(00:26):
you Dug out Leave Show Fox Sports Radio. I hope
you had a great weekend, better than my picks bad? Sorry,
I can only go on a hot strike, can't like
vegaels will start like figuring me out here, like knocking
the door. Who is it Vegas? Why you're killing us? Sorry?
I'm bad? So I you know, it's like the it's

(00:47):
like you know, when you when when you see guys
get uh not not snookerd at pool? What's the what's
it called when you you're like, you're really good and
you pretend to be really bad and you lose on
purpose and then all of a sudden you you yeah,
sandbagging is one. Um, there's another term for it, right,
I'm trying to think what it is. I'll have to

(01:07):
look it up. I just my brain is mush mush,
because I watched a lot of football yesterday. Do you
ever get done? Watched a bunch footbay Like, I got
a lot of football. I didn't move for seven straight hours.
You know. It's like it's like you feel like bed sores.
Like man, I got like a like a couch sores.
I didn't move, But I loved it. I loved it,

(01:28):
and I think, look, there's there's levels to it. The
New England Patriots continue to look magnificently coached, and as
I told you a couple of weeks ago, they're getting
ready to play the Chargers and the Charges people, like,
it doesn't make any sense that they're not winning more
games because they're really good on tape. Quarterback makes good decisions,
they got good players that play hard. Schematics are all
lined up, and now they're starting to win games. And

(01:51):
it wasn't just that they want a game. They beat
a team that has a lot of talent in Cleveland
and they disemboweled them. It's a that's a great word,
isn't it When you because if you use this emboweled normally, like,
but if you did use this embowel in a football sense,
you're like, oh okay, yeah, I get what that means.
It's still gross, but it's kind of cool gross. I

(02:13):
don't know if I'm making any sense there. Disemboweled You like, Ramos,
do you like the term disemboweled? Uh, yeah, it's kind
of a it's not really too gross. Like the term
itself isn't like wow, that's really it just kind of
says something that happened, but it's not very what's the word,
not profane, but you know the word that's kind of
like a not profane, not profane, but graphic graphic, And

(02:36):
you know, you understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying
they actually took up you took a knife and cut
them open and disemboweled them. I'm saying they disemboweled them.
I think I'm making sense there. I don't really know
if I'm making sense there. Anyway. It seems like a
term that somebody who uh kills what they eat or
only eats what they kill uses every day. Have you

(02:59):
ever been hunting, Jason, never once? Ramos, I have, not,
Doug Buyer, Nope, really no hunting. You mean like bird
hunting there, like animal hunting well, like deers, well, like
deers and things like that doesn't tell me any kind
of hunting, any kind of hunting you would like to

(03:19):
to share, feel free to share. No, I have done none,
but I didn't know if you meant like, you know,
game hunting for like you know, deer or you know
not like tigers and stuff like that, but you know
as opposed to like you know, um, hands, do you
hunt hands? No, we don't hunt quail. Okay, quail is one.

(03:43):
There's other birds bargain hunting if that counts. If looking
for a good deal around town. I'm sure John has
done that. Did anybody see the rooster down? I don't
even know. I'm like, I know John. He John felt
like he misspoken. Then he tries to fix it. It's

(04:09):
not being fixed. Not not being fixed. Um, so you
didn't answer the question you were asking. Have you hunt? Yes,
I've hunted for quail, dove hunting, gone, deer hunting. I
enjoy fishing a great deal, although I just I need

(04:30):
somebody with all of the stuff and to tell me
where to cast. And I've gotten to where I can
cast myself. And I take my daughter like to local
down to the ocean or whatever, and to some local
like I know how to do some of the basic stuff,
but not really. You know, I'm really bad with notts.
I wasn't a boy scouting like, well, you know what
you're gonna and you're like, I don't. I mean, all
I know is time my sninkers. That's definitely didn't serve

(04:53):
and nom um. I mean we were raised in Orange County,
so we have yes. But in Oklahoma. I lived in
Oklahoma for three I mean it's in the Indiana for
South Bend. It was in in Oklahoma for parts of
like seven years. And then in Connecticut. There's a lot
of a lot of deer hunting up there. I never
went up there deer hunting. The problem with deer hunting
is early in the morning, and I've never been. I

(05:15):
have a buddy who's got a big he's a big
duck hunter and Parsons Kansas. They have a duck cabin
and they just have the time of their lives. And
the thing about duck duck hunting is you go into
one of these blinds and they got a little like kids,
and they cook up some breakfast and they eat. Because
the problem with hunting deer and there's I think we're
getting close to black powder season here um Wisconsin's gun

(05:38):
deer season ever loof starts on Saturday. Okay, there you go.
That's a big day. It's a big like people like
dudes geek out of this stuff. The problem with deer
hunting I found is one, you're in a stand. Okay,
so I like the time I went up, They're like,
you're up in that stand. So you gotta like climb
up a tree. I mean there's a ladder, right, But
then you're basically sitting in a tree and it's early

(06:00):
in the morning. You can't really have anything to eat
because you know, like with you because it makes noise,
Like I can't really do coffee because they smell it,
so you can't make any noise and super quiet and
it's really serene for a while. But again, like think
about if you're in the middle of nowhere. There's no
airplane sounds, there's no ambient noise, there's no cars or whatever.

(06:23):
You're just in the middle of somebody's like wooded field,
and then there's a clearing off in the distance and
you gotta wait until some deer comes like hopping along
and eating and then you gotta shoot the poor thing.
I struggle with I never I haven't shot a deer.
My kids have. Actually I've not shot a deer um.
But you're up there and I I fell asleep, And

(06:44):
it's dangerous to fall asleep because you're up in a
tree like you can some of them have like a
little almost seatbelt where you can lock yourself to the tree.
But yeah, I fell asleep. I fell asleep. I enjoyed hunting,
like doing uh, shooting dubs. Those are cool. Like we
went we were in West Texas or whatever. We went
that Like that was fun, a little dangerous because you know,
you got to line up in a certain way because

(07:06):
then you're like they they're sitting on a wire and
they come flying. You got to shoot and make sure
you're not You're not the spread your spray doesn't shoot
anybody else anyway. What are gonna say, by are you
sound like you want to hop in? Well, I'm sorry, no,
I it's a it's a really big it's a really
big deal. Phil. By the way, to tweet us hustling,
it's like when you when you hustle people. Yeah, that's

(07:26):
the same as sandbagging though, Yeah, sand bagging hustling, same
same thing. Thank you, Phil. For listening to the show
and for for joining us. Um, how did they get
to deer hunting? Where was I in this thing? Trying
to think? I think you were talking about No I
I had said that disembowe seems like a term someone
who eats what they kill. Often. Yeah, like my kids,

(07:47):
and they're not like I don't think there's sociopaths or whatever,
but they've been uh, my wife's parents house. They went.
It was like two years ago, years two years ago Thanksgiving,
I think they were there and they went deer hunting
and I don't know who shot one whatever, and then
they watchton, you know, and they disemboweled it, they clean it.
It's a lot, it's a lot. I struggle with that,

(08:09):
but yeah, it's definitely disembowed. That's what disembowled is. And
that's what happened to the Browns, as well as the
fact that half of the Brown's uniforms are in fact
great hunting outfits. Right that that bright orange don't shoot me,
that's a that's a good thing there there. Now I
brought full circle. Everybody good with that? Sure, whatever, what
are you talking about? Gott leave rambling. But I had

(08:31):
a friend tell me once in broadcasting and he said, look,
this is in all businesses. You can be right and
you can be out of a job. You can be
right and you can be out of a job. Um,

(08:51):
there's a famous sportscaster. I'll just tell you, like, I'll
give you one um less, I give you his name,
m Bob Costas. Per example. Okay, Bob Costas has you know,
railed against the violence of the National Football League, right,
and about the contradiction in the league wanting player safety,

(09:13):
and yet you're still having guys march out there and
they still hit each other. Right, There's a there's a
conflict there. He's real on several things. He lost his
job with NBC because Bob Costas is as decorated a
sportscaster as there has ever been in the business. And
by the way, he's quite good. There really isn't anything
he doesn't do well. He may not be the best

(09:35):
play by play at you know whatever, but he's really good.
He may not be the best, you know, commentator in
terms of you know, giving you know, a thirty second
dissertation back when he did Sunday Night Football, but he's
really good. He may not be the best you know
host of the Olympics ever, but he was really like
he's not be the best at talking to baseball, but
he's in the Bob Costs is an amazingly talented guy,

(10:00):
but he lost his job at NBC because he was right.
But just because you're right doesn't mean you can say
it right. Just because you're right doesn't mean you can
say it. And I watched Baker Mayfield the other day
and I'm like, you know what, Odell Beckham Jr. Is
right Or Odell Beckham Senior is right, and but you

(10:21):
just can't say it. You can't say it. You know,
there are things in every job in which you're right.
This is probably a bad plan, but if the boss
and boss's bosses tell you, you you gotta do it, I
don't like him. As long as it doesn't hurt another
human being and doesn't violate somebody similarities. And like this

(10:42):
is the play, Like I don't know if this is right.
Like you may be right, but you may be out
of a job. Take take Jerry McGuire. Remember how Jerry
McGuire started, right, he said an email, Hey, we're getting
away from what this is all about. Like we're in
agenting where it's supposed to be the people business. We're
supposed to care about these people. This supposed to be
a relationship. And you know what happened is out of

(11:07):
a job. And that's what happened to Odell Beckham Jr.
Like he wasn't wrong about Baker. Baker is not good
enough to be a thirty five million dollar yr quarterback.
He's not in a true a true franchise quarterback. But
you can't say it. He's not playing particularly well. The
offense isn't seamless. I have no problem with you thinking

(11:31):
all the things. You can't say those things. I have
one of my three children, I won't name which one,
but this child has zero filter, you know, and more
than one time she has got like I've got I said,
she okay, So it's one of two kids. She has
gotten in a little trouble at school because she's just

(11:52):
like dad. Their breath was so bad and I just
couldn't handle like, So you said something. Yes, I had
a teacher, Miss Hemker, when I was a kid, and
it sounded it smelled like during every break she would
go grill a cigarette and pound a cup of coffee,
and then during lunch grill a cigarette and then pound

(12:13):
a cup of coffee. And she did not like me.
And you know what, I didn't like that she didn't
like me, and she would teach me, like over my
shoulder everything I did. And then she's breathing in my face.
My face felt like it was melting. But I was
in fourth grade at the time. I'm ten years old.
You know, I can't say, hey, miss Hempker, your breath stinks.
I have a child that would say that to another adult,
Like there are things you think but you can't say.

(12:39):
And I think that's what happened with Odell Beckham June.
We'll see how much he has in the tank, right,
because it doesn't work the other way around. There was
no there wasn't anybody point out here's where Odell didn't
run the route right, Here's where he dropped the football right.
Why because you can think it, but you can't say it.
Here's Baker on the way the game went. We just
need to find ways to win because teams are gonna

(13:00):
play us differently. We just need to find ways to win.
And that's, you know, obviously stating the obvious, but that's
the truth. So whatever it takes, and we need to
do that. Everybody in our building has to look in
the mirror and just kind of re evaluate the accountable
to themselves to each other because we're we're sitting somewhere
where we thought we'd be in a better place right now,
but we're not. So it's, uh, it's time to reevaluate,

(13:21):
and uh, everybody needs to hold themselves accountable. They were
disemboweled on national TV by the New England Patriots, and
I gotta tell you Mac Jones pretty good, right, and
and we're going to talk about Kyle Shanahan coming up.
We're gonna pick tonight's game. But it was wildly reported,

(13:41):
widely replaced so many people that Kyle Shanahan wanted Mac
Jones and then they settled on Trey Lance. And while
Kyle Shanahan is under some sort of pressure because they
haven't won a game at home and now they take
on the Rams and he's got Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey
Lance is not ready yet, some part of me goes like,
you know, we had it right. But by the way,

(14:04):
have you noticed that Kyle Shannion never once has said, hey,
I wanted a different guy. I got overruled. They made
me take Trey Lands. Be sure to catch the live
edition of the Doug gott Leap Show weekdays at three
p m. Easter Noon Pacific Doug Gotlip Show, Fox Sports Radio.

(14:27):
All Right, I don't have a lot to feel good
about this weekend with my picks, although overall we're at
fifty six point nine percent. We'll go round up to
college picks with pro pis um. Purdue did not cover
Ohio State. Clemson did not cover against Yukon. They it
was a forty point line. They wont to seven. That
was a lot of points. I did. I picked Texas

(14:47):
to cover. I mean, by the way, like I get that, Sark,
it's a mass yeer one. But that's an incredible story
for Kansas football, right, Like, that's an incredible old story
for Kansas football. A walk on who had never played
uh fullback until this week, you know, catches the two

(15:09):
point conversion to win the game, fifty seven fifty six.
Like that's at sports, just that sports, and it's fantastic,
fantastic um crazy stuff. Why did you watch any of
that game that Texas game takes? Yes, I did, and

(15:31):
and I there was a lot with that. I watched
the end of I probably watched him the I don't know,
third quarter. I started the when Kansas is up like,
and then saw Texas you know, creep back in and
creep back in, and probably watched from about the middle
of the fourth quarter on and then over time, I
mean that Texas coming back was pretty amazing. Yeah, and

(15:52):
and and I actually I thought that Kansas had lost
their opportunity because they had the football. They ended up
punting it back to Texas. They ran through straight running
plays to get Texas to use all of their time outs,
but punted it back to the Longhorns. And I thought
that they really just they played too conservatively, like you
should have tried to get the first down through the air.
Texas knew you were gonna run, So then for for

(16:13):
them to have the opportunity to be able to win
it in overtime wash was something that it really was
crazy just of how it all played out. And you
have to have a not a lot went everything. Not
a lot went Kansas is way in that that fourth quarter,
So I didn't think it was going to happen in
that overtime. But then to your point, to see how
it did happen probably made the story even better. Oh

(16:35):
I I no doubt it made the story better, No,
no doubt about it. It's incredible, really incredible. Um. But
for for Kansas to win it, it's one thing to
win it, win a big twelve game. It's another thing
to beat Texas. And you can say whatever you want,
like Texas is budget is I think it's two and

(16:56):
a half times out of Kansas. Like Kansas, any money
they get for the athletic department they put into basketball anyway,
and to win that game is awesome, I mean just
awesome for those kids. Um, I mean they're you know,
they get the bunt of all these jokes all the time,
and you know they're they're no, no, they're not dummies.
You know they know what people are saying about them.

(17:17):
And they just turned around one a game. I didn't care.
It's great, so good, so very good. Um Okay, so
here the pics that went right get everybody on message.
A chicker cha pray like what why? Because he had

(17:37):
talented finally nailed at Gottlib. Okay, I've been I've been
on the Jim Harbaugh better than not maybe better than expected,
But this thing has not been as bad as people
want to make it out to being like they've recruited, Well,
they've been a good they obviously last year was bad,
but last year there's a lot of weird stuff, right.

(17:58):
Penn State couldn't win last year, They couldn't win best
year Indiana one last year and I can't win. Now.
You take that one out and you're like, yeah, they're
pretty good, and uh, I saw them beating Penn State.
Take a listen, Michigan takes on Penn State. Uh, Penn
State's season went south when their quarterback got hurt at Iowa,

(18:20):
and even though he's back, they've never really recovered. Michigan
I still think should have been Michigan State. Um, you know,
I think that that showdown against o Higo State's gonna
be one for a playoff. I know they don't throw
it all that Well, they're a one and a half
point favorite in Happy Valley. Give me Michigan it's not

(18:40):
all bad, and go to the NFL where Um I
remember saying this about Buffalo. The Jets take on Buffalo.
Buffalo is a twelve and a half point favorite, this
after they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Well, the Jets
are starting Mike White which gives everybody a ton of
confidence because he played oh well last time he was

(19:01):
a starter. And the Jets are weird, right, Like they
have two wins on the year. They gave up fifty
four to the Patriots and then they beat the Bengals.
They could beat twenty six nothing but the Broncos then
to beat the Titans. I think this is a Bills blowout.
I think the Mike White thing was a great one
game deal, but having to do it two or three games.
Give me the Bills on the road in Jersey. Okay,

(19:22):
that one was good. That one was like dead on accurate,
wasn't it? So is this one? Raiders are taken on
the Chiefs. Chiefs are two and a half point favorites.
Let me tell you why I like the Chiefs. They
didn't look great last week. The Raiders beat him, have
beaten them previously going back to last season. But the
Raiders they lost to the Giants. It's not just the
Henry Ruggs thing, but you also have to factor in

(19:44):
when you cut a first round pick and then you
have to cut a wide receiver because when we know
the Henry rugg story, like at some point you just
don't have the dudes anymore. I think the Chiefs are
going to win the game. They are a two and
a half point favorite. Gave me the Chiefs to cover,
so it wasn't all terrible, right, it wasn't all terrible,
which is good. That's what we'll take. Those those are

(20:05):
our picks for Those are the ones that went well
for for the week. Okay, so young right, forty six
years old? Apparent heart attack. That's just terrible. Terrible, terrible news.
Terrible news, I mean, really just gut wrenching. Really when
you kind of get down to it, still got leave show.
You're on Fox Sports Radio. Okay, what do we think
about tonight's game? Um, let's let's start with let's start

(20:31):
buy or let's start with you. Ah, I know what
my pick is gonna be. I I feel very strongly,
but I can waiver my convictions. Rams are a three
and a half point favorite on the road. Niners have
not won a home game this year. It's also Monday
night football, which means it's an early start time and
if you've ever been to that stadium like that is

(20:52):
not an easy place to get to if you listen live,
if you live well anywhere. Um, but I do think
it'll be a good crowd tonight, I would guess I'll
though people are down on the Niners. What do you like? Yeah,
the thing that that stands out to me is that
at Shanahan against McVeigh. And while I'm sure one would
love to get the the really best of the other

(21:14):
forty forty burger on on one of them, I just
think that they know each other so well that it's
difficult to have one team be so dominant over the other,
even if the Rams personnel is so much better than
what the forty Niners have. Um, I'm gonna just take
the Niners tonight just because of the division, because of

(21:35):
those coaches. I think the Rams are a much better team.
But I know the Rams didn't play well last week,
but the Niners were awful against Arizona, and I don't
think that they would do that put together that type
of performance two weeks in a row against divisional opponents.
All right, uh uh, what do you think, Jason Stewart?
I think the Rams covered um and I think they

(21:56):
go under in a very unimpressive game. I'm thinking like
nineteen to six, something really lame like that. You know,
it's interesting Um, the Niners actually have some some some
big place, right. They have more passing plays over twenty
yards than the Rams do. Uh. The Niners have more
sacks on defense than the Rams do. No, um, but

(22:20):
they they are actually twenty five and adjusted sacks rate
as opposed the Rams are twelve. There's some math behind it.
I'm prone to take the Niners in this one as well.
I do think you know, you add it doesn't have
to be a complex scheme. But you take a guy
and you put him in a new scheme and he's
got a couple of days on the fly to do,
so there's a limitation. But you lose Robert Woods. Robert

(22:43):
Woods is one of those guys that you talked to
football guys and they all say, like he does all
the little stuff. Cooper Cup is closed, But Cooper Cup
also catches a bullet. And Robert Woods a great blocker.
He'll you know, he'll he'll get the little five yard cats,
he'll get this, you know, he'll find the whole all
in the zone. He did so many little things. And

(23:04):
remember the Rams. Last time we saw the Rams, what
didn't they do? They could not protect their passer, right,
I couldn't protect him at all. Now you're going against
the San Francisco team, who I think will be fired
up and have a chance to get after it. Um,
you know they need to have Elijah Mitchell or or

(23:27):
Jeff Wilson Jr. Run the football. Well, but we've seen
so many people in this you know, in this offense,
fine ways ways to do it. What happened to George Kittle?
He's back? So actually yeah, so he he will become
a weapon for the fort to be available tonight, something
that they they really didn't have over the last couple
of of weeks. So so he's back. So that's that's

(23:49):
good for them. Uh, it's obviously Deebo Samuel has been
actually one of the better receivers in the NFL this
entire year. That helps. I just to your point about
losing Robert Woods and the addition of Odell Beckham Jr.
I think it's glitzy and glamorous to say, Okay, the
Rams are gonna try to figure out a way to
get O b J the ball, And I don't think

(24:11):
that there's there's something that's further from the truth than that.
I think what the Rams say is all right, we
lost Robert Woods recently, not like last week's game, like
they lost him on Friday. Now you gotta say, all right,
what do we do We do we put the new
guy in and try to make him, you know, take
a spot, or do we take Darryl Henderson and Sony
Michelle and try to run the ball down the Niners

(24:32):
throats and get that going for us? And that option,
to me, seems a lot better than making sure that O.
B J gets his catches in his debut. And that's
what I think that you could see from the Rams,
which is honestly the way that they turned it out
at the end of last season when Cam Akers had
his his breakout. So that's what if you're the Rams,
I think it's it's nice and glitzy with O b

(24:54):
J and Von Miller likely to make his debut tonight.
But to me, it's you get that running game going,
you get Henderson going, you at Michelle who has now
been there for half a season. That's where That's where
the Rams win it too, in that ugly sort of
game that that Jason talked about. Okay, so you have
the Niners though, covering in the sort of game. Yeah, yeah,
I just I think that they know Kyle Shanahan knows

(25:16):
Sean McVeigh, and Sean McVeigh knows Kyle shanahan. And it's
it's difficult to be one guy by a lot when
you know what the other one is doing. So I'll
take the guy that's at home and he is getting
some points. Yeah, I'm gonna take the dog, and I'm
gonna take the under as well. I'm gonna take the
Niners and the under. And my logic is not just
that they know each other. I think the Niners are

(25:36):
better than there. They just they've they've had a ton
of injuries. They just have um and you know, they
lost the Packers, but it was by two, lost the
Seahawks by six, lost the Cardinals by seven. The cold
flast was sizeable. But remember like that was a really
banged up football team. I mean, look, they're they're working
through running back number what here? You know, that's their problem. Like, no,

(25:59):
I understand, I just I'm but I'm and and look
Nick Bosa, it's it's it's been a different football team
since Nick Bosa got hurt last year. Right that that's
just and they haven't had and Eric Armstead hasn't been
as good as the guy he replaced. And and I
mean look at some of them, they just they're not

(26:19):
as good. Drake Kirkpatrick is out, so Cowan Williams has
to play, and and uh and Jimmy ward is I
think he's questionable. I think Josh Norman's washed. You know,
it's like one of those they they've they've done this
and can say at Richard Sherman, he was washed up.
Now they Josh Norman. I don't think he's the same guy.
So they have injuries in the defensive backfield. Offensively, they've

(26:41):
run through a bunch of dudes. But yeah, I mean
they gotta be able protect Garoppola, stay away from the
big pick. But they gotta be able run the football
and control control tempo, and then the defense has to
get out to the passer. I think most of but
this is a Rams team that could not protect last week,
and I don't think they're gonna be a protect this
week against Bosa. I just don't. I I I think
this is one where he he has like his recoming

(27:02):
out parties, that is that a word? You know, he's
got seven sacks this season, like he it hasn't been
a total wash like he's still on his pace to
have a tremendous season. But it's different on Monday Night Football,
it's different National TV. Yes, Jason um as a. I
guess as a sidebar to this conversation, have you guys
seen the Manning cast guests for tonight um And I'm

(27:26):
on record of saying that I don't think they even
need guests. But you tell me if this kind of
lacks the panash because they always try and get somebody
local and they're like, oh, you're right, yeah, I think
the local angle here was Draymond Green. Draymond's got a
new pod with Cowherd or not with Cowherd, but Cowherd's network,
the podcast that the right, and then uh, Al Michaels,

(27:49):
Phil Mickelson and Philip Rivers. Okay, Al Michaels, who's the
other one? Nicholson, Phil Mickelson, those are great. Those are
three amazing guests. And Philip Rivers? Yeah, have you ever
heard Philip Rivers? Again? I don't know, he's great. I
just think like, as a as a total, these four
kind of lack the Michaels. I got philm Michelson, I

(28:11):
got Philip Rivers. Who's the fourth Michael's Graymond Green. What
do you not like about them? No, no, I'm not
saying I don't like them. I'm just saying that you
just say they last if you compare them against the
guest list of previous weeks. I think this this lacks
in I don't know, pannash and relevance and what are

(28:31):
you talking about? You know where I think it is.
I think it's the al Michaels who does Sunday Night
Football is being used again the next night. I think
that's what's that doesn't do much? What's the night? No
meaning like tonight? Like we just heard al Michaels last
night call a game and now we're going to hear
him again. I think that's maybe what. But I think
the al Michaels one is is weird, right, especially on
a Disney network when he got traded by Disney right

(28:54):
for a cartoon rights or something. But but like think
about it, al Michael's arguably Gray just of all time
at what he does. Correct, Yes, okay, in the conversation
Phil Mickelson, second grade, second best golfer of my lifetime,
be okay with that? Sure, And he's funny and he's relevant.

(29:15):
And he gambles on games. It will give you the
like was like Pat Pat McAfee was awesome. Pat McAfee
was Jones and because of the spread and he was
that's when he was good. He was literally talking like
a degenerate gambler. Phil Micklson isn't degenerate gambler. Phil also
doesn't shut up, and that's actually going to be an issue.
And like when they would do those matches that did

(29:37):
the first match, Phil had to compensate so much for
Tiger because Tiger wouldn't talk that obviously just heard Phil
for like four hours, which I'm sure he was fine with.
But it's just the can he does he peel it
back and know where to go instead of just talking
the whole time. That's the question. What's the issue with
Draymond Green? Jay No, No No, I like Grandmond Green. He's

(29:59):
a literally he's a little it's a little bit like
the a top forty hit from earlier this year, right
he was on T N T S podcast Out all
the times, Like, I pretty much know what Draymond but
the best team in the NBA. He's a first ballot
Hall of Famer, he's an Olympic gold medalist, He represents
the area and he is funny. So I can't really
find if it was Steph or Clay. Would you feel different, Jason,

(30:21):
I think Draymond is the best personality on that team. Yeah,
I have no problems with Draymond. It's just kind of
this guests us as a whole is a little less
now the problem. You're wrong if I'm telling you the
best one is the last one. I love. Philip Rivers
is the but but Dan's been there and Ramus has
been there, Like when we go to the Chargers, can't

(30:43):
be come down. He talked to Philip men like I
he's my best friend. Now. He's amazing, he's incredibly engaging,
he's funny, he's aug shucks. And you got three of
the three first ballot Hall of Fame, plus you got
Eli and Philip the trade. Have they ever discussed that together?
That's good. Yeah, it's really good. That's an unbelievable guest list.

(31:05):
I don't know. They had Super earlier this year in Seattle,
Like that one didn't make any sense to me, Like, well,
Supers played in Seattle for a long time, like Draymond
green Way more relevant. Super. No disrespect to super She's
a great player. I've always been a fan. I'm just
being real. Anyway, Bayer, do you think this is disappointed
guest list? No, I would love to hear phil mc

(31:26):
excuse me, Philip Rivers for the entire second half, you know,
not even just the fourth Philip Rivers. Wait, Philip Rivers,
Eli Manning who they traded they were traded for each
other a draft day and and Peyton Manning all at
the same time, right, And then there's the Philip Evers
played quarterback for the Colts and really wants to get
another shot to play this year for somebody, maybe New Orleans.

(31:49):
I'm j I, I gotta tell you like and you
I don't. I don't see her. I don't. I don't
A lot of times we talk in the morning. I'm like,
he just made a great point. I got it down
to myself. This one was that one was a that
was amiss. I hope they proved me wrong. Maybe tomorrow
we're just gonna be like, man, you really stunk on
that one. But I it's just my first impression. It

(32:09):
was this. Guess this is a little less than the other,
but I could be wrong. I would also say that
one of the things every every We used to do
this at at ESPN, where every producer's dream get He
was Derek Cheeter and I had Derek Jeter on and
he was terrible. It wasn't like couldn't put words together.
He's a very bright dude. He just he's Derek Jeeter.

(32:30):
He's so tight, so guarded. He wouldn't say anything. It's like, yikes,
you know, And so I I do think that whall.
I mean, I think this is a pretty good guest list.
Like I would much prefer Phil on this than Tiger.
I don't Tiger would bring more eyeballs, but feels way better.
Steph Curry is a much is a better player than

(32:51):
Draymond Green. I much prefer Draymond and Philip Rivers had
won a super Bowl. Okay, and but there's other guys
that wanted to like Drew Brees is ad Philip Rivers.
Philip Rivers will make you I guarantee you're gonna walk
away tonight or or just turn off the TV and
be like, why did NBC hired Drew Brees instead of
Philip Rivers. I don't know that that's honestly, I take

(33:13):
away the should put Brian Greasy on the Manning cast,
get him off the regular one. I feel bad, I
I guess I feel bad for those guys, But I
don't feel bad for those guys right because it's the
old like there is a certain level of meritocracy, and
the Manne cast just better, it's more interesting. Although they'll
still have you know, they'll still get a much bigger

(33:34):
rating than the Manning casters. I don't understand. I just
think people don't know. It's a different way. You don't
watch football as much, you listen to them a lot more.
But I think I'm gonna I'm gonna massively disagree with you. Okay,
so Romo's has taken the Rams, right, I adn't taking
a ramasator for I don't work short on time, but
for I agree with Dan, And that's what I was
gonna say was the Rams are gonna run the ball

(33:55):
a lot more tonight with Henderson and and I think
that will throw things off a little bit for forty niners.
And so I like the Rams, uh more than more
than three at least a touchdown blab more bootlegs night too.
So I know you talked about the falling back of
the offensive, line. I think it's see a lot more
play action bootlegs and left and right and uh coaches

(34:17):
corner with John Ramos at least Rams coach. I got
a lot of bootlegs. You know they can use the
use the exposition to wise. Yeah, j STU, what's the
official pick? I like the Rams in the under rams
and under rams under Okay, uh fire, that's like the
Niners too. Do you care about over under or not? Really?

(34:41):
I'm trying to get I'm trying to get some wins
back here, so I'm gonna take the Niners in the under.
Of course, could fail once again. Um all right, well
you'll hear what Cam Newton got flagged four and when
Aaron Rodgers said the wind meant to him. But coming
up next, A Rod's tenure as owners and envy as
an end. Excuse me, A Rod's tenure as an NBA

(35:01):
owner has gotten off into a interesting start. Let's share
with you. Next, be sure to catch the live edition
of the Doug gott Leap Show weekdays at three pm
Easter noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I
Heart Radio a app Doug Otlip Show Fox Sports Radio

(35:22):
every day. This time, we'd like to get you caught
up on the stories to day. We do so with
the press. The press. Real credit card questions require real people,
someone who understands their issues and works to resolve them
with you. That's why I discover all for his helpful
US based representatives available. Discover exceptionally common sense, Dan bar
what you got? Cam Newton has not been named the

(35:44):
starter for the Carolina Panthers in Week eleven, but he maybe.
Head coach Met Rules, saying today that Newton is expected
to get a majority of the first team reps in
practice this week. Well, look, obviously for candy back in
Carolina is great for Carolina. I just don't know if
he can throw football. They were awesome though, And maybe

(36:05):
they can play around that. Maybe they can find ways
to navigate it. And maybe he's gotten healthier and better
during his time when he was what he said was
having seial last last week. This time, what how come
do we followed up with what kind of cereal? I said,
what kind of cereal? Maybe that's what he was like
fishing for. Maybe he's like sponsored by like Captain Crunch

(36:27):
or something like that, and who knows, maybe they wanted
to push that. I love captain Crunch. Yeah, they have.
They got a favorable schedule here Washington football team. Remember
as as as you shared, uh you know they lost
their star pass rush or Dolphins Falcons before they have Bills, Buccaneers,
Saints and Buccaneers again. So last four games are really treacherous.
We'll see what they do in the meantime. Florida International

(36:49):
head football coach Butch Davis won't return his head coach
next season. Doug He told the Action Network the school
is sabotaging the football program, claiming that they weren't allowed
to recruit even after the pen make said in seen
they were given ten year old shoulder pads had ended
up getting five year old shoulder pads from Mississippi State
to use instead, and also said that well, the school

(37:09):
posted Davis's job online during the season as he was
their head coach. I thought I used in the University
of Miami's youthed cups. I thought that was the NBA
by the Midsota Tiberal of two fifty thousand dollars after
the team violated NBA rules by having an offseason workout
and get together in September at the Miami home of

(37:32):
minority owner Alex Rodriguez, So he has a gym that
like they can have a work Yeah, apparently they're gonna
have you know, have workouts there. And he was gonna
have like a team dinner and yeah, I think mark
Stein reported that they were hoping to make it a
yearly thing, an annual thing. Well, they have what they
have to do. They have to do. They has to
be unorganized, right Like when the Lakers all went to
Vegas and all that personnel went to Vegas, it was

(37:54):
like lebronze camp. That's so. I think it's probably that
it was like organized and and it could only happen
like in the home city or home state if you
were to do something like that, that would be the reason.
And since they were in Miami, it uh, it did
not work. About a disorganized team activity. But I feel
like there's just no playing like, uh, that's half the
NBA with ten players placed on the reserve COVID list.

(38:14):
The Ottawa Senators have had their next three games postponed
and won't play until at least after Saturday. So as
much as we want to think that COVID is a
thing in the past, we actually now have postponements in
the NHL h and Chris Taylor declined his qualifying offer.
Not surprising, but the Dodgers stars Yankee. Not a bad year,

(38:38):
asked the two Dodger fans. Not a bad year when
you get the Yankees and the Dodgers. And that's the
press bag it out there and pressed that the press
right our picture out there. I hope you enjoyed them,
Hope they do, Hope they do better then my picks
this weekend. In the meantime, we'll get you ready for
next week in the NFL and college football and NBA
tomorrow in the Doug oatl the show Fox Sport Trading
