At least two hundred teachers are falsely certified. Now, speaking
of HISD and money, they told voters their four point
four billion dollar bond proposal wouldn't raise taxes, but if

(00:44):
you voted, you'll see what the ballot says. It says
it is a property tax increase. Your rate won't increase,
but your overall tax burden.

by our friends at Goodwill Houston. Oh my gosh, these

Speaker 1 (01:51):
A TikTok video that they created at La Hacienda Bakery
in Houston, people from as far away as California are like,
oh my gosh, please send these to us. You see
the pumpkin spice filling oozing out as the Lahacienda bakers
just show these beautiful pumpkin themed conscious and five hundred

(02:13):

of all the loft. Never in their wildest dreams did
they think that this simple TikTok video would just go crazy,
and it has.

Island and both.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Of which are reportedly very haunted.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Their advanced coordinator says they have these bursts of lights
randomly in employees saying they've seen apparition of sailors walking
down the corridors, my people in Victorian clothing from the
eighteen hundreds walking past, even a volunteer claiming they were
shoved off the deck by one of them. These ghost
haunts have sold out since they started, and it's generated
a lot of buzz. So if you've been looking for
some last minute's books, maybe check out the Galveston Naval

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Now, Elijah, are you a big fan of Halloween? Yes?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
I am a love trick or treating?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Okay, all right, so trigger treating is your thing? Now?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Since your tricker treating and you love it so much,
what is your costume this year?

Speaker 4 (04:56):
My costume this year is Dwight from the Aufice.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh my, oh my god, you are Elijah. How did
you come up with that? Was that help from mom?
Or do you just figure that out on your own?

Speaker 4 (05:09):
I did figure that out on my own.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, so creative.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Here's a guy who's gonna go you need to be
in theater in school, right?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:18):
I love it, Elijah.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
And when you do your trick or treating, what's your
favorite candy to get?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Oh that's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It's either twicks or the right Okay, and one last question, Elijah,
where do you store your candy stash?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Where do you hide it?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I hide it from my mom in my room. Okay,
so you don't have to give away the hiding space
because then mom is probably listening now and then she's
gonna go get it right.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yep, Oh my gosh, you are.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
So what's your favorite subject in school? Hunt? Right now?

Speaker 4 (05:52):
I get science?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Nice?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Wow, Well you enjoy and I hope you have the
best trick or treating time on Halloween.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
And Elijah, I'm so glad you listened to Sonny.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Thank you. I love Sonny.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Well, we love you. So you all have any time. Okay,
m M. And we've got Nicole calling in from beautiful Chema.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Okay, we're talking Halloween, our favorite things, maybe traditions.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
What's it for you? Nicole?

Speaker 5 (06:16):
So when I was really young, my mom went out
of town with both my sisters and my dad had
to stay behind. I must have been like, I don't know,
seven years old, and I remember I came home from
school and I was super bummed because it had got
cold and it was raining really bad.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Well, my dad said, put on your Halloween costume. It
doesn't matter if it's just you and I. So he
got a pillowcase, you know, he said that's how him
and his brothers would do it. He got a pillowcase
and he took me to gas station, the mall, just
anywhere that he could take me inside. And I ended
up filling up my pillowcase. He's like, we're not going
to stop and fill the pillowcase. Is you know, kind

(06:51):
of fool And back then my pillowcase was like, you know,
like a seven year old pillowcase, so it's smaller. Yeah,
And he just took me out all night everywhere, and
these gas stations would give me full size candy bars.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Yeah, I remember that memory.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
And I'm thirty nine now, Nicole.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Awesome, oreat Dad that you did that. Do you ever
say thank you so much? That was such a great memory.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Yes, And he has since passed like a year ago
to kidney teller, But that was one memory that him
and I would always share together, was that Halloween night.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Oh I am so glad you shared that with that.
I bet there's a dad out there who's going to
do that too. They're going to go to the gas
station to get the kids. The supersized candy bars rain.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
This year, so if that happens, you know, to all
those moms and dads, did your kids load them up
and go to the gas station?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Is great advice.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Nicole, thanks for Sharon loving such a great memory. Sorry
about your dad's loss, but I'm glad you have wonderful memories.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Yes, great memory. Thank you so much for kissing much
