Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcoming Fox News Radios. Jeffman also to the program, and
in the wake of President elect Trump designating Darth Vader
as his borders are, that would be Tom Holman, the
former ICE director, and he says, we're we're not going
to bend or break. We're going to We're going to
get We're going to deport people who are here illegally,
(00:20):
and we're going to start with the criminals. Jeff, good morning.
It's good to have you on.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's good to be with you.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I went in.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Now we see these blue state governors and blue city
mayors pushing back. They say, we're going to fight. We're
going to fight Trump on his immigration plans.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Right yeah. Democrats in Illinois are joining their counterparts across
the country in blue cities and states that are threatening
to get in the way of the incoming Trump administration's
plans to deport illegal immigrants, beginning with criminals first. Chicago's
mayor making it clear that he's not going to flinch
his words over the Welcoming City Ordinance that the city
(00:54):
officials will do their best to keep those protections in place.
Protections that include law enforcement officers are forbidden with speaking
communicating with immigrations, immigration and customs officials when they when
they have contact with the illegal immigrants. Uh. Democratic Governor J. B.
Pritzker in Illinois also vowing to protect illegals, warning the
(01:15):
other day that you know, you know the warning the
Trump administration the other day that you know, you come
from my people, you're going to have to go through me.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
What does he what does he mean by that? My
my people, my people, if they're if they're here illegally.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Those are his people. I think that's what he means.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Well, they're there.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
That's how he said it. And he said, look, you're
not We're not cooperating with with immigration and customs folks.
We're not cooperating with with these efforts of mass deportation
or not. These are my people. So he said what
he said. Uh. And President Eli liked the Trump's planned
deportation efforts, which was no secret the law just mass
(02:00):
deportation in American history that people voted for overwhelmingly. The
majority of Americans voted for last week as one of
the biggest issues of the twenty twenty four campaign. Following
a crisis after crisis over the surge of millions of illegals,
many of them gang members, in criminals crossing into the
US under the Biden administration. We know law enforcement agencies
(02:24):
across the country are stoked. We know that border patrol
agents that we've talked to are finally they relieve they
can finally do their jobs without repture retribution from the
federal government. You know. But you know, in New York City,
the New York Coast reports that law city law enforcement
they're hopeful that President elects the Trump and his incoming
(02:48):
borders are tom Homan can save the city from its
raging migrant crisis after avowed sanctuary cities, including the Big Apple,
will not stop him from deporting criminals. Tom Holman, you've
seen the videos, yeah, in their own socials of him
talking about this issue, and he doesn't see him flinched.
(03:12):
You know, he's not flinching. He's going to go after
it and get a job done.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
And he's made it clear that first, and I think
again this has been mischaracterized by the red herring on
the left. He's made it clear we're going after the
criminals first. Okay, We're not just gonna gigantically throw a
net around. You know, eleven million people bind it up
and then throw it over the border. We're going after
the people we know are criminals. There are there is
(03:37):
a manageable number of those fifteen twenty thirty thousand of
those if they can find them. And you would think
that any mayor who stands in the way of the
federal government going in and getting a criminal, a convicted
murder or a rapist out of that neighborhood is going
to have trouble next election.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah. You know, we've heard Democratic pundent saying, look, we
need we need to learn from this, learn our lesson.
And you know, even some going going so far to
say that, you know that the Democrat Party has has
lost its way. Others others within the party, you know,
obviously disagree, but there definitely is some soul searching that
(04:16):
that needs to be done. Because the majority of Americans
voted for, voted for this to take place. Clean up,
clean up this country, clean up this this illegal immigration
border disaster that's played out over the last four years.
Uh And and get the economy back up and running.
And and that's that's what that's what President Trump vowed
(04:36):
to do. Uh And so for blue states and blue
cities to stand in his way. You know a lot
of that might be just posturing, but you know, they
have the wind. The Trump administration has the wind at
its back with this mandate that it's going into these
cities and in small towns across the America that have
(04:57):
been devastated by illegal immigrants, including Chicago. That one of
the reasons why black Chicagoans, Hispanic Chicagoans voted for for
Donald Trump in such big numbers, more so than than
in recent years, because they want it cleaned up. And
you know, personally, when I when I see Tom Holman
(05:19):
say that he's going to clean it up, He's going
to go in there and he's not going to worry
about with these blue cities, mayors and governors have to
say I believe him. Right.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well, you saw the mayor of Chicago. He said, you're
going to come through me. Well that was a governor,
but no, the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Williams, said the
same thing. Okay, no problem, did mister mayor, did you
read the election results? Did you see how many African Americans,
how many Hispanics, how many of these minority identity groups
(05:48):
that are valuable to you, voted for Donald Trump? From
your city.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Apparently not well, Jeff. As a as a legal matter,
they can refuse to cooperate. But beyond that, there's nothing.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
They can do, right, I mean, there's nothing they can do. Uh.
And and you know, obviously there's going to be legal
challenges and in fights over over funding. I mean there
there are there are lots of plays that can happen
here on both sides. But the bottom line is that
there's a mandate to get it done, and the Trump
administration is vowing to get it done. Uh. And obviously
(06:20):
steal up the border, close it up, get that wall built,
and uh, you know, get get get troops down there,
you know, get get the US Navy, US Coast Guard
down the waterways. Uh and and and send a message
and and and you know, obviously communication with Mexico's uh
new president is key to get that to get those
policies back in place that that kept illegals in Mexico
(06:43):
before they were too to be able to come back
in here to cross and cross in Look, things have changed.
We saw that caravan coming up to the Dairy and Gap,
thousands and thousands of them, uh, trying to make their
way towards the border. Uh and and you know before
before Biden Lee's office and an election night when when
Trump won the next day the caravan turned around.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yes. Yes, Jeff Banaso, Fox News Radio, Jeff, thanks, you
bet
