Speaker 1 (00:00):
As we are just hours away from the polls opening
on election Day and all time record high early voting
numbers that have already come in. The question many are
asking is should I get up tomorrow and should I
make time to go vote. It is a question that
many Americans are going to be asked themselves in the

(00:21):
next few hours as they go to sleep. Should we
vote tomorrow, honey or dear? Or should they call a
friend and go vote? Do you want to stand in line?
Is it actually worth it? Well, let's start with a
reminder of where we are now and why your vote
now may matter more than you actually ever realized. Inflation

(00:44):
is the number one issue. It is the economy. I
keep saying it over and over again. It is the economy, stupid.
And if you're still really not sure whether you should
vote or not, then maybe this will help. Energy prices
are up thirty four point three percent compared to where
they were under Donald Trump. The price of gas up

(01:07):
thirty eight point two percent under Harris and Biden, electricity
up thirty one point three percent under Harris and Biden,
fuel oil up thirty seven point four percent under Harris
and Biden. Natural gas Going into election day up twenty
four percent, Transportation up thirty one percent, new cars up

(01:32):
over twenty percent, car insurance up fifty six and a
half percent. Airline tickets are up twenty four point five percent.
Hotel is up more than forty two percent, the cost
to stay in a hotel. Groceries, depending on where you live,

(01:53):
up as much as thirty percent. You want to know
how much eggs cost you now compared to when Donald
Trump was president? Seventy percent up right now? Breakfast cereal
up twenty two percent. Margarine because apparently you can't afford
butter right now it's so expensive, is up fifty four percent.

(02:16):
Dried beans, peas, lentils up twenty three percent, frozen vegetables
up twenty seven percent. You want to bake a cake?
This reminds me of the Great Depression. Flour up thirty
five point eight percent, peanut butter up forty two percent,

(02:37):
Coffee up twenty to thirty percent, depending on where you live.
And then let's talk about your kids. Where are we
now compared to where we were the last day Trump
was in office? Food at pre case. At schools, I
should say, kindergarten through twelfth grade up seventy percent if

(02:58):
you don't like kids, you like pets, maybe you're the
crazy woman with cats. Your pet food is up more
than twenty four percent, and clothing skyrocketing depending on which category,
between fifteen percent to fifty percent. Non prescription drugs, tail
and al Advil, alive, Tom's basic things like that up

(03:23):
over sixteen point six percent. This is where we are
right now when it comes to the issue of inflation. Now,
if that's not enough to wake you up, let's talk
about what's happening with the economy and you providing for
your family. Last month, only twelve thousand new jobs were added.

(03:45):
The estimates were supposed to be one hundred and thirteen
thousand jobs that were added. The jobs the worst jobs
report we've had in the history of the Biden Harris administration,
meaning things are getting even worse. They also lied about
the number of jobs that were added earlier this month

(04:07):
and last month and the month before, as eight hundred
thousand jobs disappeared, meaning they never were filled by Americans,
and the federal government lied to you. Let's talk about
crime real quick. We had more illegal immigrants coming into
the country last month than jobs were created, and there

(04:27):
are many illegal immigrants that are coming into this country
that are committing heinous crimes. Yes, Kamala har is silent
on the crime in this country because she doesn't want
you to know that there are a significant number of
people that are on the terrorist watch lists that have
come across our southern border. There are tens of thousands

(04:50):
of convicted rapists and convicted murderers that will be the
first to be deported if Donald Trump is elected. That
she doesn't want to admit her open borders have allowed
into this country. We also have another issue that has
now come to light, and they've been lying about the
housing numbers. The American dream for many Americans is to

(05:16):
own a home. There is a Harris housing crisis and
first time buyers have now fallen into a new record low.
This breaking as I am recording this right now. The
share of home purchases made by first time home buyers
fell to the lowest level on record in history this

(05:38):
year as many younger Americans were priced out of the
market by home price inflation. Then, on top of that,
the high interest rates that have skyrocket on home ownership
under Harris and Biden because of inflation and the cost
of living increases that I just mentioned before. First time buyers, unfortunately,

(06:04):
now have made up just twenty four percent of purchases
in twenty twenty four. That according to the National Association
of Realtors, That is the lowest mark since the National
Association of Relators began collecting data back in nineteen eighty one.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
That would be forty two years ago.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
So for all of the data that's ever been collected
on home buyers, first time home buyers are at the
lowest level since data was collected in nineteen eighty one,
that was the year that I was born. It also
marks a steep decline from last year, where first time
buyers made up thirty three percent of purchases. During Donald

(06:49):
Trump's presidency, you want to know what the average was
more than thirty three percent, because we had low prices
and low interrs and it allowed for Americans to actually
experience the American dream. The median first time buyer age
has also jumped to thirty eight years old this year

(07:13):
from just thirty five years old last year. That is
the largest increase year over year in the age gap
in this country for first time home buyers. So if
Harris is the president, the average age you're going to
find out for a first time home buyer in her
administration will be forty years old to buy your first home.

(07:36):
That would be the median age, meaning fifty percent will
be above forty the first time they ever own their home.
During Trump's presidency, that number was all the way down
to thirty three years old.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Quote.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
The US housing market is split into two groups, first
time home buyers struggling to enter the market and current
homeowners buying with cash. That is what the National Association
of Realtors said in a statement, saying first time buyers
are now facing high home prices, high mortgage interest rates,

(08:10):
limited inventory, making them a decade older with significantly higher
incomes than previous generations to buy a home. So, in
other words, you have to wait another decade to buy
a house under the Harris regime. If that doesn't wake

(08:30):
you up and make you want to go to the polls,
I don't know what does. But that's not the only
problem that this administration has. And if you want to
know why you should wake up and go vote, and
why you should call a friend and go vote, it's
not even just these issues I've laid out for you,
but it's also the issue of crime. In our cities.

(08:52):
Violent criminals have taken over so many of our cities.
You have activist das that are refusing to act actually
go after criminals they're committing heinous crimes. This is part
of the radical left's agenda to empty the jails, to
have bail reform, prison reform, and not hold people accountable

(09:12):
for their actions. This is part of the defund the
police movement that is very much a part of Harris
and Biden and their administration. She is in favor of
bail reform. Bail reform means if you don't have money
because you're quote poor, we don't keep you in jail,
no matter how heinous your crime is. This is also
about making sure we don't put people in jail that

(09:34):
commit Hannes' crimes. That's part of prison reform as they
describe it. But there is also another problem. The number
of illegal immigrants have come across the southern border because
of the wide open borders, and this administration just doesn't care.
Take a listen to the local news covering this issue.

(09:54):
They don't spend much time on it. This story just
twenty seconds long, and tell me if this is a
bigger issue than twenty seconds of local media attention and
no national media attention at all.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
This morning, This Westbury man here on your screen. He's
accused of raping a five year old girl. Detective Say
Wilson Castillo Diaz assaulted the girl about two weeks ago.
Polly Say, the twenty six year old entered the country
illegally back in twenty fourteen, was arrested and released, but
never showed up for his immigration hearing. We're told ICE

(10:27):
has been notified about this. Police are not asking anyone
who believes that they may be a victim to give
them a call.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
This crime has become so common that even on the
local news twelve there in Long Island, they only gave
it twenty seconds of airtime of an illegal immigrant raping
a five year old and saying, by the way, if
anyone else has been raped by this man, please call
the authorities. This is an illegal immigrant that came into
this country illegally, who raped this five year old. And

(10:57):
they say, hey, sorry, it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
It is.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
How about a Honduran illegal immigrant? And again, this is
not in a border city. These are happening in other
towns all over the country that are not bordered towns.
Here's another story for you night.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox forty five the suspected killer,
identified as an alleged MS thirteen gang member, is also
just sixteen.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
That's right, and let's go straight to Fox forty five
for Rebecca Prior. She joins US Live with some new
details and explains why the team is wanted by both
local and federal authorities. Rebecca, Hey, Mary, and Kay. It
is a case that is now highlighting the state's ongoing
challenges with youth violence and now immigration issues. Today, federal

(11:42):
officials telling Fox forty five that the teenage murder suspect
is believed to be a Hondura's national living in the
country illegally. Take a look. This is what he looks like.
This afternoon, Baltimore County Police releasing sixteen year old Brian
Rodriguez's photo asking for the public's help tracking him down.
He's wanted in connection to a deadly shooting that took
place on Sunday at the Ramada Hotel in Pikesville. Hotel

(12:06):
staff telling Fox forty five it was a group of
teenagers that were inside of one of the rooms when
gunfire rang out around two PM, striking another sixteen year
old who later died at the hospital. According to law
enforcement sources, Fox forty five confirming Rodriguez is an alleged
MS thirteen gang member and accused of entering the US
illegally in twenty eighteen, making him the target of local

(12:28):
police and federal immigration agents. For now, it's unclear if
this was his first alleged offense. For the past three days,
Fox forty five has been asking police and DJs if
this is their first encounter with Rodriguez and if he
was under DJs monitoring at the time of the shooting.
So far, police have not responded to the questions directly
in DJs claims that they can't comment on individual cases

(12:50):
beyond knowns and ongoing manhunt putting County residents we spoke
with on Edge this.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Evening, continuing on the lines of this juvenile crime that
we're seeing that that's just more violent.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
That makes me a concern for my lemon year old.
I worry about his safety and all the kids safety
that I know, and anybody because they could have missed
that person and hit somebody else.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
Again.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Police are encouraging anyone with any information into this case
to come forward, but warn that this suspect should not
be approached. If you see him, call nine one one.
Police are also offering a two thousand dollars reward for
any information that could lead to an arrest.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Now I play you that story because I also know
what the left is going to say. You can't deport children.
This murderer, this MS thirteen gang member with sixteen, that's
a child. This is what is coming into this country.
Are you telling me that a sixteen year old MS

(13:51):
thirteen gang member shouldn't be deported from this country? Because
they're gonna make you want to cry and talk about
how evil conservatives are that we want to start deporting people.
Let me tell you, I want to deport every sixteen
year old military aged man seventeen or eighteen, get them
the hell out of this country, and allow for people
to come this country the legal, in correct way. We

(14:13):
should not allow for illegal immigrants to come into this
country the way that we have it now, especially with
a number of gangs and the number of rapists and
the number of convicted murderers that we've allowed into this country.
But you want to know what our government's doing, You
want to know what the Harris and Biden administration. You're
doing you know to know what liberals are doing right now, Well,

(14:33):
these types of heinous crimes are being committed. They're going
in and raiding the homes of Internet sensations that have
a pet squirrel.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I wish I was joking, I'm not.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
And this is exactly when you know your government is
no longer working for you, but a government that believes
that they own you, and a government believes that they
can take anything they want from you. You may not
have heard about this story, or maybe you have, but
I think it's a perfect way to put this election
into perspective.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
There was a squirrel, a.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Squirrel I can't even believe him having this conversation that
was an Internet sensation, had its own Instagram page help
raise money for other animals, and peanut the squirrel was
clearly being well taken care of by a family. This
squirrel has been euthanized after there was a raid on

(15:35):
the home of the owner of this squirrel, who also
had a quote pet raccoon, and high profile conservatives and
Trumps supporters, including Elon Namusk, have galvanized around the death
of this Internet famous squirrel. Following New York State's Authority's
decision to euthanize the animal, using this incident to make

(15:58):
the perfect point that this is extreme government overreached just
one day before the election. A government that goes after
the owner of a pet squirrel, a pet squirrel that
in every video you can clearly tell is being well
taken care of and is helping raise money for other animals.

(16:20):
And you go in and you raith the homeowner of
this squirrel because you want to show them that you're
the government, and then you euthanize this pet squirrel. This
tells you how you know the government is not working
for you. Newsweek had this headline, how Peanut the squirrel

(16:41):
became the center of a MAGA firestorm. Yeah, because we
understand when government is out of control. They're not rating
the home of MS thirteen gang members. They're not raiding
the home of child rapists or murderers. They're not raiding
the homes of those they're committing hands crimes. No, they're
raiding the home of former presidents like Donald Trump, his allies,

(17:01):
and a dude that has a pet squirrel.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Newsweek put it this way.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
The decision of New York Wildlife officials to euthanize a
squirrel named Peanut who was famous on social media, has
ignited a firestorm response from MAGA Republicans claiming government overreach.
If this isn't government overreach, I don't know what is.
Peanut and his owner, a thirty four year old a
guy by the name of Mark, was devastated when New

(17:26):
York State officials seized and euthanized the squirrel, as well
as fred, a raccoon that he had rescued. The authorities
came to his Pine City, New York home after an
anonymous complaint about the animal's quote living conditions. The two
animals were featured on the Instagram account Peanut the Squirrel
This Guy Wasn't Hiding It, which currently had six hundred

(17:48):
ninety two thousand followers. The man who cared for Peanut
for seven years after he rescued the squirrel after witnessing
its mother being struck by a car in New York City.
Instagram page included videos of the squirrel doing tricks. On Friday,
the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, a part
of the state's government, they seized the raccoon and the

(18:13):
squirrel sharing a residence with humans, creating the potential for
human exposure to rabies, they claimed. In addition, a person
involved with the investigation was bitten by the squirrel. They said, well, yeah,
you're stealing it away from its family to test for rabies.
Both animals were quote unquote ethanized. The animals are being
tested for rabies, and anyone who had been in contact
with these animals is strongly encouraged to quote consult their physician,

(18:38):
they claim. They added that the County Department of Health
and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation are
coordinating to ensure the protection of public health related to
the illegal possession of wild animals that had the potential
to carry the rabies virus. On Sunday, former President Trump
running mate JD. Vance sold a crowd a Stanford, North

(19:00):
Carolina rally that Trump was fired up about the death
of the squirrel. He was like, you know, it's really
the case that the Democrats murdered the Elon Musk of squirrels,
Vance added, tech billionaire Musk, who was endorsing Donald Trump,
wrote on as this vote for peanut, vote for liberty,

(19:20):
for freedom. The post has now been viewed more than
thirty five million times and has garnered over two hundred
and fifty five thousand likes. You want to know why.
This is the sad part about this closing argument about
why you shoot up and vote, Because we have a
government now that will raid the home of a dude
that had a pet that became famous, But they won't

(19:42):
raid the home of the terrorists that are on the
terrorists watch lists that have broken into this country, the
MS thirteen gang members that are taking over apartment complexes
and breaking into homes. They won't raid into the homes
of squatters who have taken over the homes of American
citizens Because they don't care about you. They do care
about controlling you. They care about controlling every aspect of

(20:06):
your life. This is what dictators and tyrants do. They
try to control every aspect of your life. We are
less than twenty four hours away from election day, voting beginning.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
The question is what does it look like now nationwide?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Does it look across the state, and what can you
expect tomorrow and how important is for you to go
and vote. Joining me now to talk about this is
US Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Senator always a pleasure to chat with you.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
I've got a lot of questions for you this morning
that many Americans I know are worried about. So let's
start at the national level. You obviously are tight with
Donald Trump involved with the campaign. What is your gut
going in tomorrow with the presidential and then we're going
to work our way down.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Yes, and the press event has done well in polling.
We know that he gets a vote total higher than
what he polls, and we are excited for him for tomorrow.
He is in good spirit. He is campaigning up to
the last minute, and you're going to see him give

(21:20):
it all the energy he's got.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Let's talk about Tennessee and the issues here are affecting people.
What is going to drive people the polls. I think
it's the economy. I go back to, it's the economy stupid.
It's the economy stupid. It's the economy stupid. That's what
matters to Tennesseeans the most. Is the economy first and foremost.
And we saw these shocking numbers that the lowest job

(21:46):
creation was in October. There were more legal immigrants that
came to this country than Americans got jobs. They were
expecting one hundred and thirteen thousand jobs to be added.
Only twelve thousand were added. That's the lowest month ever
for Biden Harris with Bidenomics and Harris's agenda, and that
is affecting Tennesseeans in a very big way.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
You're right about that. And the economy and inflation, You're
exactly right. That is issue number one. And as we
are in and out of each of our ninety five counties,
that is what we are hearing. This inflation rate. You know,
when you look at the fact that when Donald Trump
left office, inflation was one point four percent, and today

(22:32):
that cumulative inflation rate is twenty and a half percent.
Tennessees are Tennesseeans are spending oney twenty three dollars more
each month to buy the same basket of goods that
they were buying in October of twenty twenty. That is
the impact of Biden Harris and their economic policies which

(22:56):
are not working for hardworking people.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Your website, one of the things I found was very
interesting on there was that you have the US national
debt cock up. I haven't seen that on many other
campaign websites, and it says and you have up there
with the US debt now thirty four plus trillion, it's
now thirty five trillion and soaring. You are committed ending
the Democratic debt disaster. What would change if the Republicans

(23:25):
gain control of the Senate. Obviously Democrats doing everything they
can to make sure that doesn't happen, But there hasn't
been a lot of indications in the past, and this
is a criticism of Conservatives, that we've done enough to
stop out of control government spending. Do you believe there's
a political willpower there now that if Republicans get control
of the Senate, that will actually be able to do

(23:47):
something about the national debt.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
I do think you'll see something done about the national debt.
And then, as you said, this is something that is
just racing now with President Donald Trump, you will see
day one action that would freeze federal spending, federal hiring,
federal salaries, and then you would start to work it

(24:10):
down from there. Of course, as you know, I do
three pieces of legislation every year. One that calls for
a one percent across the board spending cut, which is
what is referred to many times as the Penny Plan,
another a two percent, and the third one is a
five percent across the board spending cut. Now, if you

(24:33):
did that over a period of ten years, you would
get that budget close to balancing. And that's what Americans
want to see, is a balance budget. We have it
in our state, Companies that do it, families that do it,
and people want to see this spending brought under control.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Let's talk crime for a moment.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
It used to be that it was a border state
issue with illegal immigrant violent crime. The headlines I read
them earlier on the show just show you how bad
it is. And this is in the last you know,
several days you had an illegal immigrant that was arrested
in New York for the rape of a five year
old child. You have a Hunduran illegal immigrant and an
MS thirteen gang member on the run after shooting at

(25:21):
a Maryland hotel that left another team dead. This is
and I go far away to prove you know, New
York is not by the border. Maryland's not by the border.
We have real problems in Tennessee as well with illegal
immigrants that are committing crimes. What will change there as
well if we actually get a Republican majority and Donald

(25:41):
Trump elected.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
But you'll see as attention to actually securing that border.
Kamala Harris's border policy has been an open border, and
she would continue that. You know, they have done everything
they could possibly do to make illegal immigration legal, and
they have turned every state into a border state, every

(26:05):
town into a border town, and been like you're saying,
you see these crimes that are committed far from the border,
and it is the loss of life to fentanyl and drugs.
It is angel families that have lost loved ones to
acts of violence and crime committed by people that have

(26:27):
illegally entered the country. And my bill, the Clear Act,
is the spot to begin because it would allow local
law enforcement to detain these criminal illegaliens and require ICE
to come and deport them. So that is the place

(26:48):
to start, and that is what people want to see.
The border and crime in our communities. These are top issues.
These gangs that are working in our town and cities
and recruiting kids to go out and carry out carjackings
and smash and grabs. People want to stop. They want

(27:09):
these individuals to be prosecuted. They want these criminal illegal
aliens removed from our communities.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Well, finally, let's talk about how the media has been
covering this election. I love that NBC News finally got busted.
They had Kama Harris on Saturday Night Live. The SEC
it was an issue with equal time. They were forced
to give Donald Trump campaign time with an ad during
NASCAR and then during Sunday Night Football. It is shocking

(27:39):
to see how now they're claiming that Donald Trump said
that Liz Cheney should be executed in front of a
firing squad.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
It's not what he said.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I played the clip earlier, clearly not even close to
what he said. We saw water Wall coverage all weekend
on that. The closing argument for them is not the economy,
it's not national security, it's not ending the war in Ukraine,
and in the war that we're seeing with in Israel
with the terrorists that they're backing and Iran. What we're
seeing right now is they're still just going back to

(28:08):
the basic talking point that Orange Man is bad and
that he's a dictator and a tyrant. He wants to
kill his political opponents. Meanwhile, he's the guy the two
assassins have tried to take out in the last several months,
which the media has seemed to completely forget about.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
And you're so right about that. They have nothing that
is worked. The campaign of joy evaporated before their very eyes.
People didn't buy it. So then it was going to
be let's give you twenty five thousand dollars to buy
a house, fifty thousand dollars if you'll start a small business.
That evaporated on them. They had no plan for the border.

(28:46):
There is no plan for how to deal with the
Middle East, or to deal with China or Russia. And
if people are saying, what is your plan, there isn't one.
So their plan is is what's a double down on smellie,
Walmart shoppers, deplorables, irredeemables, Nazi racists and fascists, and.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Crash, don't forget trash.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
It's terrible. I know, we're garbage. We're just absolute garbage.
So that is their closing argument, and this is all
that they can go to because they have nothing to
offer the American people.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Final question for you.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
If somebody's listening right now and they're sitting on the
fence and they're like, does my vote really matter? Show
I spend the time to vote, what would you say
to them.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
Oh, number one, get to the poll and vote. It
does matter. You want President Donald Trump to win the
popular vote as well as the electoral College. And you
also want our Republican Statehouse and State Senate candidates to
window seats by comfortable majorities. Want to go back to
the US Senate. I ask for the vote of each

(30:03):
of your listeners, and we want to have a good
margin in my race.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Senator, always a pleasure, good luck on election day. I
have a feeling we're going to have you back right
after election day and celebrate a little bit, so good luck.
I know you're on the campaign trail and we look
forward to talking to you real soon. Make sure you
share this podcast for election Day. Please hit that share
button and let people hear the closing argument of why

(30:30):
it's so important to go out and vote.
