All right.

Speaker 1 (00:20):

days till Thanksgiving fifty days five oh until Christmas, oh in,
twenty nine days until our coast private holiday party. All
of the Dodgers were in Kimmel last night and Will Smith,
Dave Roberts sitting down talking to Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Horrible, horrible.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I started cramping up in like the thirteenth inning.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
It was getting you know, fluids, food, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
We just kept going, and our trainer kept saying to me,
he goes, hey, Doc, Will's cramping. What do you think
we might have to get him out? And I was like,
he is not coming out. I wasn't coming out for.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
I don't hear any of yeah, eighteen innings. So they
were talking about, yeah, what do you do? I guess
that they didn't really get to have food or bathroom.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Breaks that whole time.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, geez, especially if you're Will Smith gear you know,
and the crouch position.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Oh my gosh, I forget it.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Wow, that's fun to see them. Oh and coming up,
David Beckham has been nighted. Kim Kardashian got a zero
and rotten Tomatoes. I don't know if you've heard of
Overseen All's Fair on Hulu. It is her mommy Chris
Jenner's birthday, but Kim Kardashian wanting to be a lawyer
in real life, so she plays one on TV and
the critics aren't liking it.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
There's also because he will be inside Hollywood today, there's
one more Will Smith note that we'll share coming on.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
You can meet him to Yes, great, kay, kay, she's
helling okay, and she's naked.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
My day past one o three point five The llen
K Morning Show, follow ad Official llen K Past one
o three point five Inside Entertainment with Ellen k.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
This is so exciting.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
There is a new Raising Canes in Hollywood. It used
to be Herthouse, Kevin Heart's vegan restaurant that went out
of business. My husband Roy and I tried that Hearthouse. Well, actually,
this is what we did. We googled the menu because
that's our neighborhood in Hollywood, and Calvin was with us,
so we're in the car. We googled the menu and
just nothing really looked appealing, so we just blew it

(02:48):
off and went yeah, Wad went.

Speaker 8 (02:52):
Down and we went to Pink's.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Actually, but now it's Raising Canes and that is very exciting.
Sunset and Highland And from nine to ten thirty this morning,
Will Smith, our award winning Dodger, will be at that
drive through taking your orders. Cars are already lined up.
But this is so exciting. Reason Kine said that they
have got traffic controls in place and that they are

(03:14):
going to try to move that line as fast as possible.
But imagine you know, being served by Will Smith.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Hey, can I get an extra cane sauce. Get it
for you.

Speaker 9 (03:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun. And that
is this Morning nine to ten thirty again, that is
Sunset and Hyland.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
All right. Netflix has renewed. Nobody wants this.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I gotta tell you it is so good if you
haven't gone into it yet. Kristen Bell Adam Brody. Kristen
Bell is agnostic. Adam Brody is a rabbi. It's about
their love story. But they've been renewed for a third
season and Netflix and all the headlines saying everybody wants this,
and this was the little show that couldn't. They could
not get this thing off the ground. Aaron Foster is

(03:54):
the executive producer. It was her idea. She wrote it,
she directed it, and she went knocked on everybody's door.
Netflix finally said yes, and now it is one of
their biggest hits, which is another lesson to never give up.
Monday Night, Taylor Swift and gg Hadid dined together in
New York City. Swifty speculating that Taylor asked Gigi to
be her maid of honor. Oh probably gave her a
save the date. Yeah, so we don't know what that is,

(04:18):
but they were together, and Jelly Roll has lost so
much weight there calling him Veggie Roll. You guys, this
is insane, right because we have all friends with all
kinds of stories. I lost seventy pounds, I lost Ryan,
you lost forty pounds or maybe more.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I don't even know.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Forty Genners, I lost thirty.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Five, okay, thirty five.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
I'll take forty jelly Roll.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Veggie Roll has now dropped over two hundred pounds, unbelievable
at his heavy As he weighed in at five hundred,
he admitted he could barely make it down his driveway
without getting winded.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
It was his wake up call.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
He performed at WWE SummerSlam, and that was the first
time he was under three hundred pounds.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
So we're literally watching him shrink and fast.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
So he's also going to do all the surgeries needed.
His new goal is a shirtless men's health cover.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Oh. By twenty twenty.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Seven, when you embraced him at our iHeart Festival, Yeahack
in September.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
What did it feel like a smaller?

Speaker 10 (05:12):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Obviously yes.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
And I never hugged him when he was big. Oh okay,
but my arms went all the way around. Yeah. Yeah,
love All right, what about this All's fair? It's a
brand new series out on Hulu. It's a Hulu legal drama.
Think of selling Sunset, but it's a drama star in
Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, and it's set in
a legal office, so it's all these female lawyers. Is

(05:34):
produced by Ryan Murphy. But the show's rating at Rotten
Tomatoes is a zero, among the critics saying it's the
worst television ever in the history of ever. Oh, I
just dove in last night.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I liked it. I don't know what they're talking about. Darlene.
You're through the first episode.

Speaker 11 (05:50):
Yeah, I don't think it's the worst. But halfway I
was like, I'm not sure if I'm going to watch
episode two. Okay, but I'm glad I finished it because
at the end I'm like, okay, I'm coming back for
episode two.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
There you go, big actors to name me Watts, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Teana Taylor, like I said, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Nancy
niche Bets is in there. I congratulated her at Cherry
Shepherd's Stars like, I've been waiting for this for so long, and.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
She doesn't really like it.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Yeah, oh good, okay, good well. Kim Kardashian wishes she
was a lawyer in real life. She is blaming chat
GPT for failing all of her log exams.

Speaker 10 (06:26):
When I am needing to know the answer to a question,
I'll take a picture and snap it and like put
it in there too.

Speaker 9 (06:33):
Cheat.

Speaker 10 (06:34):
They're always wrong. It has made me fail tests all
the time. And then I'll get mad and I'll like
yell at it and be like, you made me fail.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
No, you said Chat, you be Tea's fault.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
So she can't pass the bar yet, but look and she's.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Not passing the bar. I don't know what to do, Kim,

Shut up?

Speaker 13 (07:10):
Shut up?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
That's so funny.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
You should say the S word because growing up as
a kid, I was one of six and I wasn't
allowed to tell my brothers and sisters the S word
because we would fight all the time, you know, like
we're like a little I don't know, we were like
little wolves.

Speaker 13 (07:30):
But I'm stills, honestly surreal. I feel like I'm in
a dream. And even hearing your voice, it's ot sake.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Oh what is your name?

Speaker 13 (07:41):
It's the Itz Why.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
It's see, it's c What a great name.

Speaker 13 (07:45):
It's yes, well, my my legal name is it's ther,
but nobody could ever say it, so I always say it's.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
The what what nationality is that?

Speaker 9 (07:55):
It's Bath?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Okay, that is such a cool name.

Speaker 9 (07:58):
Yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Where are you going?

Speaker 9 (08:01):
Oh my god, I'm so I'm going to work.

Speaker 13 (08:04):
I work for Target distribution center. I am one of
the Adamans there and I try every time on my break,
every time on my lunch. I've tried for the last
five years. And my kids have tried. They've always hopped on,
you know, calling, and it's always been like a dream
that it's going to happen. But we're like, maybe it won't,
you know, but I never gave up.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Well that's the key right there. It's the way to go.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
We're so happy. We can't wait to meet you.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
Oh my god, me too.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Oh my god.

Speaker 12 (08:33):
Wait time, tell my husband.

Speaker 13 (08:37):
Oh my god, I'm.

Speaker 12 (08:38):
So excited like you, guys, have no idea.

Speaker 9 (08:40):
I'm shaky.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
Pas one O three point five The ellen k Morning Show.
Text us anytime at five to one oh three five.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Let's get happy. Okay. So yeah, New Year's resolutions. I
don't know can I don't.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
I don't know mine either. I really don't nothing. We
all set them here when we come back after Christmas,
and I got nothing. I got nothing. I got nothing, Mike,
I was supposed to hike a lot more, and I
don't know that I kept that.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
I do kind of remember saying I want to look
up more and I am off my phone than most
of anyone in this room. Actually we looked at hours
on phone and photos and all that.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
I feel like that was last year, like last year.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Last year. I think it is every year, all right.

Speaker 6 (09:19):
So there's a new thing out today that says end
of your resolutions is the way to go.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Okay, so it feels less overwhelming. Here's the thing.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
Four percent of people keep their New Year's resolutions. For
four percent, okay, A quarter of those people quit within
the first week. So This is a more manageable thing.
It allows for reflection on what did or did not
work when setting intentions, and you really it's it's less overwhelming.
You have two months, right, you have just like less
than two months to get this figured out. So what
is it that you want to do before the new

(09:47):
year starts? It builds momentum going into a new year. Yes,
end of your resolutions go okay?

Speaker 7 (09:55):
So look Ellen k Morning Show host.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
One oh three point five, Top Stories, Talk of the hour,
Good morning, I'm Elan Kay, and a couple key election takeaways. First,
California voters have officially officially passed Prop fifty that draws
up a new congressional map till twenty thirty, giving Dems
a bigger presence in the US House.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
And in New York City's mayoral race.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Andrew Cuomo was defeated by zorn Mom Donnie at age
thirty four. He's the youngest New York mayor since eighteen
ninety two.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And still some cleanup going on.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Louisville International Airport reopened this morning after that tragic ups
plane crash last night, one that claimed nine lives and
injured eleven others. Tons of cancelations and delays, even affecting
schedules here at LAX.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
The video is horrifying.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Lots of fire, black smoke, tons of debris, even nearby
building set ablaze from that wreckage. The one bit of
good news, Kentucky Governor Andy Vasher says the cleanup is
not a hazmat situation.

Speaker 14 (10:55):
I can confirm that there was no specifically hazardous cargo
on board of the plane that would create an environmental
issue for those around the site.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
And yeah, so that cleanup still ongoing.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
And what about this Dodger deal Alertchipotle's going to celebrate
the Dodgers back to back world series wins tomorrow full
on bogos, Buy one, get one to anyone wearing Dodgers gear.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
From four to eight pm.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
And Will Smith is at Raising Canes the new location
in Hollywood this morning nine to ten thirty am. It
is on Sunset and Highland. You can drive through and
Will Smith can get you your extra sauce and.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
A fello legend.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Tom Brady admitted that his dog Juny is a clone
of his late dog Lua. Brady is an investor in
the biotech firm called Colossal Biosciences, and he credits the
company with giving his family a second chance. Brady and
his ex wife Dezell Bunchin announced their adopted dog, Lewa's
death in twenty twenty three. Before her death, Brady drew
blood from the elderly dog for the non invasive cloning technology.

(11:56):
His announcements come as Colossal Biosciences has acquired via gen
Pets and Equine, the firm that cloned Barbara Streisand's dead
dog Samantha and Paris Hilton's Diamond.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Baby after it went missing. And we do have a.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Great morning, but then we have Developing Sunshine a little
bit later on Hi's You're going to stay really low Irvine.
You get to seventy erwin Dale seventy as well, And
right now it is sixty in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles.
It's Coast one of three point five presented by Celsius
Energy Drinks, and your four pack to our coast private

Speaker 9 (12:35):
I love listening to you the morning, and I just
hope you guys have a fabulous to say.

Speaker 8 (12:40):
Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yes, your four packs to our coast private holiday of
party are just d We do it at twenty after
every hour all day long. We start at six, we
go to nine. But right now we are reading your
letter Ellen right.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
To Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing or two.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
She is Ellen, and thank you, thank you so much
for your letters to Ellan. You just go to Coast
one of three five dot coms, and then there's an envelope.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
He just tamp it and you're there.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
This one's from Maria, you guys, and I was reading
through this and I think it might be kind of
sorta a common occurrence.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Maria writes, Dear Ellen, I work at a small, tight
knit healthcare office, just fifteen of us who've been together
for years, more like family than coworkers. We have celebrated weddings, babies,
and birthdays side by side, always with our executive director, Frank.
I've changed his name to protect him and his wife,
let's call her Nina. Yesterday Frank called an all staff meeting.

(13:40):
He looked somber and said he had personal news. Then
he dropped the bomb. After twenty one years of marriage,
he and Nina are divorcing. We were stunned. Everyone loves Nina.
She's kind, graceful, beautiful inside and out. But here's the twist.
Frank told us he doesn't want any of us to
contact her none. He said it would make things hard
for him. Since then, his behavior has been a little different.

(14:03):
He's making it look like Nina was the problem. Some
of us have seen his vivacious flirting and have experienced
his huge ego, and that makes his story hard to believe.
So here we are. Do we respect Frank's demand for silence,
or do we reach out to Nina knowing that it
could cause trouble in the office. Something tells me there
is more to this breakup than he's letting on. And Ellen,

(14:25):
my gut says it's not Nina. Help Maria. Well, so
tighten it office, fifteen people. Frank's been there, he's the consistent,
but so is Nina. And now he's told everyone that
they are splitting up, do not contact her. So that's
a tough one because, like she said, she says, we've

(14:47):
celebrated weddings, babies, and birthdays side by side. Yeah, I know,
there's a lot of questions to me.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
My first thing, Ellen, I don't know about you, but
I hear that like he's hot, he's he doesn't want
them to contact her because she's gonna say, she's gonna
say exactly what happened. Right, he's covering for whatever he
doesn't want them to know.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
And if the table's returned, is it really anyone's business?
It's not.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
And unfortunately, I think when with situations like this, when
you work with people and you become so close, it's
almost like that's your fault, like you made it, you
made it this way, you established the baseline.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Okay, but is it his fault really the right word?
I mean, yes, But Frank Brett needed everything. And of
course they're going to fall in love with her because
listen to this discribtion.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
But you can't go back on it.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Beautiful inside and out, But you can't.

Speaker 6 (15:38):
You can't go back on what you've created. You created
this environment where these people created it. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 14 (15:44):
Right.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Oh, so you're saying, Frank can't tell them, No.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
You can't say don't contact her. This is the environment
you you set up.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I would give it time. Just give it time and
then find out what it really happened.

Speaker 11 (15:54):
Yes, I would text the wife a hug emoji because
I'm not technically saying any.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Oh it's a loophole.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah, what do you do? It's eight hundred and ninet
two nine Kost. Maria needs help. And that's what we
love about reading these letters down because you help so much.
So many people have either been in the situation or
have been the Frank or the Nina or the Maria.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
It sounds like the three ships when you love to.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Say the Frank, Nina, and then Maria again. Eight hundred
nine nine Kost, stand by for your four pack to
our holiday party.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
It's the L and K Morning Show. Is this the
lady that plays the game?

Speaker 2 (16:39):

to play the game. Okay, well, then let's play the game.

of people are saying snap It is not the right answer.

Speaker 13 (20:05):
Okay, all right, have.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
A good one. Try again. We go to Chino Hills.
She is Morgan. Hi Morgan, Hi, Hi Agan, what are
you doing today?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
I am just hanging out today?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, okay, Morgan is hanging out in Chino Hills.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
And what is your guests?

Speaker 12 (20:23):
I would guess Facebook Messenger?

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Facebook Messenger?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Okay, I don't use it, so I'm not sure how
it works.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Is it super secretive? Like would you have to be
logged in to see?

Speaker 5 (20:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Okay, yeah, all right Facebook Messenger. That's a good guess.
It's not the right answer, though, Morgan.

Speaker 11 (20:43):
Okay, okay, let's go to Lori and Kobina.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
Hi Lori, Hi Lori?

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Are you a detective?

Speaker 9 (20:53):
No, I'm not a detective?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
All right, Laurie, what do you think?

Speaker 1 (21:00):
What in four people have used which app to secretly
message someone?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
The notes app? The notes app? It comes standard with
every iPhone. There it is. It looks like a piece
of paper, the notes App.

Speaker 8 (21:14):
And you are right.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
You are going to Kelly Clarkson in Vegas. Congratulations, thank you?
Are you secretly messaging on the notes App?

Speaker 9 (21:24):
I am not. I didn't even know you could until
I just, you know, found out you can.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
You can.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Yeah, you can collab with someone. You share your note
and then both of you share this note.

Speaker 13 (21:34):
That makes sense.

Speaker 11 (21:35):
Let me see your notes, Ryan, Yeah, seriously, he thinks
you know a little too.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
It's great.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
It's a standard feature. I gotta get the most out
of his new iOS up.

Speaker 8 (21:47):
It's the lank Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (21:49):
You make me laugh, you make me cry. Every emotion
is there every single day past.

Speaker 8 (21:54):
One oh three point five with the LK Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
We're a feel good show.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Would love to make you feel good, and we love
your feel good, so we always love to share him
because your feel good makes other people feel good.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
So here we are.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
There was a letter written about show Hey Otani and
it's written by his dad Toro. Before we get to that,
let's go to show Hey at the Dodger rally.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
I want to say that I'm a solfla of histem
and then i want to say you guys are a
greatest of fans in the world, and I'm ready to
get another ring year.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
We're ready to so we do.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
We read letters to Ellen every Monday and Wednesday. But
this is a letter to show Hey, and it's from
his dad, Toru Otani, the dad of Dodger Superstar show Hey.
He was asked to write a letter to his son
in Sports Nippon. It's a well known Japanese sports newspaper,
and despite being a super private family, the letter includes
Toro's personal thoughts about Otani's accomplishments. All right, so I'm

(23:01):
going to read you a part of it. It's a
long letter, but here's the essence. Congratulations show Hey on
winning the World Series for the second straight year. I
honestly thought it would be fine if your full return
as a pitcher came next season. But I never imagine
you'd be throwing this well toward the end of this season.
More than anything, I'm just happy that you stayed healthy

(23:23):
through the entire year. By the way, Otani was called
baseball boy, and his dad coached him as a young boy.
So for all the dads and the fathers, you do
not want to miss what this dad wrote to his son.
He said, when you're batting, we can relax and enjoy
the game. But when you're pitching, since the outcome depends
so much on it, we've never been able to stay
came even since you were a kid. When you hit

(23:45):
a home run, your mother says that was great, well done,
But I always end up saying something like that was
a high fastball out of the zone. You shouldn't have
swung at that. Even when the result is good, I
can't stop worrying. First, we couldn't make it to any
postseason games this year due to scheduling conflicts. But in
August I took the kids from the team I coached
to Los Angeles. That's when I got to see you

(24:07):
and Mamico, and for the first time I was able
to hold my grandchild at the ballpark. It made me
so happy. I remember saying, Wow, she's big, she's adorable,
and I'm really looking forward to watching her grow up.
You're thirty one years old now, show hey write in
your prime as a baseball player. I know the time
will come when you'll have to focus on either pitching
or hitting. If you can't pitch anymore, playing in the

(24:28):
outfield would be just fine, And someday maybe you could
even aim to be a major league manager. It wouldn't
be a bad path after retirement. I hope you'll stay
connected to baseball and pass something on to the next generation.
But as your father, my wish is simple. Stay healthy,
stay injury free, and keep playing baseball the way you
want to play until the very end.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
That alone isn't enough for me. We'll always be cheering
for you. Keep it up.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Show Hey, Toru a beautiful letter. We went last year
after the World Series win, and they asked him to
do it again. It was just published, and I think
what makes the letters so special is it's not about
the trophies or the records. It's about the family and
the timeless joy of watching someone you love do what

(25:15):
they're born to do.

Speaker 8 (25:17):
It's the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (25:18):
Thank you so much. I love you guys. Thank you
for coming with me to work every morning and coming
home with me every evening.

Speaker 8 (25:24):
Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Top Stories Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm Ellen
K and well our couple. Key election day takeaways. California
voters officially passed Prop fifty. It draws up new congressional
map till twenty thirty, giving Dems a bigger presence in
the US House. And President Trump just confirms SNAP benefits
will not be paid out until the government shutdown ends.

(25:47):
We're in day thirty six ers a slight catch, the
government will tap into a rainy day fund.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
To cover half of the benefits.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
The White House says it'll take weeks to months to
get that approval pushed through the courts, So for the
time being, no food assistant for those in need. And
tonight will be a full moon, and there's a thing
called moon water. Moonwater is simply pure water sealed in
a container and left outside to charge with energy provided
by the light.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Of the full moon.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
It's going to be the lowest and the biggest that
it has been. It's also called the beaver moon, and
the beaver moon is also a super moon. Anyway, you
put the water out in a sealed container, it's supposed
to kind of absorb all of that energy. The benefits are,
of course hydration, but also it's supposed to make you
feel closer to Mother Nature. And the idea has been
kicking around for a while, but for whatever reason, moonwater

(26:33):
has gone viral this year.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Okay, what about this?

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Amazon offering a complete Thanksgiving meal to feed five people,
stuffing mashed potatoes, green bean castorle cranberry relish. You even
get your choice of pumpkin pocan or sweet potato pie
and it's for twenty five dollars. The deal runs through
November twelfth, are actually from November twelve through Thanksgiving Day.
Walmart's also offering a Thanksgiving meal deal. Their Thanksgiving Savings

all turkey, stop top stuffing, dinner, rolls, potatoes, mac and cheese,
and more, and that bes a family of ten for
forty dollars. And in case you're wondering, the butterball hotline
that you call for help is up and running as
of this week and a much cooler, cloudier start. Might
even see a smattering of drizzle in some areas. The

(27:18):
sun is busting through. Here in Burbank we get a
high seventy. Right now it is sixty and we are
presented by Celsia's Energy Drinks. It's Kost Los Angeles. Coast
one O three point five coming up. More of your
four packs to our coast private holiday party.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Save the date. It's December fourth and you could win.
Just ahead.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
La wakes up with the ellen K Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (27:38):
Thank you for making a smile even on bad days.

Speaker 12 (27:41):
You guys always make a smile with good music and
good humor and good loud post.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
One oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
We love your letters to Ellen These coast were not
three point five with the ellen K Morning Show. I
loved that letter that show Hayes dad wrote to him,
and it's in our blog if you want to check
it out. It's so heartwarming, a letter from a proud
daddy to his superstar son. But I think we can
all all feel that with you know, love for our fathers,

(28:06):
or that our fathers have for us or for our sons.
So yeah, check that out at Coast one of three
five dot com. But this letter comes from Maria.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
She is Ellen.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Dear Ellen.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I work at a small, tight knit healthcare office, fifteen
of us who've been together four years, more like family
than coworkers. We have celebrated weddings, babies, and birthdays side
by side, always with our executive director Frank and his
wife Nina right there in the mix. Sounds wonderful, Maria,
she said. Yesterday Frank called in an all staff meeting.

(28:43):
He looked somber that he had personal news. Then he
dropped the bomb. After twenty one years of marriage, he
and Nina are divorcing. We are stunned. Everyone loves Nina.
She's kind, she's graceful, she's beautiful inside and out. Here's
the twist. Frank told us he doesn't want any of
us to contact her. He said it would make things
harder for him. Problem is, we've seen his vivacious flirting

(29:07):
and have experienced his huge ego that makes his story
hard to believe. So here we are. Do we respect
Frank's wishes or do we reach out to Nina, knowing
that it could cause a problem and make our happy workspace.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Not so happy.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Something tells me there's more to this breakup than he's
letting on my gut says it's not Nina. So we
got so many calls about this, people who have been Maria,
or they've been in Nina's steps, in Nina's place, or
Frank and Elsie. You say, you work for a medical
office and you feel for Maria.

Speaker 9 (29:44):
Well, I was in a similar situation many years ago.
And the bottom line, at the end of the whole fiasco,
the doctor told me it's none of my business. So
I ended up losing my job. Eventually, he found a
way to get rid of me, uh and everybody. I mean,
it did create a big mess in the office because

(30:04):
we were also a tight knit group. But in the end,
you know, it's between him and his wife, and he
just told us it's you know.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
But out. Okay, even though you were friends with his wife.

Speaker 9 (30:17):
We were friends, yes, yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
So you said, then you got fired. He found a
way to fire you. Was he just a tough guy
to work for?

Speaker 9 (30:26):
No, No, he changed. He changed because we did find
out that he was having an affair.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
And okay, so he fired everyone, including his wife.

Speaker 9 (30:35):
Oh yeah. Eventually anybody who got in anybody who I
guess disagreed with him or felt, you know, that he
was in the wrong. We were eventually, uh you know,
let go for personal reasons.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
He also says let it go, let.

Speaker 9 (30:52):
It go, Okaya, of course, thanks.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Thank you, Elsa, let it go to Well now I
kind of want to hear the song.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Oh no, you do it because a lot of people
are calling about this, and Maria did change the names
to protect the innocence.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
She is not Frank and Nina. That's not their real names.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
But a lot of people have been in this situation
where you know, the dynamic changes and what do you do?
You love this, Nina, but now you've been told by
your executive director boss, it's going to be harder for
me if you contact her. You cannot contact her, and
so you're kind of frozen in time, so to speak.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
Turnal ways, that side the startrage.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Never bothered me anyway.

Speaker 8 (31:58):
It's the lank morning shell guys.

Speaker 9 (32:00):
Really do you make my morning?

Speaker 13 (32:02):
I love listening to you guys every morning. Thank you
for all your friend mornings.

Speaker 9 (32:06):
On my ride to work.

Speaker 8 (32:08):
Coast one O three point five.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Who is this Marcella Maricela Dicken Dasher. Yes, your name,
your full name came up on the screen. That's how
I know. Oh my god, you're like two reindeers in
one called the girl Dasher Room. Marsla, congratulations your collar

Speaker 8 (32:31):
Yeah, you win?

Speaker 2 (32:32):

Speaker 9 (32:37):

Speaker 2 (32:39):

give up. And that's what we're doing every hour twenty after,
and you are the lucky winner.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Yes, thank you so much, Thank you Mary Sola.

Speaker 1 (32:51):

Texas anytime at five one oh three five, or the sitcom.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
It would be Maria in the Middle like Malcolm in
the Middle.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Maria wrote us a letter and she said that her
boss is divorcing his wife. The entire close knit staff
loves Nina, but Frank says, don't contact her. All right,
so let's go to another Maria. Maria, you say time heals,
just be patient.

Speaker 12 (33:22):
Yeah, I give it time, like produce your mic sig
give us some time and then call Nina and find
out what happened, because, like I said, regardless, at the
end of the day, Frank made a decision. I don't
know what it was when Nina involved that they're going
to get a divorce. So it's something it to happen.
So whatever they say or anything people say, they're still
going to get a divorce at the end of the day.

(33:42):
Disrespect Frank for now what he said.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Disrespect him later, Yeah, disrespect.

Speaker 12 (33:51):
Right unless Nina calls and contact them.

Speaker 9 (33:54):
That's different.

Speaker 12 (33:55):
Nina contacts sure. But besides that, Letta be for now.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Give it okay, give it time. A lot of people
are saying, just give it to everything will work out
of the ordinary.

Speaker 8 (34:07):
Wake up with Ellen K.

Speaker 13 (34:08):
Thank you for getting me out of bed every day,
getting me through work.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Good morning, I'm Ellen K and the single most notorious
in and out in all of the Southland has just
reopened with a brand new traffic pattern. We are talking
about the one in Alhambra and if you use it.
You know it's on Atlantic. It's been closed for months
while Cruz reworked the traffic flow keeping cars out of
that intersection at Atlantic and Garfield. You now enter from
a side street and are directed into side by side

(34:41):
direct through lines before rejoining. Is just one lane at
the end, side by sign lanes. So is that a
double double.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
About right? And let's night it like Beckham. David Beckham got.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Down on one knee and then there he was King
Charles with the sword, knighting Beckham.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
That's Sir David Beckham to you.

who has an underwear deal and neck tattoos.

back in eighteen ninety and that job was the first
department store Santa.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
So we say congrats to you, James.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Thank you for a breaking ground there and a much
clouder start in some areas. We still have marine layer
to burn off, but sunny, beautiful highs in the low seventies.
We're gonna kind of keep this coolness for a little while,

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero.
