Tell us about this crazy first dateyou've been on. We want to hear
this story. So I was newto the area, you know, wanted
to meet some people. So Iwent on an online dating site. I
chatted with this man. He wasa retired attorney. He was really funny

and nice and smart, and sowe decided to meet. He gave me
an address to meet him in Baltimore. He lived over by Johns Hopkins.
I get there and it's not likea real address, it's just an intersection.
So I sent him a text message. I'm like, hey, I'm
here, but there's nothing here,and he says, oh, just a
minute, just a minute. AndI see this guy come running down the

sidewalk, like in front of allof these old brownstones, and he's like
it's me. And I'm thinking thisis really weird. And so he convinces
me to come to his house.And I'm like, this is crazy,
but I'm a nice person. Ithink well of people, so I follow
him his house. We walk inside. There's no furniture in the house except
for or a camp chair and cagesand cages of birds like little parent keets,

and they're just tweeting away and theycages haven't been cleaned. He runs
upstairs. He comes downstairs, like, I got my stuff. We go
out, we have the date,We go lunch, we go to the
museum, we come back, andthe whole time I'm thinking, oh,
good lord, how am I gettingout of this? At the end,
you know, I say goodbye,say thank you, go about my married
business. So had he just movedinto this place and was trying to furnish

it? Well, he had toldme that he'd lived in this brownstone for
like forty years. That's very odd. Did you ever find out what all
the birds were for? You know? I was kind of afraid to ask,
like what do you say? Like, hey man, what's with all
the birds? Yes? You do? Yes, yeah, clearly you're not

interested. Did he try to contactyou after that first date? Well,
he texted me a few times andI did not respond. Finally he sent
like the final text and it said, I guess you didn't have as good
a time as I did, Lily, Did you move on with somebody who
had more than just birds going on? I did end up with a guy
that I had known some time ago, and we just rekindled so and he
