9/5 Crazy First Date – Devan in D.C. and the Medical Emergency

Devan in D.C. went on a first date that she didn’t feel so great for. Turns out she was having a slow onset of a serious medical situation, that left her unconscious. They ended up in the hospital. But did they end up together after it all? Listen to this Crazy First Date to find out!

It's Toby and Chili's crazy first date inside the District.
Devin is here with a story for Chili and I
go ahead. We're listening.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
So I met this guy at a party one night
and we really hit it off. We ended up going
on a date a couple nights later. We had food,
we were watching a movie at his and I started
getting this really bad pain in my stomach, but I
wasn't going to say anything about it because I was like, Oh,
it's first date, jitters, it's been kind of embarrassing. I'm
not going to say anything. It ended up getting worse
and worse, and I passed out in his room. When

(00:29):
I woke up, he brought me to the hospital and
turns out I had a freak accident, so I was
internally hemorrhaging. It's really scary. I didn't have like any
friends or family in the DC area yet I ended
up like they called a code on me. But he
called off of work and stayed with me the whole time.
It just was like terrible, being in a bed, looking like,
what's your favorite color?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Well, it's like the worst first date ever.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
That was very cool that he stayed with you did
you guys ever get a redo, like did you see
him again?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
This hospital food, the dinner dejoure of the date?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
That what?

Speaker 5 (01:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yeah, we ended up seeing each other like a week
later after I healed up, and we've been dating for
over a year now.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
I basically watched you die and come back to life. Yep,
exactly day.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
It was like something inside of her. She's like, you
can't let this date end in scrubs.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, they all thought he was my husband. They're like
asking me medical questions.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Oh yeah, they do that from time to time.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
And you guys are still together.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah, we made it official, like I think a week later,
like the next time we saw each other.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
