Mary in Burke met his parents on the first date...and was left alone with them.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Toby and Tilly's crazy for a date.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Mary and Burg Virginia is here to tell us all
about this crazy first date. So what happened?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Well, we were at a balmart basically, and I knew
the band and I was sitting with the band and
this guy came over and said, hey, do one of
you ladies want to dance? And they all pointed to me,
So I dance and then he takes me back to
his table with actually his parents were sitting at also.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Wow, that was bold. How did that go?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Very interesting? And then you know, oh he introduced me
and they thought we knew each other for years. He
walks away from the table and leaves me there with
his parents. I didn't even know this guy or his parents.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
So how do you strike up conversation? Then you're like, hey, mom, dad,
I just met your son a minute ago, and now
here I am meeting you all on the first hang.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
It was very awkward. He came back to the table eventually.
He was very social at this place, and we kind
of hung out a little bit and then he asked
me for my number later and then we went out.
But I will just tell you we're married forty two
years now.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
So I guess mom and dad approved.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, I guess.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So now, was there anything that you would have redone
or had him READO about that first night with you?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I'm not sure because it was kind of fun and
it's an interesting story that you meet everyone at the
same time.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Leaving you with mom and dad. That's that's bold.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
