Hi, this is Carol Miller. Welcome to our Get the
Leadout calendar. On February third, nineteen eighty eight, Robert Plant
returned to London's Marquee Club for the first time in
nearly seventeen years. Would remarkable evening come back here again
after Robin a couple of years. Robert had first played
there with John Bonham twenty years earlier, not in led Zeppelin,

but in the Band of Joy, while Jimmy Page and
John Paul Jones were unaware of them. Now Robert was
back with a new band and a fresh bash of songs,
and his live performances now finally provided a new home
for led Zeppelin songs. Here, Robert mashed up the vocals
of black Dog over his band riffing out on Heartbreaker

fifty years ago. On February fourth, nineteen seventy five, Led
Zeppelin performed an extra show at Nasau Coliseum in Uniondale,
New York. The first tickets to this long island show
on heard for sale, went to fans who completed mail
order forms found in the Boston Globe newspaper. This was
to make up for the fact that Boston's mayor was
not allowing a led Zeppelin concert to go on at

the Boston Garden this year. Fans there didn't mind to
travel to Long Island. They could apply for the best
seats at Nasau Coliseum ahead of anybody else. Led Zeppelin
had already scheduled two later shows at Nassau Coliseum for
this tour, but now they arrived. During their ongoing stint
of shows at Madison Square Garden on February fifth, nineteen

sixty nine, Led Zeppelin were at one point booked to
appear in New York. There was enough demand for them
in the days immediately following their four show debut at
the Fillmore East that they were scheduled for four more
shows at Steve Paul's Scene Club. Unfortunately, led Zeppelin suddenly
found themselves without a drummer. John Bonham had flown home
to England to make sure his son Jason was fine,

so led Zeppelin's states that Steve Paul seine were called off,
but Jimmy Page went there on a night off to
witness blues legends Hawlin Wolf and guitarist Schubert Someone fifty

years ago on February sixth, nineteen seventy five, when Led
Zeppelin played for the third time at the Montreal Forum
in Canada. Student reporter Stephen Weir covered the show for
Ryerson University's Eye Opener. Stephen writes, quote, the concert was
held inside the home of the Montreal Canadians. The Forum
and the ice rink will never be the same. A

mass of eighteen thousand, jiving, gyrating, and sometimes violent crowd
of led Zeppelin connoisseurs made more noise in three hours
than the hockey team makes. It a case in point
about the noise. Once it became apparent that the drum
solo was about to begin, fans recognized it and reacted accordingly.

So on an audience tape, you would struggle to even
hear led Zeppelin above the crowd noise. Fifty years ago,
on February seventh, nineteen seventy five, Led Zeppelin returned to
New York's Madison Square Garden. They were back for their
second Garden show in a week. A third Garden show
was still coming up, but first they would play a
couple of dates elsewhere on the East Coast. Zeppelin seventy

five tour spread multiple appearances at a single venue over
a longer time compared to playing them on consecutive nights
as they had on their prior go round. You might
call that a start and stop approach. You might also
