You know what's really crazy is that Phoebe's birthday is
the day before. On September thirteenth, she turned eight as well.

Which means she's almost a decade, which is less exciting. Correct. Yeah, wow,
the podcast has been around for eight years. It's kind
of insane. A lot of podcasts don't. And they also

Yeah, we don't believe in seasons. Yeah, we don't believe

Okay, eight years of scrubbing. In eight years ago, the
mics went live, two hearts on air, Bold, Bright and Alive.
My best friend Becca started a pod and brought me
along for the ride from dating disasters, drunken nights, and
even becoming a bride. We didn't know what we were doing,

but our scrubs were ready diving into life honest raw instead,
from Gray's Anatomy to Life's own plot. We've healed with
laughter and cried a lot when we started we were
two single gals, now one a wife, one engaged, and
two dog pals. You've scrubbed in deep through joy and pain,
through awkward dates and self love gains from celeb crushes

to sacred girl chats to scrub sisters who wear our
stories like hats. We've built a scrubbing in sisterhood so
true who tune in weekly just for you. So here's
to the journey, the pod, the spark, the friendship that
lit up a corner of dark Eight years strong, We're
not done yet. There's more to scrub in, more goals
to be met with hearts wide open. We've set the

What did you what parts did they help you with?

I mean most of it. I was gonna say, it's
hard to like but like a lot of stuff that
it wasn't like like I tried to swap out stuff
to make it more personal, do you know what I mean?
Like kept the structure and like the cadence because that's
what I lacked the most of my poetry writing is
like I always rhyme the same words.

Your poems are. I don't know what the technical term is,
but they're the they're the type that don't rhyme.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Like free verse.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yeah, Like like you remember when I wrote that caption
for you and and you said that you were like,
you're a poet. Robbie said, Becca is a poet or something,
and it like none of it rhymed, but it was
just like a it was just like a limerick. That's
how you're writing is it doesn't have to always wrap.

Well, this one rhymes.

I'm just saying it was. I think that's what gave

It's just the craziest thing because who I am and
who I was before this podcast. If you would have
told me that, Like if you would have told me
in my like high school college years, that I would
have a podcast in my most popular episode that people
bring up is me passing out from drinking, I just

We didn't pass out there, right, you were getting sick
and so you just kind of sneak out of frame.

Niel Salon I hear about a lot. Tanya prenatal pilates
gets a big reaction.

That's shocking to me. I almost didn't share that story.

We need to thank you, and this is why Tany
is the best. But also how many times since I've
known you haven't like, Oh, we gotta talk about it.
You'd be like, really, why. Just the other day I said,
we got to talk to we have to on the
Ryan Show, we got to talk about your cleansing. And
You're like, oh, really, we're doing that. You saw it
on the run. Now we're doing that, and I'm like,
trust me, this is going to be great. And it
was hilarious.

Well, you guys just don't know. You don't know the
good that comes from the cleansing.

Well, okay, but you don't know what's going to be
hilarious content.

That's true. That's true. I wish we could Is there
anything we could just for old times sake pull up
the nail salon big? That would be challenging, Oh, it
would be okay, So I would say those come up.
I also feel like our live shows, I have really
fond memories of Yeah, I have a I have really
fond memories of our episode in Malley with Mark Walber.

Yes, that whole experience was so amazing. I also have
fond memories of our lives because that's when ninety five
P was born. It is that's where I was born.
Concepts and in the San Francisco show and then the
LA Show was the first time Robbie met my sister

Oh yeah, and y'all had just started dating.

to think of there's guests. I also loved the episode,
which it was on Zoom, so I don't love that.
But when I had everyone give me random words to
throw into the podcast, oh yeah, it was really funny.

So I love when everybody jokes on me.

It's just like innocent pranks. Yeah, so I tell Haley
these are just she hates being pranked. It's really challenging
for me because I love I love hiding and popping out.
I'm not all to do that anymore, so I have
to get my pranks in where I can.

Yeah, you've been banned from hiding and popping out.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, Like it literally has cost fights and because she
gets so scared that it turns to anger. And I'm like,
this is so fun for me. And I grew up
in a very like pranky, jokey, sarcastic family. And I
actually was watching Love Thy Nator, the new reality show

with the nat.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
I'm getting a lot of buzz about that show. Do
I need to watch it?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
It's very Kardashian vibes. Yeah, I love that and so
but they're from Louisiana and they have a very similar
dynamic within their family. And Haley was like, oh my gosh,
is this like a culture thing, like a southern culture thing.
It's like jokes and sarcasm. I'm like, maybe we don't
really talk about our feelings a lot, so we cover
it up with Yeah, covered up with sarcasm and jokes.

But yeah, so I'm not allowed to pop out and
scare her.

Is that tough to resist?

So sometimes I just I told her, I'm so, what
we've agreed on is I'm allowed to hide. I just

like slaughing silently, and then I just stand up slowly.
She's like, don't do that, and I'm like, no, that's
the rule. I can do that anyway. So it's just

So when she gets home, not around her she's like,
only ever like ninety percent convinced you're not home, because
who knows you could be anywhere.

Well, so, so her whole thing is she wants to
feel safe in her own home. I deserve to feel
safe in my own home. And I said, that's fair.
But sometimes I haven't urged to hide.

That is so weird, Like you feel like you should
talk to your therapist about it. This feels deep rooted,
like you need to just like stir something up, like
you need to like rev somebody's engines, Like there's got
to be something deeper. Sure, yeah, I'm talking about that.

Well that's tomorrow. So I'll let her know a lot
of things that talk to her about, so I don't
know if we'll get.

To that, but I've been in the same boat we
Allison and I also had a fight about this because
I'm a big fan of when you open the back
hatch of a car. I open it up and then
I slap it really fast with my hand and act
like it hit my notes.

Like oh that's a good one.

I love doing that, and it freaks her out every
single time. And then one time I did open it
up and she walked into the She got really her
walking into the hatch. So I have retired from that goof.
I will never do it again, but every time I
open a door, I want to do it.

I would hate to be married to both of my dad.

I think my dad growing up, like if you walked
in front of the car, he would honk the horn
like there was no escaping. You had to be prepared
for it, and even if you were prepared, it still
scared you. And I watched my mom be terrorized by that,
and I've taken on his bankside unfortunately.

So yeah, we've had to compromise, but me getting to
hide is still fun. Anyways, you and Haley are very similar,
and I just haven't urged to brank both of you.

but I do. But you do. He likes to watch football,

like I always rhyme the same words.

is this like a culture thing, like a southern culture thing.
It's like jokes and sarcasm. I'm like, maybe we don't
really talk about our feelings a lot, so we cover
it up with Yeah, covered up with sarcasm and jokes.

I love doing that, and it freaks her out every
single time. And then one time I did open it
