(00:28):
Ramo says here as well, it's a Friday holiday weekend edition.
Glad to have you with us, and and Jonas received
a tweets from Mike Miller, who asks the question, in
fact asked, asked all of us. No, not the former
NBA player, A difference, a different Mike Miller. Will there

(00:51):
be a John Ramos show today? John? Can you can
you give an answer? We're working hard and heavy right now,
Hard and heavy, hardened. You could have just said we're
working hard right now, but heavy was added to show
you just the amount that John is putting in on
this day, Hard and heavy. It sounds like a tag

(01:13):
team champion or something, you know. I thought it would
be like a pay per view events like wrestling. Southern
Pro Wrestling presents Hard and Heavy at the Montgomery Civic
Center Saturday night, seven o'clock Eastern time. But you guys know,
that's why we do the show in the third hour.

(01:35):
Jonas wanted in the fourth hour, but we do it
in the third hour because it takes a lot of
time and effort to get everything you know correct. Yeah, no, no, definitely,
I mean I wanted to do it in the first hour,
but you guys put it to the third job wanted
at three Eastern. What John doesn't realize is that then
he would have to do work before the show instead

(01:55):
of during. So this gives John two and a half
hours to prep for his show, which comes up at
the bottom of the hour. The The Chicago Bears have
prepped for this moment for a while, Jonas as they
welcome Mitchell Trobinsky back under center. Is they take on
the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night football? Yeah, well,

(02:18):
I mean he's their only hope. Just think about that.
Mitch Trobinsky is the bears only hope their offensive line stinks. Uh,
Nick Foles, man, I've never seen somebody require such serious
medical attention for an injury that wasn't as serious like
you thought something. I mean really, I mean, they brought

(02:41):
the card out. He couldn't move. It was like he
got thrown off hell in a cell like it was crazy.
So he's not he hasn't been practicing. He's out. Trabinsky
comes back off the shoulder injury. But the problem is
he Trabinsky's mobility is the only thing that can save
them at this point. The offense is brutal. The offense,

(03:03):
it's it's the worst Bears offense I think I've ever seen,
and I've been watching Bears football for over thirty years.
It's I've ever seen. Yeah, it's it's terrible, and it's
a lot of it is folds as a statue in
the pocket. The pocket collapses. There may be opportunities to scramble,
but that's not his game. And and with a banged
up offensive line, you've got to be able to have

(03:25):
a quarterback that can move out of the pocket. You
know this watching the Seahawks Russell Wilson. It's not like
the Seahawks have been loaded at offensive line in the
past several years. That's been a problem. Wilson's mobility save them,
and he's the reason why that offense is able to
to keep up and stay afloat and at this point,
Trabisky is the best option for them to try and

(03:46):
figure out anything on offense because there's still very much
in a playoff race. There's still there in the eighth
spot right now. They're a game out and some things
go their way and and the Bears could find themselves
sneaking in the back door a wild card spot. It's
the mobility fact. There was an issue for me when
they made the switch in the first place, that the
timing of it. You know, we we talked earlier in

(04:07):
the show about the tow situation with Ryan Fitzpatrick, and
I think that we all know because Ryan Fitzpatrick was
also caught off guard when he lost his starting job,
that the timing was just was unique. But there was
a bye week situation when Foles was brought in in
the off season. I think a majority of us figured, all, right, well,
this is gonna be his job. This is this is

(04:29):
going to be Nick foles job. And if it wasn't,
then Mitchell Trobinsky was going to be afforded every single
opportunity in the world to lose it and then they
would move on because they didn't pick up his options.
So you knew that this was going to be the
last stance. But when they made the move in in
week three, to me, it was, well, then why wasn't

(04:51):
this in week one and another? They got off to
a decent start. But it didn't seem to me that
when they pulled him at the time, that it warranted
in of them to make the move, that that Trabisky
was so awful. I didn't. I just didn't think that
was the case. And I thought it was a bad
move at that time. You now adding the injury stuff,
where over the last how many days we you know,

(05:12):
we've gotten different reports of the Yeah, is it's serious
or is it not serious? And now you go back
to Mitchell Trabinsky and now you're just wondering what what
is there to game? So now, so let's say Trabisky
lights it up, Are they signing him, you know, on
a different deal to come back next year? Yeah? I
don't think so. Like, I don't think that's the case.
You know, do we know if Matt Nage is gonna

(05:32):
be back next year? I mean, if this continues to
fall the way it is and the other bad the
other sad thing about it is you you know, if
you're a Chicago Bears fan, Allen Robinson is a good player,
Like like you talking about the bad Bear offenses, there
wasn't you know, and maybe I'm I'm forgetting, but I
mean you're hoping that Devin Hester can make big plays. Um,

(05:54):
you know, Brandon Marshall had some good flashes, you know,
during his time, but you know, Allen Robinson maybe the
best the bunch from what they've had in well, it's
what it. Mussin Mohammed said after he left the Bears,
he's all Chicago's where receivers go to die. That was
a direct quote from a Sin Mohammed who played for
the Bears. Um was on that that oh six super
Bowl team that lost to Indianapolis. But yeah, it's look

(06:17):
and all Sean Jeffrey, Um, you know, yeah you had
Brandon Marshall. Allen Robinson has been consistent and he's played
really well this year, not as much, but you know,
I don't I don't think you can put a lot
of that on Allen Robinson. It's just it's been terrible.
And yeah, on on you pointing out, look, if you're
gonna make the switch in week three, why didn't you
make the switch before week one? I agree it's it's

(06:39):
the same thing. I remember the Bengals fired their offensive
coordinator a couple of years ago, and they fired him
after Week two. Week two was a Thursday game. So
basically what the Bengals did is they gave their o
C ten days to save his job. It didn't make
any sense. Why didn't you just make the move eleven
days earlier? Like what why why go into the season

(07:01):
knowing that that guy was on that that thin of
of a leash or that short of a leash rather
when it came to his job. And so when Trabinsky
and by the way, they were undefeated, uh, they they
hadn't lost a game yet, they make the move to
Nick Foles, and I think they really wanted to see
what fools could bring them because from what I heard

(07:24):
my understanding from somebody who's who was pretty close to
the situation, Trabinsky had outplayed Foals in training camp virtually
the entire time. He was the better quarterback, had outplayed him,
and there were guys there that were waiting for them. Okay,
I think it's pretty clear he's the better quarterback. We're

(07:44):
gonna make the make the announcement, And they kept waiting
and kept waiting and kept waiting because they wanted to
give Foals every opportunity to win the job. They wanted
Folds to go win that job, and he didn't. So
it's not like Fulls won the job in the regular season.
They just were looking for any reason to make the switch,
and it had Folds not gotten injured the other night.

(08:07):
I think Folds is still the starting quarterback. So now
it turns into you've got Trabinsky back. His teammates love him,
the players there love playing with him. You've never heard
anybody say a bad word about him. And now you
just go out there and you see what he's got
and maybe he can rally around it. But the mobility
is going to be a big plus, and that's something
you just didn't have with Foles. I I find it's

(08:29):
it also reeks of somewhat desperation. It will be with
the coaching staff, for the front office with the full
you know, with the Fulls move because when a lot
of times when you look for a backup quarterback in
the National Football League, maybe you try to find a
few similar traits to what the quarterback has where you listen,

(08:51):
you're not gonna have, you know, you're not gonna have someone,
you know, Pat Mahomes or Patrick Mahomes, Gino Smith, isn't
Russell Wilson, Like there's you can't match those sort of things,
but you also don't want to completely change what you're doing.
Three to Lamar Jackson, Yeah, perfect, perfect example, perfect example.

(09:13):
You couldn't get maybe two opposite guys for for what
their strengths in Chicago. So now you know to your
point about the mobility and their offensive line, which was
another reason why I thought Trabsky was you know, as
you mentioned, maybe a better option because you you don't
have any playmakers. You don't have Tariko and at least
maybe your quarterback can make some plays with his legs,

(09:34):
and that's not allowed. I mean, there's they're bad situations.
Like I look at Matt Patricia and what happened over
the last two weeks with the Lions, and we know
that Matt Patricia's got some problems with Detroit and isn't
going to be back, But what's happened over the last
two weeks magnifieder to the three weeks. You know, you
you don't have DeAndre Swift as you're starting running back,
and then you make him you're starting running back, and

(09:55):
he has a magnificent day in Adrian Peterson says, I
don't know why this didn't happen weeks ago. You go
up again the Carolina team that doesn't have the starting
quarterback or starting running back, even though your team is shorthanded,
and you get blanked like when you look at like
what other teams are doing. When you look at you
know what the Bears are doing. There are sometimes moves
that you make and moves that you don't make that
can still, uh, you know, seal your fates in Chicago.

(10:17):
And the way that they've handled this quarterbacking position is
one that is it's not a damned if you do,
damned if you don't sort of thing. It's they've just
made the wrong decision at every single possible term. Keep
in mind, this is all this. This is also the
same team that gave Mike Glennon seventeen million, like like
this is look. I tried to tell everybody when they

(10:38):
were burying Cutler when he was there, said all right,
what do you see? Just wait do you see? Just
watch what happens. And now you've got Bear fans that
would give anything to have Cutler back like anything to
have to have that level of talent at quarterback. And
that's not saying Cutler is an all time great quarterback,
but he's by far and away the best quarterback in

(10:58):
the history of the franchise. And other part to your
point on the well, you know what does he fit
the offense? Look, if Andy Reid comes to you and says, hey,
we like this guy because he fits the offense, or
we like this guy because he fits the offense better
than somebody else, that's one thing. You know that's Andy Reid.
You know the Bills in the nineties, you know, running

(11:20):
that k gun or the running shoot back in the
day with the with the old time Houston oilers. If
somebody was brought in and said, listen, he's just not
a fit for our offense. I get it. That's an
established offense. What the hell is Matten n Aggie's offense?
His offense stinks. It stunk since he's gotten there because
he does some gimmick plays. You and I talked about

(11:41):
the first half against Green Bay in the in the
bears very first game under Matt n Aggie. It looked
like a college offense, and they built up like a
twenty point lead on Green Bay because there was no
answer for us that we've never seen anything like that before.
That was the peak of the matten Aggie offense. Terrible.
It's it's amazing because I was also on the heels

(12:03):
of the Khalil Mack thing. I tweeted like, who would
have thought? I I know, like I sent out a
tweet that night. I'm like, wow, Bears are gonna win
the Super Bowl in the next three years. Because I
tweeted it in the first half, I should have waited
for the second half and that would have really, you know,
given me the answer to to what happened. But yeah, no,
it was I mean, it absolutely was thinking back I
I you know, yeah, I think even sent out a

(12:24):
tweet as such, maybe during a game last week or
the game against the Buccaneers that they had. It's just
it hasn't been good. Granted they win that game against
the Buccaneers, but they just it's just been awful. It's
been bad. And though the warts have been revealed with
Matt Nagee in Chicago, and I don't know what they
are either, And it's you know, it's one of the
issues that I that I have with the Philadelphia Eagles
right now is I have no idea what team there,

(12:45):
I don't I don't even know what The Bears are
supposed to do. Pretty good defense, but that's about it. Yeah, No,
pretty good defense, but no, they're they're not a good
football team. And keep in mind, this is the same
Matt Naggi who turned the kicking competition into comic relief
like it was a clown show man. Because Cody Parky
gets a kick blocked. You've got Goose Island Beer company

(13:08):
that does a kicking contest in Chicago the very next week.
Any fan that can make a forty three yard field
goal in the snow outside it gets a free year,
a year worth of free beer. That was a kicking
contest that that Goose Island did and everybody had a
great laugh and at Chicago, and that's what they do.
Matt Naggy then brought nine guys in to to rookie

(13:29):
mini camp and was making guys kick forty three yard
field goals. He couldn't let it go. He just couldn't
let it go. It had to be a forty three
yard field goal. Uh. And then they would have players
yell at these kickers and one they did as they
did an article on it, and one of the kickers
who was a part of it came back going it
was really weird, Like it's like this obsessive thing. So

(13:51):
we're supposed to believe that that guy who couldn't even
handle a kicking competition in a normal way is gonna
be able to handle a quarterback competition in a normal way.
Like what is going on here? It's a disaster. The
great thing about double doing that nobody talks about is
that it wasn't that he missed the field goal, was
that it had multiple opportunities to go in and it didn't.

(14:13):
So then how bad of a kick could it have been?
And it was blocked? It was it was deflected at
the line that you can watch it on on replay,
So like, realistically, if if that's the game, like we've
we've seen some bad kicks in the NFL before, and
that wasn't one of them. And it also here's the
other the best part about that whole thing at the
end of that, when when the Bears come back and

(14:35):
Rabinsky plays a damn good fourth quarter and they come
back and take the lead, the Bears had an opportunity
to go up by seven because they were only up
by I think they were only up by five, if
I'm not mistaken. So they have an opportunity to go
up by seven, and instead of Matt Naggie and instead
of him going for the extra point or or running

(14:58):
a normal play to pick up a two point and conversion,
instead of doing that, Oh no, they went up by one.
I'm sorry. The Bears go up by one. Instead of
Matt Naggie going for two in a normal way, he
puts Khalil Mack in motion on a two point conversion.
And I remember watching it, going, what's happening? Here? Is
this like we're trying to bring back the fridge from

(15:19):
the goal line? What is going on? Like? None of
it made sense? And it's just and and here we are,
all these, all these years later, punished to get him
on Sunday night Football Day. Well, Jonas, you needed you
needed that, because I mean, in a game where so
many points were scored just sec Oh it was a
sixteen to fifteen games. So that's that's right, That's that's right.

(15:42):
The offense is we're really humming because the other offense
was let led by let me check here, who ran
the other Nick folds. Okay, all right, so there it is.
They're up fifteen to ten. Matt Naggie knows I need
a two point conversion here because we've got to make
sure that that at least it's a tie game and
we can on overtime. So I have to have this
two point conversion. Hey, where's Khalil? Kalil? Like, what's going

(16:06):
on here? It's just think none of it made me
sense to me. What are we running? Macatta macattack, macattack, macattack.
I don't get it. I just I don't understand, is what?
But you know what, so damn entertaining. That's so much fun.
U Dan Buyer, Jonas Knox, and for Doug Gottliep here
on Fox Sports Radio. You can get Dan on Twitter
at Dan Buyer on Fox. Coming up next, we will

(16:29):
get into the bottom of several storylines in the world
of college football. For the first time in a long time,
you will get a peek at a position played by
a woman, possibly a woman playing in an actual college
football game. We'll get into that here next on Fox
Sports Radio. Be sure to catch the live edition of

(16:50):
The Doug gott Leap Show weekdays at three pm. Easter
noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app. I'm Dan Buyer, He's Jonas Knocks. John Ramos
is here as well. New John Ramo Show comes up
in about ten minutes or so. David Gascon also waiting
at the news desk to give us the latest. Not
that I'm trying to uh take Dave's job today, but

(17:14):
Texas falls to Iowa State in one of the finals
earlier today in College Football twenty three to twenty to
talk about that and so much more in the college Game.
Joining us now covering college football and more for s I.
Pat forty joins us here on Fox Sports Radio. Hey Pat,
Happy Thanksgiving? How are you hey? I'm doing well, guys.
How about selves hanging in there better than Tom Herman? Um?

(17:36):
Does uh does today's loss have any effect on the
future of Tom Herman in Austin? It might, um, you know,
I don't know it depending. You know, Texas is one
of the schools, like basically everyone else, that has had
to make some some major financial decisions as far as uh,
you know, furloughed people, reduced staff, all those sort of

(17:57):
things in their athletic department. So it's not an easy
decision to swallow the money that it would take to
buy out Tom Herman and his staff. It's a very
well paid staff too, um, you know his versus Maybe
you try to ride it out for another year. But
this is this is the kind of loss that just
kind of epitomizes to me the whole Tom Herman tenure. There.

(18:19):
They are good enough to compete with everybody, and they
are error prone enough to lose to anybody. And that's
not what you want from Texas, if you even certainly
if you are Texas fan of Texas alonga Texas booster,
that's not what you're expecting, is that, you know, we're
just kind of trolling around around in the upper middle
class of the Big twelve and every game is going

(18:40):
to be close, and if we make just enough place
will win. But we could also screw up enough things
that we lose. Uh. That's you know, that's not really
the Texas that most Texas football fans sign up for.
Seeing that game and how it played out, and obviously
Iowa State who gets a big win, and we know
the conversation about Matt Campbell, which seems to get louder
and louder each here. That he's a potential NFL guy.

(19:02):
Does that game say more about where Ohio State is
headed or where Texas is currently at? Yeah? No, I
mean I think it's another great endorsement of Matt Campbell. Really,
you know, I mean that they they started off, they
were in danger of getting boat raced early. It was
tending nothing and it probably should have been fourteen uh,
and they just looked like they had no answers, and

(19:23):
then make some adjustments. They settled down and they started
making plays. And then near the end of the game,
they're trailing and they have a fourth and two in
their own side of the field. You know, inside of
I think five minutes to play in Campbell punts and
at the time I think it was the right to say,
but he trusted his defense that get a three and
out and then they go score the winning touchdown. You

(19:43):
know he makes the right decisions. Is his decisions turn
out well because you know, he doesn't have anywhere near
the talent level the Texas does. And for them to
be now just virtually assured of a spot in the
Big twelve title game, is you know, one more step
for him with that program. And yeah, if you're Michigan
or heck, if you're Texas, you can be looking saying
that guy knows how to coach up players who weren't

(20:05):
as good as our players. Maybe we should try to
get him to coach our guys. Pat Forty joining us
here at the Doug Gotlif Show on Fox Sports Radio.
He's Jonas Knox. I'm Dan bay Area, sitting in for
Doug on this day after Thanksgiving. So college football playoff
rankings come out. The field is set for the number
of teams that we have. Why was there even a
discussion of maybe expanding the field? Why why did we

(20:29):
have that? And why do you think that that the
College Football Playoff Committee and those in charge settled like,
let's just keep this baby at at four teams as
we move forward. Well, I think they said let's stay
at four because they don't know how to change anything,
Like there's so little flexibility involved with the decision makers
in college football. I said, it only took a hundred

(20:50):
and forty five years to come up with a playoff,
So getting him to go from four to eight or
six is like, you know, getting a battleship turned into bath.
That just they if the whole system is set up
to not move quickly or nimbly in response to anything.
I certainly understand the push to do it, because you know,
who the heck can really tell for sure whether if

(21:11):
you end up with an eleven or no Cincinnati versus
a one loss SEC team or versus even a seven
and o Ohio State team, how are you supposed to
say for sure definitively Ohio States better than Cincinnati, or
Florida is better than Cincinnati, or Texas A and M
is better than Cincinnati. You know, I mean, there's just

(21:31):
such disparate data, the lack of nonconference games. I think
it would have been smart. I think it would have
been quote unquote fair, because nothing's fair in let's understand that.
But I think it would have been more fair to
be more inclusive to more teams and have a better
way of deciding the champion. But you know, again, things
do not change easily, quickly or necessarily happily, even in

(21:53):
college football. Pat So obviously this stuff is going to
get worked out as we get later in the season.
So we make a lot of the weekly rankings because
it's fun to talk about and play what ifs and
different scenarios moving forward. Do you think Ohio State got
a little bit shafted by being put at four as
opposed to three, ahead of Clemson, who's already got a loss. Nope, no,

(22:14):
I would have had Clemson ahead of Ohio State myself.
You know well how Clemson's one loss is in double
overtime on the road to a very good Notre Dame
team without the best player in college football. I mean
that that's a pretty darn good mulligan right there. Ohio State. Uh,
their schedule had been terrible until they played Indiana. It

(22:35):
was a good game. Indiana is a good team, wins
the game by seven against a top fiftenish team. Well,
Clemson beat a top ten Miami team seventeen. I mean
blew them off the field. I attended that game. It
was never close. So I think if you look at
the data and you can factor in the absence of
Trevor Lawrence at South Bend, I think Clemson has had

(22:59):
the their season so far than Ohio State. Uh. This
game is going on, so I'm gonna ask you for
your in game prediction or at least what we see.
But um, this Notre Dame have to win convincingly. Can
they survive this with a loss to North Carolina and
then another win against Clemson. But what is what does
Notre Dame have to navigate here in the second half

(23:20):
and for them in the future. Yeah, I mean certainly
winning winning makes things a lot better. Uh, you don't
want to lose this game, but it's it's not a
catastrophic loss that you do because you as you said
they would, they would still be on track unless they
lost again for an a c C Championship game rematch
against Clemson. You beat Clemson a second time and then

(23:41):
there you go. But uh no, clearly, like if you
want to be really assured of your positioning, you win
this game. North colin has pretty good teams. A road game,
it's gonna it looked like it's gonna be a shootout.
It's settled in. I expect in the second half. I
think Notre Dame is a better team. Um, I think
Notre Dame's defense it's just better than North Carolina's defense
when it comes to show it slowing down really good offenses.

(24:04):
So you know, I expect Bill Billy the clerk lely
I'm sorry, the defensive coordinator for Notre Dame, to continue
to have some adjustments there that slow down North Carolina
and I think Notre Dame wins the thing in the
second half, but it's gonna be fun to watch. Pat
last one for me. Sarah Fuller, who's a soccer player
for Vanderbilt, is actually set to dress with Vanderbilt the

(24:25):
football team. They're at Missouri. She's made the trip with
them to Missouri and if she sees action, first time
ever a Power five has had a female player and
she will be kicking for Vanderbilt tomorrow. How did this
get into motion? Can you tell us a little bit more?
Do you know sort of how this conversation started and
what this could look like coming up tomorrow? Yeah, well,

(24:47):
I think you know, Vandy has had a lot of
a lot of turnover player wise. You know a lot
of players who have missed time with COVID that sort
of thing, roster turn so you know they're they're looking
for a kicker. Uh and lo and behold, they've got
a good one on an SEC championship soccer team goalkeeper there.
She's got a powerful leg. They asked her to come out.

(25:08):
She comes about to practice and starts making field goals
and they're like, hey, you know, we'll we'll suit you up.
So my guess is she's going to play I you know,
I don't think if you're Vanderbilt and you're winless you
go to this extent and put the publicity behind this
and then have her just sit on the sideline and
don't bring her up something at some point in time.

(25:28):
So my guess is we're going to see history, Megan.
I think it's pretty cool. The back of her helmet
will say play like a girl, which will be uh,
pretty cool to see when she suits up. Pat, we
appreciate the time. We know it's a holiday week and
also a crazy day. I'll look through it again soon,
but join the rest of the weekend. Appreciate it. Thank
you guys, Mary, Happy Thanksgiving. I don't want to get
them out of myself than we appreciate it. Uh. Dan

(25:53):
Buyer Jonas knocks in for Doug Gottlieb here on Fox
Sports Radio. Dan, Quick, how do you think that? I mean,
she's kicking and a kick gets blocked? Is she just
fair game? Like? Is this like we're just we're okay
with that. Well, if if Derek Mason was Matt Naggie,
he would bring in uh, you know, other sports teams.

(26:15):
He has to try to kick forty three yard field
goals of course. Yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, the local
uh you know who yeh, whoever's working at you know,
Wendy's will bring in by the way, it's it's all
kind of come full circle with this last thirty minutes
that we've talked about, because I don't think that people
really realize how difficult it is to kick a football,
just let alone from distance, and so what she's doing

(26:39):
nine percent of people out there could not do, you know,
and and so so to to wrap it up with
the Bears talk that we had with the bar contest,
I I would be surprised. I don't know how many
guys made a forty three yard or like like, like,
the kicking in football is just a different deal, and

(27:00):
I don't think people realize how big of a deal
it is. And so it's a really big deal with
Sarah full of getting out opportunity as well. Yeah, I
tried to in practice in high school football. I kicked
an extra point and I made it. But the problem
was I kicked it straight on, so I busted up
my front toe now and the ball skimmed over the crossbar.

(27:20):
So I had so little height on it that it
skimmed over the crossbar. From twenty yards out, it looked
like a UFO because was going sideways and that over end. Yeah,
it was. It was terrible, all right, Dan Buyer, Jonas
knocks him for Doug Gottlieb here on Fox Sports Radio.
Get Dan on Twitter at Dan Buyer on Fox. Coming
up next, It's the moment you've all been waiting for.
It is the most talked about segment any time we

(27:43):
fill in for Doug Gottlieb. It's the John Ramos Show.
It's yours next. Be sure to catch the live edition
of The Doug Gottlieb Show week days at three p m.
Easter noon Pacific. He's Jonas Knocks. I'm Dan Buyer and
uh Jonas. John Ramos is here as well. Hi, everybody,
it's John Romos. It's Thanksgiving time, the holidays, and so

(28:05):
we let everybody take a little bit of the time off,
and so we present to you today on this Friday,
the day after Thanksgiving, John Romo Show. You may remember,
may not have. It's the best of the John Romo Show. Enjoy.
Oh my god, John's at work. John Ramo Ramo Show.

(28:31):
This is the John Romino Sports on Box Radio. Here's
John Ramos. He says exactly what Suzanne tells him, just saying,
shut up, get off. All right? She was playing in
Santa Barbara soon all right, Jesus twice. Great show for
you tonight. It's a forget pro Friday. Make sure to

(28:52):
always use the hashtag the John Romins Show. What have
you forgot? Was it the keys to your car? Maybe
your phone? Or like the Memphis Grizzlies, you forgot how
to win? I want you to share your forgetfulness with
me if you can remember, I want to hear from you,
and I'll share your thoughts live on the air. Come
up later on the show. It's been a little wet

(29:12):
and cold out there, so I'll give you my power
rankings for umbrellas and coats. Also, I know, I know
it's a National Puppy Day, but screw that. It's also
a National Near Miss Day, an annual reminder of the
day in nine when an asteroid nearly collided with the Earth.
What are some of your favorite near misses? Almost running
over a co worker Sometimes it can be called a
close call to like I had a close call today

(29:35):
when I almost had to talk to my wife before
I left for the show. Today, my psychic bride has
gone today. I heard he's with some friends today. So
Eric is here with me. Eric, it's Friday, and let's
just break it down. Let's forget about this whole opening monologue.
Just do the bare minimum. Yeah, that sounds good. Knock

(29:58):
knock seriously knocking, Yeah, yeah, knock knock. Okay, who's there?
Definitely not Kauai? Not Kauai? Who definitely not Kauai? Not playing?
That is? Is this best of or worst of? It
was a long one. I knew that before I started
coming up. Coming up next? Can Lebron James play in

(30:19):
the NBA till he's a hundred years old? We'll talk
about it next on the John Ramos Show. Do you
think the best of it is just one whole episode?
Do you think he's taking like three different segments from
various ones. Eric Roberts hasn't done a show with us.
I know how to prove h. We'll find out. Let's

(30:39):
give it up from Mozart episode I love to roll
in Onmadeus. We'll talk about that in our in depth interview.
We have a great poll question. You go to the
John Ramos show to vote, and that's always used the
hashtag the John Ramo Show. Don't forget Today it's National
Horse RATEAG Day. I like sweet horseradish, Dan, what kind

(31:02):
of horse radish do you like? Okay, now it's time
for one of our fan favorite tests we prepared for
NFL free agency. We need to separate the truth from
the lies. Fraud, fault, nonsense, smoke screen, misdirection, led it out.

(31:27):
Let's bring it Dan, Jonas and Steve to see what
the Chargers and the free agency. Oh wait, where am
I at here? First form, first, first read through to
see if they can spot the difference between these scenarios
coming up into our free agency. Okay, let's start with Dan. Dan,

(31:49):
Tom Brady will sign with the Chargers in free agency?
Is that fraud nonsense, a smoke screen or misdirection? That's nonsense. Nope, Dan,
it's a smoke screen for one. Next step is Jonas?
Jonas Cam Newton would be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Is that fraud nonsense, A smoke screen and misdirection. It's

(32:11):
a misdirection, Sorry, Jonas, that was a fraud. Let's finish
up with Steve. Steve Philip Rivers will sign with the Colts.
Is that fraud nonsense? Smoke screen or misdirection? Smoke screen? Close?
But that was actually nonsense. You sure about that? I

(32:35):
know it. Nine million percent was about to say clothes fraud, fault, nonsense,
smoke screen misdirection. Should I quit the John Ramos Show?
That's electronics super But by the way, for those that

(32:59):
are just two in, this is a real radio show
and this is the best of the John Robins Show.
John John is in studio. But sorry, Hanson's with us.
Oh boy, I can't get enough of these guys. Let's
hear for Hanson what happened to Mozart. I know everyone

(33:20):
on social media is going crazy right now for Hanson,
and don't forget to stick around their in depth interview
with me at the end of the show. Also coming up,
I know you've been waiting for this, everybody. I'll give
you my fantasy football picks for all the eight sixteen
team two quarterback non flex PPR NFC South guys who
played in the A C C Atlantic Division leagues. So

(33:41):
heads up for that. Keep and I on Bucks kicker
Robert Aguayo late round steal. Plus this is one of
my favorite things ever. I'm gonna read drought NBA expansion draft.
Would you still take BG Armstrong Number one? I know
I wouldn't, But right now, in the spirit of flask Friday,

(34:02):
here are the best places to hide your flask when
your kids are snooping around. Number ten in the sock drawer,
Number nine in your jacket pocket due to time constraints,
and and I'll move ahead in the program. Number two

(34:24):
in your wife's purse, and number one in your kids backpack.
All right, yeah, right next to the trapper peeper. Why
would they look for where homework is? Right? That's smart place. Yeah,
I cover it up with a pea chee folder. That's
all the time we have for tonight. A big thanks
to everyone who tweeted and using the hashtag the John

(34:45):
Rombo Show. Also thanks to Hanson for being tonight's special guests. Sorry, boys,
we'll have to get to your interview next time and
I'll catch you on the back side. Oh madd the
best of the John Ramos Show. Okay, what's the real

(35:07):
reasoning we did the best of John Robos Show. What's
the real reason John didn't want to rute a script?
Is my guest's wondering. Hi, everybody's John Romos. You know
what I like fraud? Fraud literally sounds like a toy.

(35:30):
What I love is we had timely topics like even
though it was a best I mean, Philip Rivers did
sign with the Colts, but it was it was too
good for John to leave on the cutting room floor
that he had to include that. Hey, man, when you
get when you call him the best dub, that's what

(35:50):
you get, man, You know that stuff. The Memphis Grizzlies
were the playoff picture for most of last season, yet
we have a joke about them not winning games. So
funny man, Oh mad, oh my god. Well, you gotta
give people off. It's Thanksgiving time. It's a holidays, as
I said in the in the pre show, So you know, yes,

(36:11):
that's brilliant. H he is John. By the way, John,
if people want to critique the latest edition of the
John Ramos Show, where can they do to where can
they go to? Do that? Please hashtag the John Ramo Show. Okay, yeah,
so just put the hashtag and don't tweet out anybody.

(36:31):
Just just hashtag Twitter John Romo. All right, there, it
is all right, Dan Stocks And for Doug Gottlieb heer
on Fox Sports Radio. We've got pressing topics in the
world of sports, and we'll have those for you next
year on FSR. Be sure to catch the live edition
of The Doug gott Leap Show weekdays at three p m.
Easter noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the Heart

(36:54):
Radio app. He's Jonas Knox, I'm Dan Buyer, John Ramos
here as well as we are sitting in for Doug.
Don't worry, we're gonna be around for another hour with
you here on Fox Sports Radio. Uh. Well, you know
we've talked about Bucks Chiefs quite a bit, Jonas, with
this game coming up on Sunday. You know, I mentioned
earlier that I think people treat Tampa as like a

(37:15):
two win team, but they're really a seven win team.
If they get boat raced by the Kansas City Chiefs,
what do you think the reaction will be about the
Buccaneers after week twelve? Oh, tom Brady's failure. You know,
they're not much better off with with Tom Brady instead
of Jamis Winston. Blah blah blah blah. It just that's

(37:36):
that's how this is gonna go. And unfortunately they've now
been labeled they they've bulls eye has been put on
their back, a bull's eye that's usually reserved for a
team that just won a Super Bowl. They were a
sub five hundred team a year ago, but because Tom
Brady joined them, now they've got this target on their
back to where they're getting all the conversation, all the talk,

(37:58):
and and the fact of the man there is when
they've been bad this year, a lot of times that's
been in prime time, a lot of times that's been
in these in these big marquee matchups, to where look
that the Monday night game against the Giants, they didn't
look all that hot. They won the game, but they
didn't look hot the Thursday game against Chicago, obviously, Sunday
night against New Orleans, Monday night against the Rams. So

(38:21):
because of that, that's all just added fuel to the
fire and all the criticism that comes with it. I
think it's any any team with a formidable defense that
they've gone up against, they've had troubles. Bears are pretty good,
Rams are pretty good. Saints can now get after you.
You know, Green Bay doesn't have that defense, and it's
one of the reasons why I think they handled green Bay,
and it's one of the reasons that I think Green
Bay has a problem. I also find it interesting this

(38:43):
Bruce Arians versus Tom Brady narrative, and it's because Arians
is christ you know, talking stuff and you know, mentioning
it and pressed availabilities about Brady's play. I just did
some number crunching over the week, and here's a quick
stat in the first year with Bruce Arians, Tim Couch
at twenty one interceptions, Big Ben through eleven interceptions, Carson

(39:03):
Palmer through twenty two interceptions, Jameis Winston which was last
year thirty interceptions. So the first years with Bruce Arians,
when he's been in those systems over the last twenty years,
there's someone who's running an offense or is their head coach.
It's taking a while for quarterbacks to adjust. Even if
you're the goat with Tom Brady, it's still taking a
while to adjust. Here's my favorite part about all that. God,

(39:24):
should Bruce Arians really be criticizing his quarterback like that.
He's like, Aaron him, Aaron him out in publicly? What's
he doing? Yeah, because Brady wasn't used to that, because
Belichick was so warm and fuzzy all the time with
with the media when it come to critiquing his team.
Come on, man, he's a big boy. Everything's gonna be fine.
There's nothing wrong with calling out your quarterback from time

(39:45):
to time. Let's just relax, just like when we call
out John Ramos for you know, John Ramos show that
he doesn't want to put any work in over the
Thanksgiving holiday. Even the goats like John Ramos aren't into it.
