to get your Tuesday, January ninthstarted well. We certainly had a weather
day yesterday and tornado watches and warningsSantecento, Pulk Counties, and there is
hail last night, high winds inPasadena causing some damage, fortunately no injuries,

(00:24):
and the severe weather yep it hitNRG Stadium. Fans had to run
inside and take cover as the windsstarted whipping up about an hour before the
National College Football game, and therewas a leak near the goal line of
the north end zone. Didn't affectMichigan at all though they cruised to a
victory thirty four to thirteen over Washington. And no weather delays today at the

(00:48):
airport if you're flying out of town, but they might be some cancelations sixty
possible cancelations at Bush Airport. Andthat's from the grounding of these Boeing seven
thirty seven's Max nine jets after ablowout on a similar Alaska Airlines jet that
happened on Fridays. No injuries. The plane was able to land, but

(01:11):
they're blaming it on loose bolts thathave happened during the production process. Get
those bolts tightened. We don't wantthat to happen ever again. Weather today
beautiful, Like I said, noweather delays. We're going to go up
to fifty five today. It's goingto be super cool. Right now,
it's forty three in uptown in Europe. To date from Sunday ninety nine point
one. Tell me something good broughtto us by our friends at Goodwill Houston.

(01:37):
Well, Jvon Green didn't win thecollege football championship game. He played
for Washington, but he was awinner, the only Houstonian in the college
football playoff championship game. And momand dad were able to be there,
Amanda and Keith. His brother Calebwas able to watch grandparents. He was
so happy to have such a supportteam here watching him. He said,

(01:59):
winner loose, I know I havemy family support. That is so cool,
Pretty darn cool. And producer AnthonyDan we talked about all the good

better career advancement. Goodwill's going torun the program proactively targeting under and unemployed
individuals, and participants in the programwill be paid as they learn through intensive

(02:46):
hands on, competency based training aswell as tailored employment readiness and career placement

the ones targeted by the Goodwill CleanTech Accelerator do not require da college degrees
and even better, pay more thanthe national median salary. Through this program,

He is an amazing man. Hewas honored at the one hundred Club banquet
last year. Last year he wonthe International Police Chief Office of the Year
award. What this guy did wasamazing. They were responding to a domestic
violence called HPD officer and it wasbroad daylight. This guy starts shooting at

(03:50):
officers. Then he car jacks awoman and they go out on a police
chaef chase. Well, Officer Gatsonis thinking, I've got to keep myself
safe. I've got to keep myofficers safe, and I've got to keep
civilians safe. Now this is happeningin broad daylight on a community street.
He runs after the bad guy who'sgot like a machine gun, and he

(04:13):
captures him. His partners was shotin the neck, another in the femur.
I mean, the patrol car wasriddled with bullets. And he used

her platform for an organization called Copsin the Community. It brings police officers
and the community together to understand andwork together. And if she wins the
title of Miss America twenty twenty four, she will take that platform nationwide.

(05:46):

lot of times our officers go intothe community hang out with everyone there,
so you can kind of bridge thatgap and put a face to the names
and see like they're people too.Yeah, it really really cool. So
