(00:27):
Tuck got Leap Show, Fox Sports Radio. So last night
the Lakers took down the Utah Jazz. Last night in
l A, the Lakers took Dalia Todd Jazz the Clintston
nob On say to the Western covers playoffs? How my
doing ramos? Does that sound like already a guy, let's
(00:52):
got a baseball? Or the Twins are six s wad
the Pittsburgh Pirates. So the Milwaukee Box continue to trail
the Brooklyn Death to Sex State to go, Doug got
leave shout, Sorry, I just want to get away anyway.
Um okay, So the Lakers lock up the one seat
doesn't really matter. Um, it is more honor. It's I
(01:16):
look at it and it's a lot like being ranked
number one going into the n c A A tournament.
It doesn't do you any good, except for everybody says
you're a one seed, what do we get You're a
one seed as of now, they play the Memphis Grizzlies.
But the Grizzlies who complained about you know what I mean,
Bob wo need to play other teams because we had
a soft schedule. They've lost four in row. They've lost
(01:40):
all their games, they think all three games they played
in the bubble. Um. Portland is two games back and
you've got like five to go, and San Antonio is
is three games back. So the Pelicans don't look like
they're challengers. There's just too many games to catch up,
would be my guess. And the Mavericks are way clear
(02:01):
of them. So you know, you look at ed Memphis
and they take on the Jazz tomorrow. Now, God kind
of gets real for Memphis. Um here, they've been in
the bubble, kind of getting exposed. The younger crew. You know,
you've lost all three games. They lost in overtime to Portland,
(02:22):
by two to San Antonio, and then they got stopped
by New Orleans. These are all three teams that are
trying to trying to catch them. They have Utah, Oklahoma City, Toronto, Boston.
But when they when they play Milwaukee, my guess is
Milwaukee's not playing. I think they're starters today. They probably
will do the same then, So the Milwaukee game looks
(02:42):
more difficult than it actually could be. By the way,
one all nets Bucks, we'll get you to Dan Buyer
for an action report upcoming. Either way, the Lakers, it
feels like they got a good shot of playing the Grizzlies.
If they don't, you'll play the Trailblazers. And I know that.
(03:03):
You know, people are infatuated with Carmelo Anthony suddenly being
in shape and Damian Lillard. And do I think the
Trailblazers will be um will be an easy sweep? No? No,
Remember they have Nurkics back, they got Zack Collins back.
But the weakness to the Trailblazers has been really the
(03:26):
small forward position. I mean Anthony Davis can't guard I
mean Karmonla Anthony when he's playing the four can't guard
Anthony Davis and he's playing three can't really guard Lebron James.
So now we got a maajor problem. The Lakers get
the one seed and Anthony Davis and three bubble games
is averaging thirty a game, eight point seven rebounds a game,
(03:47):
shooting from three, and he had a great night last night.
But but the discussion about Anthony Davis has always been, yeah,
what about the playoffs? Right, Because in the playoffs, Anthony
Davis has been anything but a superman. He's just been
a guy. J A d J A g Right, just
(04:09):
a guy, just a guy. Last night, he was more
than just a guy last night. He was a dominant player.
I mean, completely and thoroughly dominant. Anthony Davis took twenty
eight shots at forty two points. He had twelve rebounds,
four assists, three steals, a block shot. I believe he
also drove the team golf cart to take Lebron James
(04:32):
from his compound to the arena. That's how good he
was last night. But the question becomes, Willie get exposed? Oh,
you know again, can't carry a team when he gets
to the NBA playoffs? No, he could not. He couldn't
when he was in New Orleans. One stands the reason
he's gotten better. It's like really important to mention that
(04:52):
Anthony Davis has actually gotten better. He is not the
same player as when he last played in the playoffs.
You know. I mean, that's if we're being fair, that's
being fair. He's gotten progressively better in terms of shooting
the ball from three, you know, not just the percentage
numbers are about the same, but now he's shooting one
(05:13):
or two threes at game. More so, the rebounds are
down a little bit. He's playing a little bit further
from the basket. Andy Davis is twenty seven a game.
It's about ten rebounds a game, about three assisted game.
A damn good player. If you look at his postseason numbers, like, wa,
wait a second, what's the big deal? Postseason? He's averaged
(05:33):
thirty one and a half and thirty. Hadn't played in
the postseason since uh two thousand eighteen, since two years ago.
The average thirty a game, but only shot scent from three.
He struggled shooting the ball, but he did play nine
games team. My argument would be, I don't think he's
going to get exposed because I think he can be
(05:56):
exactly who he has been with the Lakers. He just
wasn't He wasn't the the the alpha with the Pelicans.
But he doesn't have to be the Alpha with the Pelicans,
right they already have Lebron James, And yeah, you're you're
gonna You're gonna put a lot of your defensive resources
towards stopping Anthony Davis, But you also have to put
(06:17):
a lot of defensive resources towards stopping Lebron James. So
I I do think he can be a great number two.
I do think he could be a good number two
who Lebron James has been trying to foster his confidence
the entire season long. What watch like Lebron almost overpasses
(06:37):
early in the game to try and get Anthony Davis
going to build him up. Are there questions about whether
or not he can carry him if Lebron doesn't have it? Yes,
are those fair questions, Sure, But I'm not sure how
often that's gonna have to occur in the playoffs when
you do have Lebron James, if he's truly kind of
still able to activate some form of playoff mode. And
(06:58):
and though Lebron is not the fleet that he was previously,
I think he's a little bit better shotmaker than he
used to be. And it's not like any but in
the NBA is going to gonna dare n like, Yeah,
we we don't think he's that good we're gonna put
somebody soft on him. Yeah, that's not gonna work. So
with Anthony Davis playing great last night, some it's about matchup.
(07:21):
You know, he had a bunch of threes last night.
Well he got to the foul line of ten last night.
When they play him at the four, he'd get physical
and play him at the five, he'd get finesto and
shoot threes. I I kind of im I'm excited to
see exactly what exactly what he does. It's and the
(07:46):
Clippers make the interesting match up because the Clippers don't
really have you know, Montrez Harrold is not a great
interior defender. You know, Marcus Morris is. It's his versatility.
You know, he's he's a tough guy, but it's not
like he's an all defensive team guy. The Clippers are
actually made to stop Lebron. That's where it gets interested, right.
(08:07):
Teams have focused and built their teams to stop the
Lebron James's, the Kevin Durance, the Kauai Leonards of the world,
not to stop the Anthony davis Is of the world.
And we'll see if Anthony Davis can take advantage of it.
If he can't, well, then you're right. He does not
have that it factor. He's a he's a really really
(08:28):
good player. We do this great player or superstar thing
way too often. He's a really good player. He plays
both ends. He's terrific. A great player, doesn't really matter
that much about the matchup. He's gonna get his and
that's not yet Anthony Davis. He'll he'll benefit. I don't
think he'll benefit greatly from teams being built to stop
(08:49):
Lebron not being built to stop him. I mean, look,
the bubble is gonna expose. You didn't say that yesterday, right.
If you're not in shape, it's gonna get exposed. You
can't play, you know if you it. If you can't
prepare yourself for each game, the bubble get exposed. Be
sure to catch the live edition of The Doug Gottlieb
(09:09):
Show weekdays at three pm Easter noon Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio AHAP Doug Gottlieb Show,
Fox Sports Radio. So the move going back to last weekend,
this is not last weekend. The week before it was
this trade for Jamal Adams. Two first round picks for
Jamal Adams. The logic behind that move for the Seattle Seahawks,
was Hey, you got Russell Wilson's in his prime. You know,
(09:33):
let's go for it, alright, Like it's not that two
first round picks aren't valuable, that it's himself. So funny,
my my son, don't ever tell you guys this. My son, Hayes,
he's eleven years old. He does, you know he does.
He pronounces some words interesting and interesting, passionate, value, valuable.
How does he say it? I almost want to call him.
He says it like valuable, Like no, it's valuable, that's
(09:54):
what he said. No, never mind anyway, So they it
gets I don't know if your kids are like this
from must you get just pronouncing it like them like, well,
maybe I've pronounced it wrong the whole my whole life.
Maybe it is valuallable anyway. Um, so look, what what
makes those first round picks valuable? Y is one, they're
(10:22):
under a client club control, rookie control. He wants a
new contract two maybe most importantly, like you get two
for one. But the problem is, you know, you're not
expecting a rookie to really contribute in his first year,
but you know, second year, third year, now you get
to where you're really figuring out the league. I saw
this story. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll acknowledged the team
(10:43):
has interest in Antonio Brown, saying general manager John Schneider
has been monitoring the All Pro wide receivers complex situation.
Carol Want a step further when asked about the team's
interest in another suspended wide receiver, saying the Seahawks are
very open to a reunion with Josh Gordon. Now, part
of it is Pete Carroll's full of crap, right, Oh yeah,
I love Colin Kaepernick. Love to have him too, would you?
(11:07):
But because you know, if you have Colin Kaepernick, you
gotta cut somebody else. And by the way, do you
do you think you're starting quarterback? But like if you
had Colin Kaepernick, I don't maybe it were past that
point that it doesn't matter. So part of it is
it's it's Pete Carroll being full. Yeah. Oh yeah, we
oh yeah, we're you know, like you think Gino Smith
would be into that. I don't not in it? Did
(11:29):
Gina Smith? Like do you know what do you think
about Colin Kaepernick? No? Thank you anyway? Um, So part
of it is he's full of crap. Part of it
is he looks at his wide receivers and he sees,
you know, Philip Doors, Set, Tyler Lockett and DJ Metcalf
had good years. But if Tyler Lockett is your second
wide receiver in DK Metcalf is your third. Wives here,
(11:51):
now you got a squad and then you line up
with Chris Carson, Rashad Penny and Carlos Hyde and look,
they've dealt with crazy people in the past. You have
Greg Olsen. I kind of think you go all in,
don't you. You know when when you I haven't played poker.
(12:16):
I'm not a poker guy, but um I thought about
playing poker. I thought about it a lot. And when
I watched poker on TV, I noticed, you know what hands,
guys go all in on. And this is not like
King Ace High. He doesn't have the best team in
(12:36):
the NFL. You didn't have the best talent. I mean,
I think the Niners have better talent. I think I
go around. I would say, hey, the Cowboys are really
good talent. Some flaws there, but you have a quarterback
who's been into Super Bowls, who's won one. Right, you
have a defense which is better and now good in
the back end you have, if healthy and legit running game,
(12:59):
you fix me your offensive line. You've got a good
enough like if you're gonna if your whole thing is hey,
we got Russell Wilson and for the next two or
three years he's in his prime, like let's go and
oh yeah, by the way, for Josh Gordon, it's a
veteran minnow's deal. And the same thing for Antonio Brown.
Those guys don't have anywhere else they can go. I
(13:20):
think you go full commitment. I think you lock into
a year lease. So I think I don't do a
short term. You know, don't buy by rent. Drafting a
guy's buying. Leasing a guy is much smarter in this case,
especially when it's you know, a distressed property like Antonio Brown.

T J Hosh Benzata joining us. Well, where are you
right now? I'm walking to the house. Some exiting in
the backyard. Okay, you got the music up? You guys chilling?
You got you got you got to? Are you watching
games out there in the backyard? My kids have the
music the pool. You know how they do a teenagers.
I don't know. I haven't been to the house, but
(14:04):
I do know how the teenagers. Now, Well, she just
turned twenty the other day, so I guess she's not
She's not a teenager any longer. Hanging out your house,
eating your food, using your your using your stereo to
play her music. Yes, I do know exactly how they
do it. Um, Okay, so real quick. Gary Patterson's a
coach at TCU. Apparently he wanted to tell the guys
(14:26):
to stop dropping end bombs in meeting rooms and he
said the N word with a S at the end. Um.
You know. Apparently had some leadership council meeting where you know,
he apologized and they're like, that's not acceptable. How I mean,
I just I don't understand why he would say it.
I do understand why he didn't want the words said.
(14:49):
Every coach, every coach I've played for his Marvin Lewis
is a black man. He would always tell us that
as well, stop staying in word, stop saying it amongst
each other's, stop saying it and in a derogatory way,
stop saying it in a tournament. Dude, Gary Patterson is wrong.
He apologized because the players went to social media like,
(15:10):
you've been coaching at TCU for twenty years, did you
really know? Oh man, he knew what he was doing.
He only apologized because of the backlash that came with it.
I'm I'm I'm actually shocked that it's just an apology
and nothing else will come up. And the climate that
we're in and what we're going through in this road
(15:32):
right now. When I read that, I was like, got
to be kidding me. But certain people are held at
different standards. TCU as a Christian school. Um, I'm shocked
it's just an apology and that now I don't, I don't.
I don't understand how he thought that was a smart
thing to say. I just that that's a stunner to me,
an absolute stunner to me. T Jansana joining us here,
(15:52):
Doug Gotlip Show, Fox Sports Radio. Um, if you were
playing right now, did you play or would you opt out? Uh?
You know me, Doug, I'm playing. I love to compete.
I love football Like I'll be honest with you, it
would be very very hard for me not to play,
(16:16):
and circumstances I don't even think could possibly happen Um,
I'm playing. What I think about it? Yes, I would
think about it because I have a family, and I
would think about it and say, oh, I'm gonna play
unless a family member and my immediate family was sick
they needed me. But I'm gonna play football. Man. This
is when I say us football, this is what we do.
(16:39):
We play football. There's risks and everything you do. Um.
But with that being said, no question. Uh sign me
up Doug Otlive show here on Fox Sports Radio. Uh,
Antonio Brown a guy you know pretty well. Um, now
give me suspended for half the season. If you were
a team, how would you approach the possibility of signing
(16:59):
a b Wow, you want to see where he's at.
I mean, you would assume he can still play, But
when you've been out of the game for almost two
years now, it's gonna be tough. You've got kids that
are hungry, that really wanted. Is he gonna have that hunger.
I'm sure he would want to prove people that he
can still play, But I would approach it as talk
(17:22):
to him. You've seen the statement. He maybe he seems
like he's mature to ton, but being out of football
that long, the good teams really don't need you because
that's why they're good teams. And if do you want
to go to a bad team to possibly tarnish your legacy,
And so it's a lot of friends to think about.
(17:42):
I'm sure he wants to get on the field and
play football. Then if you're a team, you just gotta
assess where he's at and not just physically mentally. Has
he matured and like I said, he seems like he has.
But for a b it's a tough situation because you
would want to get with a team that has a
quarterback that can get you get you the ball. But
do those teams need you because they're good teams because
(18:03):
they have a good quarterback. Only team that comes to
mind right now with a good quarterback that I said
they could use him and he would really help him
would be Green Bay, Um Seattle to Seattle could use him.
Right But if they're talking about being interested in Josh Gordon,
if he's reinstated, you already have d K, Mattcalthy, have
Tyler Lockett. They're not a team that throws the ball
(18:25):
a ton uh that I don't believe that will work
at You're not a team that throws the ball a ton.
This guy's getting ten targets a game. Obviously he knows
that will decrease. I just I don't think that's a
good state at all. Yeah, I would say the same
thing about the Ravens. The Ravens they just don't throw
it enough, right, and they already have and they have
those all those tight ends to throw too, and they
(18:46):
got Hollywood Brown. You know, there's been some talk of
the Ravens, and I just I don't see it with
especially with how few of that how a few times
they throw the football with Lamar, and when they do
throw it, it's what you said, they're throwing into the
tight ends to the Mark Andrews that they're getting the balls.
And so you know, the Ravens are offenses, run the ball,
(19:07):
control of the passing game with our tight ends, and
let's see if we can get Holly Hollywood Brown deepen.
And so I don't see that as a good fit.
When you're used to getting looks and touches and balls
throw your way and now you don't. I don't. It's
hard to deal with it, really is. Doug gotlip show
here on Fox Sports Radio. Uh, okay, so we're gonna
(19:29):
have some form of training camp and no preseason. From
an offensive standpoint, how hard is it to look sharp
when you don't have preseason games? Offense will be behind.
Um that that's just the fact. Every year in training
camp we scrimmaged the defense and they would kill us
and we would say, oh my god, we're gonna be
so good when the season starts because our teeth and
(19:49):
looks like this. The offense is always behind a new
head coaches, new quarterbacks, new guys that uh, premium positions
that that really at a quarterback receiver often just don't
have that continuity man that getting on the field. The
games really helps you. They they need them. But what
(20:09):
probably is going to happen, and what coaches have kind
of moved away from, is you make certain periods live.
And so what I'm saying, and you'll go, okay, we'll
go we're gonna go go line here, there's gonna be
a live period. Everybody's down to the ground except for
the quarterback. Then you might say, uh, we're gonna go
seven plays a third long or third and sure or
(20:30):
thirty medium, whatever it may be. But this is going
to be live. I believe we'll see more of that
in training camp where they do more live periods. You
don't want anybody to get hurt, but you have to
take that risk because guy's got to be ready to play,
especially on the offensive side of the ball. You need
offensive lineman picking up blizzes and stunts and twists, protections called,
and guy's going full speed knowing that it's a life period,
(20:51):
just so you get ready for game number one. T
Josman's out of joining us and Douglas. Let's let's talk
about some stuff that really matters. Uh, you like the
Lakers more or less now that you've seen them, it's
pretty much it's about the same. I'm they haven't played well.
I've watched every game since they since we've come back
to play. Uh, a little disappointed, but but I will
(21:14):
say this, they're winning games and they're not playing well.
Lebron is playing good, he's not playing great, and it
could be part of the plan. Anthony Davis has obviously
played very well. We're just not shooting the ball well. Um,
nobody's really shooting the ball well from deep. So if
they can shoot the ball better, we'd be all right.
But I would say I'm very optimistic that we can
(21:35):
win this thing. We just guys got to shoot the
ball better. Simple as that. Guys shoot the ball better,
it faces the floor more for a little bit. Lebron
can drive, penetrate, kick whatever he wants to do. But
guys must shoot the ball better from three point range.
They have to, yes, But don't they shoot the ball
better if they get better looks. And when they get
better looks, you have guys that break down the defense,
and they don't have guys that break down the defense.
(21:58):
To me, when when you when you cat Lake, Lebron
can break you down, Deon Waiders can break you down.
Outside of that, they don't have anyone else that can
create break you down. When Anthony Davis gets the ball,
for the most part, he's taking that shot unless you
doublem he'll kick it out and repost and get the
ball back. But break you down and get get buckets
or get other guys involved. Right now, to me, it's
(22:20):
just two guys as Lebron and Deon Waiters. Yeah yeah, well,
and Dion Waiders is getting buckets himself, so that's not
really right. He's just a he like Deon Waiders is
trying to dime dudes up. That's he Beyon Waiders is
showing I should have been in the league, and let
me try to get fifteen every time I get in
the game. How um uh do you think Anthony Davis
(22:42):
has the it to take over games in the playoffs? Yes,
but Anthony Davis is going to have to use his
gifts in my opinion, like I'm not settling for too
many jump shots. I'm gonna make them call foul. I'm
gonna post you up. I'm trying to get to the rim.
I'm not trying to take that many jump shots like
(23:05):
he he falls in love with him and he's so talented.
When you can do both. But to be honest with you,
getting that post draw some fouls and see, let's see
if you can get the team in the penalty early.
So now you can take the free throws. Now that
helps Lebron when he drives, he has it. He just
has that. He gotta. He had had that mentality to wear.
(23:26):
I'm going to the bucket. I'm going to the realm
stop me or found me. If you had a m
VP vote, who would you give it to? Oh, I'm
giving it to Lebron James. What you look at the
Lakers before he got there. You look at him last
year before he got hurt, and then after he got hurt,
they are complete. Every team Lebron goes to, they just
(23:50):
miraculously get better. And so if you take Janice off
the Bucks, they're not as good as they are, but
they're still a playoff team. You take Lebron off the
do you think they're playoffs? Their playoffs? Look, I think
I think, I think yeah, I think, Look, I think, um,
I do believe that they're the Lakers, that that Lebron's
(24:12):
the m v P. But I mean, look, they're probably
a playoff They might be a playoff team without but
if you look, you had Lebron last year you want
to play, they weren't playoff playoff team. So when he
got hurt, where were the Lakers in December? When he
got hurt, like fourth, they were a playoff team, and
once he came back, it would they failed so far
behind they couldn't. They lost to the best, They lost
(24:34):
the bad teams at the end. Like you, I'm gonna
agree with you that he's the m v P, that
he totally turned around that team. He's a big factor
in Anthony Davis's confidence and he leads the defense. Whatever.
But if you're gonna give him credit this year, you
gotta give him credit. Last year they were bad with him,
and at the end of the year they were bad,
you know obviously without him. Um, and he's gotten better,
(24:55):
He's improved his own game. T Joshman's out our guest
Doug gotlip show here on five Sports Radio. Last thing,
do you think Bill Belichick has some master plan? All
these guys are opting out because Belichick wants Trevor Lawrence man.
This is of all the team, I mean, and then
when you say the page, they have prime time players
(25:17):
opting out, and it's like, really, uh, master plan. It's
gonna be really interesting to see how this plays out
with the Patriots. But I have a feeling that Bill
Belichick is gonna plug guys in on defense and they'll
be a top ten defensive team. All the guys opting
out that matter, on the defensive side of the ball,
they will be a top ten defense. Now, the bigger
(25:38):
question is who starts to understand her? Is it Cam
or still him? That that's the question. But defensively, he's
gonna throw guys in there. They lost Jamie Collins to
the Browns years ago. Defense the same they lost Flowers
up defensive. Bill Belichick is a defensive guru. That's not
gonna be a problem to me is offensively, who's gonna
(25:59):
be under center? Do you think it's gonna be Camp?
I had a discussion if Cam Newton and I trained
with still him this offseason, so I'm actually a fan
of his, I really am. But if Cam Newton cannot
be a starting quarterback after being an m VP of
the NFL, and you can't beat out a guy that
(26:21):
has never started a regular season game it was was
five years ago and and several surgeries ago for Cam,
that's a problem. Doug, you're a former m v P.
He looks the part right now in the videos you see.
If Cam Newton cannot beat out Jared Sidham, who's never
started in the NFL, it's a problem. So I would
assume Cam is going to be the start of five
(26:42):
years ago. You're not losing nearly as much as people think.
In five years If your body is healthy in this quarantine,
with the type of money and resources that he has,
his body should be good to go. I would assume
Cam is gonna win his job. If he can't beat out,
still him and there's no disrespect to st him. He's
never started the game the league. It's a problem for Cam.
(27:02):
Awesome stuff, dude, t j Uh let me know when
I get invited over to the pool party. In the meantime,
thanks for joining us, Doug Man. You worked so much, man,
Keep doing up, keep doing a great job. Man. It's
no invite, man, you always welcome, all right. I appreciate

it's kind of kind of hard that way. Zia Williamson

about Zion Williamson the expectations placed upon the rookie. Zion
Williamson is better than I thought. He's more impactful, and
(27:50):
I thought he was gonna be great. I told you
he's gonna be a top twenty player by the end
of his first year. I loved him out of college.
He didn't look like anybody else, the charism of the style,
the size, the power. He's better than I He's more impactful,
he's more powerful, he scores more easily, he's more efficient,
he's a little better in transition, and he shoots better
than I thought. It's similar to Andrew Luck. I loved
(28:10):
Andrew Luck out of college. I told you Andrew Luck
was gonna be a star. He came into the league
first year as a rookie. He was better than I thought.
Tiger Woods was better than I thought. Zion is better
than I thought. He's averaging twenty two and a half
points a game and shooting almost six from the field.
Anthony Davis rookie year average thirteen, James Harden was on
(28:31):
the bench, Russell Westbrook shot thirty nine average fifteen, Kauai
averaged eight. Janice average seven and last night against John Morant,
who is the better player? Who is the more impactful player?
In fact, if you look at Lebron James rookie year numbers,
the chosen one, Zion's numbers are better. In ten less
(28:52):
minutes on the floor. Yeah, I get it. I mean
I think he has a chance to be special. Now
we also have to contextualize everything, alright. Kauai obviously had
a slow rise to prominence, but he also was the
six or seventh best guy on his team when he
got there, they had four Hall of Famers already in
(29:13):
the starting lineup, so there's some growth there. Lebron James
was spectacular and uh, you know, his team didn't make
the playoffs, but it was. He was incredible. He's right
out of high school, but he's really the same age
as as Zion is Um and was really well developed physically,
(29:34):
and his game was pretty well developed. I don't know.
I just every everything deserves context. And while Zion's numbers
are good, I think he can be tremendous, but the
fact is he hasn't. He only played a handful of
games and he struggles to play more than a handful
of minutes before he gets tired. And look, the league
is different now. It just is playing a small ball
(29:56):
five and being able to dunk over dudes and go
buy guys. Do I think that he's unique and his
style will last. I do if he gets himself in
great shape, But I also think that there's other guys
that would have had similar success if the game was
played and officiated the way it is now. Back when
you gave us those stats, it's a completely different league.
(30:20):
It's not just younger, but it's so much more offensive minded.
You know, the pace of play is not as great
as it was in the eighties, but the the rise
in the pace of play from year to year has
spiked up like nothing we've seen. It gets faster and
faster and more and more offense. Case in point, Clippers
(30:40):
and Sons with five and change to go in the
first half in the bubble, so both teams will end up,
you know, in the sixties probably in terms of points wise.
Before you get to the break, we've seen an eighty
five point half. Yes, yes, right. I just the idea
that he's already exceeded expectations after playing less than third
games in his rookie season, several of those at less
(31:03):
than thirty minutes per game. I really struggle to understand
how that's exceeding expectations. You have to ask Colin. I
don't know, But I don't know. I just think it's
his way of saying I watched Says yesterday and I
really like him. That's that's that would be my guess
on what he's what Colin is saying by saying that fair. Yeah,
(31:29):
I think that. I think it's a little bit more
in line with what we're talking about. Um, you know
who's really comfortable where he is Jimmy Garoppolo, Jimmy Garoppolo
and he probably should be. Well, I'll explain why Jimmy
Garoppolo is comfortable right where he should be next in
(31:51):
