Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thousands of students crossing the border from Mexico to the
United States of America for one thing, schooling and schooling
doesn't cost much when you're an legal immigrant. And now
many of them that have broken into this country are
now set to graduate. Yeah, can you believe that they're
(00:20):
going to graduate? Congratulations you, as a taxpayer, paid for it.
Take a listen.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
In a letter obtained by CBS News, legislators from fifteen
states said they want the president to restore order and
quote fix our broken immigration system. Recent data shows the
number of illegal border crossings have fallen, but tens of
thousands are still trying to make it to the US.
Camelo Montoya Galvez traveled to the other side of the
border in Cio Dad Juarez, Mexico, for a closer look
(00:49):
at how the situation is unfolding.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Thereto key, how long have you been waiting here? Nine days?
Speaker 4 (00:56):
How long?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Five days? Eight days? Desperate and exhausted, dozens of migrants
huddled under the shade, stranded in this makeshift camp in Mexico,
with the US just out of reach. Where are you all? From?
The younger thin Colombia, Columbia, Guatemala. They came from across
(01:17):
Latin America, fleeing poverty and political turmoil, but they had
one common goal, getting to the US, no matter the cost.
Do you have food? No food, no money, no food,
no water? How long are you willing to wait here for?
When I put the in on Baraque, as long as
(01:39):
it takes. Rene, a migrant from Hondudas, had been there
for fifteen days, braving the elements with his young daughters. Gormaza,
can you sleep here right there? You sleep right there?
Colas were your daughters. You know your next scare. You
don't sleep the night. We just met this group with
(02:02):
several dozen migrants here into Hahuadas, Mexico, including really small
young children. They're all waiting to get to the US,
which is right there of hw yards away. But this
is in their way, miles and miles of razor wire
and another barriers set up by the state of Texas
to repel them from crossing into the US illegally. These
migrants showed us firsthand how sharp the wire was. They
(02:26):
want to kill us, this man, said local shelter director Kadia.
The Sila believes the barriers are inhumane.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
That US is the greatest country in the world. We're
able to have I think policy that treats this situation
with dignity, and you don't think this is a.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Way to do it, not at all. This should be
assigned to them not to cross here on the US
side of the border. Texas trooper Eliot Touris understands why
migrants want to cross, but says they should do so legally.
You say this returns people from crossing into the country legally,
but some would call this inhumane, right, what do you
(03:03):
think about that?
Speaker 1 (03:05):
The inhumane part is in the optic right, that's what
people perceive.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
It to be.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Could this wire cut the migrants if they're trying to
get across, Yes, sir, they could, and that's part of
the terrens.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Yes, sir. Now, if anybody does get cut, that's when
we step in again.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
We're not going to let somebody stand there have an injury.
This year, illegal crossings along the US border have plummeted
since soaring to record levels in December. Texas officials say
the dramatic drop stems from their aggressive operations, but Mexico
has also overseen a massive crackdown on migrants. Tens of
(03:39):
thousands of migrants are estimated to be waiting in Mexico
for a chance to enter the US. When we talk
about the humanitarian crisis along the US Mexico border, we
always focus on the side in the US. We rarely
see images like this in Mexico. Yeah, why is that?
Speaker 5 (03:56):
I think this is a way of you know, out
ofside of am I. You don't want to look at
the poor. You don't want to people that are vulnerable
because it makes us uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
People and his daughters who are preparing to spend another
night near the Texas barriers, hoping for a brighter future.
You think the sacrifice will ultimately be worth it. You
think you will be able to get into the US somedayres.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yes, and Camillo joins me. Now, Camillo is great reporting.
Thanks to him for those who are the migrants you
spoke with who are stuck there sleeping outdoors. Remind us
again why they are there and they have hope. But
what's next for them?
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Right?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
The simple answer, John, is that they're growing increasingly desperate.
The Biden administration, as you know, has set up the
system to allow some migrants to enter the US legally
at official border crossings if they are able to secure
an appointment through a smartphone app, but that process is
capped at fifteen hundred spots per day, and that the
man in Mexico we found is far higher. And so
(04:59):
many of these migrants are waiting months, as many as
six months, we heard to get an appointment, and some
of them are growing desperate and choosing to try to
cross illegally into the US, as we saw these migrants
try to do in the story, and what is in
their way for those people who are trying to cross
the border illegally are these layers of fencing and razor
(05:21):
wire that Texas is put in place to prevent migrants
from accessing border patrol agents, federal agents who can allow
the migrants who request asylum. Texas, as you know, has
no jurisdiction to process migrant migrants rather under immigration laws,
and so they cannot begin the asylum process with Texas officials.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
And just so just quickly do they are? They using
the app, trying to use the app and it's just clogged.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Those you talks, some of them are, and they're telling
us that they grew desperate and that they gave up
on trying because they woke up every morning at nine
am local time to get an appointment, but the appointments
go very quicker.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Quickly, tell me what Mexico is doing to correct do well.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Mexico has staged an aggressive and massive have cracked down
on migrants who are journeying north towards the US since
the beginning of a new round of negotiations in December,
when illegal crossings dropped sword Rather, Mexico has been stopping
more US bound migrants from boarding trains and buses that
would get them closer to American soil, and they're also
(06:20):
deporting more migrants to southern Mexico.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Tell me quickly, Camillo about the executive order, Where's that
stand inside the Biden ministry.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Sources familiar with the Biden administration's deliberations on immigration tell
me that President Biden is indeed considering and weighing whether
to invoke as a secutive authority to try to deter
migrants from cross from the US illegally. One proposal would
involve him invoking an executive power known as two twelve
F that allows presidents to suspend the entry of migrants
(06:48):
and foreigners when it is determined that their arrival would
be detrimental to US interest, but that is still up
in the air, we know, and of course any executive
order on immigration, as has been the case on the
publican and democratic administrations, would be challenging federal court.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Let me just hit pause there. I wanted you to
hear this entire report because there's two things that are happening. One,
you have a media that is giving you this report
and they're doing it in a way that makes it
seem like Texas is evil. And then they say there's
an aggressive crackdown by Mexico, but they won't act like
Mexico is evil in the same way that Texas is
(07:25):
for stopping people as millions of people are invading Mexico.
And that's a fact. Excuse me invading Texas from Mexico.
You have this standard which is if you protect your
border while you're being invaded, that somehow you're being inhumane
because you're using razor wire to stop people from invading,
(07:47):
which is also again completely insane. But did you notice
at the very end of that report, and I'm going
to call it right now, at the very end of
that report, you probably heard it, and what was said
there at the very end of that report, they said,
(08:08):
out of nowhere that Joe Biden is thinking about some
executive actions. So those executive actions, to be clear, would
be executive actions that would be the same thing that
Trump did to secure the border and have the most
secure border in my lifetime, that they then said Democrats
(08:29):
said was in humane. Right, remember when they said it
was again in humane. Now they're saying it's not in humane.
And this is going to happen, is my gut, pretty
close to election day, where the President is going to
admit that the border has become such an issue for
(08:49):
him that he's got to act like he's doing something
to fix the border so that people that are unhappy
with him will say, well, I mean, okay, finally fixed it,
or he's fighting back of it like he's starting to
fix it, like he's moving it in the right direction.
CBS News was soft launching that initiative for this White
(09:11):
House full stop. And that is the part that's the
most annoying to me, is that they're doing it and
floating it and getting people's like getting their minds around
it just so they can then actually do it. But
they don't want it to look like they're really cracking down.
They want it to look like they have no choice, right,
There's just no choice here. So let me tell you
(09:33):
about Patriot Mobile. For ten years, Patriot Mobile has been
America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. Why does that matter
to you, Because if you're with Big Mobile, then you're
giving big donations every time you pay your bill to
liberal causes, liberal candidates, liberal organizations, and you may actually
(09:56):
be helping fund Plan Parenthood. Now, when I found that
out years ago, I made the switch to Patriot Mobile.
And look, switching cell phone providers was not easy until
well recently. It's now twenty twenty four and I had
to switch a line the other day.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
It was easy.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
I didn't have to go into a store. I didn't
have to wait on the phone for hours on end.
In fact, the entire process switching from one provider to
another took me about ten minutes. Yes, that is now
how easy it is with technology to switch. You can
keep your same cell phone number you have right now,
your same device you have in your hand, or you
(10:35):
can upgrade to a new one if you want to. Now,
the best part about Patrion Mobile is not only do
you get the same coverage you're used to, because they
use the same exact towers you're using right now. But
every time you pay your bill, about five percent of
that bill actually goes back to fight for what we
believe in at no extra cost to you. Yeah, you'll
save money usually on your cell phone bill while supporting
(10:56):
conservative causes. They get money every single month to groups
that support free speech, groups that support religious freedom, and
most importantly for me, groups that support the sanctity of
life protecting unborn babies. They also are huge advocates for
the Second Amendment, and they get back to our military,
our veterans, and our wounded warriors as well as our
(11:18):
first responder heroes. So make a difference with every text,
with every phone call.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
Just go to.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Patriot Mobile dot com slash ben that's Patriot Mobile dot
com slash Ben, or call them nine to seven to

Also speaker Mike Johnson wants to stop quote undocumented immigrants
(11:47):
from voting. It is something they're now moving towards. They're
concerned about it, and you should be concerned about it.
House Speaker Mike Johnson call on Congress this past week
to pass his new Election Integrity Bill, which he claims
will prevent non citizens from voting in federal elections. This
(12:10):
is important because there's so many undocumented immigrants that Democrats
are trying to get to vote in our elections, and
some of them are actually allowed to vote in local elections,
which is a massive problem. Democrats are saying, well, it's
already illegal, so don't worry about it. You get to
decide on which side of that you want to be.
They but very very frustrating battle.
Speaker 7 (12:32):
Now.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
The fact that we're even having to have this debate
or fight over if non citizens should be able to
vote in our elections is insane. Also, something else I
want to throw on your radar screen. And not only
is it that the gopism Bilda Bill last week to
bar non citizens from voting in federal elections, prohibiting something
that already is illegal to address a problem Whall makers
(12:54):
are saying is a problem because of what Democrats are doing.
But Speaker Johnson was also last week and telling reporters
that Republicans are motivated by a institution seeking another law
that would limit the voting of US citizens, saying, this
(13:14):
is the big problem, saying, and again, I'm going to
give you the quote. We all know intuitively that a
lot of illegals are voting in federal elections, but it's
not been something that is easily provable. We don't have
that number. This legislation will allow us to do exactly that.
It will prevent that from happening. And if someone tries
to that's an legal immigrant vote in our elections, it
(13:34):
will now be unlawful within the states. That's why we're
doing this. Federal law since ninety six is banned non
citizens from voting in federal elections in many states have
pass laws that do the same for local elections. But
Johnson is making it clear now that we need to
have some reporting on this so we can figure out
how bad it actually is. Johnson saying, it's clear that
(13:56):
it's happening, we just don't know to what extents. Johnson
is making it clear that this is a issue moving
forward in the election that should matter now. Democrats are
responding by making it real simple. They're saying, look, it's
already illegal. This is ridiculous, this is anti immigration, this
is anti minorities. Is anti immigrant, bigoted legislation, is how
(14:21):
it's been described, and so therefore, since it is all
of those things, you shouldn't support it. Now I understand
exactly why Democrats don't want to support this legislation, and
the reason why is they want to allow illegal immigrants
to vote or have the ability to get in on
these elections because they believe, based on their data, that
(14:41):
overwhelming illegal immigrants will vote for the party that's made
it easy for them to break into America, right, I mean,
that's what this is all about, is about allowing them
to break in and having a wide open southern border.
I go back to that report that I played for
you just a few minutes ago from c and what
did CBSA. They're like, Wow, you don't understand, right, Like,
(15:04):
like you don't understand just how bad it is. You
don't understand how inhumane what Texas doing trying to secure
their border with millions of illegal immigrants coming in. You
just can't comprehend just how bad it is. I'm sorry,
I laugh. It's the way that they're trying to have
it both ways here, Like it's just laughable, it's embarrassing,
(15:27):
it's it's embarrassing, it's laughable, but it's also not surprising
at all. What Texas has been forced to do is
what many other states I think are going to do.
We also have some new audio coming in the President
of the United States of America Trump speaking ahead of
Michael Cohen's testimony in New York City. I want you
(15:52):
to hear what he had to say a moment ago
in New York.
Speaker 6 (15:54):
Listen. But the big thing today seems to be the Times.
I'm sure the Times is through respect him for at
least letting it come out. And there it is struck,
leading by a lot in every state, every swing state,
leading by a lot. This trial is rigged. It's dishonest.
(16:16):
It's a disgrace to New York. It's a disgrace to
the country. I should be out campaigne now instead of
sitting in a very cold courthouse all day long. This
is a Biden prosecution. It's election interference at a level
that nobody in this country has ever seen before.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
This is for.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Third world countries, not for the USA, thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
It's for third world countries, not for the USA. The
President also saying that this is about the judge and
corruption and what's happening in New York. Li'sten carefully, that's
what Biden.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
This will comes from Biden to the White House, by
the way, and they have that top equal here. He
can't when he can't put two sentences together, He's the
worst president in the history of our country. Can't speak,
can't walk off a helicopter, can't walk off a playing
can't walk off of stage. And the only way they
(17:13):
think they can win is if they can do something
with job, because we have an incompetent, the worst president
in the history of the United States of America, Jonathan. Generally,
after Bragg closes the prosecution's case, the defense will make
a standard motion for dismissal Mershid who is so through
(17:34):
and so conflicted like no judge has ever been. And
the presslers don't want to write about it, but you
know exactly what we're saying. Merciad should grant that motion
for dismissal. There's been no showing a crime. They failed
to protect the rights of the defendant from a baseless,
politically motivated prosecution. That's Jonathan's internally. All very talented legal experts.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
You know, you listen to this and you hear them
say it's coming from the Biden White House. It is.
The Biden White House is sitting there going after the
former president who's the leader, as you just mentioned, and
the Biden White House is trying to distract you with
anything they can, Like, Hey, we're gonna we're gonna go
(18:22):
hard on Israel all of a sudden. Wait what hey,
We're not gonna sell them arms. Wait what hey, We're
gonna say that Texas is evil because they're trying to
secure the border with Texas and not allow millions to
come in. Hey, we think every legal immigrant in this
country should be able to vote, but we don't want
to put a law out there that says they can't vote.
And we're gonna say the Republicans are evil. Hey, I mean,
what's next. We're gonna have balloons flying over this country
that are taking spy satellite pictures that we're not going
(18:44):
to get shot down. Oh wait, we already had that.
I mean, the list goes on and on. I'm waiting
for a full press conference from Biden now on Area
fifty one, Like what's going to be the next distraction
to get you to not look at the reality of
what's happening? Right now in this country, like look, look, area,
there's aliens over here. I'm not kidding, Like what's next,
(19:08):
I mean, what are they going to do next to
distract you? And then we're hearing very quietly that another
alien issue is going to be changed, not Area fifty
one aliens talking about legal aliens right that we may
get executive action from the President of the United States
America to secure the border right before the election because
they know it is such a damning issue for them.
(19:31):
That's everything you need to know about what's happening right now.
It's incredible. All right, let me take a moment and
talk to you real quick about your retirement and inflation
and the eroding of the power of the dollar. Right now,
inflation is well above what the Fed's target rate is.
You know what's happened. Consumer prices are much higher than
(19:52):
they were last year, the year before, and the year
before that. That's why all of us seen a financial
plan that ensures that money that we say today will
be enough for us tomorrow. And that's why I've diversified
my investments to include gold and silver. Now, there are
a lot of gold and silver companies. You hear them
every day. If you listen to conservative podcasts or talk radio.
(20:14):
If you watch TV conservative networks, you'll see tons of companies. Well,
let me tell you about Freedom Gold USA. Reason why
I love them. They preach protection and diversify in your assets.
They will not tell you to put all your money
in gold and silver. Now here's the other thing that
is really important to you. You work hard for your money,
just like I do. And on average, they charge twenty
(20:34):
five to thirty percent less than most major gold and
silver firms. So the ones that you hear from, they're
going to charge you, on average twenty five to thirty
percent more than what you're gonna pay. When you call
my friends at Freedom Gold USA, now you can take
control of your financial future right now, and you can
(20:55):
also get free silver in your account. They will walk
you through the process to talk to you about about
diversifying your investment your IRA you're four O one K

President Trump, speaking this morning before court uh talking about
several different issues, he said that the we call legal
(21:40):
expense a legal expense, we don't call it construction expense.
Talking about his defense and the absurdity of what has
happened here, I want you to listen to more of
what he had to say a moment ago outside the courthouse.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Rick Jar, I mean, I mean, you take a look
at this safe and the fourth way, and there's still
no evidence whatsoever connecting Trump with any criminal wrongdoing, a
crime that's not charged. It's a crime then, in which
prosecutors won't even tell the defender of.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
What it is.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
I have no idea what they're even doing. We have records,
and they talked about bookkeeping. The only thing doubt in
the bookkeeping is that we call a legal expense a
legal expense. We don't want a construction expense. We don't
say for a concertinge worm, we don't say for elect
goal warwer.
Speaker 8 (22:31):
We paid a lawyer a legal expense, and we have
a legal.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
Expense is illegal expense. It's marked out in the book.
Legal expense is perfectly marked out the other side doesn't
know how to handle it, but they say, let's indict
him anyway, because.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
By the way, I love how President Trump is doing
these press conferences beforehand walking out talking to media. It's
the right thing to do. By the way, Annie McCarthy
on the Trump trial, as this thing is continuing, here's
what he said a moment ago.
Speaker 9 (23:00):
Hey, all right, Andy McCarthy, even right in all weekends, now,
is your chance, all right to spill what you're thinking
about fraud? Has the state proven well that fraud has
taken place.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
No, as Jonathan's pointed out, they haven't come close to
proving that fraud has taken place. And it's they don't
just have to prove that fraud has taking place. They
have to prove that it was fraud that included a
specific intent to commit another crime, which we believe is
a federal campaign finance crime. It's astonishing that we don't.
(23:36):
We can't say that with complete certainty. That's supposed to
be spelled out in the indictment. But there's not a
scintilla of evidence that Trump was even thinking about federal
campaign law, let alone that they conspired to violate it.
And I think it's important to make this distinction. You know,
you can make an agreement, which, as Jonathan just said,
(23:58):
is a legal a rayment to not disclose or to
try to bury politically embarrassing information. You could absolutely intend
to do that. That doesn't mean that you were even
thinking about the federal campaign finance laws, much less willfully
violating them beyond a reasonable doubt, which is what Bragg
has to prove here to get a conviction, at least
(24:20):
as a matter of law. Whether they can sway the
jury is another matter. And the final thing I would
say about this is you can put somebody who is
even a convicted perjurer on the stand, But generally, the
agreement that a prosecutor makes to a jury, in terms
(24:41):
of the commitment that you make in the opening statement
and the way you try the case, is that we're
not going to ask you to convict on the basis
of a perjurer's testimony unless we can show you a
document or other testimony or something that corroborates that witness
on this disputed point. To repeat what Jonathan just said
(25:03):
as starkly as I can, they are asking this jury.
They have to ask this jury if they're going to
convict on fraud to accept this guy's uncorroborated testimony despite
his mountainous credibility problems. That is not something a prosecutor
would ordinarily do, which is why I think the prosecutors
(25:23):
in my old office, the Southern District of New York
decided not to pursue this case.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
You listen to the facts there from Andy, and you
look at this. I don't think they've come close to
this at all, and to making this case. I don't
think they've come even close. And Jonathan Turley said one
other thing about this when he was asked about it,
and Turley's point I think was really really interesting. He
(25:51):
said this about the DA brag and how he's solely
relying on a motivated judge that hates Trump and motivated
jury that ninety percent of them would have voted against
Trump re intrtd.
Speaker 8 (26:03):
Because the judge is seated and the jury is being
walked into the courtroom now and Jonathan Turley, Any McCarthy,
and Johnna Spillboard join our coverage for the best legal
analysis you'll see all day. Jonathan Turley, let me start
with you as Michael Cohen, who is known as a
serial perjurer could be the witness we hear from today.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
That's right, and his role here is quite telling because
the government has yet to establish what are called the
elements of any crime in this case, so they're at
the end of their witness list and it's now becoming
a parent what the strategy is, and that is the
Bragg is relying on a motivated judge and a motivated
(26:43):
jury to take him where he needs to go for conviction.
But before he gets there, he has to be able
to credibly argue that someone, anyone said that there was
direct evidence that Trump not only wanted to keep this
silent that's not a crime, but intentionally committed fraud, intentionally
wanted this denotation as a legal expense to conceal a crime.
(27:07):
Michael Cohen appears to be the person that he's going
to do that. Now you can look at that and say,
but who would believe someone that, just a few weeks
ago is denounce as a serial perjurer by another judge
And the answer is it doesn't matter because Bragg knows
that Trump can't take the stand after earlier rulings by
the judge in this case. So Cohen's testimony will not
(27:30):
be contradicted by Trump. So what Bragg will argue is,
you may think he's a liar, you may think that
he's a bottom feeder, but that's a question of credibility judge,
and so this has to go to the jury. That's
the strategy.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
So there it is. You're hoping that the books are
cooked enough with a liberal jury and one of the
most liberal areas of the country that voted ninety percent
against Trump in the last election. That's why they the
case in Manhattan. That's why the DA went in the
way that he went in all in. That's why he
(28:06):
decided to do all of this, was to make it
clear that he could grab a jury that was liberal
enough that they wouldn't really care about the facts. They
would just care about a political prosecution, which has been
from the very beginning, a political prosecution, which they can
(28:27):
then just go all in and say, hey, you don't
like Trump, you want Trump not to be president again.
Instead of voting against Trump on election day, do something
even better, make it where he doesn't even get a
chance to be president of the United States of America.
Convict him, vote against him by convicting him of a
(28:48):
crime that we created out of thin air, and we
got a judge that's in on it, we got a
da that's in on it, and let's go all in.
