Speaker 1 (00:00):
Girl. You need lotion. It's it's bad. It's bad. Can
you tell you have any lotion at home?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Diane?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
I put some on this morning. It is so can
you tell it look like tiny?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Tim you know what you need to do is like
vasoline and then put lotion on top of it.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
You need I don't have vassiline.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
You need real moisture.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, could you tell thell where it's a little bit
a little bit dry there?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
So how did yesterday go down? Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yesterday was awesome.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
So I got to the I got to the thing
and they cut the cast off, right, and so they
did you did.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
You get a last minute of appointment because last time
you updated us, you told us it was definitely later
in the week because you talked about how this is
the rest of my twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
It was supposed to be Thursday of this week. And
then I got a call. Well, I got a text
over the weekend from doctor and Nunziata who was like, hey, listen,
I have I can get you in on Monday afternoon,
Like he had stuff that he had to do in
the morning, but there's an opening if you want to
come in. Yesterday it was Monday, right, yeah, Monday afternoon.
So I was like, well, I do unless you're gonna

(01:03):
tell me that the difference in three days, Like I
just want the goddamn cast off. And so he was like, Nah,
three days shouldn't be a big deal. Why don't you
come in on Monday. So I was like, hey, Daniel,
we got to go to the that's very sad. So
I was like, Daniel, we got to go to the
uh to the doctor. Drop me off there and then
Jackie'll picked me up. And he's like, okay, mister Elliott.

(01:26):
So he drops me off and I went in. Now,
I will say this over the weekend because we knew
that we were going to give Daniel a nice treat
this week.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, I hope.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
So we gave him a big box of cookies and
a and what well, I didn't get to the second
part yet.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So was that a rush job before?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
No, No, Jackie made a bunch of shake up over them.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
No, because we were going to give it to him anyway,
because the second part of that is we were going
to give him a very very nice tip. And so
it was like if he needed money for Christmas or
wanted to use it for Christmas, he would have extra money. Okay,
So the plan was always to give him the stuff
yesterday anyway.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Oh okay, yeah, But but I had no idea that
would be it.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
So on the way to the doctor's appointment, I was like, hey, listen, Bud,
I don't know what the rest of the week's going
to be. I got to get in there and I'll
see what the doctor says. I'll send you a text.
No problem. So anyway, I get in there, they cut
the cast off. I walked down the I had to
apologize to the people because the when they cut the
cast off, there's like a little sleeve that goes under
the cast. It was it melted into my foot. It

(02:31):
was because there's so much dead, wet skin on the
bottom of my foot that it had kind of like
remember when that old woman died and she like blended
into the couch. That's what was going on with my thing.
So I said to them, I was like, hey, listen,
I gotta apologize. My feet are nasty. And she's like,
not the worst I've seen, So I said, oh, thank you.

(02:52):
So anyway, so I walked down the hall. They took
the X rays, I walked back in.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
He came in.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
He was like, listen, I got great news. We protected
you from your elf. You're good, like you're you're good cleared,
not one hundred percent, but yes. So he was like,
you're good to go. We could do a couple of things.
Do you want to do?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Pet?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And I was like, I hate it. He's like, sweet,
here's what you'll do.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
So he gave me this, Uh, I have to do
some like range of motion things at the house and
then the and then just building up the strength, right,
And so I was like okay, and he was like.
I was like, but just I just want to know, like,
and he's like, listen, it could hurt a little bit
if you overextended or do whatever, but just so you
know you're healed. So I said, okay, So mentally I

(03:37):
don't have to worry about like cracking the bone or anything.
He's like, no, you're solid. So I was like sweet.
So anyway, he said do that. He gave me a
boot just in case if I wanted to feel like
there's some stability to it, because it's a little bit
weak compared to the other one.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
So is that in the office, Say again, is that
in the office.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
I wore at home mostly because I didn't have a
second shoe, and so I wore at home. I got home,
I put a tennis shoe. I threw the boot in
my closet and I'll never wear it again. Okay, I
don't have to. He was like, you could wear for
a day, you could wear for two days, three days
a week, as long as you want to feel. If
it makes you feel stable, wear it. If not, just

(04:15):
do whatever. You're good. So I was like, sweet, So
I put a tennis shoe on yesterday, and then I
drove yesterday, so I went to where's that?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
How many weeks has it been since you drove?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Halloween?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Was it Halloween weekend?

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Halloween weekend?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Is when? Is when?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Because I drove up to Philly on a broken ankle
and that was Halloween weekend? So where's the first place
I drove yesterday? I had to get two things?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
It was definitely a restaurant.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
No, you're wrong.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Thank you went to seven eleven for two things, three things, cigarettes,
two packs, and thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Play tonight. You were considering yourself lucky?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yeah, so what's luckier than that? Wouldn't it be No, honestly,
wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't that be great if I
end up winning after getting my cast off, wouldn't that
be awesome?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Great Christmas?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
So I got up this morning.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Oh so then when I got home from the convenience store,
I took a shower. I must have scrubbed about five
pounds of dead skin off my leg, which looks like
a little tampon string and the and so then I
don't even need like I put this little ankle thing
on this little ankle brace. So it's all mental. It's

(05:27):
all mental. I don't even need that.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Somebody has got a lot of issues in their head.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
The No, it's just just to kind of make sure
that it feels good for a day. I won't wear
it tomorrow. The U and then so I took a shower,
I scrubbed everything off. I took the seat out of
the shower. It is sitting next to my uh, it's
sitting next to my scooter, my cast cover, my cast shoe.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I got all that just sitting there. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I think I may burn it, but it's all just
sitting now. But I'll just save it. I'll sell it
to somebody. Why wouldn't I eBay that anyway? So I
put all of that away.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
How about you're buying nothing group, say again, you're buying.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
They were rude to me. They were rude to me,
So I have thought that was nice to you guys.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I know what the person who runs it was, but
the other people in the community were not the UH.
And then I had to do what I didn't want
to do, say goodbye. I sent Daniel a text and
so I said.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
So his at this point yesterday or yesterday afternoon, he
was still thinking he was gonna pick you.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
He was waiting to hear morning. He was waiting to
hear from me.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
So I sent him a very nice text, and I
was like, hey, listen, Bud. Good news, good news, great news,
good news. I got my cast off. I've been cleared.
I'm good to go.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Well, can I back up. I'm not fully cleared. I
have to do range of motion.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
And increase the uh, increase the strength in it for
three weeks. Then I go back. Then I can go uh.
Then he was like, you can go play. You can
do whatever you want. So then I could start skating again,
so I can go play in my old man hockey
leagues again.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
So that'll be awesome.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
So stay committed to his absolutely absolutely kick pt to
the curve. Don't need it that bones good stop. No,
he realized you were just no, I wouldn't do it.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, he knows me well enough, so the uh listen,
doctor Nunziata best in the business. The guy's the best.
So anyway, so I send Daniel this text and I
was like, Hey, good news.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Great news.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Good news is I don't need you know, they took
the cast off. The great news is you don't have
to wake up in the middle of the night like
you're done. You were all And I couldn't thank him enough.
I couldn't thank him enough, and so he sent me
back the nicest This must be what a nice breakup
is like, Dan. He sent me back the nicest four

(07:44):
paragraph text message. It musn't taken him forty five minutes
to type the thing out with his thumbs, and because
he's driving, it was everything from his His family's going
to keep me in their prayers. The He did say
if the show ever goes to Peru, he would love
to go with us.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
And show us our tour guy a good time.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I told him I didn't think we were going the
Uh you shoot him down.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Over my dead leg?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah? Uh he wished me.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
He said that he feels like he's a better person
for having me in his life. Oh God, I swear
to God, let me see that lot I swear to God,
I'll go get.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Was lost in translation.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah, the well me go, but no, he was like.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
A photos didn't happen.

Speaker 3 (08:27):

It's an honor to have had you in my life.
The I swear to God. He is the nicest, nicest man.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's because he knows.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
He's got a nice tip. He got a nice tip.

Speaker 1 (08:41):

lottery ticket. That's fair. That's what this is all about.

going to tell them, hey, listen, I haven't driven since Halloween.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
