Speaker 1 (00:00):
Your Lovely Day, Monday Top Stories, Top of the Hour,
Good morning of Ellen k. Here we go hours away
from Game three the World Series tonight in the Bronx.
I'm hearing that the workers at Yankee Stadium Martin very
friendly to all of our fans in blue who have
traveled afar to watch.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
But let's go to Game two.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Top of the ninth Saturday Night at the Ravine Chervino.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's a fly ball to center field.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Tommy Edmond is there and the Dodgers like us.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Last series two games shot up.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yeah, we didn't have a scary moment.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
And that one show, Hey dislocating his shoulder on a
slide had to be helped out the field. He flew
separately from the team so he could stay back for scans.
He will be playing tonight, according to manager Dave Roberts.
And what about the World Series ratings? Monster All Caps
Game one drawing the highest TV ratings in five years,
with both games averaging just under fifteen million viewers. All right,
(00:55):
five o eight First pitch tonight on Fox and the
free iHeartRadio app. Take us everywhere you go on your
iHeartRadio app. It is AM five to seventy La Sports
Yanks starting with Clark Schmidt, while Dave Roberts and the
Dodgers are riding with Beuler and American Airlines is testing
new technology in three airports right now. They're trying to
crack down on sneaky people boarding early. Have you ever
(01:16):
snuck in line and try to get on a it's
not really your time to go. There's an audible noise.
If a passenger tries to cut the line, you literally
get shamed. If you scan your boarding pass before it's
your turn, the beap happens. Everyone looks and stares at you,
and you have to get back in line. It's just
a trial right now, but American says they're pleased with
the results so far. They will share with every airline.
(01:36):
Shall this go well? And we welcome the week? Cloudy, cooler,
thirty percent chance of some patchy drizzle, some overnight light
rain in some areas. Temps topping out today around seventy,
same story for tomorrow. Pomona seventy. For your high Pasadena,
you may see eighty and it's sixty five now in Burbank.
We run on Celsius Energy drinks. It's kost Los Angeles Coast.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
One of three point five.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Keep it here. I've got all new surprises for you
all week.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Forty nights of broad Bold.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
Are you ready la Game three tonight go Dodgers from
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
And good morning. It's a lovely day Monday. It's Coast
one o three point five. And look up the weather
in New York City.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Hey, I just did? I just beat you to it?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
What'd you get?
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Forty four degrees currently tonight at game time it will
be fifty degrees.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Okay, that's chilly.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I know it's eight oh eight, but five oh eight here.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Five o eight here, eight oh eight, there will be
fifty degrees. It's funny watching because they got there yesterday
or late, I guess Saturday night, probably into early Sunday morning.
But they were all around the batting cage yesterday with
their like winternit beanies on all.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
I was worried about that. But them they're gonna get
patch of cold. That's what I think as a mom.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
It's true West Coast, East coast stuff. Thanks for joining
us on this lovely day Monday. We have a four
pack of tickets for you to go see the movie
of the year. This is going to be the biggest.
We'll tell you what that is. Plus justin Timberlake and
we're having a big holiday kickoff party at Morongo. Rachel
(03:14):
Platten is your performer and your entertainment and we have
those tickets for you starting today.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
She's here too, I mean not like right now. She's
probably stay. She'll be here.
Speaker 7 (03:27):
All right.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
So we were at a dodgerd a dinner party on
Saturday evening, watching the game with the sound down pretty
low so we could all talk and all this stuff.
And it was very exciting, as you know. And Ryan,
I know you're at a party. I was, and Darlene
were you watching the game at home?
Speaker 6 (03:42):
I was working, Oh you were working pis Latina and
it was intense. A lot of Spanish words have evolved
through the years, so I was tying to catch them all.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Darlene's the bleeper for all the festivals.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
First in line, and if I didn't, then I gave
the girl that was second in line the heads up
and said listen out for blank.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Uh huh, and we got him. Okay, good, get good.
It was a lot live broadcasting. You know. The bleeping
is important. And you only get something like seven or
eight seconds I think to catch it.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
And the thing was, there was a Dodger screen in
the studio over and I was tortured because I just
kept hearing people screamha.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
But I couldn't.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
I was too focused. So I'm glad they won, and
I'm glad Show he's better.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, he was. Separately, he stayed back
for his scan and uh and Dave Roberts said that
it's the back of the shoulder on his left side.
He's not worried at all and that he's icing it
and everything's gonna be fine. Show Hey will be in
the game.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
You ever dislocate anything.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I've dislocated a shoulder before. It's so painful.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I feel like it takes a.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Long time to heal.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
You do, Yeah, I feel.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Like it takes a long time, just because you use
your shoulders a lot more than you think.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
It Wasn't it recent when you were working out right?
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, I was doing pull ups and it popped so.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And your bone was sticking out.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
He was actually very concerning.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I didn't have a Dodger athletic team to pop it
back in.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Some people I've seen just like, we'll go up against
a wall and I know it, just.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Like throw themselves into it.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
I think that's probably a pretty good remedy. But we
were at the game, and you know, after we won,
one of the guys there and we were all dressed up.
I went as a unicorn. My husband didn't dress up.
But there's another guy who went as a Dodger. He
was Dave Roberts, and he was like, I got tickets
for game six.
Speaker 8 (05:30):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
He's looking right at my husband. Bro, let's go. You're
my plus one season ticket holder.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
And I'm like, was the guy hammered? Was he overserved?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
No, he wasn't overserved. He was just excited. Oh okay,
And so my husband does not hesitate. He goes, I'm in, Well,
guess what what that's our wedding anniversary.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Sorry honestly, that's your wedding anniversary gift to your husband.
Sorry y'all.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
But he didn't even hesitate.
Speaker 9 (05:57):
I know it.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Nor should he have?
Speaker 10 (05:59):
No?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
WAITU whro.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
And no, it's going to beat?
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I mean, shouldn't he be at least acted?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
No?
Speaker 5 (06:17):
No, here's Ellen's lighting to third.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
You're out?
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Oh no, oh I have been.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I've been relegated to the back, back seat, back of
the bus. Back off the bus, off the plane. All right,
well where I have funny Game six? Should there be one?
I mean I would have at least waited to beat No.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Oh, that's right.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
I made dinner reservations for my wife for our anniversary.
But he was just like.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
Coast one or three boy five K Morning Show stream
us on the iHeart Radio the l.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
K Morning Show post one oh three point by, Hi,
good morning.
Speaker 10 (07:10):
Good morning.
Speaker 11 (07:12):
Who's this?
Speaker 3 (07:14):
This is Teresa.
Speaker 10 (07:15):
How are you this morning?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Pay Teresa?
Speaker 11 (07:17):
We're good.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
How are you Ryan?
Speaker 4 (07:18):
I'm great, Yeah, especially for a Monday. I'm excited Ryan.
Game three tonight. Good morning, Teresa, and congrats, thank you.
Speaker 10 (07:25):
You know when I woke up today, of course, the
first thing I do is turn on one oh three
point fine, thank you, and then I want it Christmas
something festive, pride festive for Christmas. I love Christmas.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Well, and you just got one red one only in
theaters November fifteenth, but you got a four pack to
see an advanced screen you see before everyone else. Their
whole thing is like Christmas has a new crew, and
there are like electrified reindeers and a fast sled and JK. Simmons.
Speaker 10 (07:54):
I love it, well, love it. I really appreciate you guys,
Thank you so kindly.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
It's the morning sells abroad, all right, bild, here we go, Dodgers,
let's beat the Yankees. Coach one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Good morning. I had a great day. So we headed
into our last week of October. Halloween on Thursday, Happy
birthday to our Verio Nick Colliochini. If you're a Halloween baby,
we honor you as well. Then November first, all kinds
of things happening. We are your official holiday music station.
(08:32):
Happiness hacks for you every morning at this time.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Trick or treat strategy. Let's talk about it. Okay, would
you guys stay out for hours and hours as kids
just roaming? Oh yeah, I feel like it's changed quite
a bit though. Right it's now you get what five?
I think it starts four thirty or five in most places.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
Got to do that.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
But here's the thing, don't don't delay. Okay. A new
poll has found that the majority of homes kind of
like when you have a party, you bring out the
good wine first, and then as the night goes on,
it's the bad wine. Most people put out their best
candy first. So if you don't want to get stuck
with like I don't know where there's original and candy.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Corner, you love where there's a candy corn?
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Okay, then go later on, will go early? You're the
only one. Also, what did you used to take or
Calvin even? What do your kids take as the receptacle?
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Oh, we've done everything from a plastic pumpkin, which I
don't really like those no hold a lot, to a
to a pillowcase to a king sized pillowcase.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Okay, good, you're on the right track. Science did the
measurements pillowcases hold twice as much as plastic grocery bags,
which I guess some people take, and three times as
much as your average plastic orange pumpkin.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Oh, grab that pillow case, it needs a handle.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
This this morning show money chill, bony show, bum choe.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
The Lank Morning Show on Coast one oh three point five.
It's the l and K Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
Is the world series. Let's go Dodgers? Who from Coast
one O three point five?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Hither Jason, Hey, Good morning, Ellen, Good morning Jason. Lahabra,
how's Lahabra this morning?
Speaker 12 (10:08):
A little Glooby and cool by nice.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
All right, well, welcome to a lovely day Monday. You
want to know what kind of holiday plans we have
this week?
Speaker 10 (10:17):
Yeah, yeah, please wondering what kind of prices you're going
to have and what promotions you'll be doing.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Let's start with the man we just heard, Nick Pauliochini.
It's his birthday on Halloween, and we have a big
haunted house here that one of our coworkers builds every year.
So we're gonna be honoring Nick and running through the
house trick or treating all that stuff. We also have
Rachel plattin. It's our holiday kickoff party at Morongo, and
we start your ticket giveaways this week. In fact, this
(10:46):
morning at eight thirty your chance to win your way in.
Speaker 9 (10:49):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
The Red One is a holiday movie starring Dwayne Johnson
and Chris Evans, and we have four packs to that.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
Let's see Friday. I know Friday is going to be
a festive Friday. Mariah Careyes at Hollywood Bowl and we'll
have your tickets all day Friday just to see Mariah.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
And she'll be on the show with us, the Queen
of Christmas.
Speaker 12 (11:09):
Huh, that's great, you're great. Oh, thank you I love
your show. I love to do you guys play.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Have a beautiful day.
Speaker 9 (11:17):
Oh are you too? Thank you?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Lovely day, Thank you you.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Also, it's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Are you ready?
Speaker 9 (11:24):
La?
Speaker 5 (11:25):
Game three tonight? Go Dodgers from Coast one O three
point five.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Top Stories, Top of the hour. A good morning, Am
Ellen K. And with filming in LA being down almost
fifty percent and a decade after the last major overhaul
of our film and TV tax credits program, Governor Newsom
today will unveil a massive increase in the incentives to
jumpstart work and production here in Hollywood. In an announcement
this afternoon at Raleigh Studios, the Governor will reveal it
(11:51):
he aims to boost the state's tax credits from their
present level of three hundred and thirty million a year
tround seven hundred and fifty million annually. And what about this?
We can't wait for Game three of the World Series
tonight in the Bronx. What a thrilling weekend it was,
as you know up two. Oh, Freddie Freeman just such
a hero, uh slamming them in and after the wins,
(12:12):
Freddie giving all the credit to one person, his dad.
Speaker 13 (12:15):
You know, he's been throwing me baging practice since I
could remember. My swing is because of him, my approach
is because of him. I am who I am because
of him. And that's mostly his moment because he didn't
throw me baying practice. So even if he didn't love
the game of baseball, I wouldn't be here, you know,
playing playing this game. So that's fred Freeman's moment right there.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Oh yeah, Fred and Freddy, Oh and we love this too.
Freddie eats and drinks free for life, and that's happening
at La Kocheka. They said free shots for every home run.
We talked about that on Friday, and now they are
giving Freddy free eats and drinks if we have I
posted in our blog all right, five away, first pitch
tonight on Fox and our free iHeartRadio app Yanks will start.
(12:54):
Clark Schmidt, Dave Roberts and the Dodgers are riding with
Walker Buehler. And it's been one years since Matthew Perry passed.
The home that he died in has been sold for
eight and a half million dollars. We miss you, Matthew Perry,
and that chapter with that home now closed, and as
we said, it's first National First Responder's Day. So if
(13:14):
you're a first responder, we love to hear from you
and honor you here on the air. It's going to
be a nice day today, kind of on the cool side.
We have some reports of a little bit of patchy drizzle,
but that should clear by the afternoon. Time's topping out
today around seventy Fuller tip is seventy, Fontana sixty five
and it is sixty five in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles.
It's Coast one of three point five and coming up.
(13:37):
We're sending you to see justin Timberlake. Keep it here
to win.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
It's the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Oh my god, you guys are amazing. You make my day,
You make my morning, and I love you all.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Happy holiday season. Here from Coast one of three point five.
We're the Ell Kay Morning Show. Thanks for having us
on and being with us. We got justin Timberlake tickets
coming up with your Ellen KQ and a great weekend.
I'll that Dodger Energy b d E Big Dodger Energy.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
I'm Ellen, I'm Ryan Social Queen Darley.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
My husband is going to Game six for there be
a Game six. That's also our wedding anniversary. We were
at a party Saturday. It's a dinner party and it
wasn't even a big dinner party with the Dodgers on
when they won. A gentleman whose name I will not give,
on the air said, oh, brow, let's go. I've got
season tickets. My wife. His wife is a she's that town.
(14:35):
She's a costumer and she's on a movie set in
a Buddha pest.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Oh nice.
Speaker 9 (14:38):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
So he's like, I'm he's living single and my husband
didn't hesitate, and he said, I'm in So I'll be
alone on my wedding anniversary. No, I won't even be alone.
Well I will. I'll be with my dogs in sweats,
watching the game on TV.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
If there's a if there's a game six.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
What do you think, Ryan, do you think he'll be
a Game six? I do?
Speaker 4 (15:03):
I do. Yeah. So your issue is not that he's
going necessarily even on your wedding anniversary. It's the lack
of hesitation. What what's what's your what's your what's got
your crawl over this?
Speaker 1 (15:15):
I think it's both. It's it's that he didn't hesitate,
and this is just after he said, oh, I made
dinner reserations for Saturday, and let's go and and all
that stuff. It's November second, and that will be game six.
And then it was it was as if we'd never
had the conversation. And I just wonder, is this normal, darlinge,
does this ever happen to you?
Speaker 14 (15:34):
No?
Speaker 2 (15:34):
But I would be Roy in this case.
Speaker 15 (15:36):
Oh thanks, thanksus. You're gonna have more anniversaries coming up. Okay, well,
but I guess it, yeah, I guess it was just
you're right, Ryan. To that point, it was so fast.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Look at it this way. Roy does a lot, and
you know he's always thoughtful of you and Calvin, and
maybe you know this year for his anniversary, your anniversary,
you could say, Roy, my gift to you is to
not complain about your eagerness to leave me stranded on
our anniverse.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
That's right, that's true. Just take his credit guard and
go to dinner. Then I could just you know, take
a friend or something. Yeah, all right, but we love
your talkbacks as well. Dodge off Viva, but we're following
up on the Frugal Fiance. We got so many calls
and talkbacks about our letter to Ellen last week this
(16:23):
fiance of five years is being really, really, really frugal
and cheap. Should she run or should she stay? And
this came from Glenda, So Dennis left us this talk back.
Speaker 9 (16:38):
Hi, I'm calling about that lady that has the quote
frugal fiance, Run, run as fast as you can, because
once you're married, what else is he going to control?
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Thank you, Dennis. That's very true, and that's what I
would say. Ninety nine percent of all people said run.
You know he's making you split the entree to save money.
All right. Ron has a theory about the World Series.
It's your talkbacks.
Speaker 12 (17:14):
How much revenue is brought in by these games? The
Dodgers against the New York.
Speaker 10 (17:22):
I don't think that they're gonna win every one of
them right in a row.
Speaker 7 (17:27):
I think that they'd lose too much money, so they're
gonna splait it out all the way to the end.
Speaker 16 (17:33):
I think it's.
Speaker 12 (17:34):
Fixed, fixed, fixed.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
I disagree. I do not think it's fixed, Ron, Thank
you for the talkback. But fixed how I mean.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
If the umps were in on it. But it's just
there's too much you can't do. It's not fixed.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah, right, that's like saying you can get away with
murder in twenty twenty fo.
Speaker 17 (17:54):
My parents believe the same thing. They think too, Yeah,
they think Vegas seven games. Vegas is pain paying but
paying who like? I want to know the masterminds? So
so are all the coaches and umps getting together saying okay, guys,
this is how it's gonna go.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
Coaches wouldn't be involved because their killer instinct to win
is too strong. It would say.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
It would be paid off bye.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
By somebody, by the league. Maybe they come to them.
There's a lot of TV revenue at Steak. Like Ron said,
I don't believe it, but that's how it would go down.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Okay, I just think it's silly.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah, all right, what do you think?
Speaker 1 (18:33):
You can talk back to us anytime on our free
iHeartRadio app and keep it here. We're sending you justin Timberly.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Coming up more feel good is coming up on the
L and K Morning Show. Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
It's the L and K Morning Show. I wake up
to your station, I work out to your station.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
I listened to it throughout the day, and I go
to bed listening to it.
Speaker 18 (18:52):
Thank you for all that you do.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
You guys are absolutely the best.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
But when YANGASNL went as a Silica path and really
got a lot of attention, A lot of celebrities side
dressing up over the weekend and we just have a
whole week of Halloween. I love having Halloween this Thursday
because every single day you could dress up, do whatever
you want.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
It's a free for all.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
And Ryan, your happiness hack this morning was amazing.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Well, it's about your trick or treat strategy. So a
new pole finds that everyone sets out the good candy,
their best stuff first. It's kind of they said, think
like when you're at a party and people serve wine,
you don't start with like the cheap wine. You start
with the good wine. As the night gets a little older,
then we bring out this stuff that you know, maybe
not a fan favorite. Also, pillowcases hold three times more
(19:44):
candy than those weird little orange buckets, which are great
and traditional and you know, nostalgic. But if you're good
going for the big hall pillowcase it.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
I tell you those buckets they need to work in
their handle game, because I can't even count how many
hellow we'd have Calvin with his bucket and then we'd
get to have you the handle would break and then
you end up holding it like a fish bowl. And
then you transition to the pillowcase anyway, Like I would
always throw it in the trunk just in case, or
I'd have some kind of like dry cleaning bag or
(20:14):
something in there, just because I knew that the pumpkin
was cute, like you said, for a photo. But then
you gotta go, you gotta go, You gotta go hardcore.
Something's going to last.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Yeah, maybe a pillowcase with handles. Yeah, could we cut
handles into a pillow you?
Speaker 9 (20:28):
Yeah, you could. Could you do that?
Speaker 4 (20:30):
But you're right on the orange bucket. That handle, that
plastic on there is it's not ergonomic either. It it hurts. Yeah,
you're right, like a hard sharp plastic.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
So pillowcases they hold three times as much candy. We
know there are a lot of kids in cars listening
right now. Grab your pillowcase, get one from your mom
or dadu an old one that you don't use anymore,
and fill that thing up. All right, We're gonna send
you to justin Timberlake with your llen KQ and A.
We asked the question first collar with the right answer
ghosts the last thing a man wants to do on
(20:59):
a dat?
Speaker 14 (20:59):
Is this?
Speaker 18 (21:01):
So?
Speaker 12 (21:01):
What is that?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
This is the last thing a man wants to do
on a date? Eight hundred nine nine Kost. We're going
to get your guesses for justin Timberlake tickets and we'll
get him next.

just released. Rachel, Welcome. I am so happy to be
with you, so happy to see you.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
This music, you say, is kind of like the flip
side of your last album. This is I Am Rachel Platinum.
It's like every facet of you.
Speaker 18 (27:02):
Yeah, it really feels like I'm fully introducing myself to
the world. Whereas you know, it's kind of funny because
you might have thought one might have thought, well, wouldn't
fight song have been your introduction? And in many ways
it was, but like I feel like it was just
one side of me that people.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
Got to know.
Speaker 18 (27:19):
And I'm human and I'm not always just empowered and
like confident and you know, fist in the air, excited,
and I've been through a lot the past ten years,
as I you know, I talk about in the album,
and I've talked about really publicly, and so I've been
through a lot and so this album I kind of
think is my proper introduction to the world because it
shows all of.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Me, right, you know, all of my men, every side.
Speaker 9 (27:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Is that scary for you?
Speaker 11 (27:43):
What terrifying?
Speaker 9 (27:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (27:46):
It kind of so scary, yo, I deal with a
lot of Yes. Yeah.
Speaker 18 (27:53):
It took a lot to get ready to release it,
you know, because it was These are often journal entries.
A lot of the songs are deeply personal and they
are literally sometimes tear stained journal entries that I just
put into song.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
So your pay per journal not E journal or e both.
Speaker 18 (28:08):
No, No, I'm a pay per journal for sure.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 18 (28:10):
I realized that I bottled a lot up as a
kind of like constant people, please are okay, hyper vigilant
watching everyone in the room, are you okay?
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Okay?
Speaker 18 (28:19):
And like I bottled that up for years and so
part of what I've learned to do in my journaling
is to be the most raw, ugly form of.
Speaker 11 (28:26):
Myself and let it all out.
Speaker 18 (28:29):
But I ripped them up after and I thought I
throw them away.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Yeah yeah, Rachel, And we also want to thank you
so much for performing at our Coast Holiday kickoff party
with Rachel Platten at Marongo. This is gonna happen Sunday,
November seventeenth. And also there's a beautiful cause attached.
Speaker 18 (28:46):
Yes, one that's really close to my heart. It's called
Inspiring Children Foundation, and it's actually Jules Foundation, and Juel
is a close friend of mine and her friend Ryan
runs the foundation. It is in it helps children that
really struggle with mental health and other stuff and just
find their voice, find their strength, teaches them skills like
(29:07):
life skills that honestly adults need like meditation and how
to overcome any kind of trauma and stuff with support.
It gets them into top colleges from what might be
seemingly a hopeless position and like it's just an it's
an amazing foundation. So I'm really proud to partner with them,
and I'm.
Speaker 8 (29:27):
Really excited to play. Yeah, yeah, yes, I cannot wait.
Speaker 18 (29:30):

How the whole city's going blue? Pinks turn blue for
the Dodgers. Western Bagel, the bagel Brad, their mascot just
came by with some blue bagels.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
So their championship bagels.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
I mean, come on, Brooklyn brags about their bagels. New
York Yankees probably live on them. But no, because out
here on the best coast, the West Coast, we perfected
them all right. So it's gonna be fat Joe tonight
opening Game three, very New York. You know, Joe cracked
(34:48):
at the dawn. What's love got to do with it?
Lean Back? We would play some of him, but his
lyrics have to be so censored that we can't do
that to ourselves, or do you here.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
On coast to settle for the instrumental of lean back?

Else will win Ellen anytime a team goes up to
nothing in the series. They've won seventy seven of the
last ninety two World Series.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Stats don't lie. It's my daddy's math scientist. He'd be
right there saying, let's call Vegas.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, Game three five o eight, first pitch show, he's okay.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
It was almost day. In nineteen eighty one, the Dodgers
won the World Series against the Yankees nine to two
in Game six, and here we go Game three.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
I want to go back to that clip in eighty
one really quick too.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Yeah, so little listen I could.
Speaker 4 (37:01):
I could listen to it a loop, but listen to
how the excitement has changed through the years.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
It's from nineteen eighty one.
Speaker 9 (37:10):
Right here we go.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
He's very straightforward.
Speaker 19 (37:13):
Watson hits him high in the air. Well, the center
fielder Canlandro, this should do it. The Dodger, well, the
nineteen eighty one champions of baseball.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Did he not want to sound partial?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
I mean, I mean it's a World.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Champions Series, dude.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
Freddie Freeman, Oh that walk off. Then he gives all
the credit to his dad. Let's go around the world.
This is what the French did when that happened.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
That Freeman s let me not say, so, you're losing
their voice should be. Where is that Freddy? Freddie Freeman
gets free food and drink for the rest of his life.
Speaker 6 (38:01):
Yes, the li Public Library said, any book and organic juice.
Dude said, any juice you want free on the house forever.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
And the place that gives free shots is giving him
free food and shots for the rest of his life.
La conchita, Yes, yes, yeah, Park, that's right.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Oh my gosh, he's our literal Freeman.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Now let's go to Japan.
Speaker 14 (38:31):

Speaker 1 (38:31):
We have cameras live in every Japanese bar and sports bar.

the hour A good morning, I'm Ellen K hours away.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Game three All right, what a thrilling weekend it was?
In case you missed it, start with Freddy Freeman making
history in the tenth on Friday.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
HiT's abroad right bad said, good.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Daddy made Freddy game more.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Love, sirs, I walk off Grand Slam and I'll Never
get old was the first to have any World Series ever.
And when Joe Davis said, Gilby, meet Freddy, he was
referring to a similar walk up by Kirk Gibson in
Game one of the nineteen eighty eight Fall Classic, happening
at the exact same time and both doing it with
severely injured ankles, just an unreal parallel. After the win,
(39:47):
Freddy gave all the credit to one person, his daddy.
Speaker 13 (39:50):
Yeah, he's been throwing me back practice since I could remember.
My swing is because of him, my approach is because
of him. I am who I am because of him.
And that's mostly his moment because he didn't throw me
back practice, So Eve didn't. If you didn't love the
game of baseball, I wouldn't be here, you know, playing
this game. So that's Fred Freeman's moment right here.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Ah, Yes, Fred, We love you, Fred, and all the cheering.
If you ever have the game on just in the background,
you just feel good hearing it. It's a hearable, feelable
waves of sound that actually enter your body and make
everything work better. They give you more happiness, more resilience,
depression beaters, So whenever you can listen to that sound
(40:27):
to cheering. It's good for you, all right, So Yanks
starting Clark Schmidt this evening. Dave Roberts and the Dodgers
are riding with Walker Buehler just ahead. As you know,
daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday this Sunday, two am.
So as you go to bed on Saturday, we're going

of sleep. It's going to get darker earlier. And we

the way to take the high road. I got to
talk back Laura.
Speaker 22 (42:06):

forty three years. Girl, you need to go to that

Speaker 22 (42:23):

got connections, do it girl?
Speaker 1 (42:27):
Well two things, Laura, and thank you for that. Number one,
I don't have connections for Game six and number I
mean I do, but not really because they're already gone.
But number two, I'm not invited. They don't want me
