Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Scrub dub dub in the tub, tub Tub.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
It's a Dear Bonya episode. Tis we are here to answer? Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:24):
No, fear Bonya is here.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
It's also a super Bowl episode, the last episode before
the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Let me tell you if we know the Scrubbers, they
really care aboutpisode.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I think, Yeah, what's the plan? What are you guys doing?
Big Chiefs Eagles game?
Speaker 2 (00:43):
We're gonna be driving back from Oh do.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
You think time? You will make it home in time
to watch the super Bowl at three thirty Pacific time.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I actually don't know if we'll be back.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Wow, how do you not know?
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Well? Customs takes it?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Oh does he know anything?
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Know anything? The airport?
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Who knows stuff?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
So I'm like, I think it just depends on.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Leave.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
But yeah, the tail one depends on when we leave.
So I don't know. Is Robbie doing anything for the
for thee.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
I should hang out with a Robbie.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah No, I don't. I don't think he's doing anything
for the super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah, so, well, were we'll be coming back that day.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Cool, but like, are we coming back morning or midday
or night?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Kind of up to us?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
How is it up to us?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
It's just up to us?
Speaker 3 (01:41):
So it's an airbnb.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Anyway.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Wait, who don't you have.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
To checkout times?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah? Check, but you can kind of choose like when
you wanna head home, if that makes sense. Gotcha what
I'm saying? Are you all rooting for anyone? Are we
just like hoping that.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
I don't care? I don't. I mean, I don't want
the Chief to win again, but I can't room for
the Eagle Soles fans are just kind of notoriously obnoxious.
Like there's a viral video of a woman going to
an Eagles game a couple of weeks ago in the
other team's jersey and they were yelling the sea word
at her from all around her, and I just feel
like I can't root for those folks. So I don't know.
I'm just going to enjoy the game and hope that
(02:24):
it's a nice game, and I'm going to enjoy the commercials.
I'm going to enjoy Kendrick Lamar and just enjoy the
holiday of it.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
I'm over commercials.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Why they're so fun?
Speaker 3 (02:33):
You know what. I'm over them.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
I've been watching them in advance. That's how into them.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
I'm so nineteen eighty two.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Why are they having them in advance? Right right?
Speaker 4 (02:42):
That happens almost every year now for some reason, they're
all on YouTube before the actual game, which I don't
get why they do that, but they.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Do that pisses me off.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Why did they do that?
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I don't know, but I really enjoy get to see it.
I enjoy. I'm telling you right now, David's Backham.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
One is enjoy it because we need to enjoy it.
The day of the fair enough, that's weird. Why spend
all this money because feel it? I'm with you, hype
going anyways? Okay, well who are you rooting for the Eagles? Oh? Strong?
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Why is that?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Robbie likes them? So my association. I have no idea.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
There are two teams that have had a lot of
success recently, and I like the underdogs. I got it
had been fun of the Bills in there or the Commanders,
because neither one of them is won in decades, so
that would have been neat. But we get what we get.
We don't get upset. We enjoy bad food. And watch it.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
One thing about me, All I want is a good game,
A good, safe, fun game.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Do you Yeah you have No, you're not pooling pooling
for anyone?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
No, Like I won't have feelings, I won't have feelings.
I won't have strong feelings either way.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Uh huh, I usually never do.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I think it'd be I think it'd be fun if
the Eagles won, just because the Chiefs are so dominant
and like they always come back and win it, so
I think there'd be something fun about that. But I
also am like, good for them another win, put it
in the record.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yeah, the best team. Again. I know nothing about football,
but for the best team, then like, good on them
for winning all the time.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
There's the thing, right, the better you are when you
get to the top, the more haters you have.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Yeah, teams get better every like, Yeah, draft, better draft
whatever that means. Yeah, draft better shower, better train.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
They're probably dirty. They're probably not winning because they're just
weighed down by their dis like not being clean.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
I don't know what goes into all of it. All
I'm saying is why must we punish the Chiefs for
being the.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Best the People's Choice store two years in a row.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Exactly right, and people were probably so sick of it.
Probably we got booted out of that nomination, right.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
And like you can't fault us for being the best.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Actually we got nominated one more year.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Were the chiefs of that category Chamberlain.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Of the podcast in the Chamberlain one that year, el right.
And then after call her daddy came, I said it
was spun walls.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I'm not sure she's ever won it.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, I don't. Yeah, I don't know either.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I may say scrubbing into better?
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Did they even do the People's choice the words this year?
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah? I feel like I only saw the country one.
I saw it get announced, and then I was trying
to find out who was nominated. I could not find
any information about it whatsoever. Yeah, alright, p.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Should we do one? Should we get into our dear bonya?
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Yes, here we go. This is from anonymous back in
time your market Easton. I need all the help with
this one. I'm twenty seven, I'm married with two kids,
but I'm very close to my twenty year old niece
since we're close in age. I became the cool aunt
after marrying her uncle six years ago, and I was
there for her during her teen years. Two years ago,
I helped her leave a toxic first love, which allowed
(05:54):
her to enjoy college, join a soro already, and focus
on herself. Well that's Christmas. She introduced her a new
serious boyfriend, which raised some concerns red flags. He doesn't
match any of the qualities you wanted in ifuture husband.
He doesn't go to church, he's a bartender. She didn't
even drink before this. He wants to move her two
hours away, and he has no real goals in life.
(06:14):
I voiced my concerns. She brushed them off. She said
he's a good guy. He treats her well. Over the
past month, she has changed, going out more. She even
missed her nursing school entrance exam. I know she's caught
up in the moment, especially with her roommates getting engaged
in throw already sisters in wedding mode. But I worry
she'll look back in five years and regret wasting time
on this guy. How do I approach this again and
(06:35):
help her see he's not the one before it's too late.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Anonymous cool ant. I think you know the answer that
we're all going to give you, which is that you
cannot control who she is dating or ends up with.
And I think that the more that you push and
try to out of this relationship, the more she's gonna
(07:02):
pull away from you. I think your best option is
to be there for her while she navigates this, because
she's most likely going to come to terms with the
things that aren't healthy, and you want to be able
to be a support system for her, even though you
don't agree.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yeah, I feel like you can't. You've already tried to
do it once and if she wasn't receptive. I just
feel like there's something about getting involved with people's relationships
that can go very south, because I feel like if
you try to push too hard, you might push her
away from you, and that's like worst case scenario. So
(07:40):
I think you just have to be there for her.
You can still like raise your flags without having to
like have a come to Jesus conversation. Yeah, so I
think you do it that way.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Yeah, not your circus, not your monkeys, yeah, not your clowns.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
And I do think if she comes to you and
says like, oh this happened, what do you think, I
think you can go. I think you deserve better. I
think you can say it, but still be a safe
space for her, because you don't want to get to
a point where she doesn't even talk to you, and
then you're really gonna worry because you're not gonna know
anything that's going on. So I think you stay as
a support system, be there for her, let her know
(08:15):
that you love her. And she's gonna have to figure
it out the hard way unfortunately.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Yeah, and when she does, you'll be there for her.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yes you will, Yes, you will.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Oh, we have a shout out. Hey beca Tanya Mark
and Easton, my childhood bff and I are Day one listeners.
I wanted a shout out Emily who got engaged today.
We love listening to you guys, and we like to
discuss things as if we're all one big friend group.
Even though we're spread out through southern California. This podcast
(08:48):
brings us together. Tanya Wedding planning advice. Now Emily gets started.
We love you guys so much. Love Caroline and Lizzie. Yeah,
and they included a picture there. I believe this is
Emily and her fields.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
The picture rainbow And there's a rainbow and they're under
like a really cute little umbrella. And she's holding flowers
and there's.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
A dog, dog with a beg.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Yeah, that's really cute.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Congratulations Emily. What's your advice, Tanya?
Speaker 3 (09:15):
So my advice to you is this, Emily, buckle up.
I'm kidding. Uh. I think what you need to decide
is if you want to do a full blown wedding
or if you want to do something small intimate. I
feel like really having that honest conversation with yourself and
(09:38):
then just like starting from A to Z bad advice.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Well, no, like, like what's the first Like, in hindsight,
do you wish you had done anything different in the
planning process? Do you think, yes, finding a wedding planer
was like crucial right off the bat, someone that you
were excited about.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
I think, in hindsight I would have done a lot different.
But I think that deciding between the big and the
small wedding is like the key. I didn't realize how
hard it is for me to like plan stuff until
I was like in the thick of it, you know
(10:17):
what I mean, Like, I didn't realize that, Like I
love having people over and I love hosting people, but
I love it intimate groups. I've never had to plan
something for this many people, and as somebody who wants
to make everybody happy, it's been like very very difficult,
and so I wasn't like prepared for that. So I
think really like sitting with yourself and deciding what you
(10:37):
want for you. If you want a big, full blown wedding,
then you need to just like come to terms with
some people are not going to be happy with some
of the decisions that you make, and you just have
to like be okay with it.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Do what do you?
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Do you?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Because I think there's gonna be a lot there's so
many opinions and there's so much coming at you, and
you might get sidetracked and and say or do things
that you might not necessarily want. And then you know,
so just staying you really sit down with your husband
and figure out what you guys actually want and then
execute fiance.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
She's in her fiance era.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Sorry did I say husband? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Jumping the gun.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Yeah, we're so happy for you. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
This next one, I want to read her how she
found scrubbing in before I read her question. It's anonymous,
but this is what she said. She said, I know
you like to hear how listeners found scrubbing in. I
can't say I'm a day one scrubber. I've been loyal
listener since March of twenty twenty four, so coming up
on a year. I came here by way of Tanya's book,
The Sunshine Mind. I'm a big fan of cooking shows,
including Selena plus Chef, where I was introduced to Raquel
(11:36):
after learning she co authored a devotional I bought myself
a copy that book introduced me to Tanya, and when
I heard out that she hosts a podcast, I had
to listen. I know you hear this all the time,
but this podcast shed so much light, joy and positivity
into the world. Thanks for continuing to show up and
bring this podcast to listeners.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
WHOA so cool? I love that the author, the author,
the co author.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Wow, you know what's interesting is like that book, Like
I forget that people bought it, like.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
That it's on shelves of people's homes.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Yeah, it's so crazy.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
But also she only knows you as the author of
a devotional book and this podcast. She doesn't know you
from the Seacrest Show or anything else. All right, Anyway,
her question is, my husband and I don't have kids,
but all of our friends do, and We love being
part of their lives. The biggest struggle we face is
the germs. Every time we hang out, at least one
(12:32):
person in their family is sick. We understand that kids
bring home germs from daycare in school, but we wish
we were giving a heads up before we arrived. When
we brought this up, our friends get annoyed and said
they'd never do anything if they rescheduled every time someone
was sick. We try to lead by example, letting them
know that if we might be sick before I hang out,
we're not going to come, you know. But they don't
offer us the same courtesy. It feels like they don't care,
or they assume it's not a big deal since we
(12:54):
don't have kids. We've started avoiding all of our friends
for two weeks before important events just to avoid getting sick.
We love them, we want to be in their lives.
We can't handle one more fun hangout turning into a miserable,
ten day cold. Would love to know how you all
would handle this.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Seriously, this is so funny.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
This is so funny because there is this weird thing
with people with kids versus people without kids. People with
kids are so unhinged. About germs, like they're so nonchalant
about it. It's like it's just a cold, it's allergies
and the kids got like snot coming out of like
every orifice. And you're like, I don't want that whatever
(13:34):
that cold is that minor cold that you're claiming, I
personally don't want that, and that is a big deal
to me. Like someone will be like true, someone will
be like, yeah, we just had pink eye, and I'm like, okay, okay,
can you just stay home? I'm sorry, but or tell
me so I can stay Oh my, I'd rather stay home.
It's so true.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
And being someone who like as like a step parent
with kids, like I have kids, they're not my own kids,
you know what I mean, Like I didn't birth them,
and so there's this like weird thing because like you
do get thrown into this world like they do, they
just bring germs. It is what it is. And so
it's just funny because I know exactly what Anonymous is
talking about, because it is it's just so like something
(14:15):
is always sick. Am I No, no, no, that's no.
Not everybody, Like.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
My sister has five kids, and it'll be like it's
just not even a thing, if one of them sick,
there's no, we're not canceling anything. It's just yeah, you
move forward. Yeah, and everyone just take your vitamin see
and load.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Up constantly, just taking quick defense and just topping those things.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Like anybody on the staff is sick, she is freaking out.
Sistney was out most of this week, which she worked
from home, which we have the ability to do, know,
which is great. Yeah, she came back into day times
like are you sure? Is it sure? I'm sure it's
it time for her to come in on.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
This is actually valid, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
It doesn't change always this way.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
No, when I have big life events coming up, which
I happen to have a lot coming in, always.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Very paranoid when anyone on the staff is sick. I
don't remember one time I had a little tickle in
my friend. Oh God, you were like in a bubble
because you're.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
So close to me.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Emotionally, you were hacking a little bit.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
It was like a headache. I'm like, get out of here, but.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
There is this thing that and I'll be so I
just know what's going to happen with all of you
when you have kids and you're like, I just need
a break to hang out with my friends, and it's like,
the kid has a cold. You're like, I'm not going
to tell Becca because like I can't risk her not
coming to hang out. I'm desperate.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I would never have you come into my home with
a sick child without telling you, like, hey, I do
that even now, if like one of the kids is sick.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh. I think I think there should be a courtesy.
I do think it's kind of because then you have
the option. I think her friend should anonymousis friends should
give them the heads up just so they know what
they're going into at the very least.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
That's what I think, But they don't. I get what
she's saying. Look, my advice is find new friends.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
I don't think you find new friends. I think you
just say hey. I understand where it's a very different
phase of life and your your view on sickness and
colds is very different than mine. And I know it
changes when you have kids. But I'm not in that situation.
So if you could just give us the heads up
if we're coming over and the kids are sick, that
way we can make the decision.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
From December to February, just don't leave your house.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
And we have our best friends. Our best best friends.
They lived in the valley and we lived out in
Thousand Oaks and that's like could be like an hour
with traffic, so we rarely saw them. Well, they moved
out by us, like, oh, this is going to be great.
We're going to see each other all the time. The
sense that really struck me in this email was our
friends get annoyed and say they'd never do anything if
they rescheduled every time someone was sick. Yeah, we reschedule
every time someone was sick. We never see them ever.
(16:54):
They live three exits down the freelway. We never see
them because we always plan this Sunday, let's get together. Okay,
it's going to be great. The day before, sorry, so
and so sick. Okay, well that's that. Yeah, we never
see them. So yeah that's reality.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
No, I agree. I think that's true. And I think
it's really I think that's hard when you're the one
with kids and the people who don't have kids are like,
I don't want to be around your German kids. You
know what I'm saying. I think it's hard. I also
think there has to be a level of respect and
uh just thoughtfulness in that regard yeah, I'm.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
With you, anonymous, fine new friends.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Don't remember.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
We'll look back on this.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
People that are so nonchalant about germs, keep your germs
to yourself.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
You heard it here first, and we'll be right back.
Oh all right, that was a groundbreaking moment that Tanya
(18:04):
got the timing right for commercial. If you listen to
this podcast regularly, she does try often and we're always
like no, But that was smooth professional.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
That's a fine wine.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
We have an opportunity here, a simple life opportunity.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
So Tanya said a few weeks ago on the show
that she could live anywhere. She doesn't care. All she
needs is Robbie and that's it.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
No Wi Fi dog dog friends.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Friends, that's it. That's all you need. Grocery store, living,
city country.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
We set friends because no one else I didn't say friends.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Friends could be part of the weekend activities the grocery
store run.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
Yeah, okay, well we got some response to that. And
here's Jamie. No, not Jamie, here's Kana Keana says hi
Becka Tanya Mark and east and midwestern very small town
dairy farmer here. I'm just saying I'd be more than
happy to host you too. For research purposes for Tanya.
How funny would that be? Northern Michigan farm country, very
cold at the moment. Would love nothing more. You're welcome
(19:11):
any time to come hang out with me on the farm,
Mark and Easton. You're welcome to a podcast from the
farm in northern Michigan. Sounds fun to me. Thanks for
always making my week. I'm going to check, by the way,
that northern Michigan they call those yupers up there upers
because it's the Upper Peninsula up the upers up there.
Let me see what the temperature is in northern Michigan
(19:31):
right now in February.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Here's the thing. Please, none of us other than Tanya
said any interest in going and being on the farm,
the small farm. But I do think Tanya should go document,
bring her little camera, ring light and document her doing
the farm chores with Kiana.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
First of all, with all due respect Kana, I did
not say that I could go and live on a
farm with Kiyana and her family in the farm. I said,
if Chrystal's were my husband, and my husband happened to
live on a farm like so meaning Robbie, if he
lived on a farm, I could to move to said
(20:13):
farm with him in our own home, milk, some cows,
walk the dog, watch a lot of fun TV. Do
my plates on video from my house, get a little
performer in there, you.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Know, do it up.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
I could do it, make my own everything.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
We all dispute it still, we don't think you could
do that. But the temperature right now, and I just
picked a random town, Northport, Michigan. It's twenty three degrees gorgeous.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
I would not leave the house.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
You need a lot of puffers.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Yeah, but my house is going to be so huge, right,
aren't the houses big?
Speaker 2 (20:53):
I'm sure you.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Could potentially, Yeah, barns are big.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Yeah. Could you imagine so much space? How many that
his towers?
Speaker 2 (21:00):
I could have every room.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Every room could have its own midst, Every room.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Could have its own lettuce tart. Okay, so you're not
interested in going to the.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Farm again, Let me repeat myself. What if Robby came,
If Robbie were to want to move to a farm
with me, I.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Just want you to go for a I just want
to experience you in your simple life era on a farm.
You and Robbie Beverly Hills nine o two one oh.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Three feet on the ground like to the Upers. Yeah,
that'd be a pretty good show.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
That would be a great show I'd watch.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Well. I hope Robbie gets a job in northern Michigan.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
No, I'm not saying no. Okay, Okay, We're.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Gonna revisit this.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
We also got a lot of response to the talk
of Danny Austin. Again, this is a big one, Jamie says,
Hi Beck at Tonya, Mark and Eastern. Actually, sorry, I apologize.
I just want to start off by saying I'm a
Day one listener. Love listening to you since the beginning,
and it's kept me busy on my long drafts to work.
I look forward to it every week and the two
days a week now makes my heart so happy. I
(22:10):
also followed Danny. She's very open and I love it.
I have a four year old. I had fertility challenges.
I love being pregnant, but it's so different for everyone.
Labor is completely different, and my best advice is don't
have so many expectations, have an idea of a birth plan,
but also go with the flow, as anything can happen.
I love being a mom. It has its challenges as
anything does, and it's not easy, but you figure out
(22:31):
how it works with your lifestyle. Kids are amazing. I
am someone who loves the infant stage, but every stage
has its challenges. It's such an exciting time to start
thinking about it. Don't let us stress you out. Do
what works for you. And once you're a mom, it's
the same and you have to listen to your gut.
Excited for your wedding. Tanya, you guys are the best.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
I love the infant stage too, that's my favorite stage.
Like the babies I've been around, like they're not walking yet,
but they can hold their head up. That stage where
they're like chunky and like kind of babbling, that's like
the best to me cause when they start walking up
to chase them everywhere, and that seems like back pain.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
An old bossom had said to me. Once you set
them down and they don't stay where you set them down,
that's when things start to go real fast. And I've
found and of course I'm on the other end of
it now, but boy, once they can drive goodbye, that's
pretty much your time as their parent is done. They're
gonna live with you for a few more years, but
you're never gonna see them, and that's gonna be that
(23:24):
that independence is really a major change because at first
you're like, oh, this is great, I don't have to
drive her to dance, Like I bet I drive my
youngest daughter to dance seven times a week. Well, no,
because I got to go there end backs. We're probably
talking ten to twelve times a week. I drive to
the dance center and back, and the dance center and back.
It's a lot. And so oh she can drive herself.
(23:45):
I don't do that anymore. Oh my gosh, you gonna
be so much time. But then you realize there is
so much quality time spent in that car together. Those
are good conversations. That is bonding going out in that car.
And when that's gone, you realize how little bonding you
do other than that. Right, you're just kind of in
the house together. You're not having those conversations every day
that you had in the car. So when my oldest
(24:05):
started driving, that was the real adjustment. Like, oh, man,
I miss her and she's still here in the house
with me, but I miss her because those conversations are gone.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
It's depressing.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
And now she's in college crying.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
No, but that's depressing.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah, it's like you put all this work.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
In and then you just get a car there out.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
You remember what it is you that.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
When oh, when I got my car and I had
my CD, uh like envelope that had Oh my god, man,
they'll never know.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
They'll never know. They just sy bill cover. I did
not have a cover hot, pink, fuzzy.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
It's so funny to watch her because I have to
be with her, because she's got a permit busher sits down,
plugs in that phone, puts on the playlist she wants,
hits media on the dashboard, puts on the sunglasses, just
those mirrors, and she's it's so great, It's really great.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
So cute.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
All right, Michaele's fighting the number eighteen? Did we? Oh hey,
scrubbing and pot. I wanted to write in a stand
up for my favorite number. I know there's been some
back and forth on Tanya's favorite number being eighteen? Are
we anti that? I don't remember as being anti eighteen?
Speaker 2 (25:20):
I think we were just like, why right?
Speaker 4 (25:24):
I want to write and let you know that not
only is my birthday the same as Tanya's July eighteen,
cap my favorite number has been eighteen my whole life,
and I'm twenty four. The number Eighteen has always been
very good to me, and I always seem to show
up in most random places. I recommend one hundred percent
having eighteen is your favorite number and you should never change.
Love the pod, Tanya, stay with eighteen. It'll treat you well.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
And you know why I love eighteen because eight plus
one equals nine and it's the year of the nine.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Okay, the change next year your pipe. You know what's
so crazy is that eighteen is such a huge number
in my family because that was my brother in law's
number when he played to LS. So it was like
all my nephews, you know, that's like eighteen. There's such
a thing around eighteen. So I'm I'm very familiar with
the passion around eighteen. It just didn't make sense for you.
(26:15):
It's still My birthday is on the eighteen.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
That's it. I love the number eight infinity it never ends.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
And you and Robbie are going to be together for
one infinity one eight eighteen.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
We're getting not married on the eighteenth.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
No one you didn't know at that point.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
This is a yeadatatious favorite number.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Yeah, thank you, thank you, Caitlin.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
Hello friends, So I wrote in before and had you
guys categorize the original grays interns as Tanya's or Becca's
And it was fun. So now let's do friends much
like Becca. Friends is my comfort show. I go to
bed watching it on Nick at night every night. So
who is a Tanya and who is a Becca? I
can't wait to hear your take. Thanks for all that
you do, the four of you. I could not be
more obsessed with Mark. They know that's nice. Bring me
(27:03):
The four of you bring me so much much needed
stress free happiness.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
By the way, do you know what Robbie said to
me the other day? What So when we got our dog.
Becca is one of my best friends. She named her
dog Phoebe. Pauline is another one of my best friends.
She named her dog Joey. I was like, we have
a Phoebe and a Joey. We need to name our
dog a friend's character. Whichever one right, And they were like,
he was not into it. And then we landed on Sunny,
(27:30):
which is like, she's totally a sunny girl. But yesterday
Robbie looks at her, he goes, she does look like
a Rachel.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
She's so.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
It was so it was the best opportunity.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I had to let you do it, you how to
do because it was your dog and whatever. But I
was like, she is a Rachel.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
She is a Rachel. She is pristine, she's gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
She has a lot of anal gland issues though, like
a Rachel, such a Rachel thing, Rachel Greens.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
And sometimes with the wrong haircut, it gets a little dicey.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
Rachel Green doesn't have a single bad haircut the entirety
of friends.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Yeah, she does in the beginning eight Yeah, in the
beginning years. When it's like, but is.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
The pre Rachel, right, are you saying pre Rachel?
Speaker 3 (28:22):
No? No, she was Rachel at the time. Rachel Rachel,
the like short one. I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Rachel.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
She's definitely a Becka.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
How about Monica Geller, Tanya? How about Phoebe Tanya? How
about Chandler Bing?
Speaker 2 (28:40):
I think Beca the sarcasm, Yeah, okay. And Joey's you
so I always when I watched the show, there's things
that Joey, Phoebe and Monica dor say and I'm like,
that is so, Tanya. I think Monica's energy to me
is the most you like her like passion and like
how she like screams things when she's excited. That's so
(29:03):
you to me.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Sometimes Phoebe does things where I'm like, that is just
Tanya trying to come up with a word, you know,
that vibe. Yeah, and then Joey does things sometimes just
randomly where I'm like a huzzled, like I would say,
like ten percent Tanya.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
So you're Rachel. Because Rachel's just the perfect one. I
feel like you're like the perfect one.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I'm not the perfect one.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
You are, though, don't you think she's the perfect one.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I'm not the perfect Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Yeah, she's like teacher's pet.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
You're totally teacher's pet.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
I'm like the opposite of teacher's pet. You guys come on.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Everything by the book. You're literally like show up for
anything and everything you're asked to do with like.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Because I have to. We're all get booted out of you. Rachel.
Let me tell you it's.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
The in school. I bet you were a major teacher.
Yeah yeah, mister Martinez, finitely have a favorite student and
it was you.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Yes, definitely. Okay, But I'm saying now in life.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Does that change that much?
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
The people that are in charge here that aren't big
fans of yours. I feel like that's on them. It's
not because you haven't been a proper teacher's pet, like
you're some sort of rebel or something.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
No, no, I'm not saying I'm a rebel. I'm just saying
Becca is the favorite.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Well, I don't know how. I haven't seen Beck interact
with an authority figure.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Who are who? And I'm saying, like, who are you
saying I'm the favorite? To like, who are you saying? No?
Speaker 4 (30:36):
No?
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Oh yes, yes something there, thank you, thank you? AnyWho?
Becca is the Rachel in that regard. And then now
I do see the Chandler, the sarcasm, the funny quips
like quick on his toes, that side of Chandler. Now,
Ross Geller is an interesting one. Who is he?
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Ross's Robbie? I see so much of Robbie when Ross
does certain things you do?
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Yes, well, first of all, that's not the game. It's
Tanira back up.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, Ross might be a combo yeah, because
I don't know that I really identify with Ross.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
I don't think I identify with him, but he's my
favorite character.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
The show is based around him. So I was Robbie
at Ross there's certain things that he does, you know
how Ross when Robbie's want to say something goes like that.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
Ross. Oh my god, when Robbie's tried to explain something
and he starts and he's like yeah, like he's thinking,
so he like makes this sound what are you are
you kidding? He was, yeah, you'll notice it, okay, but
(31:52):
it's like he's thinking of what just how to answer.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
So it's like Ross Rousse will do it sometimes.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yeah, it's really funny. I would say. I would say Ross, Yeah,
well I think yeah, Russell's bonnya you'll know.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Now I'm going to pay attention.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
I've never noticed that when you take one more break,
we have a very sweet email on the other side.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Great, her truth is ready, I think coming back from
(32:43):
the break.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
That's right, I'm gonna go get it put in tomorrow. Wow.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Congratulations.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
By the way, if we discussed the fact that her
dentist is a thousand miles.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
From here, yeah, it's strange.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
It's a deep Orange County and the.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Orange County it's La County. It's the La County. Yeah,
up until Long Beach.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Someone who changes dentists every time I go because I
always think I'm going to find someone who makes it
less miserable, and it's just that the dentist is miserable. Sounds,
it's everything. But I'm like, there's got to be someone
in the LA region close in the Beverly Hills region
you live. Probably Oh, her lights, not her internal lights,
but her out well.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
We're internal lights. Next, Like, I.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Feel like you could find the best dentists in the
world in your zip code.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
First of all, it's not about the best dentist. There
are so many good dentists. However, this dentist is my uncle.
So it's like I can go on if I book
an a point, you know, with our schedule. If I book
him on like a Tuesday or whatever and I can't
make it, I just text them and say, hey, I
can't make it. Can I come Thursday. I can't do
that with a normal dentist.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Yeah, I didn't realize it was your uncle.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Yeah, be at the wedding, Okay, I can't.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Wait to meet him. Yeah, I'm looking for might be
able to do it touch up if you need.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
A touch up. Yeah, my tooth is my wedding gift.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Like I was like, thank you.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Quite aposse, you have your aesthetition there, your dentist truly
your coming to Khanya rolled deep.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Yeah, my dentist is my dad's best friend, so like so.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Not actually your uncle.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
He's not my real uncle, but like basically my uncle.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah, yeah, all right, this is very sweet.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
This is also another example of how people find us
random ways they find us. I guess I assume it's
all all people in knew Becca from the Bachelor and
people in Nutania from the radio show Hi Beca, Tanya
and Easton and Mark. I've been listening to the podcast
for two point five years now. I originally listened to
it after Becca and Haley became public. I wanted to
know who the girl who stole lesbian Jesus's heart.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Was, Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
And if she seemed like a girl who was going
to be good to our sweet and swaggy Haley.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
And I gained so much more. Not only did I
learn about Becca and the wonderful when that she is,
but I was introduced Tanya, who is hilarious and unapologetically herself,
as well as Markernis. There were some of the sweetest
guys and have the best one liners the entire scrubbing
group with a smile in my face. Every week I
laugh and I learn so much from you all. The
(35:15):
podcast truly changed my life, and I will say this
to anyone who will listen. I am forever grateful. I
was originally emailing you all because I'm dealing with a
broken heart, but I don't think there's a point in
asking for advice when I know the answer. I've been
wanting to email you all for over two years because
I genuinely loved the podcast. So as long as you
all read this, I'll be happy.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Laura, Laura, we love you.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
About the girl who stole Swaggy Hailey. Sweet Swaggy Haley's heart.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Sweet Swaggy really sums Haley up honest perfectly perfume like.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Haley.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
But it sounds like she came to the show with
a little bit of a chip on her shoulder, Like, well,
let's see who this is. She can't be good enough
for our Look how the one that she is?
Speaker 3 (36:06):
I love that Harper?
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Yeah, who.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Risen Harper?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Her husband is shared?
Speaker 4 (36:18):
Oh right, yeah, right, right right, Oh that's right. She
came with a chip on her shoulder.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Let me hear her.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
That's amazing, that's so cute.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Laura.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
I'm sorry you're going through a broken heart, but I
hope that our silly podcast can bring you some joy
while you're navigating it.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
You can do so much better than that person, exactly.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
And you know what a broken heart just means that
it can be put back together, and you're going to
put it back together, right because you're gonna love again.
You will, and that person will take care of that heart.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yes, yes, exactly. We love you, Laura. That was so
nice to the podcast.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Yeah all right.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Well, next time we're back, we will be discussing, uh
the super Bowl. Will Taylor Swift come out with Kendrick
Lamar for Bad Blood? Stay tuned.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
We will will still be here, That'll be gone, that'll
be gone.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Say goodbye because they will never see her again.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Have fun this weekend
