Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Sip in Tequila. We took the We took
a hiatus, a long hiatus, long hiatus, a month long.
We don't even know what episode this is, but welcome back. Yeah,
welcome back, because we have a lot to talk about
so much. Okay, so let's start. We we just came
off a very busy but fun weekend. We had a

(00:22):
show with the station called Party in the Park and
it was a party. It was a party. Let me
say the valley, Gilbert in particular, came out.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
There's never been a show of that magnitude in Gilbert, Arizona,
of all places.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
I love this for Gilbert.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
No crazy, I don't think I've ever seen that many
ball caps in Gilbert.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, shout out to Gilbert. Okay, let's explain for those
that don't know what Party in the Park is. The
lineup was insane. We had Pitt was a headliner. Hence
why we had so many ball caps. Yes, if you
know Okay, a lot of people don't know this, but
there's a thing that you do when you go to
a pit Bull concert. You wear a ball cap, you
dress up as Pitbull. It's like unspoken rule when you go.

(01:07):
It's it's a tradition.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
There was a lot of pipples, a lot of piples.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
So Pible was a headliner. Then we had Little John
Shaggy Baby Bash. Genuine No no, no, Genuine. Genuine was
on the lineup the ying in and mimes.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah that's that's a tea. So I didn't know this either,
but I guess people were clouding on Genuine. I love
you Genuine. No, I'm not clouding, but people were clouding
because I guess he was flying Southwest. Hey, I think iled.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I love south I.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Used to like Southwest until I started charging for bags
and I was like, what are you doing anyways?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
But I have points.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
But yeah, his flag got canceled, so he got taken off, right.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
A lot of flags have been canceled because of the
government shutdown. So unfortunately it happened to be Genuine flight
four Party in the park.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I really wanted to hear differences.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I know. Oh that's what baby Home has changed.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Baby.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I wanted to go see Genuine so bad for that song.
And you know the crowd was gonna go crazy for
Pony too.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
But yeah, I'm sure Angel would have been like humping
the ground.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was also excited. He was actually
more excited to see the Ying Twins because he's ratchet.
Oh yeah, you know how ratchet Angel is. But yeah,
that's what happened. So if you're like, what what the
heck happened to Genuine and his flight got canceled, I
was a very very last minute thing. So it was unfortunate,
but still such a good time.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Such a good time.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Shout out to really the ones that put it all together,
Activated Events.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Yeah, they were so good to work with. The whole
team was great, and I mean they know how to
throw a concert, but they put a crazy line up together.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
They do. And you know, I've been to so many
festivals and it's hard to kind of have like it
buttoned down, really be like super organized, you're no chaos
and easy. I thought this was incredibly organized, getting in,
getting out vip Ga, the artist, going on stage, them
working with us, so big shout out to the entire

(03:05):
crew because I thought it was like seamless, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Agreed.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Also shout out to j Phila.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, he really hooked it up.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, he was basically managing the whole stage announcements and
he was really nice, really welcoming, just like good people
in general and hooked it up. Hooked it up with
meeting Greed.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
No, literally that was so sick. We met Lil John,
we met Shaggy and the Ying Yang Twins.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, and this was all last minute, he like, We
were just like heck, yeah, let's do this, let's do
the thing, and it was everyone was so nice, and
I feel like, that's what's so cool about these like
older artists. They're so like, I don't know, they seemed
so humble, so down to earth. They wanted to conversate.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
They were complimenting, Like whenever we were leaving the y
Yang Twins they were like.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Hey, yeah, I was like, hey, I was so happy living.
They were like, yeah, we got that.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
And then Shaggy is just I don't know, he just
like has a good vibe about him.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
He does, but he it was me you and yah
Yah shall I say yah Ya from two Son came
up to work their show too, because she's part of
the Kiss team, And he looked at all three of
us and he's like, are you girls sisters who are
like basically you.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Know, I think so.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And then also Mo complimented Little John's he had.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
A crystal, he had a big old rock on his neck.
I was like, dang, that's crazy because it was like
a big chain and then a big old rock. I
was like, is that sitry? And he was like yeah,
like Loki, I can tell he was a little bit impressed.
I was like, oh, I know my crystal.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Oh he was so excited when you said that.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
And he was like strapped up with all the crystals
on his wrist too, like definitely protected and grounded.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
He wanted to talk crystals with you because as soon
as he saw that you knew your shit, he was
telling you all the braceles that that he had.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
And yeah, he had copper on, yeah, which I'm not
too familiar with, like the copper, like I know, I
think that one's a little bit more grounding. But yeah,
he just had like a good amount. And I think
he is on that journey, like a spiritual journey.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
He is, because I know he's sober. Yeah, he wasn't
drinking any alcohol. He was just drinking straight water. He
was chilling backstage, just there, just standing there watching.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Which is kind of surprising because I thought he had
he was planning to be there and then had to
go to another show or something.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Yeah, we had heard that he immediately had to go
to Vegas right after. But no, he was taking Yeah,
he was. He was talking to mom. He wanted to
tell crystals. Yeah. Oh. And then also Mo was getting
a whole lot of attention, a whole lot of attention
from this city. We need a security on security.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
No, tell me why this guy He literally like I
don't know. I was just trying to like get the
shot right, like whenever I'm backstage, I'm trying to get content.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Like nobody you were working mode.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
So I'm like moving past. I wasn't even close to him,
and he like and I like brushed past him, and
then he was acting like I threw him up down
and tripped him and everything. Jokingly, Yeah, but jokingly jokingly.
That became the running joke of the day. And I
think he just wanted to talk to me.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
He really did. He really did, because like every single
time we walked by him, he had it like something later,
get your attention, And I was like show. I was like, okay, Mo,
get it. Cardy can get us back stage at every
show for sure.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
He wanted to get something.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
And you were like you were straight up like just
zoned out focused because you were running our station Instagram account,
but he was like, hey girl, yeah, you're working too hard.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, every single time, I'm just like, yeah, that was
so funny.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I was just like blushing for you. Also, it was
so funny. Little it was. Man, it was a good time.
And you can hear my voice too, like, still every
inch of my body hurts and it's Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
But it kind of like it was one of those
things where I didn't expect to get as lit as
we did, but like I expected it, but I just
didn't expect for I don't know. The whole crowd was
just the vibes of energy. Everything was just perfect, well perfect.
The weather was perfect.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
It was a little hot at first at first, but
we managed. Shawn went down, It went down like around
five thirty. We were solid, We're good bye then.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, and literally all the millennial crowd was just vibe
in the whole time.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Bro, fifteen thousand people.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yeah, it was Oh my god, it was such a
good time.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
And I don't do this. I don't stay to the
very end of things. I usually leave like two songs
before it's over to avoid traffic and getting stuck, you know,
leaving the parking lot. Hey, No, I was probably one
of the last people to leave that park, and it
was I was happy.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I love that. I was just so happy you and
Mamma was such a vibe dude, and it was her
birthday and everything.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, so this was a big, big event for work
and I was excited for it, but it was also
my mom's birthday, and mister Worldwide is obviously global and
such a good time. I had seen pit Bow and
concert before and I just I remember how fun it
was because he doesn't have a damn he doesn't have
not one damn slow song.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
No, it's hit after after hit after hit.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
And you're dancing the entire time. So I asked my mom.
I was like, Hey, for your birthday, do you want
to go see pit Bull? And she was like, hick, yeah,
I want to see pit Bull. And I was like, okay, cool,
and she got really excited for it, and I was like, oh,
go on, this is like this is like a thing.
We're going to pit Bull. So I bought tickets for
my sister, my brother and like we all went celebrated.
I mean, we celebrated her birthday in the morning, like

(08:54):
saying happy Birthday, gave her her presents. But then at
the end of the day, we were all just dancing
and non stop with our ball caps. And I'm the weird,
crazy one in the family. My sister and my mom
not so much, but they were down for the ball Caps,
so it was a vibey. It set the tone for
like being goofy and silly and dancing and jumping, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
In the moment.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, it was a good time. It was one of
those birthdays that we will forever remember.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Oh yeah, that's core memories right there.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, for sure, for sure, And it's gonna take us
a water recover. Yeah, but we gotta do it again.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
I'm already like depressed. I misson. I love events like
that where we're just like constantly doing something. I don't
really like know what our next one is either, So
that's maybe why I'm a little bit depressed, because I'm like, damn.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I know, because it's like a long time leading up
to it. Yeah, a lot of preparing and a lot
of promoting.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
It was good to get to that day and it's like, dang,
we were just talking about this and now planning it.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, and you just have like the withdrawals now Withdraws.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
That's what it is Withdraws for another concert.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
This is just like crazy things that happen in this lifestyle, right,
check this out in a place an audio for you
see if you can figure out what's going on here
that one second?

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Okay, beauty hell yeah? An he should just call host
with Me ship Afternoons to do it. I do Afternoons
on Kiss two to seven.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Is that Brown? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Bro?

Speaker 3 (10:30):
He came back.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
He came back.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
You chicken?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
He did. He actually jumped on Kyle and Peyton's segment
that they do on our Instagram Try it Tuesday, No, Yeah,
and they yeah, he brought some chicken in for them.
And so I'm arriving at work and he had been
in the building before, he was on with Tino Cochino,
and he he came. I arrived to work and I
see him walking out, and I'm like, I was like,

(10:57):
Leondo Brown, is he really bad? So I got out
of the card. I was like, what are you doing here?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Man?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
You're back? And I joked saying that he should like
co host with Me in the afternoons because he's saying
he's trying to get a spot in the building. And
he was like like he was like dead he was
dead ass, and I was like, oh, I got a
boss to talk to you. I was like, this isn't
just like you know, free for all, like I can
do whatever I want. But he looked at me and

(11:22):
he's like, take my number down. I'm serious about this.
And I was like, oh, okay, bro. Yeah. I was like,
you know, take care, save travels.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
That's crazy and yeah, so random.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
It was so random.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I was like, what Tuesday afternoon.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I was like, what's happening right now?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
No?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Literally, I feel like that's one of those matrix tests,
like you can't tell what's real or not happening right now.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I'm so drunk from partying the park.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Literally, I would think I was shipping, Like am I
seeing things?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Oh my gosh, there's other audio that I want to
play for you. There's so much. There's so much since
I brought up Party in the Park again. There was
a moment. There was a moment where my brother in
law picked up my sister on his shoulders and they
were vibing out at the concert. And then I had
my best friend.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Angel for her. Yeah, she could just pick her up.
I know.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
It was It was so much fun.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
That's a big girl. That's my dream. I know.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I'm I had a big oldbadunkadunk.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Yeah. Literally, I got a lot a lot of junk
the trunk.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
You're blessed with that, Yeah, he bless for it.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
But I don't know if I'm gonna be getting up
on any shoulders.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Then I'm trying to pull up the video for you. Okay.
So yeah, so she got lifted and my best friend
Angel is waiting for my husband to lift me.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
But you know we're that's a valid question. Yeah, what's
going on?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Yeah, he always be He's got my back like that.
So he's like, cool, if you're not gonna lift Susette,
I'm gonna go lift her.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
So oh that's so nice of her.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Yeah, mind you, we've been jumped the whole time. So
he comes over to me and he's like trying to
put me on his shoulders, and this is what happens.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Shoulders.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I had a mom that I've pushed two kids out,
and jumping is not our best friend. I had trickled
out a little bit, a little bit of peepee, you know,
and I was like, dang, but like here's the thing.
You don't have to go pee you know what I mean,
you don't feel the sensation of having to go. It's
just it's just that's what happens when you jump. And

(13:37):
you had kids. So I had released a couple like
drops over there, and so I was aware of that.
And he comes in and he's like, bitch, put the
phone down and get on my shoulders. And I'm like, no,
I peepy to myself. I can't. And he's like, ill, bitch,
I walked away.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
I mean, at least bit.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
You just the look and he walked away. And I'm
just like, this was all caught on video, Like I'm
recording right now. This is all you can't see us.
You could just hear us. That's the kind of night
it was.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
That's so funny. I'm thought that you're like jumping around
having enough fun to just pissed your pants. Yeah. If
you don't piss your pants a little bit, well you're
not having that great of a time. Has a party
exact a party, And you know what, at least you
didn't put your kuchi pee on freaking angel's neck.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
And he should be grateful.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
He should be grateful rather than judging bitch, because.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
He would he would murder me if I got.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
On it, and at least he got forewarning. Maybe he
don't get no warning.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
You know.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
This is one of those nights too. We didn't have
the boys, so it was it was a good time.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
But what a good time?

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Am?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I love that man.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Name Angel's hilarious. And of course you saw the video
where he dropped into the splits.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Oh my god, that's what I'm like. I just that
video too, where he's doing the split's going crazy like
everyone went there for Pitbull, but all eyes are on him.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
All eyes are always on Angel. Always.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
My eyes will always be on Angel, Like any time
he's getting down, my eyes are on him, and I'm
cheering him on because.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
That's only and he loves you for that. Oh yeah
he I think somebody told him, like, Angel, you gotta
do the splits and he's like, no, you're crazy, okay
as if?

Speaker 3 (15:26):
As if?

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Oh, and we were like telling him to it has
to be during fireball. As soon as he goes fire ball,
he drops, you know. Yeah, And sure enough he did it.
Was Corey Graft a whole ass routine.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
When faced with a challenge, he will do.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
It, he will do it. But man, what else is
going on?

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Oh my god, life, life is happening. We've got events
on events on events.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Yeah, we do have events. It's crazy because like we
try to chill out because it's the end of the year,
but no, we are booked and busy.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Oh yeah with the holidays and everything coming up. I've
got friends giving Thanksgivings. You've got the tailgate, Like, yeah,
you've got to go to Tucson. I did something, What
did you do?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
So I'm going to be hosting a tailgate with Mode
Loo at the Jove football tailgate. It's exciting because usually
when we work with like MODELO or Corona, it's in Phoenix.
But I'm going back to my stomping grounds and I
love U of a tailgates. You of a tlgate are
so much fun.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Fun.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yeah, there are so much fun. So now I'm going
to be able to work, like have fun work in
events with MODELO and we're also going to have like
an after party. So very excited looking forward to that.
And last night I had a dream and I don't
know where this came from. I must have seen like
a video on Instagram, but Hannah Banana and Amaya Papaya

(16:44):
were partying with me at the tailgate because Hannah is
a Wildcat. She graduated from U Age. She is from
Tucson and she's been to a lot of yuo A events.
She was at the Red and Blue game at the
Michel Center, the U of A basketball team. So I
was like, you know what I'm gonna DM had had
a banana and email her and invite her to the tailgate.

(17:05):
Maybe she shows up, maybe she doesn't, who knows.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
But I just wanted to get a response.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
I literally just sent it before you walked in. I
think that's what I was doing on my phone when
you walked into the studio. So I don't like I
told her. I was like, no work, just fun, Like
if you want to join, you're more than welcome to
come party with us. Yeah that's fun, imagine, Yeah that
would be crazy.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
It's cut too.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
She's a cutie and I feel like she'd be so
much fun to to.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Oh yeah, she's a vibe definitely. Yeah, she brings the
good vibes.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, and I'm like, goofy. She did it up this
year on Love Island. Oh yeah, we'll see, we'll see
what happens.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Maybe you can get if you want to.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
It seems like they have x Peppe out complete. Yeah,
like he doesn't seem like he's doing anything with anyone.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, just on his own vibe. Did you see he
was fade?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Oh yeah Faith for Halloween. It's actually really good cast
like he did well.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah, he kind of looks like him.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yeah, with the glasses. I was like, okay, I could
have in your cattle. Gee, but whatever, fully married kids,
oh my god, maybe approves.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
But yeah, all this craziness going on, I'm still finding
time to watch all my shows.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
What are you watching right now?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
I'm watching Welcome to Dairy. It's like the origin story
of It Pennywise King. Yeah, it's scary. Ann is messed up.
Man like, ooh, it's gory and it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Is this based on true? Wait?

Speaker 3 (18:32):
No, this is like based on like the IT series,
like the books by Stephen King and like the series
that they did like back in the nineties or it was. Yeah,
it's like it's the clown but it's like the origin
story of that. It's not true.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
I mean I was like, that's what I was thinking.
I was like, is this kind of based on a
true story? Like Health based on the okay, based on
based on the books. So they made a show out
of it. It's crazy. Definitely, ten out of ten recommend.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah, it's HBO HBO. Yeah, I feel Max.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
I don't have Max, it's backstage Max.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Yeah. But I've been watching Stranger Things again.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Oh that's that's actually smart. I should get on that
because the final season.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Soon the day after Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
The day after Thanksgiving is part one of the final season,
and then we have the final Final Final Part two. Yo,
December thirty one, New Year's Eve. Weird but okay, yeah,
that's what I'm saying a straight time.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Just release it all at once. Let me just get
through it and that's it. Yeah but whatever, and yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Well, speaking of Stranger Things, did you see the rumors
that Millie Bobby Brown had filed a bullying like assault
like complaint against Harbor, which the dad Harper Harper, that's great,
that's his first name.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
It's why I see bullying a child.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Well, that's what we had all seen, Like there were
so many reports on that, and I was like, but
it was all rumored, like nothing had came from them.
And then when the red carpet happened, Bobby Brown was
seen like running to him. They gave each other a.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Big ol'd hug all allegations.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yeah, so I think them doing that was the way
of shutting down the rumors. But I think they might
kind of let it be and didn't address it all
for publicity. I mean, any publicity at this point for
the show is good. Yeah, you know, because they've kept
us waiting for a very long time. So maybe they
were like, okay, just let it be and was shut
down the rumors eventually. But yes, they kind of like

(20:28):
they were blowing up for a bit.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Interesting. I did not see that. But yeah, I'm glad
that they're fine.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
I'm glad they're good because that's.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
That's one thing that I questioned all the time anytime
there's drama, It's like why and is it to do?

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:42):
It does it make sense? Like for a grown man
to be out here bullying?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
What right?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Because there's a lot of little kid there was they
were really young when they were on sets.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
So that's what I think. Some people are just reaching sometimes. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah, it could be also something.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
That sometimes I reach too, So I mean I get
but the time the way I've reached it, Like.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
I am watching some shows too though, what are you watching?
So this is not my type? Of show whatsoever. But
it kept popping up on my top ten on Netflix,
and I saw that it had many Emmy Awards, and
so I was like, okay, let me give it a shot.
It's called The Diplomat.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Oh, I haven't watched that one.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
It's three seasons, and I didn't have anything. So I
started watching it. I couldnot get into episode one and two.
I was like, what the hell's going on? It seemed
like too smart of a show for me. It's it's
based on politics and all the political terms that were using.
I was like, I don't I don't understand. I don't
know what's happening. Like, I don't know what the heck
you just said, like all that that entire sentence, I

(21:47):
don't know any of those those words.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
That's real, that's real.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Yeah, And I was like, okay.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That's probably most Americans like reality.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Right, And I kept watching and now I'm fucked. It
is crazy and I'm gonna know all things politics.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Those are the best shows where you got to just
fight through the first Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
People, they really had to set it up because it's
like so many layers. I mean, it's really like the government,
like everything that happens from.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
They doesn't give you anxiety.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
It does because you're dealing with so many ambassadors, so
many people the CIA, like freaking top secret type stuff
that they can't mention, and then you kind of have
to remember, like who's who. It's a lot of characters,
it's a lot of information, so it's a lot of departments.
It's it's a lot. But I am hooked, Like now
I'm invested in the plot and I have to continue

(22:34):
watching it, which I'm glad to do for the plot.
Hell yeah, and it's three seasons, so I'm like, I
like this. Oh yeah, i'd be finishing shows way too fast.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Well, I like, I love having a good amount of
episodes to watch.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Yeah, that's for sure. It's always a good feeling. So
I'm watching that and I think that's it. I start.
I watched all first season of Doc on Netflix. It's
kind of like a modern Gray's Anatomy, Okay, and it
was good. It was really good. It's just done with it. Yeah,
and it's like on TV, so they're really seeing episodes
like weekly and it's not on Netflix yet.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Oh I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
I have kissing me off. Are we still doing that
old school TV stuff?

Speaker 3 (23:10):
Well, and the only show I really did that with
was the Summer I turned pretty I was actively watching it.
The reason why I like Love Island and Stuff so
much is because it's like every day I get an episode.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Every day, and long as episode I miss it. Which,
by the way, they're casting for season eight.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Yeah, they're casting, and I'm pretty sure Jazz already is.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
She applied to it. Yeah, while I didn't know wil
Bag Okay, Yeah, so I wonder if that'd be so
crazy if we see her. She's nervous about it though.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Yeah, I really think that she has a good chance
of like going. I just like I want them to
just hurry up and announce who's going to get casted. Yeah,
because me personally, like, I'm rooting for my girl.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
I know the way I know, but I'm nervous for her.
I would because you never know how they're going to
paint you, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
No, literally, I will riot if I ever tried to
put paint her in a bad light. I would riot
and cancel them and cancel. But uh, they also are
starting like the they're doing the Beyond the Villa series,
but with the last season's casting, they're doing Beyond the

(24:18):
Villa with last season's yeah, like with a Maya with
Chris who should be overseas playing ball already, because why
the fuck am I don't need to.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
See Chris anymore? I'm games or whatever.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Yes, And I didn't even watch that.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Season and it was actually really funny. Oh really yeah,
well who watched it? My friends Raquel watched it and
Sam I believe.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Well anytime I do think, like, you know, there were
some characters in there, not characters, but some of the
castmates that were in there, they are pretty like drama filled,
So some of that stuff I could see being funny,
but just anything with last season's cast, I'm just like,
I'm so I want to wash my hands of it,
never see them again. But all of a sudden, now
they're on Beyond the Villa. I didn't realize that they

(25:00):
were going to continue beyond the Villa.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
More so the Villa was more for season seven because
everyone I loved was it PBG.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Yeah, PPG and their whole storyline. But I guess it's
just beyond like after the Villa for whatever season of
Love Islands.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
It's just the thing. I guess that's just the thing.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
And yeah, it's fine, it's fine, but I'm not gonna
watch it.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I mean, it's if they can't get like the main people.
I don't really think it's gonna do anything for anyone.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
No, it's like like.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
I don't see hood of doing it.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
I know she's not.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
I don't see Shelley she actually had.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
I don't think we talked about that. Her whole racist
oh yeah remarks or will not remarks. She didn't make
any racist remarks. What happened was she was on Live
with Louis her Man's or whatever, and then she got
a call where someone said something racist and then she
laughed at it. She claims that it was because she
was uncomfortable, didn't know how to handle the situation, which
I can understand, but also like her reaction wasn't justified.

(25:57):
It still wasn't because she could have been like even
after it was like uncomfortable, she could have been like, no,
we don't stand for that, Like I know she tried
to actually didn't know what.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
She heard and they laughed and then turned off the stream. Yeah,
she's like, no, you address it right there, especially if
you laugh, and especially that's not appropriate.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
You've had more than one chance to redeem yourself and
you keep doing the same thing.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Bro too immature in all ways. She is way too
immature to handle that, right, that is.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
I fear she's cooked.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, she definitely done, done, roasted, mm.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Over cooked. Yeah, we'll if she not learned, I kept going.
We'll see if she learns from her mistakes.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
I don't know, man, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah, I really haven't seen anything from season seven anymore.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Like I don't really anyone any stuff. No, that kind
of just all went quietly because I think Jane's just
moving on, as we all do after breakups and such.
We all move on and just figure it out.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah, I mean that's all you can do.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
That's all you can do.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Yeah, you deserve better, That's how you can do.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, Yeah, it's fine.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Better. Everything happens for a reason.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Everything happens for a reason. And that's what I say.
I'm sorry. I guess I gotta address it.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
I don't want to, like I didn't want to like
go out and say it because you know, yeah whatever,
But yeah, I recently broke up with Pooky by real sad,
real sad about him.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
It's it's been a hunt minute now.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
It's been a minute, so I can address it and
basically I don't know. We still talk often, but it's
not like I just need him to grow. I need
to grow myself. There were things that I think, you know,
in relationships, things can really be brought to light where
you're unhealed, right, and sometimes you can heal together. But
right now I think we need to like heal apart

(27:56):
and then see what happens in the future. If it's
meant to be, it's meant to be as my way
of looking at it, and everything will work out the
way it needs to and in God's plan.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
You know, it takes a very strong person to be
able to let go of someone, especially when you want
to help them. And it takes like a very very
strong person to be able to deal with that type
of emotion, you know what I mean, because like you
want the best for them, Yeah, and sometimes when you
get caught up in those feelings and that type of relationship,

(28:25):
it's like you forget yourself, you know. And that's I
think the number one mistake that a lot of women
do is that they let go of themselves for someone.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
And that's the thing I can't just like set myself aside, right,
Like I can't ignore myself and what like my inner
feelings are, and like I can't put that aside, Like
I have to stay true to what I want, what
my standards. I've gotta like, I gotta like be true
to myself and be honest with how I'm feeling. And
if I'm being honest, it wasn't what was going on

(28:56):
wasn't working. So either like you can either meet me
in the middle and like try to fix this or
like we're not gonna like there's not gonna be a future,
you know. Yeah, And like that goes for not even
just like my relationship, but just anything in life that
it's like something's got to give, but I can only
give so much.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Right Exactly. That's very mature and like.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
I'm trying to be like more self aware. Yeah, and
like you said, it's been a hot minute, so I've
had a lot of time to think about it. It's
all I think about sometimes, so.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, yeah, you know, and it's something that takes a
long time to heal.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
And it's crazy, like breakups are crazy, like and this
is your first first ever.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
When you told me this was your first, I was like,
this is like a pivotal moment for you because it
it's almost like a your first breakup is almost like
an epiphany in life, like because it hits hard. I
never really first feel heartache. You don't know how the
hell to handle it. And you hear all these people
giving you all this advice about how they went through

(29:54):
it and how they were able to overcome it or
like heal from it. But everybody's process and experience is
so different, and you just have to go through it,
and it's something that you go through kind of alone.
You know, you have your support system, and you have
the people that can occupy your mind and your feelings,
but at the end of the day, you still go
through it on your own, right.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Yeah, that's tough. It was rough the way I broke
down so many times. Ugh, but we got through it.
We get through it with good breakup playlists.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Dude, those hit different.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Huh. Literally, It's crazy how much I can relate to
things so much more. I wish I never happened, like
I didn't have to feel the heartbreak. But sometimes, you know,
you feel heartbreak just to appreciate the love a little
bit more, you know, I feel like it's a different
level of appreciation that you can have, yeah, or the
good things in life.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
No, for sure, and it does make you stronger.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yeah, you could feel feel more deeply Like I I've
definitely become more aware of like how much I am
actually like what capacity I can actually feel at And
it's like so much greater, Like I thank God for
it because you know, life is a beautiful thing and
we're only human.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
And it's something we need to experience life.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
I definitely got to know myself a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Oh yeah, you handled it with so much grace though.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Oh yeah, I was like I do everything like that.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Yeah, you do. I was ready to riot my first one.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
No, it's never that. I that's a thing like I
don't ever want it to be something where I am
toxic to someone else or they're toxic to me. And
I never wanted to be any animosity.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
So like, let's it was time.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, it was just time to where it's like I,
let's not get to that place. Let's fix what we got.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
To fix, you know, very mature.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Yeah, because I could like I could easily say, yeah,
I just want to hold on to this, and but
that's like selfish of me, you know. I don't want
to like also in turn, just force something to happen
when it's not. Yeah, that's the bar.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
You can't force it.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Yeah, you got to be able to walk away. Sometimes
you just got to let go with love, you.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Know, Yeah, let go with love. You're dropping all these bars, bars.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
On bar on bars telling you. I've had a lot
of time to think.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
It's good and it's good that you do that. And
the thing is, like you have the strength to think
in a positive way. A lot of people go, they
get rock bottom, you know, they don't know what to
do with themselves.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
And that's the thing I think with whenever you come
to that point where you really look in the mirror
and it's it's between you and somebody else, it's like
you also have to be willing to take that accountability
in order to reach that level of uh, you know, maturity,
because if you don't actually take accountability or realize that
you play a part in things too, then that you're

(32:33):
not gonna.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Like you're gonna become better. You're not gonna become better,
You're just gonna stay in the.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Same victim mentality or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
That's where that all breeds exactly. Yeah, no, and I remember, like,
you know, baby, and I still talk about like our
past relationships and whatnot, and a lot of my past
really yeah, it's like we don't have you don't keep
any any at least I don't. But he tells me
a lot too. It's a you know what I mean,

(33:00):
that's the reason why I am how I am today.
And you have a little bit of better understanding of
each other when you know what you've been through. But
a lot of my like my two past series relationships
ended because like they cheated. But I always tell baby,
I'm like, yeah, even though like they messed up, I
wasn't like the best girlfriend, you know what I mean.
Like I was overly jealous with the last one, like

(33:24):
crazy jealous where you know what I mean, it's toxic
as hell, Like you also push them away for being
like that. Like I was not secured whatsoever. I was
like just kind of doing everything and anything he wanted.
I had lost myself completely, So I always explained that
to him, to him, like you have to also, like
you can't put all the blame in one person. You

(33:46):
really have to like look outside of yourself and be
like where did I mess up? And how do I
become better.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Right, better from this, because there's nothing like if you're
just sitting there blaming someone else for everything, exactly, there's
no way you can grow from it too.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Right, we maybe when I were not work out, if
I didn't learn that about myself, you know, right. So
it's like it really everything really does happen for a reason,
and they are all growing pains and it's only going
to make you stronger.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
And it does teach you like what you want versus
what you don't want. Yes, you know, yes, yes, whether
it be in yourself or in another person. Oh for sure,
deep got deep today.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
I could tell, I could tell you're on the right.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Path with thank you God, God's plan.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Yeah, I'm I'm very proud of you, like even though
like like I'm sad that you had to go through that,
you had to go through that.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Yeah, definitely, definitely.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
It's tough. It's crazy because like everybody experiences that at
a different time in their life. Like I experienced that
in high school, you know what I mean. Like, and
then I have a I have a friend that's also
going through that and he's in his thirties, you know
what I mean. It's so like it's crazy, but it

(35:01):
does change. It changes how you see everything, how you
see yourself. It's a little moment in life.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
It really is, and it's only up from here.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
It's not silly, but it's it's when you don't know
until you go through it.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, no, it's actually crazy. Yeah, and it hurt, but
yeah I survived. And that's the thing that I had
to remind myself. It's like it's all good, like, you know,
shit happens, and we still got to live day by
day after this. It's like I still got to remind
myself like I'm still here. I'm so good. Yeah, i

(35:32):
still got my loved ones, everything like that. It's all
good no matter what. Even he's still there, you know.
Like I think that's a real part too, Like you're
grieving like someone who's still alive basically, yeah, like because
a relationship it's dead where it was, you know, like
that's that's it and you have to go grieve it.
But I was like watching a lot of videos in
that time, so I heard a lot of things where

(35:55):
breakups are kind of like you treating your addictions because
you're so addicted to somebody, you're so used to having
them there you're like going through withdrawals from that person.
So like I kind of treated it like that too. Yeah,
it was.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
It was definitely saw a lot of stuff like that
that helped with mentality of well.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
And I think that's like where you can get really
caught up and like social media in a negative route,
like looking at all the sad stuff and like remembering
the past and how good it was and all of
this or how bad it or how bad it could
have gone or anything like that. Like it could be
really like social media can either be really depressing or
you can utilize it to train the algorithm to show
you positivity, like interact with the positive things. And that's

(36:36):
what I was trying to do, Yeah, like stuff to
elevate my mind to make me grow, rather than interacting
with anything that was like taking me in a direction
I didn't want to go.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
On a brain rot direction.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Yeah. Well I did do a lot of brain rotting.
I actually got into farming on my phone that I
gotta download a township. It's because like me personally, if
I don't occupy my brain, I just overthink, get overthinking.
I'm just sitting there just on a wheel.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
That's dangerous. Yeah, God, if that's your if your farming
is your thing, right now?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Yeah you got a farm? Well yeah, I definitely ran
some ran a bit, but like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
For you, wait, are we still doing this run in December?
That's next month.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
I actually I decided, I think I want to do
Diplos with you guys.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Hell yeah, you got again January January twenty.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
It gives me a little bit more time to train.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
But you gotta start now, yeah, like I do.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Gotta start now. Well, And the problem is too, like
whenever I have a little drink and drink, you know,
a little turn, I like to smoke cigarette.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
I thought you stopped that. I know I did, because
you got really sick one day.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
No, what happens? What happened? Wood? I used to smoke cigarettes,
and then I went moved to vapes, and then I
got really sick, and then I stopped the vapes, and
then now I'm back to cigarette.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
What you're starting? The site's all over.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
It's only when I drink. And that's how I started offline.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
We're not going to stop drinking. We're not going to drinking.
Like we got a drink. I did blow, I know
at the end.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Of it, and I'll probably have a cigarette too. Oh yeah, no,
I'm just kidding. You don't have my I know, that's
what I'm saying. So I really got to get my
That's where like this has given me a chance, an
opportunity to really work on myself. I realized that I
got I got some things I need to work on
clean up in my life.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Yeah, your new You st start a little by little
right now, asliche Yeah no, but I mean it's it's
a goal. Goals are good. Goals are good things to
you know, work towards. True, but it's not from one
day to another. You got to start now.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Yeah, you know I'm gonna start right now now. Yeah,
we're gonna go run in the post how girl walk
power power walk?

Speaker 1 (38:41):
It is way harder than running. Have you have you
ever like NonStop power walk?

Speaker 3 (38:45):
No?

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Oh, it will hurt so bad.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
Oh interesting, I'm gonna try it out.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Try it even if you try it for like two
minutes straight.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Dude. You know what Actually recently, so I'm on TikTok
shop and I sell things on TikTok shop or whatever.

One thing I recently bought that I'm really liking so
far as a vibration plate. And don't it's not nothing freaky, Okay,
I see your face. It's like one of those I

(39:21):
don't know. It's just like a plate. You stand on
it and it isn't that. It's so good. It's good
for not only release, yeah, releasing tension, but it also
is good for lymphatic drainage, muscle relaxation, Like it's good
like massage. So like you just yeah, there's like there's
different things that you can do on it that really
help you. H and yeah, I literally was standing on

(39:45):
there yesterday probably about nament. They say, don't do it
for like more than ten minutes, and even medium medium
vibration level. Yeah, medium vibration is just fine enough for
you to get what you need out of it. Like
you don't have to do like the highest level, just
do medium. It's fine. Lymphatic drainage go by in your link, bro.

(40:05):
Ten minutes or nine minutes, I burned like two hundred
and something calories.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
That was like that, I just.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Help me like poop.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Actually, yeah, that was the first time I ever did it.
I had a bowel movement. Yeah. So go to my
TikTok shop and.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
I really I really need that.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
Yeah. We're going into twenty twenty six healthy and better,
better than we ever have been.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
How do you go to your Okay, make sure it's
in mine. I'm a boomer.

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
