Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, there's certain moments in politics that are just
really fun. This is one of them where everyone is
now speculating right now about the list, right the list
of who is going to be the vice presidential candidate,
who's going to get picked, and who's on the even

(00:22):
shorter short list after the earlier list came out this week,
Now there was a list, as I mentioned earlier.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
This week that came out.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
And on that list, if you went through the individuals,
it was Bergham Ben Carson. I told you I didn't
think that one was actually going to happen, just for
the record, but he was on the list. Former Secretary
of Housing and Urban Development, has a great relationship with
the President, and I think he put him on there
almost as a thank you for being loyal. Then there
was Representative Byron Donald's Republican for Florida.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I didn't think he was going to be on the
short list.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
As I said on the show, Marco Rubio, I thought
would definitely make it to the final cut.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Senator Tim Scott I.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Thought would definitely make it the final cut. Representative Elise
Tephonic I didn't think she'd make the final cut. And
then Senator JD. Vance, I said, would probably make it.
He's the most maga guy out there and he could
help you in theory in Ohio.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
We now are.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Getting reports that the President has now likely put it
down to this three Republicans. Okay, now on this list
of the three Republicans, and this is coming from leaks,
so you understand this. What we're being told is sources
close to the former president said that North Dakota Governor

(01:36):
Doug Bergham is on the list, on the short list.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Then it's Senator JD. Vance.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
He's the most maga of them all, is number two.
And then number three they're saying is Marco Rubio. They
are considered the likeliest picks at this point. Now, to
be clear, there is a handful of others that have
received vetting materials and Trump can make a surprise choice.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
What does that mean. I think Tim.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Scott is absolutely still on this list based on what
I've been told from other people in and around the campaign.
I also could see the President just screwing with the
media here, giving them these three guys and end up
being someone completely different. What I do know is Tim Scott,
and I say this because I want you to pay
attention This is my way of winking at all of

(02:25):
you through the airwaves. Is Tim Scott is going to
be at the debate? We've been told, So are you
going to show up with this debate if you're not
the guy?

Speaker 2 (02:35):
You understand my point, right?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I think he still believes very much that he is
on that short list. One Trump ally told the Hill
newspaper quote, I don't know how it all shakes out,
but I'm fairly confident it ends up being one of
those three. Now again, the three is JD. Vance, Marco Rubio,
and Doug Bergham. The former president also said his choice

(02:59):
for vice president would be at Thursday's debate. And I
said he was probably going to mess with the media,
mess with you and say, yeah, it's one of these
guys out here in the audience right now. Bergram, Rubio,
and Vance, as well as several others who are on
the list, are all expected to attend a fundraiser with
Trump in Atlanta following the debate, which tells me exactly

(03:22):
what I said to you. I don't know if we're
going to get a pick before the debate. Now he
could do something and like name it during the debate.
I don't think that would be his style.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
That's my gut.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Now maybe wrong, and we're going to explore that in
a moment. But first, let me tell you about my
friends over at Patriot Mobile. If you are a conservative
like me, and you're sick and tired of giving your
mind to companies that hate your values, hate your family,
hate your faith, then you need to know where your
money's been going.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
When you've been paying your bill every month to Big Mobile.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Big Mobile takes your money and they give big donations
to democratic causes, candidates and organizations, including Planned Parenthood. You
may not realize just how much money they are giving.
It is a lot, and they do it year after
year after year. When you pay your bill, I have

(04:16):
switched to Patriot Mobile. And let me just tell you,
in twenty twenty four, switching has never been easier with
your cell phone. It used to be miserable. That's why
people didn't do it. It's easy now. It's all done over
the phone. You can keep your same cell phone you
have right now. You can keep your same cell phone
number you have right now, and all you have to
do to call is call Patriot Mobile and switch. It's yes,

(04:39):
that easy. Their number nine seven to two Patriot. Now,
when you switch, this is what happens. You're going to
save money on what you're paying now, and something else
amazing is going to happen. They take about five percent
of your bill each and every month, and they give
it back to conservative causes, candidates and organizations, including organization

(05:00):
that fight for our First and Second Amendment rights, fight
to protect unborn babies, and they also support our military,
our veterans, our first responders, and are wounded warrior heroes.
That's why I want you to switch. So call them
nine to seven to two Patriot. It's nine seven to
two Patriot or Patriot mobile dot com slash ben that's

(05:22):
Patriot mobile dot com slash ben or nine seven to
two Patriot. All right, now, let's get back to this list.
I think Trump is probably messing with everybody in the
media right now. He's gonna have some fun to debate
and say, my vice presidential Kenned is in the audience tonight,
and he's gonna have a lot of fun messing with

(05:43):
people that way, and he's gonna enjoy every single moment
of that. All right, So prepare for that. That's what
I think he's going to do. Do I think that
these people that are leaking know exactly what Trump's gonna do.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
I do not believe they are.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
I think the list is bigger than the three that
they're mentioning, and I think it's probably down to four
or five. And I think if there's anybody that can
change their mind at the last minute, it would no doubt.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Be Donald Trump.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Donald Trump will decide when this is going to happen,
and I think it will probably be after the debates.
I think he'll go and have the moment after He'll
go to Atlanta to the fundraiser. He'll do his fundraiser
there with all these other cats around him. He'll show
a sign of unity and force of the Republican movement
behind him, and he's going to like that image, I think,

(06:35):
for quite some time. And that's what this is really
going to be about for him. I think it's going
to be a smart move, by the way, to enjoy
these headlines and have so many people behind you wanting
the job in defending you. That's another aspect of why
I don't believe when the media says, oh, it's down
to these three and this is the only three and
there's no others I just.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I don't believe it. I don't buy it.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I also think the President enjoys what comes from all
of these individuals, and by waiting a little bit longer,
they're all out there doing surrogate work on his behalf.
They are all out there advocating for him this president
or debate. Right afterwards, they're all going to be doing
interviews and they're all going to be supporting President Trump
and echoing his message. I think there's some people on

(07:19):
the short list that actually do not believe they're going
to get it, but they're looking and jocking for cabinet positions.
Ben Carson is a great example of that. Let's Stefanic
is another great example of that. I think even Bergham,
who yes, I think he's clearly on the short short list,
but he also is an individual that could be in

(07:39):
the cabinet in a major secretary position. This is the
reason why I just straight up believe that this is
all going to be a big show this week that's
going to help him get elected.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
And I'm in favor of that.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Now, let me also tell you about another major development
in the campaign of Joe Biden that is actually I
would argue more important than what I just talked to
you about, and that is Joe Biden's campaign chair has
an essence now surrendered Florida's thirty electoral votes to Donald Trump.
Joe Biden's campaign chairman, Jen O'Malley Dillon, has already conceded

(08:16):
Florida's thirty electoral votes to former President Trump. During a
podcast interview with the far left Puck, O'Malley dillon was
asked if the campaign considered Florida a legitimate battleground state,
on that they would you contest in the coming months.
Her answer was a flat no, they are admitting defeat there.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
The other question that was asked about this, I'm gonna
get back to Florida a moment was are you saying
you see North Carolina also as a battleground state. O'Malley
dylan said yes, Then Florida she said again no, This
was what was said from the campaign.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Now, Biden's ground organizing.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Staff in Florida heard this news, and now they are
apparently completely demoralized, like what are we doing here? If
you guys are giving up on Florida, why are we
even still here? It also sends a message of democratic
voters that your vote doesn't really matter in Florida because
we've already given up and we think we're going to lose. Now,

(09:22):
Conceding a state is important as Florida and those electoral
votes this early on is I think, actually want a
shocking move that it's happening this early. But two, I
also think it shows you just how tone death Biden
has been on issues that deal with many seniors and

(09:43):
border issues in the border crisis, and that's the reason
why he's having to concede this early. I also think
in the same breath that this is actually a very
smart move by the Democratic Party because they realize they
don't have unlimited resources this time to run Joe Biden
the way they did last time, and so they're saying, Okay,

(10:04):
we've got to be smarter with our resources, right, We've
got to be smarter with our manpower, and we're not
going to go out there and try to play in
a state like Florida that's leaning so far to Donald
Trump and to the governor there, DeSantis, and think that
we're going to somehow pull like some massive upset. It's

(10:25):
just not going to happen. And so you look at
the calendar right now, and it's June. The election is
not until November. So when you start conceding in June
a state that is as important as Florida that has
been in play by the way, in the past in
Florida for the Democratic Party, that also, I think tells

(10:48):
you about the mentality right now of the electorate, especially
those that are suffering and those that have also left
places like New York and California and have gone to
place like Florida, which is I think has actually made
the state of Florida even more conservative. I also think
that the issue of the tone death aspect of this

(11:13):
president when it comes to protecting us on the issue
of illegal immigrants. There are seven plus million illegal immigrants
right now in this country that are awaiting court hearings
or deportation. This is coming from the former acting ICE
director on Fox Listen and.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Former US Border Patrol trief Ron. So essentially, ICE says
they're going to replace this center. It houses about sixteen
excuse me, twenty four one hundred people, and they're going
to replace that with sixteen hundred beds at other facilities.
First off, sixteen hundred is eight hundred less than twenty

(11:56):
four hundred.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
And then second of all, aren't the.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Rest of the detention facilities in that already at over capacity.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Well, all of the border patrol processing facilities have been
over capacity for quite some time. ICE's detention space is
probably underfunded given the volume of activity that's happening at
the border. And then this administration, you can just tell
they don't their tone deaf on this issue. Besides having
no credibility, what's happened at the Southwest border is an
absolute travesty. We saw what happened to this family in Houston,

(12:25):
the family in New York the week a couple of
days before. I mean, this is happening all over the country,
and having fewer detention beds, having not enough funding for detention,
I mean, think about the numbers that we just saw
are the people that got away. That's a big problem,
that's a big thread across the country. Then you also
have the government releasing people in vast numbers. The fastest
way to deport somebody is to have them in detention.

(12:47):
The fastest way not to be deported is to be
out of detention, and there are millions of people in
that situation. Just since the pendency of this presidency.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Let's throw up some.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Of those numbers so our viewers at home can see
what you're talking about. This is ICE's non detained docket.
It has more than doubled since President Biden came to
office three years ago. You can see right here fiscal
year twenty twenty one three point six million, and counting
fast forward to today fiscal year twenty twenty four so
far seven point four million. We're only halfway through the year.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
It's out of control.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
It's another example of how this administration has been derelict
in their duty to secure the border and protect the country.
There's no reason for that many people to be released
in the United States, but because of the policies that
were rescinded when Joe Biden took over, we have this
huge rush at the border.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
We're still in record territory.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Even though they've noted a downturn in activity, We're still.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
In record territory. You're still at today's pace.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
You still have a million people that are going to
be encountered by CBP in a year's time.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
So this is what the administration says about reasons for
shutting this down. This is a statement from ICE. ICE
continually reviews the overall detention capacity and in so doing
take action to close certain facilities that no longer provide
a sufficient return on investment. This includes so then closing
the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, which

(14:10):
is the most expensive facility in the national detention network. Okay,
so we get it, it's expensive. What do they mean
by return on investment?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Well, this thing was built to house families together in
detention back in the Obama administration, so twenty around the
era twenty fourteen, it was open to whole families together
so that they could see a judge, have the due process,
and be removed because most of them didn't qualify for
the asylum claims that they were making, So it was
built specifically for that. It's not as good for single adults,

(14:40):
which can be held and should be held in larger
numbers given what's going on at the border, and so
you know they're trading those dollars for other dollars in
different facilities.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
All right, well, you know it's something Ron, We got
to leave it there, but thanks for coming in.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
I mean, you listen to Ron here, former acting ICE director,
and what he just said is not only the Bideminster
tone death on the border crisis. But there's no reason
for that many people to be released into the United
States of America, seven plus million. Many of them are
not going to show up for their court dates. Many
of them are not going to show up for deportation
right like, They're just not going to. They know they

(15:15):
don't have to. They know that no one's gonna come
and get them. They know that no one's going to
deport them as long as Joe Biden is the president
of the United States of America. So you combined all
of that intel and all of that data, and it
simply says to you, Hey, guess what.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
We're letting you in.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
This is what Biden's saying through actions, not words, but
through actions. Okay, we're letting you in. You're going to
come into this country. We're letting you into this country.
We're not going to come find you. Don't show up
for your court date, don't show up for anything, and

(15:55):
just live your life, and eventually we will.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Give you amnesty.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
This is no different, by the way, than what happened
with just a few days ago, a few weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Was buying votes right when you had all.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Of a sudden, the President go, I'm gonna, you know,
give a bunch of money away and student loan forgiveness
yet again, and we're gonna do this. So it's gonna
make amazing huge difference here.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Now.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Number one, the Supreme Court has already said you can't
do this, and what is the President said, here's the
middle finger, Supreme Court.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
I can do whatever the hell I.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Want to do because I'm the president and I don't
have to listen to you. There are no checks and
balances on me, all right, So that's number one.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
They've already said you can't do this.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
But if you announce it and you lie the American people,
then somebody's gonna be dumb enough to vote for you, going, oh,
many paid off my student loaned it.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Right, everything's good.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Well, now we have another judge that has had to
jump in this from the Today Show.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Federal judges in Kansas and Missouri have temporarily blocked President
Biden's student loan forgiveness program. So the rulings put on
the Save plan, which allows borrowers whose balances were twelve
thousand dollars or less to have their debt forgiven after
ten years. The decision does not cancel financial assistance that's
already been provided. In a statement, the White House said this,

(17:14):
we strongly disagree with today's rulings and the Department of
Justice will continue to vigorously defend the SAVE Plan.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
So that's called buying votes, right.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
You say, hey, you've had a student loan debt for
you know, it's under twelve grand for you know, you
had it for ten years, a decade, and so here's
a deal.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Here's what we want to do with you.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
We want to We're just going to forgive that, right,
We're just we're just going to forgive it and thank
you for voting for Joe Biden for President twenty twenty four.
This is this is an end kind donation. This is,
i think, actually against the law, buying votes. It's supposed
to be against the law. But the President units it's America,
is saying to the American people, even after the Supreme
Court said you have no authority to do this, you

(17:55):
cannot do this. This will not stand. I'm going to
do it anyway. It's called by votes. That's what it is. Okay,
It's called buying a vote. And the President is obviously
very desperate right now. He desperately needs to buy votes,
and he's giving up on places like Florida, conceding the

(18:16):
state to Donald Trump. Now, let me explain on this
debt forgiveness why Joe Biden and his team think this
is a smart play even though they know that these
judges are going to knock them around. This federal judge
on Monday that temporarily barred the Education Department from allowing
additional loan forgiveness under a key component of President Joe

(18:36):
Biden's student loan relief plan, which is a plan to
buy votes. The judges order halted the cancelation of federal
student loans under the Income Driven Repayment Plan known as
SAVE after several states suit over the program. The Biden
administration isn't joined from any further loan forgiveness for borrowers
under the final rules SAVE plan until such time as

(18:58):
the court can decide the case on the merits. That's
what the US District Judge John A. Ross wrote. The
same plan came about after the Supreme Court last year
rejected the Biden administration's broader effort to address debt under
its pandemic air Relief plan, which aimed a race up

(19:19):
to twenty thousand dollars in federal student loan debt for
about forty three million borrowers. Translation, we're trying to buy
forty three million votes and giving each one of them
twenty grand.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
To vote for US.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Ross also rejected an effort by the Biden administration to
dismiss the case, saying the state that brought the lawsuit
had standing and quote are likely to succeed on the
merit of their argument that the early loan forgiveness provisions
were done in a manner exceeding the Secretary's test tory authority,
referring to the Secretary of Education. The Missouri Attorney General

(19:57):
Andrew Bailey, representing one of the seven states that brought
the lawsuit, also talking about the ruling, saying this quote.
By attempting to saddle working people with Ivy League debt,
Joe Biden is undermining our constitutional structure, Bailey said in
a statement, saying, quote, only Congress has the power of
the purse, not the President. Today's ruling was a huge

(20:19):
win for the rule of all and for every American
whom Joe Biden was about to force to pay off
someone else's debt. Arkansas's Attorney General Tim Griffin said, quote,
With Independence Day fast approaching, another court is reminded President
Biden that he is not a king. He can't go

(20:41):
around Congress and unilaterally cancel student loans. He should have
learned that from School House Rock.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
That makes me laugh.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Kansas Attorney General echoed the same thing by saying in
his statement that the loan forgiveness plan quote is not
only unconstitutional, it's unfair, saying blue collar workers who didn't
go to college shouldn't have to pay off the student
loans of New Yorkers with gender studies degrees.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
These guys are amazing.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
The other states involved in the lawsuit include Now Florida, Georgia,
North Dakota, Ohio, and Oklahoma, and their lawsuits the states
that asked the judges declare that the program violated the
separation of powers under the Constitution because the President doesn't
actually have the power to do this.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Ross set.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Other aspects of the programs, such as lowering monthly payments
and limiting interests, accrule are benefiting borrowers and can continue,
adding that the states that sue have not shown that
these provisions harm them, meaning the state or the tax payers.
In another blow by the way to the Biden administration
student loan debt relief plan. A federal judge blocked the

(21:50):
Biden administration from impending parts of the program that we're
set to go into effect on July one, so just
six days from now. It's a Judge Daniel Crabtree found
that while Kansas and ten other states that sued over
the same plan had not demonstrated irreparable harm from provisions
already in effect, they had shown irreparable harm from forthcoming provisions.

(22:15):
He granted their requests for a preliminary injunction of aspect,
and he says that these have not been implemented yet,
but if they were, it would cost people out of money.
So his order is set to go into effect Sunday night,
allowing time for any appeals now. The eleven states had
argued in their March lawsuit that the program violated the

(22:36):
Constitution and also the Administrative Procedure Act, and that many
of them suffered losses of state tax revenue because of
the plan's provisions, specifically related to student loan forgiveness.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Don't worry.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
The White House Press secretary doing what she does best,
blasting the court ruling undermining the court and the rule
of law, saying quote, we strongly disagree with today's ruling
on our Save Plan, and the Department of Justice will
continue to vigorously defend the Save Plan. It's unfortunate that
Republican elected officials and their allies have fought tooth and

(23:09):
nail to prevent their constituents from accessing lower payments and
a faster path to debt forgiveness, and that courts are
now rejecting authority that the Department has applied repeatedly for
decades to improve income driven repayment plans. In a separate statement,

(23:30):
that the Secretary of Education had that his department has
relied on the authority under the Higher Education Act three
times over the last thirty years to implement income driven
repayment plans. The Justice Department, which obviously is going to
do everything they can defend Biden, has declined to comment
on the rulings. Now you look at all this and
why are they still doing it knowing they're going to lose.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
It's real simple.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
The Biden administration has forgiven significant amounts under the Save Plan.
Last month, officials and ounce the approval of an additional
one hundred or six hundred and thirteen million in debt
to be canceled for more than fifty four thousand borrowers
under the plan. Those fifty four thousand borrowers have family
and friends. If you get rid of six hundred and
thirteen million in debt right by fifty four thousand borrowers

(24:17):
under this plan, that's a lot of people that were
vote for you. The administration also said last month, and
this is the second reason why they're doing this, playing
politics in line to the American people that quote, overall,
four point seven five million people have benefited from debt
cancelation actions, and that it had approved the one hundred

(24:39):
and sixty seven billion in loan forgiveness. So what does
it cost you to buy four point seventy five million votes?
Apparently it costs you one hundred and sixty seven billion dollars,
your tax dollars. They understand this. It's real simple. You
look at someone who has student loan debt, especially someone

(24:59):
that's younger, and you look at a family of two,
for example, and in that family of two, right, there's
a husband and a wife, or a husband a husband
or a wife and a wife.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Right.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
The Biden administration doesn't care what your family looks like.
They just want you to vote for them. And you
walk in and you go, Hi, I'm Joe Biden for
president because you voted for me. I just got rid
of forty thousand dollars of your debt. You think those
people are going to vote for Joe Biden? Absolutely, And
that is exactly why this is bribery. This is bribing

(25:36):
those that are running for office and bribing them in
a way that is that is so transparent. I can't
get over the transparent aspect of this bribery. Okay, Like
that's the part that you really need to understand. They're
not hiding it, folks. They are saying, I'm I want

(26:00):
your vote, and I'm willing to give you twenty grand
for it. And they know that the people that are
going to pay for this are gonna be mad, but
it doesn't matter because there's so many people that will
vote for them if they do this. They do outweigh,
they've done the math. They understand that if they can
get forty million people debt relief and there's twenty million

(26:21):
that are mad at them, that's a two to one ratio. Right,
you might lose one vote but you just gain two.
That's a deal that almost every politician would take every day.
Except the difference this time is it's not a policy,
it's bribery. It's not a I'm going to protect America,

(26:41):
I'm going to secure the border, I'm gonna whatever make
schools better. No, no, this is just simple bribery. One
final thought on this. This is a moment when Donald
Trump should hammer the president, not only for lawlessness and
the debate, but looking at the America people.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
And knowing that he's lying to the American.
