the deal with this chapel Roone? I keep seeing her name,
but it's all for the wrong reason.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, she doesn't want to be famous, so why are
we doing this?
Speaker 7 (03:20):

wheat pickles? I do? I love a sweet pickle relish
in tuna salad.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Okay, what's your favorite pickle? Ellen?
Speaker 1 (06:06):
A dial A big fat deal. I like it the
ones that you buy whole and they need to Yeah,
and Jerry's Deli used to have those. Yeah, I love
the pickle jar.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
I only like sour pickles.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Really, I could see that. I like sour and sweet,
I like, I like all pickles.
Speaker 4 (06:23):

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, those are good too. Let's bring it.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
On the best.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
And by the way, shout out not an ad Grillo's pickles.
Find them in the fridge section at your store.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Those are the fresh.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
My mother in law sensays, Wickles pickles. What yeah, yeah,
they're at the grocery store. It's a Wickles pickles. And
it's just I don't know where they come from, but she's.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
She's in Texas though, that's gotta be a Dallas thing.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Okay, Well, wickles, really, I left the name. I'm gonna
tickle your wickle.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Well, listen, I ask, And here's the reason.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
If your head is feeling fuzzy, maybe a little foggy today,
you can't get it going munch on a pickle. And
I know it's early, but it'll help you. Biting into
something sour like a pickle heightens your focus within seconds.
Scientists say sour flavors relax your nervous system, opening the
arteries and increasing the amount of blood reaching your brain.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
It's science amazing. Yep, Grillos, yep, wickl Classic. Yeah, I'm
at the Wickles website. Oh yeah, pickles get wicked in
the kitchen. Okay, and also which are you wicked or dirty?
So I think you'll love their website. It's Wickles, So
it's pickle. It's like pickles with a W. I don't
see where they're based though, Ryan, because it's a huge
(07:37):
about us. But they're ninety years old.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
Okay, Yeah, I feel good is coming up on the
l and K Morning Show.
Speaker 10 (07:45):
It's the llen K Morning Show. So good this morning,
thank you post.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
One three point and it's just and there's a there's
a four million dollar mistake made by an employee at
a washing machine company accidentally mislabeled products and it cost
four million dollars for the company. He listed things way
too cheap. So what's the biggest mistake you've ever made?
Speaker 13 (08:11):
It work?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
We want to hear from you and give us a call.
Speaker 10 (08:13):
It's the llen K Morning Show. Because this is sunshine
and a ball.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
This is Ellen.
Speaker 10 (08:18):
Yeah, you got to my morning coast one oh three
point five.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Top stories top of the hour. Good morning and Ellen K.
We are following this closely. The line fire burning towards
Big Bear has torched thirty seven thousand acres. Some good news,
containment is up overnight to eighteen percent. Cooler attempts today.
We'll get to that in a minute, but it's helping
out our brave firefighter six hundred and fifty of them
on these scenes of these monster fires. The Bridge Fire
(08:44):
the largest current blaze across the state, six to fifty
thousand acres. No containment in the San Gabriel Mountains. One
feel good follow up on this one Mountain High resort
in Right Woods. They did not lose the entire property
to the blaze. They did sake some damage to some
buildings and some lifts, but when the fires went out,
it wasn't as bad as initially believed. And what about
(09:05):
This new iPhone sixteen, which was unveiled this week, includes
a button on the side of the device specifically for
controlling your camera. Apple wanted to make things as easy
as humanly possible for users to take selfie, so they
create a system that allows you to capture an image
and even zoom just by swiping along your control button.
We'll be taking more pictures than ever with this new
(09:26):
feature if you do go in for the sixteen. Okay,
so we have another day of way cooler tempts highs
hanging close to eighty. Our seventy looks pretty perfect. Street
seventy starting tomorrow, Tustin and Topanga highs around seventy five today,
and we run on Celsia's Energy drinks. It's KOST Los Angeles,
Coast one O three point five coming up, three day
(09:48):
passes to stagecoach, keep you here to win.
Speaker 10 (09:51):
It's the ellen K Morning Show.
Speaker 11 (09:53):
Thank you so much for making my morning so much
easier to wake up.
Speaker 10 (09:55):
To Coast one oh three point five with the LNK
Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
And it's Coast one A three point five five. I'll
never forget it. My first job's so excited to be
getting a paycheck. It was sixteen and my sister seventeen.
We get a job at a corking cleaver. It was
like it was like the they had like a buffet,
(10:22):
but they also had like a fancy wrest. We were
at the buffet and we'd have to put out the
cream pies and we used the wrong knife to cut them.
Arangue in the cream pies and so they weren't you know,
pies are just perfect in the buffet line, and the
people who would go to this buffet love their pies
and it has to be a perfect clean cut. So
(10:44):
we used the wrong knife and it was all uneven
and it was all ugly. And we're talking about mistakes.
You make it work. So we ruined hundreds of dollars
with the pies. We were not fired, but we didn't
get paid that day. We were sent home early to
think about what we had done. Instead of asking for help,
we just took it upon ourselves. And the pies were
(11:06):
so ugly, and so you know, that was a wash
that day.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
What do they do with the ugly pies? Do they
take them off the line?
Speaker 1 (11:12):
You know what? They took it right off the line,
and they put out puddings instead put per dessert. You
could get butterscotch, tapioca, or chocolate. So that we had
to do that and then we had to leave. We're
talking about mistakes. You make it work. We all do it.
There's a guy in China who made a four million
dollar mistake because he mispriced the washing machines and put
(11:33):
him online. Forty thousand shoppers took advantage of this incredible price,
and the company had to make a seventeen minute apology
video and begged customers to realize it was an honest mistake.
We don't know if he was fired or not. I
hope not, but that's a big mistake. Did you ever
have a job where you made like a giant mistake
at work?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I did.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
I my first job. I worked at Office Max. I
was a cashier and these were the days where after
your seat printed, a long rebate form would print. Oh,
and you would have to fill it out and mail
it in with your receipt.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Well, I was sixteen. It was my first job.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
I thought they got the rebate right away.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
So you gave them the you're so generous. Oh, I
got ridden enough.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
I learned real because I was a bank teller and
I know that that that horror that comes with managing
a drawer, okay, And my dad was the VP of
the bank, relatively my boss. So the first time I
was under for a day, it was like twenty five
dollars under. I was like, that's something you keeps you
up at night?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Oh No, where did the twenty five dollars go?
Speaker 4 (12:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
I made a mistake.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I probably was about one hundred and fifty dollars under.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Yeah, we ruined hundreds of dollars worth of pies a valerie.
It's so nice. You're having breakfast with your dad. And
he told you a story of his opsie, what what happened?
Speaker 15 (12:54):
So when he was younger, he was working for a
furniture store, but he was working in the warehouse and
one day he was driving the forklift in the warehouse
and when it went up, he accidentally hit the pipeline. Oh,
and the water pipeline, and it bled everything inside of
the warehouse. This was a furniture warehouse that he was working.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Oh no, I was just going to ask, like, what
did he flood? It was furniture. Oh how many millions
of dollars were destroyed?
Speaker 15 (13:27):
Hundreds of thousands, hundreds of thousands.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
And he was forgiven, Yes, you was forgive.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Do we know how long it took them to get
the water to stop gushing?
Speaker 15 (13:38):
Let me ask him, Yes, about twenty minutes, because the
fire department showed up.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Oh crap, I mean not a cup about that.
Speaker 16 (13:48):
That's good they showed up.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
But oh my god, yeah, oh my god. We're glad.
Your dad's okay, And that everyone's okay, and he was forgiven.
Everyone's been forgiven.
Speaker 11 (13:57):
Yeah, yes, that's good.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
A lot of good bosses out there. Then, Thank you
so much, Valerie.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Have a great.
Speaker 15 (14:04):
Day you too.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
All Right, big mistakes, we make them every day. Can't
beat ourselves up over it, even if they did lose
this company four million dollars.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
A million of gotta beat yourself up a little.
Speaker 10 (14:18):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 15 (14:19):
Thank you, Ellen K, just real quick, a little kiss
on you well, thank you so much for making my day.
Speaker 10 (14:24):
Host one O three point five stage.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Coach, and they dropped this list of performers. We were like, what,
it's amazing three day passes.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Yeah, it's a five point oh I felt it.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
We rolled, guys, we went that. We're we're still rolling,
our whole building shaking here. It is whoa, okay, what
do we do do we go under the table crazy
right now? If we're still rolling? All right, we're having
a live earthquake right now, and it's we're still shaking
still all right? So our first report five point zero,
(15:07):
Channel five KTLA is off the air. Oh no, and
we have Channel seven going and Fox eleven here does.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Drop cover hold on protect yourself.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Okay, So we're gonna take a little break. We'll be back.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
Find your feel good here on the L and K
Morning Show. Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 10 (15:25):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 11 (15:27):
Think I've fall in love with you? Guys?
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Is that official? Are we dating?
Speaker 11 (15:30):
We are online dating Coast.
Speaker 10 (15:32):
One oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
And we were shaken in our studio right at seven
twenty eight when the four point six earthquake was happening
centered in Malibu. Our studios here in Burbank were just
shaking like crazy. Malibu is not too far from us,
but that's shaking felt every I've got my shake app.
And so we were just getting into the len KQ
(15:55):
and A and everything in here is swinging. We have
giant speakers and televisions hanging from our walls and ceiling
and lights, and we rolled and shook for quite a while.
It felt like the building jumped and then rolled. I'm
rattled and yeah, hug, yeah, it's scary. That went a
(16:15):
long long time. Louise Santa Anna going to work. You're
in your car. What road are you on?
Speaker 7 (16:23):
Smon the street?
Speaker 11 (16:24):
I was warming up my car and all of a sudden,
the car started shaky, and at first I thought, what's
wrong with the car?
Speaker 3 (16:32):
You know, and it wouldn't stop.
Speaker 12 (16:34):
I want to say, lasted two three seconds.
Speaker 6 (16:37):
Yeah, yeah, And then I thought it was like, okay,
it's nothing, and then sure.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Enough it was.
Speaker 13 (16:44):
It was an earthquake.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
One of our listeners is DJ Dons to the Clippers,
and he drives his kids to school every morning, and
he said that they're in the car and it was
crazy to see all the lights in the car shaking.
Four point seven magnitude earthquake at two point eight after
shock and it centered seven miles below the earth in
Malibu and a lot of shaking going on. We were
just about to give you your llen k Q and
(17:07):
a for stage coach, Louise, Are you feeling okay to
give us a guess?
Speaker 7 (17:12):
Yeah, I'll give you.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Let me ask the court happened. I've said it yet,
but over your lifetime, you're gonna lose almost a thousand
of these. So what do you think it is?
Speaker 7 (17:23):
I came up with shoes I couldn't think of.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I always wonder like I was putting
money in the meter in North Hollywood the other day
and there was one shoe with a heel broken. Yeah,
I thought, I look at that shoe. I thought, who
is this? That shoe has a story?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
You loan shoe doesn't have a story.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I was like, who's your owner? And what have you
been through a shoe? Yeah, it's a great guest. Louise
is not the right answer, but well, you wish you safety.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Are you shaking?
Speaker 7 (18:26):
We were shaking, but not anymore.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yeah, I know, I feel like I know we're not
rolling anymore, but I feel like we're still rolling. I've
never felt this building roll this much. I wasn't in
the Big One in San Francisco in ninety and I
have to tell you in eighty nine, my car was bouncing.
I was crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge was swaying.
(18:50):
My car was bouncing. It was this bounce and sway.
It was the weirdest thing. And then the police closed
the bridge. But I still feel like we're rolling, are
we Yeah?
Speaker 13 (19:01):
No, we're not.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
We're still no, We're good. All right, Kevin, Glad, you're okay?
What is your guest over your lifetime? You're gonna lose
a thousand?
Speaker 11 (19:09):
What I'm gonna just say a thousand dollars?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
A thousand dollars? I wish that was all. That's like
ten minutes in Vegas. Yeah, I know, I know, No,
I know it's a great guess. It's not the right answer,
but try again.
Speaker 11 (19:28):
Thank you, Thanks, thanks Glad.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Everyone's okay. Soar Hi Gabby, Hi, Hi Gabby? Working from home?
And were you jumping and rolling?
Speaker 4 (19:38):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (19:38):
I was, Yeah, all right. It was based in Malibu.
And get the my shake up. It really it tells
you everything. Then you can tap on your earthquake that
just happened and see from the USGS exactly you know
what is going on minute by minute we're supposed to
get the early morning. Yeah, I get that. It was
seven miles deep in Malibu. Wow, four point si. Okay,
(20:02):
So what's your guest, Gabby, what do we lose a
thousand of over our lifetime socks? Socks is right? You're

Speaker 7 (21:00):
I love you.
Speaker 13 (21:00):
We listened to you every morning religiously. We implore you.
Speaker 10 (21:03):
Coast one oh three point five earthquake.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
We live on the air and this coast one of
three point five top stories top of the hour, A
good morning of lank four point seven magnitude earthquake centered
seven miles deep in Malibu, two point eight magnitude after shock,
with more certainly to come. The mic shake app is
super comprehensive to download, for all the information you need.
(21:27):
Second by second, you can also input what you felt
and then it helps them kind of with the fuel report.
They also have the shake map and it shows that
this was felt as far inland as a downy even
beyond into a little bit of reports of riverside as
far north as Santa Barbara and all the way down
to San Diego. So if you felt that it was
(21:48):
a four point seven earthquake. Centered in Malibu, tech billionaire
performed the first private space walk hundreds of miles above
Earth early this morning, a high risk endeavor reserved for
pro astronaut until now. Tech entrepreneur Jared Isaacman teamed up
with SpaceX. He also SpaceX. He also tested the company's
brand new spacesuits on his chartered flight. This spacewalk was
(22:09):
simple and quick, less than two hours compared with the
drawn out affairs that NASA conducts of space experts and
risk analysts, so it's inevitable that some will seek the
thrill of space walking. There were a few glitches. Isaacman
had to manually pull the hatch open instead of pushing
a button, and then before heading out, another astronaut reported
seeing bulges in the hatch seal. But they did it.
(22:31):
Everybody's safe. What about this former NFL and USC star
Reggie Bush almost became the latest victim of the ongoing
string of homeburg, Luise and Encino So wild story. The
lapd were called to the Heisman winner six million dollar
gated mansion around eleven pm last night. Reggie himself made
that nine to one one called he was awake and
heard the sound of smashing window glass, but yelled loudly
(22:52):
and scared away the potential invader. And what about Trash
the Clown. There's an unconventional hero, a mom cleaning up
her hometown in Michigan. She dresses up as a clown
and hits the streets with trash bags and a shopping cart.
She calls carter cleaning up the city while she also
tries to shift people's perspectives outside the cloud that Trash
the Clown is a stay at home mom. She just
(23:13):
said she wanted to get out and help her community,
all right? What about this another day of way cooler
temps at highs hanging close to eighty Our seven day
looks pretty perfect. Street seventy starting tomorrow. Right now it
is sixty eight in Burbank and we run on Celsia's
Energy Drinks Kost Los Angeles. It's Coast one oh three
point five. It's a therapy Thursday coming up at a
ten our. Licensed therapist Sarah will be here to help
(23:35):

Speaker 10 (23:42):
Llen K Morning Show, Coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Welcome to Therapy Thursday. Javier, you are hooked up here
with our therapist. She's a licensed therapist, Sarah Dash. Hello, Javier, Hi.
Speaker 11 (23:54):
How's it going.
Speaker 7 (23:55):
How are you doing?
Speaker 11 (23:57):
I'm okay, I'm okay.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Well, but you call that.
Speaker 13 (24:03):
Well.
Speaker 11 (24:03):
I've been hearing your Therapy Thursday segment and it definitely
definitely piques my interest. Sometimes sometimes I feel like I
cannot be a good candidate for therapy.
Speaker 7 (24:16):
Okay.
Speaker 11 (24:17):
The thought of completely opening up to random person that
I don't know kind of doesn't sit well with me.
Speaker 7 (24:25):
And that makes sense. I mean, we are not wired
to spill our guts to a stranger. It doesn't feel
it doesn't feel safe. So it's definitely, you know, kind
of a getting your feet wet.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Process.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
Tell me what makes you most uncomfortable about the idea
of opening up to a stranger.
Speaker 11 (24:43):
Sometimes it feels like I don't I don't want to
form some type of like a fake relationship.
Speaker 7 (24:49):
I mean that makes a lot of sense. But if
you find the right therapist, it is going to be
a professional relationship, absolutely, But that doesn't mean it's not
a real relationship.
Speaker 11 (25:00):
App Okay, okay, But then it seems like I don't
want to be paying for for a fake friend. I
mean I have plenty of those.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Well, this is the way I think maybe you could
look at it, Javier, is that this could become one
of your closest confidants, meaning your friends know you. Your
therapist will start out as a stranger, but get to
know you and figure you out.
Speaker 11 (25:32):
And how do you guys handle the resistant people.
Speaker 7 (25:35):
Well, usually people who are extremely persistent don't really find
their way into therapy.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
And by the way, let me just say I think
it really is persistent men. I think there's an element
of men are just raised to not have these feelings
and open up and really kind of be vulnerable.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
That's just not in our DNA.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
But we don't know what we don't know in Javier,
I will tell you therapy has in many regards, saved
and changed my life.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
And I encourage you just to go once.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
Just for one hour, and like Allen said, see if
you feel better or worse when you leave, and that'll
give you a good indication of whether it's right for
you at this time in your life.
Speaker 11 (26:18):
All right, well, I'm waning to try it, so that
where do I sign?
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Ah, Havier, Well, we hope that you find your way,
and we're always here for you. Sarah's here every Thursday,
so you know, we hope that you'll circle back and
let us know you know how it goes.
Speaker 11 (26:33):
Thank you so much, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Javier afraid of therapy here on therapy Thursday, but he
just had therapy. Yeah, he let him go and he
signed happier when he hung up than he did when
he called.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
I believe they call that meta. That was a therapy
session about therapy.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
I'll tell you what's really good therapy is a really
good feel good. So she goes, we're still shaking here
from the earthquake. In case you didn't feel it, I'm
getting a lot of reports from Hollywood and What's Hollywood
that there was very light shaking, and the shake map
shows you all the way up to Santa Barbara, down
to San Diego and into like a riverside area, so
it was all over the Southland. It was a rattler. Yeah, seriously,
(27:11):
but we have your four packs to Halloween time at
Disneyland Resort and that's the happiest place on earth. So
we can't wait to give you those. Keep it here
to win that coming out. Llen K Morning Show, Good

Okay, Okay, did you guys feel that earthquake.
Speaker 15 (28:32):
Yes we did.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Oh that was so scary. Our building rolled for such
a long time, and we were live on the air,
and the speakers were shaking and the TVs were rattling.
It was just it was it was really scary.
Speaker 13 (28:46):
We were actually listening to you guys, so we kind
of stopped on the road and we felt the rolling
when we got the NotI potato that we heard all
of you guys on the radio as it was happening.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Oh my gosh, I heard the like stop lights were
swinging too.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
Yes, yes, So it.
Speaker 15 (29:03):
Was kind of scary. So we kept them home from
school just in case we have any other aftershock.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Well that's you know what way to go. Mom, I'm
glad you did that. And girls, I'm sure you feel
nice and safe with your mom.
Speaker 4 (29:14):

Guys past one o three point five right doing the
L and K Q and A.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
We had a live earthquake, our first library on the
Earth four point seven earthquake in Malibu with a two
point eight after shock. But the Q and A over
your lifetime, you will lose almost a thousand socks. We
see them on the roadway in unexpected places and and
that's why all of our Q and a's are scientifically proven.
(30:01):
Unposted on our social quest.
Speaker 10 (30:04):
It's the ellen k Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
Than you guys are great to listen to, Great energy.
Speaker 10 (30:09):
Host one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Top Stories, Top of the hour, Good morning of ellen
K and the line fire in San Bernardino County has
grown to over thirty seven thousand acres. There's a suspect
being held with that bail right now. That man accused
of starting the fire, thirty four year old Justin Wayne
Holstenberg of Norco. He has been arrested and like I said,
held without bail. The FedEx driver is facing charges of arson,
(30:33):
arson and forest property, and possession of an incendiary device.
The motive is unknown, but officials said that Halstenberg may
be a serial arsonist responsible for other fires. Governor Gavenusoen
visiting the area and touring a scorch section near Highland. Also,
the Line fire, which has started burning towards Big Bear,
has torched thirty seven thousand acres and good news, containment
(30:55):
is up overnight to eighteen percent. The airport fire now
spans two counties zero percent contained six hundred and fifty
brave souls firefighters working this beast and your earthquake timeline.
Maybe you felt it, maybe you didn't. We're getting all
kinds of differing reports, but a four point seven earthquake
in Malibu felt all over the south Land, all the
(31:16):
way north to Santa Barbara, south really to the border
of Mexico, and then inland to Riverside, San Bernardino. Two
point eight after shock and many after shocks to come
after that. We're looking at about a dozen right now,
but none of them over that two point eight On
what about this? Are Buddy John bon Jovi being hailed
as a hero, rightfully so, after convincing a woman in
(31:36):
crisis not to take her own life. John in downtown
Nashville filming a music video on a bridge during the shooting.
Notice a lady standing at the edge crying. Bon Jovi
paused production and approached her. After a few minutes of chatting,
John helped physically pull her back over at railing should
help at a hospital, John giving her hugs and checking
up on her as well. Way to go, John. And
(31:59):
today we're going to have a mild day. Highs in
the upper seventies in most areas, and we run on
Celsius Energy drinks. Kost Los Angeles. It's coast to a
one o three point five. We have a holiday surprise
coming for you this hour. Keep it here to win.
Speaker 10 (32:13):
It's the Ellen k Morning Show.
Speaker 15 (32:15):
Because this is sunshine and a bottle.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
This is Ellen.
Speaker 14 (32:18):
Yeah, you got to my.
Speaker 10 (32:20):
Morning Coast one oh three point five Ade looking.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Forward to taking some personal time off, and there she
is on coast one of three point five. Sometimes make
a big mistake at work and you're forced into some
personal time off. Now there's this guy in China and
he works for a you know, like I guess would
be like a best Buy, and he was in charge
of putting the prices up on the website. It's a
(32:43):
big washing machine sale, so he put up the wrong price.
Forty thousand customers bought that washing machine, and there was
a four million dollar mistake. He put just a way
low price.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
Yeah, you miss a zero or at a zero whatever,
that can really affect things. Remember just a couple months ago,
someone working at either Tiffany's or Cardier and mispriced those
ear rings by more than, like, you know, forty thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, and the guy bought two pairs, and Cardier honored
the original price that they posted. So this company in
China made a seventeen minute apology video and then contacted
each customer saying it was an honest mistake. We're really sorry.
Do you mind if we just refund you? And if
you want this washing machine, here's the real price. So
(33:29):
I don't think that the gentleman was fired, but I
know that my sister and I ruined hundreds of thousands,
well hundreds of dollars of pies when we worked at
a cafeteria. We were supposed to cut them and make
it neat and pretty because they're cream pies, but we
used a serrated knife instead of a smooth knife, so
it made it all exquis Yeah, so they put puddings
(33:51):
out for dessert instead. And the people who would come
to our cafeteria love their pies.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
They came for the pipes.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
They came for the pies, peanut butter, the creamy pie.
You got, the lemon merangue. We we had this thing
called a cherry whip, and it was a cherry pie
with this cherry, you know, like red colored, big old
cream on top.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
You didn't just ruin pies, Ellen, you ruined days. Lots
of people's day.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
Well I shouldn't. They enjoyed their butter scotch pudding.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
When I worked at Office Max, it was my first job,
and I was a cashier and it was during the
days of rebates, and I thought when the rebate receipt
printed that it meant I had to give them that
money back.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
And I did.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
And you remadd largest handing out cash and you're still
handing out cash on coast three point five. Way to go, Darcy.
You followed your heart, all right. Let's get to you. Lynett.
You're a flight attendant, so you had a big our
math teacher used to call them the stookies. He got Ellen,
that was a big mistookie. Yeah, But Lynette, you had
(34:53):
a big mistake, a real challenging day of work. What happened?
Speaker 11 (34:58):
Oh wow?
Speaker 13 (34:59):
It was with Ryan secret too, which was hilarious.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Oh no, what happened?
Speaker 13 (35:04):
Well, two things happened on that flight. It was my
one of my first flights as a private flight attendant.
And I put all the ice. So you know, when
you're flying on a private flight, there's drawers that they're
kind of seamless that you can't tell their drawers.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Oh, I don't know that, but i'd like to know that.
Speaker 13 (35:23):
Okay. Well I opened it and I put it in
there without looking if there was a lining or not.
And the ice were smelting all over the place.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Oh no, oh no, So Ryan Seacrests didn't have any
ice on his private plane.
Speaker 13 (35:39):
No, no, he didn't. He didn't even notice that that happened.
And then so on our flight, he requested the champagne
to be opened, and I didn't have any flutes. I
don't know why the plate didn't have any flutes. They
should have flutes, but they didn't. So I served it
in wineglasses. So he's looking at me and he's like,
why are they why are they even wine glasses? And
(36:01):
I said, I don't know because they don't have any flukes.
But then I got better.
Speaker 12 (36:05):
I got better.
Speaker 13 (36:06):
Yeah, you never learn it's all good.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
How long was the flight?
Speaker 13 (36:11):
It was from here to Cabos and Lucas.
Speaker 16 (36:15):
Keeps getting murse, no, no, no, we don't need any more.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Who my friend.
Speaker 10 (36:32):
Wake up with lan k Hi.
Speaker 14 (36:34):

every morning. Anytime I'm in my beer, you guys are
there to keep me awake and happy and smiling.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Oh, James, thank you. We're grateful to be here with you.
Speaker 12 (37:11):
No, I appreciate that again, Darlene Ryan, you guys are
the best man, no matter what.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
Love hearing your voice, James, Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 12 (37:20):
I love hearing you guys every morning.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
We really did think that we were going to be
under some rubble today when the earthquake happened, because our
building rolled so long and so hard, even though it
was based in Malibu and we were live on the
air when it happened. You can go to our socials
at Coast one of three five FM and hear it.
But it was so I mean, and look, we've all
(37:43):
lived here for a long time. We've been through these
so many times, but this one just hits so different.
And it's not the biggest we've ever had, thank god,
but it definitely felt super active, and Darlene and Ryan
and I just looked at each other and we went
under the desk.
Speaker 12 (38:00):
Well, I can appreciate that because unfortunately I did feel
the big one from north Ridge and I lived in
Semi Valley and that was that big one we row.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I'm happy that you lived through that too. That was
just so tragic.
Speaker 12 (38:17):
Oh yeah, no, absolutely. Hey, you know what, every day
you're above the ground, you're doing good well.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
Especially when you win tickets to Tso that's going to
be great, awesome.
Speaker 12 (38:26):
I really appreciate that. It's gonna be nice. My wife's
gonna enjoy herself and and myself. Of course, we'll make
it a night.
Speaker 4 (38:32):
Out on you guys.
Speaker 10 (38:33):

We shook hard. Yeah, seven live and you can hear
it happening on our socials at coast one of three
five FM.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
I owe you some altoids because I've been chewing away
at these to calm down.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Well, we had to hug and today's National Hug Day,
Oh it is, yeah, and just remember duck cover and roll.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
We need to be ready for cover hold on you roll?
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Sorry, that's for fire. Yeah, duck cover and hold on,
hold on. Yeah, And that's exactly what we did. And
what a day to do a two on National Hug Day.
So Darline, you don't know me anything. You eat all
those altoids and uh yeah, it's just that our building.
We haven't been here live when our building shakes like that.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
So and I think we're on We're on rollers though?
Is that? What is that? What made it feel worse?
Speaker 1 (39:55):
I think? So it must okay, I feel for people
who are intolerance building.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Oh my god, I really was scared to hear a crack.
