going ceramic and wooden for its nextfundraiser. I love it. It's called
Empty Bowls Houston. I have awonderful friend who is an artist and chief
participates this in this every year makingthese gorgeous ceramic bowls one of a kind.

And they're all going to be atthe Houston Center for Contemporary Craft ten
to three on May eleventh. Goingto be fifteen hundred bulls to choose from,
and it's a twenty five dollars donation. There's live music and food and
it all goes to the Houston FoodBank. It's a pretty cool event.
Producer Anthony Dane, we called GoodwillHouston out here doing good again. They

have a really amazing program called theGoodwill Cleaned Tech Accelerator. It's a partnership
between Goodwill Houston, Block Power andAccenture. It offers free training to become
a heat pump technician. And CandaceKeith is someone who found opportunity through the
program. See she was juggling multipleretail and service shops made it difficult to
provide for her family. But sherealized that this Goodwill program would offer an

actual career and help her achieve hergoals. So Candace underwent the four weeks
of hands on training, where shenot only gained skills, but earned valuable
certifications which immediately provided job opportunities andon site training in the HVAC industry,
something Dane that typically takes years toachieve. Energy industry continues to expand.
Initiatives like the Goodwill Clean Tech Acceleratorplay a huge role in bridging that gap

between workforce development and employment. Sothank you Goodwill Houston showing up for their
mission of changing lives through the powerof work. And you know what,
Anthony, I went to Goodwill.I went to the one at Guestner yesterday
and every week I get a newbook for the kids. Well it's a
good will it's a recycled book forthe kids. And since we lost a
little puppy dog, this book wasabout a doggie and it's a great idea

day and today's the day you findyour perfect place to curl up in a
comfy spot and read a good book. And according to a new study,
New York is the best place foravid readers based on the number of bookstores
and libraries, but not too shabbyfor us Houstonians. We come in at

has limited attractions and it doesn't havethe food world that we do, so
I thought, you know, Houstonwouldn't make the list. We come in
at numbers we show up and that'sbased on the number of bookstores we have
