Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's showtime, people, it's showtime here.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We are yes for this.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
You're about to experience this show. How would you like
to get down with some real gangsters with the ringleader Eddie.
I'm weird and I have my weird quirks, but overall
I have a pretty normal sensibility.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
The accountant and room mothers Sky. I'm also not very
brave nor strong.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
The enforcer thor Am I negative all the time?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Do I have issues? And dressed in black from head
to toe?

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Emily, I am a mix of trashy and classes.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
It's the show and it starts right now. Well, yesterday
we got pretty confused by our girl Emily. We covered
this in our P one podcast, the show's after show
that we do every single day.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
In the P one podcast, we kind of broke it
down because it didn't make any sense. What's Emily? Nothing
that she does ever say that. She just, on a whim,
of course, decided she wanted to go with her son
to the movies. Now that's a normal decision, that's not
that crazy. But she decided to go to the movies
at twelve forty five. Well, if you know anything about Emily,

(01:16):
she lives for her nap. Oh yeah, like I mean,
talks about it NonStop. As soon as these microphones are off,
she's out the door and wants to get home in
her comfy pajamas and like laid down and.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
If her nap day, sorry, if your nap day doesn't
go the way you planned, we will hear about it
the following day.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Oh, absolutely, leading up to it. Usually, if I don't
get a nap for one day prior, I'll be like, oh,
it's coming up here, you guys, this coming Thursday, it's a.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
No nap day.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
It's so much that like all my friends and family
know about it too, which is wild. Like you guys
are like my closest like people close toee each other
every day, but like all have friends go ooh sorry,
they call it eleven they go helpe, I'm not interrupting
the nap.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
So naps are so important to you, So it didn't
make sense to us to schedule a movie at twelve
forty five prime naptop. But you were saying, because your
son's home, you know, it's summer, that you were feeling
bad that he wasn't really doing anything, and you wanted
to go to the movies for something for him to do.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Correct, that's all correct. Yeah, I just thought I was
feeling a little mom guilt, and so I decided that
he's fourteen years old.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I would take it's going to be fifteen in a
couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, I know. When is that going to go away
when he's like twenty five? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Probably guilt thirty one. Got some mom guilt on probably
still not just at home.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
And also like who you do? Yeah, him and I
haven't really been doing anything together because you should miss that.
I missed doing stuff once in a while, like having
a little bonding time, and so I wanted to go
to the movies.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
That's why you can't just have one kid.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Man, it's tough.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
This is why you.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Can't do it.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
That what you're saying, It is tough. Yeah, and so yeah,
so it just popped. It was like, I don't know,
towards the end of the show yesterday and I was
kind of thinking about what was going to happen the
rest of the day day, and then that's when I said,
you know what, I'm not I don't need my nap.
It's okay, I got okay sleeping for and I'm gonna.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
See I was convincing herself.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Oh okay, I'm like, because I don't know. If I was.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Anybody else, she'd be Oh my god, my god, I
know I'm gonna be doing at twelve forty five, you lose.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Those are all facts. There's as and so I was
thinking about what to do with him, and then I
remembered that yesterday was the big opening day for the
new Jurassic World movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. Wow is coming out?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
A fun fact.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I like all the movies from the beginning Jurassic Park.
I actually didn't watch a lot of the second Jurassic
I've seen him like once or twice. What is it like,
Jurassic Lost World?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, Dress Part three underrated?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Oh really not as bad as which one is that one? Talon?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, like a missing kid? Not bad, not bad.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
I tapped out at the first Dress Park movie. Love
the first Drassic.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Tapped out like Dress World.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I don't think so is that. No, I haven't seen
any of.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
The christ really good.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
I mean, the first one is obviously the first one.
Jurassic Park is obviously the best one.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, No, I've seen the new.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
One was good, and then it was just the same
thing as it always say the dinosaurs they escaped, they're
coming after steal money or save somebody steal money. Sometimes
that happens it was a bad guy who's trying to
steal like DNA or something.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
It's always that story every single time, and so I
kind of cheered up. But that's not it's neither here
nor there. I liked all the Jurassic World movies.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
You know what, why are the dinosaurs always the bad guy?
They're dinosaurs. They're doing dinosaur things. They're doing dinosaur things.
They treat them as if they're these cold blooded killers,
like they're like, you know, Ted Bundy.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
They're not doing anything the dinosaurs.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
What do you expect they created them.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
They should just be bad at themselves for being idiots
in themselves in front of the dinosaurs. What you're saying
that should be the Bond movie them hating them.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Humans are the bad guys.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Richard Attenborough, Yeah, per Son of a Bitch, Mosquito not
cool man. So Emily big fan, yes, and decided all right,
tomorrow yesterday was the day you're going to go to
the movies. Now we found out you don't go to

(05:23):
just any movies like normal people. You will only go
to the movies if they have reclining seats.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
She said it was quote gross to sit in a
regular movie recline, one of the douchier things you'll ever
hear anyone say.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Ever, then she says she always brings a blanket for
her and her son.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Which is creepy. I get when you're eight years old,
little kid, seven kids seven, but when the kid's like fourteen, fifteen,
it's a little weird. He likes to be cozy. I'm
sure that was a direct quote. Gonna love hearing you
say that on the radio, because.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
He's a cozy guy guy.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I mean.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
At the end of the People podcast today, Eddie was
referencing his rope.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
He was asking, so he's at the movie theater with
his mom, with his mommy, and you guys have both
got your blankets blankies, and then another kid walks in.
They're not going to make fun of them, just going, oh,
there's Red being cozy.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
He's so, yeah, what's the review? How was how was
the movie?

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Are You Cozy?

Speaker 4 (06:31):
So? A lot a lot happened leading up to the movie.
Actually the showtime happening it was that it was in
Mission Valley. It was on the AMC they have fun. Fact,
they have like a pretty big reclining theater there. They
have a couple of them. It's like the Dolby Ones,
those recuct.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
You act like it's hidden.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Everybody thought. Everyone knows you were on your breaking news here,
very aware of it.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
It's like this giant mall in the middle of central
San Diego. I think it was breaking news about miss
Volume All.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I'm going to the theater.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
I mean, when you go right there, you're giving hot tip.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
You don't give you more. So anyway, we get to
this amazing movie theater right there in mission valance. And
we arrived and I get popcorn, and we're going to
walk into the theater a couple of minutes, like two
minutes after showtime was supposed to start. So I was thinking,
would get there right when previous would be running and
find Dandy, you get your assigned seats, all that other stuff.
And so we get in there and it's really weird

(07:33):
because the screen is completely black.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Wait, where's Maria Manuno's with movie news?

Speaker 7 (07:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:38):
I need in the trivia? Yeah, facts on what are
you talking about? He's not where's the Yeah, where's the now?
One hundred commercials they play before the previous start.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
And then and then like five commercials about how great
the movies are. I'm already here.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yeah, you did the money. I got the student film
director showing me how I can go get Cokakola.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah, and Tom Cruise telling me how great movie theaters are.
You gotta be at the movies.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Not happening, guys, completely Blank's screen. Lights are still on,
but they're dimmed. And then completely no sound, no sound,
no music, no nothing.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
It's just dead.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Silence and people. It's kind of weird you to hear
people eating anyway, that's all.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I hate that sound too.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Yeah, it's really gross. And so that's odd, and I'm like, huh.
I'm like looking at my phone. I'm going okay. I
was supposed to start twelve forty five. Now we're at
like twelve forty eight, and I'm like, this is weird.
We sit in our seats and I am confused about
what's going on.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
That's not oh like it's not cozy what I did.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
And I was going for my head. I think I
might have said it out loud. So this is happening. Now,
time's going by and I'm going to read and like
I'm hearing. The people next to me aren't even talking
about what's going on. It's just me, Like, I feel
like the only one talking about I'm like, what's going on?
It's like now it's like twelve fifty and there's still
nothing on the TV.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Space now, I feel when people play loud music at ten.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
O'clock, when you hear.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
The music, everyone's excuse me. You hear the music in
your neighborhood, somebody partying, it's annoying, and I'm like, someone
has to be here in this ki. I can't be
the only one that wants to call the police right now.
I hate these situations because I'd be in this situation
and I'd be like, how is no one else complaining
about it?

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Like everyone's because you have too many of these chicks
out point that sky. You won't say anything.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
It was the crazy We're five minutes in crazy?

Speaker 4 (09:19):
What's going on? And is going to get out?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Skuy would still be sitting there.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah, right now.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
You also have to understand Emily. If Emily gets something
in her head, it's over. Yeah, it's freaking weird, but
you're you're gonna do something about it.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
You're absolutely right, And I legit was hesitating and hesitating
and hesitating. I didn't go out, I didn't get up
or do anything until about ten ish minutes in, and
I go I have to wait that surprise for me.
So I get up and I start walking out of
the theater. And there's another guy that's walking out at
the same time as me, because he wants to go
investigates going on. Anyway, he finds a guy in the
hallway and MC guy and he's telling him what's going

(09:59):
on on the went back. The guy was saying, Hey,
this might be a big problem that happened to me
once where the everything wasn't working and so but anyway,
fifteen minutes later they got it working.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
So it's forty five minute.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
You know, I thought was the honest thing at the
time of the movie at twelve forty five, wouldn't you
think an AMC person, if it's not starting right away, would.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Come in an update for sure, not one update.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
They just started the movie.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I mean, obviously, I'm getting a free movie pass for
next you you, I mean.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Obviously, so you're gonna say this is unacceptable, wasting my time?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
I mean, one when you're honestly, when you're leaving the
movie theater. They should be standing there being like, we're
really sorry, enjoy your next movie is on us, next
movie's on us, obviously.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Wow, But when you're on a high after watching Jurassic
World Rebirth, you're probably not even thinking that.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
I mean, honestly, would ruin the movie for me? Doesn't
just be consumed with this time, because I would say,
I would say, after I talked to the AMC guy,
I would say, I really hope this is compensated later,
thank you.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
But I like how professional you are of your complaining.
You know, you gotticulous.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
I was just in Florida the Keys, and my parents
complained so much. They got a free six hundred and
forty five your mom's master. It's a gift, and when
they're together, they're the eighteen.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
The eighteen. Well, I didn't do any of that. I
just sat there. I was excited that the movie was starting.
So here we go. Movie starts, and I'm super excited.
We get to the beginning of the movie. It's a
couple of minutes in typical, typical, typical Jurassic World. Stuff
are loose. Johansson's the hot chick, like in every one

(11:36):
of them, with the tight tanktops sweaty.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
That was a great human strength to keep his hands
over the blanket. Well, he's wearing a blanket. Okay, we're
watching is cozy.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
And that's when all of a sudden, like after like
five minutes in, I hear what so the guy sitting
directly next to read to the lou I go, Robert Barnsey,
did you come allowed to come to movies with us?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Because this is what happens.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
The guy next to Read is sawn logs snoring so loud.
Oh my god, I'm telling you, and I know loud
snoring because the Robert it's crazy and he's not stopping
and it's going on for like a minute or two,
which is a long time.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
That's easy again, get your jujub's whatever, and you just
what are.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
My eminem's face?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Absolutely, it's dark. You don't know where that thing came from.
A whip it at him and then I just keep eating.
I'm into the movie. I do that every I would
do that easily.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Really, so I didn't do that. But the person sitting
to the left of the guy snoring, he is like
not having it, and so I keep hearing him going,
excuse me, sir, sir, excuse me, sir, trying to wake
the guy up.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
So he doesn't know him, he doesn't know. That's crazy.
I would have now thinking about I would have done.
He did, but but but I probably would have got
got somebody from the AMC and complained again.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Are you ever gonna watch the movie?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Watch?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I'm gonna go back? Okay, oh wow.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
So the guy did end up going to get somebody
from Yeah, And then they came over and it was
loud because the movie was getting loud with the weeks
worth of free to It's like the Doldy sound system once.
So it's like everything every time the dinosaur steps, the
whole theater shaking and stuff. Sola the Boss of Water exactly,
So he ended up taking care of that. So here

(13:33):
we go. The guy's not snoring anymore, so I can
just enjoy the movie, and like I said, it's just
a typical Jurassic World movie. But I don't know if
it was you guys getting my head yesterday or not,
but it was coming to my attention of how ridiculous
these movies are.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Let me guess at the end, the t Rex safe them.
One of the things that was going on in my.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Mind the whole time is that Meherscha Allie who's in
the movie. He's wearing like a like a little red
beret on the side of his head, Like this is
what he's like.

Speaker 8 (14:05):
You know.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
They find him in one of the remote towns in
you know, South America and all this other stuff, and
he's gonna go on this mission with them. But he's
wearing this bray fine Indian whatever. He looks like a
militant guy or whatever. And so the whole time, though,
I couldn't get over this beret because no matter what
he was doing, that beret never came off. I mean,
he's running away from Dinostaury, he's swimming with the beret
on and it never comes up. And that was my

(14:27):
biggest takeaway from the movies.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
It's like in the last one Brice Dallas Howard running
full speed and like.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
But of course it was great, like thumbs up, super entertaining.
It's ridiculous, but it's entertaining.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Were you the only ones with were you the only
ones with blankets that you could see?

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, because everyone else with blank everyone out there is
like this weird.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I want to cover up the snoring guy and just
been like took him in. Yeah, would be nice. Yeah,
How soon when you're getting ready in the morning, do
you know it's gonna be a bad day? This is
not ket Well, we're gonna see how quickly we know
whether it's gonna be a good day or bad day
in the morning. Coming up next on the show, A
rock with a five three Motley Crewe kicking off throwback

(15:17):
Thursday on the show, It's Rock one O, five to three.
Uh So we all have our different morning routines. As
you get up in the morning. You know, maybe you know,
you brush your teeth right away, maybe jump the shower
right away, maybe we breakfast right whatever it is you're doing.
How quickly during that routine are you gonna figure out
this is either gonna be a good day or a

(15:39):
bad day. Well, they looked into this and did a
whole study on it, and I guess it happens pretty quickly. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
They pulled two thousand excuse me adults about their morning
and their morning routine and what they're doing. And it
is really interesting because a lot of them say they
base how their whole entire day will go based on
how tired or alert you are when you wake up
like literally, when you just sit up on your bed,

(16:08):
that's the moment you're really thinking about, how is this
all gonna go?

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Like it sucks when I wake up wide a wake
at two am, ready to go, but I'm like.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
It's two am.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
I can't fall back asleep.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Well I can, but I know I'm gonna wake up
again in two hours, miserable because it's the way that
sleep cycle works. Yeah, and it just stinks. Or like
if I get up like this morning, got up out
of bed at four ten and then just came to
the station, it's.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Great you you were here about ten minutes early. Yeah,
which surprised me.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
At four ten lit a little stuff behind the scenes,
you know what.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
And that's I don't know, And I feel good.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
But yesterday opposite, got up late. It's rushing, got woken up,
woken up by my wife.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Yeah, we've got it.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
And I was just like I I you can't turn
it around when I get no, when I.

Speaker 8 (17:03):
Get just set on it.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I like to set couch like a solid ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
This is one of the weird things. You did.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Start a couch like ten minutes, a deep breathe, and
then my cat Kim sweetpee. She comes and sits on
my lap and purse and we have a moment. Is
that a good That's a good way to start your day.
And then my alarm goes off because I don't want
to because I'm deep breathing.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
I'm in so.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Deep, and you set an alarm to get up off
the couch because.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I'm breathing, alarm.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I want to do it for like ten I want
a deep breathe for ten minutes and I don't want
to God forbid fall asleep or they go longer or
you know what I mean, and maybe yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
A long time.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yeah, wow, good for you. You get like dizzy with
all that optionygen.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
I was like for somebody that is like if you
have anxiety or a d D or like doing that,
it's like really good for you.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
So I try to do that, but I'm problems only
do like once a week.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
That's the problem.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Oh, that is a problem.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
It's all because I don't want to get up because
Ryan along goes off at three fifty. Get up, I do,
get up, walk to the other side of the bedroom,
turn off the alarm, and then go back to.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
That's insanity, that is insane. So yeah, that that moment
when you first get up. I'll people base a lot
on that, but the overall average if today is going
to be a good day or a bad day is
established within the first ten minutes of meeting.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
About the breathing, Okay, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
You got a breathing I do, Yeah, I definitely do.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
So it's kind of like I'm always tired when I
wake up, Like, how are you ever rested? When we
get the sleep that any of us get. So it's
like I don't ever judge it in like, I'll judge
it later this morning breathing.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
I love bit, Yeah, okay, about five minutes, five minutes breathing.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, So Emily, you'll go to mid day before.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
You not mad day, I would say mid morning, mid morning.
I don't ever make a decision like today's gonna.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Usually Mondays are rough for Emily, Like she comes down
on Monday, it takes a while to get going. While going,
she'll tell you that she needs a nap. You know,
usually Mondays are rough, but like Thursday, she's back.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
That's true, it's just the tired level. But I never
decide that I'm going to have a bad day. I
don't ever do you guys ever think of today's gonna No,
I don't. I don't know what's happened. If there's ebbs.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
And flows, I'm like that t shirt, no bad days day.
I mean, it has to be something that will happen
that will irritate me here at work. Yeah, that'll kind
of send me into it a little bit of a tizzy.
That will that could set my tone for the rest
of the day, or you know, if you get into
our argument with your wife or whatever. But it's it's

(19:52):
those kinds of things are pretty rare for me. So
I don't have a lot of like, oh, these a
bad day. You know, I'm gonna be in a bad mood.
I'll wake up hired. But then you know, I mean
I turned the magic on, personality comes out. I feel
like Eddie is no bad days. Sky is the hanging
their cat. Yeah, you're right, You're right that Sky.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
I keep telling, I keep telling you keep.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
A great call. That's a great call.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Yeah, there's a lot of mantras that said to myself
in the morning about how this will.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Be a good day.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
You have affirmations written on your mirror.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
No, no, are you to a worthy Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Are you sound beautiful.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Post its, but they start to fall off.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
They were like from the ninety nine cent store, so
they weren't that good. But now they're just in my head,
like today is going to be a great day. You're
going to do wonderful things. You're healthy, you're strong, like all.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Of these things.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Do you still have that book in your purse?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, my my journal where I.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Your affirmation affirmation? Call it journal because I mean all
it is you just write stuff and draw.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Yeah if dollars signs wherever.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
If someone else.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
Looked at it, they'd be like this as a crazy person,
because it is a lot of scribbling.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Okay, that's not nice.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Well, I mean facts.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
What are the things.

Speaker 6 (21:15):
That people say can happen early in the morning that
will make them say to their head, today sucks.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Number one, Getting toothpaste on my shirt.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
I don't know that that's number one your all days.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Change the shirt I just ruined. I already washed it. Please,
it's so hard to get toothpaste stains off your shirt.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
That is actually number two. Spilling something on your world.
As for your already dress, whether it's from breakfast, your toothpaste.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Take up no, because change this shirt.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
It happens.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I already washed the shirt. I already washed it, so
we put it on. Now I got to re wash it.
No one got to see it anytime you washed. You
you realize nobody cares about your shirts. Nobody great, sure
right now, I'm not saying it's not, but nobody cares
whether I see it or not.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
This i'd be you have a washer and dryer.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Yeah, but I already washed it.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Slowed because I got it, because I don't because I
already washed it. I want to wear it. It's a
whole thing. It's number two for a reason.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Man.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Okay, so that's number two.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
What's the number one thing that'll throw our entire morning off?
If something happens with our coffee? If the automatic coffee
maker doesn't go off, you're out of ground, You're out
of your creamer.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Get it at home.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Almost you just figure it out. I mean, the day's
not done.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
You're right.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
It's the moment.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Are you in a little bit of a mood?

Speaker 4 (22:39):
She is for like an hour? And then I get
over the coffee.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
She because I'll be like, hey, Emily, and she was like,
you have Starbucks? You forgot my coffee? That lasts for twenty.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Minutes and then you get your Starbucks and you're happy.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Yeah. I don't understand these really, I think.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I mean, you're sitting in a class.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
From work, right, so my guy and get toothpaste on.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
You see a little oh he freakd.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
We are in summer now, and you probably like different
things about summer. What is it do you like about summer.
We're gonna go over our favorite things about summer when
we get back on the show and Rock with a five.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
Three Black Cruise on Throwback Thursday.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
It's the show. It's rock one O five to three. Uh,
tomorrow is July fourth, exciting, Yeah, get ready to cell
burn Mark. It's gonna be a good time. Uh so yeah,
I mean that's uh, that's summer. We're in summer, right, Yeah,
weather's heating up. It's good stuff for this is today

(23:53):
the first day of Wow. Pretty high up. That's a
lot of thigh. I didn't say that. I didn't say
they were like cut or anything.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I mean, they don't need to be cut, but they're bigger.
I think they're bigger. I mean I'm squatty more than
I have in a long time.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I don't need to be.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Anyway.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
You won't see pants again until probably late October. I'll
have a sudden next time you see pants.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Wow, whoa, that's it done?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Because it gets hot in September and October.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
No, but I mean that's it. You can't have pants,
And I mean when it's crazy, what's crazy?

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I put them away.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
I brought the shorts.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
You can't, Eddie said them sending me yesterday's like, no
shorts yet, And I went, you know, you're right, I'm
gonna pull the trigger.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Pulled it.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Yeah, what about for like.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
A dinner or something. You go to a nice dinner.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
I got fancy shorts. I got fancy shorts.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Huh yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
And if I do, if I do, like my wife's like,
you really need to wear pants to draw, I gotta
do a whole thing. But also wearing santle thing.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
That's so weird how you have a pants and a
short season you like commit like you can't break.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Us and around.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Okay, if I wearing pants now like skys wearing pants.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Look, she's got a giant sweater on it. What do
you cold for?

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Jillian here socks and her sandals.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
No she does, it's not time to take the socks off.
Yet we sh're not wearing overalls.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
Okay, Robert common and when I left the house about
how cute I looked, and he loved my outfit.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Oh that's all that matters fashion, because it is summer.
What are our favorite things about summer? What do you
love about it? Emily?

Speaker 4 (25:35):
I love the beach and pool days. I guess what
I would say, but my favorite holidays fall.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Unfortunately I didn't ask you what your favorite holiday? I
just said, what do you like about summer?

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Beach and pool days and wearing sun dresses?

Speaker 3 (25:45):
There you go, there you go.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
My sames supposed to like about the summer. It's like
summer year around pretty much in San Diego. We have
a chili winter.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
It gets cold.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
There's certain things you could go ice cream, Well you
get you you could say ice cream, or you know,
going out and going out on your boat.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Okay, there you go, going out on the water. Nice
day on the sea.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Why are you angry?

Speaker 3 (26:13):
I don't know why? Why this turn? I just asked
her what you liked about summer and start talking about fall?
What the hell is that all about? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
People could say baseball, dark watching.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
I'm going to get to him.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
But you go weird, So I don't know what to say.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
What do you like about summer? Water parks? Water parks?

Speaker 2 (26:37):
I can though, Yeah, it's time just.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Go, just go because I feel weird at this point,
almost forty.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Uh go to.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
The Silk City in places like that or whatever.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah city, I gotta go with people, you know, and
I don't want to borrow my son. You could go
with and I go with Jack Absolutely, Okay, he'd love it.
I would get him out of the house.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
I'm down.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
I'll take I'll take Jack.

Speaker 7 (27:01):
Read.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
That's a crew.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Three of us will have a great time. Wow, that's
a crew.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
You want to do?

Speaker 1 (27:06):
He would yet for me, No, I don't know. He's
so yeah, we could do that. And then also baseball,
because summer reminds me of baseball.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Baseball so much.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Uh for me, I'm not a big summer guy. Too hot,
you know. I don't do well. I don't do well
any you know. But I mean I'll take a dip
in the pool, things like that. But my favorite part
about summer is grilling season. I love when I get
my grill going, which I already have. This past weekend,
I was grilling chicken and so I love cooking food

(27:40):
on the barbecue grill, which you probably can most of
the year, but it is better in summer. And there's
like specific summer dishes for me, and so grilling season
nothing beats it.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Wow, Eddie, what about that summer corn.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Sky. What's your favorite thing about summer?

Speaker 6 (28:00):
I got a couple. Summer is my favorite season. Unlike
all you negative nancies in the room, produce fresh produce
in summer.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
It's so hard to beat.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
What a weird thing to say.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
The sweet corn, the strawberries, the water malice stuff like yum.
So that's always high up there. But I'm kind of like,
you know, I don't know. I don't know if this
is an old thing or if this is like just
some weird animal thing. But I'm very affected by when
it gets dark, Like if it's even getting dusk out, I.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Gotta lock it down.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
So the fact that summer we get more sunlight, longer
and it's warmer, I feel like I have literally more
hours of the day and I can go outside if
if if it's dusk, I gotta be in Pj's.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Like if I'm not in pj's, you know what am
I doing?

Speaker 6 (28:51):
So I honestly feel like summer doubles my days, and
and I'll like be outside when the sun's going down,
I'll be like, wow, look at me.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
I didn't think it would get weirder after what Emily said.
I just did it.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Truth.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
It's the truth.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
That's how it's hard to hear.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Well. They asked people, well, what are your favorite things
about summer?

Speaker 6 (29:11):
And a third of people summer is their favorite time
of year. And these are the things they say that yeah,
they do it summertime that remind of them summer and
they love it.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
Bottom of the list. We're not going to relate chasing
fireflies fireflies that really, yes, we had fireflies.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
I never seen one. Really, where would I see one?
California boy, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
You traveled to the East coast next true summer, make
the trip.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
From the fireflies. This is weird.

Speaker 6 (29:39):
Some people love the smell of sunscreen, Okay, weird.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I mean there's people who love the smell of ghasoline.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
I hate when you spray the spray on. Somebody say,
hey can spray my back, and it's always really cold.
They can't do anything to make that to warm that up.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Well, I'm always.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Freezing cold.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Every time?

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Are you over dramatic?

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Like that sun? It's so cold? We keep our sunscream
outside so it's you know, if tip tip help every time.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Always blame the person. Oh yeah, what are you doing?
They put it in the freezer or something.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Number five. Thing we love about summer going to fares
and festivals. That's always fun.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
Number four driving with the windows down or even better,
convertible and your top is down.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
I'll never do that.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
There's nothing more annoying than the one person wants to
put the window down that skuy.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I hate you fresh air. I hate you no fresh
I have fresh air from the air conditioning.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
That's not fresh air.

Speaker 6 (30:44):
Conditions air, that's fresh air.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
To roll your window up?

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Oh no, no, never. Number three.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Anything about summer is swimming in a pool, going to
a pool party. Number two is spending time at a
beach or a lake. Number one is the smell of
a grill. Clue we're eating outside is everybody's number.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
Where's Emily's son? Read is into something new and Emily
is not so sure about it, a little confused. We're
gonna see what is into these days? Coming up next
on the show and Rock with a five. Three whoa

(31:27):
on the show. It's Rock one five three. So I
guess Emily is a little confused about what's going on
with her fourteen year old son, Reid. Reid has always
been a different cat. He's been into different sort of
things that you would never really expect a kid to
be into. Like he's been into garbage trucks, and he

(31:50):
was really into like public works.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
The streets, like to the point where he was making
his own street sweepers at home, and like the engineering
behind it.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Like that's how into it he won.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
He used to wear things to school like construction.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Vests, reflective vest days.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Yes, a full train engineer outfit. Yes, you know you
want to do not or you would be humiliated.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Yes a certain age.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
If he was still doing that going into high school.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
I wish he was. That would be amazing. I would
respect it. Wow, I would respect it.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Yeah, he's just a different kid. And he's such a
different kid about a lot of different things, Like so
different than my man, his dad, Robert, and I like
as far as his beliefs go, and a lot of
different things as far as his political preferences. He's a
big political guy right now talking to me about how
I ran and stuff.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
But how does he know that does? What's the news? Like?

Speaker 4 (32:53):
How does I don't know? Like kids these days, I
don't know where they're guys. You're right, but he's telling
me about the is in that it was bombed and
all this other stuff.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
I would love to hear this.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
We need to start doing a read news breakdown.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
Ask our friends at Cogo if they want to put
him on.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Oh, I would rather have that. I don't want to
give it. I don't want to give that up.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
So every like Wednesday it's seven fifteen, calls in and
gives us our news.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Break down down what happens.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
I don't think he can.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
He's just talking about Iran. Yeah, it's pretty wild.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Yeah, Like he's very he's very like Republican in his
views or right sided. I guess you would say where
it kind of crazy is where does he get that from?

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Because your mom marched in the no Kings thing?

Speaker 3 (33:40):
You are.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
My family's very liberal, so is Robert. Yeah, so it
makes no sense. You do live in like Moore, East County.
He's around a lot of East County kids.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
He's around a lot of these kind of kids. He
loves the military. I mean that's another thing that like,
he's just obsessed with it. He has been forever. So
I'm not sure if this.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Is you want to work.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
He would Probably that would be a dream come true.
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Probably not going to relocate to Florida soon, So then
maybe his new interests sort of makes sense.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
So he went to summer camp two weeks ago. It
was for an overnight summer camp, dropping him off for
a whole week.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Yeah, I remember last year you had some issues with this,
Remember when you drove all the way down there and
stood at the fence just to get a glimpse of
him a little much.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
There's not not any technology there.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Parents aren't supposed to be there. You you.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
You can't say anything about this lady guy ever again
because I forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Emily does some pretty wild that it was.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Tough for her that first sleep away.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Just as bad, pretty bad.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
You're pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Yeah, this guy's the worst guy is not. I have
massive issues. But you're up there, you're up there, You're right,
You're one.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Be what you're talking about. This time dropping off the
camp went a lot better. No tears, no tears this
time around. It was a operation until we get into
the camp, the cabin when we'redropping him off, we get
him situated, and he puts his stuff on his bed
and all this other stuff, and that's when he's emptying out,
you know, putting his sleeping bag on the bed and
all of his gear kind of out. And the last

(35:22):
thing he grabs out of his backpack is a huge,
gigantic Holy Bible.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Not just a regular Bible.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Holy Bible.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
I don't know, says holy Bible on the cover. So
you just called it the Bible. I mean, nobody says holy.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Written by different people.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
No, it wasn't. It's just the Bible. It's the Bible,
holy Bible. I don't know what she said holy.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Actually Jesus actually wrote the Holy by the regular Bible.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Regular. I don't know why she said that holy Bible.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
That's what I see.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Where did we get a Bible?

Speaker 4 (35:58):
So that's when I go, first of all, after your house, right,
No way, First, I'm confused because I go, where did
that come from? Like that's my not direction where that
he stole it from?

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Church?

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Could take after me. When I was young going to
Catholic school, I did steal holy water once because I
was so obsessed with praying and stuff that I put
it in a little fire station a Catholic school.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
You were obsessed with praying, so you stole and.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Doesn't do that. I don't even want to sit next
to it.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
So you know, it could have been apple doesn't far
fall from the tree. But no, it turns out it
was Robert's Bible. Robert, I guess when he was in prison.
I was given as they gave them to them if
they wanted a Bible like you could have you want
to read to read? Yeah, And so he had a Bible.
He took it with him when he checked out a prison,

(36:56):
and he had it in a drawer I guess in
the beautiful and I guess read came across it in
the garage when he was doing stuff and asked Robert,
what this? Who was this? Can he have it? Oh?
And I'm so I'm so confused dropping him off a
camp about this Bible where it came from? And my

(37:16):
main confusion is, you're going to read.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
The Bible like summer camp.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
At summer camp, he has a summer reading book to
do before high school that he was told I told
him to bring. Okay, Oh he didn't bring it. He
brought the Bible, so he brought up rather read the
Bible than do homework.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
It's like the no book.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Now that being said, I've never read the New Testament.
I only read the Old Testament. You're an ot guy.
I'm an oh guy Jewish man. Yes, I read out
of the Torah. My wife was Joha's witness for twenty
five years. She would do four Bible studies a week
from from when she could read until she was twenty five.
She has told me there's a lot of fun stories

(37:54):
in there and likes it. So maybe he's, you know,
into the excitement of the Bible funds. She tells me
there's a lot of stories in there.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
I mean, there's a lot of books out there that
have fun stories. He could have chose from.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Maybe Stephen king Nol.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
Reads, it's like comic strips. That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
That's much fun.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
It's like a big fiic book, but it's written almost
like it's a big comic.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I don't know what they so they do this. So
my wife's mother is is really deep in jost witness
and they do this now for kids. They make like no, no,
the Bible is comic strips high school book is okay,
but they do this, they do have like bibles like that,
oh for kids.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
And so I'm really confused by this Bible. I'm a
little bit upset, first of all that he didn't I'm
not I'm upset that he didn't bring a summer reading book.
First of all, I'm confused by the Bible. But there's
kids arriving in the summer camp. Well, there's kids riving
summer camp, and so I can't fully have a conversation
about the Bible.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
To be clear, Yeah, you guys aren't like churchgoers.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Right, No, we're not churchgoers at all. We go I
Catholic as well, I grew up Catholic. We go once
in a while to a Christmas Like it's been a
couple of years since we did, like a Christmas Mass
or an Eastern Mass. So no, we're not practicing.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
And she's there all the time.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Right, he doesn't go, So I can't have the Bible
talk at this moment. So I he goes away to camp,
fine and dandy, I pick him up and that's when
we get into Bible talk. Wow, that's when I start
asking more questions about the Bible. He said to me,
he's been reading it every night before he goes to bed,

(39:33):
and I am blown away. But I'm so confused.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
But does he know what he's reading? Though I heard
it's it's it's hard to read.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Right, Yeah, it's like Shakespeare, like you don't understand that.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
It depends how it's written, depends what kind of Bible
it is. There's like versions of the Bible that make
it more.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
I need the comic strip version.

Speaker 6 (39:51):
This Bible looks like a old school I mean, that's
the Holy Bible, you know.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
And so we're in this talk and that's when he
starts telling me that he prays all the time and
he praise before bed and I'm unaware of that.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
That's when also I found out that in his drawer
was an old rosary that I used to have, a
Catholic rosary that I used to and like he had
his stick, like he likes the cross and stuff like that.
That's when he asked me if he could have a
cross necklace that he wanted me to get him across neck.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
Why doesn't he ask if he can go to church?

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Right?

Speaker 4 (40:26):
That's when the last question was can we start going
to church.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
Oh, where is this coming from?

Speaker 4 (40:33):
I have no clue at all, because, like I said,
I'm not religious. My family is not like very religious anymore.
We still, you know, but I have no clue where
this is coming from.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
And he doesn't really praying for the screaming and yelling
to stop at home, and so he's looking for any answer.

Speaker 6 (40:51):
Really to landscape that front yard.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
Guy, what the hell good? Please, Lord in heaven, please
have my mom stop buying random stuff online like this
swimming pool she just bought.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Please please focus boar on a college fund. Yeah, I
definitely think it's not bad. It's not bad, obviously, but
it's it's odd.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
It's concerning to me because you guys have no religious
background like that. That makes me. Well, he's clearly searching
for answers for something, or he is thinking it's cool
for which that's weird to me, Like if you if
you don't, if you're doing it for just I don't know.

(41:41):
I don't want to say clout, but just like, well,
I've seen a TikTok and my friends like being in
Bible study. Now I gotta be that's not good.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Well, a lot of a lot of like we watched
The Bachelor or Love Island. A lot of these like
hot young kids have like hot young kids. When you
go to their Instagram, they have like a Bible first
and then they're on TV John Jackson. So I think
it's I think people think they're cool if they are
know the Bible, which is weird like sky in high school.

Speaker 6 (42:12):
Yeah, we talk about that because the hot guy's going
to Bible study.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
So is read.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
The hot guy going to Bible study read might be.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
But I haven't really like gotten too deep into where
this came from. But my idea is that it did
come from seeing guys on YouTube. A lot of them
are religious. Uh, the militarian religious stuff might be a thing.
I'm not sure. But bottom lines, I told him I'm
not really probably going to take you to church.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
What wait, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Did you say church? Say you can go?

Speaker 4 (42:42):
But you can go. You're more than welcome to go. Okay,
the church a couple of blocks from our house.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Yeah, you walk over there down the street.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
Maybe he doesn't.

Speaker 4 (42:50):
I don't church. I don't want to go to church.
So this is a wild development in my house.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
It really is.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
What if him and your man Roberts start going to
church together. Will you go?

Speaker 3 (42:59):
No, disgusted, Jimy disgusted?

Speaker 4 (43:03):
It's crazy, okay.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
All right? Well, huh, pray for the kid, pray for them.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
Yeah, wow, this is insane.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
It is pretty well. I'm a little uncomforted, as you
should be. Love that we had ourselves a little double
header yesterday with the Padres and Phillies. We're gonna see
what went down in both games next in sports skirt. Wow, yeah,
such a nice day yesterday. Why not played two? Let's
play to The Padres had a double header yesterday to

(43:32):
make up for the rain out on Tuesday against the Phillies.
Game one went pretty good. It went very well, as
Nick Pavetta got his ninth win of the season, just
giving up one run in the Padres six to four win. Now,
the big blow on offense was Manny Machado's bases clearing
double in the second. They actually had a six to

(43:55):
nothing lead almost kind of blew it as the Phillies
scored four nswered unanswered runs, including getting a little dicey
in the ninth ones again when Robert Sworez but got
out of it and got the win. So there you go.
Here we go to Game two, didn't go as well,
as the Padres fell to the Phillies five to one.
Christopher Sanchez was dominant, giving up just the one run

(44:18):
over seven innings, and again the bats looked pretty dead again.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
So hot and cold. It was frustrating.

Speaker 3 (44:26):
Really, it really is, Emily. But you know, coming back home,
so hopefully they can, you know, turn things around and
fill up some ws. We'll see what happens. They did
announce the All Star starters yesterday, and our very own
Manny Machado got the nod as the starter at third base.
So congrats to Manny. He's gonna be the starter in

(44:47):
the All Star Game. That is fantastic. The Dodgers Clayton
Kershaw reached a major milestone last night as he became
just the twentieth pitcher ever to reach three thousand strikeouts,
and he's just the fourth lefty to ever do that.
The game was a bit marred though, as the Dodger
third baseman Max Muncie was injured when the player slid

(45:10):
into his legs at third. He had to be helped
off the field and an apparent knee injury. It's not
looking good. Oh, not looking good for Max. Yeah, that
would be a pretty big blow for a.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Third base after that, and then they do have a
loaded roster.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
I mean, I'm I'm sure they have Mike Schmidt. You
know some amazing players that they'll bring out. I don't. Yeah,
it's not great. The Lakers have signed a free agent.
They signed DeAndre Ayton to a two year deal. Now
he became a free agent after that. He was bought
out by Portland this week. So he joins Luca and
Lebron as their new big three. So we'll see if

(45:45):
the Lakers are going to be able to challenge in
the West. Sports Sturt is brought to you by Bill
how Plumbing, Heating and air Restoration and flood Visit Bill
Howe dot com. To day. We all have little pet
names for our spouses, right, everybody does. Most people do.
We're gonna see what our pet names in our relationships
says about our relationships. When we get back on the

(46:06):
show and rock with a five three sound God on
the show, it's Rock one five three. Uh So, I
think everybody, once you're in a relationship, you start to
call each other by little pet names, and they could
be the standard ones or you could be like Thorn,
his wife who talking these weird baby talk voices, and

(46:30):
what do you what do you call haley honeys?

Speaker 1 (46:34):
I do call babies with plural. I do say sweetheart
a lot. Now, oh you're a sweetheart. Guys that.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
Don't you have some sort of version of honey to
like honey pots or honey pots. Wait what but your
main one is babies? Babies or or.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Like like after every we're texting each other's sporting and
she's at work early, and I'll tell her I have
a good days or I love you, love you?

Speaker 3 (47:11):
What?

Speaker 2 (47:12):
Okay? We'll always add ass.

Speaker 3 (47:14):
Why why do you do that?

Speaker 1 (47:16):
I don't know. Then we don't do that. One of
them will go are you mad?

Speaker 7 (47:19):
No?

Speaker 4 (47:20):
Oh no, and.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
I'm like, no, I'm fine, And now she goes, are
you sure you see I'm mad? I go, I'm fine,
and then she does.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
All right, mixture. We me and my wife are babe.
We're a big babe people. There's no babies. Yeah, there
doing babe. It's up babe. But yeah, we're mainly babe. Yea,

(47:50):
as far as pet name goes, what about you, Emily, We're.

Speaker 4 (47:52):
A babe and a baby's like idiot over here? Well
those are there's lots of the idiots or you know, effort, Oh.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
My being nice.

Speaker 4 (48:02):
We're being nice, but I mean a lot of the
time though. I mean, but this isn't like a little
I guess we're talking about nicknames. But we call each
other like Barnzy and he calls me Griffies a lot.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
So you add too, and you're Barnz's Griffies. The difference between. Yeah,
but it's just two words, not everything we say. But
you're still doing it, babies.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
I guess you're right, Hess.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
Sky God name for the boo the moo is the.

Speaker 6 (48:39):
Boo, as we all know, Uh started out as bunny
boo has now just been the boo for decades.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
And he used to I haven't heard it as much lately.
He used to call me beauty. Don't laugh at that.
You don't have to laugh at that.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
But that's not a pet name, is.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
Weird?

Speaker 6 (49:02):
I mean, hey, baby, I mean beauty, beauty.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
I feel like he's just angling for sex.

Speaker 6 (49:08):
No, well, I think that's his whole life, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (49:11):
Everything doesn't call you beauty anymore. I have never heard
beauty is a pet name. Yeah, I heard all the
other ones.

Speaker 6 (49:17):
Yeah, yeah, I really enjoyed. It doesn't happen that much anymore.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (49:23):
The other day he opened the car door for our
daughter and she looks up. She goes, why don't you
ever open the car door for mom?

Speaker 2 (49:29):
And he goes, I.

Speaker 6 (49:30):
Used to, and she's like, why not anymore? He goes,
I don't know what does for his daughter?

Speaker 3 (49:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (49:35):
I think because they were on the same side of
the car, you know, and he was just trying to
be nice.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
Arms.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
Yeah, But what I would say if if my kids says,
watching up with the color from mom, because it's twenty
twenty five, that's why.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
Yeah, she got arms.

Speaker 6 (49:46):
But then it kind of made me think, oh yeah,
no more doors being opened, no more beauty.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
Does he open the door for you when you go
to like a restaurant and stuff?

Speaker 2 (49:56):
We'd have to leave the house, which doesn't happen much.

Speaker 6 (49:59):
But yes, he he has had talks to me of like,
can you not beat me to the door so you
know I need to open the door?

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Type of bab.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Yeah, what do you call him? I know, but I
mean you don't have like a I.

Speaker 6 (50:16):
Think our default is babe, Like you know what I mean?
You know, booze kind of like, oh, we're having fun,
everybody's feeling good.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
But if I'm just like screaming at him about something.

Speaker 6 (50:24):
That, yeah, babe, babe, did you buy more?

Speaker 2 (50:28):
You know whatever.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
So yeah, well they looked into these pet names that
people have for each other and they figured out, well,
the different pet names you have says stuff about your relationship.

Speaker 6 (50:40):
Yeah, and they start off with babe because they say
that is a super common one. Cansy no, and they
say babe is basically like mid when it comes to
pet names.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
You're kind of fold.

Speaker 5 (50:58):
Babe, yeah, very aggressive, deep toe.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (51:04):
They say, yeah, you're committed to one another, you love
one another, but it's just kind of basic.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
It's casual.

Speaker 6 (51:10):
It's nothing special or meaningful, and yeah, sorry, sorry about that.

Speaker 2 (51:18):
Next they say my love. I guess that is a common.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
We will sign cards love really yes, huh, don't call
each other that?

Speaker 4 (51:29):
Yeah in writing?

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Okay, that's interesting.

Speaker 6 (51:35):
They say this shows that you're very eloquent, you're romantic,
a poet, you have deep, romantic and soulful feelings towards
each other, and you're planning on a long lasting relationship.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
There it is.

Speaker 6 (51:52):
If you are doing royalty Princess prince, queen, king.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
We've all heard this.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
I like a happy birthday post for somebody, they go,
happy birthday to my king.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
I saw.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
I saw Crystalia the comic have a really funny quote
about this because he's like, everybody wants to be called
king nowadays, get throwing in a march in the No
King's March. I thought that was really funny because it's
so true. It really got me. I really got me, Like,
that is so true kings.

Speaker 6 (52:26):
Yeah, they say, this is very nice, but this may
kind of signal an unequal power shift in the relationship.
But also if their person is not embarrassed to call
you their queen publicly, they really like you, I mean
really into you. They cover boo really not bunny Boo Boo.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
It still came like a big deal, a big thing
ten years ago, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
They say.

Speaker 6 (52:56):
In the hip hop community, they say, if Boo or
Shorty is shady and I don't know, I don't know,
they say, if those are your pet names, no one
is expecting this to last long term. Sorry, honey, darling dear.

(53:22):
Very traditional, very old school. You're kind of just doing
what you people do well. They're just kind of saying,
like it's traditional. It's nice, but there's nothing special between
the two that's different.

Speaker 4 (53:35):
I think darling is very, very sweet. It's old school.
But that's what my stepdad calls my mom all the time,
and I think he says my darling a lot, and
I think it's very That.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
To me is like, hey, everybody, we're in love.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Darling.

Speaker 6 (53:54):
What they say the cutes pets names, the sugar bunny,
there we go, the pumpkins. They say, you're probably a
bit younger, immature.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
I am younger.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
I'm very mature.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
Your relationship is filled with extremes high high. And finally,
if you have no.

Speaker 6 (54:21):
Pet name, they say, if you are at the beginning
of a relationship, that is fine, that is normal. That
actually shows you're waiting for something to feel right.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
They say, if you're.

Speaker 6 (54:33):
Deep in a relationship and there's no pet names, then
you got problems.

Speaker 3 (54:37):
You just call you your first name. I'm in trouble
if they call me that's not great?

Speaker 4 (54:43):
Serious?

Speaker 3 (54:43):
How wild? All right, it is Thursday today, so we're
gonna play throw back trivia coming up next on the show.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
I wouldn't have got it that I thought it was
Billy Madison if you act like that, if you act
like that, it's sort of they gave away.

Speaker 4 (58:44):
You don't think alligators course and say that you do

Speaker 1 (58:50):
I swear I did. For a second when I was
doing my shimmy, I thought it was Billy Madison when
he started towards the end. Well, then you did the
softball and.

Speaker 2 (59:00):

Oh gosh, Kathy's shoes, the fashionable foot, Gary's shoes, foot
locker or shoe depot.

Speaker 2 (59:51):

Speaker 4 (59:53):
I think it is shoe depot.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
Emily says shoe depot, and that is incorrect. B Gary.

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Gary then throws al off, and then Bud sleeps with Gary.
It's the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
What you know, waite, Gary was a woman.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Gary was a woman. I was stunned. I was stunned.
And then Bud sleeps with her.

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Okay, quality show.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
One or two or two? Yeah, I just never got

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
I don't know why I said that, Honey Horney was
Live Schreiber.

Speaker 4 (01:01:28):

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):

Maybe I don't know what you were thinking either.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):

We have an audio clip for you. This is a
song from the two thousands, So you got to give
me the either the artist or the song title from
the two thousands. All right, Emily, what is that? You

that two thousands artist or song?

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
I'm not crazy, I'm I think that's Matchbox twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Is that what you're going with?

Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
What that face?

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
You are correct?

Speaker 4 (01:02:34):

Speaker 1 (01:02:42):

hot game going on. Now, guys, we got a hot game.
Over to you, Thor, your questions from the two thousands? Thor,
which Kate Hudson movie came out first? Was it Kate

(01:03:12):
Fool's gold Oh classic? Almost Famous? How to Lose a
Guy in Ten Days? Bride Wars? Or Raising Helen.

Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
I think it's almost famous. I think that was like
her big first movie, almost famous.

Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Thor says, almost famous.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
Come on, Eddie, and he is correct, Yes, almost famous
came out and to him one of my dad's favorites.

Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
Well that's wild.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
What's interesting. That makes sense.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
Dad likes he loves that movie, and he loves Six
Days and Seven Nights with Anne.

Speaker 6 (01:03:43):
Haysh oh oh, look at that full circle.

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Really did wow? Okay, okay, over to you, Emily. Your
questions from the nineties. Emily in the movie my cousin Vinnie,
come on, who plays Vinnie's cousin who he asked a
rep present in.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
Court, Marisa Toome. I think I know that she's in it.
I'm gonna say, Marisa Toome.

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Oh, that is incorrect, plays his girlfriend. His cousin is
Ralph Machio. Wow, that one hurt. That one hurts.

Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
I've only seen it once, a long one. That's a
great movie.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
Effective.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
I'm pretty shocked, pretty shocked.

Speaker 1 (01:04:33):
Classic.

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
All right, thor you get this next question correct, You've
won the game. If not, Emily has a chance to
tie it. This is a movie description from the eighties.
I'm going to describe an eighties movie. You gotta tell
me what eighties movie I'm describing. After dying in a
car accident, a couple find themselves stuck in their old
house when an annoying new family moves in. They try

(01:04:57):
to scare them to leave and call and help of
a wild spirit that backfires. Or what eighties movie am
I describing?

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
Man, ah, isn't this that Tom Hanks movie where the
house is a nightmare?

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
What the heck is it called? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
I'm gonna say The Burbs, that's what you are describing,
But that's not what I was describing its incorrectly. Thank you.

Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
She almost went softball.

Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
I never seen it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Didn't want you to do that because I didn't want
you to give it away. Beetlejuice, man, you live a
sad life. He no Wayne's World, No Beetlejuice.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
What Beetlejuice was?

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Oh my god? All right, Emily, if you get this
next question right, we're gonna go to a tiebreaker. If not,
you can't do that. You can't do You're fine. You're fine.
Although your question is is from the eighties, Emily, I
hope you watched TGI Friday, because your question is, what

(01:06:10):
was the show Just the Ten of Us? A spinoff of.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Just the Ten of Us? Oh? My god, I know that.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
Indeed, she's so.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Dramatic it's insane.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
Can you she's trying to think just the ten of Us? Gods?

Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
Ridiculous?

Speaker 4 (01:06:31):
Was that a spin off of Perfect Strangers? I don't
know why I'm thinking that, my two dads. Dear.

Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
Oh, she's just throw a blanket down, stranger blanket.

Speaker 4 (01:06:48):
I like to be cozy, right, do you have an answer?
Perfect Strangers?

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Emily says Perfect Strangers. If she's right, the game goes
to a tie breaking round if not Thor's one. Emily,
you are incorrect. That was a spin off of Growing Pains,
thinking that you never said no, oh no, congratulations Tho

(01:07:14):
Aliva on Throwback Thursday, it's the show schwalking O five.
Three guys got bad news in the McDonald's world. Oh
what happened to your headphones? Bell?

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
It broke? It sucks. I literally just got these headphones
and they snapped, like completely broken, completely broke.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
I don't know. I don't think that plastic piece.

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
That's hilarious, broke off. Jamie' juffrey.

Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
Would you wear those?

Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
Though?

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
I can't. I can't.

Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
You're just gonna wear broken headphones because you can't wear.

Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
There we go.

Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
I think I just need a duct table. Okay, clicked,
We're good.

Speaker 3 (01:07:57):
Click boom, all right. Yeah, big news from McDonald's, you guys. Yeah,
this is huge. We have a new menu item, but
it's not really new. It's more of a different version
of a popular favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:08:13):
McDonald's announced for a limited time starting on Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Then it's a hit. We'll see yep.

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
Yeah, that is true.

Speaker 6 (01:08:21):
Edie. You know how it goes. Sometimes if a limited
time item is soapo to the menu, but they have
announced that starting on Tuesday, there will be three different
versions available of a spicy McMuffin, spicy mcmuff a spicy
egg McMuffin, a spicy sausage McMuffin, as well as a

(01:08:46):
spicy sausage McMuffin with egg.

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
Oh no, not for me?

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
What do you mean? Not for you?

Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
I don't want my eggs spicy.

Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
Didn't you put a hot sauce on your eggs?

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Occasionally I'll put chululla, but it's more for the flavor hot.
I feel like chilula isn't spicy sauce.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Yeah, but anyway, Uh, this is gonna be hugely I
mean I approved it basically.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Every time. Every time.

Speaker 4 (01:09:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:09:21):
So what they're basically doing to these already existing menu
items is adding their new spicy pepper sauce to each item. Now,
this is the same sauce that comes on their spicy
mac crispy sandwich. So if you've had that and you
like that heat, that flavor, clearly probably too much heat

(01:09:41):
for thoor.

Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
That's what I thought you were gonna say. The third
one was gonna be. I thought that was gonna be
like a spicy chicken McMuffin.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
For like breakfast.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
That's why they do a Chick fil a. Oh that
would have been delicious, little honey.

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
But why is that okay? And not okay for the
other stuff?

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Because I don't like my egg to be spicy. You
just want the meat to be spicy. Yeah, well spicy sausage,
spicy spicy. I disagree.

Speaker 3 (01:10:06):
I don't want What is he talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
You just said you put shilula on eggs unscrambled.

Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
Okay, this isn't scrambled. It's like that. It's that like
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
Yeah, yeah, I know how it's made. I made him.

Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
You made him over thirty years ago.

Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Made the same way. Wow, Okay, and change the recipe pal.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
I guess I'd have to try it. I'd have to
try it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
You like make you could make it?

Speaker 3 (01:10:32):
Really, yeah, I could? You deserve it? I don't deserve it.
I don't deserve it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
Well, yes, the egg the egg.

Speaker 6 (01:10:42):
McMuffin is actually turning fifty years old. Yeah no, I
guess the first version of it they tried to do,
like an eggs.

Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
Benedict thing back in the early seventies. Stop it, I
don't know that.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
Hold on dais sauce McDonald's.

Speaker 6 (01:11:06):
They replaced the holidays with cheese and said, okay, we
got something here, and then thorn. When they first served it,
they would serve it on a little tray with honey
or jam, your pick muffin. Yeah, I guess because of
the biscuit they thought it went. But then they realized
made with biscuits and made with English muffin.

Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Then I don't know why I thought that. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:11:29):
So they thought that that would be a good thing,
but people didn't end up using.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Okay, I mean that's like French solid.

Speaker 4 (01:11:37):
That's different.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
It's toast.

Speaker 2 (01:11:39):
A money crystal sandwich is made with French toast bread.

Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
No, it isn't. Sky, who are you arguing with? Are
you talking about like Brioche? Is that what you're referring to?
There is nothing called French toast bread.

Speaker 6 (01:11:53):
They make French toast and then they make a sandwich
out of it and it's a money.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
No, No, they don't. It is deep fried. It is
in like ham and whatever and all that stuff, cheese
and all that stuff, and then they deep batter it
and deep fry it. That's how it's made.

Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
Yeah, you dip the entire sandwich in like a French toast.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
You are so wrong, and you can argue with me
all you want.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
Youse slices of bread dipped in egg batter and pan fried,
thank you very much. So you dip the whole sandwich
in it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
That's what I just said. Why are you what? What
don't you believe the fact that, like how crazy that
you are sandwiches? Which is what I said? She said,
you make French toast and then you make a sandwich
out of it, which is so incorrect.

Speaker 6 (01:12:38):
Well, I apologize the restaurant I used to work.

Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
Version that is wrong. No, it isn't. If it is
a correctly done Monte Cristo, that is not how it's made.

Speaker 1 (01:12:52):
Okay, wow, wow, dip the whole sandwich, the whole.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
Sand I love so.

Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
I liked montey Crystals.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
I literally just had one on vacation.

Speaker 4 (01:13:04):
Really.

Speaker 3 (01:13:04):
Yes, they dipped the whole the whole. They didn't make
French toast and then make a sandwich out of it.
They didn't do that, which is that wouldn't be a
money Crystal, No, it isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Stand by this, Wow, Crystal Hill.

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Get Richard the phone immediately for the record, I.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Hate money crystals. I don't even know why I care.

Speaker 6 (01:13:24):
But anyway, so they served it that way and they're
now trying to be spicy McMuffin. They also have some
other announcements Toalds.

Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
You guys we're talking about.

Speaker 6 (01:13:35):
You will also see for a limited time the blueberry
and cream.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
Pie and Edie, would you like it?

Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
Really, this is what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
Daddy Lakey.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Yeah, I love blueberry pie, jerry pie, raspberry pie and
pies and then our pie. But I'll take blueberry raspberry
cherry before apple. Wow, cherry cherry is my favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
I know, Eddie.

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
They have announced a new mcflurry.

Speaker 6 (01:14:10):
It is Hershey Moore mcflurry Eddie, I'll be picking this up.

Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
What do you think? Give them the idea?

Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
The only problem is whenever you go there to order it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:21):
No on the whole sandwich.

Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
You can't dip the whole sandwich. You're frying the cheese.

Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
It's how it's made, that's not what.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
How it's made. I'm gonna do some research in the.

Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
Commercial, please do I please do so.

Speaker 3 (01:14:41):
He's doing me wrong for the way I google's He's
telling the whole culinary world they do it wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Thank you stupid.

Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
We've all been to Chucky Cheese before, right, maybe when
you were a kid, or maybe you took your kid there. Well,
I guess there's some big changes. What's coming to Chucky Cheese.
We're gonna tell you what they are coming up next
on the show I'll rock with a five three swinger
on Throwback Thursday. It's the show. It's Rock one five three.

(01:15:12):
So everybody's been to Chuck e Cheese.

Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
Right, Yeah, Chuck e Cheese.

Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
I was a kid, okay, but just making sure because
I say things like that in there was no Chuck Cheese.
My parents never take me Chunk Chee. Chuck Chee.

Speaker 1 (01:15:26):
I didn't appreciate that, but I did. There was a place,
a Nathan's Hot Dog Place on Long Island that was
very similar to Chuck E Cheese. It was hot dogs
and pizza, I think hot terrible and they had arcade
games and stuff and I'd go there.

Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
They have a band, but we get get the hell
out of here.

Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
That's where we go. Instead.

Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
They have a birthday party room probably I had. I
had a couple of birthday parties there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
That's arcade.

Speaker 3 (01:15:55):
The beats Chucky Cheese Man Nathan's It didn't. It didn't.
It sounds terrible. Definitely made our grand return to Chuck
E Cheese for Sky's daughter's birthday one year, and Sky
and I we owned the joint man. Yeah, took over.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Playing the game. She was in kindergarten. Can you not?

Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
Can you not?

Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
It wasn't last year.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
You wouldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
You guys watched Blueye.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Excuse me, that was a few years ago.

Speaker 6 (01:16:22):
But yeah, okay, it's not tokens anymore, it's cards now.

Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
You know you would know.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
I would know.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
I would know.

Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
I got a big affinity for Chucky Cheese. Probably you
guys heard you guys know that I participated in raffles
and lotteries.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
And all this stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:16:46):
The biggest price, the biggest prize I've ever won was
from Chuck E Cheese. When I was a kid. They
had this like raffle where there was a massive stalking.
It was like five feet tall and it was packed
with toys and they had one to give away at
like every Chuck E Cheese around the country.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
And my family won it, and I.

Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Reader, your family won it, Well, who won it?

Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
I won it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
I don't know my parents entered us.

Speaker 6 (01:17:13):
So they basically came home and surprised us with it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
And were you there? What do you mean when the
raffle you didn't have to be present.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
No, it was like you entered all December long.

Speaker 6 (01:17:26):
And then they ended up calling the one winner and
so my mom went and picked it up and me
and my brother freaked out.

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
And I'm like, Chuck E Cheese is amazing. They're the
best company ever, like.

Speaker 3 (01:17:37):
That mouse, that's company. The mouse gave.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Me that stalking of toys. Yeah, like out of all
the lotteries.

Speaker 6 (01:17:44):
And raffles, I've participated in the biggest prize ever won.

Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
Yeah, the band really was what brought her home.

Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Yeah, I don't love it gets sad when they're going
to go to a break, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Yeah, and they closed their eyes and yeah, we'll play
a game.

Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
I know Ben's break. They were they were bringing bringing.

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
That live music, started.

Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
Music. Well, Chuck E Cheese is making some big changes
and their changes, Emily, you may really like what Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:18:21):
Well, so Chuck E Cheeses have been kind of struggling
for a while, and you know, they announced some getting
rid of the band.

Speaker 3 (01:18:29):
That's devastating and shutting.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Down to.

Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
When you guys go there.

Speaker 6 (01:18:40):
So when they made this big announcement, who was the
most upset about it?

Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
Adults?

Speaker 6 (01:18:46):
People in our generation. But chuck E Cheese isn't meant
for our generation. It's meant for kids. So somebody behind
the scenes said, well, what if we make a Chucky
Cheese for adults because they're the ones who care about
this about that is true, but Chucky Cheese doesn't make

(01:19:07):
any money on that, so they want to do their own.
So they just announced a spin off chain specifically for adults,
and it's gonna be called Chuck's Arcade.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
Ten of them will open this week.

Speaker 6 (01:19:25):
Most of them will be located in malls across America.

Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
They'll be kind of failing.

Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
They should put them in failing Chucky.

Speaker 8 (01:19:32):
Jesus right, Yeah, I feel like Chuck's like the Chucky
Cheese guys like Cousin or something that like is a
hardcore boozer like Chucks arecase smokes STIGs.

Speaker 6 (01:19:51):
Yeah, So most of them will have food and alcohol.
There's a couple of locations that will just be games,
but most of them will have.

Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
Alcohol.

Speaker 6 (01:20:00):
Now, they'll have the classic games you know and love,
the classic arcade games, but they'll also have newer games
like Halo and stuff like that, so they're really trying
to do the adult angle.

Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
They will have one member.

Speaker 6 (01:20:14):
Of the band at each location for photo opportunities.

Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Are playing acoustic set, what off.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Acoustic set.

Speaker 6 (01:20:26):
Sick So you could get Helen, Henny the Chicken, Mister Munch,
the Purple Monster, jasper Te Jowls, the Doge, or Pascuelli
the Italian chef you remember him on on drums, or
you could get Chuck Chuck.

Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Yeah, so running the joint, this is a little busy
for photo ops.

Speaker 4 (01:20:47):
Yeah, they can't give you a Chuck at every location.

Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
What do you want, Chuck? Everyone?

Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:20:52):
I think I want like, hell yeah, don't you would me.
So we'll see if this will be successful or not.

Speaker 6 (01:20:59):
But they feel like adults are actually the ones who
have love for this brand, so they're seeing if they'll
show up at Chuck's arcades.

Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
It's pretty smart. Yeah, I mean obviously with the success
of David Busters. You know, you got those quintop things
and places around, and so it's kind of smart adult arcades.
We like that, uh huh. You know, as long as
you gotta serve alcohol otherwise, I'm got it. Point. Brad
Pitt is back, he's got a hit movie out. I mean,
he's all over the place. The thing about Brad is,

(01:21:29):
I mean he's an older dude now, but he still
looks great. And he's always been a sex symbol. But
we're gonna go over celebrities who have become sex symbols
later in life. When we get back on the show
and Rock five to three, nerve on a on the show.
It's Rock one O five three. I know, I know
everybody's very excited calling in already. They want to win

(01:21:52):
tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood. I don't blame you. I
just got back from Universal Studios. It's the best man.
It's a blast. So if you want to win a
four pack of tickets to Universal Studios tickets, call right
now eight seven seven five seven oh one oh five
to three and we will hook you up with the
four pack of tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood. Come celebrate
your favorite blockbusters at the all new Universal Mega Movie Summer.

(01:22:16):
It's going to be amazing, So definitely come check it
out and call right now and win those tickets. Thor
is kind of surprising me a little bit. He's talking
about want to go to the movies again. Now, I
don't know if you remember. This was a few weeks
ago he went to the movies and then did a
whole rant about how he hates going to the movies
on his MIDWEK Miltown. Yeah. So he was talking about

(01:22:37):
either today or tomorrow or tomorrow or the next day
going to see that new Brad Pitt movie F one.
And I'm like, wait, you hate going to the movies,
So what.

Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Happens certain movies I want to see in the theater.
You'll look past I'll look past the horror that is.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
Going in the movies now.

Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
And certain movies are like F one, They like he
really drove these F one cars. They put cameras on them,
and I feel like that would be cool and sound
cool in the movies.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Uh. And and also I want to support my guy.
Who's your guy, Brad Pitt? But Brad is your guy?

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
I love Brad Pitt?

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Can you oh happy? You know today's tom Cruise.

Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
Bird sixty three.

Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
That's creepy.

Speaker 1 (01:23:21):
I watched I watched your calibation from like ten years
ago or so or twelve years ago. He's aged a
lot in twelve years. Well, I know, but like a
lot though. It's crazy though Brad doesn't. Brad doesn't doesn't age.
Brad's eight. He's he looks older, but he looks more
rugged now like better looking. I would say, so you
like I do.

Speaker 3 (01:23:41):
Like, Remind me, did did Brad make your list?

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
I remember much how quick Brad mid number seven? He
really fell.

Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
He was a one or two for most years, A
year and year out Brad's top three. Remember if Brad's alive,
he will be on your Lovely Lads. Yeah, number seven.
But f one is the biggest movie of the year
so far. Uh well, no, not even close.

Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
Talking about that's not even close.

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
I mean it was the double.

Speaker 6 (01:24:11):
One movie of the weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
The money, it has potential to maybe get there.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
It's not like a week the biggest opening though, I thought,
And don't think that's true either, you know, just making.

Speaker 1 (01:24:23):
Still obviously I swear I.

Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
Stub reading headlines. Don't make any This guy loves Brad
pitt Man wowed in their palf Heed. They make like
thirty five million.

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
Fion myself about take that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:38):
It's not that's not even close to I mean, what
are you.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Talking about fifty five million in North America. I swear
I saw that nowhere, nowhere, now there was no one
in Greece. Listen, it's going to be a hit. I'll
give you that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
It's good for Brad and uh, you know, Brad's in
his sixties. Guy looks phenomenal. But Brad's always looks phenomenal.
Can we be honest? Can we be honest?

Speaker 1 (01:25:06):
Uh? Do you you know you were mentioning Brad? You
have had Pitt's biggest opening. Sorry, that's not that impressive.
Massive star, I know, but that's not that impressive of
a status. So on your little guy list there, Uh,
you have older guys or younger guys?

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
Who do you prefer? I think the oldest?

Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Okay, I think Brad's the oldest, So you prefer young? No,
that's not true. I prefer he.

Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
Just gave me a whole Timothy, shame.

Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
The list is not just about looks. Did Timmy make
your list he's got No, he does not. He's a
huge star, he's got long his status is bigger than Brad's. Well,
that's an asonine thing to say. I mean, have I
never said?

Speaker 3 (01:25:53):
Have I said anything? Crazy?

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Timothy? He's getting there, Come on, you gotta give me
a bigger hit. Dune sucks. I'm sorry it was Dune sucks.
You're out of your mind. Dune first of all, massive hit,
and he was nominating. He was nominated for Things for
One Oscar and Wonka was a massive hit. He was
nominated for that Bob Dylan movie. I don't understand what

(01:26:19):
you're talking about there. I'm fighting for tim to get
in on this list.

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
Scrawn for you, he's very scrawny.

Speaker 3 (01:26:27):
You're like hunkier guy.

Speaker 1 (01:26:30):
I just think that I don't know, I don't I
don't really confused. I don't know if he's there. He's
that like almost he's about to break through. He's about to.

Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
Be you're out of your mind. I mean looking at
he was dating. I mean, he's everything.

Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
He's hot right now. You got to break through though,
break through. You had Austin Butler on your list, which
is why I did. I did, but I thought I
felt like he broke through.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
You don't think Timothy Channel is beer. Timothy Timothy. He's
bigger name than Austin Butler.

Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
Right, remember this list. When I made this list, he
wasn't though. When I made this list, he.

Speaker 6 (01:26:59):
Wasn't Wow, was out guy standing by his list question.

Speaker 3 (01:27:05):
I respect that he fights for his guys.

Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
I'm not a wank of fan to do with anything
to me that between that movie doesn't do anything for me.

Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
But but these are young guys who cares about them. Okay,
we apparently have the rankings of celebrities who became sex
symbols later.

Speaker 6 (01:27:29):
Late bloomers, Yes, late bloomers, and they put him in
order and uh making the list. But at the bottom
of the list we have Steve corral now Steve Morrell.

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
You know, I could see that Michael Scott from the office.

Speaker 6 (01:27:43):
Emily knows why because she has seen what the internet
is talking about with Steve Corrall.

Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
I just watched the new series on Netflix called Four Seasons?
Is that what you're talking And there's a bunch of
scenes where he's like shirtless because he's getting a younger
chick in the show exactly, and he is buff. He's
like ripped cor Yeah, hot, and I never thought he
was hot before.

Speaker 3 (01:28:01):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (01:28:02):
And that's exactly why he has made this list. He
recently did an interview with Entertainment Tonight where they mentioned him.
Did you know you're now a sex symbol, and he
was like, well, I didn't expect that to come, but yeah,
the internet is in love with him. Shirtless in four Seasons.

Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
Uh yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:28:19):
Next star to become a sex symbol later in life
is Walter Goggins fifty.

Speaker 4 (01:28:26):
I don't understand this.

Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
He's so weird looking.

Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
Too. With the teeth.

Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, you know the chick with the teeth.

Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
Yeah, the Saturay Night Live.

Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
I have no idea who you're talking about, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:28:41):
Yeah, Saturday Night Live mocked her for her tea got sad.
And then yeah, well, I guess in White Lotus his
character is very like brooding, you know, and I guess
chicks really like that. Yes, and so he even with
looking kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Now a second.

Speaker 4 (01:29:00):
Symbols teether weird.

Speaker 6 (01:29:01):
Next Stanley Tucci, who knew okay, guys.

Speaker 9 (01:29:05):
Been I was thinking it since the list. Yeah, the man,
But then during my sister loves Stanley Man.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
Yeah, she's read all his books, that he has watches
that show that he is in Italy or something like that.

Speaker 6 (01:29:23):
So I guess during COVID he started making cocktails at
home and posting videos on his social media, to the
point where CNN gave him a food and travel show,
and now everybody just thinks he's endearing.

Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
He's yep.

Speaker 6 (01:29:37):
Next, our first celet female celebrity to make the list.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Oh, here we go, Cole Kidman.

Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
Wait a minute, Yeah, Kim has kind of gone the
opposite way. Well, she's so weird looking now.

Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
To ask, it's based on her current.

Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Roles with all young guys now exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:29:58):
Crazy and dudes are f finding that hot, the fact
that she's cooking up with young dudes who she shouldn't
be hooking up with, whether it's you know, big little lies,
the perfect couple, baby girl. But yes, guys, girl, yeah,
you guys are loving that, like wow, yeah, I've seen you.

Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
Yep. Next we have.

Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
Christopher Maloney.

Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
Now, oh that's the guy from crime now sorry yeah,
And if you're if you're wondering, not a great.

Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
Season, no, no out, Yeah it may be done. The
last four just don't have three of the main characters
in them. What happened and they don't really.

Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Explain it's just gone.

Speaker 6 (01:30:43):
Yeah, well, frust for twelve seasons and then reprised his
role a few years ago, and that's when people are like, dude,
you've been hitting the gym this whole time that you've
been offline.

Speaker 1 (01:30:55):
Or very slow though, like his fight scenes are so
choreographed and they move very slow.

Speaker 6 (01:31:01):
Okay, Uh, Paul Run making the list of guys to
become sex symbols later in life, like when he was
supposed to be, you know, the hot step brother and clueless,
people are like, well that's weird, that's creepy.

Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
I don't get it. But now later later in life.

Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
He was one of sexiest man alive. You know, I
should I not have brought that?

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
You should have brought that up.

Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
Also, Sky, why was it creepy that he was the
hollow theer brother and clueless their.

Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
Stuff and he and he wasn't hot enough on a level?
Justify that.

Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
I'm just being honest.

Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
Sorry, I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (01:31:38):
Okay, we're now top three celebrities who are hot and
old later in life. Pedro Pescal They say he is
the quote in net Daddy.

Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
Number five. Yes, yes, social media.

Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
Four move is going to make a break his career
on my list. Really, if it's not you may fall
completely out or maybe if it's not good a f
aught wow.

Speaker 6 (01:32:00):
Okay, Stunny number two Idris Elba fan didn't make the
list this here, right.

Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
He didn't number eight every year?

Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
Well he hasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:32:11):
He didn't do anything and he just did this god
awful movie with John Cena were ones of Prime Minister
and John Cena's the President did that makes sense?

Speaker 6 (01:32:22):
But coming in as the number one celebrity to become
a sex symbol later in life. The other female on
the list is Dame Helen Mirren.

Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
Now she's been.

Speaker 6 (01:32:33):
Around forever, but on her sixty third birthday posted pics
in bikini and the internet's all about it. But she's
always been a sex.

Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
You're right, right, I question to you mad about your list.
I'm talking about your top ten gild my gil was
Helen Mirren on it? I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
She didn't make it. Did make it so she can
replace for kel Welch though didn't realize anyway. The Padres
played in the doubleheader yesterday. We're gonna see what went
down in both games next in sports shirt. Well, we
had a doubleheader yesterday. Yeah, the Padres had a doubleheader

(01:33:16):
to make up for that rain out on Tuesday against
the Phillies. Game one pretty good. Yeah, we had a
good game. Yeah. Nick Pavetta got his ninth win of
the season. That guy has been God said, honestly. Ninth
winter year, he j gave of just one run in
the Padres six to four victory. The big blow on
offense was Manny Machado's bases clearing double in the second.

(01:33:39):
Now they had a six to nothing lead, almost blew it,
to be honest with you, as the Phillies scored four
unanswered runs, including getting a little dicey in the ninth.
Once again with Robert Swarez. So with him, Yeah, I
feel like this happens almost every year where he goes
through a little bit of a lull and we we
start to go, oh, do we need a new closer
and figures it out and he's fine, Yeah, you're right.

(01:34:02):
So I'm not. I'm not pulling the trigger on Robert
Suarez by any means yet. I think he's still great.
He's just got to work out whatever's going on.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
He looks freaked out when he goes out there. Lately,
I feel like freaked out.

Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
I don't know that. The second game not as good
for the Padres as they fell to the Phillies five
to one. Back to not being able to hit again
is just not good. Christopher Sanchez was dominant, giving up
just the one run over seven innings. Now, we did
get some good news yesterday as they announced the All
Star starters, and our very own Manny Machado got the

(01:34:38):
nod as the starter at third base. So Manny will
be playing in the All Star Game.

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
Do you think it like extra money or anything?

Speaker 3 (01:34:45):
Some of them due depends on their contract.

Speaker 6 (01:34:46):
Really, Oh, you could build that into your contract if
I make the All starts?

Speaker 1 (01:34:50):
Absolutely tell you what what a bummer about Fano Tatist Junior,
the guy who had major star written all over him,
and he has been not great this year. He started
out red hot and then he just has fallen off.
I mean, but even look at his numbers the last
couple of years. There he goes to faces where he's
really really good, but then for the most part he

(01:35:10):
stays in like this, like we just want him. I
thought he was gonna be better, and I'm just disappointed
right now. Hopefully he turns it on the second half
of the year. Is my favorite, He's my favorite player,
and I think he's gotten two sixty one. He should
just not be a fan of his. I just don't
think he's love Fernando. I love him. I just don't
think he's as good as we thought he was gonna be.

Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
That's all.

Speaker 3 (01:35:28):
I'm just saying, he's my favorite player. I don't know
why that offended you.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
No, it's not, it's not I would think. I'm just
surprised that he's not as good as we thought he
was gonna do. Like he had all star face to
the league written all over him, and he's hasn't it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:41):
Up to that.

Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
That's all. It was surprising.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
I hate him now, Haim. The Dodgers, Clayton Kershaw reached
a major milestone last night as he became just the
twentieth pitcher ever to reach three thousand strikeouts, and he's
just the fourth lefty to do it. The game was marred, though,
as the Dodgers' third basement Max Munsey was taken out.
He was injured when a player slid into his legs

(01:36:07):
at third and he had to be helped off the
field and looks like it is pretty bad. So yeah,
they're gonna not have Max Munsey probably. And I know
you guys have been really concerned. You want an update
on Red Panda. Got it? Got the update Red Panda.
Of course, the halftime performer who rides a unicycle can
balances bowls on her head and flips them around and

(01:36:29):
stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
It's actually a human female.

Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
No, No, she fell. She fell recently in a w
NBA game. It didn't look good. It didn't look good.
I finally found video of that sent to the Thor
and he lo ol like we all thought. We thought, well,
Red Panda does have a broken wrist, but says she'll
be back she is. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:36:54):
They blamed it on the Kaitlin Clark No whoever was
transporting her bike. Yeah, I broke something with a pedal
and that's why.

Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
So the bike was broken, I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
But it's also like.

Speaker 6 (01:37:09):
Emily No, that's that's a Thor level.

Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
Wow, I just accept the blame on the pedal.

Speaker 2 (01:37:20):
Don't blame it on the pedal.

Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
Okay, that looked like at her look at hercles that
high in the sky.

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Yeah, that's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
I'd be more embarrassed about falling and breaking the wrist. Wait,
she got wheel chaired out for a broken risk.

Speaker 9 (01:37:41):
Work.

Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
That is terrible. I'm not gonna up to you guys anymore.
That supports dirt for today. We were talking yesterday about
ice cream and Thor's love for it. Well, we're gonna
see what are the most popular ice cream flavors out there.
Now this is according to what we're ordering, so we'll
see what are the most popular ice cream flavors. Coming

(01:38:04):
up next on the show on Rock one O five three,
My Homie Brett, Michaels and Poison wrapping up Throwback Thursday.
It's the show. It's Rock one O five to three.
Just yesterday we were talking about ice cream and like
the best ice cream shops around the country, and four

(01:38:26):
of them right here in San Diego, which was pretty cool.
Thora really got excited about this topic because he loves
ice cream. You really love ice cream on another level.
So if I had to ask you, what's your favorite
flavor of ice cream, what would you say? I mean,
it depends on what we consider flavor. Oh so, Emily, Emily,
situation here does depend on your mood.

Speaker 1 (01:38:47):
It doesn't depend on my mood because is half baked
a flavor? Ben and Jerry's half baked or is that
just a different kind of like full ice cream doesn't
have to be or does it have to be like
cookies and cream cookie dough like half baked is like
all these different things in one. Because if we're going
favorite ice cream was half baked Ben and Jerry's that's
my favorite. Oh, cookie dough and a lot of stuff,

(01:39:15):
chocolate and vanilla, chalks of chocolate chip, cookie dough and
fudge brownies. It's it's heaven heavens. Yeah, it's heaven. God
made it for me. I also I also love Ben
or Jerry God, I would say both of you, Okay.
I also love the when there's like swirls of caramel

(01:39:37):
and ice cream. What is that ribbon, gold medal, ribbon,
a ribbon? Yeah, but yeah, gone to my head.

Speaker 3 (01:39:52):
I don't care that much.

Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
Keep guns out of it.

Speaker 1 (01:39:54):
Gun to my head. It's going to be it's not
gonna be anything. It's not to be.

Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
Swirls of ribbons going around rains. If it were just
like normal flavors, though not like a specific one like that,
would you pick.

Speaker 1 (01:40:11):
I used to be a cookie dough man, but I
love cookies and cream lately.

Speaker 2 (01:40:17):
I see that.

Speaker 1 (01:40:19):
There you go, but I won't ever get it. I'll
just get Ben and Jerry as helf baked.

Speaker 3 (01:40:23):
But if you were at like a basking Robins, you
can't get Ben and Jerry's.

Speaker 1 (01:40:28):
I get a bunch of stamps, and then I would
go probably cookies and cream. You're not gonna get gold
medal rubbed if they had gold. That's one of your
standard flavors. It is stand I haven't. I can't remember
the last time a br so so I would say
that the gold metal rib Okay, I get the rib.

Speaker 4 (01:40:51):
So weird A.

Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
Well, we know what the most popular flavor is of
ice cream? Yes, this is based on what we are
actually ordering.

Speaker 2 (01:41:01):
Yeah, door dash is letting us know that. Of course,
the fourth of July summertime. Who door dash is ice cream?

Speaker 3 (01:41:08):
Tone?

Speaker 1 (01:41:12):
I don't trust. I don't trust that at all. Why
because it's good? Because I don't like when I get
ice cream from a place and drive it home because
I always think it's gonna melt. I don't trust you
doing that. No way.

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
How do you get it from the store to home?

Speaker 1 (01:41:25):
I go fast sometimes smart, No you don't. Other times
I just drive fast. But I do not trust anyone
with my ice cream.

Speaker 3 (01:41:40):
What do you think they're gonna do?

Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
You just gonna take forever? What if? What if you're
waiting for your ice cream and there's five other stops
in front of you.

Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Then put it in the freezer and melt.

Speaker 1 (01:41:48):
Remelted ice cream. No fence, it's not going to change anything.
It's just it's just not the same as the fresheet
that you get. It's just not okay.

Speaker 2 (01:41:57):
Lots of feelings about that when it comes No, well.

Speaker 6 (01:42:00):
Lots of people do door dash ice cream to the
point where they're letting us know the top ten flavors,
and it's specific. It's like the actual brand flavor because
it's from the Gros.

Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
I guarantee you that'll be one of the top ones
or most most.

Speaker 2 (01:42:15):
Ben and Jerry, I also enjoy a Cherry Garcia. Oh
thank you me too?

Speaker 3 (01:42:19):
Are you a chunky monkey guy?

Speaker 1 (01:42:21):
No? Okay, everything tonight dough is good. I don't like
nuts in my ice cream.

Speaker 4 (01:42:26):
Oh really?

Speaker 2 (01:42:27):
So taking nuts and leave them where where am I
supposed to leave?

Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
That is surprising?

Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Why is that surprising?

Speaker 1 (01:42:36):
Usually?

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
I love not I don't love.

Speaker 1 (01:42:37):
I never loved nuts, I have I have never loved nuts.
I don't like walnuts. I don't like peanuts. I don't
like peanuts. I don't I genuinely don't like peanuts. Peanuts
on a Sunday, No what part of I don't like
nuts on my ice cream? I mean five seconds ago,
I just said I don't like that's.

Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
Why ice cream?

Speaker 3 (01:42:55):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:42:57):
Well, according to door Dash, these are the top ten
flavors that people are door down this year. Number ten
goes to Hoggen DOS's Caramel Cone.

Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
That's I think that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 6 (01:43:13):
Yeah, that'll give you swirls of caramel throut and.

Speaker 1 (01:43:18):
Does I am a swarm man? I haven't had that.
Hogs a little overpriced? Everything is Is it worth it?

Speaker 3 (01:43:24):
Though? Probably that much better than Ben? But like, how
much more is it compared?

Speaker 1 (01:43:30):
That's a good point because Ben and Jerry's dollars totally.

Speaker 6 (01:43:35):
Number nine flavor, We're ordering Ben and Jerry's fish food.

Speaker 3 (01:43:39):
This is good.

Speaker 6 (01:43:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
I think I've had that one too, fish food like
fish like the band.

Speaker 1 (01:43:43):
Yeah, I just don't remember. Oh it's marshmallow in.

Speaker 3 (01:43:46):
It, yumy.

Speaker 6 (01:43:50):
Number eight goes to Hoggen Doss strawberry strawberry, strawberry strawberry okay.
Number seven, Ben and Jerry's Erry Garcia. Number six Ben
and Jerry's Milk and Cookies.

Speaker 1 (01:44:05):
That's a good one, very sneaky good. Thank you for
bringing that up. Milk and cookies and Jay is sneaky good.

Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
What is that like? Is that like.

Speaker 1 (01:44:14):
Cookies and milk? It's very good milk.

Speaker 6 (01:44:22):
Number five is Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie.

Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
They dominate this. Huh.

Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
I have to be in the mood for that because
it's very chocolate like.

Speaker 3 (01:44:32):
Well, this sounds to me like there's a there's a
lot of Stoners that are ordering up ice cream.

Speaker 6 (01:44:41):
Number four goes to Ben and Jerry's The Tonight dough
you named it?

Speaker 1 (01:44:46):
Never had col bet is on the cover of it. No,
Jimmy Fallon Tory idiot Tyler Tyler.

Speaker 6 (01:44:53):
Number three Ben and Jerry's strawberry cheesecake.

Speaker 4 (01:44:59):
Oh no, he's never heard about this.

Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
We could have had that. You've never had strawberry cheese
ca Oh wow? Interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:45:08):
Out of the two fruity flavors on this list, both
of them are strawberry.

Speaker 3 (01:45:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:45:13):
We got a lot of strawberry ferries out there.

Speaker 3 (01:45:15):
It's not surprising at all.

Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
