Speaker 1 (00:01):
Call it the Trump effect, because migrant encounters at the
southern border have now hit the lowest ever mark, down
ninety four percent from last February. Now, I'm going to
explain that to you in a minute and why this
is so important. But this also comes as there's another
big headline. The FBI director Cash Pttel has announced apprehensions
(00:24):
of eight Mexicans wanted for murder and drug trafficking.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
The Federal Bureau.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Of Investigations director announcing that the agency took into the
United States cust the eight men from Mexico that had
actually been wanted by the FBI for murder and drug
trafficking charges. Two were former FBI ten most wanted fugitives.
The question you should be asking yourself right now is this,
(00:50):
why is it that Patel and Donald Trump can get
these guys but they were never handed over when Joe
Biden was President of the United States of America. I
can tell you exactly why, because they weren't asking for
them and they didn't really care.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Quote.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
The FBI and our partners will scour the ends of
the earth to bring terrorists and cartel members to justice,
Patel said in a statement. The era of harming Americans
and walking free is over. This is again significant because
the eight men included a former FBI ten Most Wanted fugitive,
(01:30):
wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder
of Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Salazar back in nineteen
eighty five. That's how long this guy has been wanted
and what did it take. It took Donald Trump getting
back into office for them to force Mexico's hand, the
(01:51):
FBI said this. Caro Quintero is widely regarded as one
of the Mexican godfathers of drug trafficking and helped to
form the Guadalajara Cartel in the late nineteen seventies. Allegedly,
he became one of the primary suppliers of heroin, cocaine,
and marijuana to the US and oversaw the cartel in
(02:14):
Costa Rica and at the US and Mexico border. The
case was investigated by the FBI San Antonio Field Office,
and Quintero will face charges now in the Eastern District
of New York. Also apprehended was alder Marian Sotello, a
man who faces charges for being a cop killer related
(02:36):
to the August eleven, twenty twenty two killing of law
enforcement officer a manned by the name of Deputy Ned
Bird of the Wake County, North Carolina Sheriff's Office. Mauran
Sotello was indicted on a charge of first degree murder
on August of twenty third of twenty twenty two. The
case was investigated by the FBI Charlotte Field Office, and
(02:59):
Sotelo will face federal weapons charges in the Middle District
of North Carolina and state murder charges in North Carolina
State Court. Then we moved to Jose Ridolfo Hernandez, also
known as El Gato. He is another former FBI Top
ten most Wanted fugitive. He has now been apprehended. He
(03:22):
is allegedly responsible for stalking and orchestraing the murder for
hire of a forty three year old male victim on
May the twenty second of twenty thirteen in South Lake, Texas.
According to the FBI, the individual previously held a high
level position in the BLO drug cartel and is believed
(03:44):
to have overseen the importation of large quantities of cocaine
into the US, as well as committing violent acts within
the Republic of Mexico and the United States of America.
Why was he doing this clearly to maintain his organization's
we're in status. He was arrested on January the seventh
of twenty twenty three in Mexico. Now, this case was
(04:07):
investigated by the FBI Dallas Field Office. Hernandez will face
charges in the Northern District of Texas for interstate stalking
and conspiracy to commit murder for hire. Then there's Jose
Angel Innunza, also known as s Guerto. He was a
key leader and the finance manager of the Cinelona cartel.
(04:29):
This according to the FBI. Now, he allegedly traffic narcotics,
controlled an arms enforcement group, and managed corrupt relationships on
the cartel's behalf. The FBI stated he was arrested last
week in Sineloa by the Mexican Army. The question you
should be asking yourself is why was he able to
(04:49):
walk around free for so long? And is it because
there was a man in the White House who was
clearly compromised by the name of Joe Biden. Now, this
case I just mentioned was investigated by the FBI Washington
and San Diego field offices. He will now face narco
trafficking charges out of the Northern District of Illinois.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Ridolfo Lopez is also.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Facing drug trafficking charges with up to life imprisonment out
of the District of Columbia. According the FBI, the case
was investigated by the FBI Washington Field Office.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
And then there's Andrew Clark.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
By the way, if you think that nothing bad happens
at the northern border, pay attention. Andrew Clark is a
Canadian citizen who understood the border there. He also resided
in Mexico and allegedly ran and participated in a trans
national drug trafficking operation that routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms
(05:45):
of cocaine from Colombia, then through Mexico, then through southern California,
then to Canada and other locations in the United States
through Canada.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
The FBI says the.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Case was investigate get it by the FBI Los Angeles Office,
and Clark is being prosecuted for four different murders and
one attempted murder and will face charges in the Central
District of California.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Then there's Luiz Gerardo Menendez.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
He's facing several federal charges, including murder, racketeering, and drug
conspiracy in the Western District of Texas. According to the FBI,
Mendes was a high ranking lieutenant and was responsible for
the March thirteenth, twenty ten murder of not one, but
two US consulate employees in Warez, Mexico, and an Alpaso
(06:40):
County Sheriff's Office attention officer. According to the agency, the
case was investigated by the FBIOL Passo Field Office. Mendes
was indicted in the Western District of Texas. Fuentes, by
the way, the former leader of the Warez cartel, is
facing narcotics to trafficking charges.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
In the Eastern District of New York.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
He's responsible for the trafficking of narcotics in the US
and also assisted in perpetrating significant violence throughout Mexico, El Paso, Texas,
and other areas in the US. The FBI says, you
look at all of this, what changed one simple thing.
Casptel became the FBI director and all of a sudden,
(07:24):
holding people accountable who have killed American men and women
in uniform are police officers and innocent civilians while they're
now on his list. The FBI is once again putting
America's safety first and ensuring that no criminal enterprise no
matter how powerful, can operate without consequences. The FBI said
(07:45):
in their statement, Let's make this clear. Justice will be
served and the error of lawlessness is over. So let's
go back to what I was saying a moment ago
about the Trump effect. It's very clear that the FBI
leadership has changed now going after the worst cartel members
and they have again been declared as terrorist organizations. So
(08:07):
what is happening in general at the southern border, Well,
it's very exciting news. There is a new post by
the Chief of the US Border Patrol, Michael Banks, and
he showed February apprehensions to be a record low for
the agency. Banks posts revealed the startling impact of the
Trump presidency on illegal migration to the United States in
(08:29):
the forty two days since he assumed office, saying this quote,
February proved our combined efforts and securing the border worked.
That is what Chief Banks posted on x saying United
States Border Patrol apprehensions at eight three hundred and twenty
six illegal aliens at the US Mexico border, making it
(08:51):
the lowest month in record history. That just over eighty
three hundred migrants arrested by border patrol who illegally crossed
the Mexican border into the United States fell by ninety
four percent to the one hundred and forty thousand plus
encountered just one year ago. During the same time period
of February, perhaps more shocking, the numbers dropped by eighty
(09:16):
two percent from December President Joe.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Biden's last full month in office.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
As a transition of power took place in January, the
encounter numbers began to plummet, falling to just over twenty
nine thousand. In fact, the numbers were witnessing now were
the same type of numbers that we were seeing in
one single day at our southern border during Joe Biden's presidency.
(09:41):
During some months now look large scale immigration raids across
the United States of America have had a huge impact
because people are calling home and telling their family and
friends do not come. A consistent messaging from the entire
Trump administration has resulted in the reduction of legal border
crossings for the same reason people in America are saying,
(10:03):
it's not what it was several months ago. You do
not want to risk coming here and immediately getting sent
back home. They're also talking about the raids that are happening,
and this forced the closure of multiple non government migrant
shelters that also once received hundreds of millions of federal
tax dollars from FEMA to move release migrants further in
(10:26):
the United States to await asylum. Hearings that money is
drying up, the hotels are drawing up, and the aid
is drying up, so it's much harder to survive in
America as an illegal immigrant now.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
It was also reported in late January.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Just days after President Trump's inauguration, the two shelters closed
in Pima County, Arizona, and then in February, a private,
non government migration center also closed in San Antonio, Texas.
It was just a few miles to the San Antonio
International Airport. The Migrant Resource Center, known as an MRC,
have been under a partnership with the city of San
(11:04):
Antonio and also Catholic charities. They were getting rich off
this ever since they opened it in twenty twenty two.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Among other measures that occurred during February, the Trump administration
conducted the first military flight transporting migrants to Guantanamo Bay
detention camp, clearly telling illegal immigrants they may end up
in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is not sitting well with people
that are thinking about coming into the US.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
In other words, it's a massive deterrent.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Now the camp in Cuba's currently undergoing modifications that will
allow for up to thirty thousand illegal immigrants to be
held the facility located within the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay.
Information provided by the Border Patrol revealing a new trend
of reverse migration is contributing also the lower number of crossings.
(11:57):
Disappointed migrants are turning away for the United States our
commit journey to return home, and we're also starting to
see a trend of illegal immigrants in the United States
that are also willing to you guessed it, return back
to their home country.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Now.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
The new trend is also being seen in Panama, where
migrants are now paying boat smugglers to ferry them by
water to avoid the Darren Gap jungle on their return
home to Colombia and Venezuela. This was a very interesting
report that came out and bright Bart Texas talked about
an eight year old child that perished last week after
(12:35):
a smuggler's vessel carrying mostly Venezuelan migrants south from Panama
to Colombia capsized in rough waters. Bright bart Texas also
reported on Saturday, the President Donald Trump doubled down on
his border message of strength through enforcement by deploying yet
another three thousand active.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Duty military units.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Let me say that again, three thousand more active duty
military units, including an.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Armored striker brigade.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
On February the twenty first, the Texas Department of Public
Safety also report the daily migrant apprehensions rate along the
southwest border fell below two hundred for the first time,
when agents encountered one hundred and ninety nine migrants, and
by February the twenty second, that number fell to one hundred.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
And eighty five.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
It was also reported that border encounters in February averaged
about three hundred and twenty eight per day. That, by
the way, is a number that would be per hour
under some days during the Biden administration. Now, if that
number held through the end of the month, migrant encounters
for February could have been as low as nine thy
two hundred. The actual number reported by Chief Banks succeeded
(13:48):
the prediction with the arrest of eight thousand, three hundred
and twenty six migrants. Now, to put it in perspective,
This represents a record low in CBP HE reports dating
back to the last full year of the Clinton administration
in two thousand. The previous low occurred during President Trump's
(14:08):
third full month of his first time in office in
April of seventeen, when agents encountered eleven twenty seven migrants.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
So, when the.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Biden Harris administration and the Democrats said they were quote
doing everything they could to secure the southern border, and
they said that the border is secure, they said it
over and over again, the border is secure. They were
lying to you, and they were lying to Congress. The
White House Press secretary said it, Joe Biden said it.
(14:41):
The man who was in charge of the Department of
Homeland Security, majorcas said it. And every time they said it,
they knew they were lying to you. They knew they
were absolutely full of it. Now, what we have learned,
and it's pretty clear, is that the President United States
of America wasn't Joe when he said that he was
(15:02):
going to fix the problem, and he wasn't joking when
he said he was going to use active duty military
to get the job done. We now see that more
active duty military are going to the southern border than
any other time in my lifetime. That is significant. And
the second thing that people need to be celebrating right
(15:24):
now is the fact that not only is the President
of the United States of America standing by his word,
but he seems to be ratcheting up on going after
hardcore illegal immigrants and cartel members, whether they're outside the
country or inside the country. Now you may ask yourself
this question, why were these people arrested in Mexico. It's
(15:48):
one reason, power and strength from a president that said
to Mexico, you're not going to get away with what.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
You were doing under Joe Biden.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Mexico now how clearly understands that they're going to have
to start helping Donald Trump secure the southern border, and
that includes handing over people to our government that killed
our men and women.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
In uniform and American citizens.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
All right, I want to get real quick to some
breaking news for many of you. In a major move,
President Trump has halted We've now being told all weapons
sales to Ukraine. We also are being told that Donald
Trump is considering freezing weapons shipments from the US stockpiles.
This coming from a Wall Street Journal exclusive. Let me
(16:38):
give you some more of the background. The Trump administration,
they have confirmed, has halted new weapon sales to Ukraine,
and they are contemplating freezing all shipments from US stockpiles,
actions that could significantly impair Ukraine's defense against Russian forces.
(16:58):
This decision follows contentious Oval Office meeting between Trump and Zelenski,
during which Trump criticized Olenski's assertion that the wars end
might be distant and suggests that the US military aid
could be suspended if Ukraine does not actively pursue peace
negotiations with the US now. The suspension includes halting new
(17:21):
deals through the US foreign military financing system, which is
vital for maintaining Ukraine's military capabilities. Analysts are warning that
without US support, Ukraine's ability to resist Russian aggression could
be severely compromised. European allies and Ukraine's defense industry may
(17:44):
partially be able to compensate, we're also hearing at this hour,
but the loss of advanced US weaponry presents a significant challenge.
European leaders have expressed concern over this shift in US
foreign policy. The French president has proposed a temporary truce
to facilitate the negotiations with Europe showing willingness to support
(18:07):
peacekeeping efforts, although Trump remains resistance to any US government involvement.
European officials are advocating for a truce and calling for
US European unity, while Trump has signaled that Zelensky must
agree to a cease fire on US terms or face
potential consequences. Now, the Trump administration and these recent actions
(18:31):
indicate a significant shift in the US foreign policy regarding
the Russia Ukraine conflict, especially after the way that Zolensky
acted in the Oval office, making it very clear he
is profiting off war and has no intentions of stopping
this war or negotiating.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
For peace now.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
This move also puts Zelensky in an awkward situation with
the Ukrainian citizens. There has not been election there since
the war broke out. Many believe that he is a dictator,
a de facto leader of the country, because no one
really knows who supports him. And if you're a citizen
in Ukraine and you see that the number one thing
(19:14):
that is keeping you somewhat safe, which is US military armory,
and you're going to lose that, then the people in
Ukraine may turn against Zolensky.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
One of the most shocking.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Things that Zelensky has also said is that quote, the
US will have to send their sons and daughters, and
they will have to fight, and they will be dying.
This explains much of Zelensky's ridiculous conduct. He thinks he
has leverage over the United States taxpayer and over Donald
Trump due to our treaty commitments.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
He is obviously very wrong.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Based on the actions of Donald Trump in the last
forty eight hours, we also know that Zelensky has shut
down calls for the immediate cease fire in the war
with Russia. He is being defiant today as Ukraine shot
down as a nation the prospect of even agreeing to
a ceasefire with Russia, despite his country being on the
(20:14):
back foot after three years of war with a much
larger adversary, apparently bolstered by fawning displays of support from
European leaders in London. On Sunday, Zelensky express intend to
quote continue the war until he is satisfied with these
security guarantees on offer from Western Powers, saying quote, if
(20:36):
you don't have an end to the war and you
don't have security guarantees, no one is able to control
a ceasefires, Zolensky said to The Financial Times. The Ukrainian
leader argued that Russia's history of launching invasions after agreeing
to previous ceasefires has convinced him that a meaningful deterrent
(20:57):
would need to be in place before Kiev stands down
its forces. To be clear, that is not what Donald
Trump actually asked him to do. No one in the
US government asked him to stand down his forces, So
he's clearly changing the narrative, trying to imply that we
said stop fighting and protecting yourself.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Quote.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
For US security guarantees are confidence that the same things
won't happen after this hot stage is over.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Now.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
President Trump has argued that previous agreements were broken under
weak presidents like Joe Biden Barack Obama, and then a
ceasefire would merely be the first step towards a broader,
concrete deal between the two nations. Zelensky said that he
was made aware of plans floated by President Macrone for
(21:46):
a month long truce of fighting in the air see
and attacks on energy infrastructure, but reportedly refused to comment
whether he would be amendable to this proposal now. During
the summit in London on Sunday, the British Prime Minister
Starmer and President Macrone said that they would seek to
forge a quote framework peace agreement with Zelenski and present
(22:10):
it to Washington after the talks broke down between Trump
and the Ukrainian leader in the Oval Office on Friday.
While the London summit brought over a dozen leaders together
to discuss Europe's role, they concluded yet again with no
other nation signing unto plans from the British and French
(22:30):
for a pan European peacekeeping force, another failure by Europe,
and while the Prime Minister Starmer said that he.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Was willing to commit British troops and.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Planes on the ground in Ukraine, he said that such
a force would need the backing of the United States.
In other words, we're not getting into this war without
America being involved, and there's no indication that Washington or
the President or the Pentagon is wanting to actually send
US troops to Ukraine. In fact, most Americans now say
(23:03):
they do not support this war and they want a
peace deal as soon as possible. They also do not
want their tax dollars going there either. Now, despite having
left Washington early over the weekend without having signed the
simple Mineral Investment agreement for which he traveled to the
United States of America for. Zelensky said that his government
(23:24):
was prepared to sign the deal and said we can
get it done. It is unclear if the offer, by
the way, from the Trump White House still stands after
what happened on Friday. We also know that the US
Treasury Secretary told CBS on Sunday that the deal was
intended as a stepping stone towards a peace agreement and
(23:46):
that it would be pointless to sign if Selensky wants
the fighting to continue, as President Trump said he wants
a peace deal now.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
It also remains to be seen how.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Stable Zelensky's position in Kiev will be on his return
after the disastrous meeting with President Trump, which resulted in
heavy criticism both at home and abroad for his oval
office antics. Multiple European leaders and politicians urged Zelensky to
mend tize with the US president as soon as possible,
(24:17):
but he has maintained that he will not apologize to
President Trump no matter what now. Zelensky has been blasted
by Ukrainian lawmakers for the first time publicly for arguing
with President Trump, because even they understand just how important
the relationship is.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
A prominent Ukrainian lawmaker declared.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
It was absolute idiocy for President Zelensky to openly argue
with the US President Trump in front of the world
during their Oval Office meeting on Friday. The Member of
the Parliament in Kiev lamented that Ukrainian's relationship with President
Trump came to an end on Friday after a heated
White House meeting, and he accused Zolensky of not understanding
(25:01):
what leadership actually looks like. He went on to write
on Facebook, absolute idiocy to start arguing all caps with
the President of the United States in front of the cameras,
adding that it can be done and probably should be done,
but not in front of the cameras.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
The Ukrainian MP, who sits with the European.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Solidarity Block of the former Ukrainian President Pershenko in Parliament,
went on to warn that Zelensky's behavior on Friday could
have very bad consequences for Ukraine.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
He said that.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Such consequences could include a potential shutdown of elon musk
Starlink internet access to the Ukrainian armed forces, to even
an end of Washington sharing intelligence with Keith, both of
which have been critical for Ukraine and its war with Russia,
and the Ukrainian lawmaker added quote, Zelensky has put millions
(25:56):
of people at risk and its madness. He also appeared
to agree with President Trump's conclusion that Zelensky was not prepared
for peace, writing quote, this time, it's not only Putin's choice.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
He wants a war. It's totally obvious.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
But on February the twenty eighth, this choice, the choice
of war, was also made by the Ukrainian leader Zolenski.
It's his common choice with Putin. This is the first
time we've seen major leaders in Ukraine standing up to Zelenski.
The question now will be what will happen in the
days and weeks ahead as the man who says he's
(26:33):
in charge of Ukraine returns. Don't forget Share this podcast
