Speaker 1 (00:01):
My fellow Americans, get ready for an incredible future, because
the Golden Age of America has only just begun. It
will be like nothing that has ever been seen before.
Thank you, God bless you, and God bless you.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Good Saturday morning to you, Ben Ferguson with you, and
there's just one story we're talking about. On today's Morning Update,
the President of the United States of America delivered one
of the most effective and powerful addresses I would argue
in my lifetime. The President wove his early accomplishments into
his agenda and his vision for the future. And for years,
(00:43):
failed politicians have said they needed legislation to secure the border,
especially on the Democratic side. Well, President Trump showed it
was not a matter of legislation, but a matter of will,
and the American people are clearly in favor of the
lowest border cross numbers that have ever been recorded in history.
In February, the President also focused on the issues that
(01:06):
united the country around his campaign and the issues that
will continue, as he put it, to bring the country together,
such as lowering taxes, keeping men out of girls' sports,
restoring American manufacturing, fighting crime in our cities, and restoring
national security. President Trump put a face to the policies
in an emotional and personal way, which is where the
(01:29):
biggest shock of the night came. As Democrats put their
face of anger and radical policies and positions that they
want to divide the country on display. Instead of standing
for things that you would assume everyone could be in
favor of, the Democrats refused to show support for lowering taxes,
(01:50):
fighting child cancer, capturing terrorists, protecting girl athletes, law and order,
and law enforcement officers. And that's just some of the
high whites. So what did the President say? And maybe
you didn't get to see the entire speech, we decide
to put together a montage of the biggest moments of
(02:12):
the night. Here's the President of the United States of America,
Donald J. Trump, in his own words.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I returned to this chamber tonight to report that America's
momentum is back, our spirit is back, our pride is back,
our confidence is back, and the American dream is surging
bigger and better than ever before. How we have ended
weaponized government, where as an example, a sitting president is
(02:38):
allowed to viciously prosecute his political opponent like me. How
did that work out?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Not to?
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Not to? Within hours of taking the oath of office,
I declared a national emergency on our southern border, and
I deployed the US military and border patrol through the
invasion of our country. And what a job they've done.
As a result, illegal border crossings last month were by
(03:10):
far the lowest ever recorded ever. To unshackle our economy,
I have directed that for every one new regulation, ten
old regulations must be eliminated, just like I did in
my very successful first day, and I have stopped all
(03:33):
government censorship and brought back free speech.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
In America's back.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
We've ended the tyranny of so called diversity, equity, and
inclusion policies all across the entire federal government, and indeed
the private sector and our military and our country will
be worked no longer. I also signed an executive order
(04:06):
to ban men from playing in women's sports, and in
the near future, I want to do what has not
been done in twenty four years balance the federal budget.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
We're going to balance it.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
One point three million people from ages one hundred and
fifty to one hundred and fifty nine and over one
hundred and thirty thousand people according to the Social Security databases,
our age over one hundred and sixty years old. We
(04:44):
have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby, including to
finish one thousand and thirty nine people between the ages
of two hundred and twenty and two hundred and twenty
nine person between the age of two hundred and forty
and two hundred and forty nine, and one person is
(05:05):
listed at three hundred and sixty years of age, more
than one hundred years, more than one hundred years older
than our country. But we're going to find out where
that money's going, and it's not going to be pretty.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
So as the president has America behind him on stopping waste, fraud,
and abuse, which you heard him talking about right there,
Democrats were sitting on their hands. They were angry. So
let's go through the major list of all the things
the Democrats refused to clap for. It, refused to stand for.
Many of them were actually not political things, but since
the President was talking about it, they decided to say
(05:45):
no to it. No matter what tax cuts. They are
not in favor of that and refuse to clap. The
border being closed, something they claimed they were in favor
of and said that they were willing to pass the
legislation to quote get done. They wouldn't clap for that either.
Even foster children finding hope and success was something that
(06:07):
apparently Democrats are not in favor of. And then there
was the personal stories of children being murdered by illegal
immigrants and the parents being in the audience. They wouldn't
even clap for the family members. Police officers dying in
the line of duty being honored and their family something
they would not stand to honor. Supporting workers including US
(06:30):
steel workers with something apparently they couldn't clap for. And
even a child with brain cancer becoming an honorary Secret
Service member was too much for the Democratic Party to say,
we can stand with J. D. Daniels. The President had
no problem honoring him with a special surprise, and this
(06:54):
is what he said.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
DJ Daniel is thirteen years old and he has always
dreamed of becoming a police officer. In twenty eighteen, DJ
was diagnosed with brain cancer. The doctors gave him five
months at most to live. That was more than six
years ago. And tonight, DJ, We're going to do you
the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our
(07:17):
new Secret Service Director, Sean Kerran, to officially make you
an agent of the United States Secret Service.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
The clapping that you heard there was the Republicans, not
the Democrats. There was even also a surprise for a
teenager who had lost a family member, a father, getting
into West Point, something they couldn't clap for. Even the
men and women in uniform that traditionally do not clap
that are in attendance serving our armed forces knew that
(07:56):
was a moment where it was okay for them to
clap for that teen getting into West Point. Advancing our
military and defense structure was something Democrats couldn't support either.
And then, in a more shocking moment, as the President
announced the apprehension and extradition of an ISIS terrorist linked
to the twenty twenty one abbigate bombing in Afghanistan where
(08:19):
thirteen Americans lost their lives, the Democrats couldn't be bothered
to clap when he talked about catching that terrorist of.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
The country tonight, and please to announce that we have
just apprehended the top terrorists responsible for that atrocity and
he is right now on his way here to face
the swift Sword of American Justice.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Yes, Republicans were excited because the President broke news in
that moment. All the people in the chamber did not
know that that had just happened, and there was genuine
cheering for a moment knowing that that isis Terrace was
coming to America. That wasn't just on that issue. The
Democrats couldn't stand or clap. Bringing an American hostage home
(09:05):
from Russia because it was done under Donald Trump's time
in office was something they couldn't clap for. And even
the man who died because the Butler Rally assassination attempt,
when the President honored him, Democrats refused to honor that man.
So if you want to know where we are right
now with the forty seventh President of the United States
(09:27):
of America and his time in office, these are the
issues the Democrats refused to stand for now the Democratic Party,
they clearly are out of touch with the American people.
And one thing that's for sure is what Donald Trump
said at the State of the Union is an agenda
that is driven by the people, a mandate that the
(09:48):
people gave him to work on all of these issues.
And I have a feeling the present's approval ratings will
go up significantly because of what he said to America.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
