Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are the only k Morning Chum. It's Coast. One
of three thweenty five Big Big Night, Music's Biggest night
only CBS coming up to Sunday. So many huge acts, collaborations, appearances, presenters.

(00:20):
We go live now to the Belly of the Beast.
Talk to executive producer Ben Winston. All right, Ben, so
we know there are going to be a lot of
Grammy surprises. You can't tell us all of them, but
what can you tell us about the Grammys.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Well, I think it's going to be a really amazing night.
I think there's some incredible music performances that we've got planned,
really phenomenal from people who've burst onto the scene this year,
like Sabrina Carpenter and Chapel Rowan from LA's Fine. It's
like Billie Eilis, who seems like Jesus Brammy's icon and
then you remember she's only twenty three, but music that

(00:59):
feels like it's timeless. We have some incredible artists that
we haven't yet announced but are or you know, we're
going to tell you about them and as we get
closer to the weekend. And then there's also, of course,
you know, addressing and dealing with the tragedy that we've
all seen in Los Angeles with the wildfires, and you know,

(01:20):
both doing a little bit of fundraising for that and
do a little bit of good, but also paying tribute
to this great city of ours and celebrating it somewhat too.
And I think all of those elements will come together
on Sunday night for a real, spectacularly exciting show.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
It sounds, it sounds heartwarming, and I love the way
the community is coming together and our music artists. I mean,
I cried so hard when I saw Diane Warren's place
burned to the ground in Malibu where she wrote all
those amazing songs, and you know, just so many artists displaced.
So it's going to be emotional and amazing. You mentioned
as we get closer to the weekend, and I saw

(02:00):
something in the press this morning that said that he
was rumored to be possibly on your show.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Oh I did not see that.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
We would also like to know what song is Bob
Dylan performing? Just a few of the things floating out there?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Ben, So what's out there right now? Sorry? Is that
Bob Dylan? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:29):
This is what's out there this morning? Okay, So it
says Beyonce and Taylor Swift and a very special secret
guest could be Bob Dylan, maybe Drake or the Weekend
will break their boycott or the Grammys, And who's bigger
right now than Beyonce and Taylor Swift. It would have
to be Bob Dylan. That's what this article says.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Okay, well even my wife wouldn't know. So that's a
great article. That's a great article. Now listen, you know
what I We did reach out to Bob Dylan. Actually
this year we did. We reached out to Bob Dylan,
and we did. I did have an idea that I

(03:13):
wanted him to do. I'll be honest. We never heard back,
but you never know, maybe I'll just show up and
do it.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yes, I heard.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
He's that kind of guy too, exactly exactly, So you
never know. We've got some great things planned. And part
of the reason we keep surprises back like that is.
Part of it is because we want to keep people excited.
The part of it is because it isn't confirmed yet. Yeah,
part of it as well. It's like, you know, people
think that these things are all locked up with weeks ago.

(03:43):
It's just not the way it works. So but yeah,
we'll be working right up to the last minute to
make sure that the show's as good as it can.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
We'll be watching Ben CBS on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Can't wait. Thank you so much. Guy's nice to speak to.

Speaker 1 (03:56):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
