a matter of how they allocate their money and
who do they allocate it and give it too. And so, yeah,
they have Aaron Donna high player. You got Jared Golf.
He's not the high pay quarterback. He kind of just
slotted in where the quarterback position slides you in a
is Brandon Cooks. Does he deserve what? You guess? You
could say no, but in about another year or two,

(01:30:21):
that contexts on being a pretty good contract for a
quote unquote number one receiver. And so I don't mind
it at all, because you have to pay somebody, and
when you you ca t j ashmans Onto joining us
on the Dug Out Lip Show Fox Sports Radio. I
watched Pat Mahomes go down, and I don't think it's
a major, long term debilitating injury, but I think it'll

(01:30:44):
be treated with kid gloves, right, Like, here's the dude
about to get the biggest contract in the history of
the sport. Even if he's ready in three weeks, they're
gonna hold him ount six. And you look at their schedule.
T J. It is a bear and they're a team
completely built around him. Can they survive without Pat Mahomes
That's gonna be interesting when you and when you're a

(01:31:05):
franchise quarterback, when you're a generational quarterback like Pat Mahomes is,
the team should be built around here, like, oh, they're
so relying on Pats of the Homes, they should be
like he has that type of talent, they should be
relying on him. Now, with that being said, I look
at the schedule. You bring them back after the bye
week when they played the Raiders. That's five weeks. If

(01:31:27):
he's ready to go. If he's not, you don't bring
them back. Nobody's playing this time of the season at
the NFL, um still in a healthy everybody's banged up.
If he's good enough and he's not going to put
himself out there for another injury or kind of make
that worse, you put him out there in play, especially
if you're still in contentions. Yeah. The problem though is

(01:31:51):
that you know you want intoviewr your quarterback for ten years,
not for just this year. And so while everybody's banged up,
you're worried about that thing up them back out, aren't
you now? And that's what I say. If if what
has been reported is true, oh no more further damage
can be done. He just disokated his need pay up
no ligament, damnit. If that is true, He's gonna come

(01:32:13):
back and play this here, we're athletes, and when I say, well,
i'm talking you and I if you know how you feel,
if you're good enough to play, you're going to get
out there and play. If they were on in twelve,
Pat Mahomes would want to play. It would be on
the team to hold him out. If they lose every
game that he's out, they would still have a chance

(01:32:35):
depending on what that division is doing. And right now,
the Raiders would be the best team in the vision.
If Kansas City was a falter, you still have a chance.
And so if he's healthy, you gotta plan. Dallas Cowboys
are going to get there. Their tackles back, and it
looks like they're gonna get Amory Cooper back. Is it

(01:32:57):
as simple as when they have their dudes, they'll be
a expposed to offense or was there something else that's missing?
I like I like Dallas Doug I really do. Like
they've been hurt. But when you look at it, there's
a number two offense in the NFL, Like, who wouldn't
take that? You look at for the however many years,
oh Man are offensive things? Oh Man are office during

(01:33:20):
the ball there are the number two offense in the
NFL behind the number one offense that nobody would guess
as the Baltimore Ring. Offensively, the Dallas Calibois are getting
it done. Offensively is where they've taken a step back.
And so if he's getting those guys that get Tire's
miss actually allowed coments back to go to Maria Cooper,

(01:33:41):
this could be a great game this weekend against the
Eagles because now he has his full deck of cards,
so to speak, and so she gets very interesting. Are
you a buyer in the Packers? I like the Packers.
I'm a buyer if Davante Adams can come back healthy
because he's one of the best receivers in the week,
could be one on one coverage. But if he can't

(01:34:02):
come back and beat himself, I am not a buyer
because Aaron Rodgers literally was just dropping the ball right there.
If they throwing me balls like that, I could still
play and troubly. He made it so easy. All you
have to do is just put your hands up and
don't let the ball hit the ground. That defense is
really good. And as long as you can get Davante

(01:34:23):
Adams back healthy, because he would come back and that
toll still not be right. But if you tell me, yeah,
I buy the Packers all the way. Yeah, I tend.
I tend to buy um as well. Doug Gotlips show
rolls on. That's the voice of former Pro Bowl wide
receiver t J. Hush Manzada. He joins us here um.
The Minnesota Vikings have opened up their offense past two weeks,

(01:34:43):
dealing two weeks ago last week, Uh they end up
Uh then I'm getting kind of everybody happy, especially you
know they're they're most talented threats and Stefan Digs. Are
you a buyer into the Vikings? Now they're throwing the
ball downfield. Its interesting because it's Mike Zimmer. He wants
to run the ball Mike Zimmer as hard as they come.

(01:35:04):
He can care less what you say. You keep saying
that he's gonna say something to you like to shut
them out. That's just how them is. He wants to
run the ball, but you have because you can't be
one dimension on the NFL. You can't. You know, they
started off the season just coming people on a run.
They don't take that away them. And so when you
pay Kirk Cousin, when you give him a guaranteed contract
and you have feeling in big, you have to use

(01:35:28):
all your weapons. And so am I a buyer? I
need to see more. I need to see if such
with Kirk. I need to see Kirk Cousins winning prime
times when they're not just one game getting me two
WS in prime time, and then I'm a believer it
sells in. Uh, it's the hung jury. I'm not convinced.

(01:35:49):
I like the I like the hung jury. See you
you're talking about Matt Ryan's offense. What happened to the
Falcons defense? They're terrible, dude, that is I have no
idea Like Dan Quinn, you come from pet Crow, You're
a defensive guy. You take over all the defensive plate. Colleague,
It's pitiful, man, this is awful. Like gets something, dude,

(01:36:12):
people are talking about. Oh it is Jason Gareth, don't
get fired? Oh is this like dan Quinn? Like the
Falcons offense and Matt Ryan has been money. They're putting
up points, they're moving the ball, he's not turning it over,
and they're still losing. That defense is awful. I don't
know what they're doing down. I have no idea. It's crazy.

(01:36:35):
One quarterback hit the past two weeks and Arizona was
on a on a pace to give up a record
number of sacks, and nobody nobody hit Kyler Murray. I
mean nobody touched him. Really kind of really kind of
remarkable robby quarterback. And you loose. I mean it's some
have to get figured out. You. Yeah, you should have
won the Super Bowl. You didn't. Yeah, you've been there,

(01:36:58):
but you fired everybody. You can't find anybody else. You
technically blamed everybody else for the misfortunes of the Atlanta Falcons.
Talking dan Quinn, Now, do you blame the guy that
you're look in the mirror and see every morning because
you let everybody else go? It has to fall on you. Now,
how much of the Titans issues following Marcus Mariota. Well,

(01:37:21):
to be to be fair, I think we're gonna find
that out in the next couple of weeks to the
three weeks. If I mean, Tanny Hill went there, didn't score,
but he moved the ball. He he he moved the ball.
He did a lot better than Mariota. Mariota I like them,
it's just for some reason he just it's not effective

(01:37:42):
with its just not meshing well. Mean led him to
the playoffs last year. He was hurt, he was banged up.
It's if you look at defensively, they're spout. They've invested
in that uh, skilled players on offense and they're not losing.
And so Rable like Crab was a player. Man. He
knows the the motions that go along with doing this

(01:38:05):
type of thing and pulling the quarterback. It was well
thought out, I'm sure, and he's you gotta win, man,
If you're going to preach competition, the best guys gonna play,
it has to be every position. The quarterback position cannot
be immune from that. You can't preach competition and say
except the quarterback position. And so it's a hard decision,
but you're a ploting for it. Um Kyla Cayla Murray.

(01:38:28):
He's won two games, right, and they look better last week.
But again part of that is against the Falcons defense
long term. Are you a buyer into Kyler hand in
hand with Cliff if they can uh keep him up
right because he's small and he short, and so if
they can invest in some offensive lineman kind of like

(01:38:50):
the coach did what the Cowboys have done the Oakland
Raiders investing some old lineman. I I didn't like drafting
Andy as a Bell and all these sievers like they did.
I thought that was not a good thing to do. Um,
should have drafted some linement, But get get some lineman.
Get draft some lineman. When you draft Andy as about
you look at the stat sheet, he's casper to friendly

(01:39:12):
Ghost like he's not there, and so you don't. You
don't draft the receiver that high and then he gives
you no production. You would have drafted a lineman in
a spot he'd be out there helping your team and
so fortify the guys that are going to protect the
franchise quarterback. And if they do that, then I'm a buyer.
Uh okay, let's let's get to the Oakland Raiders. Um,

(01:39:37):
they're gonna be about Trent Brown. You know they're gonna
be without Um, They're they're leading past receiver. I don't
think they beat the Packers, but it does feel like
Jon Gruden's turned this thing around quietly and more quickly
than people thought. Um, are you surprised by their level
of success? Why would they be without TRYM. Brown? I

(01:39:59):
thought he's not gonna play. They said he's not gonna
play now because of allegations. Uh did not say, but
Tyroll Williams not playing because of because the planet fascis
Trent Brown. Um, it says if Trent Brown cannot play,
this is something you won't play. Okay, Well, what the
writers have done is obviously surprising to most. Um, But

(01:40:23):
when you when you look at it, they played the
coach earlier year, they went to Indian beat him. Jacoby
Brisett was getting his feet west, so to speak. They
didn't have t Y Hilton, so the Coast didn't really
have their full office. You beat Chicago, Trabinsky didn't play
in Chicago is not the best offense even with Trabisky,
and so they played the Chiefs. They get hammered. You

(01:40:47):
just look at the Raiders are doing well, but when
you really look at it, are they really doing that well? Effectively?
They're They're much better. They're running the ball better. But
what grew than them have done that I like is
what we talked about a second ago. They got those
hogs up front there cars completing sevent his passes and

(01:41:09):
so without a so called number one receiver and so
he it's impressive. Now, five games in the season, Federators
are three and two. It's so let's get back to
this in five weeks and let's see or five or
six weeks and let's see where they are. Is so premature,
but as of right now, I'm I'm impressed with what
they've done. Real quick. Raven Seahawks, Who do you like?

(01:41:34):
I like the Ravens because if you look at the
Seahawks Week one against the Bengals, Miss Fieldgo could have
lost against the Round, Miss Fielgo could have lost. I
thought Cleveland controlled that game. Baker gave it to him.
And so although the Seahawks have a great record, they
have a lot of close wins that could have gone
the other way. Great stuff. Who's check them out tomorrow

(01:41:57):
afternoon one o'clock Eastern ten o'clock Pacific A long time
see department on Fox Sports Radio. He's the one and
only former pro bowler t J. Houshman Zada, who's great stuff.
Appreciate you, take care of man. Thank you. All right,
let's get to our picks, shall we? I won't winner? Well,
we got him five NFL five College five. It's five

(01:42:20):
for five with Doug godli Let's go five Doug Gottlieve show,
Fox Sports Radio. Let's get to our picks. We'll start
with college three and two last week, six and four
over the last two weeks, so we're creeping closer and
closer UH to having a good season in college, having
very good season the pros um I like Texas Tech

(01:42:42):
to cover, and I frankly think they're gonna beat I
with Stay playing at home. I don't know if you
saw Texas Tech lost on the controversial call, frankly a
blown call. Big twelve admitted against Baylor on the road
last week. Uh, Sir Rodrick Thompson, have him breakout game
last week, hundred fifty start, fifty two yards rushing. They're
already top fifteen in passing Iowa State Brock Purdy likes

(01:43:03):
to throw at seventy seven in the country in total Russian.
They're gonna throw it all the time. And Texas Tech
last time they played at home picked off Oklahoma State
four times. So I think Texas Tech this is you're
going to Lubbock. They're feeling pretty good energy. Uh, defense
a little bit better, A good takeaway ratio. Texas Tech
covers Texas Tech heck seven points. I take the money

(01:43:24):
line taken to win. Uh. The team Texas Tech beat
was Oklahoma State Oaklhama State coming off of a bye,
going against Baylor, who nearly lost at home. O s
U five and one against the spread, playing on homecoming
at home and um, well, I mentioned Texas Tech Charlie Brewer,
uh struggle throwing three interceptions, and I I just if

(01:43:46):
you haven't seen Cheuba Hubbard play, He's I think the
second best or best running back in the country, Tylan
Wallace one of the best wide receivers in the country.
They got a potent run pass game. Oklahoma State Young
much better at home. Cowboys were point favorites. They win,
they cover at home. Uh, this is more of just

(01:44:07):
a spread pick tonight in the Big Ten Network, Northwestern
takes on Ohio State. Northwestern only one and four, but
the defense has been off to a good start top
forty and scoring defense, total defense, red zone defense, total
passing top ten and fewest first downs allowed. And I
just I look at it. In twenty seven and a
half points at home on a Friday night, I'm gonna
take Northwestern take the points. Penn State has been great

(01:44:30):
at home. They were very average at best against Iowa.
On the road they returned against the Michigan team. I
think their their defense is great against the past and
Sean Clifford the Penn State quarterbacks struggle last week twelve.
Remember Michigan allows owner a hundred and sixty yards passing
per game. Some of that helped out by the fact
they played army. You never threw it. But I don't
know if Michigan can win this game on the road.

(01:44:52):
I definitely think it's going to be a field goal game.
Michigan getting nine, give me the underdog Wolverines and the
points um. And then I look at this Mississippi State
spread eighteen points against l s U. Bulldogs are six
and one against the spread last seven home games twenty
four and six at home against the spread last thirty

(01:45:14):
home games and uh L s U traditionally plays down
to the level of competition against Mississippi State one and
four against the line last five games. Keep an eye
on Kylan Hill, second in the SEC and rush yards
per game. I know you're going against l s U,
but L s US defense is not what it has been.
L s U frankly has turned into an offensive jargonnaut

(01:45:34):
and I think, just like the NFL, the best defense
is to not play defense. Keep that offense and Joe
burrows out the field. Mississippi State will do it. LSU
will win, but not by more than eighteen. So the
pis are Mississippi State and the points, Michigan and the points,
Northwestern and the points, Texas Tech and the points, and
the favored Oklahoma State Cowboys lay the points. Let's get

(01:45:57):
to the NFL. Titans take on the Chargers. Tennessee is
top ten the NFL in total offense. Facing a Chargers
team that is depleted, worn down, beating up. No Mike Pouncey,
no Derwin James, Probably, no Russell O Kung uh, Justin Jackson,
Melvin Ingram, Brandon Mebane. Just a few of the Chargers
have been out this weekend. In previous weeks, Chargers shell themselves,

(01:46:21):
Titans getting new energy from changing quarterbacks. Remember, two and
a half is not three. I'm gonna take the Titans
to win and cover at home. I'm gonna change my
pick here. I was going to take the Eagles, and
then I saw that Amari Cooper is going to play.
The Cowboys get their bookend tackles back, they get Amari

(01:46:43):
Cooper back, They're playing at home. Eagles defense is a
mess like the Cowboys and the points Vikings taking on
the Lions. Vikings are three and o versus spread last
three games. Taking a line's team, that is a short
week to prepare. Ever since Cousins said sorry to uh
Adam theeling he's thrown for an average of they've had

(01:47:05):
an average of four hundred sixty yard nine yards on
offense and uh Dalvin Cook's uh Davin Cook's been incredible.
Minnesota's ranked third in the NFL in total rushing, ranks
six in total defense and scoring defense as well. Um, look,
I think the lines are good, but it's not likely
they're unbeatable at home. Chargers should have beaten them, should

(01:47:27):
have beaten them, and they were beaten at home by
Kansas City, a game that they had I think six
trips inside the ten yard line, couldn't punch it in.
I'm gonna take the Vikings to win outright on the road.
Bears taking on the Saints. Miss Drabinski expected to play,
so we'll h Taylor Gabriel. Alvin Kamara seems unlikely to go,

(01:47:48):
seeing as he did not practice today. I just think
Bears at home traditionally, Saints not great in open air.
I'm not a huge buyern to Tady Bridgewater, more people
get tape on him. Bears win. Bears cover at home
with that defense, and the Niners taken on the Redskins.
Four Niners or four and one against the spread, Washington

(01:48:09):
one in five against the spread. Washington changing coaches, but
Washington can't change personnel. They just can't. And look, I
think that Kyle Shanahan wants to make a point of
this game. Remember they fired his dad. He had something
he said coaching with his dad and some of the
coaches and players were the were the good things? What

(01:48:30):
about the bad things? He said? Everything else? Niners have
allowed sixty five first downs that second viewst in the NFL.
Washington is thirtieth in the NFL and first downs games.
That defense beyond the field a long time. The why
the offensive line can't protect. They don't have a quarterback
they like, they don't have a head coach. They're a mess.
Give me the Niners and the points. So you got Titans, Eagles, Vikings, Bears,

(01:48:53):
Niners five or five? There it is five NFL. Let's
go five college five for five with Doug gottlie A
Super Bowl favorite is missing one of their star players. No,
not Pat ma Homes, somebody else next. Be sure to
catch the live edition of The Doug Gottlieb Show weekdays

(01:49:15):
at three p m. Easter noon Pacific. Doug Gottlieb Show,
Fox Sports Radio. All Right, so I feel good about
my five for five picks. I'm seeing a lot of
a sayers from from Ramos and music. They want they
want no part of this, no part of it. They assume.
They assume I'm gonna fall back and slide back to
the mean after a couple of good weeks in a row.

(01:49:36):
In the meantime, let's get you update on all the
stories the day. Here's the press, the press, Dan Buyer,
what do you do? Football teams? Will want to know
this information for sure. Packers ruled out wide receiver Tavante
Adams of their game against the Raiders on Sunday, still

(01:49:58):
out with that knee injury. Um. You know, look, I
do feel like if you can get if you can
get through this week, you know, like you can you
can you survive against the Raiders. Um, Davonte Adams is
such an important part, and they had so many drops

(01:50:20):
and he changes the dynamic. You know, you got a
Z wide receiver. It changes the pecking order. But that's
a big one because it's one of the reasons I
didn't pick the Packers, not knowing if he's gonna play
sweep The Lick Saints running back Alvin Camaro out against
the Bears because of the and angle injuries. They're in
Chicago on Sunday. Yeah, what do you think do you

(01:50:42):
think Alvin Kmara plays? Um, No, he's been ruled out.
So he's been ruled out. Yeah, so he just I
just I just already didn't practice. I mean, doesn't this
feel like the Bears smash them? I mean, maybe not
smash him because they don't have the offense, but you
get your quarterback back. You're playing at home. Saints still playing,
and I know Bridgewaters played played well of late, but

(01:51:03):
you take Alvin Kamara off that team, He's arguably the
best running back in the league. It feels too easy
to take the Bears, doesn't it does. Adam Kaplan had
joined us earlier, was really high on the Saints in
this game, just hieing the Saints pure period because he
liked the hfense. Yeah. Other news injury wise fantasy football,

(01:51:26):
you were talking about Eagles Cowboys and Mary Cooper's back
again for the Cowboys. Played just three place against the
Jets before leaving with that quad injury. But Tyren Smith
is expected to return from that ankle injury to play
against the Eagles. Yeah, anyone on Leo Collins, I believe
he's gonna go too, So he will. So they are
getting healthy And yeah, well, look the team is built

(01:51:46):
around their offensive line, which helps them run the football.
And I know that the Eagles passed. The Eagles issue
has been their defensive backfield. Um, but I mean, look,
it's as simple as I see them getting Marie Cooper back.
I changed my pick. I think it's big a change
when you get this personnel back Bengals suspended tackle Cordy
Glenn for their game against Jacksonville for internal disciplinary reasons.

(01:52:09):
Doug the two sides, the Bengals and Glenn, arguing over
Glenn's concussion that he suffered in the preseason and likely
when he can return to action. Pro football Talk dot
Com says the team find him two hundred thousand dollars
for conduct detrimental to the team, he has head coach
Jack Taylor to cut him. So quite quite a scenario
unfolding in Cincinnati as the Bengals well continue to look

(01:52:33):
for win number one, Right, and that's the Bengals though, right.
I mean, we had t j on and I could
have had him tell stories about how cheap the Bengals are.
But this is like an every year thing with the Bengals,
isn't it. Every year there's some story about the Bengals
fighting over money with a player. NBA now with the
official heights and weights of players, the Athletic Sham's Trainia
saying that there are some changes to the players for

(01:52:53):
the upcoming season. Dwight Howard no longer six eleven. He's
six nine and three quarters, which is the same height
as Anthony Davis, who was also listed at six eleven
lebron actually grew a half inch with these new measurements. Well,
Kevin Durant grew a half inch from six nine to
six nine and a half. Yeah, it's interesting most people

(01:53:13):
thought Kevin Durant was seven ft tall. Maybe it's because
everybody else isn't nearly as tall as they were listed.
The Chinese government refuting claims made by the NBA Commissioner
Adam Silver, who said that officials sought the termination of
Houston Rockets GM Darryl Morey, a spokesperson for the Chinese
Foreign Ministry, says the Chinese government never posed that requirement.

(01:53:34):
You calling Adam Silver allah, that's a lie. Um. I
I gotta go back and hear the exact quote. I
don't know if they're saying they are fish, you know, like,
look there's a gray area there. Did they officially say
we want you to fire him? Maybe not. Did they

(01:53:55):
say this all would go away if you fired him? Maybe?
Yankee spitcher CC Sabathia did talk today about his career
ending last night with a shoulder injury. Doug and now
you talked about this earlier, but this was CC meeting
with the media earlier today. This is kind of the
best way for it to end for me because the
way I've been feeling, loving the bullpen, jogging out, feeling

(01:54:17):
pretty good. I feel like about July and next year,
I would have been like, I think I can pitch,
so you know, knowing that, I obviously you know the
way I feel now, I can't. Um. I think it's
just just kind of fitting, you know, up through until
I could anymore. Yeah, this is what I said earlier
is no boxer walks out of his last fight. It

(01:54:37):
actually is a good thing for CC because now there's
no like, hey, can he come back like now I
popped his shoulder out and blend and his knee was
busted on his last pitch as New York Yankee. I
love CC Sabathia. I liked him when he was an Indian.
I liked him he's a Brewer. I liked when he's
a Yankee. And I don't have any affinity for either
any of those three teams. And that suppressed backing out.

(01:55:00):
They're in pressed. That was the press by our biggest upset.
We'll see tomorrow. In college football, you got one, Oh jeez,
I you always asked me about the NFL, and I
was gonna say, I love the Jets on Monday Night
against You can get that Sunday on your show. But
there are some big ranked team games, uh, Northwestern, Ohio
State tonight, Clemson Louisville tonight, big spread I Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, Arkansas,

(01:55:25):
l s U. Not a ton of of upset potential ones.
I got my own. Motorcal State will not be an
upset because they're a four point favorite. Trent Dilford joins
US Monday, um Joel clad Jones was Monday, right, Joe.
And next week is Ohio State Wisconsin week. But we'll

(01:55:47):
see what happens with I think Michigan beachs Penn State
at Penn State. There you go, there's my upset pick.
