Speaker 1 (00:00):
Gary Slademayer, Jim Rose, Lucy Chapman and Company. And it's
a pleasure to welcome Daniel Wick to the program. Doctor
Wick is an MD in Central Nebraska and frequently comments
on my Facebook posts and and send an email to
me the other day said Joe Biden's Democratic revengeful hypocrisy.

(00:23):
Pardoning Hunter Biden is the perfect gift for Donald Trump.
Biden forever covered up his own obvious corruption. Trump now
has been given full ability to pardon himself and all
January sixth participants, and nothing Democrats can say as their
Democratic president set the precedence. I expressed most centrist Democrats

(00:46):
of all races and genders would not vote for Harris,
and I was right, and then invariably signs his name
and then identifies as centrist Democrat. With that, we welcome
Dan Work to the program.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Down Good morning, it's a beautiful day in Central Nebraska.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Gary, great, and it's good to have you on here.
And I'm curious coming off the election is why I
wanted to, because people are still thinking about that and
Democrats are liberals particular earlier are distraught over what happened.
People are thinking about that election. When you say centrist Democrat,
which is what you are. How do you define that?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Well, I think we've got democratic derangement syndrome going on
right now, and it's a fiscal conservative yet social libertarian.
And that basically is what a centrist Democrat is. The
Joe Mansion type of centrist Democrat that is common sense
that works with Republicans for the benefit of American people
rather than the benefit of selfishness is really what we

(01:51):
need to get back to. And right now, the Democrats
have no leadership at all, either nationally or in Nebraska.
In order to get any type of Democrat to be
elected in Nebraska, you have to run a centrist Democrat
on centrist policies. But it's going to take about thirty
million dollars and unfortunately it's going to take out of

(02:12):
state money in order to do that. Right now, I
do not think that there's anybody, both state or national
disci leader, and we're going to get somebody that's going
to come out of the masses. And that's it. Right now.
Joe Biden is not only somebody who is going to
go down in history as one of the worst presidents,

(02:34):
but now we have implicit that possibly foul too, or
maybe Chainey or maybe Adam Schiff are now going to
be pardoned as well for crimes that they didn't even commit,
which implicitly implies more corruption. Trump has been given the

(02:55):
perfect gift to pardon himself. He's been given the perfect
gift to pardon all of the part discipants in the
January sixth participation as well. This is the best gift
that Trump could ever get from the Democrats right now.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
When when I asked you how you identify what a
centrist is, and you mentioned fiscal conservative, you mentioned libertarian.
Those are qualities that are very appealing to a lot
of conservatives a libertarian point of view. What is in
the Republican Party that you oppose? What about the Republican

(03:30):
Party do you oppose?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Right now? Is more a matter of a policy and
what is not being done and what is being done,
for example, social security? How about if we take all
of the money that we're giving to all of these
foreign countries, bring it back and fund social Security with
that money instead. Why are we giving money to all
of these foreign countries? Does not make sense at all.

(03:57):
Why are we paying for the veterans to have veterans
care when we can give them all medicare, eliminate the
entire veterans care system, and let all of these rural
Nebraska veterans go exactly where they are. It's more a
matter of policy, of common sense and common sense people.
It doesn't matter what brand you are. It matters more

(04:18):
what you're going to do for the United States. And
that's where we have to get back to a centrist
in both Republicans and Democrats.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, Nebraska has that heritage we go. You know, there
were people like Ben Nelson, most recently probably the most prominent.
I would I would describe him as a centrist Democrat.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
But I have thought that ben Nelson a couple of times, Yes,
in the last couple of weeks, and Ben Nelson has
written a book that actually said that very same thing.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
But he got he got in big troubles and was
basically voted out of office because of his vote on
a bomacare so. But but the thing is he wasn't
a radical.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
You know that.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
The problem I think with a Democratic party today, doctor Wick,
is the radicals are running it. They've taken it over.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
The woke radical Democratic Party is done, it is gone.
Harris has been beat in a very embarrassing fashion. And
in order to survive, the Democrats have to come back
with centrist leaders. They've got to find centrist leaders. Joe
Mansin would be a perfect centrist leader to run the
Democratic Party or others that are going to come out

(05:27):
as well. And that's why, as a Democrat who has
been a centrist, free speech has been usurped by all
of the woke radicals. And now it's time for the
centrist Democrats to have a voice. And I'm the only
one that is able right now to be attacked by
the woke liberals and say exactly what I want to say.

(05:48):
But I have no problem saying it.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Well, what is a centrist Democrat? Doctor Wick? Exactly? Give
us the seven things that make a centrist Democrat.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
A centrist Democrat I ran on many platform, says platform,
it's not personality. So number one physical conservative. Number two
get rid of the national debt. Number three become manufacturing.
We have to bring manufacturing back to the United States
and not have it in China because it is a

(06:18):
national defense problem. We have to do something with the border.
The most radical thing that I said that we should
do with the border is invade Mexico and make it
another ten states of the United States, and then we
would take manufacturing down to Mexico and people from Massachusetts,
from North Dakota would go to Mexico for jobs as well.
Makes common sense. That would take care of all of

(06:41):
the border policies that we'd have right now. Those are
things that need to be looked at, that need to
be addressed, that need to be really presented, and that's
what a policy of common sense has to be.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Now, you want to invade Mexico, But doctor Wick, not
one Democrat running for office in the last election said
any of that.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
That one I did. I did in twenty sixteen. And
Trump now has also hinted that he's going to put
drones and he's going to possibly invade Mexico. And it
makes common sense. Now if I ran, I would probably
get shot and killed for my statement.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Probably, you know, if he's shot and killed, But you
might not. The problem is, of course, nationally, Democrats are
in third place. Republicans have thirty four percent and independents
have thirty three percent, and Democrats now have thirty one percent,
so you're not even in the second place right now, and
all of the all of what you just said is
part of the Republican Party platform and what independence police.

(07:41):
So I'm not sure exactly what the Democrat Party looks
like these days, but you guys will figure it out.
You always have before. Are you running again?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
In order to run it would take thirty million dollars
and of course it would be out of state money
that I would have to have because there's nobody that's
going to support me in state. So would I look
into it. I've always been transparent and said absolutely, is
it a reality? No, it is a dream, and that's it.
Especially in Nebraska.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Appreciate it. I disagree. I think Nebraskas would vote for
a centrist. Nebraska has thirty one percent of the state
of Democrats. Independence.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, there are so many west.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
In the national election, yes, but in the primary, I
don't know if you'd get past the primary.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
You're proud, that's your problem, doctor Wick. Thank you so much.
Always appreciate your input on social media and an email,
and the great to have you with us this morning.
That's Dan Wick, Centrist Democrat,
