(00:21):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Boo, What Up America,
Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio somewhere on my television set,
because last night I turned it on and I saw
(00:42):
guys in helmets with logos that I I know smashing
each other, and it it almost seemed like almost seemed
like normal, right. I mean, I will grant you there
was a smattering of fans in the stands that made
(01:05):
it weird, uh. And I will grant you that we
have had some return to normalcy with Major League Baseball
and with the NBA. Although the NBA as much as
it's close to normal, right Lakers wearing their UH yellow
and for Golden Form Forum blue uniforms last night, Rockets
wearing their road reds when they turn around they have
(01:30):
the social justice expressions and sayings and names on them.
It does feel a little bit different. Football. Being back
on TV in September on a Thursday night just felt
right right, It just it just felt right. It felt amazing.
(01:51):
And so we're back. And as much as I did,
in fact predict that the Chiefs would win and uh
it would be under fifty three next just fifty three
and a half at at closing, I missed the line
because I thought, I don't know, I thought he used
to be keep it closer. The fact is that the
(02:15):
Chiefs are not as good as they were last season.
That's right, I said it. The Chiefs are not as
good as they were last season. I know they returned
twenty out of twenty two starters before COVID took away
two starters. I know they got Pat Mahomes back. I
got it. They're not as good as they were last season.
(02:38):
You know, you know what they are. They're better, yes,
because if you look at the last year and a
half of Chiefs football, the explosive offense that took the
league by storm a year and a half ago, when
Pat Mahomes went from starter game seventeen two m v
(03:03):
freaking p and fifty touchdown passes. But if you look
at the end of two seasons ago in the playoffs
and last year only twenty touchdowns. Granted, some of it
was the knee. The way to beat the Chiefs, the
way to win football games, the way the Niners got
to the super Bowl, the way the Packers stabilize their
(03:25):
team is you got damnitant time time possession. You gotta
be able to run the football. And ever since Kareem
Hunts video of his idiocy was leaked and they had
to suspend and then get rid of him, and now
he's at Cleveland Brown, they just weren't the same. So
(03:46):
what do you do if you're the Chiefs. You violate
the normal rules of what you're supposed to do in
two thousand twenty and you draft a running back at
the end of the first round. But they didn't just
get any running back. They got the perfect fit at
running back, Clyde Edwards Hilaire, who is ready to play
right away to the tune of a hundred and thirty
(04:07):
eight yards. If the Chiefs can consistently run the football,
combined with what Pat Mahomes can do when you get behind,
combined with Travis Kelsey, Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill, dude, they're
not as good as they were last year. They're better
because what was the key to beating the Chiefs last year?
(04:32):
Keep hut the field time of possession Week five versus
the Colts. Last year, the Colts had the ball thirty
seven minutes and fifteen seconds. The Chiefs had it twenty
two minutest seconds Week six, when they lost to the Texans,
same team. The Texans dominated time possession thirty nine minutes
(04:56):
forty eight seconds. The Chiefs had just twenty minutes and
twelve seconds. Last year, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl
despite being twenty three in rushing during the regular season,
and Pat Mahomes was their leading rusher in two of
their three playoff games. And this is Pat Mahomes coming
off of a of a dislocated knee. They would dare
you to run it last year. People would dare them
(05:18):
to run it last year because they knew they couldn't.
They just didn't have the horses and and and oh yeah,
by the way, they're the opposite of the Houston Rockets.
Like the juctaposition of the two teams last night in
games that it succeeded one another was the Rockets knew
(05:40):
the flaw or had to address the flaws of the
past couple of years, and instead of getting better, they
got worse. We told you that the analytics shoot threes,
play small, spread you out, play through hardened, get to
the foul that we took. That doesn't work. In the playoffs,
they have one way to beat you and if it
(06:03):
doesn't work, it it falls like a house of cards,
whereas the kans City Chiefs now have multiple ways to
beat you. Their defense is better solidified with Tyra Matthew
who they acquired last year. Chris Jones is back. Of course,
they made the big trade last year, which I thought,
you know, I thought really paid off at times last night.
(06:27):
Frank Clark, right when they brought in Frank Clark last
year was like questionable dude personnelity wise. That was from
before he got to the Seattle Seahawks. But he's awesome.
Now you have Chris Jones and you have him, and
they drafted well. But they can beat you a little
bit with their defense and pressure you. Right. They can
run the football, they can throw it to the running
back and then they can spray it around. And they
(06:48):
got the absolute best in the game who can run
but also has just crazy arm talent. And whatever. So
instead of being down twenty four nothing, they're up seventeen
seven and a half and they're laughing their way to
their first win of the year. The Chiefs aren't as
good as they were last year. They're better. They have
addressed their issues with running the football by getting a
better running back. And as a fan of the a
(07:14):
f C West, but as a fan of the l
A Chargers, I don't like you guys. It used to
be so easy to pick on the Chiefs because they
were always steady and sound and solid and got to
the playoffs, whether it was Marty Schottenheimer or whether it
was Andy Reid, they get to the playoffs and then
(07:34):
gag all over themselves. Well, now you got the best
quarterback in the game and you got a GM. It's
like red features, like, oh, do you think that's as
good as they could be? You guys didn't even pay
attention to the fact that we haven't been able to
run the football since about the midway point of the
previous season. We'll just fix that with the first round
draft pick. And then once Clyde Edwards Hilaire gets to
the point where he wants a new contract, they'll probably
(07:56):
train him, move on from him and get another running
back in the first second round who can do the
exact same thing. And the pretty awesome football on TV
is great teams that address their issues, even good ones. Right,
it does. It does remind me of the old and
we get this all the time with the Yet you
(08:18):
give somebody two weeks, You give Nick Saban two weeks
to repair, Now you give any of these All the
coaches are prepping and working. But when you are great,
you don't sit on your loyals laurels, because people are
gonna try and catch up to you, you know, and
they're gonna have the flexibility to move on from Hilaire. Ultimately,
(08:38):
this is what every draft analyst, every NFL analysts said
that you gotta do now that you're tying yourself up
to these big contracts. Once that, once that that dollar
figure starts to get the forty million a year and
he starts to gobble up cap space. Talking about Pat Mahomes,
and that's in two years. Your success is not just
gonna be depending upon his health, but your ability to
(09:00):
draft skill position players in the early rounds and make
sure they hit, and if they hit, you're gonna be good.
For a long time and that one last night hit
that's fun. It was really fun, all right. Coming up next,
I am going to give credit to a to a
former executive in the NBA who uh was whild widely
(09:27):
laughed at upon his exit and though his execution was poor,
his plan was dead to rights accurate. Tell you who
that is next, The Doug Gotlip Show, Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Doug
Gottlieb Show weekdays at three p m. Easter noon Pacific
(09:49):
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app.
We canna have a lot of arguments if you want,
I'm not gonna argue with you over this one fact.
M Magic Johnson is the greatest laker of all time.
I know that. I know that. Magic said Kobe is
the greatest laker of all time. But that's because you
(10:10):
can't go you can't do the Rickey Henderson and say
it's all about me right. Magic also said that he
expected Lonzo balls Jersey to be hanging in the rafters
right that that that's obviously clearly not going to happen.
Um So, in a self deprecating or level off sort
of way, I would I would tell you that Magic
(10:31):
is being nice like Kareem scored more points, one more
championships he never won without Kareem. Jerry West is the
face of the league or the logo of the league.
Will Chamberlain's the most dominant pizzical, most dominant individual in
the history of the sport in terms of scoring and rebounding.
(10:52):
Kobe Bryant is one of the most intimidating and impactful
leaders and finishers in the history of the sport. And
Shaquille O'Neil is the the Wilt with a better work
ethic and the tougher demeanor of this era. All those
things can be true. And Magic is still the greatest
laker of all time. Right, Magic and Larry Bird saved
(11:17):
the league and then handed off to Michael Jordan's who
became the greatest player of all time. I'm not going
to argue with you about any of these things because
I know them to be true, and I really really
don't have time to get caught up in the well
Mamba mentality. Well, I wasn't even a huge Kobe fan.
We became friends, and I love Kobe post playing more
(11:38):
than during his playing career. But I appreciate and teach
many of the finer aspects of what Kobe began, which
was he was almost like a scientist, right. He was
unbelievable with his footwork. He was a leader, he was
a motive. He had flaws. He could be a complete jerk.
(11:59):
He got coaches fired, he ran players off. He took
a contract he probably shouldn't in order to to stick
with the Lakers. He wanted to be traded. There's a
lot to Kobe, but and and a young fans like dude,
Kobe Bryant, Why Madgice Johnson, Like Okay Maddie wasn't a
good coach, Magic wasn't a good talk show host, and
Magic clearly wasn't a good president of the l A Lakers.
(12:25):
But I want to give Magic Johnson a ton of
credit today. No, not for his Twitter handle, no um
not not not for his his tweet tweeting. No, but
but Magic Johnson when they when they landed Lebron James,
(12:46):
and he put together a team, whether it was out
of you know, who was actually available, or it was
actually his plan. What he told the world. What he
told the world is that this team is going to
be one. And at the time it was to take
(13:07):
down the Golden State Warriors, right is we're going to defend,
We're gonna play. We're gonna be built upon the ability
to just defend, take teams out of what they want
to do. And then we got the by his estimation,
greatest player in the world will get another star and
that's how we'll win a championship. That was Magic's plan. Now,
(13:30):
he didn't see it all the way through because he
didn't wasn't able to land Anthony Davis. He didn't see
it all the way through because, frankly, it takes better
work ethic than he had to identify the right players.
You know, Look, they would be better if they had
Avery Bradley, but he did get him. You know, Rondo
(13:52):
was under his under his watch, Lebron was under his watch.
He did want to hold on to Kyle Kusma, like
some of these pieces KCP, they did resign when he
was there. But look, I'm not gonna sit here and
lie to you and tell you that he thought in
any way Alex Caruso would play as big a factor
as he's played. I don't know what would have happened
(14:15):
with the UH, with the Anthony Davis trade if they
would have given away even more like given away Kuzma
if he would have been involved in it. The Danny Green.
Danny Green was good last night. He made some shots.
But that's a Polinka move. But it makes sense because
it again falls in line with the philosophy of Maggie Johnson.
(14:39):
And with the exception of the first game against the Rockets,
with the exception of the first game in the first playoffs.
With with those is the exceptions. This was Magic's plan.
His execution sucked. I'm not gonna sit here and tell
you that that he knew about personnel because he just
(15:00):
didn't work hard enough at it. It's okay, but many
of these pieces were brought in because Magic had the
we're not gonna be able to outscore Golden State. We're
not gonna be allowed to score Houston. The Clippers weren't
a factor at the time. We're not gonna be allowed
to score those teams. But we can do is we
(15:20):
can't keep ourselves in every game with defense. And then
we got Lebron and they don't, and the the idea
would be at some point they would add another player.
They're another player. When I watched the Lakers play last night,
when I look at the defensive stats of the l
(15:41):
A Lakers, and I look at how they how they
play in terms of pace of play, how they rotate,
how they buy in, how they stay in games when
they can't make shots. I mean, just look the the
(16:02):
Lakers of the team's remaining in the bubble allow the
fewest points in the paint. Everybody talks about three pointers,
but you know who wins most games. He who makes
the most layups. Hey, They're the best remaining team at
points in the paint. They're the second best remaining team
(16:25):
at opponents um second chance points. Their defensive rating is
was the best in the West this year. They're winning
games because of their defense. And then they have Lebron
and a d And you don't that was Magic's plan.
(16:46):
He's bad on Twitter. He wasn't a good head coach.
The truth is, it wasn't a great executive. Hey, he's
a lot more smile than substance outside of being the
greatest Laker of all time. But man, that dude had
a plan, and once they figure out how to execute it,
it's come to fruition. Be sure to catch the live
edition of The Doug Gottlieb Show weekdays at three p m.
(17:09):
Easter noon Pacific. Bruce Gradkowski. He had so much of
that monopoly money, he just kind of sprinkles it around
and throws it around. Eleven your NFL quarterback. Uh. He's
a Pro Football Focus analyst. You can follo him on Twitter.
Is a great follow at b Gradkowski five. Um, let's
not go. Let's we'll get to Patriots in a second.
I started the show saying this, Bruce, I think a
(17:32):
lot of people missed at the Chiefs as good as
and fun as they were last year. They hadn't been
the same since they lost Kareem Hunt as a running
back once they drafted Clyde Edwards. Hilaire, I don't think
they're as good as they were last year. I think
they're better. Am I am? I'm overstating it after just
one game. Well, I mean he's a stud you know,
(17:53):
and and thanks guys for having me on. I'm just
sitting on my monopoly money, you know, just counting that
while talking there you go, uh uh No, I mean
he's a stud man. It was good to see him
play well. I thought, you know, his his uh, how
he can make guys miss the tackles. He breaks and
makes guys miss with his cuts. One step cuts gets vertical,
(18:16):
so explosive. It was cool to see. It's like, did
the Chiefs really need one more weapon? And they got it?
So um. I think there's you know, I don't I
want to say concerns, but just like any game, especially
first game in season, there's stuff to clean up. You know.
I think there's a few throws Mahomes would like to
have back. You're missing easy TV pass on a quick out.
(18:37):
I think mahomes pressure rate was good on only eight
percent where Watsons was thirty. So um. And and you
know Mahomes had to turnover worthy played that was dropped,
the past that was dropped. So um. You know there's
things to clean up. But I think overall, if you're
the Chiefs, you've got to be excited going in getting
a big win against the Texans and Deshaun Watson because
(19:00):
you never know what that guy, that guy can do
to you. Bruce Gradkowski joining us here Doug Gottlip Show,
Fox Sports Radio. There's a there's a bunch of interesting games. Uh,
maybe the most interesting, I don't know how much to
be discussed is uh the Sunday night game you got
the Rams and the Cowboys, and I think a lot
of people are gonna focus on Doc because he's he's
(19:20):
a franchise Taggi and because of the weapons around him.
I'm more interested in Jared Golf right Like, they got
him a new running back. Um, they changed some of
the wide receiving corps. They're probably gonna you know, they
redo Cooper Cups deal. I'm I'm wondering your thoughts on golf.
Last year, people said, hey, let's make golf beat us.
(19:40):
They didn't make the playoffs because of it. What are
your thoughts on Jared Golf heading into this season with
the talent currently around him. Yeah, I mean I would
expect this this off season. I know they didn't have
a lot of off season through O, T A S
and stuff, but I think just another year in the
league and him understanding how worked him being with McVeigh um,
I I think he's gonna get better. Look the thing
(20:02):
about Jared Goff is when he's in rhythm and he's
feeling it and he's in that zone in a game,
he really does throw it better than a lot of them.
And he's just gotta be that guy. He's got to
be more consistent throughout games. Um in games and then
within week, weekend and week out. But if he can, man,
(20:23):
he sings it around the yard like the best of them.
So I'm excited to see what kind of wrinkles mcveab
has put in this offense with new offensive coordinator and um,
you know, Kevin O'Connell. I think he'll do a good job.
I think he understands he's done a good job. The
other places do that, but I think golf, like, I've
always liked the way he's thrown it, you know, Now
(20:44):
I think he has to take that next step. You're
getting a little older, You're you're now more of a
veteran on the team. You've gotten your big deal. Now
you've got to prove it. I was glad they signed
Andrew Whitworth back the left tackle. He's a great leader
for that offense. Uh, and they need that because gossip
a little quieter of a dude, and I think whit
works brings a lot to that offense. So we'll see.
(21:05):
I mean, but as long as you have Aaron Donald, um,
and they just paid uh my man. Uh, they just
Jalen Ramsey and so there's a lot of money flowing
around the defensive side of the ball. There there definitely is,
especially a couple of key positions. Bruce Gottkowski, Joss, what
are your thoughts on Doc? You know Dak? I like that.
I mean, he's a leader, he's reliable, he's accountable, he
(21:28):
stays healthy, he's young. Um, you know, look, he didn't
get paid this offseason, so I think he has a
chip on his shoulder and he's ready to rock. I think, uh,
Mike McCarthy, one of the best things he did when
he took the job is he kept killing Moore as
offensive coordinator, so terminology didn't have to change. The offense
didn't change. Now, just Mike McCarthy had to learn their bourbage,
(21:50):
their terminology, and I think that's gonna help him. And
now with the weapons, Man, you gotta be kidding me.
The weapons, you know Dak has, so I don't think
there's any excuses offensively, I mean I think, um, you know,
with Ceedee Lamb and these guys are Mark Cooper, Um,
they can make big plays. I want to see Dak
be more consistent with his accuracy. Sometimes he misses some
(22:12):
throws here and there, but he's athletic. He can make plays.
And then the offensive line. I want to keep an
eye on them. We're not talking much about that because
Tyron Smith is Zach Mark two of the best at
their positions, but the other three I have some concerns about.
So I want to see how well they can protect them.
The Green Bay Packers are gonna go into Minnesota. Now,
it's not gonna be the same Minnesota Vikings team that
(22:34):
many people thought just first. I mean, like, look that
that place is a tough place to play, with the
dome and the crowd, you know, to get off of
their defensive linemen there, there won't be that same same
sort of crowd. Additionally, and maybe this is an actual
bigger thing, crowds don't win games football players. Du Bruce
Gotkowski our guest, you're on the Doug Gotlip Show on
Fox Sports Radio. Um. Part of what makes the Minnesota
(22:56):
Vikings defense good is I mean, look those those two
defensive ends right, they picked up Yannicknackway, um, and you
would you would think that, you know, you you know,
you pair him with a stud over the other side.
The problem is, you know you've only got one of
the Daniel Hunters on I r um So how much
does that change the Packers taking on the Vikings when
(23:20):
Danil Hunter is out going against the Vikings defensive secondary
which has been totally turned over. Yeah, exactly. And there's
young guys on the in that secretary, so I would
think you've got to try to take advantage of that.
You know, you have Aaron Rodgers. But I think also
to the week spot of the Packers is who's gonna
step up in that receiving corps. Mean, you have Davante Adams. Um,
(23:40):
you know, I think he does an unbelievable job, but
you know, is it Alan Lazard? You know, how does
he step up? Does he continue to grow and get
better and be one of the guys and Rodgers can
lean on. So it's gonna be interesting to see. I think, uh,
from from word out of Vikings camp, I think they're
happy with what the young guys have been producing. They
(24:01):
have some of the best safeties in the league as well. Um,
and now can you get a pass rush on Aaron Rodgers?
I mean, and this this game is gonna be exciting
to watch because these are two of the teams that
are expected to compete for the division. Um. And where
my faith lies though in this game honestly is Gary
Kubiak and Kirk Cousins. I really think Cousins is the
(24:22):
perfect quarterback for this system. You guys remember Matt shob
and all those years in Houston with Kubiak. I mean,
this is it, This is what Kubiak. I mean, this
offense canna be really good with Dalvin Cook. I think
Justin Jefferson can't wait to see him. Adam feeling Back
is that veteran leader. Um so that's gonna be fun
to watch. So my money's on the Vikings this weekend
(24:44):
and we'll see. I'm hoping Cousins can start off this
season fast. You play a bunch of teams Tampa, Cleveland, Oakland,
since Santi Pittsburgh, so you know the league so well.
But when you go to each different team, unless you're
in the same system, the verbiage is different. Lot the
Reds are different, the style those are different. Uh, Brady, Obviously, look,
they evolved, they change based upon their personnel in New England.
(25:07):
But you know, but the vocabulary, the verbiage is completely different.
And the style for how Bruce arians wants to play
now seems different as well. How do you think that
messes early in the season. Well, those are great points
because you're right, the terminology changes. It's like you learn
a new language. And I've bounced around the league. I've
played at different offenses with different teams and coaches and schemes,
(25:29):
and it's the terminology. You know. Concepts are usually the same,
they'll be tweaked here and there, but what you call
things are different. How you process it might be a
little bit different. You know, if Tom Brady gets the
line and he needs to change of protection from going
to the right to the left, you know, that could
have been Louis in New England and now it's Larry
you know. And that's just an example. But it's just
(25:50):
how fast can you process this? With no O T
A s, no mini camps, just training camps. It's probably
taking some adjustments. But Tom Brady is the ultimate pro.
I think Bruce arians and those guys, they have the weapons.
They pushed the ball downfield, you know. Josh McDaniels was
a little more strategic and quick game, and it's running
back mismatches on linebackers. I want to see how much
(26:13):
of that they bring uh to Tampa. What are we
gonna see from what Tom Brady did in New England,
but they have the weapons. You know. I'm excited to
see them play Drew Brees and the Saints, but you
gotta look at it, man, Drew Brees and Champagne have
been together for a long time. They basically could finish
each other sences. So I'm going with the Saints in
that one. Okay, going with the Saints in that one. UM,
(26:35):
help me out with the New England. Um, New England
Miami game. New England's a six and a half point favor.
Miami beat them in New England last year, last game
of the season when the Patriots you think wanted to win.
Ryan Fitzpatricks are starting quarterback. He's always good at the seams.
He always be good at the start of the year. Right,
it's holding out of that job and then eventually people
(26:57):
kind of figure them out. Um, Miami's added of their
talent were as New England. I mean, they have more
guys who opted out because of COVID than anybody in
the league. They have a brand new quarterback who it
hasn't really hadn't played in like a year and a half.
And while we may be in awe of Cam Newton, like,
I don't know who he's gonna throw to. Their wide
receiving corps hasn't changed. How are they such sizeable favorites,
(27:22):
you know, And that's awesome to look at because it is. Man.
We look at Bill Belichick and he doesn't flinch. You know,
everyone else around him is making these big moves. I
think Brian Flores has done an amazing job in Miami
so far with the acquisitions through free agency and the draft. Um,
you know, bringing Byron Jones over Avian Howard's there. You know,
(27:42):
they have some good players, and Ryan Fitzpatrick always seems
to elevate the guys around him. You know. He's just
a cool, good leader that that the team loves to
play with and play for. So it's gonna be interesting, man,
But it's just hard for me to bet again. Uh,
Bill Belichick, you know, it's just the guy does than flinched,
you know, he kind of looked out. Cam Newton fell
(28:03):
to him, you know at it's late and you know,
offseason and Cam Newton though, has that chip on his shoulder,
you know, and out bet on a guy that you
know has that mindset all day long. I just hope
Cam Newts healthy I want to see what this offense
looks like, and like I talked about Josh McDaniels, he's
strategic attack in the middle of the field, short game,
quick game, Um you know, So I don't know. I
(28:24):
want to see how much do you utilize Cam Newton
in the run. But it's hard for me to go
against Bill Belichick, so I had to pick the Patriots there. Yeah, no,
I I fully understand. I don't get. I know that
Derwin James might be the best defense player in the league,
and I know that a lot of people aren't bought
into the the ceiling of Tyrod Taylor, But help me out.
(28:46):
The Bengals have been horrific for two years. And I
know you got mixed and back healthy, you got a j. Green,
But you got a guy who hadn't hadn't taken a
snap in an NFL game for a team that's been
the worst in the league over the past two years,
a defense and an offensive line that's been completely going
against the Chargers, who like look, they still have Ingram
and Bossa coming after you and a litany of talented
(29:07):
offensive players. I don't see that one being nearly as
competitive as Vegas does. Do you. Oh no, I mean
I think you're right. I'd have to agree with you there.
I think you know, this one's gonna be interesting along
with the rest of the season for Joe Burrow. I mean,
we did live at Bengals camp for NFL Radio, and
what a stud I mean, he's just poise, he's compelled,
(29:28):
he's a leader. I mean, it's it's very clear that
he is the guy. Like and I'm not just talking
about on the sheet of paper that says you're the starter.
It's like in the locker room, the guys gravitate toward him,
the coaches, the director of Player of Personnel, Duke Tobin.
I mean, so they love him in since and I
can't wait to see him in between the lines in
a in a heated game. I mean, he's our top
(29:50):
ranked passer of PFF in every category, but he blew
it out of the water verse pressure, so I want
to see how he handles it. Now. The Chargers, like
you said, they have multiple weapons. He pensively. The good
thing is, as a young quarterback going against the Chargers,
they're not going to give him a ton of multiple looks,
so it's gonna be more simplified. But it's just gonna
be good players. He's going again. Now, can a J. Green?
(30:12):
Can the weapons outside step up and make plays? Um,
you know that's gonna be fun to watch. But yeah,
I think Tyrod Taylor, this Chargers team has built how
they want to be, protect the football, rely on their defense,
makes some plays. Tyrod Taylor could use his legs. He's athletic.
So I have the Chargers in this one. I don't
think it'll be close, but I'm excited to see what
Borough brings because I think he's gonna be a really
(30:34):
good player, and I expect to have a good year
even as a rookie. Bruce great stuff man. Can't wait

Howard Coachell, Sorry, No, it's not bad, not bad at
all to do it when I was like ten leven. Yeah,
(32:27):
I used to think it sounded good, but I hadn't
hit Peper yet. This is Howard coach Cell anyway. Good
psychic who throws for more yards on Sunday Buccaneers quarterback
Tom Brady or his opponents on Sunday Saints quarterback Drew
Brees Tom Brady Drew Brees against each other same division? Yeah, dog, Yeah,
(32:50):
I died a dog and I think no, Um, Tom
Brady does no risk it, no biscuit. The freedom of
Bruce arians Arians came out I think earlier today and said, um,
tom Brady's arms actually stronger than it was last year. Strong,
Not bad, mother, I'm gonna go tom Brady alright. Psychic
(33:11):
who throws from more yards on Sunday? Tom Brady or
new Patriots quarterback Cam Newton. Who's who takes on the
Miami Dolphins? Uh, Tom Brady. Look, I think Kim Newton's
got a chance to win the game. I don't think
he throws a child. I think there's a lot of
they run the ball a lot with him and with
his teammates. All right, Psychic, what new coaches the best
(33:33):
debut with his new team in Week one? A bunch
of different options. Got Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys. Yeah,
little Joe Judge I always felt. I always felt that,
and I've told John and Ryan this that Joe Judge
is the name you make up when you can't think of,
like Dave Smith. There just I don't know name of guy.
(33:54):
Joe Judge. Yeah, you know you my friend Joe Judge, Right,
Judge Judge, Yeah, I know Judge. Defans getting them Browns
taking on the Ravens. Defans. Kevin Stefanski has the best debut.
Interesting because they have talent. They just were poorly coached.
And I think his fairly conservative style offensively and accountability
(34:16):
in Baker Mayfield, not being a fatty, all these things.
I think they play well. All right, Psychic, willmore coaches
were a face shield like Andy Reid did last night?
The answer is no. Apparently John Harball came out. It
was like, dude, that looks ridiculous. Right, He's like, I
will say this about the face shields and the face coverings.
(34:38):
You do find out really quickly if you have bad breath.
You don't have to ask anybody geez, what does that smell? Oh,
it's my breath. I tweeted out a picture last night
on Twitter, got about seventy retweets. Somebody else tweeted out
the same exact picture. A half hour later they got
hundred retweets, and then somebody else, and an half hour
after that they got sev retweets. Unbelievable, stupid twe it
(35:00):
her psychic Well. NFL ratings be down this season? Um, yes, yes,
I know they were substantially down last night. It's a
political season. Um. I do think that football looks and
feels differently with no fans in the stands. But I
think mostly politics the presidential election, uh, and the fact
that there's gonna be other options with the NBA Major
(35:23):
League Baseball, um, you know, gobbling up different hours than
they normally would. I I think, yes, they will be down.
The last year was Packers Bears. Remember it was just
like ten to three or thirteen to three. But Rodgers
got hurt first play? Was that the year? Know? Was that?
That was that? Two years ago? He got hurt first play?
Yet two years ago he had it was crazy, he
(35:44):
got he got hurt like in the first series. Right,
But you also have two proud franchises with you know,
pretty big fan bases. You know you get you get
an a f C team, You have two a f
C teams. An f C doesn't draw as well as
the NFC, right, um, and you know Houston's like a
made up team. So yeah, And you want to hear
