Producer Anthony Dane, we called GoodwillHouston out here doing good again. They
(02:15):
have a really amazing program called theGoodwill Cleaned Tech Accelerator. It's a partnership
between Goodwill Houston, Block Power andAccenture. It offers free training to become
a heat pump technician. And CandaceKeith is someone who found opportunity through the
program. See she was juggling multipleretail and service shops made it difficult to
provide for her family. But sherealized that this Goodwill program would offer an
(02:38):
actual career and help her achieve hergoals. So Candace underwent the four weeks
of hands on training, where shenot only gained skills, but earned valuable
certifications which immediately provided job opportunities andon site training in the HVAC industry,
something Dane that typically takes years toachieve. Energy industry continues to expand.
Initiatives like the Goodwill Clean Tech Acceleratorplay a huge role in bridging that gap
(03:01):
between workforce development and employment. Sothank you Goodwill Houston showing up for their
mission of changing lives through the powerof work. And you know what,
Anthony, I went to Goodwill.I went to the one at Guestner yesterday
and every week I get a newbook for the kids. Well it's a
good will it's a recycled book forthe kids. And since we lost a
little puppy dog, this book wasabout a doggie and it's a great idea

comfy spot and read a good book. And according to a new study,

and libraries, but not too shabbyfor us Houstonians. We come in at
(03:46):

has limited attractions and it doesn't havethe food world that we do, so
I thought, you know, Houstonwouldn't make the list. We come in
at numbers we show up and that'sbased on the number of bookstores we have
and our library. So definitely checkit out on This World Book Day.

Right now, it's fifty six inUptown. Break breakups are always trending
(04:30):
because they're super painful, and howyou deal with a breakup is up to
you. It's whatever you need todo so you can get up, go
to work, be productive and moveon with your life. And the way
Taylor Swift does it, she talksabout it in her music, and you
gotta wonder if the guys she datesand talks about in the music they never
speak up. The only one whoreally ever said he was humiliated was John
(04:51):
Mayer. I feel like at thispoint, you gotta know, like,
if you're getting into that situation,it's a possibility, but there could be
a non disc close your agreement thatshe makes some son. I mean,
who knows at this point, though, Dane, how many songs does she
have? Though? Yeah, Iwould just assume I'm going to be a
song at some point. I willbe on the radio at some point,
yeah, exactly, exactly. Anyway, So if it's not in a song
(05:13):
talking about a breakup. Maybe it'san announcement. That's what's trending on social
media. This influencer, Diana Martinezput a really splashy card up on Instagram.
She broke up and it was hisfault and now you know, give
me a little piece and what wasit? She had a time for where
she just didn't want to require twoto three weeks for any further questions.
(05:35):
You don't have to block him.I'm indifference, all right. Then that's
the way. You know, youdo what you gotta do. And we're
asking you about how you dealt withor are dealing with a breakup. Now
we have got Anthony calling in fromGalveston. Now your breakup was actually a
divorce? Whose fault was it?It was not me? Because what's trending
(05:58):
now our breakup announce it's a bigflashy card that says it was her fault.
Oh wow, never heard of that. No, it's darning now it's
it's the thing on social media. Now, Now let me ask you about
Taylor Swift. You know all hersongs are about breakups and someone who did
her wrong, Like, is thissomething that you would publicize given the opportunity,
(06:18):
or do you kind of keep itto yourself? Yeah, don't you
think that's just better to do probablywith a with a karma factor. It's
just I think it's cheesy to broadcastat everybody. Well, have you been
able to move on, Anthony?Oh yes, I've moved Oh good,
heck, we're glad to hear that. And hopefully the music on Sunny kind
(06:40):
of picks you up and makes youfeel good if you get a little depressed
and down right. Well, heand my girls driving to school every morning
and we listen to y'all. Wehave a good time listening to y'all.
I'm so same that made our dead. Absolutely well, we will, we
will keep up the good work foryou and your Their names is the bad
line, Catherine. Oh well, you get Isabella and Catherine a big hug
from all of us here. Willdo We'll do that.
