They came together.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Across the board. Okay, So try this, okay, with your
very loud at an eleven partners as you go home. Okay,
whisper together. A new study finds that couples who talk
in the lowest voices to each other it's not just
one of you, you have to do it together. It's
like a couple exercise, all right, they just bring it down.
The couples that do that are happiest. It makes the
person feel really good when they hear that, and it

(07:33):
makes them feel more loved. So you're going to get
the return flow from them, just at a whisper.

Speaker 1 (07:38):

starting today, Wendy's is serving a Wednesday Adams inspired meal

(08:36):

her nuggets the rest in Peace Nuggets, the Kursed and
Crispy Fries, Raven's Blood Frosty. The kids were delighted, but
the four hours it was really really long. She'll be

I'm social queen Darling.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Not producing my grandmos.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, so here we go, Gigi says, dear Ellen, I
really need advice before I lose my mind or my marriage.
My husband and I are empty nesters and have been
planning a summer vacation to Belize for about a year.
That sounds nice, it does. It was supposed to be
our chance to unwind and enjoy each other away from
everyday life. A week ago, his machine manufacturing plant that

(11:02):
we own landed a big contract with a quick deadline.
So now he's telling me he has to bring his
assistant along to help him oversee the project, or we'll
have to cancel Belize. My heart sank Amber. His assistant
is young and attractive and single. Everyone who meets her
loves her, especially men. I understand the deadline and the
big urgent contract. It's a lot of money, but I

(11:24):
can't shake this uncomfortable feeling. Maybe it's her flirty charisma.
Maybe it's the fact that he sees nothing wrong with
bringing her on our dream vacation. He told me, make
a choice vacation with Amber along and avoid expensive cancelations,
or cancel our getaway and take the fines. I don't
be a jealous wife, But I also don't want to
be naive. What should I do? Gigi? Huh, sounds like

(11:49):
he's got the ultimatum, sounds like, you know, some big business.
Sounds like the assistant's pretty cute.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Well, I mean, will Amber be staying with it? You
had me at Amber, by the way, I knew. I knew
when you said Amber. I'm like, okay, Okay, that's the problem.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Because if the girls that are cutting I'm just saying.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
If it were Mark, I don't think she'd have a problem.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, I got you, I got yeah. But Amber, it's
Amber Ambers. Amber's got the riz, She's charisma.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
That's the issue.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
But also this is a you know, a big contract
and a lot of money, and that could be good
for the family.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
So that's how they're going to believe.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
This is funding believes that's right. But Gigi wanted her
husband to herself, and now she's got to move over
for Amber. I wouldn't imagine that Amber would stay with them.
I mean, I'm sure they're gonna have her own room.
But you know, when Gigi's going down to the beach,
husband's going to say, I'm going to go to Amber's room,
or she's coming to our room and we're gonna do

(12:46):
some work.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Let them work, that's fine, have them work, can have drinks.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, go get them solved.

Speaker 11 (12:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
I think it's great. It's two birds with one stone.
You get to go and enjoy. Believee. It'll be fine,
it'll be fun. Is not going to be in tow
the whole time.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I don't know what to say. So if you if
you're looking forward to to spending time alone with your
husband and now you're not going to, you know that,
no wonder her heart sank. I just don't know what
I would do here. You would you go? You say
you would go? Or would you cancel and take the fines?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I would go one hundred percent go, because here's the thing.
If you don't go, your husband's still going to be
with Amber. You might as well be in Belize Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
And ask for the business credit card. Jean eight hundred

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Did you have it in your car? Yeah? Well, seventy
five percent of singles say this is not something they

Speaker 3 (15:31):
No, I'm married?

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Okay, but what do you think it is?

Speaker 6 (15:35):
I think it's being ghosted or rejected.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, that would just give you so much fear, and
then you're not gonna put yourself out there because you're
afraid of being rejected.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah, that's a great guess. Peter the research analyst. It
is not the right answer. Oh all right, okay, try again.
Thank you. Thanks, Let's go to Carla in hemet Hi Carla,
Hi guys.

Speaker 8 (16:00):
Good morning, Happy Monday.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
You too, are you single or married?

Speaker 8 (16:05):
I am happily married. But we do have a quite
a few single friends, and they just seem to be
happy and independent and don't want to be in a relationship.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
So you say, seventy five percent of single say a
relationship is not something they want right now?

Speaker 4 (16:23):

That's nice answer.

I think it's so interesting that that many singles just
don't want a relationship. They're just happy the way they are.
There's a thing out like in ten years and you know,
twenty thirty five, half of all women will be single
and with no children. Really, if we go at this rate, whoa?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Point five post one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Three of us in this room have a big experience
with Indiana. We've all from there. I live there. Have
a big problem with this clean and dirty city poll.
But here it is.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
This tough stories.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Top of the hour, Good morning, and Mellen k Well.
The cleanest and dirtiest cities in America have been determined.
This This is called long Starter examined more than thirty
hundred major US cities to see which ones are cleanest
and dirtiest in America. Are the cleanest cities. I'll start
with Des Moines, Iwan. Number two is Wilmington, North Carolina,
and then number three South Bend, Indiana. And no California

(18:04):
cities in the top ten. Well except for pleasant and
up north. The dirtiest cities. We show up a lot.
All right, Ontario the fifth and dirtiest city in America,
and you've got reading Pennsylvania, Detroit, LA's number two. San
Bernardino number one. I just don't know what lawn Starter
really knows about anything. It's a landscaping site. But they

(18:25):
say they examined all kinds of pollution levels and stuff
like that. They're probably based in South Bend, Indiana. On
what about this Popo? Leo held his first ever Mass
for only Catholics yesterday. He encouraged the next generation of
faithful that quote a different world as possible where conflicts
can be resolved with dialogue and not weapons. Also, Leo's

(18:46):
favorite Chicago pizza joint just launch a new spicy Pope
Aeroni pizza. This after two visitors hand delivered a frozen
Aurelio's pie to the Vatican, which the Pope promptly baked
and devoured. The new Pote pizza is available to ship
a world wide. How exciting. And we lost Lonnie Anderson
just days before she turns eighty. Her birthday would be tomorrow.

(19:08):
She's one of the stars, as you know, of the
classic sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. She had an acute prolonged illness.
She played receptionist Jennifer Marlowe for the show's entire four
season run. The character was originally written as a dumb blonde,
but Lonnie didn't want that. She made them rework the character,
so she was portrayed as quote the smartest person in
the room. Before landing WKRP, Lonnie Anderson auditioned to play

(19:31):
Chrissy Snow on three's Company. Obviously she lost the part
to Suzanne Summers and the heat kicking up even more today.
Welcoming the week with highs hitting ninety five. We are
on track to triple digits by Thursday, so buckle up.
Castday A ninety five for your high Compton eighty five Claremont,
you'll see ninety and right now is seventy in Burbank Kost,

Ellen, right to Ellen for advice, because you've seen a
thing or two.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
She is Alan.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Thank you so much for all of your help for Gigi.
She wrote us a letter, Dear Ellen, I need some
advice before I lose my mind or my marriage. My
husband and I are empty nesters and have been planning
a summer vacation to Belize for about a year. It's
supposed to be our chance to unwind and enjoy each
other away from everyday life. But a week ago, his
manufacturing plant that we own landed a big contract with

(21:27):
a quick deadline. So now he's telling me he has
to bring his assistant along to help him oversee the
project or we'll have to cancel. My heart sank. His assistant,
Amber is young and attractive as single. Everyone loves her,
especially men. I understand the deadline, the money, and the contract,
but I can't shake this uncomfortable feeling. He told me

(21:47):
that we have to either cancel and pay the fines
or just go along with Amber. Those are the only
two choices. What should I do? Gig all right, So, Jessica,
thank you so much. You heard our letter. You say
you feel for Gigi.

Speaker 11 (22:03):
Yeah, I seem guarrit she's coming from because you don't
want to be like a third wheel or have there
be just general distractions, like just because because I'm sure
there's nothing with the lady. But it reminded me of
Sex in the City episode where Carrie Bradshaw had like
her dream trip to Paris, but her boyfriend was an
artist at the time and all he did was all
his art shows and she was left walking Paris by herself.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah. I know that episode, that's right.

Speaker 11 (22:28):
Yeah, and I hated it.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah. So what do you think Gigi should do?

Speaker 11 (22:34):
I mean, they spend a lot of money. I get it,
but I think he needs to see if he could
stuck it up and work it on his own, be
a big boy.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Okay, so don't bring the assistant.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Yeah right, okay, Yeah, Like, if you can't handle your
business yourself, then you know, then that's it.

Speaker 11 (22:51):
Or you just suck it up and deal with it

Santa Monica's sohar from Torrance, two thousand oaks. We are
getting so many calls about our letter to Ellen from
g Dear Ellen, I need some advice before I lose
my mind or my marriage. My husband and I are
empty nesters and we've been planning a summer vacation to belize.
It's supposed to be our chance to unwind and get away.
But now he needs to take his assistant. She is

(26:13):
young and cute, everybody loves her. They got a big contract.
He has to work now on vacation. What should I do?
All right? She's upset that her husband sees nothing wrong
with bringing a third person on their vacation.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
That to me is almost a bigger problem than bringing her.
The fact that you don't know that that's upsetting I know.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Or maybe he's just trying to block her out because
he knows it's wrong, but he really sure wants it. Yeah,
all right, Carlos, thank you so much. An uber drive
you you have a four point nine. Yes, I am
good job.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
You're doing something right, dude.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Yeah, what's your magic touch in your uber?

Speaker 6 (26:51):
I'm just kind to everybody, get them to where they
need to go safely, and make sure that the eftyism
and of course I put on one of three point five.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
There you go. Thank you so much, Carlos. Well, thank
you for calling in about Gigi. So her husband all
of a sudden has a big contract, he has to work.
He wants to bring the charismatic flirty assistant along to
belize on their vacation. What do you think Gigi should do?

Speaker 6 (27:16):
I think that I'm sure it's important, so you know,
just go with it and just make sure that he's
only doing work stuff and whenever he's free from work,
he has to go right back to his life because
it's an important trip that she planned out.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Yeah right, I mean looking forward to it for you know, months,
and they've already they have all the flights and everything,
so if they cancel, it's going to be so many
fine some of them non refundable, so you know that's
just tough.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
Yeah, he better make up for it somehow, that's for sure.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
I better not make up for an ambers room.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Thank you, guys, love what you guys do. They're always entertaining.
Lest the music. Thank you guys again.

other from Uscle mean to listen to you guys every morning.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
She costs one O three point five Ellen from GG.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Her heart sank when her husband said, guess what our
Belize vacation is going to change. We have to bring
my assistant along. Her name is Amber. She's young, attractive
and single and vivacious and Chris, remember she's alive in
my mind. Sure we had to bring her because we

(28:36):
just landed a big contract and I have to work
now while we're on vacation. But Gigi's like, but this
is our We've been planning this for almost a year.
It's you and me and Belize. They're empty nesters' just
looking forward to it, and now he's put this on it.
So he said, either we go and take Amber, or
we don't go. At home, we cancel and pay the fines.

(28:57):
I mean my heart would sing too in yours.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah. Do you remember that time you and your husband
are on a flight. You were looking through a magazine
and he said, I can't wait to go to Australia
one day.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Yeah, and I was like, I, I what about we? Yeah,
let's go to Erin. What do you think Gigi should
do Erin?

Speaker 10 (29:19):
I honestly think that Gigi should go with a friend
because my family is actually from Belize.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Okay, so you see, So tell me what are Gigi
and her wild friend are going to get into in Belize?

Speaker 10 (29:33):
And Belieze is a beautiful country. There's so many things
you can do when it comes to tourism, and it's
honestly not the best place to, you know, be working.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
What is it like being from Belize? That must be
so delightful?

Speaker 9 (29:52):
It is.

Speaker 10 (29:53):
I'm very very proud of my culture. It's it's very diverse,
the food is amazing, the sites are incredible. It's not
a work trip. He would be missing out on way
too much, and that's not what he should be doing.
He should be focusing on the vacation.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah right, Yeah, then this big contract lands in his lap.
So okay, So we're gonna have the husband stay home
with the cute, charismatic assistant Amber and they'll get the
work done and then Gigi and her friend are going
to go have the time of their lives in Belize, exactly.
