oats in it or something was not healthy. It's it's organic.
It says non gmo and really big letters. Well that's
good at least. Yeah, it's something, Chuck, it's something. Uh. No,
(00:48):

going to dive right into Haiku theater nol. But we're
gonna take the suggestion that we had on our own
self and we're gonna do mystery Haiku theater. Uh. And
(01:11):
I'm gonna just say these to you, I guess since
I've got them in front of my face, and let's
see how you do. Um. Let this be known, this
is not an official challenge. I'm not trying to get you.
I'm not trying to make you look dumb. You can
I am not trying to get you. I am not
trying to make you look dumb. You use check it off.
(01:34):
Hit me. I'm not keeping schooled. Hi ku me chuck
haiku me alright? Jeff Nol former space marine Lee Lu
Dollar mass multi pass. It's fifth element Lee Lu Dallas
multi pass massive body count. I think it's fifth element
bing ming ming meen because of the name Lelu, which
(01:55):
she was the orange hair. Yeah. See, I would never
remember that, all right, Aaron Coop her old friend. Oh,
by the way, that was yeah, I said from Jeff Noll.
I'll say it again, Jeff Noll. That's the third time,
Aaron Cooper, I am surrounded. How many are on this ship?
Keep firing assholes? Geez, well done. I don't know spaceballs,
(02:17):
h uh and you know what, I'm gonna delete these
as I've gotten that one, wouldn't you chuck? No, dude,
I don't know spaceballs like I know other mel Brooks movies.
You're a blazing saddles guy, aren't you well thrown through
in Young Frankenstein. Uh let me see here. John MILLSAP
says this, see Lisa with Mark, she is tearing me apart. Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap,
(02:44):
Hi doggy, that's the room. Yes, very nice, cheap cheap, cheap, cheap,
cheap cubes down. Cubie says this. Spaceic sings so well.
Laretta Lynne topic well, Tommy Lee Jones swoon, coal Miner's daughter.
(03:05):
That's right. Have you seen that one? It's been a
long time. I have seen it. Though I know you
hate biopics. I don't hate him. I just don't go
for him. There can be good ones, and that is
a good one, all right, fair enough, Uh, let me
go with well, you know what, Coop, I'm gonna give
you two because your second one is so good. Uh.
(03:28):
In McKiel that Doyle. But first I better carve up
fridge fried potatoes. Carve up he says, yeah, I didn't know.
He didn't say that in the movie. That would be amazing.
I got a carb up. I guess he means with
the biscuits. It's yeah. I should said it like Billy
(03:49):
about I would have got friend said it like Aaron Cooper,
which is to say we're we're I'm just kidding Cooper.
Is that an inside joke? No, I'm just ribbing him
so pete hole yesh. I gotta tell you people, when
you have four consonants in a row, you're gonna trip
me up. I'm gonna say, hold it in. Thanos needs
(04:14):
the Stones kills go more to get one. I don't
feel so good. Oh, I don't feel so good. God,
that's awful. Oh that's the sad part. At the end
of Infinity Wars, right man Rush, our old friend Melinda
Beccalo says, three guys out of work, ghosts tearing up
(04:35):
the city. Who are you gonna call? Can I call
the Ghostbusters? Yeah? These are good and I will I
will say that we did not ask for mystery here.
So it's not like people are trying to trip us
up at these obvious they're just fun hye mix, though
there's some that are a little less obvious. I agree. Uh.
Anthony Norris, is this teen dies in ocean? The mayor
(04:57):
won't close the beach? Froyce Shider kills shark. That's shark
Nado the movie. You were right? I saw the meg
finally on the plane. What do you think you know what?
It wasn't as bad as I thought, like it certainly
was not a good movie. But I found myself watching
it and being like I wanted to see the conclusion
that a giant shark. Yeah, who wouldn't want to watch it?
(05:18):
It was not I mean it was for for that
kind of movie. It was like I enjoyed it me too. Um.
Zach Loos says this val is rock and roll meets
girl joins the Resistance. He's not melt or may I
bet that stumps you? Is it the Doors? No top secret?
I don't know that on that movie at all. Yeah,
(05:39):
I had a feeling that might be a whole Alisa
Hitton says, this called the Pizza Dude, they blew up
the neighbor's house called the sex are weird? Call the
pizza dude they blew up the neighbor's house called I
must just not know this movie. It sounds like an
eighties movie. Uh indeed, Okay, the Burbs. Oh you know
(06:02):
what's funny? I was just reading about that because I
had no idea that it was about like a cult
kind of It's got like some weird ritual, like the
neighbors are like weird CULTI types or something, or you know,
I don't quite remember, but I think that rings about
something like that, because I haven't seen it since then,
it's been a long time to check it out. Greg
Gerk or Gerk says, A boy with Apple with help
(06:25):
from Gustav H brings love from z to a m hmm.
I don't know. Gustav H is probably the biggest giveaway.
But if you don't, you may not have seen this. Actually,
now they think about it. The Grand Budapest Hotel. We've
talked about that. That's the one that I have not seen,
and everyone just loves it, and I love Wes inderstand.
(06:46):
I don't know why. That is a very inexplicable hole. Chuck,
All right, here we go. No, this is right a
pure ally from Tim Manning. We have a few rules.
You cannot talk about it. Also, please do not that's
very good use of the haiku form. I totally agree.
And that's uh that's obviously fight club. Yeah, you good
job to him. That's a good one. Uh, Zoe cecon say,
(07:10):
is this he loves her so much? She dreams of
something bigger. Such a great soundtrack. Oh this is nice
and vague. She dreams of something bigger. This is super
big oh is it. I like to think people at
home are playing along? Is it lost in translation? Maybe? No? No,
no, no no, no, that's good. I'm trying to give good soundtracks,
(07:31):
things that would be worthy of mention of having, you know,
an iconic soundtrack that's is too too vague for pretty
in pinknoll. Now that could be a lot of movies though, Yeah,
kind of. Oh my friend Braxton braxononio, my my pal
here in Atlanta. Uh, Tycho monolith deliberately buried, I am afraid, Dave. Yeah,
(07:56):
that would be uh a space odyssey. Yeah, nice job.
Want very cool. Good one. Uh, let me go with
this from Sean Louis. You feel like Alice tumbling down
the rabbit hole. He takes that red bill I know,
conk fit. That would be the Matrix. Oh, there's such
(08:20):
a great line point break. They go midnight surfing at
one point and he's just learning how to surf cano
in the movie, you know, and you just hear, who
a fucking surfing? So great? And if I'm not mistaken,
Swayzie even yells you're fucking surfing all right? You should
(08:42):
get this one well. From Robert S. Eldridge Capitalism, I
really like it when they use one word from all
that's really nice. Capitalism make money with your white voice.
You are property. That's uh, sorry to bother you. Yes, nice,
Hugh Holt. She was all alone until crowning Blood on
(09:06):
her throne. Now her powers shone. That sounds like a
weird riddle, like somebody guarding a cave. Let's say you
and a sinister wizard voice. Exactly, no idea by this
one that I love the verse. Yeah, and it rhymes too,
which is not haiku. But well done, Hugh hold She
(09:27):
was all alone kill crowning blood on her throne. Now
her powers shown. I mean no, I can't, I can't,
none shall pass. That is carry the Stephen King, Stephen
King Sissy's basics. I was I was getting hung up
(09:48):
on the throne imagery. Right, Well, she was crowned Homecoming Queen,
So there you have it. She was the queen. That's right. Yep,
you're right. Such a sad movie. Yeah, it's it's just
it's good, but it's like I find it more depressing
than scary because she's just so shipped on and just
like you know, it's it's a very bummer of a movie.
(10:10):
Totally um Maria or Sano lawson, empty old hotel, creepy
lady in the tub, red rum, Danny run. Yeah, that's
a that's another king, Carrie being king as well. Um,
that is the shining Yeah boy, if this is so fun,
(10:31):
guys are great. See now, now we gotta be able
to turn the tables chuck next time you Yeah, Mike
Sam's says this because I want to hear this, you know,
I want to guess the circle of life, pretricide, regime
change growth. I'm back revenge roar. That seems outside of
(10:55):
the Haiku form. I don't know, I can't like it. No,
I mean for the syllables lining up correctly, fratris side,
regime change growth seven, I'm back revenge roar the Circle
of Life. By the way, I totally in the last
Haiku theater, I realized I said that someone was wrong
and I was wrong. Oh no, whoever that was, I
(11:16):
apologize that that's the that's the Lion King. It's gonna
be the Lion King Jock. Yes, which, by the way,
I saw it for the first time last weekend. I
never seen it so with Ruby and it was hard
core for three and a half year old. Yeah, oh,
big time. She got upset bad. It's it's hard scene
when last he falls into the will to beast like
(11:37):
the father dies in this child's arms. It was really bad,
very intense. And asked her afterward, I said, did you
like the Lion King? She went, I did, but it
made me a little bit sad, And I was like, oh,
how four three and a half a little more than that?
But yeah, all right, let's do a couple of more here. Uh,
Shannon Lee says, leading lady dead, don't trust the taxidermist
(12:02):
or a mama's boy. Yep, that's great, that'scho all right.
And finally, um, all right, now this one is a
good one for you. Well, no, this is the same person.
I don't want to redo him just yet, all right,
Skylar Award, this is one of my favorite movies. Hypochondriac.
I'm a flibberty gibbet. Great job there, jump in the
(12:27):
big wouliberty gibbet. Is that like a direct line from
the movie. I think of that word it is a
direct line. I don't know, I don't know, I I
sho haven't seen the movie. I associate that word withound,
the sound of music, And how do you solve a
problem like Maria, they say a flippity gibbet will, a
will of the wisp. Yeah, Joe versus the volcano, that's
(12:50):
another that. Oh yeah, and Meg Ryan, Yeah, so that's
that goes right in there with the verbs. Dude, that's
a very watch this and out the burbs Ks Volcano.
It's like really really good. Okay, cool? Uh. The great
John Patrick Shanley playwright, wrote and directed that movie. Alright, Skyler,
good job. That's one of my favorite ones. I love
(13:12):
Hiku Theater so much. Everyone makes me happy. Um, all right,
then we're gonna do a quick social studies. All right now,
I just went TV. I just said, favorite TV show
of all time. Let's just run through these. I'm not
gonna do comments on this one everyone, because we're running short.
(13:33):
But boy, there were six and fifty of you. Chris
Fergin says, mash Abby's echo says The Office, Kerry McQuaid says,
Parks and rec Adrian Melndez with Breaking Bad. It's interesting
the comedies versus you know, sort of the hour long
dramas or whatever our long shows. Chad Forster says Scrubs.
(13:54):
I never really got into that. I liked it. Alan Smithy,
Errol Palaces, kids in the Hall love it. Good choice.
Luis Silva says Seinfeld. Anna Shreshta says madmen. Greta Koning
says Gilmore Girls, Ashley Lee with Dirty Rock, Edwin Grieves
arrested development. Gretchen Caspary talks Thorf, What Talksdorf? I don't
(14:22):
know this. This must be some sort of it looks
like Finish or something, Northern exposure. Good movie, man, that
was my jam in college. Yeah, we used to sit
around this one with a moose. Yeah. No, um, it
wasn't it around like kind of when Twin Peaks was out,
and so it was sort of like, yeah, yeah, people
compared it to that, but it was less weird, but
it was. It was nothing like Twin Peaks. Wasn't it
(14:43):
a little offbeat though? Yeah? It was. It was an
offbeat comedy like it would have been like an indie,
offbeat indie commedy. Got it, Got it if it was
a movie not just batshit crazy, fair enough. Jeff Noel
w Carap and Cincinnati. WHOA, he's going old school, Michael,
It says the Adams Family four version. Yeah, obviously not
(15:04):
the film Jessica Gangara says Archer and the Joy Painting
ros love it loves some Bob Ross. It's still so good. Uh.
Natalie Bill's Hatch says mash Yes, I'm dating myself. That's okay, dataway.
Abbie Kittzmiller says the Simpsons seasons three through nine to
(15:24):
give her take. You know it's true because it actually
started off not the strongest, then then got amazing totally
fell off. Yep, yeah, I agree with that's very, very
accurate statement there. Scott Deel says arrest of development. Charles
martin Acres says solid tie between X Files and The
West Wing. Stephen Crabtree, Welcome to fucking Deadwood. That can
(15:47):
be combative. You got a movie coming coming out, man,
that looks so good too. I can't wait. Laura Dickinson says,
toss up between Gilmore Girls and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yeah,
Buffy gets a lot of love. Good movie or a
good not a great movie, good TV show exactly. No,
the TV show took it and really elevated it and
made it about a lot of like issues that weren't
being talked about at the time. Sort of masquerading is
(16:09):
this like WB kind of teen drama, but it it was
actually very very smart and had some good uh storytelling? Yeah, absolutely,
Noel Hubbard says arrested development likely. Well, which is it?
Noah's it likely arrested development or not? I mean that
would be one of mine. I couldn't name a number one.
It would be six ft under for me if I
had to name one. Dude, you and Emily, you're right there,
(16:33):
Debbie Dragon, great name breaking bad uh kindall are gast
Watson says Sons of Anarchy. I never saw it. I
watched a little bit of it. It didn't hold my interest.
Emily Deaner, another Buffy fan, Martin Kidd says bottom, I
don't know that. Oh that must have been huh. Rick
(16:54):
Mayo and Adrian Edmondson must be a britt show. Must
be from back in the day. Right, All right, let's
do a couple of more here. Mary beth Ward mcdonals's
True Detective Season one. I've heard that new seasons good.
Have you seen it? I did, and I thought it
was great. Oh really, I thought it was really great. Well,
he's fantastic, he's fantastic in this, and it's great casting
(17:15):
and he gets to play three ages of himself, and
it's just like total meaty role for a dude like that. Man,
I gotta do it. I just got HBO a couple
of weeks ago, so you can give season two of
a pass. Go ahead and skip right to three. Yeah,
I watched one and I did skip too. Jennifer Imbleton
says Buffy of course. Lisa Matta Ban says thirty Rock.
(17:37):
Kylie Thornton says Gallivant. Yeah, I love that. I'm kind
of very loose pals with Timothy Omenson from that show.
I met him a couple of times. Nice guy. I
have never heard of this show. Ow, it's like a
king kind of show. Yeah, I think, Yeah, I think
it had music in it. Interesting. Jessica Worley says the
(17:59):
Office for rewatch Value six weet Underneal Scott russfold YEP.
I watched the whole series about once every couple of years.
It makes me cry every time. Yes, it's a beautiful,
beautiful series, such a great idea, And it was like
I started first started watching that right around with my
father passed away, And you'd think that that would be
a real bummer and a downer to watch a show
like that during a time like that, but it actually
(18:19):
was super comforting and that it was pretty pretty amazing
to have. It's good. I like that. Uh, Emily's watched
that show all the way through, like two or three times.
I think for sure that's good stuff. Ryan Shaw says, Madman,
I'm with you, man, that's top three for me. Um,
and let's do a couple of more here, David Gingridge
Friday Night Lights. I was supposed to be really good.
(18:40):
Emily like that show, and she has no love for football.
So Eric Peterson's has lost, all right, and then uh,
let's finish up with Coop Earl pal gotta be Seinfeld. Yeah, Coop,
I know you love you some Seinfeld. Alright, No, we're
(19:02):
gonna finish up with Noles Holes Nick Cage edition. Oh man,
how's that for a surprise. It's good. Hold on, let
me get a piece of paper. You got the show
for the next okay, um, okay, I'm gonna do a
tight thirty here, um filling, Okay, now I'm back. Okay,
(19:23):
all right, I had to get my little sheet here man. Really,
Matthew Colamari, that one up. Oh boy, you know my
favorite part of the going thing was was when he
was talking about something about with the big meeting that
Junior was at, and he it was he wasn't just
bagging on Junior. He had to say this in order
(19:44):
to explain the context. You know, well, you have to understand.
He was like, Mr Trump has expressed very little confidence
as his son and thinks he makes very poor judgments,
so blank blank blank. And I was just like, oh
my god, this is like testifying before Congress. It was
a lot of on, a lot of fun that one.
I don't mind laughing at my ass off at that
because oh no, Don Junior is he's such an entitled,
(20:07):
smug little ship. Yeah, however I feel about any of them,
they're just they don't seem like the best. Now, we're
very smart, exactly, Well, the whole Okay, we're gonna move on,
but the whole My favorite part was that Trump clearly
went to great effort to make sure his grades or
s A T scores never got right now after bagging
on Obama about not releasing his grades. Imagine that, all right,
(20:30):
we're not gonna get political everyone. And if you're right
now angry because we did that, not swing about movies,
I'm legitimate sorry. We don't want to anger anyone, not
at all. Um, but you know we're humans and that's
how you can write in and tell me how you feel.
Feel free to do it, all right, knowles holes Nick
Cage dish, you should clean up on this one. My friend,
(20:53):
I don't know man, like I said, he's got a
lot of stuff. Well he does. And I will say
this though, to give you a fair shot. Emily and
I came up with these last night off the dome
one through like fifteen, and then we kind of needed
a little internet help. But I did not go through
IMDb and try and pick out these obscure movies he's
doing lately that like it goes straight to vesu or whatever.
It's fair, So we we gave you a fair shot.
(21:15):
These are all big mainstream movies alright ready. Vampire's Kiss no, alright,
but I know the clip where he like is like
a B C D or whatever is not the one
I think, So that's yeah. I haven't seen that though.
I haven't either. Valley Girl, Nope, I never even heard
of it. What is this the one with like, uh No,
(21:38):
Valley Girl was like a very very big movie in
the nineteen eighties, and it was during the Valley Girl
thing in l A. And he played a guy that was,
you know, trying to date a girl Frank Zappa's song
Valley Girl. Have anything to do with that movie? Yeah
it was in the movie, or yeah it was from
the movie. Okay, cool? Or or what's that a coincidence?
And I'm doubting myself. It doesn't matter. For some reason,
(21:59):
I've made the connection to the something to do with
the movie, But no, tell me more. You should. You
should check out the guy Will Will all right? Number three,
Wild at Heart, Yes, of course, Number four leaving Las Vegas. No, oh, no,
Nicholas Cage. Where are you, sir man? To get him
on the show? You'd do it? Man? You think I think?
(22:23):
By the way, No, I don't want to ruin anything.
I'm not gonna say who. But I put it on
Facebook the other day that like a potentially very big
guest is going to be coming on, and it looks
more and more like that's gonna happen. Yes, when we
talked about off Mike, that's right, and if that happens,
it will be huge for the show. A very surreal
moment to sit down and talk to this person so
(22:45):
everyone just keep your fingers crossed collective fingers. Yeah, if
that happens, I'm gonna just rush it out to I'm
not even gonna like, I don't care where it is
in the queue or what day of the week it is.
I'm just gonna like release it the next day or
maybe not the next day. What we'll stick to him
money your Friday, although we do our Wednesday shows too,
also true. All right, let's keep going on. Um, let
(23:06):
me see, I did Wild at Heart, I did leaving
Las Vegas, all right, Peggy Sue got married. Nope, I'm
gonna go ahead and put out there chuck. While I
am a big fan of certain of Nick Cage's work,
qualifying this now, No, I have not like some sort
of encyclopedic Nick Nick Cage fanboy. Keep it going, though,
keep it rolling, roll, Let's let's go. Why do you
(23:26):
gotta take the fun out of her? Man? All right? Sorry,
that was so mean? Alright, uh, face off? Of course, Yeah,
I'm gonna take his face off. You know what's funny
is and if you know Emily, you will think that's
especially funny. That was the first movie she mentioned. That's
a great one. I rewatched that recently. Yes, such a
(23:48):
Bonker's concept. I enjoyed it exactly when I saw it
in a Yeah, it's pretty good. It was so like
it's bad though, well, I mean Travolta Nick Cage are
trying to out chew each other each other. It's great, fantastic. Yeah,
it's pretty good. I like it a lot. Ghost Rider, yes,
the first one at least up and I didn't maybe
(24:10):
watch the whole thing, but you know, I'm gonna give
it to you. Honeymoon in Vegas, No, okay, I'm gonna
lose this one. Chuck con Air, yes, okay, Rumble Fish
m m m No, I've seen The Outsiders, but not
Rumble Fish. Two different movies. Well, I know, but they're
by the same writer, right, Hinton the Great See Hit
(24:35):
and She's Wonderful Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He's only
in that like really small right. Yeah, this barely counts.
It's not a Nick Cage movie. The Family Man, No, okay,
and that's sort of a almost like a It's a
wonderful life type situation. I believe I didn't see it,
but I think you're right. Brett Rettner sort of yeah. Uh,
(24:56):
Number thirteen of twenty City of Angel with Meg Ryan.
Never seen the movie noway remember the soundtrack. I had
a Goo Doll song on it, and a lot it's more. Yeah,
so it's a lot it's more set for that matter,
raising Arizona. Noel, Okay, I don't think I've seen it
(25:19):
all the way through. I know, I know that's gonna
count that as a no. I think you should count
as a no. I don't deserve it, yes, from that one.
I know enough about it. I feel like I've seen
it on TV. I need to get it though. Everyone
loves that one so much, and it's it sounds like
a real you know, quintessentially Coen Brothers movie of that time.
Kind of yeah, totally. I need a cat that need
(25:41):
to catch them, all right, So to catch everyone up,
we have one to three, five six left. The score
is nine knows in five yes, is but I think
this is going to come down to the wire. Uh, Noel.
Eight millimeter. I loved eight millimeter when out all right, Yeah,
I had a feeling gonna do well in these last ones.
(26:01):
Slasher thing from the nineties, two thousands, maybe number sixteen
match stick Men, Yes, yes, a right there, like he's
a con man and he's got a Is Sam Rockwell
in that or he was his partner? He partner? That's
right exactly? Uh seven to nine Noel the Rock, Yes,
(26:24):
that was right, Sam Rockwell. Isn't matchick okay? Number eighteen
Snake Eyes, Yes, no, it is tied. It always ends
up this way. It's tied with two to play, all right. Unfortunately,
I don't think you've seen any one that's good. Might surprising.
All right, let's see number nineteen Red Rock West. No,
(26:45):
I didn't, No, No, I don't even know what it is.
That sounds old. It is a nineties movie from the
director John Dahl, who did The Last Seduction. Red Rock West,
Dennis Hopper Nicholas Cage is a very good extern noir.
You would like to check it out and to tie
nol or to lose. Let's feel so bad Captain Corelli's Mandolin. No, sir, no, Sarah,
(27:14):
I am. I am not ashamed to say I have
not seen this movie. You know it's funny. Is last
night when I found out, I went, oh, that'll be
a perfect number twenty. For some reason, Captain Corelli's Mandolin,
I forgot all about that. Montally so did like literally
everybody else except Nick Cage and Captain Correly and his mandolin.
(27:35):
That's right, so I lose. Yeah, that was close though.
Nine to eleven that was fun. Uh, good one. You
acquitted yourself well. And I also I really want to
see Red Rock West now I've looked it up and
it looks like fun. Yeah, it's really good. Man. Yeah,
that's a suggestion for everybody because it's it was sort
of a under the radar movie, wasn't huge. It wasn't huge,
(27:58):
So I'm gonna recommend that. And I'm also going to
recommend quickly before we go. Um, the shortest segment of
stream this is last night we watched the film Leave
No Trace, indie movie that was out last year, very
very good movie, and our friend Christensen produced it. It
was Deborah Grannick directed it. Who cheated Winter's Bone of course,
of course, and Ben Foster is in Leave No Trace.
(28:21):
Oh you know what I saw? That's it's the one
where he's living off the grid kind of with a
kid with his daughter played by Thomas and Mackenzie, who
was great. It looked really cool. It's really really good
and a lesson in like if you want to make
a very creative film on the cheap, you know, A
