Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the country music from Wilson. Heaps. He's
not an apprentice, he's a young man starting out his
career in radio and he's got an old head on
young shoulders and he's playing the stones jumping jack flash.
He's picked the music today, Barry sober. This song reminds
me of our cousin keV, who's no longer with us.

(00:21):
He used to play this in the hut on the
farm and kawik. Do you remember those days, Barry.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Look, as soon as I heard the night so I thought,
there's jumping jack flash that's going on. I haven't heard
it since Kvy died a number of years ago. Now, yeah,
it brings back old memory.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Well, you're born and bred and Gore Wilson is as well,
and he's listening to the Stones and he's You could
get your age and divide by three. You still wouldn't
get his, Barry, But anyhow, you're an experienced head. Can
I ask you about the pole of poles that came
out this morning? Is the Coalition still in the driver's seat?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Oh? I think so, And more than seventy per cent
of the topation believe that you know the Coalition government
will be returned. And certainly that's my belief because you've
only got to look at the alternative and this week
was a good example of that. When the rich lists
came out, we should be all celebrating people that do
so well, But the Greens come out and said, look,

(01:19):
a wealth tax is the answer to that. And you
know that's what you're going to get with a change
in government. You're going to get a Labor Party, which
is much more realistic, i've got to say, than what
the Greens are. But then you've got the Greens pushing
along at the side. Whether they get to have their
final say there's another matter though. But yeah, I think

(01:39):
that poll in the Polar Poles looks at all the
polls and then deduces from that where the parties are setting,
and I think it's probably telling a pally accurate story.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Okay, one story to finish on Martua Shane Jones, Prince
of the Province's favorite of mine here on the country.
Is he getting carried away with his own press or
is this just bad luck?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well, look, i think it's ridiculous to expect a cabinet
minister and I'm not putting them on a pedestal at all.
But if any of us have to go offshore to
a long distance, and he was going to Canada in
this place and expect them to travel even premium economy, he.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Wouldn't put in a premium economy seat through that.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And at least you can in business, you can lie
down and have a sleep and be fresh when he arrives.
And surely that's what the way we should be treating
our politicians that, regardless of their color, will never they've
got to travel offshore to a long distance. They should
be upfront having a sleep.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Got on y Arry Sober there, who never ever turns
right on a plane, He always turns left and goes
straight to the front of the plane.
