Speaker 1 (00:00):
How many of you are worried about biological men and
boys competing against women and girls in sports. That's almost
the entire that is the entire route.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's so crazy.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
How do you stop it?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
If you just ban it, President bans it, you just
don't let it happen.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Good Wednesday morning, Ben Ferguson with you, and here are
the big stories that we're covering this morning on the
forty seven Morning Update. First up, Donald Trump shocks the
world by announcing at the White House that the US
will take over Gaza quote, we will own it and
make it the riviera of the Mid East. I have
the details on this for you in just a moment.
(00:43):
Also one of the reasons why I love doing this show,
we get to give you news that's going to happen.
And I've been told that Donald Trump is going to
sign an executive order banning trans athletes from women's sports.
One of his promises to protect women in sports on
the campaign trail is going to becoming a reality quite
(01:03):
possibly today. And finally, Zelenski, now, is I guess becoming
a whistleblower now? Claiming that less than half the money
that the US has sent has ever actually showed up.
It's a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Story number one.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
It may go down in history is the biggest announcement
that Donald Trump has ever made, that the US will
take over Gaza and we will own it, becoming the
riviera of the Mid East. The world's people, the President declaring,
will live there. Now. To be clear, this wasn't an
off the cuff remark. These remarks made by President Trump
were made in prepared remarks that he was reading from
(01:44):
this meaning it was very obvious this was a well
thought out plan kept secret by the Trump administration without
a single person leaking it to the press. The President
making it clear to the world that America still has
a role to play in the Middle East. Take a listen.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
The only reason the Palestinians want to go back to
Gaza is they have no alternative. It's right now a
demolition site. This is just a demolition site. Virtually every
building is down. They're living under fallen concrete. That's very
dangerous and very precarious. They instead can occupy all of
a beautiful area with homes and safety and they can
(02:22):
live out their lives in peace and harmony instead of
having to go back and do it again. The US
will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do
a job with it too. We'll own it and be
responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and
other weapons on the site. Level the site and get
rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out, create an
(02:43):
economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and
housing for the people of the area. Do a real
job to something different. Just can't go back. If you
go back, it's going to end up the same way
it has for a hundred years.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
That is what the present said, as net who was
staring on Now the big question is Netnah Who's response
to this? Was this something he was prepared for. Well,
BB made it clear that he said this could quote
change history. Now, let me give you more details on
exactly what this means. Donald Trump saying the US will
(03:17):
take over the Gaza Strip and we will do this job.
You're going to love it. He says, We're going to
be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous bombs and
other weapons on the site. We're going to get rid
of the destroyed buildings and create an economic development that
will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing. Now this
surprise announcement came as the President spoke with Netan Yahoo,
(03:39):
the first foreign leader to visit Trump since his inauguration
last month. Now, Trump had previously said that he would
also like to see most or all of the Palestinian
population of Gaza moved to another Arab or Muslim country.
The idea of actually taking over Gaza and establishing a
US presence well was both unexpected and completely new. Trump
(04:00):
added that the US would develop Gaza economically, sending troops
also if necessary, and making major investments. He called the
potential of Gaza quote unquote unbelievable, but said that Palestinian
control of Gaza will never work. He added, you have
to learn from history. We have an opportunity to do
something phenomenal the riviera of the Middle East. He said
(04:22):
that he envisioned the world's people living there, adding I
think you'll make Gaza into an international, unbelievable place. I
think the potential in the Gaza strip is unbelievable, and
I think the entire world, representatives from all over the
world will be there. A reporter also attacked Donald Trump, saying, well,
what right does the US have to take over Gaza,
calling it, by the way, inaccurately sovereign territory. Just to
(04:45):
put in perspective, there is no Palestinian state right now
and no sovereign power in the territory. But hey, let's
not get facts get in the way of a good
angry press briefing reporter right Well, Trump did not reply directly,
but said that a mayor control of Gaza would increase
stability in the region as the various nations pursue piece together.
(05:07):
Netan Yahoo, who had never publicly advocated for anything like
what Trump proposed at the White House, said the idea
was quote unquote something that could change history and that
it was worth considering now.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Story number two.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Back during the presidential campaign trail, Donald Trump sat down
with Harris Faulkner for a town hall. A very important
issue was the issue of well, how to deal with
men acting like women taking over women's sports, And the
President pledged that he was going to make it a
real issue if you gave him his vote. Now, let
(05:41):
me remind you what Harris Faulkner said and what the
president said at the time. This was back in October
October the sixteenth, to be exact, right in the heat
of the presidential election cycle.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
How many of you are worried about biological men and
boys competing against women and girls in sports. To show me,
that's almost the entire That is the entire room. And
I know you have a question that you do.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
By the way, excuse me, it's so crazy.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Your question, your name and your hometown.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
My name is Linda and I'm from Milton, Georgia. My
question is, how do you plan on addressing the transgender
issue in women's sports. It's such an easy question, and
everybody in the room and you know that answer. We're
not going to let it happen. You look, just yesterday
they had a volleyball metch Did you see that where
a person that transitioned. Okay, we have to be very
careful because this can terminate your political career if you
(06:30):
say it's slightly offer right, but transitioned from man to female.
It was on a volleyball, and I saw the slam.
It was a slam. I never saw a ball hit
so hard hit the girl on the head. But other people,
even a volleyball they've been permanently. I mean they've been
really hurt badly. Women playing men. But you don't have
to do the volleyball. We stop it. We stop it,
(06:51):
We absolutely stop it. You can't have it. It's a
man playing in the game, I mean physically from a
muscular say, even if it was a little bit less,
maybe they do well sor it's a pest and drugs
and everything else. Look at what's happened in swimming. Look
at the records.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
How do you stop it? Do you go to the
sports leagues? Do you go to the Olympics? You just
ban it?
Speaker 2 (07:10):
The president bans it. You just don't let it happen.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
The audience goes wild. Now the question is could the
present pay off on this. I'm now being told from
those around the president that Donald Trump plans as early
as today to sign an executive order banning trans athletes
from women's sports. Just like he said in that interview,
President Trump is set to sign this executive order that
(07:37):
would ban transgender athletes from playing in girls and women's
sports and schools that accept federal funding. Now, the presidents
expect to sign the order as early as I mentioned today,
to coincide with National Girl and Women in Sports Day. Now,
let me break down for you what this could actually accomplish.
To be clear, President does not have the authority to
(07:59):
place an outright nationwide ban on transgendered athletes playing as females. However,
the executive Order and the Executive Branch does control federal
funding as it pertains a Title nine So it's likely
that this order will direct Title nine rules to be rewritten,
and they would be rewritten to exclude trans athletes from
(08:21):
playing as females or risk a cutoff of the federal
funds that clearly are controlled by the US government. Now,
in a signal, the NCAA president Charlie Baker already signaled
that if Title nine rules are changed, his college sports
organization would quote quickly move to adhere to the letter
(08:41):
of such changes, saying, quote we're a national governing body
and we follow federal law, Baker said before Congress in December.
He also urged lawmakers at the time to provide quote
clarity on the issue. This is exactly why Donald Trump
is probably going to write it this way, making it
that he was going to address the issue of transgendent
(09:02):
athletes if he were to win the White House and
now paying off on it. But most importantly what this
will do is this will protect young women and there
is a mandate. Polls show that Trump has strong support
among voters. In fact, a recent poll found that sixty
percent oppose the extreme left wing Democratic transgender agenda, and
(09:24):
another poll found that seventy five percent of parents oppose
the harmful transagenda in schools. This is exactly why so
many mothers voted for Donald Trump.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
And lastly's story number three.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
If you've ever studied Ukraine, you know that the country
is insanely corrupt. The leadership's corrupt, the oligarchs are corrupt,
and when you send money to Ukraine it disappears very quickly.
It's also saying something that even people in Russia say, Yeah,
we know our country is corrupt, but you've seen nothing
until you've seen Ukraine. Well, just how bad is it?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Well?
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Zelensky is now claiming the Ukraine received quote less than
half of usaid and they don't know where all the
money went. Yes, Ukrainian President Zelensky has said that his
country has only received around seventy eight billion in aid
from the United States, despite America authorizing around a one
hundred and seventy five billion to quote support the war
(10:23):
torn country, meaning one hundred billion dollars is missing now.
In an interview with the Associated Press published Zolensky said
he doesn't know where most of the money the United
States allocated under the Biden administration the Ukraine has gone.
When I hear both in the past and even now
from the US that America has provided Ukraine with hundreds
(10:44):
of billions, as the president of a nation at war,
I can tell you we've received no more than seventy
five billion, he said. We're talking about tangible things because
this aid didn't come as cash, but rather as weapons,
which amount to a seventy billion dollars. But when it's
said that Ukraine received two hundred billion to support the
(11:05):
army during the war, that's not true. I don't know
where all that money went, Zelenski admitted. So they got
the money, but now it's missing. Perhaps it's true on paper,
He went on to say, with hundreds of different programs,
I won't argue, and we're immensely grateful for everything, but
in reality, we received about seventy six billion. It's significant aid,
(11:30):
but it's not two one hundred billion. The Ukrainian leader
suggested that perhaps the additional funds went to humanitarian programs,
which he said he was uninformed about except for knowing
of their existence. Now, the question that you're obviously asking
yourself right now is, Okay, did the money even leave America?
And if it did leave America, who has it now? Well,
(11:52):
there have been long noted concerns in Washington over sending
billions of dollars to Ukraine given its corruption issues. In
twenty twenty three, Transparency International ranked Ukraine as the second
most corrupt European nation, only behind Russia, with a score
of thirty three out of one hundred. In fact, the
(12:14):
Oversight Committee in the US House of Representatives found that
Ukrainian government officials allegedly engaged in bribery, used government vehicles
for personal use, and purchase inflated food supplies for Ukrainian forces,
padding their own pockets. Now, despite previously downplaying the widespread
(12:34):
corruption in the former Soviet state, The New York Times
even reported in twenty twenty three that unnamed Ukrainian officials
admitted US taxpayer money intended for military contracts had quote
failed to produce weaponry or ammunition, and that some money
has well just vanished. Moral of the story, it's probably
(12:55):
time for Elon Musk and his team to take a
look at Ukraine.
