Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. I'm Tony Cruz NewsRadio eight forty whs SO.
A US official has confirmed to the media yesterday that
President Joe Biden has decided to grant Ukraine permission to
use US provided long range weapons deep into Russian territory.
Russia would consider this an act of war by the
United States, joining US to talk about this. Jason Campadonia
(00:23):
and from Nbcities Radio, Jason, good morning, thoughts, prayers, What
are we doing now?
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Let's start with prayers. So critics of Joe Biden say
this is not good. This is a way to start
World War three as you're exiting out of office and
hand President elect Donald Trump a big mess and that
will keep him occupied for the first part of his administration,
so he won't be able to bank on his campaign promises.
(00:52):
And then it's the long political game already setting up
for twenty twenty eight. You know, Donald Trump didn't do this,
he did do that. He didn't do this, he didn't
do that. But what Trump has said is that he's
the guy. If he would have been in office, none
of this ever would have started. He's also saying that, hey,
I'm going to pull you know this money that we're
sending over here. We need to fix problems here, and
(01:15):
I think that's really what his base is saying. But
it is tense times as Ukraine has the ability to
use these missiles against Russia, North Korea sending troops into Russia,
and it is forming up to be a giant mess
at the moment.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well, you're exactly right, there's problems here on both fronts.
First of all, I don't understand the change by President
Biden because for you know, the entire war, we have
refused the United States to grant weapons request to go
with these kind of weaponry inside of Russia. I'm talking about,
(01:54):
you know, where civilians obviously could be killers. And then
Ukraine's already done drone strikes and have said that Russians
have said that cividens have been killed. But the other
thing is apparently this is just a limited supply of
these type of weapons. It's not going to be a
game changer overall by a lot of military standards to
(02:16):
keep Russia from doing what they want you know later.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
On, right, it is a let me flex my muscle,
let me show you what I got. But that's really
all I got, right, you know, there's not a lot
behind it. Yeah, and so which makes it even scarier
because now you're you're anteing up on the card table
there and the guy next to you is saying, hey,
I'm all in, and you're saying, well, I'm all in,
(02:41):
but your stack is a little bit shorter than there.
I mean, obviously we can kind of assume that Russia
is stacked with long range missiles and if they really
wanted to, they could blow Ukraine off the face of
the planet. That's what we do not want as Americans
because that is going to get everybody in that area involved,
and that brings China and everything else in there. Hopefully
(03:03):
this will not, like you said, not be a game changer.
Hopefully that this is just sort of a hey, we
have we have the ability, so watch your step, and
if Russia listens to it, maybe this de escalates a
little bit sooner than expected.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Well well see, I mean, Zelensky probably thinks this may
be the last stand or their last attempt if they
don't get you know, supplies coming in from Republican Congress
and Republican President. And you know, you understand that they
feel that strain, but it's still not going to be
changing the war. I mean, Russia has too much for
what Ukraine can handle over time, so peace negotiations have
(03:42):
to start coming in. One would think at some point,
what's NATO's response, Do we know.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
You know, they're warming up to the idea. The reports
that we're getting is that everybody in NATO is warming
up to the idea of peace talks with President Trump.
But it's going to be interesting that if in January
he goes and meets with Putin, you know, first week
in office. Hey, let me go to Russia. Let me
get Jim Kim, John Un. Let me get a meeting
with that guy as well. So it's gonna be really
interesting to see what happens. And you know, maybe they
(04:11):
send President elect Trump a little bit early just to
kind of de escalate the situation. I think. I think, honestly,
like everybody, everybody involved globally does not want World War three, right,
So if you send President Trump elect over there early,
maybe you start those peace talks before he's actually in
office and can do something to help the situation.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Not gonna ask you. Surely, surely we got more firepower.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. Surely they've
got back channels.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Going right, right exactly. Somebody's on the phone with somebody saying, Hey,
this is the bargaining chip that we're willing to put
on the table. What are you guys willing to give up?
What are you willing to do? What you are you
willing to draw from? Over here and move over there?
I mean high complex conversations with generals and everybody else.
I'm sure happening already because Trump has said that, Hey,
(05:03):
when I get in there, this is over. But if
I am Zelenski, I'm a little bit worried because his
funding is about to dry up.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, I think you're right, and you know, we can
see what can happen when every you know, you're out
to your last stand. Well, hopefully this doesn't occur, but
I appreciate your time this morning. Jason Jason Campadonia joining
