Some of them may be tall tales, like what was
your experience like on that set?

You know it was it was like you see on
them on on the television it was.
Speaker 11 (28:41):
It was it was just.

An amazing set. I mean, it was a little amazing
energy and and and you know, Lucy and DESSI had
a lot of passion, They had a lot of uh
they had a lot bought into the show. And uh,
you know, we had a bunch of people who worked
for for the Ala Lucy Show that that's jobs depended

on the success of the show. And so you know,
filming in front of a live audience, having the orchestra,
the the you know, does Arn's Orchestra on that on
that that stage right there, It just all was just
so much of an energy when you walked on that set.
It was it was not a boring set, Let's put

Well did you continue acting or did you go the
music route after the show?

sixty six Bill Dana Hazel Farmer's daughter, and then I
got a part, uh semi regular part, small part on
The Andy Grim Show. Played Johnny Paul was Ron Howard's

best friend. I love it so I thought about thirteen
episodes of that Andy grive The show.

legendary show I Love Lucy premiered on CBS. We watch
it in reruns. It's kind of like the Seinfeld of

that generation, you know, like we always get those iconic
shows that that we watched through generations. You know, my
mother watched it, I watched it. I still watch it,
still watch it.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
And yes, you know, what we've learned ellen about Darlene
over the years is that there is no situation that
can arise that she can't tie back to Lucy.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
It's about life. Yeah, Lucy is life. And welcome little
Ricky Keith Tippodeaux. Keith, my gosh, you are so amazing
to take time out of your busy schedule and I
love Lucy Day as Little Ricky. You must have so
many great memories from the set.

Well, it was a great show, and I got great
memories and I grew up so to speak, on the show.
And then just the relationship with Lucy and DESI was
always a constant during that time until I left when
I was fifteen.

He is Little Ricky. You're the last living, regular appearing
cast member from I Love Lucy. So thank you for
keeping the legacy going.

Oh yeah, well I'm embracing it now that I'm older.

So you're from Lafayette, Louisiana. I'm from Lafayette, Indiana, and
my husband grew up in Metteri, So I recognize your accent.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
Very cool, very cool. Yeah, it's a Lafayette down in
Louisiana and there's a Lafayette in Indiana.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Yeah, that's right. I was telling the team here about
Lafayette and his conquests when he went up the Mississippi River.
He really loved women, and that's why so many things
are named after him because back in the day he
was he was planting his seeds.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
Well, we don't know if we're all related to him
in some way that grew up.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Can you talk to us about the set of of
I Love Lucy.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
We've heard so many just stories.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
Some of them may be tall tales, like what was
your experience like on that set?
Speaker 5 (28:36):
You know it was it was like you see on
them on on the television it was.
Speaker 11 (28:41):
It was it was just.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
An amazing set. I mean, it was a little amazing
energy and and and you know, Lucy and DESSI had
a lot of passion, They had a lot of uh
they had a lot bought into the show. And uh,
you know, we had a bunch of people who worked
for for the Ala Lucy Show that that's jobs depended
(29:03):
on the success of the show. And so you know,
filming in front of a live audience, having the orchestra,
the the you know, does Arn's Orchestra on that on
that that stage right there, It just all was just
so much of an energy when you walked on that set.
It was it was not a boring set, Let's put
(29:24):
it that way.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
They don't make them like that anymore.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
No again, no, yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Well did you continue acting or did you go the
music route after the show?
Speaker 5 (29:35):
Well, right after the Alablucy Show ended because of Lucy
and Deasy's divorced I did some guest shows like Route
sixty six Bill Dana Hazel Farmer's daughter, and then I
got a part, uh semi regular part, small part on
The Andy Grim Show. Played Johnny Paul was Ron Howard's
(29:59):
best friend. I love it so I thought about thirteen
episodes of that Andy grive The show.

Do you still play the drums?
Speaker 5 (30:07):
Still love love both shows?
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah, do you still play the drums?
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Yeah, And that's my main thing that I started out
with before the Ala Lucy Show, and it's something that
I've continued to do up to this day. My band
David and the Giants Christian rock band, where we just
finished putting down some tracks for our new album. We
do festivals, we do concerts here and there, and yeah,

still stay active doing drums.

Does it ever get old seeing Little Ricky Little U
on TV?
Speaker 5 (30:43):
No, it's actually about my wife and I actually, uh,
you know, it's funny because I appreciate the shows more
than I did of course when I was on them,
because you know, people didn't really have anything to compare
these shows by, so it was it's something that we
and enjoy. I enjoyed Andy Grivis Show. I enjoyed you know,

old old movies, you know, forties fifty movies. You know,
I think that's the heyday and golden day of Hollywood.

way we know what they have and they can't claim
they're battling a shortage. Gavin does not like big Oil.
