Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome on the official Huscar fan of kfab's morning news.
It's Richie and Papilion here on news radio eleven to
ten kfa B. Good morning, Richie, Good morning guys.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
How are we doing?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
How you do it? You tell me?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah, I'm okay. You know, I gotta apologize to my wife.
Last game things weren't going well and it.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Was kind of loud, So no, how were you? I
think she's used to it, But yeah, what was your
condition about halftime last year? Halftime?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Well, six possessions and no points. I don't think I
ever saw that before. And the kicking game is just
the disaster right now. And I don't understand how we
can kick extra points and not kick field goal. Is
it the same thing, you just kick it harder? I
don't know, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Well there's sometimes you got a little angle there, but
it's a fair question.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
And then the penalties, and the penalties, even though there's
a lot of questionable penalties, seems like they're against us too.
But you know, the second half is really good. I mean,
you came out, we scored touchdowns, a defensive touchdown. Gotta
love that. And you know two years ago we lose
that game. You know that right thirteen ten, we lose
that game. So we won the game, and we're four
and one, and let's go on to Rutgies.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Now, well, so this is, uh, you know, your old neighborhood.
I don't know if Rutgers not my name.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
It's not my neighborhood. Rutgers, there's no in the ind Well,
someone thinks rutgis is New York City, it's not. It's
not even near us.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
It's a lot closer than it is to Omaha.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yes, it's closer than no question about that. But Rutgers
has nothing to do with New York City at.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
All at all. So nobody in New York City gives too.
You know, what's this about Rutgers? Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
No, No, no one cares about Rutgies.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Okay, so you didn't even know Rutgers existed until they.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Joined the They existed because they played basketball a little bit.
But no one cares about Rutgers back home. Believe me
when I tell you. This. Okay, well, it's more of
a basketball city anyway for college.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
So you have no respect for him.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
No, I respect every body. You have to respect them.
They're playing good football, aren't they four? And oh?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Right there?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You know they're playing good football. We're you know, we
should beat them. We're a better team. We know that.
They just stop their run. That's really all they got.
They don't press quarterbacks, they give up explosive plays. They
got lucky I think last week and they it was
at Washington. They missed this couple of field goals or something.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Yeah, three of them.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
We should win. You can't lose these games at home,
you can't. These are the games you gotta win. This
is a must win. I know it's going to be
one hundred degrees and hurricane wins and all that, So what,
it doesn't matter. We have the tools to win this game.
We really do.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, hurricane wins. We think it'll be one hundred and
forty mile an hour wins, thirty mile through hour.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
South wind, it's tropical storm winds. I don't know. It's
going to be windy and handle.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
You're gonna take your shirt off since it'll be ninety.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
No, I don't take my shirt off.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
So it's it's the first quarter tomorrow, Richie, Nebraska's facing
a fourth and two on and we're we're either going
forward on fourth and two or're kicking a thirty eight
yard field goal.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
What do you want to coach rule to do?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
If we're going with the wind, I'm kicking the field goals.
You gotta kick field goals. Against the win, you go
for it. You gotta kick field goals. You have to
already costs this one game. It's going to cost a
small game. I don't understand what the problem is. Just
kick the field goal. I mean, I'm not looking for
fifty yards anything, forty four and you gotta make those kicks. Obviously,
the weather has a lot to do with it tomorrow.

(03:29):
But if the weather, if we're going with the win,
you kick the field goal. Take the points always.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
All right, Well, I'm going to send that to the
coaching staff. Now. You know, depending on the direction of
the win, we go for or kick.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
The field No, you gotta he knows you gotta kick
field goals. Everyone knows this game goals on championship teams
and sometimes the most important position, you gotta hit these kicks.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Game predictions one to two. What's your prediction, Richie?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
You know, I think we win twenty twenty eight, seventeen
something like that. Look, we're just a better team thumb
across the board.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
We know that black shirts aren't going to give up
seventeen to Rutgers.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Thanks Ritchie,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
