Speaker 1 (00:02):
Saving you money.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It is a promise that Donald Trump said he was
going to make good on when it came to government waste, fraud,
and abuse. We know what DOJE has been doing, but
we now have found out other ways that the President
is helping make Americans more money.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
And this is.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Coming from the EPA administrator, Leeves Zelden. He said in
an interview that he is quote shocked by how much
money we are able to save with quote the largest
deregulatory action ever slashing quote trillions of dollars in deregulation.
The Environmental Protection Agency chief. Zelden spoke during a roundtable
(00:40):
with Breitbart News editor in chief about what all is
happening and the agency's efforts to slash government waste, fraud,
and abuse. The EPA administrator, a former congressman, has now
moved to cancel over twenty two billion in contracts, is
part of President Donald Trump's initiative to eliminate diversity, equity
(01:02):
and Inclusion policies known as DEI. He also has said
that they are canceling environmental justice grants and canceling other
government spending that is basically just straight up waste and fraud.
Zelden emphasized the degree to which the administration has been
able to make significant savings by cutting Zelden said, the
(01:26):
agency's annual operating budget is ten billion dollars, while they
have been able to cut twenty two billion in grants alone. Yes,
twenty two billion in grants now, the leader of the
agency said, quote, one month ago, we announced that it
amounts to the largest deregulatory action the history of the
(01:48):
United States of America. One agency will do more deregulation
in twenty twenty five than entire federal government wide deregulatory
efforts ever of any administration. He went on to say,
we're going to have trillions of dollars of deregulation just
in the EPA, just in twenty twenty five. We're going
(02:12):
to do all this while creating jobs, including in the
auto sector. We're going to make it easier to buy
a home, make it easier to be able to heat
your home. This is the mandate. This is the term mandate.
This is what people voted for last November, and we're
going to follow through to get it done. He went
(02:34):
on to say, So, if you're asking what is the
future of these terms like environmental justice or climate change.
We're going back to the basics, to the core mission
at EPA. It is protecting human health and the environment,
and we are going to power the great American comeback now.
Zelden announced in mid March that he would move to
(02:56):
clear hundreds of backlog cases to clean up, saying that
the Biden administration focused on partisan ideological pursuits rather than
the agency's core mission, saying, we're going to go back
to those basics, and the core mission at the EPA
is protecting you the environment, and we're going to make
sure that we do that. Pillar Wani said is clean
(03:20):
air and water for all Americans, to unleash energy dominance.
He said, it's important that we make sure that the
American people understand that the government is on their side.
Zelden also made it clear that the total goal of
his job and his department is to make it easier
for Americans to succeed in business while also giving us
(03:42):
protection for the basics at the core of the EPA,
not a partisan political green ideology or green religion. And
this is exactly what the American people voted for when
they said we want Donald Trump back in the White House,
and they're getting it now. Zelden also is getting in
(04:03):
on the other major issue today, and that is political
violence that has been mainstreamed against conservatives. You may not
remember this, but Zelden was actually a victim of political
violence when he was running for office in New York.
He spoke with Laura Ingram about exactly how bad it's
gotten in this country because of the Democrats that are
(04:24):
advocating for this.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
And that's the angle joining me now, EPA Administrator Lee Zelden.
He's also been the target of political violence in recent years.
In twenty twenty two, during his own New York gubernatorial campaign,
a man with a sharp object climbed up on stage
while Zelden was speaking, and Lee quickly grabbed his arm
and others jumped in to subdue the man. Fortunately no
(04:48):
one was hurt.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
It's a close.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Call, and last November, a pipe bomb threat was sent
to his home with a pro Palestinian themed message, mister administrator,
it's good to see you tonight your reaction to the
ramp up of this violence, and we should say tonight
that we're learning that Congressoman Nancy Mace was threatened by
(05:12):
another man arrested for threatening the president Sean Monper of Butler,
Pennsylvania allegedly said he wanted to put a bullet in
her skull. Your reaction to all this tonight.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
This needs to be treated as the fringe. And there
are people who are in politics who have individuals across
the country who follow them, and these people in office
have been following those people instead of leading them. This
comes from the fringe. It needs to be treated from
the fringe, and it needs to be treated with your tolerance.
(05:46):
There's a lot of clickbait. You played the clip by
Taylor Lorenz and maybe she gets more following. People who
might be followers of this assassin might now start following
Taylor Lorenz. Feeds into it and it normalizes it. And
we shouldn't be trying to make assassinations great again in
(06:06):
this country. It should be something that's identified as a
ten crazy on the matrix. And whether it's coming from
the right or the left, if you're a leader in government,
if you're a leader at all, you should be leading
those people who follow you as opposed to being led
by them. And the last thing I would say on
this is there's an attempt right now to try to
figure out how to oppose President Trump and the right.
(06:29):
The people who are out of power right now, and
they're flailing. They can't figure out the right names to call,
the right tactics to use, and they're getting more and
more extreme. There's not a more important moment than right
now for these Democrats who are out of power to
be sending that message that this is from the fringe,
zero tolerance. It won't be normalized. And if you are
(06:50):
following me, that leader, you make it very clear that
this is not welcome in this society in this moment.
They need to find a tactic where we are debating
instead of promoting political violence.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Well, you listen to Zelden there, and he's absolutely right.
He said, we shouldn't be trying to make assassinations great
again in this country. This is fringe behavior and it
needs to be treated with zero tolerance. You look it
out radical the left has become. They're now actually getting
together to go and stand up for illegal immigrants that
(07:24):
are members of terrorist organizations. I wish I was joking,
Unfortunately I'm not. And when you hear the President of
the United States of America talking about how important it.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Is for us to go back to the basics.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
That is also something that Leads Elden is advocating for.
Here he is talking and saying it with a clear
voice as an individual that has been a victim of
political violence, and he's saying, where are the Democrats now?
Why are they not standing up? Why are they not
telling their followers that this is wrong? And I'm going
(07:58):
to answer the question because they don't believe that they're
crossing any line. These are the same democrats that called
Donald Trump Adolf Hitler. These are the same democrats that
advocate for Jewish students to be attacked on college campuses.
These are the same democrats that backed the cities that
(08:22):
were under the summer of rage with Black Lives Matter.
These are the same democrats that when you were burning
down police stations and killing innocent people, they were advocating
for those that were arrested to bail them out. And
we're telling you please give more. That is the Democratic
Party today And what Leaves Elden is saying there, and
(08:45):
it's unfortunate, but the media has mainstream this. The political
violence is normal. The political violence is something that we
should all be just standing here and saying, yeah, we
have no problem with you know, not getting your way
and deciding that we're going to do these types of
political violence and anarchy. It's wrong and it's going to
(09:07):
cost people their lives because Democrats refuse to stop and
act like statesmen, and instead what they're doing is they're
advocating for the craziest among us to act out.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
So this is not a joke.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Democrats right now are going all in and quote intensifying
their efforts to secure the release of Kilmar Albrego Garcia.
He is that man from Maryland who was deported to
Al Salvador and currently being detained in the country's high
security terrorism confinement center. Senator Chris Evan Holland as leading
(09:48):
the way with Democrats who think somehow this is going
to be a winning issue with the American people. He
has announced plans to travel to El Salvador for what
is It's nothing but a photo op because we just
heard from the president of El Salvador and he's like,
we're not releasing him, and why is he going to
quote advocate for the man's release, stating is intent to
(10:12):
meet with the Salvadorian officials and visit the attention facility
to quote check on Garcia. As well being Now. I
am glad to know that they know where he is
because in another photo op, his wife said, we don't
know where he is, hours after the senator said we're
going to see him in the prison. Take a listen
(10:35):
to the propaganda from MSNBC is they have also decided
to go all in to back the.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Illegal immigrant over the American people.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
The wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia just spoke outside of
a courthouse in Maryland ahead of a hearing about his
wrongful deportation, his mistaken deportation to El.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Salvador today, twenty four days of after his disappearance, and
I stand before you filled with spirit that refuses to
bring down. I will not stop fighting until I see
my husband alive. Kill maar if you can hear me,
Stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are
(11:22):
asking when would you come home, and I pray for
the day I tell them the time and date that
you'll return. As we continue through Holy Week, my heart
aches for my husband, who should have been here leading
our Easter prayers. Instead, I find myself leading with the
(11:44):
Trump administration and the Buquet administration to stop playing political
games with the life of killmar.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Now, this is clearly propaganda. You heard the wife there
say today is thirty four days of after his disappearance.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Well, you know where he is.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
He hasn't actually been disappeared, because he was arrested, and
you know where he has been sent and they're center
saying they're going to check on him. Now, if you
think that Democrats are going to give up on this,
you are wrong. Even the Trump borders are talking about
how all of this went down and how El Salvador
(12:25):
he's saying, look, they can give him back if they
want to. It's pretty clear that the l Salvador president
said we're not sending him back because why he's our citizen.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Tom, how do you respond to these democratic lawmakers, including
Van Holland, who say they're going to now ask for
a meeting with the president there in El Salvador. They're
going to travel there and demand his release.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Well, good luck with that, Carol. Evan's exactly right. Every
time I read a story about this, it's Maryland father,
Maryland father. They don't mention he's a member of MS thirteen,
doesn't a terrorists one most violent gangs in the world.
They don't mention he's MS thirteen member. They don't mention
he's an Al Salvadoran citizen being held by the country
of Al Salvador. Al Salvador makes that decision. Now, the
(13:10):
court said we gotta facilitate, will facilitate, but L Salvador
has full authority on this again, a terrorist trat. Now, Now,
if somehow he comes back and that happens, he's going
to be detained and removed again. He's an MS thirteen
gang member. Based on our intelligence and Al Salvador's intelligence,
he will be detained and he will be deported. And
(13:31):
what's the sense of bringing someone back to simply go
and face deportation again. He's a public safety tread, he's
a gang member, he's a designated terrorist. We should not
be bringing any of those people back to the United States.
That's my opinion.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Isn't it amazing that the wife doesn't tell you that
her husband is a member of the MS thirteen gang,
which is also a terrorist organization. Isn't an amazing that
MSNBC also refuses to tell you why he was actually
deported from this country. Senator Kennedy, however, was on MSNBC
just kidding. No, he wasn't he was on Fox News Channel,
(14:06):
where the same people are.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
He was asked about this entire issue. Take a listen.
Speaker 8 (14:12):
I think the President's right. If you're in our country illegally,
you're a criminal. Illegal immigration is illegal.
Speaker 9 (14:24):
Duh.
Speaker 8 (14:25):
And I think they're a plenty of laws which President
Biden ignored that allow us to deport you. I mean,
to me, it's just straightforward, and people who oppose that approach,
it seems to me, are not being intellectually honest. They
just ought to go ahead and admit they support open borders.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Senator Kennedy is absolutely right, He said the same way
I would have. The President is right, and if you're
in this country illegally, you're a criminal, Illegal immigration is illegal.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Duh.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
And I think there's a plenty of laws which President
Biden ignored that allowed us to deport you. That is
exactly why we are seeing law and order now. And
we're also seeing the Democrats choosing sides. They are not
in favor of keeping you safe. They are not in
favor of going after MS thirteen gang members. They're not
(15:19):
in favor of deporting people that are a danger to
your family. And that's why President Trump is doing it now.
As for these Democrats, they're going all in to protect
the people that aren't even citizens of this country that
broke in. So let that sit in and decide which
side of the aisle you're gonna sit on on this issue.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile real quick.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
If you've got a cell phone and your cell phone
is not with Patriot Mobile, then the question I gotta
ask you is why why have you not made the switch? Well,
you should make the switch, and the deal is really easy.
You get cutting edge technology. Switching has never been easier.
There's no store of visits, no hassles. You get to
(16:02):
keep your same phone number you have right now. You
get to keep your same phone you've got now or
upgrade to a new one. And they have a one
hundred percent US based team that can activate you literally
in minutes. The other thing that I love about Patriot
Mobile is this they have access to all three major networks,
meaning you get exceptional nationwide coverage.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I use Patriot Mobile and half for years.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
They can even put a second number on a different
network on your phone.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
It's like carrying two phones in one. You can have
a work number and a personal number. It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
They have unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet
on the go devices, and home internet backup as well.
You can get all of this from Patriot Mobile, So
why are you waiting?
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Make the switch today.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
And by the way, when you pay your bill, you
know that about five percent of that bill every month
is going back to support conservative causes. Causes stand for
our First or Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children,
and they stand with our veterans, our first responders, our
police and firemen or EMTs, and are wounded warriors. So
make a difference with every call you make. So right now,
(17:14):
go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or call them
nine seven to two Patriot. You're gonna get a free
month of service with the promo code ferguson. So switch
to Patriot Mobile and make a difference with every call
you make. Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine
seven to two Patriot.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Now, let me also just.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Give you a little bit more background, just so you
know about Garcia. He apparently has lived in the US
since two thousand and five, when he came into this
country illegally. He was also at some point granted protection
from deportation back in twenty nineteen due to quote threats
from gangs in El Salvador. He was then deported in
(17:56):
March of twenty twenty five, despite lack of any criminal record.
His family says, well, that's not true. He broke into America.
He was here illegally. He was then sent with other
deportees alleged to have gang affiliations to El Salvador. The
Trump administration is defending the deportation, citing the Alien Enemies
(18:20):
Act of seventeen ninety eight and asserting that Garcia's ties
to MS thirteen, a terrorist organization, are more than enough
with him also breaking this country to send him to
El Salvador. El Salvador's president has also said the exact
same thing. I'm not releasing Garcia. He says, this isn't
gonna happen. He says, this is a person who is
(18:40):
actually as citizen of his country, and so why would
he then send him back to America.
Speaker 8 (18:45):
Now.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
The situation has obviously sparked a lot of fake outrage
from the liberal media and the left about human rights
concerns and the treatment of quote deportees. Human rights organizations
have reporter that detainees in a Salvador prisons, including the
prison where he is being held, face harsher conditions than
(19:07):
in America. Well, let's be clear, if you don't want
to go to El Salvador's prison, maybe you shouldn't break
into the United States of America. Now, as for the Democrats,
they're trying to do anything they can to stand up
to Trump and Democratic leaders now including Representative Maxwell Frost,
a Democrat from Florida, another one from Arizona, they're now
(19:28):
expressing support for Van Hollins's initiative and are considering joining
the delegation the Democrats are putting together to El Salvador.
They say it's important that they quote stand up for
the rule of law. To be clear, all the people
they're standing up for broke American laws by breaking into America.
And they also said that we must ensure the safety
(19:51):
and the rights of individuals like Garcia. Well, to be clear,
it should be their actual country of origin that should
be looking into that, the United States of America, and
if other countries are concerned about their citizens being in
that prison, that is their job. But clearly the people
they're going to check on they're not Americans. Which brings
(20:13):
us to the bigger question, why are they spending all
of this time and money defending people who are not
actually United States of America citizens. Why are they going
down They're doing more than even their own host countries
are doing for these individuals. Well, I can answer that question, unfortunately,
(20:34):
and the answer is actually very simple. The answer is
the Democratic Party is willing to go all in to
protect and defend I legal immigrants, including those that are
in terrorist organizations, as long as it means one day
they become American citizens and they vote for Democrats. This
is no different than what we talked about months ago.
(20:56):
It's the great replacement theory. If you want to get
get rid of conservatives and Americans, then what do you do.
You import new voters, give them citizenship, and they'll vote
for you forever. And that's how you fundamentally change the
United States of America. I don't expect this fight, by
the way, to end anytime soon, and it's going to
(21:17):
be shocking to see how many more Democrats come out
and put illegal immigrants that are in gangs and terrorist
organizations ahead of you and I Americans. In a major move,
the Trump administration has just frozen two point two billion
in grants to Harvard University after the elite university announced
(21:39):
it would not comply with demands for reform to stop
anti semitism and other forms of discrimination.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Harvard University revealed.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
That it will not comply with the Trump administration's quote
list of demands for the university to make changes to
its policies regarding hiring, governance, students, admission, and anti semitism.
In a letter issued on Monday, lawyers for the university
criticize an earlier letter from the Trump administration as quote,
(22:11):
disregarding Harvard's efforts to make changes to its campus use
policies to address and combat hate and bias on campus,
and enhance campus safety and security measures, among other efforts.
The university added that the demands from the administration invade
university freedom long recognized by the Supreme Court. Now, the
(22:35):
requests from the Trump administration were actually very simple. They
asked for Harvard to quote, adopt and implement merit based
hiring policies and cease all performances based on race, color, religion, sex,
or national origin throughout its hiring, promotion, compensation the related
(22:58):
practices among faculty staff in leadership by August twenty twenty five. Quote,
the university must reform its recruitment, its screening, and admissions
of international students to prevent admitting students hostile to the
American values and institutions inscribed in the US Constitution and
Declaration of Independence. Including students supportive of terrorism or anti
(23:22):
Semitism is one of the other things that was written
by the administration. Nine response the Trump administration to Harvard
saying we're not playing ball well, they now suspended some
two point two billion of the nearly nine billion in
federal grants that are at risk. The Harvard Crimson, the
university student run newspaper, reported this way, saying, quote the
(23:46):
Trump administration paused two point two billion and multi year
grants and sixty million and multi year contracts to Harvard
over its decision earlier today to reject the White House's
demand a dramatic escalation in its crusade and the university. Now,
if you want to know what the White House says
about this, take a listen to Caroline Levitt speaking the
(24:07):
media on this issue.
Speaker 9 (24:08):
When it comes to Harvard, the President's position on this
is grounded in common sense, in the basic principle that
Jewish American students or students of any faith should not
be illegally harassed and targeted on our nation's college campuses,
and we unfortunately saw that illegal discrimination take place on
the campus of Harvard. There are countless examples to prove it,
(24:31):
particularly with the stunning confession by then Harvard president Claudine
Gay who said that bullying and harassment depended on the context.
The President at that time made it clear to the
American public he was not going to tolerate illegal harassment
and anti Semitism taking place in violations of federal law.
So the President made it clear to Harvard follow federal law,
(24:54):
no longer break Title six, which was passed by Congress
to ensure no student can be discriminated against on the
basis of race, and you will receive federal funding. Unfortunately,
Harvard has not taken the President or the administration's demands seriously.
All the President is asking, don't break federal law and
then you can have your federal funding. I think the
President is also begging a good question. More than two
(25:18):
billion dollars out the door to Harvard, when they have
a more than fifty billion dollar endowment, Why are the
American taxpayers subsidizing in university that has billions of dollars
in the bank already, and we certainly should not be
funding a place where such grave anti semitism exists.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
At the end of the day, it is very clear
that Trump administration is saying, we're going to save you money,
and we're also going to make sure that places like
Harvard have to follow the federal law, and if they don't,
there's going to be consequences.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Now.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I also sat down with sitter Ted Cruz, who's been
a big advocate for making sure that these universities.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Are not given our tax dollars if.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
They are advocating supporting these radicals on college campuses. Here
is what Senator Cruz had to say on his podcast that.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
I co host. Take a listen.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
So when you look at this fight, I do think
one of the very interesting parts of all of this
that we're talking about is now Americans are really waking
up and realizing like where their money has been going,
how much of it is going. And you're right, there's
some of this as research, and that's the thing we
can be proud of, and that's a good thing. But
a lot of this is going to indoctrinating kids with
(26:25):
radical leftist ideals. And that's part of the reason why
I think they need this money, right They want the
money for that reason. They've been doing a great job
of doing that for the last several decades. So if
the money does dry up at places like Harvard and
then we start to see more questions being asked about
other money, not only could this change universities in a
(26:46):
positive way, I think, for free speech and not having
one set of views that are indoctrinated, but it could
also save the taxpayers a hell of a lot of money,
because it's not just Harvard that's getting cash.
Speaker 10 (26:57):
Oh yeah, but Harvard is the perfect test subjet. And
our universities right now have become in doctrination labs. They've
become places that enforce rigid orthodoxy. And if you say
something that is contrary to the radical leftist view, you
risk being disciplined, you risk being having your grades, and
(27:17):
you also risk just not being admitted. And look, some
of the question comes down to a very simple what
is it that the administration was requesting? Because if the
administration was demanding, Harvard must teach in every class that
Donald Trump is the greatest president who have ever lived.
I would agree with Harvard that no university could give
(27:38):
in to a government demand about a specific position like that,
particularly if it's one they disagree with. But that's not
what the Trump administration said. And I have in front
of me the letter that the Trump administration said. It's
five pages. I'm not going to read it all, but
I'm going to read some of the portions of it.
So it is addressed both to Alan Garber, who is
(28:01):
the president of Harvard University, and A Penny Prisker, who
is the lead member of the Harvard Corporation. Penny Pritzker,
by the way, was a cabinet member under Barack Obama.
And the Harvard Corporation runs all of Harvard, and it's
this privately held corporation of all Democrats that run Harvard
as this left wing bastion. Here's how the letter begins,
Dear doctor Garber, the United States has invested in Harvard
(28:24):
University's operation because of the value to the country of
scholarly discovery and academic excellence. But an investment is not
an entitlement. It depends on Harvard upholding federal civil rights law,
and it only makes sense if Harvard fosters the kind
of environment that produces intellectual creativity and scholarly rigor, both
of which are antithetical to ideological capture. Harvard has in
(28:47):
recent years failed to live up to both the intellectual
and civil rights conditions that justify federal investment, but we
appreciate your expression of commitment to repairing those failures and
welcome your collaboration in restoring the university to its promise.
We therefore present the below provisions as the basis for
an agreement in principle that will maintain Harvard's financial relationship
(29:08):
with the federal government. Here's the first governance and leadership reforms.
By August twenty twenty five, Harvard must make meaningful governance
reform and restructuring to make possible major change consistent with
this letter, including fostering clear lines of authority and accountability.
Apparently that was objectionable, empowering tenured professors and senior leadership,
(29:32):
and from among the tenured professorate and senior leadership exclusively
those most devoted to the scholarly mission of the university
and committed to the changes indicated in this letter. Reducing
the power held by students and untenured faculty, reducing the
power held by faculty, whether tenured or untenured, at administrators
more committed to activism than scholarship. Now, again, this is
(29:57):
something Harvard found unacceptable. We're willing to focus on scholarship
instead of activism. Note that's a violation of what we
want to do. And reducing forms of governance bloat, duplication,
or decentralization that interfere with the possibility of reforms indicating
this letter. So that's the first one. Apparently something was
objectionable about that. What's the next one? Merit based hiring reform.
(30:21):
By August twenty twenty five, the university must adopt and
implement merit based hiring policies and ceased all preferences based
on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin throughout its hiring, promotion, compensation,
and related practices among faculty, staff, and leadership. Now, mind you,
that is existing federal civil rights law. You cannot discriminate
(30:42):
against based on race, and yet for Harvard that is
it is outrageous. Of course they want to discriminate based
on race. It's an ideological commitment. What's the next one,
Merit based admissions reform. By August twenty twenty five, the
university must adopt and implement merit based admission policies and
ceased all preferences based on race, color, national origin, or
(31:04):
proxies thereof, throughout its undergraduate program, each graduate program, individual,
each of its professional schools, and other programs. Again, the
idea of actually admitting students based on merit rather than
discriminating based on race, which minds you, discriminating based on
race as illegal under federal civil rights law, to Harvard,
is anathema. What's the next one? International admissions reform. By
(31:29):
August twenty twenty five, the university must reform its recruitment, screening,
and admission of international students to prevent admitting students hostile
to the American values and institutions inscribed in the US
Constitution and Declaration of Independence, including students supportive of terrorism
(31:50):
or anti Semitism. Again, apparently, that is outrageous and unacceptable.
The next one viewpoint diversity and admission and hiring. By
August twenty twenty five, the university shall commission an external
party which will satisfy the federal government as to its
competence and good faith to audit the student body, faculty, staff,
(32:10):
and leadership for viewpoint diversity, such that each department, field,
or teaching unit must be individually viewpoint diverse. Now, notably,
they're not saying higher conservatives, They're not saying higher Trump supporters.
They're saying, you cannot have a faculty that is universally
orthodox and indoctrinating that all have the same view that
(32:34):
the left loves to prattle on about diversity as our strength.
And by diversity they mean we must all be leftist
to believe the same thing, but saith though with different
skin colors. Now, I actually think diversity means having different ideas,
confronting ideas you disagree with. Look I go through these
to give an example. I think each of those demands
(32:56):
are very reasonable. They're saying, comply with federal law being
in institution that actually does what you say, what you
claim to be doing, and yet Harvard is outraged. How
dare you hold us to the terms of federal law.
We cannot comply with that.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Do me a favor.
