I'm social Queen Darlene, Good morning, I'm producing Mike Romos. Yeah,
waking up to the news that Fernando Velinzuela has passed
at the age of sixty three. Right before the playoffs began,
he left and there was a lot of speculation. Wait
a minute, is he okay? What's going on? So he
wasn't doing anything announcing in Espanol, and then we find
(00:31):
out that he did pass. The youngest of twelve children
called up in the nineteen eighty season as a reliever,
and then Jerry Brouss was injured on the day before
opening day, so Tommy Lasorda gave the ball to Valezuela.
He'd never started a major league game in his career.
I mean, the sky is amazing.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I was a huge I mean I still am a
baseball fan, and you know, living in Chicago, there was
still that phenomenon. You still knew this guy was something.
Victoria the ball for real. This guy brought the city together.
He was he was really a great representation for you
know Hispanics that loved baseball, they didn't prior have that.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Yeah, right, right, he was a cat opener for sure. Yeah,
the muras going up in Boyle Heights, that it's being
painted as we speak, and that was already in motion.
No Dodger will ever wear number thirty four fans with
the huge tribute outside of Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
It's it's a big loss for the for all the
Dodgers and the Dodger franchise, for Dodger fans. And we're said,
I think I think his his impact was, you know,
being a Latino, being a Mexican and coming from Sonora
and in the city of Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Coach that who ever here is the Vin Scully quote

So we'll do this story early while kids are hopefully
still sleeping and in the car yet on the way
to school. Nicole Kidman was so excited when shooting her
erotic drama Baby Girl, that at one point she had
to pause filming. She plays a high powered married company
boss who falls for a kinky young intern. In a
(03:08):
new interview, Nicole said that performing the scenes with this
guy and Antonio benderis as her husband Jacob, was too
much to cope with. Her quote, there was an enormous
amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. There were
times when we were shooting, I was like, I don't
want to blank anymore. Who So it was just a
lot of that and she said, I can't. I need
(03:32):
to rest, don't come near me, don't touch me. All right,
what about this? There is a drug fueled sex offender
tried to pirate Mark Zuckerberg's four hundred foot luxury super
yacht while it was moor than San Diego. A spokesperson
for the Harvard Police said that they received reports of
an individual trespassing on a vessel. Nobody was injured in
(03:55):
investigation is underway. This guy, it remains behind bars. They
caught it and he's being held on twenty thousand dollars bail.
But zuck paid three hundred and twenty five million for
this mega yacht that a Russian oligarch was forced to sell,
and that happened during the pandemic shutdowns. So the boat
named Launchpad, has twelve cabins and accommodations for forty nine crew.
(04:17):
Hella Pat Media Room, Jim Pickleball Court.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Hold on, isn't it crazy they're still pirates? Yes, like
that's a thing that exists.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
So nuts and Snoop Dogg has a special bond with
Michael Boublay. We knew about this bond. Boublay told us
that his six year old daughter is obsessed with Snoop's
music and they play affirmations every day at school, and
now Snoop has talked about it.
Speaker 8 (04:44):
Michael Bublay came to set and he was like, man,
my daughter loves your music and they listen to it
every day. I'm like you lying, and we actually we
sung it together and it just touched me. It was
so adorable that this music that I'm making is really
reaching the kids for the right reasons.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
It's asser how do they can't say?
Speaker 5 (05:01):

side of a building for street and then as you
look across there's a show. Hey, so that is so cool.
Speaker 2 (05:59):

for four point four million dollars? That fifty to fifty ball.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
It's amazing. Yeah, yep, and I thought it was. I
loved it too, Yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
And I do think it's cool that that Fernando mural
was already in the works, you know before, and it
was really it was going to be finished on his
birthday coming up next Friday.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Oh yeah, this would have been his This would have
been his favorite game ever, the Yankees and the Dodgers. Fernando,
we know you're in heaven. There's a growing memorial for
him at Dodger Stadium. Feels good to stop by and
leave something or just say a prayer. A lot of
fans there paying tribute to Fernando.
Speaker 9 (06:41):
I helped does it a lot because we didn't have
a lot of Latinos in what is a baseball community,
and we're big fans of the support of baseball. The
energy he had and the positivity, the positivity he gave
to the to all the players, even if he knew
their language or not, he was still a positive player
with aets totally.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Host one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Talking about the Taylor Swift cruise left court on Monday
full of enthusiastic Swift fans and someone fell overboard. You fall,
I will catch you time after doing everyone, okay, uh no,
oh uh oh okay, we'll get details on that. I'll
(07:46):
put it in love stories.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah no, she's yeah, she's still missing.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
So okay, Yanks, you're the Bahamas. Let's get a happiness
and gone, we need one.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
I got a request for how to handle your shower head,
and I want all of us to really be honest
with each other right now. When was the last time
you de scaled your shower head?
Speaker 1 (08:05):
De scaled?
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Never?
Speaker 1 (08:07):
What are you talking about? My husband's good at that? Okay, okay,
de scaling? So yeah, a rain shower.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Oh okay, Okay, that's a little different because then it
that's is it above you like over your head? Oh okay, yeah,
you probably don't need to tend too much to those.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
It used to be a like a spigot, like a
you know, like a skinny thing.
Speaker 11 (08:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, and then it would always break it ahead that
nozzle that yes, it saw co yeah, and it kept
on that thing got a lot of scales.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah. Okay, So we're talking about d scaling right now,
and the common product is CLR. It's actually super harsh
and bad and it can damage galvanized metals. It ruins
really seals, like if you have like a sealed shower head,
it'll eat away the seal. So just don't use CLR.
That's what we use. Don't do that.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Okay, are you ready? What is that anyway?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Calcium, lime and russ. That's what CLS stands for. So
it breaks down calcium and russ, but it breaks down
everything else. So you take a gall ziploc bag, fill
it with vinegar, put it over your shower head, rubber
band it or clip it on, and let it soak
for an hour. Clean as the day you bought it,
Clean as whistle. Clean is a whistle. And here's a
side note. You take that vinegar in the bag when
you're done, pour it on any weeds outside dead.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Oh my gosh, just here to make it happy.
Speaker 5 (09:19):

Former Abercrombie and Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries was just arrested
on charges of criminal trafficking dating all the way back

allegedly exploiting dozens of young men during extravagant parties at
(09:49):
his Hampton estate. So far, the FBI is nineteen and
John Doe's listed in the suit. They believe there are many,
many more and are urging them to come forward. The
lawsuit alleges Jeffrey would promise the victims they'd be Abercrombie
models in exchange for certain favors. And as a southland

start reproducing rapidly, resulting in millions of cells in every
(11:43):
gallon of water. Testing suggests this red tide bill bloom
is not toxic. No beach closures have been announced. And
what about this was on this day in two thousand

but I think it's talking about money.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Talking about money. That would be just a shutdown, right,
And why are you talking about money on a first date?

for him.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
That would be an amazing thing. On dress, you know,
and I almost feel like it's set in motion, you know,
because he would always look to the sky before he
would pitch. And uh, I think all the Dodgers should
look up at the sky before we begin on Friday.

A report found that employees with unlimited PTO only took
sixteen days off per year. That's just two days more
(23:45):
than those with limited PTO. That said, a lot of
people still love the idea of unlimited part time off.
About one in five would turn down a job if
it did not offer this perk. And it was Lebron
and BRONI making history last night at Crypto daughter son
duo to play together in an NBA game, first game
of the season. We won, all right, Daddy Lebron miked

up before tip off. We grabbed this one on one

Speaker 6 (25:13):
Coast one oh three point five right to Ellen for
advice because she's seen a thing or two.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
She is Ellen. All right, g Linda, we got your letter,
and if you want to write a letter to Ellen,
just go to Coast ONEO three five dot com. Click
on the envelope and it comes right to us. Hi, Ellen,
I need your help with my fiance. We've been engaged
for five years. Getting straight to the point, this man
(25:40):
is cheap. Glinda capitalized that and bolded it. He has
a good job, he makes decent money, so I can't
figure out what went wrong. He rarely wants to go
out to eat. When he does take me out, he
orders and we have to split the salad down the entree.
He insists I order water, and when I don't, his
body language immediately changes. Many times, when we go visit
(26:01):
our families, he has me drive so he doesn't use
his gas. We got engaged early in our relationship. I
didn't realize this about him, but every time I bring
up the wedding, he makes it about money and says
we are not ready financially. By the way he collects
expensive sports merch. I love this man. I would do
anything for him, but this quality drives me crazy. I
(26:24):
wonder if your listeners have any advice for me. Do
I get up and run? Or am I able to
fix him? Thank you for your show. Love it listen
every day Glinda Well, is this a financial thing or
is this a control thing?
Speaker 2 (26:43):
I would be curious to know more about Glinda too, Like,
you don't have to split the salad an entre. You
could buy your own entree.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
But why won't he just let her order what she wants.
Maybe they could even switch on and off. He pays once,
she pays once.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Yeah, I mean, because she's resigning to the fact that
she has to do what he says. Just order you
want the salmon, get the salmon. Don't worry about what
this guy says. Let him get the water.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
He insists, I only order water, and when I don't,
his body language changes because she's going along with it.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, that's a problem.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
I would have a lot of fun doing all the
things he wouldn't want me to do. He says, hey,
you're going to drive because I don't want to use
up my gas. I'd be like, oh, then we're not going.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
The wedding thing is a little concerning. That part does
raise a bit of a flag because if he's not
even if he's like putting a no on the wedding,
that's a different issue than hey, we're taking your car.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
We're not ready financially. By the way, he collects expensive
sports merchandise, and look, she said this at the very beginning.
He has a good job and makes decent money. I
can't figure out what went wrong. It reminds me of
the thirty eight dollar engagement ring that we talked about yesterday.
This guy who makes decent money buys a thirty eight
dollar engagement ring. And then gives it to his fiance
(28:01):
to try and pass it off as reel. So it's
almost like controlling lying. I don't know, I don't know
why you would want another person to do what you
want all of the time. Oh right, And then when
it comes to you know, money, like, can't you just
go out and have a good time?
Speaker 2 (28:21):
She should just like she should go to Vegas is
what she should do?
Speaker 1 (28:25):
You know what, Go to go to the wind Yeah,
go to branch at the wind Reel, go to the club,
order bottle service and just make him watch he'll melt.
We gotta break this guy, Okay, Glinda, okay? Eight hundred
nine nine kost any advice for Glinda? Please let us know.

Three point five and it's Coast one of the point
five will be on K Morning Show. We get your
letters down and we read him every Wednesday. We got
this one from Glinda. Hi Ellen, I need your help
with my fiance. We've been engaged for five years now.
Getting straight to the point, this man is cheap, so
he splits everything at the meals, makes her order water,
(30:21):
has her drive so they don't use his gas, and
he collects expensive sports merch. This is just a lot
of problems in one so anyway, it's good to some here.
It calls Ben who. So Glinda's wondering should she run,
should she try to fix him?
Speaker 7 (30:41):
Ben?
Speaker 1 (30:41):
What do you say?
Speaker 7 (30:43):
Me and me and my partner are both physicians. I spend,
he doesn't, and he's coming my way and I'm going
his way. So we're meeting up in the middle. But
it sounds like this guy is only thinking about himsell. Yeah,
and she's going to be miserable the rest of her life.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
So so wait, so Ben, are you this you're the spender?
So so you say you've met in the middle, So
you've cut back on your spending, do you still secretly
spend it? Just showing him something back?
Speaker 7 (31:15):
I have cut back and he has spent a little more. Okay,
he just took me on a nice trip to Thailand
and cambodiyeh On and it was wonderful. He paid the
whole thing, So he's learning.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Yeah, yeah, you are teaching I love the way you live.
Speaker 7 (31:42):
But it sounds like if he's buying his own things
and not wanting her to get her own. Once you
get married, things just go in that same direction. Yeah.
So she's already worried and they're not even married. She
needs to find her South of Sugar Daddy.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Okay, Ben, that's a good one.
Speaker 7 (32:03):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
It sounds like your partner is a sugar daddy.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
He is.
Speaker 7 (32:11):
He's younger, cuter, and.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I love it all right, Ben, have a great day.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Bye bye, stuff for safe.
Speaker 14 (32:24):
Tuck walks, she sits down. It's just Tuck smiles plainly
back at you. You stirp plaitly right, A.
Speaker 5 (32:38):

Speaker 13 (32:39):

hunts my morning.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
And you enhance ours.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
But being there coast one o three point five coast.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
One of three point five at that concert, and a
big suite, and also the seats that go in front
of the suite. Jason Kelsey was photographed by his teammate
appearing to be sound asleep during Taylor's show Are You
Kidding Me So? Of course, on their podcast New Heights,
(33:08):
Travis had to bust his brother Jason.
Speaker 5 (33:11):
But talk about it.
Speaker 12 (33:11):
You took a nap at the Arrow's tour.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
What is that all about? Travis?
Speaker 12 (33:15):
You know I didn't take a nap.
Speaker 13 (33:16):
I did not take a nap.
Speaker 16 (33:17):
This show is absolutely electric. It's the greatest show that's
ever been on stage. And you're over here falling asleep.
Not only was it the greatest show. But this Miami
show was incredible. It was like on another level. I
text you halfway through it, like, dude, this rain Tay
is killing it.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
So he's claiming that he was just into the music
and that his friend photographed him right at the wrong
moment he was leaning back in his mouth was open,
DC Jewel. That's when you're really nap.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 15 (33:48):
Good Morning, Coast QTS.
Speaker 10 (33:49):
That's my new name for you.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
Coast qties, Coast one O three point five talk stories.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Top three hour, Good Morning of Ellen, K and Kat's
have a profound effect on your physical and mental health.
Are you a cat person's? Cats have lived with humans
for thousands of years, and long before cat memes and
viral tiktoks took over the Internet, they've been comforting us
with their purs and making us laugh with their weird antics.
So researchers did a study. In a study of thousands
(34:18):
of cat owners, half said their cat is family one
and three of you their cat as a child or
best friend. Another study developed family family bondedness a scale
and found cats were just as important part of families
as dogs. Owning a pet's association with less social isolation,
and some cat owners say providing for the cat increases
(34:38):
their feelings of enjoyment, self worth and sense of purpose,
helps your heart and also your mental health. So yeah,
if you have never thought about a cat, maybe it's time.
And if you want to celebrate Dade Los Mortos and
a fitting location, Hollywood Forever Cemetery hosting their twenty fifth
annual festival Saturday. The all day event kicks off at
ten am. Guests are of course encouraged to stay until nightfall.
(34:59):
Tons of live performances, food trucks, and one hundred different altars. Okay,
there's a Fernando Valenzuela mural being painted as we speak
in Boyle Heights's on the side of a building on
First Street. It'll be visible from both sides of the
one oh one. We can celebrate Fernando all the time,
Fernando Mania forever. And as for Game one this Friday,
we know now though the pitching matchup Skipper Dave Roberts
(35:21):
is going with Jack Flaherty while Garrett Cole will start
for a New York And what about this, it's our
warmest day of the week. Valley and inland temps touching
on ninety. We're going to cool a little bit as
seventies expected for Friday and into the weekend. See me Valley,
San Pedro. You're gonna see your highs anywhere between eighty
five and ninety and it's seventy Burbank. We run on
Celsius Energy drinks Kost Los Angeles. It's coast one of
(35:45):
three point five. More of your calls about Glendas. She
wrote a letter to us her fiance super cheap so
cash on coast just ahead, and we honor Fernando coming on.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
Lady l and K Morning Shell.
Speaker 19 (35:58):
You guys do a great job, and thank you for
starting my morning every day.
Speaker 13 (36:02):
I appreciate you all so much.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
Post one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Your calls about Fernando Vealezuela as a part of maybe
your childhood or your adult life family tradition, Fernando leaving
us way too soon in sixty three passing and the
mural being painted right now in Boyle Heights. Fernando is
(36:27):
just always around. Yeah, So Ryan, I know that it's
hit you pretty hard.
Speaker 11 (36:36):
It's a bad time for La and me in particular.
So I was born in eighty one Fernando's rookie season
was eighty one. So from birth until today, when I
go to a Dodger stadium, I wear Fernando jersey. And
as a kid, my parents strapped me up from heagitope
fulled Fernando uniform, like all the way down to the
(36:57):
stirrup socks and everything. I would wear every single time
to go to the Dodger game. And one time when
I was really small, so like a couple of years old,
before the game, we got there early to try to
get autographed and photos and whatnot, and he spotted me
in the crowd and he told my parents, Hey, bring
me down. So there's a photo of me that is
(37:19):
hung in my family's hallway for years and it's Fernando
ar Azuella holding me while I'm in his full uniform
and right there on Dodger Stadium. And so I've had
that forever. And then last year in Azusa, he was
the grand marshal of the parade they had there. So
(37:39):
I went over there and I was like, I got
to meet him. I got to meet him, and I
was lucky enough to meet him, and I had a
photo and I showed him and he was like really
taken back by He autographed it for me and then
a new photo with me holding the photo.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
What a great, great path you've had with Fernando Velezuela.
Speaker 11 (38:01):
It's been awesome being, you know, in with the Dodgers,
with the announcer booth and everything throughout all the years.
He's just gonna be really mess and it was very
sad to hear the news.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Well, thank you for sharing that great memory.
Speaker 11 (38:16):
Ryan, you had no problem. Thanks for having me on.
Speaker 12 (38:19):
Fernando already in the strike two pitch is hit back
to the box, dribbling the second Samuel on the back
cross the first double play. Fernando Valanzuela has pitched a
no hitter at ten seventeen and in the evening of
June the twenty ninth, nineteen ninety. If you have a
(38:41):
Sunbrero brow.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
To the start. There's something in the.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
Start.
Speaker 13 (38:50):
I love him.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
It's the Dodgers are.
Speaker 17 (38:52):

Speaker 16 (38:59):
He's we tell well, Vala drawing everything course.
Speaker 12 (39:06):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Do the same.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Well I.
Speaker 12 (39:21):
Got out little Gil.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
It's the ellen k Morning Show.

When I listen to you, Oh thank.
Speaker 5 (39:30):
You hosts one O three point five every Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
We read your letters to Ellen. Hi Ellen, this is
from Gwenda. I need your help with my fiance. Getting
straight to the point. This man is cheap. Picks what
we eat for dinner and then we have to split it.
Can't order anything more than water. He has me drive
when we visit our family, so we don't use his gas.
By the way, he collects expensive sports merch so they've
(39:56):
been engaged for five years. Glinda, I don't even know
his name, by the way, right Dar, One hundred percent
of all people calling about Glinda's letter are saying the
exact same thing.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Not one person has said, you know what, this is
fine getting.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
I think ben I Lejo had said that he and
his partner husband had compromised. Yeah, so he's the closest
we got to anything like that. It's got a long beach,
all right, Mia late on us.
Speaker 10 (40:32):
I just think he's selfish. I mean I find that,
you know, I have questions is he controlling and manipulative
or is he just not caring with her? It kind
of feels like he's able to buy himself merchandise that's
really expensive. Yes, but I'd wonder how is he with
(40:53):
other people. Does he actually buy other people things or
give things to others with no problem, or does he
buy himself things?
Speaker 12 (41:02):
Like?
Speaker 10 (41:02):
Is he just selfish that way?
Speaker 5 (41:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (41:04):
I'd love to know more about this guy. Uh do
we just know what glind To put in her letter.
It just sounds like he's a control freak and he's
using money with her to be that way. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (41:17):
And I mean like, if he's this way, now, imagine
being married to someone who then would have the right
to want to control your money.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
Hours.
Speaker 10 (41:27):
You know, I would just kind of dodge the bullet
on this if he's being this way already with her
on simple things like what is he going to be
controlling about her later?
Speaker 1 (41:37):
Oh? Yes, yes me, Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Have a great day.
Speaker 10 (41:42):
Okay, thank you you guys too.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
All right, get out?
Speaker 2 (41:48):
What do you think Christmas is going to look like
this year? At their house? Got some taxt.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
And we're gonna split them sometimes.

(43:12):
now in Boyle Heights and you can see it from

so cool, so sad. So many of your childhood memories
today surrounding Fernando. We love hearing your stories and thanks
for all your calls for our letter to Ellen. Glinda
has reached back out to us. She said these were
(43:34):
very helpful. One hundred percent of you said run. She
said her fance is being very cheap, and she spelled

So he collects expensive sports merch and makes her split
entrees at the restaurant. Speaking of expensive more sports merch,
(43:56):
the show hey ball four point nine four point five
four point four million, I mean still at that point? Yeah,
it's half a mill four point four million dollars? Is
the court case over?
