Speaker 1 (00:00):
Motley Crue recently announcing their Carnival of Sins tour parts
do you forty five year anniversary of the band, it's
the fortieth anniversary of Shout at the Devil and taking
a minute from reaching out from home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
before things get real chaotic, Nikki six joins me. Now, so, Nikki,
you know, when you're thinking about putting this tour together,
(00:20):
Carnival of Sins was insane. I mean, how theut hell
dore you top that?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Well, when we started talking about you know that it's
been twenty years and we're like, what could we do
with technology that wasn't even around back then? We just
did a Vegas residency and there's a song on the
Shot at the Devil album. It's called in the Beginning.
It starts the album and it's this spoken word thing,
(00:47):
and we kind of were able to create this a
little bit like a really demented environment with almost like
the devil telling you this story and let's go on here.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
We got you. You're good.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
No, yeah, anyway, we were able to create something that
was like so mind blowing using technology leading into that
song Shout at the Devil, and we're just like, what
can happen inside our environment at Carnival since it's going
to be amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I love it. It's almost like welcome to Hell. Here it
is survived forty five years. Welcome to Hell.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
We're here, Welcome to our hell.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Nicky six is joining us ahead of this major Motley
crue to a announcement for twenty twenty six. And you know,
I'm thinking about you know, as you mentioned, you just
came off the Vegas Residency. You know, all of us
were in the dark with everything that happened with Vince.
We were so happy to see him back on stage
and you guys working together, and the residency went off
without a hitch, or so it seemed. And I mean,
(01:55):
did that just naturally lead into this, Like okay, guys,
time to go big or go home again?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I mean, the Vegas Residency was amazing. We you know,
we only did ten shows last year, we did them
all in Vegas, So it was like important to us
to build something that was like really awe inspiring and
to be in one space and what could we do?
And then we started talking about Carnival Sins and we're like,
(02:21):
my god, what could we do? Around that, and then
just the opportunity with you know, Extreme and Tesla becoming
available at the right time and for us, like the
show is so important, but at the core of everything,
it's the songs. And that's what worked about the Stadium
tour a def Leppard and Poison Joon Jet was it
(02:42):
was all great songs. You knew all the songs. And
I feel like this is another night like that. And
it's outside and it's in the summertime.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
It's a win win, absolutely, and it's hotter than hell here.
So what do you mean adds to that hell vibe
a little bit more?
Speaker 2 (02:56):
So that's going to be fantastic, fantastic. It's going to
be party in my leather pants.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You got it is absolutely Nicky six hanging with us.
We're talking about the anniversary tour, forty five years of
the crew, twenty years since Carnival sends to her and
bring it back, some legendary bands with him, as he mentioned,
Extreme and Tesla. Tickets on sale Friday the twenty first.
Some fun things about it. Think about this, if you
as a band, if you had a spirit animal, what
(03:22):
would it be.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
The Moley Cruz spirit Animal. Yeah, I don't think it
would be like a little uh fluffy dog.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Now I was thinking the honey badger.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Honey badger. We love the honey badger. Maybe you know,
you don't want to give yourself like a bad spirit animal,
like you want to be like we're a jaguar, you
know what I mean? You know I love notes. You
know I'm a raccoon. Where our spirit animals are raccoons.
So I don't know. This is a hard question. No
matter what I say, it's going to go bad.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
No, But that's the thing. It's good because raccoons are great, man.
They're scavengers. They always manage it to get it done,
and they're always in the right place at the right time,
at least in their mind. Anyway.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
You know a lot about animals, I.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Do, especially raccoons. They are my spirit animal. That's how
it goes. That and the honey badger, both of those.
Let me ask you this, out of all these years together,
is the remember of the band you would not trust
with your phone unlocked? I think I know what you're
going to say on this one.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, I never really thought about that. No, I'm pretty good.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
You trust Tommy Lee with your phone unlocked.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
I mean what's what's the what could he do that
I haven't already done? Sir?
Speaker 1 (04:33):
When do you think about it that way? It's like,
wait a minute, we've all read the dirt, we all
know how it went. Never mind, that's yeah, that's kind
of a lot of question.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah, that's the least of our concerns.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Bicky six is on with us as we're talking about
the return of Motley Crue and a big summer event,
and also Theater of Pain gets its big anniversary reissue
as well, which is for a lot of people the
first time they got exposure to you guys.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Wheah.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Top forty Radio picked it up and it just kind
of went crazy from there.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Man.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, yeah, it was. It was a big It was
a big shift for us, and and a lot of
shock and awe around going from like Too Fast for
Love and Shout at the Devil and then coming with
like Home Sweet Home, and it was just, you know,
at the time, it was like what are you what
are you guys doing? And we're like, but all of
our favorite albums when we were kids, like rock albums,
(05:21):
almost always ended with a ballad, and we were like, yeah,
like on Shout at the Devil, we wrote that song Danger,
and we wrote it in the studio to end the
Shout at the Devil album. We were just mimicking our heroes,
and Home Sweet Home was just you know, we've never
had piano before, and Tommy was tinkling at the piano
(05:43):
and it was very similar to some chords I'd had forever,
and I was like, what are you playing? He goes,
what are you playing? And it just like came out wow,
and we were like, well, no, we have to release this.
We have to release Shout at the Devil too, Like
that's what the record company. We're like, yeah, this is
a great song. So it's an exciting you know, being
(06:05):
a Miley crew because it feels like we don't always
have to color inside the lines. Yeah, you know, even
changing our logo every time, and it's not like some
genius move. But now we're stuck in a box. It's like,
what's your new logo? And I go, oh my god,
another logo right, like we should have done the ACDC way.
It's just the same logo. But it's all part of
(06:27):
our creativity exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
And that's it. The band's always always creating and I
can't wait to see what we got coming up this
coming summer Man twenty twenty six. Tickets on sale Friday
everywhere across the board. Massive summer forty five and twenty
years together. It's a big and Nikki, thank you so
much for your time. I know you're a busy man.
We'll see you on the road this summer.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Hey man, thanks for your time. You know I love

Speaker 1 (06:49):
