There's a new star in the Hollywood Walk of Famous,
not honoring a famous singer or an actor. Instead, it's
dedicated to some of the brave heroes who battled the
Palisades and Sunset fires earlier this year the Los Angeles
Fire Department. The idea began when an eighth grader's assignment
all the way in Connecticut was to write about heroes.

So this eighth grader, her name is Aniola Taiwo, wrote
a letter to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. She says,
I'm writing to ask for a star in the Hollywood
Walk of Fame and representation of the first responders of California.
It was hand addressed, a real stamp and the assignment

was accomplish. She sent it to the right place. The
Chamber was impressed by the eighth grader who recognized the
LA firefighters as heroes, even mentioning the firefighters in her
own family. She said she knew that the Hollywood Chamber
of Commerce gave stars on the Walk of Fame just
to celebrities, but she thought that the firefighters were celebrities

and heroes and should get treatment on the Walk of Fame,
or at least near the Walk of Fame. So this
morning LA City Firefighters will be part of a special
ceremony unveiling that star. Aniola along with her family and
her teacher are part of that ceremony. This is going
to be so beautiful. Disney paid for the star and

LAFD Chief Jamie Moore, so many of the first responders
will be there. It's six eight zero one Hollywood Boulevard
in front of Ovation Hollywood and this happens. We'll get
down there early, but around eleven ish. This is going
to be amazing. So we say thank you to all
