(00:00):
I actually have the goosebumps. Goodmorning, Kelly Rippa, Good morning Ellen.
How are you. I'm doing great? Hour. Well, I know
you're doing great too. I watchyou every day. Oh my gosh,
thank you. Thanks a lot. We're having a lot of fun over there.
We can tell because we watch youat the sounddown, so we just
watch your expression. I'm like, they are having so much fun. You
(00:23):
know what, I highly recommend watchingit with the soundown. If we could
just do it with no sound thatthat would be the way. Well,
Kelly, you and I are ina very special club. We are the
Seacrest sisterhood. He was my husbandfor eleven years on kiss Up, and
(00:44):
now you had him for a beautifulsix seasons. And now he moves on
to Bannah White. Do we needto talk to Hannah? You know what,
I think Bannah can handle herself.I think Fannah is I will say
this, don't you feel like luckyVanna because you can't Pat say Jack is
(01:06):
such an angel that you can't followPat up with like a monster. So
of course Seacrest is perfect. He'sjust like you know, it's going to
be such a smooth transition. I'mnot even sure if she'll notice the pat
left and mine came in. I'mwondering, you know, I'd love to
compare notes with you. I'm wonderingif if these are some of the things
(01:27):
that he brought into your life,Like at the sushi bar, seared albucore
with with crispy onions. He wouldalways put the crispy onions on the side
because they're too fattening. No,I mean yes, but no. He
had cut out all food by thetime you arely on an all liquid diet,
(01:51):
and he had this weird food windowwhere he only ate between the hours
of one and five. Yes,baffling. It was so bad. He
would say, do you want tohave dinner tonight? And I'd say,
oh, my gosh, perfect, what time? And he'd say four forty
five. I said, four fortyfive. That is lunch, that's lunch
(02:15):
times you want to have. I'llhave lunch with you at four forty five.
How great, though, What awhat a wonderful man we have in
our lives as our friends forever. We are very very very very lucky.
I've been friends with him for overtwenty I mean, my gosh, now
twenty five years. And and likeI said, he My kids have grown
(02:38):
up with him. He's uncle ryRye. And but Mark and I really
look at him like our oldest child. If I'm being frank, like we
we worry about him like we doour kids. You are checks all with
him like we do with our kids, just to make sure he's you know,
okay, it's right. Where areyou in the world? Yeah,
(03:02):
same, Kelly. I know myson grew up with Ryan as well.
We used to live right across thestreet from each other, and so,
uh, he'd been holding Calvin sincehe was I was breastfeeding my son when
when I started with Ryan. Ohmy gosh, that is something I would
like to see Ryan in the roomwith you breastfeeding that. I mean,
(03:23):
that's pay per view. That.Well, let's talk about you, Kelly.
We I love your book. You'rethe reason that I download it audible
and I've listened to it twice andnow we're out on paperback. Congrats,
Thank you so much. It's soit's you know, when you write a
book. When you write a book, at least, I didn't think that
(03:47):
anybody would certainly buy it or haveany interest in reading it, So I
wrote I wrote it with self defeatand I anticipated the launch being completely a
defeat, and I went into thebook tour with defeat on my mind.
Oh no, and you're New YorkTimes bestseller. It's like, it's it's
such a great book. It wasso unbelievable to me. And the fact
(04:14):
that it went into print for paperbackis still like I'm still pinging myself and
I still don't believe it. AndI'm just so grateful. I'm so grateful
to everyone that you know, likeyou Ellen that it's like struck a chord
with and I knew it struck achord with my friends, and I knew
it struck a chord with my relatives. But you don't think like maybe people
(04:38):
outside of your circle, maybe yourfriends and family are just being kind to
you. Although although my mom justread it for the first time and she's
like, I don't get it,so of course read it, and of
course she just read it now ayear after it came out. But I
(05:00):
will say it's been kind of remarkablethe way it has people relate to it,
and that it does feel like it'severyone's sort of universal experience. I'm
not alone, and this is youknow, this is how most people in
the workforce feel. This is howmost parents feel, this is how most
married people feel. And so forthat I was extremely gratified. Let's talk
(05:28):
about your spicy sex life, yourhigh libido. What can you share with
us, Kelly, us tired andworn out mothers and fathers, how to
keep it hot? You know,I wouldn't say I have a high libido.
I would say my husband have ahigh libido. And so I look
at it like this, I don'tknow. Do you go to the gym.
(05:50):
I do, Yes, I liftand I do like a circuit training
thing. Okay, amazing, Andso like when you skip the gym for
like one or two or three orfour days, like that fifth day,
you're like, oh god, Ican't believe I have to go to the
gym. Yes, Whereas if youjust go to the gym, you go
to the gym, and I lookat sex like that. Okay, more
(06:13):
you do it, the more youdo it, and the less you do
it, the less you do it. That is, so you know what,
Kelly, that's the key, wow, because that's what you have.
My motto. My motto is justI never say no. Right, she's
talking about with her husband. Ijust want to clarify, it's like not
just like a blanket, never sayno. This is specifically with one man.
(06:38):
Well, good for you if you'regetting offers from men who are not
your husband. I mean, oh, Kelly, well, Kelly's tips her
life. It's I think the reasonKelly also it's such a hit is because
you went into a zero expectations andit's just honest, it's just real and
(07:00):
and so it's it's really like aglimpse of who you are. I mean,
we know you from your TV show, we know you from you know,
all your parents's and all the thingsthat you do. But now I
feel like we really know you. It's like your inner thoughts. Yeah,
I feel like that that's more ofwhat it is. I mean a lot
of people, I think are surprisedthat it's just I sort of a raw
(07:25):
It's definitely it's a book of humoressays. So it's not like a stop
story. Yeah, but it's definitelya very honest, very open take on
a few episodes in my life thatsometimes I wish never happened. And sometimes
you are the reason sort of thereason I am where I am, and
(07:48):
and I think it is I thinkit is if it's one thing that's struck
me as how relatable it is andhow that's the thing that people are really
tapping into. And I'm so,like I said, so grateful for the
opportunity. Miss Rippa takes no prisoners. We love you, Kelly. We
have to let you go. We'relive right now, so we're just taking
(08:09):
you while we're live. And Iknow that you know how that goes.
I understand that perfectly doing three thingsat once, live wire, long winded
short stories. Kelly Rippa, thankyou so much for coming on with us.
Congrats on all your success. Thankyou too, Ellen. Great to
talk to you always, You too. Bye.
