July nineteenth started well, crazy stuffhappening overnight. The Microsoft was down and
it meant a lot of grounding,some flights affecting banks, some media outlets,

hospitals. Now Microsoft is getting itback up online, saying it wasn't
a cyber attack, but I wouldcheck your airline just in case. Even
some flights in Houston have been affected. Well, they're back. They hit
the field yesterday, first day oftraining camp for the Texans, and the
team's focus is to get off toa good start, set a good foundation.

They're going to play rookies or vetsplayers will earn their spot. And
I know you don't want to hearback to school on this feel good Friday,
but this is some good news.There are going to be all kinds
of back to school events planned tohelp families get ready. There's a health
and Resource fare that's happening July twentythird at McDougall Elementary Spring ISD is going
to have a back to school eventJuly twenty sixth at Dekaney High School.

There's going to be a big eventaut in Montgomery County at the Improvement District.
Supply pack is going to be givenout on August first at New Caney's
Randall Reed Stadium, and Mayor JohnWhitmyer is going to have a back to
school event at the George R.Brown on August third. Lots of giveaways

Friends for Life and it's an animalshelter in the Heights. In the Heights,
it suffered severe damage after Hurricane Barrel. A Good Samaritan steps up and

friends, and then said I'll matchone thousand dollars if other Houstonians will raise
one thousand dollars. Wow, Sohe is now saying, you know,
come on, let's get together inthe community and see what we can do

own Megan D. Stallion announced yesterdaythat her Peton Thomas Foundation partnering with the
with Bread Bread of Life to launchan emergency power program. The goal is
to provide generators to senior citizens acrossh town so they can access electricity during
these natural disasters. And if youdidn't know, Bread of Life is a

Houston based nonprofit provides resources to supportHouston's most vulnerable populations. And then Meghan
founded the Peton Thomas Foundation, namedafter her parents, back in twenty twenty
two. She created it as away to uplift and assist women, children,
senior citizens, and other underserved communities. Her foundation has helped more than
fourteen thousand people in the past twoyears. Her foundation also provides scholarships with

her helping initiative. I love thename, so shout out to Megan thee

it was apparently overseas performing when shewas watching what was going on power outages.

My very longtime friend called and said, my power got turned off?
Can you help me pay my bill? And of course I said yes,
Dame Lisa, Now, so whathappened? Was it? Was it because
of non payment? Was it becauseof the power outage from the hurricane?
Well, my friend is out ofstate, so it was non hurricane related.
Yeah, it was non payment.His job is just not fantastic.

Oh yeah, so they that yourbuddy must have been like, thank you
so much. That was huge reachout and kind of put themselves in a
vulnerable position, you know exactly,And he said, I'm really embarrassed even
to ask, but can you helpme? And I said, of course,

long time. That's amazing. Andyou know, you put that out there
and it just somehow magically comes backto you, doesn't it always? Yeah,
