(00:00):
Dash Rippington. How are you, sir? I'm doing great? How are
you? I am doing fantastic?Dash? Am I allowed to say what
I saw of you over the weekend? Sure? So we all remember Dash?
Okay, Well, I don't know. I don't know what's secret and
what's not secret, what I'm inon, what I'm not in on?

(00:23):
But we all what's the We allremember Dash? Dashes? Uh, what's
the word I'm looking for? Crazy? The Yeah, like he puts some
like rat traps on his tongue. He saw a swallow swords performs all the
time out at the Renaissance Festival. But you were in Italy trying to film

(00:45):
to set the world record for mousetraps on your tongue. That is correct,
dude. The video is ridiculous. So it was such an amazing trip.
Did they? Here's the bottom eventhough here's what I want to know.
Did they? Did they? Firstof all, what is the TV

(01:07):
show? The name of the TVshow is Lo Show Day Record and it
is a Guinness World Records TV showthat is filmed and broadcast in Milan,
in Milan, Italy. And basicallyall they do is they hire, they
don't hire, They bring people into try to break records on their show,

(01:30):
and they sell it to their countryand I guess a couple other countries.
It has not been released in theUS. They keep smacking my videos
offline every time I try to postthem. But that I set that one
on the fly. Yeah, wecan talk about it because it's broadcast,
but I just can't share the videoanywhere. I got youa but dude,

(01:53):
like, I'm watching the show, and like you said, it is like
it's they they bring people out toa world records and they aired on TV.
There's a massive live studio audience. There's like there's lights and stuff like
it is a legit TV I can'tunderstand a goddamn word they're saying, but
it is. It's like a legitTV show. Yeah, I can tell

(02:19):
you that there is no greater feelingthan stepping through that video wall of light.
And so you went out there,Dane, look at this. I
did this one's dash here I seehim. Yeah, that's pretty obvious.
Yeah, the Hey, so canI ask you that? And I don't
know, am I giving away theend? I don't know if I'm giving
away the end. I'm not givingaway the end. No, not at

(02:42):
all. The ending has been broadcast, they can be discussed. So were
you were you angry? I wasdisappointed. I was disappointed in myself.
But there was a lot of thingsthat there are some things that I can't
get into because they are still beingdiscussed with Guinness World Records, and there
has been no answer to some ofit. But there is some weird stuff

(03:07):
going on with that specific record, and maybe there's a possibility of having it
split in the two different records. We're, like I said, we're still
in discussion stage where we have notactually reached an answer for that yet.
I got you, hey, canI ask you this though? So I'm

(03:28):
watching the video Tyler's got it rollin here right now, and it's I
mean, you got your big flappytongue hanging out there. You're picking up
your you're picking up your mouse trapsand and and they trigger with your tongue
and it snaps on your tongue andthen your tongue comes out. There's a
part in the video where it's almostlike your tongue like for for this to

(03:49):
work, does it hurt? Hurt, hurt? But then it just gets
so like the pain gets so badthat your tongue almost goes numb because I
think I found that moment. Itry to hit that moment as early as
possible. But really it just comesdown to turning your brain off to what's

(04:11):
happening. Your brain is actively tryingto figure out, Okay, what is
the pattern of what you're doing. So the first part of the run is
always slower, and then it'll pickup as it goes because your brain just
takes over or turns itself off,and you just allow what is being experienced
to happen. Dude, I lovebut yeah, every second step of the

(04:33):
way. Oh I'm sure. Hey, so the in how long? But
by the way, you got togo to Milan? Yeah? Right,
I got to go to Milan.I got engaged. I did not get
the record, but I was onTV. I got to see Rome.
It was an amazing trip took aboutby the way, let's not gloss over.

(04:57):
Congratulations, dude, you got engaged. Thank you. Yeah, Dot,
who has been my partner for thepast seven years. We are going
to get married in the next twoyears. Sometime in the next two years.
Now, did she know that thiswas coming? No, she did
not know that I was going tobe proposing. Basically, we had a

(05:18):
day off in between arriving in Milanand filming that video vignette of me and
the lab coat to we had aday off and then we had a rehearsal
day. Well, during that dayoff, I made arrangements to take a
train from Torino, Italy up toSan Maurice, Switzerland, and that's where

(05:42):
I proposed to her. That's amazing. So you got engaged in Switzerland,
Yeah, dude, in the snowcovered hill mountains of Switzerland, in the
Alps. Dude, that's freaking awesome. Good for you. It's a little
different than the ren Fair, butstill very very nice. Thank you.

(06:02):
Yeah, she was quite surprised. It was at the foot of the leaning
tower of Saan Mur. It's theengagement ring. The stone of it actually
has a little The stone is achunk of the moon that was a meteorite
caused by another meteorite smacking the moon, and that moon rock came to Earth

(06:24):
and then they cut it up intoa bunch like two hundred pieces and made
jewelry out of them. And yeah, her engagement ring has actually got a
chunk of the moon in it.By the way, les least surprising thing
is that it wasn't traditional, rightleast surprising for you. So now that
you're now that you're back from gallivantingall around the world and getting engaged,

(06:48):
like, what are you like? Now, you've got to be gearing up
for summer. Oh yeah, we'restarting next weekend. Actually we kind of
started this weekend. A couple offriends of ours got married and we were
camping all weekend long. So ifmy voice was a little horse it's because
it was a weekend long a party. But next weekend I started up at
the Virginia Renaissance there and I've alreadygot another world record in routes to break

(07:15):
again. That'll be June first. Are you gonna tell me what it is?
Or no? Yeah, I cantell you basically when I set the
record, or when I broke therecord last year during the Maryland Renaissance Festival
with the animal traps on the body, I blew the record out of the
water from thirty seven traps to fiftyeight. Well, I didn't know until

(07:38):
a couple of until I got backfrom Italy. But sweet Pepper Clopek up
in Canada from Lunches of shlock hetwo weeks after I made my attempt.
He made an attempt and actually gotsixty three. So I only held the
animal trap record for two weeks.Oh that so you're gonna beat that?
You're yeah, f you, sweetPepper, Absolutely yeah, absolutely, So

(08:03):
I'm like, well, I can'tlet that stand. I have to have
all three. Good for you, good for you, well, Dash,
keep me up to date. Istill, I swear to god, I
still have to find something. Ihave to do something with you. I
don't know what it is, butI have to do something with I have
to see no no offense, butI have to see this freak show in
person, no offense take and I'dlove to do something if we could work

(08:28):
it out. You got it allright, my friend, Dash, Listen,
I don't even care about the recordthing. Congratulations on getting engaged,
dude. I'm really happy for you. Thank you, and get married.
You got it, my brother. We'll talk to you soon. Thank you,
You're welcome. Talk to you later. Elliott. How about that he
went to Milan's He went to Milanand then took a trade to Switzerland.

(08:52):
That's nuts. Good for him.The and I guess we can't post the
video, but the video's hysterical, and I don't understand, you know,
the only part of the video Iunderstand Dash, Like well, I understand
Dash, but like when they're talking, so it's like I don't speak Italian,
but it's like happens when I amdot. I said a man dash,

(09:16):
how many in mana? And thenhe goes on. That's the only
part that I understand. So butgood for him, Good for him.
That's awesome.
