Joey Fatone is now a spokesman for Red Lobster. They
were going for Timberlake, couldn't get him to say, you

That was nothing.

Speaker 8 (06:27):
Guys, We're gonna brag today, and I know that sounds
like self serving and I'm not trying to make you
feel uncomfortable by having to brag. But new science out
today says bragging is a really good thing. So if
something happens to you, whether your kid gets an A
on a test, or you got a raise, or something good, anything,
it could be anything, tell somebody about it. And and
science finds that it feels twice as thrilling as if
(06:47):
we kept it to ourselves. Why is because it makes
your good fortune more prominent in your brain because you've
brought it up right like you you're you've exposed it
and it's out there. And so just like subconsciously and psychologically,
we feel better about ourselves and we're happier throughout the
day if we just brag it just a tiny brag,
like not like obnoxious.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Do you want us to get braggadocious?
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Go ahead, ell and bragg.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Okay, I fixed the fountain at our house by myself.
I went to home depot, I bought the concrete seal. Yeah,
because it was leaking, so the water wasn't going up
and coming down, it was just going down.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
And I let it dry.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
I got a little impatient with the drying, but in
less than twenty four hours.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I flipped that switch.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
I fixed the fountain I find around the house. If
I'm going to dig in a little deeper, I'm very handy.
I can fix things amazing.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I can do it.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I'm proud of you. Thank you, great brag.
Speaker 12 (07:38):
I love bragging. I feel like it's a moment of gratefulness.
And I'll be happy if my daughter puts her shoes
on correctly. Down to yesterday, my three year old finished
like an early start program. It wasn't even TK, It's
like before TK. Yeah, and he has a long way
to go, but I made him wear his cap everywhere,
his graduation cap, wherever we went the whole day.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Can congratulate it's ray. Yes, that's a really great brag.
Speaker 13 (08:03):
I do not like to brag too much, but I
mean you're asking so I can braid my daughter's hair
like no other.
Speaker 10 (08:10):
Oh.
Speaker 13 (08:11):
I can do the halo braids. I can do the
waterfall braid. I can do all kinds of the French
braide raid. Yeah, two girls, another ten minutes.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Oh brag All right, Ryan, go ahead, Flora is yours?
Speaker 8 (08:26):

aesthetic is swimming right into fashion too. Think beaded sardine bags,
sardine print dresses, earring shaped like fins and tins, and it.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Doesn't stop there.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Home decor is also sardine themed, so it is your
sardine summer. It's also National Solitaire Day. So if you
love to say play solitaire, but you're with someone else,
do what I do with my son on a plane.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
We race each other and play side by side. And

Thank you.
Speaker 11 (22:10):
I'm so happy to get to talk to people.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Yeah, well we got this talk back. I want you
to hear it.
Speaker 15 (22:15):
Hi, Ellen and Ryan, I'm doing a talkback here to Coast,
and I just want to talk about my annoying mother
in law. She's wonderful sometimes, but honestly, she's recently widowed,
and she goes everywhere with us, and she goes on
every date, everything we do. I'm with my mother in
law and everything is just starting to annoy me, even
(22:40):
the way she choose. I don't want to offend my husband,
but I just can't take it anymore, all.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Right, So I don't know what you do in that case.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I would think you should talk to the husband first
and then maybe see if you can create space.
Speaker 11 (22:56):
Sometimes I think what happens in these situations is you
see a little bit of a triangle, a triangulation between
the husband, his wife, and his mother. Oh so he
could be a little pulled between, you know, a loyalty
to his mom and a need for intimacy with his wife.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Well, because I married a mama's boy, and Ryan, you're
a mama's boy, proudly, probably proudly, oh proudly. So I
always always, from the minute we started dating, I've always
looked at my mother in law as not my mother
in law. But this is my husband's mom right, and
(23:38):
that is her son and I have a son now,
so it's like full circle. I would want to treat
my mother in law the way I hope that my
son's partner will treat me one day when he falls
in love and has a wife. So I'm always super
respectful of her no matter what right.
Speaker 11 (23:56):
The thing is is all couples, they have a need
for privacy and autonomy and a shared couple space. But
then there's also a place for the larger family dynamic.
I guess that two things can be true at once.
One is that we need our privacy in our autonomy,
and we also really appreciate family. We also really appreciate
(24:17):
having them around and they're not mutually exclusive.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure that's going to help a lot,
because I didn't like the line where she said even
the way she choose bothers me.
Speaker 11 (24:30):
Yeah, when I hear that, what I'm hearing is maybe
some pentoff resentment, maybe some things that had been going
on for years, because typically it's not actually the way
somebody choose, it's something you know, it comes out as annoying,
said the chewing, but it's really maybe about how she's
been feeling for a long time.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah, yeah, right right, sal Eater.
Speaker 8 (24:51):
I knew it was over when I heard her eat
cereal and it just sounded different that morning, and I
was like, this is a bigger issue than the cereal.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
I can't La wakes.

The one word women use when they're not interested. This
is a dating expert named Blane. I've been dying to
share this with you, and I believe that what Blaine
says and what you're about to hear very true.
Speaker 17 (28:00):
The word is busy. Sorry I've been so busy lately,
or sorry I've been super busy at work this week.
The truth is we make time for the things that
are important to us, and she's saying you're not important
enough for her. Don't waste any more time, move on
and find a girl who makes you a priority.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
It's so true. Busy, It's the B word. Busy.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Yeah, so that is that one word that women use
when they're not interested.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Oh so busy makes a lot of sense. What are
you doing today? By the way, do you want to
go to lunch at Phiney's.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
With I'm way too busy Phineas. All right, Your tough
stories are next? Are you a ghost worker?
Speaker 1 (28:42):
I'll tell you the latest with a Ditty trial as well,
and an anchor's water breaks live on the air.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
She keeps on going. Tough stories.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Post one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
Top Stories Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm Ellen
k and Day nine in the federal trial of Sean Ditty.
Combs kicks off with continued testimony from Ditty's former assistant,
George Kaplan. That's his name, and yesterday he told the
jury that he was expected to work one hundred hours
a week.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Can you imagine, he says?
Speaker 17 (29:25):
Did?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
He paid him one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars
a year, but put him in dangerous situations like daily
drug runs to an ecstasy dealer. Kaplyn touched on Ditty's
violent temper, once threatening his life because he picked up
the wrong item from a store. When Kaplan wraps his testimony, wrapper,
kit Cutty will take that stand and are you a
ghost worker?
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Ghost working?
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Basically, you're on the clock, but you're just pretending to
be busy. There's a brand new survey by a Resume Now.
It reveals it nearly sixty percent of respondents regularly pretend
to be working. But how Twenty five percent walk around
the office with a notebook, twenty percent type nonsense on
their keyboards, about fifteen percent of us pretend to be
on the phone, and fifteen percent just keep spreadsheets open
(30:07):
on their screens while.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Browsing other stuff. Maybe you're a ghost worker. And what
about this. There's an anchor whose water broke live on
the air, but she went on anywhere.
Speaker 6 (30:16):
We do have some breaking news this morning.
Speaker 7 (30:19):
Literally Livia's water has broke and she is anchoring the
news now.
Speaker 6 (30:25):
In active labor, early labor, early labor.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
She kept on going way to go and thankfully our
high pressure system has weekend that means today won't be
as hot as expected, but we're still going to see

that's when you find out who you really are.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
That's when you're like, Okay, I can do this. That
was nothing. Is that as far as I'm going to fall, well,
I can. I can keep going then, and that's what
makes you build the grit and the heart the strength
for you to keep pushing.

Speaker 10 (33:15):
Heard you think you're talking to So kiss on three?
So when you go to four, do we kiss or
do we kiss on two? She said kiss on three?
So maybe when she says five one, two, three, four
five and then kiss, she said kiss on three, So
maybe three kisses? Maybe we put three kisses on Ellen?
(33:36):
Do I kiss Ellen three times? I'm not understanding the
rules in this situation.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Ellen.
Speaker 10 (33:45):
You said kiss on three, kiss on me? So do
I kiss you three times? Just sell me, cause three
could be five.
