be in there checking out the soundcheck. You were so kind to our listeners.
We really appreciate that about you.Yeah. Absolutely, we appreciate them

(00:20):
being out there early for the showand it was fun getting too a little
sound check with them, So absolutely, anytime. Congratulations on the success of
Cabin of Solo. Still climbing,Yeah, still going, fingers crossed.
We're gonna be working the hard herefor the next few weeks or the next
couple weeks, I guess. Andnow you have a new album coming out,
a Rise and Fall that's going tobe out made tenth on Triple Tiger
Records. Tell us about the album. Yeah, I'm so fired up for

(00:43):
this whole project. I've never beenmore proud of an entire thing, topped
to bottom. It's a collection ofsongs, a lot of them were written
up in the mountains of North Carolinawith my buddies around the fireplace. It
felt like the old times, youknow. But it's just these songs.
They're so true to who I amas an artist and as a guy,
and you can definitely see my influencescoming through on this record. So hopefully

(01:06):
people enjoy it. Talking with ScottyMcCreary here with Steve and Gina, Scotty,
we're so excited for your induction byJosh Turner into the Grand Ole Opry
on Saturday night. What does itfeel like or what are you excited?
Are you nervous? What are youremotions right now? Oh? I think
all the feelings, you know,But more than anything, just honored,
you know. It Just it's suchan important thing for country music. The

(01:30):
opry and the family there is amazing. All my heroes are there and part
of it. So I'm just goinginto it with a smile on my face.
And it's a dream come true kindof night for sure. I know
the words surreal is used way toooften, but that's going to be pretty
amazing walking through those halls, seeingall those pictures are the members of the
Grand Ole Opry and knowing that that'sgoing to be your night. Have you

(01:52):
pictured it? In your mind.Yet it's when you know I start too
that it's like, oh my gosh, it makes me want to tear up
kind of thing. But yeah,it's surreal is a good word for it.
I mean again, it's all myears are there and our their pictures
are on the wall, so formine to join them, it's just crazy.
And as Gabee told you, whatyou're gonna wear yet, touche she

(02:17):
is not yet. We haven't laidout the outfits, but I'm sure i'll
find out soon. And we werejust talking recently about American Idol and how
Katie Perry's leaving, and then manypeople may not know that's where you got
your start seventeen years old. Couldyou have ever dreamed from that day becoming
a member of the Grand Old Opry? No, you know, I don't

(02:38):
know what I thought was gonna happenafter the show, you know, because
you know, sometimes it works afterthe show, sometimes it doesn't. But
I knew we had to get towork, and we were working hard and
hit the ground running, and it'sit's been a fun ride these last thirteen
years. But yeah, the GrandOld Opry, it's it's the pinnacle for
me of country music, and youknow, so, I'm not sure that

(02:59):
was even on my It was alwayson my dreams list, but reality list,
I'm not sure it was there.Well, you're so humble because that
may have cracked the door open, but you barged right through the door and
it made a career for yourself. So congratulations on that. Well, thank
you very much. I appreciate thatmore. You know, now, Steve
mentioned that Katy Perry is leaving AmericanIdol. Would you ever want to step

(03:22):
in as a judge? I thinkyou'd be great at that. Never a
judge, I don't think, youknow. I'm happy to mentor the contestants,
and I've done that a few times, you know, in the past,
but judge, and I know whatit feels like to stand on that
stage and be judged, and Ijust don't think i'd do well being the
one doing the judging. You know, so nice, that's what I'd be
like. No, and you're wearingthe wrong thing. Probably probably I love

(03:46):
it. Oh man. So whenthis album comes out on May tenth,
what do you think your feelings aregoing to be compared to when your first
album was released. You know,I didn't know what to expect from our
first album, and you know, the first album to I didn't write any
of the songs, and I didn'thave really an emotional connection to the songs.
It was just kind of libel sendsongs. I'm like, oh that

(04:08):
sounds good record song, put itout. But this is much more from
the heart, sitting down with aguitar writing these songs, just pouring your
life out, you know, intothese things. So it means a lot
more than that first one. Andyou know, again, these songs topped
to bottom. I've never been moreproud, So I'm excited. Well,

(04:29):
everybody buy it or downloaded on Maytenth, Triple Tiger Records artist Scott and
mccrurry's album Rise and Fall. Scott, it's always a pleasure catching up with
you. We look forward to catchingup with you again soon. Have a
great summer, and we look forwardto May tenth getting that whole album from
you. Yeah, I appreciate it, y'all, Thanks for having me on
and hopefully we get back up y'all'sway soon.
