The job market's still solid, but there's signs of cooling.

laid off at a very high rate, but if you
don't have a job, it's very hard to find one.

Matt Grossman of the Wall Street Journal says that uncertainty
is left people stuck and stiffer. Competition for good jobs
is another issue.

You're starting to see that a bit in numbers like
the unemployment rate, which recently has moved up to four
point one percent after being in the mid three percent range.
