guess you can call it social anxietyshyness. Maybe as a child was it

only and I had some cousins butdidn't really spend a lot of time.
So I spent a lot of timealone, being okay with being alone.
But as I've gotten older, itseems to becoming kind of an issue.
I'm feeling a little bit lonely.I find in the moment I'm comfortable being
alone, like making the decision I'mgoing to spend my time alone today,

but then by the time I've spenta few hours with myself, I just
feel lonely, and I regret makingthat decision, and it's just become like
a cyclical thing. It's been yearsof this and I want to know or
just a hint at how I canmaybe break this cycle. And Marcus,
first of all, I just wantyou to know that you are one hundred

percent not alone. Even though youfeel alone, You're going through something that
millions and millions of people feel everysingle day. And I think that can
be the first step in having youfeel not alone is knowing that you aren't
fact not alone. I think thatyou know, the fact that we've become
so attached to our devices and ourelectronics has really made this even more prevalent

than it was I don't know,ten fifteen years ago, Marcus, when
I you know, throughout the ideaof you know, talking to somebody,
making eye contact, maybe taking itforward from there, how do you feel
is it scary? Does it soundlike, oh, that would have been
something that was so fun to doit? It does feel a little scary.

It also sometimes feels maybe even unnecessary. I feel like I might get
rejected. And he brought up agood point with the social media or just
electronic devices, And now I've gottencomfortable with that, and I don't want
to be comfortable with that. That'sI'm uncomfortable with being comfortable with that,

right, And you said something reallyinteresting in that. I think that when
we have social anxiety and we're giventhe opportunity to have a break from that,
it can feel like a vacation.It can feel, you know exactly
what you said, like a reward. There's not that pressure. And the
problem with that is if it's somethingwe struggle with to begin with, and

then we're taken out of that,it becomes even more difficult to connect.
Once we're in that space, it'skind of like it helps we get out
of practice. I appreciate that.I think that might be exactly kind of
what I needed to hear, becauseas I feel isolated, I need to

remember that others are isolated as well. I definitely am not alone, but
you know what it's like when youcan get in your own head and get
on that carousel of similar ideas andsometimes it's hard to get off. But
you know, I think today mightbe a good data to start something.

do and all me somebody I loveto call back in and you're good because
