Speaker 1 (00:25):
Good Saturday morning to you.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Ben Ferguson with you, and these are some of the
stories that you may have missed that we talked about
this week on the forty seven Morning Update. First up,
the new book that is out as saying that Joe
Biden wasn't actually the president of the United States of America.
In fact, there's now new accusations that there was five
different people that were running the country.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
We'll have the details on that as well.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Also, the American people are now backing Donald Trump at
the same level they were on the day he was inaugurated.
This after big news from a Middle East trip, the
trade in tariff.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Negotiations going extremely.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Well, and the President making it cleary securing the border.
We'll have those details on those polls in just a moment.
And finally, Tom Homan, the Borders Are is going to
join us in a moment and we're going to talk
a lot about what's happening at the border, as well
as what's happening with Fentyl and the national security crisis.
It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Story number one.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
The Atlantic has come out with a new article entitled
an Autopsy Report on Biden's in office decline. The headline
reads this way about the new book Original Sin. That
book says this, five people were running the country and
Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board. Now,

(01:48):
this new book that has come out, Jake Tapper is
one of the authors of it from CNN, is now
describing a presidency without a president where there were five people,
none of them actually named in this book, who were
running the country and calling all of the shots. We
also are now learning that the cognitive decline of the

(02:09):
president was massive even before he became President of the
United States of America. For example, three years later, on
the presidential campaign trail, Biden's struggles became more obvious to
those around him. Tapper and Thompson report in twenty twenty,
for example, members of Biden's inner circle gave the candidate
a teleprompter with scripted questions for a local news interview.

(02:33):
His dwindling communicative and cognitive abilities, aids were shocked, as
they said they couldn't rely on Biden to stay on message,
and he often had a very short attention span. The
book's most astounding, previously unreported story from Biden's twenty twenty
campaign concerns his staff's attempts to create videos of the

(02:55):
candidates speaking to voters over zoom. Tapper and Thompson's description
of this this is worth quoting at length, saying this
Biden would sit in a room with several monitors beaming
the faces of real Americans in front of him so
they could discuss issues of importance. You have to remember
this was during the time of COVID. The videos came
back hours of footage. Some on the team couldn't believe

(03:19):
their eyes. The videos were horrible. One top Democrat said
he couldn't follow the conversation at all. I couldn't believe
it set A second Democrat who hadn't seen Biden in
a few years. It was like a different person. It
was incredible. This was like watching Grandpa who shouldn't be driving. Yes,
they're referring to Joe Biden when he was running for

(03:42):
president in twenty twenty. A special team was brought in
and told to edit the videos down to make them arable,
if only a few minutes worth. They had to get
quote creative. The authors go on to write edited the
videos likely appeared fine the viewers, Biden no worse than
any other you're on zoom, But two of the Democrats
who were involved in the film's production together were dumbfounded, saying, quote,

(04:06):
I didn't think he could be president. The second Democrats said,
after what they'd seen, they couldn't understand how Biden could be.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Capable of doing the job.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
And that's not the only thing that apparently is being
revealed in this book that comes out on Tuesday. Another
example of just how bad things were quote.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
In twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Two, according to one witness, Biden found himself unable to
remember the names of his own national security advisor, Jake Sullivan,
Steve he called him at least twice, or his communications
director Kate Bettingfield, whom Biden once resorted to calling press.
That's not the only thing that we learned from this

(04:47):
book and the excerpts. As some high ranking Democrats quoted
anonymously in the book put it to Tapper and Thompson,
after Biden's disasters debate with Trump last June, they said, quote, just.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Who the hell is running the country? Question mark.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
At least one unnamed source close to the Biden administration
was willing to provide the authors with an answer. And
this is the part that should make every American angry.
Quote five people were running the country, the insider said,
seemingly referring to the president's closest advisers, and Joe Biden
was at best a senior member of the board. Near

(05:23):
the end of the book, Tapper and Thompson offer a
glimpse into how powerful Democrats responded, for example, to the
grim spectacle of Biden's early summer face off with Trump.
The authors described as seeing that the home of James Costos,
an ambassador to Spain under Obama, where celebrities and politicians
gathered to watch the debate as a dodoring Biden tanked

(05:46):
on stage in front of some fifty million Americans. The
film director and Democratic donor Rob Reiner became scared, then furious, saying, quote,
We're going to lose our efing democracy because of you,
he screamed, seeming to direct his ear at the closest
thing to a Biden official in the room. Who was it,
the second gentleman, Doug Enhoff. What Reiner apparently failed to consider,

(06:10):
but what original sin the book prompts readers to ask,
is whether America's democracy was already meaningfully diminished. Describing how
some in Biden's world justified propping him up for reelection
in twenty twenty four, A longtime aide toil Tapper and
Thompson quote, he just had to win and then he
could disappear for four years. He'd only have to show

(06:33):
proof of life every once in a while. In other words,
before Biden stepped down from the race, the plan for
some aid seemed to be the weekend at Bernie's, a
cognitively impaired president, in the hopes that upon winning a
second term, he could be hidden from the public while
unelected staff took care of the real business of governing.

(06:53):
When you vote for somebody, you're voting for the people
around them.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Too.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
This aid offered as a way of justifying what was,
by any reasonable metric, an effort to undermine democracy and
defraud the American people.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
So, yes, the cover up was massive.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Yes we had someone running the country or a group
of people that were elected by no one. And now
the question is what is Congress going to do about it?
And will there be an investigation? We'll keep covering it
right here now, story number two. There's one thing that
is for sure. Democrats are having a tough couple of weeks.
James Comy is under investigation. Now there's a massive tell

(07:32):
all book talking about Joe Biden not actually being the
president of the United States of America and Democrats who
are rallying behind the eighty six forty seven picture on
the beach.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
It's not going well. But who is it going well for?

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Where Four polls are now showing that Donald Trump has
a strong approval rating. That's right, coming off of last
week's trip to the Middle East. In his administration's recent
progress on trade agreements, it appeared a boosted the perception
among American voters, with four national polls now showing Donald
Trump's favorability rating above forty seven percent. Consistent with the

(08:10):
levels following his inauguration. Polls released on Monday by Morning
consult Rasmussen and Harvard Harris showed Trump's approval ratings at
forty eight, forty nine, and forty seven, respectively, and the
Daily Mail poll release Sunday showed his approval rating at
actually fifty percent. Despite the doom and gloom headlines from
news organizations, the American people actually feel great about the

(08:34):
direction of the country. That's what the White House had
to say, and adding this what's to hate. We are
undoing the widely unpopular agenda of the previous office holder,
uprooting waste, fraud and abuse, and chugging along on the
great American comeback. The Daily Mail poll was conducted by
the Way May thirteenth and fourteenth, with a large sample

(08:54):
size of more than one thousand registered voters. Trump's approval
rating is a five percentage points from a poll taking
one hundred days into his second term nearly three weeks ago.
The most important thing this shows is that Trump can
bounce back when some of his voters waiver. Is what
James Johnson, the co founder of j L Partners, said.

(09:15):
People who are concerned about the sense of direction. The
strength after tariff reversals are now back on board as
they see the President doing what they feel he does best,
making deals. This on top of the new news that
we may actually get an endo the war with Ukraine
and Russia that the President is brokering, will only push
his approval ratings higher.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
And finally, story number three.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
There is one man that is fighting tooth and nail
to keep all Americans safe and getting rid of violent
criminals that are in this country illegally. His name is
Tom Homan and he's the borders are And I was
able to sit down with him and ask him several
questions about exactly where we are and the fight to
get rid of so many people that broke in this
country illegally.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
And here is what he had to say.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
You mentioned the budget a moment ago, and how important
it is to have the budget for you guys to
continue your job.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Explain for everyone listening.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Is that referencing that the big beautiful bill and what
is in there that you need so much to continue
to do your job at the border?

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Well, we want to make the border secure permanently, so
we need more infrastructure, right, so we need to finish
building that wall. Now, let's be clear, every place they
build a border barrier, illegal migrations went down, illegal drug
flow went down. But most important, walls save lives. Women
and children can't get over that wall, the most vulnerable,
so they go to a place so there's not a
wall on what's waiting on them the men and women

(10:36):
of the border patrol first of all. So the ball
saves lives. So we need to finish the border barrier.
We need money to finish the technology within the existing
border wall, because not only did President by And stop
the construction of the wall, he stopped adding the technology
in that smart wall. Technology that let's just know how
someone climbs that wall, touch this wall, dig under that wall.
Technology where borbitual agents in the middle of nowhere can

(10:58):
get on the radio and use walls repeaters to talk
to other agents for help. There are some places on
the southern border where they lose all communications. So all
that technology needs to be done. More technology yet, and
port of entries to make sure no ventano's coming through.
And as far as the entire enforcement, we need beds.
Right now, we got about fifty two thousand people in detention.

(11:19):
We're funder that thirty four thousand ICE is already in
the hole. We need about one hundred thousand beds because
everybody we arrest needs a bet. We just don't rest
somebody in New York City and put them on a
plane leave. We got to detain them for several days
or several weeks to get travel doctrines, get flight flight arrangements,
flight finances. So we need bets. So we need you know,
so this budget, that the depending budget right now, the

(11:40):
big beautiful bill, will give us some money filled beds.
They're going to give us thousands of more borbagilations, thousands
more ICE agents. It's going to give ICE a budget
to bring in more contracts up. What I mean by
that badgers and guns shouldn't be sitting at a desk
doing reports of processing. They shouldn't be sitting at a
desk doing travel doctrins and all the all the administrative

(12:02):
duties that occurred within ICE. You can have a contractor
sitting there doing that work. Give that badging gun, get
them out on the street to arrest the public safety
thrusts and national security threats. So we needed the money
to do. Like I said, We're doing more than Biden
did but Biden wasn't doing anything. We need to do
ten times more than buying too, not three times more.
And I'll leave you with this. We got seven hundred
thousand illegal aliens in this country where the criminal conviction

(12:25):
walking the streets this country. We got to get them.
We got to gain it quickly. We got one point
four man illegal aliens who do head due process a
great taxpayer expense, were ordered removed by a federal judge
and didn't leave, and they become fusitives. We got a
lot of work to do, and we need money to
do more. We're doing good, but more money we have,
the more we can do.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Tom, you mentioned finding them all. Let's talk about sanctuary
cities for a second. It's very clear Democrats are not
backing off of that. How dangerous is the policy? And
who is being harbored in these cities that are refusing
to work with you guys?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Will there be accountability?

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Are they harboring MS thirteen gang members and domestic terrafts,
foreign terrafts? Uh, those that are putting the fetnel out
in society? How dangerous are these cities?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Were the dangerous the dangerous for everybody because in the
sanctuary city means I don't have access to the jail
arrust a bad guy public safety threat in the safety
and security of the jail, where the alien safe, the
officers safe, on the public safe. When sanctuary cities knowingly
leased a public safety a threat back in the street,
it certainly puts the community at risk. It even puts

(13:34):
the alien at risk because anything can happen during the
street arrest and great, it puts the officer that great
arrisk because now we've got to arrest a criminal alien
public safety threat on his turf. We has access to
who knows what weapons. It's very dangerous and yestural host
Sanctuary cities accountable. Its pam binding has already fought lawsuits
against several Uh, we're we're we're working with DJ now again.

(13:55):
We want we want where's that right? Where's that where's
that line? Where when do you cross that line? You
can sit there and watch Ice do your job. Because
here's what irritates me the most. I don't care what
party you're in. If you're an elected mayor, elect, a
city council person, or elected governor, your number one responsibility
it's the safety and security of your neighborhoods, your communities.

(14:19):
ICE has been clear from the beginning with President Trump,
We're going to prioritize public safety threats and national security threats.
Why will you not help us make your community safer.
There's no downside on that. And the sanctuary city is
want to argue what we're a sanctuary city because we
want victims and witnesses of crime, if they're illegally United States,

(14:39):
to feel comfortable coming to the law enforcement without fear
of working with ICE. That is a bunch of crap.
Victims and witnesses of crime don't want the bad guy
in the neighborhood either. And as far as the illegal
alien community, I'll say this, despite being here illegally, many
of them are god fearing family people. They don't want
a preyer in they neighborhood either. They didn't want someone

(15:00):
convicted DUI ten times driving to their neighborhood either. So
you know, if you go to the immigrant community and
ask them one simple question, would you rather have ICE
operating in the jail or in your community? What do
you think they're going to say? They're going to say
to jail, so sanctuouses will be held accountable. Matter of fact,
we're reissuing the ICE detainer. We just changed the new
ICE detainer. We're letting them black and white. Let them

(15:21):
know this person is a designated terrorist, this person is
a designated return felon. We're going to let them know
exactly who they were detaining based on biographic and biometric information,
and see what they do. Are they going to violate
Relates and Riley Act, Then we'll go out to prosecution.
Now they're going to know at least a terrorist. Then
we're going to go out to prosecution. So it's about

(15:41):
to get a lot tougher, and it's the right thing
to do.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
I want to go back to accountability for a second time,
and I want to ask you there are a lot
of people that believe that there were laws that were
broken deliberately in the last administration. They knew they were
breaking the law. One of those would be former Homeland
Security Secretary. My orc is that you mentioned a moment ago.
So should he be criminally prosecuted for his role in
the border crisis if it was as deliberate as it

(16:05):
now seems.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Look, I think what he did was borderline trees in this.
I'm not an attorney, I'm not a prosecutor. But what
he did, he did more damage to this country. Him
and the Biden administration. What they did to this country,
I can tell you when they opened that border up
sex trafficking women should to increase tenfold of a record
number of migrants died making that journey. Over four thousand

(16:31):
or record number of Americans died from fatanah that come
across that open border. And it's just what he calls
this country and from a national securities perspective, because here's
what his orders were, process quick, release quick. They didn't
care about the crisis. They cared about the optics of
the crisis. If there's no overcrowding, there's nothing to see here.

(16:52):
So border trades were processed as quick as they could
and releasing that quicker as they could. And there's been
several instances would they release so quickly the FBI scan
didn't come back and and it came back hot. Actually
they already Bember released. They came back hot as a
non inspected terrorst So, yeah, he what he did was unconsortable.
What he did is in my opinion borderline in treeson

(17:15):
is he should be held accountable because a lot of
deaths occurred under his watch, and look at like like
Sandra Cruz said a few minutes ago, right now, ninety
six percent decline and illegal immigration when ninety six percent
less people are coming. How many women aren't being raped,
How many children aren't dying crossing a border. How many
no inspected terrorists aren't getting in the country. How many

(17:35):
pounds of fatanyl is not getting a country? What are
you going to see in the President Trump's administration? Vatanyl
deaths to decrease, sex trafficking with decrease, smuggling with decrease,
and no inspected terrors. They got no open n anymore.
Now that we got the boarder secure, every single borders
religion is under lying on patrol. During his National security
duty under Joe Biden, it was an average most days,

(17:58):
an average seventy seven zero seventy percent of agents were
no longer on patrol. They were changing diapers, making baby formula,
making hospital runs. The last time I went down there
before the election, I talked to hundreds of board plays
and told me to hang on, hang on, change his coming.
I really think Plesant Tump's going to win, but they
told me no, We're sick of being tour station. We're

(18:18):
sick of being uber drivers. We process and delivered these
people to the very same people who pay for their smuggling.
They couldn't recruit, They couldn't people were quitting. They were
quit before it even else well for retirement. They couldn't
read recruiting numbers. You know, last month, Ice, I'm excusing
bor Patrol had the highest recruiting numbers and the history

(18:39):
of that ABC just last month.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
I gotta say, there's so many Americans that are so
thankful that Donald Trump picked Tom home And to lead
in this role. And it's also very clear that he's
not stopping. He is going to continue to fight for
Americans and make sure that these violent criminals and those
that are human trafficking, sex trafficking, bringing in FETNOH at
record numbers, and killing American citizens are out of this

(19:04):
country for good.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
He also is fighting hard to secure our southern.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Border and continued to build the wall they promised that
Donald Trump said, we'll be done while he's in office
during the next four years.
