family war. When I was sixteen, my dad Will had

I remember the fighting, the crying, the months my mom
could barely get out of bed.

I was furious with him, but over the last decade,
my dad worked hard to rebuild our relationship. We went
to counseling. We had difficult conversations. He apologized for everything
he put us through, and slowly I forgave him. Now

imagined my dad walking me down the aisle, sitting in
the front row and sharing the father daughter dance with me.

I told my mom and she immediately said, if your

away what the mom feels, but look at this moment,
this is about your daughter. You just got to rise
above for this one day. Just let it happen. It's

not uninvite her dad.

has turned into a family war. When I was sixteen,

and us and completely shattered our family. I remember the crying,

For years, I was furious with him, but over the
last ten years, my dad worked hard to rebuild our relationship.
We went to counseling, We had difficult conversations. He apologized

imagined my dad walking me down the aisle, sitting in

have lived through this and was it. I'm sure it
was hard, but they probably have no regrets now that

I have complete regrets of doing that and I can't
do anything, unfortunately about it. But I've asked them for forgiveness,
and I myself cannot forgive myself, but they've gotten healed
over it as far as accepting everything to go back
with me, right.
